Sunday lunch at The Dining Room. The food was exquisite. The service, impeccable. The environment just oozes class. Anywhere that hosts the Royal gets my vote.
Each and every member off staff was polite, engaging and made you feel special.
My wife and I had the good fortune to listen to the General Manager, David Morgan Hewitt speak on the Cunards Queen Victoria. Since then we have wanted to visit and am so glad we did. We will definitely return.

The thing that stood out the most at the Goring was the amazing staff. We have traveled the world, and have stayed at some of the top hotels, and the Goring's staff is some of the best staff we have experienced. They are genuine and incredibly helpful without being invasive. Truly a class act. Our room was very clean-- which is a big deal for me, and the hotel itself had a great energy about it. At the end of the day though, I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff was, maybe because it can be rare to have this experience, even at some of the finest hotels, so it was such a treat and will not be forgotten. I especially want to single out Joseph at the door and Little John for being so kind and helpful. They both made our stay brighter.

The location is lovely but the afternoon tea at £85 per person could do with improvement particularly when compared to other 5* hotels offering the same. Firstly we were not asked when the champagne was served, at what point we would like the tea. This meant by the time we had finished the bubbly, the tea was not as hot as it should have been. Secondly when they brought out the sandwiches, scones, cakes, there were only 5 cakes between 3 of us which meant having to ask. Although they said that more would be offered, this should not be necessary. Thirdly the scones were cold and no cream which we again had to ask for. Finally the quality of the sandwiches was distinctly average. The ham had virtually no mustard, the egg was virtually tasteless and I have had far better smoked salmon. The Turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry was good. There was a lack of festive atmosphere so it was fortunate that there was Christmas music in the?adjacent bar. For me, The Goring could do much better.

Gorgeous hotel, we were there for afternoon tea which was OK, samiches were quite poor I think, very scant fillings, lovely cakes and tea. Wouldn't go there for tea again but would love to stay. Excellent location.

Really nice, we went to the restaurant and the food was brilliant but we had the lobster for starter and there was shell in it. The staff briefly apologised but would expect more from this level of restaurant. Other than that the food was good.

We stayed 1 week with the wonderful helpful staff at the Goring. Delightful understated elegance. Our room, bedding and toweling were of the highest quality. We enjoyed two delightfully prepared dinners in the hotel dining room. Each were thoughtfully prepared and wonderfully presented. Tibor worked diligently along with John to assist us in making impossible reservations. Tibor got us into the Core restaurant by Claire Smyth which we found impossible to book while in the USA and John worked for two whole days to get us into Buckingham palace. Our only disappointed moment came when attempting to make high tea accomodations on my birthday and we're told that we couldn't. We thought that arrangements would be made for guests of the hotel to be accommodated without reservations. Our delightful hostess worked very diligently to assist, but we didn't get tea cakes or the full experience and had to sit in the bar. We found Peter to be absolutely delightful, always interested in a chat and a laugh. Our first extended visit out of country since lockdown began and we were so pleased. Thank you Goring staff. We will be back.

The staff and hotel were top notch. I want to especially thank Nicolette for taking the time to make me a list of places to go when we arrive in Budapest. Martin, Eduardo and the wonderful concierge staff were an amazing help during our stay. Charlie in the lounge was attentive and very pleasant to talk to. The Goring hotel was an overall success and we will be returning very soon.

We were looking for a cup of tea!....Door men were very accommodating, took us inside and arranged for our luggage to be stowed. The hotel bar is very elegant ( of course) and we were served tea for two. Although, the waiter seemed insisting that we order something else as just 'tea wasn't served to none residents. So, we asked for tequila ( was 11 30 am 🤭) The other staff appeared to take it in good enough humour 😅
We left after a few....very happy..thanks!
Was a strange but fun experience.

Pa Mal! Elegant and chic. Modern and traditional. The chef has a magical talent. Try the Pithivier - it is amazing. I had Dover Sole - pan fried. My experience was enlightening. The whiskey sour, the Negroni and the Oat Milk cappuccino were fabulous. Our fav was the starter mini flakey pastry cups with smoked salmon and caviar. The menu was so extensive…come back and try everything. We saw them ‘parade the beed’ wellington. It was big enough for two.
Be ready for LOADS of butter and super French flavor! All the good and none of the bad! Lots of light and a really tightly liveried staff! Loved it! Was supposed to be afternoon tea! HAPPY !

We enjoyed Afternoon Tea on Wednesday which was booked for a friend's 50th treat. I'd been here 13 years ago for a friend's Hen Do and always remembered how incredible the staff were. I am really happy to say that the service, food, atmoshphere etc was still as good as I remembered it and I actually can't wait to go back again.
I've had afternoon Tea and The Ritz and Harrods but for me The Goring is the best choice.
My friend was taken ill during our visit on Wednesday and the staff could not have been any more amazing at dealing with the situation.
Thank you so much to Colin, the Duty Manager and his lovely team.

