Easily accessible by tube and very well located to enjoy Soho, Mayfair and Kensington. Just a tip, walk to the waterfront to get on the clippers/Uber boat for the price of the tube and enjoy London by water.

I don’t have enough words to write how amazing it is. Perfect customer service you feel so welcome from the second you get in the door. I would like to especially thank the guy who was on the door for been so welcoming and polite, the wonderful staff who carried our and served us champagne on arrival to the cleaners who were so polite and friendly.
I will defiantly not be staying anywhere else in London other than here now and couldn’t recommend this place enough. Absolute class

R. C.Great hotel! Rooms were clean and modern. Customer service was great with the exception of one guy late at night coming back to the hotel that was not very helpful. Everyone else was super helpful and helped us with all our questions. To name a few: Yehia and Theodora Train station and buses are within walking distance and good restaurants close by. Definitely recommend.

Stayed here for a business trip to London. In general I was pleased with the stay but for the price there were some things that weren't just quite right.
+ Clean and tasteful furnished room
+ Friendly personnel
- very small and poorly equipped fitness room
- slow and annoying elevator
- breakfast was pretty bad: cold instant eggs, coffee was really bad tasting, very limited choice of vegetables (also dryed out), limited choice of cold cuts, salmon was nearly colourless and dryed, bacon was not crisp but flabby and cold
- it took quite some time for the personnel to add the company name to the receipt. It felt like I was the first person with this request
- pretty hard and uncomfortable pillows

A.I booked at the highest category “a deluxe room” on which my room view was on the sewerage, room size was good and house keeping did a wonderful job cleaning the room everyday BUT... the receptionist was so rude since day one. She even refused to give me a bill while checking out her reply was “you booked through a 3rd party so get the bill from them” fist time in my life do i had to face such an arrogant receptionist, moreover i stayed in room 1009 and i could hear every step and bang from the room above me, so loud that it seems as if he’s walking in my room.
All in all, good bed , bad sound proof and horrible horrible receptionist.

J. W.A great hotel in an equally great location. I booked this hotel for my fiancé as I was taking him to London for his birthday and one of the locations we were visiting was the Natural History Museum. This hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the museum which was great for us. The check in process went smoothly, however I asked if it was possible to move to a different room as the original room we'd been given was next to an Embassy and there was a generator going on outside. The receptionist, Joanna was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for her. The concierge also booked our Traci and even gave us an umbrella once we'd checked out as it was raining. Would definitely book this hotel again.

The room was clean and recently decorated, the bathroom was spotless. The shower was a little on the small side and it’s necessary to stoop to get past the tv. The latter could be easily fixed by a newer thin tv with a surface mount, or by moving it away from the bed. But it’s only a minor inconvenience and I liked the hotel and it’s staff overall. Definitely good value.

C. L.Nice hotel with a good breakfast. On my visit we had three adults in the room and the triple room was perfect. This hotel is in a wonderful location. Walking distance to restaurants, tube, Hyde park, museums, and the palace. The Glouster stop on the tube is a 7 minute walk. There are several bus stops near the hotel. The staff at breakfast was very nice. Front desk staff was very helpful. I had a 4 th floor room with a nice view, but the WiFi is stronger on the lower floors. I would stay here again.
M. H.Well maintained hotel in an historical building. Stayed in a double bed room, room is not big but pretty clean, bed is comfortable and great water pressure for shower. Some rooms are in mezzanine levels only accessible by stairs, so not very convenient if you have big luggages. Very good breakfast with freshly pressed orange juice!
S. H.Lovely hotel that is ideally located for all the museums in South Kensington.
Located in several converted stucco faced townhouses it serves as an ideal base for visiting all the London sights. It’s a relatively easy walk to with South Kensington or Gloucester are tube stations and several buses. There is Waitrose and Sainsbury’s nearby and many good restaurants.
The hotel is stylishly furnished and designed and spotlessly clean, so much so the chrome had been polished off the bathroom sink’s mixer! There is a/c and central heating and an openable window so you should have a comfortable stay. However, the entry door doesn’t provide good sound insulation so you can clearly hear the conversations or creaking floor boards under the floor covering every time someone passes.
The bathroom is well kitted out but very cramped. The deep bath with the shower over made getting in and out difficult and quite easy to knock your head on the towel shelf. They should have deleted the bath and just had a shower making it far more useable. I would want to know the bathroom layout before I would book again, it was that cramped.
The light switches I never mastered, 10 individual switches in 16m2 is just overkill, I think every light could have its own switch!
With the lovely staff and great location it’s a good hotel but does have some shortcomings that you need to consider before booking.

L. T.The hotel is probably pretty good, we just had a bad experience upon check in. Someone had been in the room after it was cleaned. They ate the complementary biscuits, and left a wad of dirty toilet paper in the unflushed toilet. All we got from the hotel was, "sorry". I would have thought they'd offer us a free breakfast or something. Also, our room was quite small, and wasn't stocked with any of the fancy teas I saw in the staff cleaning cart. Only bitter Tetley tea. The location was nice, but I don't plan to return after the toilet paper incident.

