We stayed two nights at this beautifully themed Alice in Wonderland hotel. The staff were all amazing. Breakfast was delicious and catered for vegetarians. Rooms were decorated lovely, they were clean, the complimentary fridge items was a nice touch even a bottle of London Fullers Ale, plenty of tea and coffee, hot chocolate, water, biscuits. The location is perfect for London sight seeing, just off Blackfriars Bridge, nearest tube is Blackfriars. The bedrooms on the side of the hotel we stayed (above the hotel entrance) was a little bit noisy as it was on a busy crossroads and the emergency vehicles had to cross with their sirens on. This is not the hotels fault, just a busy city!! Would definitely stay again 🙂

Great find. Staff friendly, easy check in
Spacious room with everyting and more that you need to make your stay comfortable including a free bottle of beer and fresh milk in the fridge. Comfy beds and quiet considering on a busy road. Fab breakfast offerings. Highly recommend. Will definately stay again.

Some aspects of the rooms are outdated and worn and need updating but the price in comparison to other nearby hotels is very good. The staff were AMAZING and could not help enough. The breakfast was good and prepared to order which I prefer.

Lovely place a stone's throw away from most of what London has to offer. Fantastic accommodation, fab food and great choice of drinks coupled with the best breakfast make the mad hatter hotel THE place to stay when visiting London. 👍👍😊😊

Lovely hotel/ pub on the south bank next to Blackfriars bridge. Lovely staff and good food in the bar. It's a Fuller's pub/ hotel and their standards are really high in all the hotels we have stayed at in this chain . Highly recommended.
L. M.
Stayed here only for 1 night, while doing some sightseeing.
Brilliant location, easy access for London Eye, London Bridge and much more.
Lovely place to stay, very friendly staff and amazing food. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again ourselves.

A grand hotel bar and restaurant. Went here for dinner on a Friday evening. Had a Honey Pie which was Chicken, Ham, and Fuller's Honey Dew together with seasonal greens, red wine gravy and the obligatory pint of London Pride. The service was friendly. Also there was a happy hour on at the time where the pint of pride was £4.00

Re-opened and just as good as ever. New carpet, new paintwork and a new pie on the menu...lamb pie for sharing. Great old pub with friendly staff....not so busy at the mo...so needs our support!

I usually rate hotels based on 4 things, cleanliness, comfiness of the bed, size and fluffiness of the towels and power of the shower. Top marks on all of these. I didn't get to eat there as the bar and restaurant were closed due to staffing issues, but I would highly recommend it as a reasonably priced place close to a lot of things in the heart of London. I'll definitely be back.

Great place to stay. Breakfast was excellent, staff were great, everywhere was clean and tidy and our bedroom was lovely. We will be back.

Very smart Fuller's pub on Stamford Street with an hotel above. Four cask ales on tap. A few tables outside. Pie and pub classic menu with vegetarian options.

Wow, just loved this place and all the quirks that came with it, rooms were lovely and comfortable and the pub was really nice. Food was good and the breakfast was lovely.

What a great find just off of the Southbank! Friendly staff, great rooms and tasty food. Literally taking the name and running with the Alice in Wonderland theme throughout! Will come again!
M. D.
We popped in this lunchtime and were very pleased with the atmosphere as well as the choice of drinks. What blew us away was the Croque Monsieur, a veritable cheesy delight. Many Thanks!!
D. W.
Great location, breakfast, good size rooms, brilliant choice of breakfast and the staff were very friendly. Definitely we will be taking thr trip down the rabbit hole again xX
A. M.
We didn't stay but the roast was one of best we've ever had. We will go out of our way the next time we're in London to stop by. Lovely little pub.

Beautiful clean bedroom, containing everything you could possibly need, including fresh milk. Friendly staff that can't do enough for you.

Good selection of beers. Pleasant contemporary decor.

Nice pub , nice beer and good service by the bar staff

Lovely traditional hotel. Very oldly worldly feel to the venue which really added to the characteristics of the hotel- even the upside down Christmas tree!! Rooms were lovely and clean and plenty of complimentary refreshments in the room, much more than your average hotel!! Food was amazing, and all front of house staff were very engaging and had fab customer service skills. Would definitely use again and recommend. Thank you for such a pleasant problem free stay!!