A classic hotel with style. The care and attention provided by the staff is really excellent. The restaurants provide what might be termed first class " traditional" food. An extremely pleasant place to have a drink and a meal. Of course this does come at a cost. - worth it though.
J. B.
Very traditional decor and setting. Beautifully presented from the flowers and plants outside through to the lounge and the ladies facilities.
G. E.
What an outstanding hotel! The entire experience was perfect from beginning to end. Obviously The Goring is an expensive hotel but the difference between this and other hotels was very plain to see and in our opinion, worth the extra that you'd pay to stay here. The staff were professional and friendly and there was a real feeling that they cared about our stay; they couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are immaculately clean and there is a good range of high quality toiletries and other extras. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The location is also excellent - a 10 minute walk from so many attractions and shopping experiences. We will without doubt, visit again!

The most personal and amazing wedding reception that I could have wished for. Beautiful location, attentive service, friendly staff. Magical. I have never experienced a more excellent hotel. I will go back, and would recommend it thoroughly to anyone looking for a truly English experience. The Goring is a truly wonderful institution.

We visited the Goring Hotel for drinks in the veranda and dinner in the restaurant on Friday the 6th of auguest for 9 of us 3 generation of family to celebrate a graduation.
The service and immaculate attention to detail by all of the multi cultural and very well trained staff was amazing and so far the best service and restaurant we have eaten at.
The food was beautiful presented and delicious.
We will. Certainly be back again. A firm favourite of ours in london.
M. C.

Excellent full stop! No wonder it's her Majesty's favourite place!

We had the most magical experience here. What started out as a birthday treat ended up as an engagement surprise. The staff were incredible all the way through from when we arrived till when we left. We had drinks by the fire, afternoon tea (highly recommended) and celebratory drinks in our room which had been done up for us. Service was not only good, but incredibly slick making it an effortlessly enjoyable experience going above and beyond which was incredible. I’m looking forward to coming back for many more anniversary celebrations in future.
B. E.
The Verandah restaurant is the place to go for its ambience, good food and an excellent wine list. Be sure and try the lobster omelette- it's beyond perfection. 10/10

I was celebrating with a friend on 26th May. We decided to meet at the bar in the Goring.
Lovely ambiance, and decor. The Bar was full but we were seated near the bar.
I ordered an amended Manhatten which was amazing. The mixologist created the cocktail as per my requirements so i was very impressed.
I was equally impressed with the service delivered by Nicolette. She was attentive, showed a lot of care, listened to my specific requirements and delivered outstanding service overall. I was very impressed.
Highly recommended

We had the pleasure of staying here with our son and wife. The food was outstanding, it has been a long time since I have said I really enjoyed that meal, the flavours of the beetroot and goats cheese curd was out of this world. The staff dealt with the unusual event brilliantly.

The Goring hotel is the absolute best place to go to experience feeling like British Royalty. Room was extremely comfortable, especially the bed. The location of this hotel is ideal for taking the bus or the tube. Attention to detail seen there is seldom seen today at any price.

Goodness me, I just can't believe it is a year since the last visit but so good to be back at The Goring. The hospitality is wonderful and has been our home in London for ***y years. Sunday morning we awake to huge gargling noises in the …
T. M.
The hotel enjoys an extraordinarily quiet setting despite its close proximity to Buckingham Palace. It's located @ a block from Victoria Station and near Buckingham Palace. All the extras, from helping with directions to arranging extra services was done to perfection. For this level of service prices are completely adequate.
K. M.
Had afternoon tea here. Amazing service and great food. Beautiful room.
N. B.
Fabulous place a little taste of old England, best cocktails in town. Not cheap but service second to none
S. W.
The Goring Hotel is delightful. The staff are excellent, the hotel is in immaculate condition and the rooms are very well attended. High Tea is glorious, with brilliant service in a wonderful setting. Would definitely recommend a visit.

J. M.
What a beautiful hotel, ima late friendly service. Just enough attention without fuss. Lovely well equipped rooms with lovely little touches and treats. The meal in the main restaurant was a notch up from the 1 star it has in my view! We were there for only 24 hours but we felt as if everyone really knew us and made us welcome and part of the family. Thanks!
T. M.
The people who work at the Goring could not do more to try to make you feel comfortable and happy. I am mindful of the fact that my children are not used to strangers and although booked a babysitter for the evening so my husband and I could enjoy a meal in the Goring restaurant. Defo worth a visit.
R. M.
Great location. Lovely suite. Bedroom was very nice, but a bit small, bathroom and lounge were great. Staff / service was good.
S. K.
We dined in the Siren restaurant, it was amazing! Absolutely faultless cooking, fish was perfect, flavours were epic! Service was wonderful, the lovely Irish lady looking after us through dinner was fantastic! Well worth a visit!
R. C.
What a fabulous place. Afternoon tea to die for. How a hotel and staff should be
T. M.
Somewhere between the future and the past is a wonderful inn named The Goring. Hotel has a very central location. The staff was awesome and addressed us by name every time we entered or left the hotel. We were given a non balcony room which could only be described as tiny.
P. B.
We had an amazing evening out with friends the staff went over and above to make our experience one to remember,,,! I recommend the goring

