Top notch service from start to finish! Always a friendly welcome and smile as I walk through the front door, delicious breakfast with a stunning view on the 9th floor. The restaurant staff's kind nature and focus for perfected service was always a welcome start to the day. The concierge and front desk team were extremely helpful and very accommodating. And the rooms, perfect for my needs as a business traveler. Clean, roomy, well lit, and with great modern touches.

The hotel is amazing and the best thing about it all is the excellent customer services. The manager called January is an amazing person and knows her job. She is so professional and is the best manager i have ever seen in any hotel we have been to in the world. We travel a lot and have been to many hotels but this lady is outstanding in her customer service skills. She is a good listener and very quick to resolve any issues you might be facing and also make her guest feel very welcomed. The hotel is close to the tube station and has good facilities on site that you will not need to go out of the hotel if you want a good place to relax. The sky bar is amazing and a good place to spend a nice evening with good city views. The spa is very relaxing after a long day out. Thanks January for making our stay a memorable one and see you soon.

Everything was just as described, it was clean and great service when we asked staff to give us extra amenities. They even gave us vegetarian breakfast options when we asked.
The terrace view is amazing at night, and the pods are cosy.
Would love to visit the spa/pool next time.

We had a bit of trouble moving the booking after lockdown but once I finally got hold of the hotel, we managed to re-arrange. I booked this for a spa break for my boyfriends birthday and they made an effort to make it special, putting balloons on the bed and left a card for him which was lovely. The room was nice too, we slept very well. It was disappointing to find that you have to book the spa when we checked in and it was fully booked so were unable to use it- I’d gotten the tube across London in my swimming costume! I spoke to January, who was helpful and made us feel better about it

We stayed for two nights at the the Montcalm Royal London House Hotel to coincide with my partners birthday. We received an upgrade to our room on arrival and we had a lovely room with a beautiful bathroom on the 1st floor. For both days we had excellent breakfasts in the Aviary Restaurant/ Bar which has great views over the City of London. On my partners birthday, a bottle of wine and some macaroons where brought to our room along with a Birthday wish. A big thank you to Mary and all the staff at the Hotel for making our stay and my partners birthday so memorable

I loved everything about this hotel! It was such a pleasant stay.
Check-in was really quick and smooth and the staff at the reception are super friendly. She gave me a lovely room on the 9th floor and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Particularly loved the LED lights as a nice feature to the room. Plus location is highly convenient. Even upon checkout, one of the staff kindly offered us beverages while we waited to hand in our keycards - little things like this really leave a good impression.
Overall, super pleased and will definitely be back! 5/5

Stayed here for my honeymoon. Really good hotel in a good location in Central London. Overall very good experience and room quality is pretty good as well. We used their SPA downstairs and it was good. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is due to house keeping not clearing our room properly the next day but the manager assured this will be looked into and it was a one off incident. overall highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a good hotel in London.

Had an amazing time with a friend for the night. As it was Valentines weekend, the queue to check in was long... but I was greeted with an apology for the delay. I booked a room for two. Got free wi fi and complimentary breakfast. Clean room, roomy shower and nice ambience. Can't complain at all. Friendly staff from entrance and reception .

Having stayed at the hotel previously in 2019, we debated on whether or not to try a new hotel or to return. Considering the location, style of the hotel and our needs for the weekend, we decided to go ahead and book in once more for three nights. Prior to arrival, we booked a dinner timeslot in the Aviary Restaurant and spa timeslots for two of the days we would be there.
After our travels, we were warmly greeted upon arrival in the early hours of Friday morning and the check in procedure was quick which was ideal as we were beginning to get very tired. Our bags were brought up to our room for us and the concierge made sure that everything was in working order before bidding us goodnight. This is such a nice touch from the hotel.
We woke the next morning for breakfast in the Aviary. It is a buffet style breakfast with a wide assortment of breakfast items. Eggs and hash browns could be ordered from the kitchen also and any other requests could also be accommodated. We thought the food was fresh, well stocked and well presented. The hotel had all Covid protective measures in place and we felt safe and comfortable at all times.
We could not recommend this hotel enough and have already recommended it to family and friends. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

A good hotel. Room was spacious, good shower, nice big double bed. Some bits lacked however. We didn't have bath towels when we got there, nothing in the minibar, small amounts of uht milk. It was busy at Breakfast too but what was being brought out looked like a great offering. Staff were great however, approachable and helpful.