Kind of weird how the building stands alone (literally) and at the time of writing lots of construction going on around. Staff were very welcoming and I have to say, all the staff were fantastic, very helpful and really made the difference here.
The room is fairly basic but comfortable, clean and the complimentary mini bar with beers and soft drinks was unexpected!
The pub is cosy with excellent beers. Breakfast was fine, not amazing but plentiful and with a home cooked feel. Location could not be more convenient by Blackfriars Bridge.
They even let me store my luggage there for free after checking out.
Overall, thanks to all at the Mad Hatter for a comfortable few days.
L. R.
Room big enough, clean, staff welcoming.
J. S.
We had a very pleasant couple of hours one Sunday night over Christmas. By coincidence it was the same weekend when we visited last year and we once again had the Sunday Roast. All was perfectly fine as before.
A big thumbs up to the two staff (same guys were on duty as last time too); they make handling the bar, food orders, place setting and suchlike all seem a doddle and it's done with minimal fuss or drama. Well done both !!
I. M.
Enjoyed the evening at my mates birthday. Will st a area aside, provide good finger food and staff friendly. Was shutting at 11pm but if you buy food can stay an extra hour. Great position near Southwark Tube, Waterloo and Blackfriars main line. I did not stay in hotel so I cannot comment on rooms but a good bar / pub atmosphere. Enjoy.
J. K.
Would definitely stay here again! Great location, very walkable. Close to the tube and rail stations. Lovely old building and quaint theme. Complimentary mini bar and teas/coffee were appreciated. Toiletries were of good quality and just what we needed. Staff was friendly, and the bar/restaurant was good. Had a very comfortable stay.
S. M.
I would love to give this place 5 stars because the rooms were cute, they had a free sample mini bar, the pub underneath it was awesome and its location is great.
However, we stayed there during July and they have no AC, so we were miserable. They gave us two fans but the windows won't open more than half a foot at an angle, so you can't get a cross breeze. Even in the middle of the night it was still too hot to get restful sleep.
Do NOT stay here in the summer.
C. H.
This hotel is rather quaint and nice, however, there are some professional issues that people need to be aware of. The rooms were nice and the service was generally supportive, but without warning, repairs were conducted on parts of the building, namely the stairs, in the dead of night. This was especially infuriating, but other than that, the stay was perfectly fine. The rooms were nice, the location was nice, but the staff could use some work.
G. C.
Honestly, I didn't have any expectations regarding the hotel. I missed my flight and was looking for something Central and affordable; however, the hotel is not only in a great location but also it is very nice, clean an unique. The people at the front desk were very helpful and polite. I will definitely be staying there when I go back to London. The mini bar is free. The room smelled very clean, the bed and the covers were very comfy. I don't have but great things to say about the hotel. I was able to walk to the borough market and to the London brigde from my hotel. Great place!
C. H.
Just spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel, the staff are all super friendly& the place is really clean.
We stayed in room 306 & was told everything in the room was complementary, the fridge was well stocked as well as a selection of teas & coffees., Bath & shower was also excellent & loved the bed.
Breakfast & evening meals highly recommended here
Waterloo station is a 10min walk.
Me & my wife will be staying here again 👍
P.
Lovely place to stay. The room was clean and compared to some London hotel rooms we have stayed in, was quite large. The complimentary drinks in the mini bar were a nice touch. The breakfast served in the bar were excellent and at £10 When booked through reception, was good value. We did have an issue regarding our room key but we were more than happy with the response we received from the very helpfull receptionist.
W. M.
It's okay. The bar staff didn't fill my pint to the top of the glass (there was a gap between the head and the rim), the toilet is on the other side of the building, the food is a tad too expensive and the music a bit too loud. On the plus side, the decor is nice.
J. F.
Excellent bar staff. Warm and friendly atmosphere. We were served by Georgia who gave first class customer service. We didn't stay at the hotel, only had a drink and will definitely be returning again soon.
N. F.
Lovely mix of new amenities (Dyson heating & cooling!) and character charm (the floor is wonky so you can't open the door all the way). They have excellent quality body wash and things on hand, as well as a free minibar. Rooms are gorgeous and themed. Don't pay for breakfast though.
H. G.
Lovely little casual hotel just off the south bank and within easy walking distance of the theatre district (20 mins?). Close to transport links as well, for those who prefer not to walk.
Friendly staff, great breakfast and comfy beds. The room was clean and well presented and the complimentary mini bar on the first night was an added bonus.
J. K.
Great location for visiting many of the sites in London. Rooms are a good size and nicely appointed. They provide a minibar full of free drinks on your first night, bwhich is a nice touch. Plus you get coffee, tea, and milk provided through out your stay. There is also a pub downstairs where you can grab a drink or have a meal. We will return next time we visit London.
a. s.
It's not the cleanest and the furniture is a bit dated/mismatched, but what it lacks in chic it makes up for in charm. Staff was very nice and helpful. Seemed safe but they store luggage in the lobby in the open. Not too noisy. Great location, but difficult to get an uber or cab because of location on busy one lane road (no where to pullover). Has a bar/restaurant attached. Would definitely stay again.
L. L.
Great little place. A couple of minutes from the river, but quiet and snug. Good beer, excellent pies (looked small but really filling) served with gravy or traditional liquor (or both, as I had). Lovely little nooks to sit in to enjoy a cosy evening. I'll be back there soon.
R. F.
The staff he as very friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice, if not super fancy, and the pub downstairs was inviting and had good food. I had the fish and chips. The location is good for many things. For example the Globe Theatre is a short walk, Waterloo station is a half mile, and the Temple area is just across the bridge. The river walk along the south side of the Thames is also convenient.
We had a family member using a wheelchair while we were there. Everything was pretty smooth but the ramp out front is a little hard to get up and the halls are a little tight. Housekeeping sometimes leaves supplies on the landing by the lift, too, which complicates movement. That wasn't enough, for us, to take away the give stars, though.
M. G.
The pub has a great decor but I didn't think the layout was good. It looks bigger from outside than it actually is. They have some taster menus where in you can try pies with ales. I am not a huge fan.of ales so I cannot comment on the quality and taste but my novice impression is that it offers a decent choice of ales and alcoholic drinks. The food on its own isn't to my taste. However, it is a good option for an occasional booze and bite.
E. M.
Myself and my sister stayed for one night for a nearby event. The room was lovely with a Dyson fan to more than make up for the lack of AC. The mini bar, hot drinks selection and coffee machine are such a nice touch, with takeaway coffee cups on the tray if you want a coffee for your tube journey! Really good shower, plentiful toiletries and lots of fluffy towels. The rooms really aren't lacking in anything you could need to make the stay a good one. Best nights sleep I've ever had in a hotel, and the night porter and reception staff were lovely. Breakfast was delicious, there's a great varied menu and everything is good quality with real care taken to produce a cracking full English! (Just little things like having the stalk bit cut off the grilled tomato win huge brownie points from me) Tables are set ready with everything you need, fresh butter and a generous selection of preserves and honey in individual jars. Alongside the made to order menu there was a large continental selection and thick slabs of fresh bread for toast. Set us up a treat for a days exploring. Ideal location, a short walk from Southwark tube station and just across the road from a Waitrose which is handy. Will definitely be back.