K. B.
Beautiful setting, fantastic food and friendly staff. What's not to love?
R. C.
Beautifully decorated hotel. Went for the afternoon tea and it was a fantastic experience. Food was excellent quality, great selection of teas and champagnes, impeccable service. We were not rushed to leave and spent a leisurely three hours grazing with staff regularly asking if we wanted extra sandwiches, etc. I think it is better than The Ritz and on a par with Clivden for afternoon teas.
S. M.
Excellent service. Really loved the ginger lemon and honey tea they specially prepared for me!!
P. L.
Went there for afternoon tea, a very nice experience! Was very classic and especially the white tea was very delicious!
P. L.
Went to the Goring for high tea. Amazing building, amazing atmosphere, amazing service.. at the beginning. Once everything was served, refilling anything was slow. Even trying to get the attention of the staff was difficult. Seemed like there were too little waiting staff for too many tables.
M. K.
Lovely dinning experience in a beautiful room with great service and fantastic food

To have a meal at the Dining Room is a fantastic experience. Excellent food, exemplary service and wonderful ambience. Unlike the Ritz, there’s no nagging dress code here and certainly none of the stuffiness as well.

P. A.
A quintessential British hotel with an outstanding staff and a great restaurant
R. S.
Went her for an afternoon tea with a guest in a wheelchair. Arrived a little early so we were seated in the bar for a drink. The service here is absolutely amazing as each staff member was polite, friendly and very accommodating. The tea food was very tasty and replenished often. I would highly recommend this for visitors looking for that quintessential tea experience. For men, wear a shirt with a collar though.

Fabulous dinner in a beautiful setting in Siren, top service too
K. S.
My stay at the Goring was great! Very attentive staff and the restaurant in the hotel was superb. Hotel is located in a very central location and it's right by a metro stop (Victoria). My favorite part is probably the heated bathroom floor and the little sheep plushie they give you.
N. S.
I had afternoon tea with my family on Saturday and it was a wonderful experience. Everything about the experience was exceptional from perfect service, delicious food and a stunning venue.
R. C.
We came here for an afternoon and it was the best afternoon tea one can ever have! Amazing service and our plates of sandwiches/scones/cakes kept on coming, plus they have a lot of variety (vegetarian/vegan). Lovely decoration and amazing history behind those sheeps =) which is part of their branding.
S. M.
Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea.
A. E.
We often go there to relax and enjoy a cocktail and light snack. But we are very disappointed that the lovely tasty cheese nibbles that used to be served with the drinks are no longer available. That’s a real shame. It set the Goring apart from other places with the usual bar snacks.
I Still love the place though.
J. M.
I have not stayed in this hotel, however I go often for drinks. It is a lovely atmosphere and wonderful service. The food is also good and the decor is lovely.
M. J.
An absolutely exquisite venue. amazing staff, food, atmosphere, service and more.

D. A.
Amazing hotel, wonderful staff. Attentive and incredible food at the newly opened siren by Nathan outlaw which is located in the specially built conservatory overlooking the garden!
J. M.
Three course set menu for us, great value at £51 plus service, which includes a free glass of champagne. We arrived early for our table at six and were given snacks while we waited. There was no pressure to buy drinks in the bar, we just sat and relaxed. Food was exceptional and service just as good. The best part though was that we were on our own for the first hour and every time the staff moved we knew it was for us. That was a great experience
A. L.
Excellent service, bar a bit too dark and the music a bit too loud for day time
M. J.
Top quality facilities and staff.
M.
Excellent Afternoon tea. Very attentive but relaxed service. It's a 5 star hotel without the snobbery of other London hotels.

British hospitality at its finest! I booked a room here for my sister’s birthday and the service was just sublime. They delivered her surprise birthday gifts to our lunch table and upgraded her room. I’ve already re-booked it for my mother’s next trip to London and will be booking it for my bridal party this autumn

A little out of the way and a lot smaller then the other hotel we stay in, but perhaps all the better for it. As with the Dorchester, exceptional service.

I have been coming to the hotel for many years. A warm welcome, wonderful dining and perfect service are guaranteed.
D. P.
An amazing 5* hotel in the heart of London. Service is top notch as expected with beautiful interior design. Feel like a Princess near the Royal palace, if you can afford it.

I took my wife to the Goring hotel one year ago and I am desperate to return . Our experience was so wonderful . Our room wasn’t particularly large but it was very comfortable and beautifully decorated . All the staff were warm and welcoming in particular , the head porter who I hope hasn’t retired . Just a beautiful hotel.