I stayed for a surprise birthday celebration and from the very beginning the customer service has been exceptional. We was offered a complimentary refreshment bottle of fine water and personally taken to our room so pleasantly by January who so kindly decorated our very luxurious room with balloons on arrival Simona at the Spa was so kind and helpful too and surprised us with a lovely glass of bubbly. The service at the restaurant was superb our waiter Dennis was absolutely brilliant and really made our evening enjoyable and relaxing. All questions were answered to high standards and was great at helping us make the best choices on the menu . Both managers were very kind at the restaurant and made us feel comfortable and at ease. The food was divine compliments to the Chef we cleaned our plates because it was just delicious. Absolutely fantastic stay. We got 5* service from the moment we arrived. Really lovely room with nice toiletries & slippers & rope, amazing roof top bar that we were able to walk in & have a drink while standing & admiring the views of London, a nice little spa where we enjoyed a jacuzzi before breakfast, & finally a delicious breakfast in the amazing Aviary restaurant. Not the most comfy bed but once we worked out the fancy lighting system we enjoyed being in a hotel room that wasn't dim and cave-like as so many are these days. Great underfloor heating in bathroom and good shower.
(The net curtains could do with a wash though!)
I would have only given 3 stars but the service was so fantastic that I couldn't do that. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone went the extra mile to ensure the guests were looked after.

Enjoyed stay, made special by a) excellent concierge staff and b) marking my wife's birthday with a bottle of wine. Nice touch. Well appointed, quiet and comfortable. Only small downside in that the breakfast was poorly replenished and luke warm in our experience. Dragged overall scoring down. Had an amazing stay for my boyfriends birthday. Staff all around the hotel were exceptional and made our weekend amazing. I had an amazing experience staying at the Montcalm Royal London House.
Everything from the Aviary Rooftop Restaurant to the wonderful spa facilities and of course, the perfect City Centre location, made my trip there unforgettable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the service provided was a true 5 star experience. I have to really thank Ms. January Stevens for going out of her way to make my stay as amazing as it was, she was so lovely.
l definitely recommend staying here when coming to London, great spot!

Chaotic energy. The staff were lovely (Mary at reception and Hamid the concierge; give them raises!) but our first room smelled very strongly of cigarettes, and our second had silverfish roaming about. The spa unfortunately isn’t really open (no steam room, have to book, 30min max) which is a shame as it was the main reason I booked here. Nice rooftop bar.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! After their sister hotel unexpectedly closing for the weekend they moved us to the Montcalm with 0 fuss or hassle. When we arrived the lady who checked us in was amazing, really friendly and very attentive. She found us an available room straight away even though there was a lack of available rooms due to awaiting check outs. The room itself was immaculate, well equipped and very luxurious. The location was also quiet but a short walk to Liverpool Street station & Moorgate which allowed us to get everywhere we needed. Also, has an amazing roof terrace free of charge to drink in and is known anyway as the aviary. I would 100% recommend to anybody looking for a nice quiet hotel close to the city. We will use these again! Thank you!

My sister and i came for massage as a treat from my sons .The hotel was lovely but the spa was not as nice. The changing room was so small and no single changing rooms and the lockers were broken .The pool area needs a good clean and the seating could have been better .Never given a bad review to anyone .Must say the girls that done the massage were really good at there job .

Everyone there was friendly and polite and Mary especially bent over backwards to make sure we had a stay we wouldn’t forget. Nice hotel in Finsbury Square which is on the edge of the City of London. Nice facilities including separate reception area with safety screens and dividers. Was given a free breakfast (usually £19) which consists of a continental style arrangement (not sure that is worth £19). The bedroom was neat and clean with decent sized shower, wardrobe and TV.

