Great location, friendly staff, free breakfast, nice location with plenty of shops around for food, plus close to Paddington station. Rooms were clean, really comfortable beds. Only a 4 star because the bathrooms are really weird and small, almost like an airplane bathroom. In saying that, it was still fine and did the job. Would stay again

Clean and good place to stay! Location was also good because it was near to Paddington tube station and there are many shops around the hotel. Room was not spacious and bathroom was not that ideal. Was not that bad at all but just to let people know who is very sensitive.

This is a reasonably priced hotel in a convenient pretty location just a few minutes from both Paddington Station and Hyde Park. The facilities are clean and tidy, the staff are very helpful and friendly, the beds are comfortable and the in-room facilities are what you would expect. The bathroom pods are a little small, but for a hotel conversion of a Georgian/Victorian townhouse they are a practical solution. Also there are no lifts so people with mobility issues might like to contact them first. My room was on the third floor and the free WiFi didn’t reach that floor so if it’s important to you, ask for a room below 3rd floor. What I found MASSIVELY useful though was the free luggage storage. I checked out on the Wednesday morning but was attending the final day of an event. The hotel allowed me to store my luggage there free of charge until I returned at 6:30pm to collect it. This would be a great reasonably priced hotel to use as a base from which to explore London, with Hyde Park and plenty of good easy places to eat within just a few minutes leisurely walking distance. I’d recommend it for business travellers too if the WiFi were better in my room. (Although this might be fine in the other rooms.)

The Hotel Columbus is nice! That's all and that's good. Expect no fanciness. Just a clean, comfortable, quiet place to sleep with the basic things you need... Plus very friendly staff and reasonable prices :) Only the breakfast could be a bit more... comprehensive... for the non-cereal types of people

Room was great! Breakfast was sooo good and the reception was helpful. A little tiny but it’s jusy a place to sleep so no complaints here. 15min walk to Kensington palace/royal gardens. Very hot showers :)

Small but nice rooms, very good shower for a shower pod. Could do with more sound proofing between the rooms but otherwise okay. Nice and helpful reception staff which have given us plenty of hot chocolate and tea bags 😊

Only one parking spot. One. And you have to pay an extra 15 pounds to use it. We had to park a little bit away and pay I think 30 for it. This hotel wasn't anything special. But the beds were decently comfortable at least.

Hotel is on great place, Sussex gardens looks like very peaceful neighborhood. We came from Stansted to Baker street and from there is about 15 minutes walk to hotel. Metro is really close (5 minut), but also main attractions are in Range (Buckingham palace, Big Ben) by walk. Some restaurants and bars are also really close. Hotel is really simple, bathroom is really small. For sleeping is it enough. Breakfast is also simple, but I think everybody find something to eat. We met 3 staff members and all are very kind.

Great restaurants, metro lines, train, bus, shops, hyde park ... there was everything around us. The room was small with a very small bathroom but wonderful beds, clean towels every day. During the day we were on the road, and in the evening we returned to a tidy room. So we thought it was fine. Breakfast is very simple but we didn't care. We had breakfast every day at the hotel but you can also go to a restaurant nearby. If I ever go to London again, I will definitely go to this hotel again. By the way ... Ik was er met mijn twee dochters. Centraal gelegen hotel. Heerlijke restaurants, metrolijnen, trein, bus, winkeltjes, hyde park...er was van alles om ons heen. De kamer was klein met een piep kleine badkamer maar heerlijke bedden, iedere dag schone handdoeken. Overdag waren we op pad, en 's avonds kwamen we in een nette kamer terug. Dus wij vonden het prima. Ontbijt is heel eenvoudig maar dat maakte ons niet uit. Wij hebben alle dagen in het hotel ontbeten maar je kan ook naar een restaurantje in de buurt. Als ik ooit weer naar Londen ga, dan ga ik zeker weer naar dit hotel. Overigens... Londen met kerst is geweldig! Veel straten en etalages zijn prachtig versierd.

Overall, the family room I took was quite small, but it was acceptable. The mattresses are very good. Some improvements: the carpet on the floor deserves to be changed, the sanitary (shower + WC) are the type "cabin" it is not a real bathroom. The sound insulation is not very efficient either, the sound of footsteps in the room above were strong enough to wake me up at night! Despite all these small negatives, I recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel to accommodate a family. (Original) L'hôtel Columbus est assez bien placé, tout près de la gare de Paddington. Il est assez cosy et d'un bon rapport qualité prix. Le personnel est très accueillant. Globalement, la chambre familiale que j'ai prise était assez petite, mais c'était acceptable. Les matelas sont très bons. Quelques axes d'améliorations : la moquette au sol mériterait d'être changée, la sanitaires (douche + WC) sont du genre "cabine" il ne s'agit pas d'une vraie salle d'eau. L'isolation phonique n'est pas très performante non plus, le bruit des pas dans la chambre du dessus étaient assez fort pour me réveiller la nuit ! Malgré tout ces petits points négatifs, je le recommande à qui cherche une hôtel pour accueillir une famille.
