The staff are super nice, polite and attentive. The hotel is in a beautiful area within walking distance to restaurants, pubs, 3 major London museums and the Tube station. The lobby is beautiful and the entire hotel smells clean and fresh. We stayed in the queen size room which was lovely. It was clean and very comfortable. There is a nicely stocked mini fridge/bar and coffee/tea bar. A full sized hot/cold breakfast is complimentary in the morning. If you don’t feel like going downstairs, they will deliver a lovely tray of your breakfast selections to your room. This little hotel is definitely worth a try. We stayed 2 nights and felt spoiled. The rooms are on the smaller size, but most hotel rooms in London are small.

For my birthday we visited the The Kensington for Afternoon Tea. We booked about one week in advance and for what I was expecting, it was not too busy.
The cakes and sandwiches were so unique and very visually appealing. There was a nice array or fresh items as well as gluten free options too.
As it was not too busy the ambiance was wonderful and the team members were very at tentative.
As it was my birthday they presented me with a small cake which was a very nice gesture. Also a box to take away, which was super pretty.
Look forward to seeing you next year!

The instant I walked through the door I was welcomed with a warm greeting and personally escorted to the dining area for afternoon tea. Although I had booked the wrong experience, they were able to ensure a spot for tea and were so accommodating. The staff were so kind, attentative, and friendly. The food was impeccable and an overall lovely afternoon at the Kensington Hotel. Highly recommend!!

Everything about this hotel is exceptional. Stayed for 3 nights and was sorry to be leaving. I'd recommend looking out for a deal that includes breakfast as they are delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, I have only good words to say.

Booked the afternoon tea for mine and my partners anniversary. Service was amazing, food was wonderful. Staff brought out an extra cake to help us celebrate. Definitely worth booking, we had a wonderful afternoon. Will book again.

We had a fabulous stay at The Kensington Hotel; if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Upon arrival we were greeted by Antonio who arranged an early check-in and showed us around our room and the hotel amenities. We were also delighted to have received a room upgrade to a luxury studio suite and stayed in one of the newly renovated suites with impeccable decor, heated bathroom floors and a walk-in closet. The booking also included a bottle of champagne and breakfast included. Well worth the cost for a five star hotel in London especially when factoring in the Doyle Collection promotions. When we return to London we will certainly be staying at the Kensington again.

This has been my favorite hotel in the world since 2012. Beautifully appointed rooms and an attentive staff make it impossible to beat. The moment you walk through the door is you feel surrounded by elegance and luxury. My family and I can’t get enough of their breakfast spread- delicious and convenient! The most recent time we stayed (fall 2021), Karan ensured that we had our favorite room, and wanted for nothing. So excited to return soon!

Loved the London Landmarks, afternoon tea experience. Great selection of small entrée, sandwiches, scones, teas and cakes. They cater for vegan, halal and food intolerances. Beautiful interior, reasonable pricing and super attentive and friendly staff. Whether you're a local or tourist, this is a fantastic experience. They are also child and pet friendly. I would make yourself a booking, close to the museum area and short walk to Hyde Park.

The staff here are so welcoming and lovely, my friend brought her young daughter and they were so kind to give her a little teddy bear- very child friendly place!!
We had the ‘London Landmarks’ afternoon tea, it was really something special! I love a themed afternoon tea so this was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place! The food was outstanding, and there was great service.

Excellent stay! Thank you Thomas and Yannick and staff you were exceptional. Our rooms were upgraded, dining, breakfast and bar are wonderful! Fabulous hotel

The Kensington hotel is just magical! If your looking to book a much needed break and really want to relax with a five star customer service in my option it would be hard to find a better London hotel. From booking the accommodation to check out the whole team was just outstanding and exceeded our expectations! I would like to thank everyone for making us feel so very welcome and especially for looking after my wife who's on crutches but nothing was to much trouble to make my wife feel comfortable at all times!!
A special thanks Yannick & Thomas for the outstanding customer service it was just amazing from start to finish.
Thank you and we hope to return again soon.
Best wishes
Neil & Sophie

Went for one night to a very nice welcoming from all the staff.

Review of Bar:
Incredible service and quality drinks and nibbles! The lady at the door took lovely photos of us (for us) such a vibe lady! :)
Will be coming back for sure! :)

This is the best hotel for us in London , the staff at this hotel are excellent and very attentive with wonderful customer service. Everyone from the door man. , reception , bar , restaurant staff are all amazing . We only ever use this hotel in London ..... look forward to our next trip there again

The most friendly and accommodating staff I've ever experienced with a lovely and comfortable room to boot. It's in a very nice part of London with excellent restaurants, posh shops, and everything in between.