Not for the faint of budget!
This place was recommended to me as a nice place to grab a bite to eat. Nice should have been replaced with the word expensive. The walk there was nice, especially through the small neighborhood immediately East of the hotel - hidden from main roads.
We took a look at the menu, and it was clear that this was a place for the posh. Buluga caviar was £600 for 100oz!
C. P.
Only popped in for a drink but was welcomed by staff and was seated in good time considering how busy it was I would of given 5 star but took a while to get our bill and nearly missed our train .
P. D.
Service is simply the best ever! Atmosphere amazing and very reasonable in price! Never any complaints.
R. M.
Ok.Now I've been there it's just so fancy and awesome it had really nice food
A. C.
Such a beautiful and relaxing garden and terrace ! Food is great too!

Absolutely magnificent hotel with wonderfully professional staff. Will definitely be back.
J. T.
Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with an afternoon tea.
L. W.
Room was lovely, nice atmosphere, afternoon tea was really good and service good too. Very impressed that they renewed plates of sandwichs and scones!
A. O.
Had our Christmas party there and it was a lovely time, we was all looked after extremely well, my managers shoe broke on arrival and they managed to find some superglue to repair her shoe. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was lovely and well prepared
J. F.
Had afternoon tea, followed by drinks in the bar yesterday with a friend. This was our first visit to The Goring and We were both very impressed indeed! Every aspect of our visit was nothing short of excellent. Well done! Oh, and special thanks to Alex and George.
A. M.
The most AMAZING afternoon tea experience. Top notch service! I felt like royalty.
A. D.
The afternoon tea at the Goring hotel was as lovely as expected. It's in a beautiful location, with a lovely little garden and gorgeous rooms. The food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating. Our booking was for 4pm, so they started to set the other tables for dinner, which meant that service was slightly slow at times. One of the party was gluten free, which was not a problem and the free from selection was very similar to the set menu - which makes a nice change. Overall a lovely experience as you would expect it to be.
S.
A very fancy Sunday afternoon tea experience to shoo away pre Monday blues. Great ambiance and the service crew were very pleasant. We feel very welcomed :)
Food wise, a rating of 7/10 based on my personal preference.
J. S.
Traditional grand style hotel .The only privately owned hotel in London still owned by same family since 1910.
Charming service and excellent restaurant with michlin star.
M. D.
Fantastic place for lunch, fantastic place for dinner, fantastic place for London. They are having the bar decorated at the moment at the goring and the waiting service prior to lunch has gone missing. We would previously have been sitting in the bar waiting for the sommelier to take out wine order and food order but now that seems to have disappeared, perhaps it is just a phase while the bar is refurbished. Apart from this one complaint from our visit in March the food was out of this world as always and the service was 7 star incredible.
N. C.
Such a lovely hotel, it is my favourite place to meet friends.
C. F.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The central location within walking distance of Westminster, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and Mayfair is a huge plus. In addition to the refined elegance, I appreciated the quirks like the little stuffed sheep that adorn the place.
C.
Wonderful food, excellent service. The lobster omelet was amazing, not at all what I expected, highly recommend the lobster omelet and risotto.
S. D.
One of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in whilst in london

The best hotel we ever visited in London. It was like living in a Downton Abbey episode, very kindfull staff and an experience of total quality from service to food.

Despite the construction work going on still the best lunch experience. Food to die for..
M. H.
Location is convenient to Victoria station. Service was impeccable. Food was divine- worth the Michelin star. The staff were very attentive.
P. R.
Is not elevator there, so keep that in mind if you are carrying few big luggage. Nice rooms with a vintage look. The location is far away of the city attractions. For sure is not my first option.
S. W.
What can I say! Posh! Screams quality and attention to detail. Looks like nothing would be touch trouble. Utter luxury
F. G.
Very well organised, felt safe at all times

The famed afternoon tea is wonderful: Beautiful hidden garden, perfect service, exquisite but not fussy food, surprisingly reasonable prices . . .
E. P.
Thoroughly enjoyed fantastic lunch to celebrate a special day.
C. F.
Dinner was excellent. Service was perfect. The bar is absolutely gorgeous. Get the Wellington.
F. H.
One of the top ten hotels in London. Same family owners for 100 years. Not cheap, but, as one would expect, first class staff and food.
T. G.
Meticulous staff, beautiful rooms, and excellent service.

Our wonderful guest loved our rooms and they loved the design of our wonderful rooms and they come back at our wonderful hotel for a wonderful night. Our guest loved the service and they loved the way we do the things in our wonderful job.