The expectations of a 5 star Hotel were great until we turned up, at the most I'd give it a 3.5, the rooms are smaller that any of the pictures. The view from the room was just the street. They tell you they have a spa yet there fully booked for up to 2 months.. you can't even book to eat in the restaurant unless you prefer book breakfast.. there not using the space they have effectively as they have a very beautiful room top terrace but instead of putting the umberllas up in the rain they just close the whole outside which then makes the bar area very rammed and because its open to the public the guest living at the hotel seem to be forgotten about.. it wasn't a bad hotel but it definitely wasn't worth the money we paid for it.. on the upside the bathrooms are beautiful the view from the rooftop is stunning the location isn't too bad..

Overall I was happy with my stay though
particularly the afternoon receptionist staff were not as welcoming as one would hope at a 5* hotel and I believe I have received better service at lesser rated establishments, this was reflected in the service of the aviary restaurant also though service was quick. The room was generally nice but had some faults e.g. the tv did not connect to sky, there was some sort of burn on the floor and several marks on the walls and ceilings, the bathroom facilities are lovely though. The spa facilities were average at best and only the pool was available at half an hour per guest which is a shame but understandable due to the pandemic. The concierge were very helpful though and brilliant location

The hotel is in a good location, not too far from Liverpool Street station. It was booked because of convenience to business appointments I had in London.
The structure is well-mantained, the staff I interacted with was generally nice and helpful.
Room was clean, bed was very soft but comfortable and the bathroom was ample and with a good shower system.
While we had initially booked a room with continental breakfast, we were offered an upgraded breakfast in the rooftop restaurant after an issue with the services we had paid for and not delivered - more on that below.
Whilst not indicated on the website, nor on the booking confirmation or the pre-arrival email, room cleaning is only by request, due to COVID restrictions.
We had booked a Club Room with Club Lounge Access, for a higher price as we were working from remote and we would have taken advantage of the business services, described on the website ([...]The Club Lounge is open daily from 07:00am to 10:00pm.[...]
Services include high-speed Wi-Fi, exclusive TV channels, Business Centre, international magazines, newspapers, wireless printing and Fresh fruit platters.)
When we asked the front desk about location of the lounge, we were told that it was only open for breakfast. We complained, since the website specifically mentioned that the lounge is open and rooms with lounge access are for sale. The manager on duty kindly offered an upgraded breakfast as a small gesture, but it did not solve the issue.
The breakfast on the rooftop restaurant was nice, buffet style, but nothing was cooked to order.

I have to say I was really disappointed with my stay at the montcalm. I stayed previously when it was attacked hotel but since it has been taken over I was told that the rooms have been completely refurbished and booked a junior suite. The room was in fact exactly the same
and the first thing I noticed as I walked in was that the carpet was baggy and not fitted properly. The room itself was lovely but nothing had changed. we use the spa and I was very disappointed to see that the jacuzzi was not working properly half the jets were out of order I did report it it and the lady at the spa seemed completely unaware of the fault and said she would get maintenance on it but of course that ruined my spa adventure. Room service was diabolical we ordered two toasties as that's all there was on the menu late at night and both of them were microwaved and unpalatable. The restaurant downstairs was another pain, service for a drink took at least half an hour each time the tables were sticky with coffee marks and have not been cleaned and it was the same in the restaurant upstairs for breakfast the table was laid but the table was filthy dirty and I had to ask for it to be cleaned. . To be honest I expected more from a hotel that I paid £400 to stay in

After a somewhat rocky start with a last-minute change to our booking at a sister hotel, The Montcalm Royal London pulled out all the stops to make our special celebration perfect.
Warm and welcoming staff, the rooms was exceptionally clean and very covid-secure. We hope to be back soon.

Everything was superb, from the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, everything is spotless and the team are incredibly friendly. An amazing hotel and just the most comfortable beds. I am here for my birthday and was told they would find me a nice room. I am looking out at another building, so I don’t think it was an upgrade. Rooms also promise a Nespresso Machine, there is no mini bar or machine, which is a little disappointing. Staff are wonderful and would come back again for the service and beds.