There's a time limit of 2 hours for Afternoon Tea so must must must and I seriously mean must be on time to enjoy the experience properly otherwise won't be able to digest quickly enough. Still, nice place, there was a good long gap between the tasty hot starter and sandwiches, staff were friendly, understanding and verbally allowed an extra half an hour to our time slot. We also received a helpful notice about our 2 hour Afternoon Tea slot time being finished a while ago when we still had 5 minutes according to our original booking and emailed confirmation. Thankfully, the hotel kindly parcelled the Afternoon Tea desserts. Genuine apologies to all staff members and guests at the hotel for all the inconveniences they experienced for my Afternoon Tea booking, food preparation, table space and time allocation. At the same time, major apologies to everyone who attended the afternoon tea for me. If it helps, I wasn't feeling well after coming home and could feel the tea and sandwiches trying to come up between 00:13 and 02:37 in the morning.
A. Y. S.
Amazing experience, the staff is very attentive, offering their personal recommendations. Glasses always topped up. The afternoon tea is both beautiful and delicious, and the venue was quite and peaceful. Especial thanks to Sebastian and Francesco for a high standard service!

Had the themed afternoon tea and it was lovely. The staff were very helpful, friendly and explain the various flavours and fillings for the cakes and sandwiches. It was all beautiful presented.

A truly regal townhouse in the area of South Kensington lies The Kensington Hotel. We were greeted at the door and led to our table for the London landmark inspired afternoon tea. I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere and the elegant but cozy decor. Sipping on some delicious mojito by the fireplace really set the scene.
The staff were lovely, although it did initially take a while for them to take our tea and drink orders, but it gave us more time to admire the surroundings and spark a conversation.
The flavours of our starters were expertly balanced and the show stopper was definitely the Steak and ale pie (wish I could have had a big plate of that alone).
The sandwiches were quite nice, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The most exemplary dish was definitely the desserts and the fresh out the oven scones. They were beautifully presented on a unique London Eye cake stand and took you on a tour of London's most famous structures such as Big Ben The Shard, The Gherkin and the iconic red telephone boxes. The combination of flavours of the carrot cake and milk chocolate in the Shard dessert was the front runner for me.
I definitely would like to visit The Kensington hotel again for dinner and perhaps an overnight stay.

We tried the restaurant at the hotel. Restaurant atmosphere is excellent, good decor, nice fireplace, etc … only thing would be that it would be nice to have actual chairs and not armchairs/sofas to sit on (although it looks very nice and defintely makes for a refined mood). I liked the music as well. The food was okay but not astonishing. Service is excellent !
A. R.
I stayed at the Kensington Hotel to celebrate my daughters birthday. The hotel was outstanding. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The bedrooms were lovely and very clean. The food was delicious and I cannot wait to stay there again. I really can not fault this hotel.
K. M. L.
Didn't stay there but visited friends in the foyer. Very comfortable, clean. Excellent low keyed service. Great location. Easy parking for guests.

My sister and I had a fabulous weekend here. The friendly, helpful staff and the atmosphere of the hotel made it a real pleasure to stay there. We will be back…….

We have had the London Landmarks Afternoon Tea at The Kensington and it was exceptional. The food was amazing and the staff is extremely friendly. They aim to give you the best experience ever. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous as well. Highly recommended! Best afternoon tea experience in whole London so far.

Afternoon tea with friends was wonderful and delicious. Beautiful and elegant surroundings. Staff couldn't be more helpful from the moment we entered hotel. Sebastian, Clarisse and the rest of the team took such good care of us. Just have to come back!!!

Very nice Bar and amazing cocktails. Great Hotel bar to end the day!

Recently went for afternoon tea and was greeted by Super friendly staff, escorted us to our table and was attentative throughout our visit. Tea was excellent and filling, couldn't finish it all.
Overall a lovely experience and fabulous birthday treat.

This is a nice hotel to stay in, they used to have free apples on the door. I think the ownership is Irish, so good for American tourists. There have been celebrities staying here... DCN

From calling Yannick at front desk , to be greeted by George and Ronnie at the doors, having breakfast served by Petronela and checking out again with Yannick. 5 star service indeed!
I cannot believe how wonderful these people are who made our ‘nights on us stay’ an experience to remember. Nothing was too much to ask!
Thank you very much for accomodating us. It was lovely to have met you all. ❤️❤️❤️

Afternoon Tea at the Kensington Hotel was the best ever! Delicious appetizers to start followed by the traditional finger sandwiches, scones, and landmark design desserts. Staff was so accommodating! The drawing room was gorgeous! Celebrated with champaign too! A very special treat.

Absolutely fantastic stay. The room was beautiful, the staff were so helpful and friendly, and the location is perfect. Thank you!

Visited for afternoon tea, which was wonderful. Staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Surroundings are stunning.