Amazing teas. Just the most beautiful environment. A special memory to share. And the scones are amazing. Make sure to ask for the lemon curd
g. j.
Beautiful traditional hotel in the heart of belgravia. Magnificent GT
J. H.
Very sophisticated and traditional hotel. Had lunch here and probably experienced the best service I've ever seen in any restaurant in London. Also very much enjoyed a drink at the bar, and a game of croquet out on the lawn on another visit. It's expensive but everything is done exceptionally well.
s. m.
Had a wonderful 5 days stay here and we had afternoon tea which took us to another level! We forgot sheep Barbara which they mailed to us in Toronto :)
G. O.
Lovely venue with drinks in the garden but service was hampered by a wedding party so we became an afterthought.
F. M.
Elegant and traditional hotel a few minutes from Victoria Station, but in a quiet side street. A charming place for breakfast or coffee
S. P.
Absolutely wonderful three day stay for our wedding anniversary
A. F.
Victoria has lots of places to discover if which the Goring hotel is quintessential. Tucked away in a quite side street, it is sooooo British and distinguished. Worth going for afternoon tea.
J. M.
My wife and just completed a 4-night stay. We were absolutely delighted and we both agreed on where we will be staying on our next visit to London. You might have heard the term, “to serve is not an obligation. It is an honor and privilege.” We were very fortunate to see this belief displayed in action on every level by the staff at the Goring. Thank You. It was an honor to stay with you!
G. N.
Class. Great service and location. Definitely 5 stars
A. B.
Amazing venue for events, or just a drink if you can find a table.
M. S.
My friends and I stayed at the Goring for 5 days while in London. The service from the staff is really top notch and some have worked there for over 50 years. The hotel is quite lovely inside and the rooms are kept in pristine condition with beautifully remodeled bathrooms. The concierge booked a wonderful private tour of Hampton Court Palace for me and happily accommodated every other request that we made. The room service and food were delicious as well. We absolutely loved the lady who served us breakfast every morning. We can tell she absolutely loves her job and truly wants to please us. I am sorry to be checking out tomorrow!
D. S.
Excellent pre theatre meal in elegant surroundings
D. L.
A lovely experience for my wifes birthday. We both loved it.
R. S.
Fantastic experience. How luxury and five star attention should be.
M. D.
Outstanding afternoon tea with efficient and unobtrusive service
S. C.
Even though I walked in like a drowned rat (having been caught in torrential rain) I was ushered in and made to feel comfortable immediately. Service was attentive yet unobtrusive for afternoon tea. A lovely extravagance. The only tiny negative were the cheese sandwiches which were a little dry but everything else was beautiful. At no point did we feel rushed. I would happily go again.
R. R.
Went for afternoon tea and while the setting was fabulous, the tea was at best average. Been before in 2014 and the afternoon tea was good, the sandwiches I had now in 2018 I could have made at home. I probably wouldn't go back again for afternoon tea, there are equally as good settings for the same price but with better food in London.
R. D.
The service was stellar as was the food. Try the mousse dessert, to die for!
s.
Was there briefly to get an escort ride to masterpiece art fair. The service was great and the staff were extremely friendly. The wonderful weather was a reflection of the hotels service.
R. H.
I spent a delightful afternoon at the Goring having afternoon tea in their lounge. The service was the absolute best I had in London. Looking forward to returning as a hotel guest as well. The Goring seems to have unparalleled class and elegance.
J.
The family hotel atmosphere and a truly English experience
I appreciate the quaintness of the hotel and learning all of its nooks and crannies
We worked with The Goring over an 8 month period planning our wedding events and they are the utmost professional
The Beef Wellington is amazing. The mushroom risotto and fish are top notch. Probably there is a lot of other good items but I have yet to have the opportunity to try them
There aren't many restaurants in the world that can get BOTH the fish and beef right
We decided that ultimately we would treat those closest to us with the people we enjoyed working with most
It's a third generation family business and in these times I think it's important to remember to keep supporting small businesses as they are the foundation of our countries' businesses and economies
I look forward to returning when they resume operations and trying out their Siren restaurant
C. O.
Stepping back in time. Traditional service without being pompous they have got it just right. Beautiful gardens and architecture. I’ve been here for a business meeting on the terrace it’s a special place to come- albeit the prices are reflective of this. Afternoon tea is a great way to entertain visitors from overseas, or your grandparents they will love it.
C. F.
Very English luxury hotel. An oasis you would never know Victoria station was just over the road. Lovely garden, great decor.
L. M.
Such a beautiful hotel
L. W.
Great afternoon tea experience - don’t miss the croquet in the garden!
A. P.
Very lovely hotel. It feels like you're stepping 100 years back in time. The doormen were super sweet, the room was nice, and every staff member seemed to know our names already. We got an upgrade for a ready room from Shannon at check in, and the guest service manager Samantha checked in with us almost right after arrival. Everyone was so helpful, breakfast every day was tasty, and housekeeping hiding Barbara the sheep in different places in our room every day was adorable. We felt fancy and important and it was the perfect place to stay for our honeymoon.
R. C.
One of the best kept secrets in London. Much better than more well-known and much more expensive international hotels.
P.
Beautifully classic! Loved the afternoon tea and the service was amazing!
A. C.
Amazing people.you can feel yourself home from the first second!loved each minute here!
D. H.
Lovely food, atmosphere, service, and drinks.