Recently we stayed in Mad Hatter Hotel. Reception staff very welcoming and friendly. The complimentary mini bar was lovely. The cafetiere and single shot of coffee with take away cups was a very nice touch.
Lovely place to stay, good location too.
A. P.
Nice hotel but not enough staff. We didn't get breakfast due to them being unable to cope with the amount of guests. They ran our of beer during our visit too.
J. T.
Excellent stay overall. The room was comfortable and the staff accommodating and friendly. The very few issues encountered seemed more of an issue with the buildings are then anything else. The only real problem is a lack of Air conditioning, which would have been a significant problem if it had been any warmer. It is also worth mentioning that the location is fantastic. It is only a very short walk to Blackfriars station, The Tate and the Globe Theatre.
C. T.
Loved it's Alice in Wonderland quirkiness and super convenience with the Fullers'pub downstairs where you eat and drink well! Extremely comfy bed, warm quilt, good heaters and a complimentary minibar with good cider amongst others. I will return!
N. T.
Friendly welcome from the two staff on duty when my office quiz night took place. We'd booked a space for about 40 people and everyone said how much they'd enjoyed the evening. There was lots of laughs and banter with the staff at the bar through the evening and they couldn't have been more helpful.
J. B.
All great so far, super location, decor and service...
N. Y.
Nice friendly pub, with great staff
J. S.
Even with construction, this hotel was quite perfect for our two week stay.
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Location is ~20min walk from a lot of attractions, and ~5 min walk from the Southwark and Waterloo underground stations.
It is also located near some great pubs, including it's own.
The pub on the first level is perfect for starting a day or ending one.
It's an older building, so don't expect a sterilized feel of a Holiday Inn.
Should we come back to London, we will most definitely book our room here.
B. B.
Staff was wonderful. Very good value at this small historic hotel. Rooms good sized and housekeeping was good and consistent
I was looking for a British feel hotel and this place delivered everything I had hoped. Will stay again
L.
Fantastic hotel, just a short tube away from all the sights. Very clean and lots of extras that make your stay memorable. Would definitely stay here again. The free mini bar is a definite winner!
S. D.
Went to the pub and had their tasting board - three pies and three beers. It's an experience. And they've set up the bar rather well! Has a cozy Victorian feel.
k. s.
It is lovely, cosy and friendly hotel, which will add great experience to Your London trip. Staff is very friendly, breakfast choice is amazing from hot prepared for your order or cold including in price. Rooms are clean and very cosy, bed sooo comfortable I wish I had it back home. Bar open till 3am for hotel guests. I would not change a single thing in my experience in The mad hatter hotel. Karolina