This is one of my all-time favorite hotels ever. We walked into the lobby very jet-lagged from our flight, but the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. I loved the nespresso machines in the rooms, for which they provided plenty of coffee pods. The breakfast atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it was absolutely delicious. I would stay here again. Thank you for a lovely experience.
M. Z.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and the staff was great. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. When you first check in they give you a shot of fruit juice that was really nice and refreshing.
The rooms are a little small but I think that's typical for London but it wasn't an issue. The beds were really comfortable.
We had afternoon tea the first day we stayed there. We got the white tea and one of the dragon teas. Everything was great. There is more than enough food, come hungry.
R. L.
We had high tea, and enjoyed it very much, lovely place and would go again.

Always a beautiful hotel to visit. Gorgeous cocktails and charming staff

Cappuccino from Alba was a piece of art not just a Cappuccino
Nice place 👌

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the lobby and the feel of the hotel. My room was a bit on the small side but was very cozy. The gym had all the latest equipment. Room service was delicious. My only complaint was I could hear the room next door very clearly in the middle of the night - walls were a bit thin. Would stay here again

Our third visit to The Kensington and it did not disappoint. The hotel itself is great, comfortable, smart, luxurious.....a nice place to be, but it's the staff that make it a very special experience. I wish I had taken more notice of names but then there is a danger of leaving someone out. We stayed three nights and I cannot think of a single instance where the level of service and attention was below 5*. Every single member of staff that dealt with us (and that's quite a few) was smiling, efficient, helpful and attentive. We will be back and, in London, would not consider staying anywhere else.
J. R.
The hotel's location is perfect, the decor is classy and timeless and the service is faultless. The only drawback is that the double rooms are tiny - barely enough room for one person and a suitcase, let alone two and the bathroom is similarly small. We stayed for five nights with two kids in one room and two adults in the other. Room service even offered a turn down service every night. Would have been three stars for the room size but the service, location, room quality and bar bumped it to four stars.
R. K.
The hotel is located at the very lovely neighborhood where many tourists stop by and take pictures of the white row houses including the hotels. The metro stations are not far away from the hotel and the bus stops are definitely nearby. Also they got lovely restaurants and cafes as well!
The hotel is very wonderful. I really love the comfortable bed and love the interior of the hotel. The staffs members have been very kind and the have stored my luggage as I had a late departure time at the airport.
Overall I was satisfied with their service and comfort of my stay. I just came to do a hardcore sightseeing in London.
J. L.
A beautiful hotel, very attentive staff who made our stay one to remember. This was the first stop of our European trip for my mom's 75th birthday. We were very pleased with our room and this hotel is in a wonderful location. Easy to get to the tube and bus stops. Very cute area full of restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed our stay!

We were a party of 4 booked for the Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea. All the staff were very welcoming and professional, and it seemed like nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had the best experience possible and we were happy with our visit. The food was excellent, I highly recommend the Jasmine Silver Tip white tea, and overall I thought the service was good value. I can see why this sold out so quickly. We had a wonderful time! :)

This hotel was our first taste of London to kickoff our honeymoon last winter. Service was good and the style was cozy. Only disappointment was the room size but to my understanding that was the standard you would expect in this bastion of a metropolitan European capital. We had breakfast here every morning and it was certainly a delight. All the food was kept fresh and their menu was unique to us. We sure still miss it.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Impeccable rooms, Convenient location. I travelled to London with my 12 year old daughter to attend the Wimbledon Championships and celebrate my daughters birthday. We booked the Kensington on high recommendation from friends and it exceeded our expectations. All of the hotel staff from reception, breakfast, concierge and bellhops were wonderful and went above and beyond. The service was very personalized including a special surprise for my daughter upon check in. George made our stay extra special everyday. Would absolutely return!

We had the most amazing experience in the hotel. We were celebrating my daughter's 6th birthday, which included a Harry Potter surprise visit to Warner. I commented my plans to Eva, who s in charge of the Kids experience in the Hotel, and immediately the entire staff went above and beyond anything expected, as they prepared a million surprises, and gifts, and attentions for her. Every one of them have been amazingly warm and caring with my daughter. From acting as magicians, to private tours in the hotel, gifts, letters, special breakfasts, etc etc, I could not be more impressed by their attention and service. I had stayed many times before in the hotel, and I always love it, but this time, which I had an extra "requirement" they proved to be the best choice. Definitely if you need an extra personalised attention, and super warm service, you cannot go somewhere else.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, It was my mum’s birthday and we really enjoyed every minute of this beautiful spacious place. We asked to be moved and were suggested a slightly bigger room with a terrible non stop Fan noise just …
M. B.
Beautiful hotel in a classy and vibrant neighborhood steps away from the tube. The breakfast is fantastic, great quality food with a nice buffet and expanded menu. Room was a little tight but nicely maintained and water and coffee was complimentary and restocked daily. They also sent up prosecco and chocolate strawberries. Overall a great place.
A. D.
The first thing we noticed was the wonderful scent throughout the hallways and in the rooms. Rooms are nice, clean, modern, and a pleasure to be in. There air conditioning in the rooms with private controls, mini bar, literally everything you need. Very quick laundry turn around and they did a great job on my suit. Staff is very friendly and pleasant. I highly recommend it!