Customer service was exceptional from when we walked in the door. The receptions staff were friendly and bubbly.
We were given a table at the bar as there were none available at the Aviary and when we expressed we didn't particularly like the items on the menu we were given the choice of using the room service menu instead.
The decor was beautiful
The only downside was that the pool and jacuzzi had way to much chlorine in it so we were not able to stay in the spa for our full 30min session.

So, I was quite disappointed. I booked on Groupon a 2hours spa access + 50min treatment for 2 with a glass of bubble. £125 on Groupon
Suppose to have : sauna, hammam, swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym.
Negatif : The hammam was out of service, The jacuzzi was out of service, we didn't get the glass of bubbles and the swimming pool was crowded and not super clean.
Positif : Gabriel did an amazing job with my back. He is really skilled. He saved the day. The people working there are really nice. The changing room is well equipped.
Would I recommend? For a treatment yes, for the spa no.
Will I did it again? No

Tremendous! and that is for the staff: from Andrea, at reception, who made sure that our stay was brilliant, to rather awfully nice, Daniel, who helped with the luggage.
As an expert for luxury hotels, I had to mention that there is a lack of minute details:
not all of the hungers are wood;
we had the luxury to change our room, yet one had a sewing kit, together with slippers, the upgraded one had none!
Please, make sure to check all rooms, after cleaning! Then again, I am comparing this hotel with The Soho, London, The Saint James and The Savoy!

I had originally booked with another hotel and they had moved me to the sister hotel, The Royal London House. The staff were super helpful and friendly, great service from them! The room was spacious and the tech in the room was astounding, had a comfortable nights sleep and enjoyed the facilities that came with the hotel. Brilliant place to stay! I 100% recommend! The shower was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable and the black out curtains were to die for! I got the deluxe double room, the bed was super spacious and I was even offered an upgrade on arrival!
Shower products were to die for, amazing and my skin and hair felt amazing! Water was a lovely touch as we went out for a night out!
My friends also got a room for their birthday and were greater with macarons in their bedroom and a card wishing them happy birthday!

The massage was lovely and the pool area was nice however the sauna and steam room was closed due to covid which was disappointing that we were not name aware prior to our visit. And the person at reception was a temp person so wasn’t aware of the rules around pregnancy services for my friend and general rules of the spa which is a important since it’s the first person you interact with when you arrive.

Spa was not very clean, no clock in the spa to know how much time we had until our treatment. Sauna and steam room not working. No robes or slippers available to rent. No water available until the very end which was not good at all, we became very dehydrated from the jacuzzi. Lots of chlorine in the pool to the point that’s all you could smell. The Prosecco was basically a shot in a plastic glass. The massage and therapist however was absolutely amazing!!! Thank god for the therapists otherwise that place would be pretty poor! (This was a groupon voucher experience - maybe it was different for the hotel guests).

Me and my cousin went for a masaage (50min) and two hours spa Access with a glass of prosseco.
The therapist named baktosh ( not sure if it's the right name) was amazing, he spotted some muscle problems in my shoulders and gave me valuable advice about stretching and muscle therapy. The jaccuzi was warm and lovely, and the Staff were amazing.
However, we were told not to take our drinks inside the pool eventhough everyone had it, even inside the pool itself. Thus, we had to take it before getting into the pool which reduced of course our two-hours spa time by 25 minutes.

I visited here after purchasing a Groupon deal for two. It was recommended by my parents who visited about a year ago and said they had an amazing time but I don’t feel I had the same experience mainly due to COVID and the new measures they have in place. Half the facilities were closed so we only got to use the jacuzzi (very small) and swimming pool. The 50 min body massage however was great and that’s what the 3 stars are for! It just wasn’t what I was expecting for an almost 5 star rated hotel.

What a fantastic hotel with wonderful staff. We had an issue in the middle of the night with an angry couple next door but the staff at the hotel were amazing and upgraded our room to the top floor at from them. Although unfortunate being woken at 3am and having to move, it wasn't the hotel's fault and they did everything they could to sort the situation. Facilities are great and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. Micheal and January the night and day managers were exceptional in their handling of everything.