Large fullers pub with hotel. About 5 real ales, food was really nice, mainly pies but a good choice. The food is on the pricier side but the children were accommodated well too. Nice wooden decor throughout and looked nice and Christmasy for this time of year
D. B.
We had a great stay at this hotel, staff were all friendly and although room was hot the fan and complimentary drinks in mini bar helped to cool us down. Room was clean and well appointed and breakfast is good. Highly recommend!
W. P.
Great location! We walked to the London Eye, London Tower and everywhere in-between. It was a 5 minute walk to the underground which made it very easy to get anywhere. The water was hot but that's better than cold. I recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a location where they can easily get to see the attractions.
L. G.
Very homely and friendly hotel . Staff couldn't do enough for you from the reception staff, bar staff , room attendants and management !
Special thank you to Rachel (bar staff) and Betty aka Pauline (room attendant ) a credit to the fullers good name .
It's in the middle of a very busy newly being built up area which will only get better in time as it's an old build rubbing shoulders with the new London outlook !
Fab place to eat , sleep and be looked after !
Thank you hope to come back on our next wedding anniversary , thanks fir the card x
I. W.
Decent pub with lots of space, friendly staff and clean toilets. But lots of their beers weren’t on for some reason. Also, we got moved from our table half way through the evening for a reservation that wasn’t shown on the table.
P. C.
Hidden gem tucked away in Blackfriars. I am staying in the hotel as well, hotel is very newly renovated, room is super spacious and the bed is extremely comfortable and supoortive. The pub has a varieties of pies, was tempted to try the pie tasting platter but already beered out. Tastes marvelous and the chips were very crispy. Will return for sure. Must try the beer and ale pie.
c. s.
Lovely place to go for a quiet Sunday lunch. Reasonable choice of vegetarian dishes amongst more traditional fare. (They have food all week, but we go on Sunday lunchtimes when it's far less busy)
D. M.
Brilliant hotel at Blackfriars that is easy to get to and very well connected. Just perfect for Borough Market & the Tate. The rooms are great, the complimentary mini bar is much better than the ole' free pint malarkey and the shower is better than the one at home - warm and with great pressure! Best value in London and wonderful service every time!
L. P.
Really lovely warm London pub. My parents were staying so we got to see the hotel rooms which were clean and cosy. Everything you need in the room including an iron board.
In terms of the bar, it is what you would expect from a good Fullers pub and the pies looked amazing!
D. N.
One of my favourites in this area . So good that I had my leaving do here.
Big Fullers pub with several rooms. Island bar - good staff, good food, good beer. Prices not bad for the area. Recommended as a reliable pub from morning to late.
B. J.
The hotel as such is quite worn down, but clean. Staff is available 24/7 and the price is definitely fair. Also, the ground floor pub is open until 3am for hotel guests and offers a genuine British pub atmosphere.
Expect some noise from the streets.
Best part is that it is conveniently situated on the south side of Blackfriars Bridge, with most attractions etc in walking distance.
S. R. (.
Very convenient! Excellent location and plenty of food. Mini bar included!!! 2 mins from the tube station. There is also a teaco express round the corner. Staff are lovely and service is great. This place is under rated. Anyone staying here will agree with me!!!! Had dinner here one night too and cannot fault it. Bar staff are great too!!! Highly recommend this place.
J. C.
Stayed here for two nights. Nice modern clean room, comfy bed we had free drinks in the mini bar. Enjoyed having a steak pie and mash in the pub downstairs.

Room 301 - one night stay Sunday 18th March 2018.
Spoiler Alert - Loved it. My other half booked us here for one night for a birthday weekend away and I was really impressed by the 'above rating' quality of the room.
We were pleasantly greeted on our arrival late morning and were allowed to leave our baggage at reception. We then headed off into the City to take in some sights before returning early evening. It's about a 10 minute walk to Waterloo and a couple of minutes from Southwark tube station.
On entering the room I couldn't believe that it was a 3* hotel. I realise that the rating system takes in many factors but I've stayed in a lot of 4* hotels (Hilton/Ramada etc) who could learn a thing or two from the standard of this accommodation! The view at night from the window was amazing (allowing for the building work across the road) as we had a spectacular view of an illuminated St Paul's in the distance.
The bathroom was very big, suitable for disabled guests, and the shower pressure was good too, although the temperature was a bit intermittent. Complimentary toiletries and soft towels are provided as standard.
There's a big flat screen tv, a Dyson desk fan (wow!) and a nicely stocked fridge which is FREE. Beer, cider, milk, little chocolates, water and fizzy drinks - no charge :-). There's even an old school Gideon bible should you be so inclined.
We ate in the pub in the evening and it was very traditional with good pub food that was well prepared and decently priced. I had the selection of 3 pies and mini beers and it was delicious. A good range of beers and gins were also on offer. Thumbs up.
We also had the optional £10ph breakfast in the morning and that was equally good with a decent range of hot and cold options included in the price.
Negatives - the bed was a little on the hard side (for me) and if it wasn't for the secondary glazing the room would have been freezing, hence the Dyson fan I suppose. Being especially picky the bedside lamps were dusty and a bit cobwebby but I accept that I'm being hypercritical! The outside is a bit uneasy on the eye due to the redevelopment in the area but once inside you wouldn't know it was going on. Whilst the staff are friendly the reception area is a bit tired and, for want of a better word, unwelcoming.
When all's said and done we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend The Mad Hatter for it's location, accommodation, food, staff and price.
Would I go back? Yes, in a heartbeat, especially if we could have Room 301 again please.
N. H.
A great place to stay, rooms are nice and location is good. The food in the pub, especially breakfast, was great value for money. Worth a try if you want some where reasonable to stay in the city.
K. F.
Friendly little hotel at the end of Blackfriars bridge.
It was very comfortable and very clean. No air-conditioning but a very ample supply of excellent quality free-standing fans.
Provided delicious ground coffee and cafetiere along with the usual sachets of tea and coffee - definitely impressed!
B. L.
My husband and I stayed in the hotel one night this past June. We had a late arrival from Gatwick, which the staff had no problems accommodating. The room was large for London...a little worn but clean. The bed was comfortable. The adjoining pub was very nice. The staff of the hotel and pub were friendly and provided fantastic service. The hotel is very convenient to the Blackfriars rail station. I would recommend this hotel to others visiting the area.
J. M.
I'm somewhat of a regular here. Friendly efficient service let down by noisy office workers as the week progresses. That said, This is my place of choice and I always visit when in London. Would love to stay here one day. Food good if rather on the small size but that's the Fuller's way!
V. K.
Boutique small and cozy hotel. Typical British atmosphere and interier, very nice restaurant with a-la carte breakfasts (very good ones!). Amazing localization. Friendly staff, clean rooms with pleasant extras (tea/coffee/hot chocolate), iron in each room is a strong advantage!
G. H.
Visited the pub downstairs. Service is good. The place could do with a make over although maybe it's fine if you like authentic. The pies are good (tried the fish pie) although the sides are so so and they don't come cheap.
J. A.
A special place where you feel the real, authentic, energy of London. The pub is amazing, the room are large, confortable, the team is more than I can expect, respectful, warm welcome, definitely i have a home in London.
J. N.
Staff friendly and the hotel is clean, but our room was looking a little shabby. Building work going on all around the hotel (the view out side of our room was just rubble and diggers). If I knew about the building going on so close I think I would have booked some were else (we stayed 2 nights and were offered one free drink each (glad I wasn't staying a week).