We didn't stay in the hotel, our friend did and liked It, we went for a high tea. We were 4 and order 2 full teas and extra 2 cups of tea and it was plenty. They have a theme, beauty and the beast, instead of scones offer brioche but you can order scones as an extra. The place is fabulous, elegantly decorated, and relaxed. Expect to pay according to the service received.

For a Beauty and the Beast themed afternoon tea. The hotel staff were ever so friendly and helpful and would do anything to help you have a pleasant visit. Everything in the hotel was laid out so well it was very clean and a very nice relaxing place. I had the log fires going as it was cold outside and very raining on Saturday. We did not stay in the room unfortunately so I can't read the runes. But the restaurant where we had our afternoon tea was fantastic. We would happily come again next time hopefully staying in one of their rooms.
B. S.
Nice rooms, friendly staff. But booked family room that showed it would have a tipi in it but didn’t get this. In addition we were emailed in advance to see what the children are into so they could prepare something for them, and there was nothing for them when we arrived or through the stay.
Everything else about the visit very pleasant so put it down to mistakes made in the prep for the room.
N. S.
Lovely setting for afternoon tea. Cakes and savouries were all delicious. The price is what I would expect for London. The only reason a dropped a star was because the lady that served us when we arrived was a bit rude and she didn't really seem like she wanted to be there. This is not to say it will happen all the time, could just be a once off.
L. C.
I came here for my 30th birthday yesterday (15/06/2018).
The staff are all quite friendly. However, the food is very very bland. I have been to various afternoon tea establishments and was slightly disappointed with this one. The staff do not let the tea brew before they pour it in your cup, so your tea is very weak so I told them not to pour it anymore and that I would do it myself.
It is great to take photos. However, the actual sitting area for the afternoon tea has no theme at all, which is very disappointing. They need to add more theme to the afternoon tea sitting area and then it would be a lot better.
They do cater to allergies. It's just a shame that you don't get any scones with your afternoon tea!!!
T. G.
5 stars all around! We had such a wonderful stay here and their management is second to none. Traveling with a 3 year old across Europe, we didn’t feel the warmest of welcomes in many places we visited; but The Kensington went above and beyond to make us and our little man feel welcome. 1 month later, and nightly I’m still reading the Space book he was gifted by the hotel. God Bless you all.
V.
Absolutely stunning and cosy hotel for a drink. Love the fireplaces there!
R. L.
Top notch service and attention to detail with a personal touch. Staff was warm and welcoming, going out of their way to make our visit special. At breakfast, they even remembered our preferences after the first morning. Convenient location near museums and plenty of restaurants. Hope to go back!
M. A.
Excellent. Can't beat the hospitality. The location provided for a great run to Hyde park. On my return from running, the door man had a water waiting for me.
The breakfast was great; I had the best omelette I've ever had in my life. The only complaint would be the size of the rooms, but I think that's only compared to what I'm used to in America. After touring all over Europe afterwards, the room sizes were definitely bigger than everywhere else.
s. m.
Afternoon tea no atmosphere in the restaurant although the settings were great.sevices was second to none. I would say the cakes were trying too hard, just keep it simple and not gimmicky. A bit disappointed for the money but didn't spoil the day
M. C.
I just left a 6 day stay at the Kensington. I am truly impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. The interiors are great. The hotel bar is a must see even if just for drinks. The location is great- close to tube stop. The rooms are tiny but configured well. I highly reccomend it
K. M. W.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful, in a very convenient location (very close to two underground stations and walking distance from the Victoria & Albert Museum as well as the Museum of Natural History), and the staff is very attentive.
Our room was upgraded to a studio suite when we arrived, which was larger than I was expecting and had a very charming view of the street below. The bathroom floors were heated which was a great touch.
We did order room service several times and while the food was always delicious, our order was never perfect when it arrived to our room (missing cutlery, incorrect items, etc).
N. R.
++Very good location and service. - - Very small room: it's written 16 m2, but it looks like 10(. Just a step from the bed and you will meet the wall.
Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Atmosphere and design are gorgeous).
R. G.
Good service, nice staff and wonderful breakfast.
The arrival and exit from the hotel with heavy baggage is a hastle, use a service to get your bags to the room.
Also, room placement is a little odd, so be ready to get youraps out
E. K.
Stayed here for a few days and hotem was clean and well looked after.
A. K.
Wonderful location. Great service. 5 stars if they can get their room service right... Not one order was delivered as ordered. Still recommend the spot. If you're from the US prepare for smaller rooms than you're used to.
A. P.
The area is beautiful as well as close to many upper-class restaurants. Our room was quite spacious and clean, and the street view was quite pretty. The staff was very friendly though a bit eager, however some of the in-house restaurant staff were difficult to understand. Overall, this was a great stay and I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Being a die-hard Disney fanatic, the moment I heard of the Tale As Old As Time tea, I hurried to book our seating. Due to the popularity of this tea, we needed to book a year in advance for our annual London holiday.
My daughter and I were joined by my mother who was visiting from the US.
The attention to detail was superb. We had the pleasure of dining with Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Chip who recommended the grey stuff, which was indeed delicious! The savouries were a delicious beginning, the sandwiches were lovely and plentiful, but the sweets were by far our favorites as they were brilliantly done references to my all time favorite Disney princess tale.
You might wonder what could possibly enhance this experience; two names come to mind THOMAS AND BARBARA! We traveled from the US and Germany for this tea and we were not disappointed. Thomas and Barbara were delightfully friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They truly made this an extraordinary highlight from our trip. My expectations for service may be unrealistic after being served by Thomas and Barbara. They cannot be matched! Everything was perfect and I highly recommend this afternoon tea.
T. C.
My stay at the Kensington was amazing. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the free breakfast was really good. The rooms are good size and up to date. I live in New York City and I felt like this hotel’s neighborhood was similar to West Village for anyone who knows that reference. The hotel was a bit of a walk from some of the main London tourist attractions, so you need to be ok using the tube or taking an Uber, unless you are open for 45-1 hour walks. Lots of good restaurants in the area as well.
V. D.
very nice hotel and staff is welcome
S. “. B.
Love this hotel, its location, the service, decor, style and class. This place is as grand on the inside as it is on the outside and the staff and management clearly go to some lengths to make sure that the standards are constantly maintained. Book early......this place fills quickly....a testament to is popularity. My favourite London hotel.
T. M.
Good location in south kensington. Having said that, the room was very well equipped with clever storage of bathrobes, kettle, hairdryer etc. Our room, whilst small, was well equipped and stocked with high quality toiletries, Nespresso …