Just stayed in the Montcalm royal house hotel for the night on the 7th of July 2021 wow what a fantastic experience I had asked my boyfriend to get engaged to me and told the hotel when we got there and checked in they had upgraded us to the junior suite ( amazing room and there was a bottle of Prosecco in a ice bucket waiting for us and chocolates it was so lovely off them to do that ... the staff are so friendly and helpful the hotel is beautiful with amazing service food and drinks the roof bar is beautiful with such great views .. very think about this hotel is incredible ... things to remember if going they don’t take cash only cards . And if you want to use the spa book before going and roof bar to avoid disappointment... we can’t wait to go back again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed here for two nights. The first night we didn't get much sleep - we were on the second floor facing the street and could hear outside noises. We changed rooms on the second night and slept great .

Upscale hotel with very small rooms for a high price, but then again this is London. Rooftop bar is extremely popular, way too popular for us to the point that we had to escape the noise and crowds (and high prices), but the downstairs pub was nice and quiet with cheaper drinks and bar food.
Room had many automated features but they're a bit clunky and I simply couldn't get over the small size. Definitely the smallest hotel room I've had outside of Japan.
I wanted to give it 4 stars, but for the cost and the prestige, I really expected the room to not be a closet.
They did have a Nespresso, which is great.

What an experience to be here. The room looked quite standard when I entered but wasn't I surprised to find my own espresso machine...how good is that. It did not stop there.. on the table was a android smart phone, with a request to "take me with you", so that I don't get lost in London. Free calls to local and overseas requesting to call home.... could not have been any better. The staff were super cool....helpful in every way. A great experience indeed. Oh forgot all room controls were touch sensitive panels. Takes a while to figure out but a pleasant surprise.

There are glass pods on the roof (we didn't actually go in one of these) and the restaurant bar upstairs was lovely. Staff all very friendly and helpful and it was in a convenient soit. Would really highly recommend this hotel! And they have a gym and pool, the pool isn't very big...but you're on holiday, bit trying to win the Olympics so it's definitely ok!

This was my first visit and stay to the Montcalm Royal House hotel, and found it overall very nice.
The location is close to the business district I needed, and was an easy and safe walk. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the front door attendant, which included helping me with my luggage and guiding me to the front desk. The front desk was efficient with my check-in, which was very welcome after my long flight and hour long ride from the Heathrow. Immediately after check-in, I was assisted with my luggage and guided to my room. Peter was excellent in showing me the room and all the amenities of the room.
The room had everything I could asked for, from the standard iron/board, room safe, and hairdryer, but also a surprise of complimentary fruit, bottled water, coffee/tea and biscuits each day! The room also had the standard furniture for a hotel room, but also had a large wall TV, large shower with rainfall head and massager, and heated bathroom floors. Very nice all around.
Breakfast was included with my room, and is a continental style, with the same offerings each day. Variety of breads, smoke salmon, prosciutto and salami, fruit and beverages. Everything was fresh each day, but lack any variety. There are also two restaurants and a Pub on premise, which Burdock serves an great burger and chips, while the Long Arm Pub is very popular if you are looking for lively place for a drink.
Over the course of my 7-day stay, all the staff was very helpful and very friendly and had no issues with any service that I required. The location is more for the business type visit, rather than tourism, but definitely would stay again for business.
Hints for a visit: Check out the Aviary restaurant on the rooftop, amazing views. Definitely check out the Flight Club Pub around the corner, awesome place for drinks and snacks, with electronic dartboards.

A fantastic hotel! We were given prosecco upon arrival and a free upgrade due to it being our first stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the process was easy. We followed their recommendation and had a drink in the rooftop bar later that night and the view was stunning. The room was spacious and very clean and after arriving back in our hotel late at night we enjoyed room service that finished off our day perfectly. We are still due to stay for another night, but have already decided that we would definitely stay again, 10/10.

A very posh hotel which has a very high standard of interior design. The staff are very welcoming, the corridors are spacious and bright and carpeted which feels lovely as you walk to the room. The lifts arrive quickly and travel fairly fast which is amazing.
The rooms have Bluetooth speakers and entertainment system is epic. Great connectivity and I did not lose connection at all during my stay. Also in the room there is a phone device which you can take out with you during the day and it gives you travel information and ideas of events or attractions which may be of interest to help make your stay unforgettable. It's fantastic and helped us alot.