This delightful little hotel was located near so many tourist icons along the Southbank of London. Just a few blocks from Southwark Station as well as Borough Market, we enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Mad Hatter Hotel. As there were three of us, they were happy to put in a third, fairly comfortable, roll away bed in our room. The staff, in general, were helpful and kind.
One thing that did make our stay uncomfortable was the complete lack of ventilation in the room. This hotel doesn't have any form of air conditioning, or even any type of room fan to circulate or cool the air. As we were in London during a hot spell, our room was extremely warm and stuffy. We asked the front desk for a fan of some sort and they provided a small table-top oscillating fan. It was better than nothing, but we were still uncomfortable. By the 3rd night we were desperate and asked the front desk to help us try to open the windows. After much struggle, we were able to open one a few inches, unfortunately there is a bar/restaurant on the first level, under our room, so we had to deal with bright lights and load noise in order to get what amounted to a warm humid breeze.
I think I would be happy to stay at the Mad Hatter Hotel again, because of the location and comfortable beds. However, I will only be doing so when the temperatures are much cooler..... hmm...,but then again I made need to bring an electric blanket.
A. N.
Nice spacious room and freindly staff.
Iron and ironing board in room which was handy. Good tea coffee and drinks provided in room free of charge. Some road noise in ealry hours of morning. Overall pleasant stay and would happily stay here again.

Just popped in out of the cold for a few beverages,
Liked the look of the place, checked out the rooms on line would definitely think about staying next time in London.

Place is brilliant, centre of london local to all the attractions and great pub food and ales ... what more would you want..
I. W.
Decent pub with lots of space, friendly staff and clean toilets. But lots of their beers weren’t on for some reason. Also, we got moved from our table half way through the evening for a reservation that wasn’t shown on the table.

The room was great and the food was very tasty. Only a short walk to Shakespeare's globe, the Tate modern, London eye, big Ben and many London attractions. Plus the staff help in anyway possible if your unsure of anything they will try and help.
L. O.
The pub was fine. The pub is easily accessible, pricey (which is standard for London). Being there for board games tables are small but they managed to serve a large number of us food pretty quickly.
S. “. D.
Nice classic pub, has a great Guinness on tap. Serves traditional pub food like pie and mash or a nice gammon steak, with egg and chips. Just wish the toilets weren't so far from the bar!
P. B.
Top 5 most comfortable beds ive ever layed on in my life! Lovey rooms, and very friendly amd accomadating staff. Tasty breakfast too! Right in the middle of everything a tourist might want to see. If you're heading for the South bank of London, this cozy little place is worth a stay.
G. R.
Large (for the area) Fullers pub with hotel rooms if you find yourself stranded. Usual range of Fullers-sourced beers & ciders, and good range of food. Space for medium-sized events, helpful staff.
J. W.
Still staying at the hotel, but so far it has been great! Very convenient location to access Big Ben, London Eye, and all other attractions. Most importantly, very nice and helpful staff and clean room. Will definitely come back again next time.
T. R.
A very pleasant pub, visited 3 or 4 times recently. Had lunch with my son and friends on sunday, nice meal. A little disappointing that ESB was unavailable along with the steak and ale pie however that won't stop me returning!
A. G.
Had a few board game nights here, and it's great. Southwark Bridge road is increasingly busy, but Mad Hatter's is always much calmer. I would recommend it, but don't want it getting too busy :)
A. T.
Comfortable and clean. Great location between blackfriars and southwark trains for easy travel on the underground. Loved theb reasonably priced full english breakfast and steak pies.
S. G.
Nice pub, and not so overcrowd as others close by. Staff are friendly, but slightly under informed about the beers, thought it kind of strange they had not heard of Camden Hell's, even though they did have the Camden Pale on tap.
P. F.
I have frequented The Mad Hatter on a couple of occasions on this trip and have found the staff to be knowledgeable about the Real Ales, extremely chatty and very helpful. There is a new menu in place since two weeks ago. And the cleanliness is of the highest standard, that includes the toilets. All in all I would recommend this place.
A. O.
Fantastic location and really enjoyed the treats in the room. Very comfortable bed. I was working at the Tate Modern during my stay and this was a great location with a short River walk along bankside.
D. W.
a wonderful staff. comfortable and attractive rooms. great location, more than reasonable pricing on food, drink and lodging. Great water pressure in the clean and sharp bathrooms and lush oversized towels.
D. G.
Went for lunch. Good range choice on the menu. The smoked salmon starter was exceptional. Unfortunately my beer battered haddock was slightly underdone. Comfortable, good atmosphere
s. b.
Beautiful room and comfortable bed. Well located (5min walking from the metro)
The breakfast not the best and it takes too long to have a couple of eggs.
But overall good!
T. M.
Great reasonably priced hotel close to central london attractions. Great in room amenities and extra touches from the brewery including complimentary soft and alcoholic drinks.