So my second weekend at this hotel.
(Couldn’t cancel after first weekend stay as already paid for)
Here for two nights.
Best thing about the hotel is the gym. Fantastic facility.
Just had breakfast. It has taken three attempts to get a coffee when each time tea was brought to the table. However I’d like to say well done to Dan who was doing his best to provide for paying guests.
The bathroom this time is tiny . (Like to add I weigh in at 61kg so it’s not due to my size). I’m not one for spending my time preening but just having a wee is a challenge. Totally ridiculous for the price of a room.
Finally grumble. The tv sound is stuck on one setting. For the hard of hearing!
If you’ve got good money to spend I’m sure there are better places to stay.
The only selling point for this hotel is the location but there are plenty of other hotels in the area.
*First weekend
The staff seemed very friendly.
Our room was quite small and the bathroom very small. The door didn’t open properly because the toilet was in the way and not much room to get yourself organised after a shower.
However the shower was great
Continental breakfast was lovely and a lot of variety.
J. W.
A superb venue for relaxing and having a nice conversation with friends. I have yet to stay at the hotel but I plan to do so in the future. I believe it may well be a fantastic experience. The decor is second to none and I can't praise the designer's highly enough.
T. M.
Loved this place and would definitely stay here again and/or highly recommend it to friends. The location is superb if you want to visit museums and shop. The room was fantastic. We usually stay at the Rembrandt but we found this location more serene and good proximity to restaurants and the tube.
L. K.
We attended The Kensington for the Tale As Old As Time Afternoon Tea. The food and selection of teas was wonderful. The service was very attentive. It has a lovely atmosphere. The only negative comment I have is that the bill had a service charge of 12.5%. I personally believe that this should be considered as part of the price of afternoon tea and then any tip should be down to the choice of the visitor if they wish.
H. A.
Fabulous hotel! We were greeted and helped by friendly staff, a warm towel, and juice! We went all around
Europe for our honeymoon, and this was our favorite stay. Breakfast was fabulous and delicious as well. Thank you!