This Hotel is a great place to stay I would highly recommend booking here. The service is first class everybody is very welcoming. The bedrooms are very modern with touch screen controls for lighting etc. Large T.V with Sky sports, Beds and bathrooms are excellent all ways had a good nights sleep and felt refreshed after using the walk-in shower. Breakfast is on the 10th floor where there is a great selection of food while admiring the panoramic views of the city.

The Montcalm Royal London has fabulously comfortable beds with high tech controls for mood lighting, air conditioning and underfloor bathroom heating. The shower is bliss but there is no bath. If you only want a five star bedroom in London look no further. The black bedside table clock did not function. The bedroom supplies £3 for a Kit-Kat and £7 for nuts. Our room was not ready at 2pm so we had to leave and return later which was a tad disappointing having just returned from The Far East. Confusion at the Reception Desk as they could not find our booking on arrival as some plonker had our surname as AND which when you are Mr AND Mrs... is a bit silly... but we did see the funny side of this. Apart from the helpful Doormen the Ground Floor, with its aging parquet flooring, is somewhat less than five stars consisting of a very long corridor with rooms off each side including a pokey lounge, unexciting breakfast room, dull bar, black concierge desk and on venturing further down the corridor-tunnel you get to a pair of fire doors than open into an average but noisy pub that also serves as a secondary entrance and exit. In my opinion certainly worthy of 4 stars but not 5.

On the day we used the spa facilities, the jacuzzi was out of order due to ph and chlorine levels. Unfortunately this meant we couldn’t enjoy the jacuzzi. The pool itself looks lovely but is small so becomes overcrowded very quickly.
We stayed in a club double room, room was lovely with moodlight settings. Tv had sky also. Bed really comfy, room clean. Robes and slippers provided. Small fresh fruit platter on arrival with a comp bottle of water. No bath but a nice rain fall shower instead.
Staff facilitated a slightly later check out of 1pm free of charge.
Overall, a nice place to stay when in London and want somewhere nice and comfy to come back to after theatre/dinner etc.

The Montcalm Royal Hotel is a 5* hotel in the heart of the city located in Finsbury Square.
The service is faultless with every member of staff doing their bit to make sure you have an incredible experience.
We had a slight issue with our room which was investigated straight away and confirmed. We were then upgraded to a suite.
We had club member access which entitled us to all day snacks and free continental breakfast located in the lounge on the ground floor opposite reception.
Everything was luxurious about this hotel from the basement floor spa to the rooftop restaurant.
Highly recommend if you want to be pampered!

I can not really think of anything I would want to improve during my stay here. The rooms are comfortable, the gadgets in the room are awesome. Including touchscreen room control for AC floor heating and lights, an intergrated bathroom speaker phone, smart TV with full sky subscription and digital to status that changes the do not disturb light outside your room. The breakfast is lovely with things like maple cooked bacon on the 10th floor with a skyline view.

We were "upgraded" by 2 levels but the room was the minimum I'd expect so not sure what we would have got 2 levels below.
The bathroom was a wet room with handles etc for wheelchair users -great, but not sure how a disabled person would get onto the toilet with the basin in the way, the way it was. Also the shower squirted half way across the room onto my clothes which were on the floor because there was nowhere else for them!
Great fun novelty lighting but no main light switch until you got all the way into the room, next to the bed.
Plenty of plug sockets with international pin options and usbs.

My brother in law was a guest overseas and had a medical emergency and was hospitalized. His family could not reach him as his cell phone had no power and nobody at the hospital would help. I called the hotel and spoke to the concierge Daniel Todorov who without hesitation offered to bring his personal charger to the hospital. I am blown away by Daniels incredible gesture. He gives a new meaning to going above and beyond for the customer. I will highly recommend Daniel and this hotel to anyone looking for a 5 start hotel with 5 start people.

Also Mr.Goerge and Krasi at the lounge opp the reception were very polite and all the time serving with a smile.