My boyfriend bought me here for my birthday and it was the most special night of my life. The food was unlike anything else I've ever experienced and service was impeccable. He also mentioned to them it was my birthday and could they do anything speicial so they bought out cake free of charge as a gift!!! Staff were also so patient as we sat, opened gifts, talked and took photos.
j. g.
One of my guilty pleasures is a Manhatten in the bar here. Always wonderful.
T. N.
Classic and classy hotel in central London. Faultless service and food in their Michelin star dining room.
C. S.
Went for breakfast. Food is fine, stuffy atmosphere.
D. G.
Excellent lounge for tea/coffee (<£5 each for a pot with bar snacks)
Restaurant excellently lit, great acoustics. Excellent food,
M. P.
Had the afternoon tea. Service was attentive as usual although the pattiseries weren't as good as they usually were, lovely presentation, just lacking a bit of flavour
S. M.
All were just like magic. Great staffs, restaurants,a room, a garden ..I wanted to stay longer if possible.

Excellent service and high tea place.

Despite quite a high turn over of junior staff standards remain exceptionall, friendly and inviting a Jewel In The Crown of London
E. M.
Lovely hotel with an intimate and comfortable bar.

I have enjoyed an afternoon tea at The Goring and it is one of the better places for afternoon tea. Delicious food served by courteous, smiley waiters in sumptuous surroundings. What more could a gal ask for? :)

Really great and unique Hotel next to Buckingham Palace. First class personal service. Airy and light Dining Room. Well appointed rooms with air conditioning.
P. R.
A friend and I had Afternoon Tea at The Goring on a freezing cold Saturday afternoon and I cannot think of a place where I would have rather spent my time.
The ambience is great (though the chandeliers take some getting us to), the staff very professional and extremely friendly. Service was appropriately quick, i.e. we didn't wait too long and didn't feel rushed either, the food fantastic and there was constant stream of fresh supplies.
Everything was spot on, from the very beginning to the very end. Cannot wait to go again!
B. J.
Excellent service, staff were brilliant.
C. C.
Wonderful afternoon tea!

Best Luxury Hotel On The 'Planet'
A. L.
Well, the restaurant /dining room here is quite highly rated. But the main attraction for me is the nice dining room. The food, while good, is not memorable.
Went twice in the past two months. Last time I was there, I ordered grilled dover sole. The quality of the fish, while adequate, was not as tasty as I have come to expecy of a dover sole. It was served with a weird yellow sauce which I can't recall but do remember it overpowered the fish. So I requested some beurre Noisette, which after a lot of fuss, was declined.
P. B.
Always a lovely welcome. Just a drink this time. Great!
J. D.
Great service in beautiful surrounding
M. F.
Always a great experience, sad they don't ban mobiles or enforce a dress code though
J. S. P.
The Goring Hotel was a great guest who kept the room clean with care for all of the appliances and amenities. We were able to communicate easily. He is a very considerate guest. Thank you The Goring Hotel, see you again!
D. N.
Gem of a hotel in Victoria. Breakfast, high tea and dinner are always good. Service sometimes hit and miss.
B. K.
Went to a downstairs event at the Goring, very professional staff and clean facilities. No vegan food options but that may have been down to the event organiser. Would go back.
O. A.
Excellent staff and an amazing hotel.
D. O.
Beautiful hotel in centre of London, with excellent service.
M. W.
I was fortunate enough to be a guest for the Goring's afternoon tea recently and it lived up to its reputation. It's no wonder they have the Royal Warrant.
W. R.
Some friends of mine and I went to celebrate my birthday last weekend at The Goring, where we had afternoon tea. The whole experience was exceptional as you would expect from what is widely considered to be one of the top places in London for this type of cuisine.
The sandwiches, scones, cakes, and tea were all delicious; in particular, the scones, the clotted cream, and the macaroons were all outstanding.
The customer service was second to none. On top of the exceptional manners of the members of staff, at the end of the meal they stated that they would give us a refund for the last minute cancellation of one of our friends (they prepaid) in goods, and so we chose a bottle of Chardonnay. They didn't have to do this because it was our fault that we didn't give adequate notice for that person not being there, and we greatly appreciated the gesture.
Thanks for a wonderful day, we will surely be visiting again at some point!
R. w.
Great food great service
J. B.
Spent 4 nights and The Goring was fantastic. Had a room with the patio balcony and we loved it. The service was impeccable and the location was perfect...walking distance to Buckingham Palace and the theater.
Special shout out to James and Mo. Their service made us feel at home. Two wonderful gentlemen.
If you want comfort, great service and the feel of old British charm and class you have to choose the Goring.
H. M.
Great hotel and a lovely team
G. C.
Great afternoon tea, and wonderful staff
P. G.
Excellent. Food and staff.
I. A.
Awesome terrace for a continental breakfast overlooking the lawn, feels like time travel to colonial times.
B. B.
Posh conservative. Great services. No laptop allowed in the lounge bar.
I. K. S.
Wonderful cocktails and great bar staff
A. C.
One of the very last, great, family-owned hotels. Although slightly old-fashioned & eclectic - it oozes charm and vibrant atmosphere lacking in many other supposedly top-tier hotels. Others may be more expensively kitted out, but The Goring generally steers away from the gauche & gaudy tackiness that others think may be opulent.
The food has made a major leap upwards in quality in the past year or so. Plus it is still the best hotel for social and varied friendly conversation with other guests.
The service is attentive and enthusiastic. However the level of training in this area could still be significantly improved. Luckily charm and likeability of the staff allows them to get away with almost any clumsiness.
Recommended.
E. P.
Excellent food and service.