My wife and I went for a birthday/anniversary date and couldn't have been happier.
The food was expertly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. The fois gras and duck breast were amazing.
We both received a complimentary dessert for our special occasion and we both left with full bellies.
The staff was on point and the drinks were excellent. Highly recommend.
s. r.
From the time we walked in the door, we were treated very very nice. Our room did not have a microwave, but I'm sure others did. The pool was nice and warm, and the hot tub was great. Exercise room was clean and big. I would recommend this place to anybody.
J. H.
Stayed for afternoon tea. Lovely environment and atmosphere. Disappointing though that we had to wait 25 minutes for a drink and 45 minutes before we got food and others seated around us had been served already. Food was lovely, staff polite and courteous but service should have been more prompt especially when we were all seated at the same time.
A. S.
We attended the beauty and the beast themed afternoon tea and it was brilliant! The layout and crocery was in keeping with the film. The staff were so friendly and great at waiting on our table, and the food was delicious. Very worth the visit, but book well in advance, as it is hard to get a table at short notice!
D. M.
A really wonderful place to stay. Staff is very friendly, attentive and efficient. Rooms are excellent! Breakfast is very good also. All around good experience. Nicely located also!
W. A.
The rooms were immaculate. The service was very professional and kind. When we discovered the NFL game was being broadcast in a foreign language, the staff was very concerned about fixing this issue for all affected guests. We also were very happy with the water pressure in the shower.
I. P.
Service was second to none, staff couldn't do enough for you and Thomas was a joy to meet.
T. M.
The hotel had a solid British vibe to it and it seemed that a majority of guests were Brits from outside of London. Where this hotel really sets itself apart is the staff: they are polite and friendly without being too familiar or overly subservient. Perhaps the larger rooms have more storage.
r. k.
Beautiful hotel and the team there provided the best service I have ever had in a hotel. All of the extra service details are what sets it apart. Tiny spaces though-especially in the bathroom
A. K.
A pleasant place, with a well maintained old fashioned theme. Peaceful and located in an exquisite area of London. The bar staff offer the most exclusive and best cocktails ever. Ask for your favourite cocktail, and they will make it better. Invent a cocktail name, and they will probably invent something for you. The staff was professional and the place is clean.
D. G.
Attended the Beauty and the beast afternoon tea. I can't recommend this highly enough as the service was great. The food was lovely and was plentiful. The teas were excellent. The ambience and surroundings were great and was worth every penny.

We hold workshops at the Kensington Hotel each year. They have superb staff and deliver top notch service. Kareem one of the banquet staff members is exceptionally personable. I should add they have a lot of new faces I haven't met before, but are super helpful and friendly. I recommend this hotel for your meeting and room needs. I work with Amie Mongeau regularly and she is magnificent at getting the job done efficiently! Love working with The Kensington!!

Had afternoon Tea based on Beauty and the Beast. Wow! The food was delicious and and the theme was continued right through every aspect of the afternoon tea. The staff were fantastic and couldn't be more helpful if they tried. Would definitely recommend

Brilliant. Excellent lunch menu. Nicest staff

We were at the hotel for the Tale as Old as Time afternoon tea. We were promply seated at our table on which were two Belle dress gingerbread treats nicely wrapped in bags. A nice surprise! Many choices of tea to choose from; Mum went for her usual English breakfast tea while I had the Cloud Tea. They recommend you to drink it without milk and they were not wrong! Very nice indeed. They also offered to change our teas should we want to try another. Akmal was our server and he was very attentive, making sure we were good without hovering over us. We started off with the savouries; venison pie, beed ragu and cheese souffle (as the song goes!) All very nice and bite sized. Then came the sandwiches and sweets along with some of Belle's friends (Mrs Potts held the cream and Chip looked after the 'Grey Stuff' (it's delicious!) while Lumiere and Cogs worth looked on). The sandwiches were your typical afternoon tea sandwiches but they were very nice. The sweet brioche baguettes were a nice change from scones; they came with apricot jam and chocolate! The Grey Stuff was white chocolate mousse, the chocolate clock tart looked just like Cogsworth; the snow ball macaroon was great and you definitely want to have milk with the vanilla and gold jelly (complete with edible rose petal). Akmal took the time to explain how each item related to Beauty and the Beast (even mentioning that as part of their training they had to watch the original Disney animated version of the movie). He did ask if we had seen it, I think not realising that I was actually DisneyBounding as Belle; though the Maitre'd did come over and comment on my outfit. All in all a Magical afternoon. It's obvious why it books so quickly (we booked this a year ago) since there are not many tables, but it was definitely worth the wait.