Lovely friendly medium sized hotel - great approachable staff who did their utmost when we pointed out a problem with the room the had assigned us. And they also showed initaitive when we asked about booking taxis. Superb central location 5 mins from Tate Modern & The Embankment. Good sized English breakfast - and most importantly not a huge chain hotel!
D. “. M.
Nice and quiet during the week, as good of a selection of drinks as any other Fuller's pub.
Avoid the Burgers, though. Rather substandard compared to the other foods on offer.
H. Y.
Nice interior with a decent variety of seating. Couple of steps up at the entrance and quite heavy doors. Pleasant staff and atmosphere. Usual array of Fullers drinks.
M. S. “. S.
Very nice hotel, bar, and restaurant. The rooms do not have air conditioning, but the fans were adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
J. C.
Wonderful little boutique hotel in a great spot in the city. Check in was extremely delayed but the room was large and clean. We would definitely stay there again when in London.
c. s.
Great food and great place! Bar staff were really slow and kinda grumpy and ignored customers in favour of picking up glasses when i was there which was frustrating but as this was only one visit it might have been a glass shortage and a stressful day i suppose. :)
K. S.
I stayed here for 2 nights and while it was clean and friendly, the decor is partially finished and bathrooms could use an update. That being said, the location is convenient and the pub downstairs is worth a visit!
L. F.
Beautiful and quirky set up. Lots of pictures taken of the cute Alice in Wonderland themes. Friendly atmosphere and very clean. Will happily visit again.
J. E. S. L.
Charming pub with lovely staff. I enjoyed the benedict eggs very much. Their italian rose wine is not too bad either.
P. N.
Great ambiance for a typically British stay, loved the food and the room. Breakfast is at the same time very British and lean. Room interior finely decorated :)
S. C.
Review for pub only - food was edible but nothing special. Beer options - meh. Staff were polite, helpful. It was not packed unlike so many other places.
A. C.
Really nice rooms with a free mini bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will stay again.
B. L.
Nice pub for a drink. Food wise, I was disappointed by the pies which are small. The curry was very disappointingly tiny too. The burger seemed fine though.
A. S.
We stayed overnight to see a show. The room was nice and the breakfast the next day was good. Location wise it was perfect and we had a good walk across Blackfriars Bridge to take in the sights of London.
D.
Fullers pub with a nice selection of real ale. Not to busy for a London pub. If your looking for somewhere to have a drink and some conversation then it is totally ideal.
S. C.
Just popped in out of the cold for a few beverages,
Liked the look of the place, checked out the rooms on line would definitely think about staying next time in London.
D. W.
Friendly and competent staff. We had a cosy room towards the back, so no traffic noise. Clean, complementary mineral water, tea and coffee.
Superb transport links for central London - busses RV1 (Covent Garden - Tower Hill) and 63 (to Farringdon or Kings Cross), Blackfriars Station within walking distance.
Hotel bar reportedly open 24/7 to residents. Didn't hear anyone, though. Probably because we stayed on a Friday night and were tired enough after meeting friends :-)
Good breakfast menu - continental with fresh fruit and full English (included on weekends?). We tried both and were very pleased.
P. S.
Great traditional English pub - Fullers run and has their full selection of beers. Try the pie and beer taster menu for a bit of fun during dinner!
A. F.
The location is great, it's very close to the tube which is convenient. It's such a quaint hotel. The bar service is a bit slow, same with breakfast, but other than that it's great. I would recommend it to everyone!
J. W.
Very well positioned, clean tidy, breakfast was more then adequate and tasty. A place I would stay at again if I get back to London.
M. G.
Lovely hotel. Themed rooms are wonderful. Comfy bed. Food is good. Excellent staff. Highly recommended.
M. K. S.
Calm, clean, comfortable , very "local" hotel, close to everything I need, good breakfast, Mad Hatter bar at 1st floor but no noise.
L. A.
This is a fantastic hotel, reasonably priced and great touches to the room for our stay, and a complimentary bar was a great surprise. Highly recommend
B. M.
Very slow service at the bar. Good beer, nice food, not the best atmosphere. I won't rush back.
J. S.
Only went to the bar and was a typical Fuller's affair. Had a decent selection of drinks and a warm friendly feel! Afraid I wasn't there long enough to tell any more!
A. H.
Went there for breakfast and although they got my order wrong and never came by to refill my coffee (after giving me one third of a cup) the food was very good. Just a little too busy on a Sunday morning to only have two people working.
M. C.
Went there for drinks and was impressed by the decor. There are several cosy intimate spaces, though the bar is quite large. Service was good and the ambience is relaxing.