Amazing Customer Service! Fabulous 😍
T. L.
As Oscar Wilde said, "I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.” The Goring Hotel is just that, simply the best. The staff anticipates my needs and offers superior service. If I don't have what I need for a delightful stay, all I have to do is ask. The facility is fine and the bed comfortable. The location is excellent too. The hotel is a few steps away from the Victoria tube stop. It is close to the major tourist stops, yet off the beaten path enough to avoid the crowds. When my travels bring me back to London, I will definitely stay at The Goring Hotel.
S. P.
Fantastic afternoon tea.
果.
Dear Lida L, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on The Goring. I am delighted to that you had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and it gives me great pleasure to read your kind words on our central location, well appointed rooms, and perfect service. We would be happy to organise your request for a mini fridge...
C. R.
Afternoon tea was absolutely delightful. Served in the lounge on a very relaxed Friday afternoon. The menu explained and the napkins broken an amuse bouche presented and explained - heavenly. The staff are wonderful. Very attentive but most definitely not intrusive. The tower of amazing afternoon tea treats again fully guided through by the lounge staff. A glass of fab Bollinger a must - why not! Thank you all from the gentlemen on the door through to the lounge and reception staff. We will most definitely be back.
P. B.
The best of British in formal dining, with great panache and style without being unduly stuffy.
B. S.
Very old hotel and good location