South kensington is a lovely and quiet precint with tons to do if you enjoy the outdoors. The Kensington is so nice from the ***y common rooms with fire places on the ground floor and the lovely tiny details. The attention to details in the …
L. N.
My boyfriend and I had a sub-par experience here, however, due to this, the hotel gave us a free night's stay. We gave the night to his mother and she loved it at the Kensington! Good customer service and a lovely hotel overall.
p. s.
Now that I’ve stayed at The Kensington, how can I ever book anywhere else in my favorite London? Vacationing from Los Angeles, I whirled through Norway and Nice, France, but ending up in London was the icing on the cake! Our room was lovely and luxurious, staff were above courteous and the afternoon tea with some old time friends; being in Central London was just amazing! We’ll be back!
e. t.
I sat at the restaurant
Very good service and good was ok
W. B.
Fantastic property just off Brompton Road. Spacious and nicely designed lobby and dining area, perfect for a low key dinner or brunch. Rooms can be hit and miss - ask for one overlooking Queensgate.
M. D.
The hotel itself is fine, but the service on check in was poor - our room wasn't ready - we weren't early - we were after the time we were told check in was available from, and no apology ws made at all - we were made to feel in the way - asked to wait in the bar and left sitting. Really disappointed in the service for a hotel with this star rating.
M. M.
I was visit during the "Tales as old as time" Afternoon tea promotion. I was wonderful and greatful, the taste also nice. If you love the Beauty and the beast, and Disney! Then you MUST go there. Please before visit, booking the date and time.
A. S.
Stayed here and had a really good experience. We got there and our room must have been allocated accidentally because there were painters in there, the problem was quickly sorted out and we were upgraded. Nice friendly staff, would recommend.
N. G.
Very plush, not for average individual or person?
E. B.
Brilliant experience. The staff were more than helpful and went above the call of duty for mine and my husbands stay. Excellent food and just a genuinely lovely atmosphere.
k. b.
excellent service..great breakfast
S. B. -. W.
Oh I loved this hotel! From the amazing Wimbledon themed tennis ball displays out front or the Tiffany blue seating area, this hotel is chic and right around the corner from Harrods and Slone street. I will be back.
C. S.
The Hotel which booked me several drinks on my invoice. But in the end they gave me this for free „ but treated me like I drink it“ . Some days later the Hotel phoned me back in Germany and told me that they were sorry about this situation. Okay ! Fine by me but privately I would not book it again . Sorry Kensington
K. S.
Went here for cream tea. It was exactly what we needed. The food was wonderful and the service was great. As usual with an English cream tea we couldn’t finish it all and walked home with a wonderful box of treasures for desert that evening!
A. T.
Second stay at Kensington. The communal areas, bar, restaurant, lounge are spectacular. But that can't be said about the rooms wich are very small, lack creativity in design and outdated furniture. Can't imagine fitting a big suitcase in the room. That being said they still managed to fit everything you'll need in them. The rainfall shower makes up for it though. And you'll have all the extras of a 5☆.
T. M.
Our weekend break in London was made very special by the attentive and caring staff of The Kensington Hotel. I was here for medical reasons and initially put in a smaller yet pleasant room. A cozy, jazzy atmosphere creates a warm feeling, with a perfect balance between formal and ease.
C. B.
Took my girlfriend here for Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea. Very well presented food served in a fantastic atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and forthcoming. Couldn't have asked for better.
T. M.
Location: Just a few minutes walk from South Kensington tube station which connects to anywhere you need to go. We were very quickly shown to an alternative room in the same price range which was far bigger and was a super room. Service is very good in general. Thank you The Kensington.
T. M.
Easy access to the Tube means easy access to all of London. In December visit the Natural History Museum for some fun ice skating and a quick hot chocolate that overlooks the rink and Kensington. Scones were warm and moist and the sandwiches had generous fillings. The wait staff are top notch.
T. M.
My friend I were guests for English afternoon tea at this charmingly English hotel, we arrived about 2pm after a long morning taking pictures at the beautiful hyde park gardens and all the museums near the hotel. The tube station is located just a short walk from the hotel. We will be back for sure.
S. W.
Amazing hotel, so clean. Staff are lovely and friendly. Food is amazing as well. Really enjoyed it here. Will definitely be coming back.
H. H.
Beautiful hotel, nice staff, comfy rooms and good cocktails at the bar. It's also useful to have access to the computer and printer. The location is great too.
C. H. B.
Beautiful property and decor in an idyllic location - with a super lovely team! We booked this for friends and family during our wedding weekend and ended up doubling our stay. Couldn’t have imagined a dreamier experience.
Y. S. H. (.
One of the new favorite place to go and have a stylish afternoon tea. And it is always a good place to have a casual drink at the bar, art decoish interior with modern touches, shouldn't miss it if you are in the area.
C. G.
This is another universe entirely. Between the boutique hotel and the palace. A sumptuous pause, both so very London chic and surreal. Modern and suspended in time… Step in and the dream starts right within the entrance with the cloud-like lights, the murals coming to life. On the side, a corridor leads to a succession of lounges each with its own atmosphere, bathed in light by large, elegant windows. On winter days, you will find roaring chimney fires and regulars wait for dusk with delight settling down with a book, an afternoon tea or a cocktail (the barman can personalise them for you and trust me they are amazing. Ask Alessandro!), watching the flames dance - such a cosy, comforting feeling. A wonderful place to spend a rainy day or meet up with friends.