T. B.
The hotel and staff are very nice and went it off there way to make sure we had a good stay. The rooms are clean and are a decent size.
K. A.
Nice comfortable room, with good facilities including grooming toiletries. Also liked the easy control heating system.
A. F.
Great place, unique hotel with full service for a reasonable price. Adequate for business trip or leisure travellers.
M. G.
Nice beer selection, decent food although somewhat overpriced, and sometimes annoyingly slow service. No outdoor seating but the place looks nice.
V. B.
If one likes it old school (Victorian house with old and unsealed windows) then this is a great place to stay. The service in the pub was not good I have to say.
L. S.
Decent hotel in the London Downtown. Clean and comfy rooms, friendly staff. Great for short term stay. Decent restaurant is part of the hotel.
A. P.
Enjoyed a few beers from the bar in the seats by the footpath. Pleasant staff, clean surroundings. Classic English hotel.
N.
Great location, friendly service, beautiful and well appointed room. Couldn't ask for more in a hotel in London. Would always choose again.
L. A.
Comfy bed. Great room. Lovely staff. Very happy indeed. Oh, and a good bath, too.
T. K.
Stayed for three days. Lovely service. Room was clean. Food downstairs was pretty average. Wprkshire pudding was good though
J. S.
Great little hotel, some good food too.
Bar downstairs. Really enjoyed it here. Plus the bedroom was lovely (101).
P. R.
Fine little pub and hotel on the south side of the river. Food is OK, service acceptable. Doesn't seem to get too rammed which is nice.
C. T.
Every time I have been here I have always been treated not only well but warmly by all of the staff there :) That alone makes me feel very warm to the venue and staff there :) I can only imagine that anyone else would feel the same :)
D. S.
Great pub with lots of activities going on staff are polite have not yet used the hotel parts but I've always been treated with respect by the staff.
J. B.
The perfect London pub. Spacious yet cosy, excellent pies, well kept beer, attentive and efficient staff. Also properly free, fast Wi-Fi.
A. C.
Food is fantastic, staff very friendly. Room is clean. Really enjoyed staying here for a work week.
S. N.
Attending a social event in the bar area - very well presented and spacious, the menu was expensive compared to some local fare, however the drink selection and venue was very unique and enjoyable to stay in for the evening.
P. B.
Nice quiet pub for drinks and food... But quite surly service behind the bar. Didn't call last orders and suddenly closed up without warning.
N. H.
Amazing room was really luxurious alcohol was included in price and bathroom was brilliant! Also best breakfast EVER
A. H.
Lovely big bar area, great range of beers. Food looks very nice but never tried it.
C. H.
Lovely stay. Clean and friendly. And even but a bottle of bubbly in the room for my mum's birthday.
D. H.
Great food, a bit short on stock though. They were out of a few beers and did not have any vinegar for my fish and chips!
N. J.
The rooms were of a good standard, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom a little small, but the food, pub and the staff were excellent.
B. D.
I visited the pub and the atmosphere was great - friendly service - bit expensive but it is in London so OK - we didn't eat but the food I saw others having looked very good - will certainly order food next time.
T.
I had the tasting board and it was awesome! Also the three ales were really good it was a nice experience 😁
S. G.
I haven't stayed in the hotel. However if you are looking for a lovely pie and a pint in a cosy pub environment, then check this place out.
G. N.
Only visited the cosy pub
The pub is a Fullers pub with some extra beers to try. There are plenty of tables but no football on TV if you fancy that.
M. R.
Beautiful comfy bed, complementary fridge in room stuffed with goodies, lovely staff, great location. Highly recommended.
J. C.
I went here as the starting point of a Fire Hazard Games event. It worked well for this, the food afterwards wasn't great though. The chips were a bit chewy rather than Crunchy.
J. L.
Great bar as well as hotel and very helpful and attentive staff. Good position for wandering over the bridge and exploring the city.
E. P.
The batter on the fish I ordered was not cooked all the way through and the waiter was difficult to understand, but the atmosphere was great!
J. P.
Decent price for a hotel near the city centre, typical pub hotel rooms though, could do with just a little bit of and update to room furnishings but in general a good hotel.
P. S.
This place has such personality 😄 cute and comfortable rooms and a very convenient restaurant on the first floor with great food 💕the location has easy access to the metro and the river!
L. T.
This hotel is wonderful and full of charm. If you're looking for a reasonable price to pay for a hotel in London, this is the one.
B. W.
Had a fabulous meal in a very relaxed atmosphere. The pie was delicious. Very attentive staff.