4.5 stars for the dining room here. Didn't stay at the hotel

J. M.
Great hotel! Lots of character!
R. D. F. Q.
Fantastic bar, you should try their Old Fashion!
R. R.
I never stayed there. But the doorman was nice enough to help a lost American girl find where she needed to go while it was pouring out.
J. L.
Fabulous restaurant for our anniversary
D. D.
This hotel has the Royal seal of approval and is located close to Buckingham Palace. If it's good enough for Kate Middleton, it's good enough for me.
Its a family owned hotel over four generations so the building is old but very immaculately kept. There a lift for all floors to guest rooms and the rooms total 106 I believe.
The restaurant is Michelin starred very recently but we only ate breakfast there and it was great. You get the normal choice of continental or you can go for an English style which includes, Greek Yogurt, kippers, Lincolnshire sausages or ham and Burford Brown eggs. Check the website for the menu ahead of time as it will help. I'm sure it's a great place for a cream tea.
The rooms are comfortable if not too big. Heated floor in the bathroom, with all the regular amenities, with a bath/power shower combo. The room also has a TV and Roberts DAB radio, an easy to use AC unit, excellent lighting with four options, a desk with a keyboard and mouse for working and a decent sized wardrobe with a safe and umbrella for the classic English weather.
I can't fault the hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The dining rooms are classy, the bar is extensively stocked with a nice fire place. I couldn't see evidence of wheelchair access but I could be wrong. Whilst the hotel wouldn't be my first choice it a lovely English hotel who are proud of their location and history. Tourists will clamour for it so I'm sure it's never empty. I would go again.
Stupid me forgot to take any pictures!
M. W.
Great welcome, nice room, fantastic food..
F. A.
Stunning quintessentially British hotel in the heart of London
C. P.
Expensive and double the RRP but you pay for service and peace
I. J.
I run a series of industry dinners and we use the Goring's private dining as one of our venues. The room and service are impeccable and the menu is interesting and very good quality.
Service in the bar is class-leading with a mix of attentiveness and expertise that is a real pleasure.
This is a quietly luxurious oasis of understated service.
J. E.
We spent two wonderful nights at what I consider to be the lovliest hotel in the world. Tea at the Goring far surpassed the pretention show at Fornam and Mason. The staff were incomparable and the rooms surpassed our expectations in both comfort and decor. What a beautiful little jewel of a hotel in a wonderful city!
R. t.
Very beautiful and the staff are very welcome
D. M.
Great atmosphere. Quintessentially Britsh
H. B.
We were traveling to London to spend a week touring. I spent weeks looking for the best fit for us and when I found The Goring, I knew we were done looking. However, I had no idea just how perfect this amazing hotel was going to be for my husband and myself. Before our arrival we were in email contact and the staff was doing their best to make sure we were comfortable with our airport pickup and initial arrival. From the moment we were greeted at the front door to our final departure we could not have been more treated like the royalty that lives around the corner! Our thanks to everyone who took their time to make us feel so special; especially a shout out to Jack and Samantha. We miss you all and cannot wait to return and yes, we will be back!!
D. H.
Adult channel is very good, sausages at breakfast could be better 3 stars out of 5
M. M.
My favourite champagne location. Lunch was fab!
D. B.
Nice enough place but expensive for what it is.
J. P.
Poor service but great setting
N. S.
The Goring has a lovely, shady back garden which makes it ideal for families. The high tea is overpriced for the quality, but the location and ambiance make stopping in here for an afternoon's respite quite delightful. Skip the $70USD Afternoon Tea service and just get a pot of tea and a couple of sandwiches.
K. G.
A lovely London spot for afternoon tea. I visited in the run up to Christmas, so our pastries were all Christmassy themed, including a meringue snowman. The service is impeccable, (as is to be expected) and whilst it is expensive, it's still acceptable for a special treat. Keep an eye out for the extra bonus courses!
V. C.
I have now been to both dining rooms The Goring restaurant and The Siren. I can now say the dining room is the superior of the two. The set menu and vegerterian menu, from The Goring with great choices and a chooseyour own Cheese cart lovely. The atmosphere the seating and the staff couldn't ask for a better service.
Whilst the The Siren felt to be very pretentious the food was oily with nearly all the dishes covered in some sort of sauce. The seats were uncomfortable with no back support when sitting on the benches. The only positive I would have to say would be the waiting staff in the resturant.
M. K.
Great service, cocktails were amazing.
C. L.
Food excellent.Service very attentive
C. G.
Had afternoon tea here on Saturday 16 December 2018 with some friends. Atmosphere was discreet, cosy and with character. Attentive service although when the food arrived, our waiter struggled to explain in English what all the pieces were on the plates (bit of a surprise). Tea was refreshing but the sandwiches and patisseries were just ... nice. Scones were delicious. Everything was lovely but would just have expected more flavoursome food at a place of this quality (hence not 5 stars). Would definitely recommend overall for the Christmassy atmosphere and service.
J. L.
the set lunch menu at a Michelin star restaurant is well worth the price
S. A.
Good fine dining, good service.
K. R.
It's the Queen favourite hotel
C. P.
The Goring is Magical! The location- perfect right near Buckingham Palace. The food - divine. The breakfasts are very good & the bar food was delicious & served 24 hrs! The front desk- Amazing. Everyone of the front staff knew our name & eventually our room number. They went above and beyond to help us & make sure our stay was perfect. And it was. The Concierge was so friendly, helpful & knowledgeable (especially Patrick). The wait staff was very efficient & accommodated our requests. The Doorman - I am in love with Peter (he's been there 50 years) and he is now my Boyfriend. The Room- OMG! We had the "Most Splendid Garden" room that faced the second largest private garden in London other than Buckingham Palace & had our breakfasts on the balcony. If you can afford it- do it. It's magical & you are treated like royalty. Cocktails daily were put in our room, housekeeping was great. We will definitely return to London and stay at the Goring & in the same room again ! BRILLANT!
C. G.
Best bed I've ever sleep in 😊😊
J. S.
Waz well posh. Lyk me
L. M.
Went for The Traditional Goring Tea here in October, and I found the experience magical from Entrance to Exit. It was heavily raining that day, and our coats were soaked upon arrival. Instead of the glare of judgement I was fearing, I was instead greeted with warmth and a polite ushering into the bathroom.
When we entered the Terrace, we immediately felt at home. Loungey laid back chairs amongst decadent surroundings, topped off with a warming yellow across our plate-ware.
The food was delightful - delectable finger sandwiches, with fluffy scones that consumed the jams far too easily. Luckily, the staff not only delivered cheering smiles and quick service, but they also uttered the magic words: "Just ask if you need any more of anything".
Sidenote: I am not afraid to say I eat a lot. Usually living my life to the fullest involves ensuring my stomach is to the fullest as well, and these words coupled with the comfort of the chairs, the warming hospitality and of course the addictive food led to an overall relaxing, guilt-free escapist dream from the shackles of the real world.
I enjoyed myself here to no end, and I'd recommend that everyone else do the same!
G. C.
Super quality hidden away.

Best in London. Service and warmth is second to none...
A. O.
Great food and service
P. B.
Without doubt the best hotel in London
M. H.
Great food and staff.
J. N.
Lovely traditional hotel
E. W.
Overall, this has to be the best hotel experience I have ever had. Years ago I stayed at the Grand Del Mar in Southern California, and I would say the 2 are pretty close. The Goring adds that extra touch of impeccable service, and things like English Tea, which put it over the top. The attention to detail, the fulfillment of even wacky requests, and the ability of the staff to predict ahead of time what you will want is unparalleled. My wife and I will stay there again without question if we ever go back to London. My sister, a very experienced traveler, stayed at The Goring last week, and she absolutely loved it as well.
P. S. H.
Traditional afternoon tea very good

If it’s good enough for K-Middy, it’s good enough for me, I suppose.

"Delightful" is the only word to describe afternoon tea at The Goring. Friendly and accommodating staff serving a delectable selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and sweets along with an incredible selection of traditionally brewed teas served from silver tea pots.
It would be difficult to a imagine a lovelier, more relaxing afternoon. Highly recommended.