The rooms are classic but luxurious, the bed so comfortable. A real escape from life.
B. s.
Went here for afternoon tea and could not fault it. There was a lovely trio of hot starters followed by wonderfully presented cakes and sandwiches. Everything tasted devine and the tea was exquisite. Highly recommended!
F. T.
I'have stayed in this hotel for 5 days 4 nights (20-24/7/2013). I also used to work from hotel services background. During the stay i am perfectly satisfied with the service there. Started feeling unhappy with the door lock matters but after the second times i called up again ,Paul was very patient to quickly help me solve this pro during late night, I would like to special thanks to PAUL for being so helpful .Secondly the chinese bellman very good to take the initiative for ours baggage.Thirdly The service from bar and restaurant pretty good too... Hopefully for my next trip the service still will up to there.Keep it up !
T. M.
Perfect location for a stay in London within walking distance to the V&A Museum, Natural History Museum, Kensington Park, and Harods. All the amenities were available plus chocolates the night of our arrival. I could go on but to finish, it truly is an oasis that we are thrilled to have discovered.
P. M.
At the Kensington Hotel you are made welcome from the moment you arrive right thru to departure.
Staff very attentive and courteous, nothing is too much trouble, its as if you are their only guest.
j. b.
Luxury and opulence at every angle inside this hotel,Very friendly & helpful at check-in. Our rooms were on the same floor; we highly recommend and would be back again
T. F.
Extremely helpful staff. Everyone was great with our kids. Amazing location. I have found that I prefer independent hotels and The Kensington did not disappoint.
G. M.
Really great. Only issue us that the floors are creaky and you can hear everything in the Halls from the room. The friendly and passionate staff makes up for this minor issue.
J. D.
Stayed 3 nights. Staff were awesome. Always went above board. Room was small but very cozy and elegant. Will stay here again.
R.
Once a upon a time in Kensington hotel a fairytale came true with a lovely afternoon tea experience trough the Beauty and the beast! - I will say a bit expensive (as everything in London) but it’s worth it
A. L.
Staff extremely helpful, efficient and sweet. Beautiful common areas. The rooms would take advantage of a renovation.
C. H. (.
Seriously - this is an awesome hotel with a great staff and very comfortable location. Short walk to Hyde Park, museums right around the corner, tons of food nearby, Kensington Station down the block - really was happy to have gotten to stay here.
A. M.
Comfortable, good service and relatively well appointed. Food was good but not excellent. Considering the cost of accommodation it was a bit of a let down. The Ampersand Hotel in south Ken is a better bet, even though the service is not as great...
R. C.
Brunch was decent but nothing special. The portions were quite small and, to my taste, the coffee was a bit too weak.
K. A. M.
Nice hotel, good location. Close proximity to Hyde park, Kensington palace, natural history museum/science museum & the V&A museum and the Royal Albert Hall. Plenty of restaurants & shopping facilities nearby.
K. H.
Very nice hotel and extremely nice/friendly staff. The beet/pomegranate juice they give while doing paperwork for the room is amazingly refreshing.
L. H.
Afternoon tea was wonderful.
T. M.
Very beautiful and cute place for afternoon tea. However, the staff was so clumsy, walked into our table so many times and spilled a few cup of water and tea.
J. B.
Expectedly small rooms but very comfortable. The food could've been better, but was still good. Great location!
S. B.
Great location, cozy lobby and friendly staff. Rooms were so so and had not s single drawer or shelf to put anything away (so be prepared to live out of your suitcase)
A. A.
Lovely hotel, clean, staff are friendly,
Concierge need improvement.
Bathroom and shower are lovely.
Breakfast is also amazing.
G. M.
Really lovely for afternoon tea. Great selection, really nice atmosphere and the staff, led by Thomas, were very attentive and professional.
C. W.
Absolutely incredible there's like a 54 inch Samsung tv huge bed if you get an upgraded room you get a kings bed and when you get there people will always open the door for you they take your bags to your room they great you greatly also there's a gym so there's nothing I dought about this hotel it's amazing very recommend p.s I have a million more good words to say about this from Dan my mum's son.
S. V.
Well what can i say . Perfect in every single way . From checking in to checking out . Not a single problem . Clean and tidy . Anybody going for the weekend i would highly recommend this hotel

The staff here are so lovely. The cozy dining area and lovely rooms make it a lovely little boutique hotel in London.
A. S.
Lobby and pictures are more fancy than the rooms, but the rooms are nice! No breakfast included is always a minute for me though.
K. G.
Absolutely gorgeous. The staff are so friendly too.
L. W.
It's OK but not busy enough for me
S. W.
Gorgeous room and well appointed public areas. Extremely friendly staff. Fantastic location just up from south Kensington station.
J. B.
Soft comfortable beds, big continental breakfast menu.
We enjoyed this part. Stress retreating.
J. W.
Lovely rooms, great building, but there is much better value for money with rooms of the same standard around central London.
N. M.
A gem at the heart of South Kensington. Great rooms. Two lounges where to sit with a latte to read the paper or to have a pre-dinner drink in the evening. A
R. C.
I had a decent brunch there, but the portions were quite small and it was nothing very special.