E. M.
We stayed in The Mad Hatter Hotel before and after doing The City Dash game around London. Very nice pub, good selection of beers.
S. S.
Very good
J. M.
Place is brilliant, centre of london local to all the attractions and great pub food and ales ... what more would you want..
B. E. C. F.
Loved this joint. Will likely stay here again in the future. Price was right and quick to transport for the city and airport. Everyone was super pleasant and helpful.
J. B.
We are loving our stay here. 10 min walk to BlackFriars tube station. Location is VERY convenient to almost all the touristy things that we wanted to do!!
S. C.
The bar is a calm oasis in an otherwise busy area. Classy interior and a decent pint too.
P. S.
A convenient venue with a quirky interior that serves decent beers. The food is rather overpriced and of only moderate quality however
J. W. (.
I freaking love this place becauase of its connotations with lewis Carrol and Alice In Wonderland.
Traditional Victorian pub occupying former hat factory, with plush, contemporary guestrooms.
A. C.
Great hotel, close proximity to blackfriars station. Staff friendly. Pub downstairs is nice.
K. S.
Bar very nice, with friendly staff and good quality beer. You can reserve a table, and it normally isn't too busy.
B. R.
Clear and nice place. Original english feeling in the heart of the city. Delicious breakfest, comfy rooms and beds. Friendly staffs. Superb!
n. k.
Very cosy place. Prices are reasonable, good quality environment and food is alright. Would like to come back to give it second opinion.
S. C.
Popped in here on the way back to our hotel and had a meal and drinks, enjoyed our meal and drinks allot, looking to booking here next time we visit London
M. M.
Very good deal ! Hotel located at 5min from the metro station, friendly staff, mini bar complementary the first night... Great !
C. K.
I love this little hotel I have stayed here on and off for 10 years now and it is sweet. The staff are helpful and polite and I have never had any problem with them.
M. Z.
Nice location , nice rooms , nice bar and above all an unusual name. Centrally located and reasonably priced for the quality on offer.
C. T.
Lovely rooms and nice decor and setting throughout including the main bar and dining area.
S. P.
Great location, friendly staff and good reviews led me here and for the price it was fairly good but there was hair and old shower gel bottles in the bath meaning it hadn't been cleaned well and some of the finish could have been improved
P. T.
Amazing venue. Lovely decor, with an Alice in Wonderland theme. Great prices and friendly staff.
J. M.
Quite a lovely pub, with nice atmosphere. The beer selection is good and the food is ok.
G. D.
A nice pub in a nice location ( local to me ) but I felt the food was overpriced (£13 for a small Stargazy pie) and overcooked. Happily go there for a pint but that is it.
J. D.
Good pies, great ambiance. Clean spot, pleasant staff who try their utmost to take care of their patrons. Worth returning to.
s.
Reasonably priced accommodation. Close to many attractions e.g. Borough Markets Covent Garden & public transport
K. P.
Bar staff seemed more interested in chatting to themselves rather than engaging with customers. Good beer though 👌🏼
J. C.
Solid, old style pub with a menu main consisting of pies. Bit pricey, but it's central London so what do you expect.
S. B.
I would have given more stars if it had air conditioning. Everything else about it was four stars for amenities and five for service.
M. L.
Good location but NOISY and NO AIR CONDITIONING in the rooms. (Somehow this was never mentioned in any other reviews we read before booking.)
M. L.
Some quiet booths. Never too long a wait to be served or for food. A good range of pies of above average quality.
S. F. L.
Really nice pub - I haven't been to the hotel but from a pub point of view it's a really nice place.
P. M.
Made some strange noises and not that easy to access from the rest of London, the facilities were good though I’m not sure I’d go back based on location.
R. M.
The restaurant had a great selection of food and drinks, there was a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful
R. S.
Friendly, quick, comfortable place close to the Thames and Modern Tate Gallery, Architectural style maintained well

C. T.
Great establishment, recommended for a drink or food. Location is great also, will be back.
D. M.
Great hotel in a fantastic location. Very generous room size, well equipped.
R. H.
Rooms are very cute, but could use some TLC. There's areas that need some touch up, but it's quite nice still.
E. B.
Cool and different, clean with great service. Not a cookie cutter corporate hotel...just a neat place in a perfect location.
R. Z.
Decent plain (if a bit dinky) pub in an area of London where those are becoming harder to find. Good for a quick pint and a chat.
R. M.
Lovely pies and porter
H. M.
Great staff, quiet but close to Kendall and train service. Very good food served with a smile!
R. B.

D. P.
Big pub not too busy on a Thursday night so worth the walk over the river from the city. Hotel here too but not tried.