Forgive me if I already posted a review of this wonderful hotel back in October 2017, but I couldn’t remember if I did or if that was on Trip Advisor.
Anyway... this past October I returned to London after 30 years (I was last in London in the late 1980s on a school trip). My friend runs tours to London that specialize in a lot of “free time” to explore and we stayed at The Queen’s Gate Hotel.
From the moment we walked in, I knew that this was a special and great hotel. Every single staff member that we encountered from desk staff to bellboys to bartender , The Queen’s Gate Hotel was first class.
The room was modern and very clean. The bathroom was immaculately clean. The bed was super comfortable.
Breakfast buffet in the basement all purpose room was amazing. Not only did they have great “American traditions” like scrambled eggs and bacon strips, but you could also get English breakfast items. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. And the decor was really inviting.
A few nights I decided to stay at the bar in the hotel. I must say that it was a really nice experience. The bartender was always friendly but never pushy, if you catch my meaning. And the food ordered at the bar was always delicious and reasonably priced.
I usually stay at “chain hotels” (Marriott, Hilton and the like), but I must say that my eyes were opened to this great little hotel in Kensington (Queen’s Gate) and when I return to London (which I will definitely do), I will stay at the Queen’s Gate Hotel because the staff go out if their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. And that’s what counts!
R. L.Decent enough hotel. I ended up in a family room that I didn't book with 3 x single beds as I was obviously the last man in and they had nothing else left. So might be worth checking in early if you want to avoid disappointment. I didn't use any of the facilities so cant comment. I would score higher but based on this experience I am reluctant.

K. J. S.The room and location are great. The first day we arrived there was a protest happening at the embassy next door and it was very loud. We had jet lag and wanted to sleep so that was frustrating, but not the hotel's fault.

Would've been helpful if we'd been told we had to go thru a door we couldn't open. C. A.If you fancy Indian food, then walk left after you have exited the hotel. Take your second left after 50 meters, walk straight down till you see the restaurants. Keep an eye to right and there it is - Little India. You won't be disappointed. Yeah OK, the Queens Hotel..it's OK. Can't complain. Rooms are clean, service good but that's what I expected any. But the best part was little India. Keep your eyes, there are plenty of water holes around (Pubs) Just keep an eye for the Mews.

The staff were excellent, the room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. For the price you simply won’t get any nicer in London ! Can’t wait to return. Located opposite the Imperial college university campus but still within walking distance of the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington High Street as well as the museums in South Kensington. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Only downsides were the slightly worn bath tub & sink however the room was massive.

The bathrooms are compact!
There isn’t much space either side of the bed but there is ample space at the foot of the bed where there is a chair, small table, desk etc. There is a wardrobe in the entranceway which is plenty of space for a short stay.
The room had a mini bar with spare space for you to keep your own food, drink or medication in.
The rooms have lovely high ceilings and large windows.
The hotel is close to a few tube stops, natural history museum, Hyde park, Kensington palace, royal Albert hall, Knightsbridge (including Harrods) so a good location for a tourist that is after a non-chain hotel.

Harrods is about a 10-15min walk away if you fancied going a bit further by foot. As for the hotel irself... Very welcoming and professional staff, with an efficient check in process. Nice breakfast, good selection to choose from and in pleasant surroundings.
Only downsides really were that the Queen Sized Room we had was quite small, and had a view which mostly consisted of a brick wall. Not the city view promised in the room description. Additionally the décor could do we a revamp, the floor in our room and the hallway leading up to it was damaged (wood laminate) and creaky. Similarly the wallpaper badly hung (not even bothered to match up the pattern) and torn in places. For the price you pay it's a little disappointing. However, all that being said, it was a pleasant enough one night stay for a theatre trip and we'd probably go again.

F.A great quality hotel a five minute walk from The Royal Albert Hall & Hyde Park. Gloucester Rd tube station is 10 mins walk. The room I stayed in was a reasonable size and to a high standard. We arrived early on a Saturday morning & checked our bags in which allowed us to explore clutter free. We did the same on Sunday so we collected our luggage just before we travelled home by train. The natural history museum is approx 6 minutes away by foot. Breakfast is in the basement dining room & was a well stocked buffet catering for all tastes. This was included in our room price. Good quality, reasonably priced for Kensington & a great location to explore London.
T. P.I highly recommend staying at the Queen's Gate Hotel in South Kensington. In the recent past, we stayed there on a family trip and found the hotel to be a perfect spot in a lovely, safe neighborhood. This past weekend, our college age daughter was stranded, alone in London due to the British Airways IT catastrophe. She immediately thought of the Queens Gate and made her way there hungry and tired. Upon arrival at the Queens Gate Hotel, she experienced kind, helpful hotel staff who guided her to nearby cafes and shops. Her room was exceptionally lovely and quiet. Mr. Shane, the manager, was particularly gracious and hospitable. Great hotel, great experience!

Good service, although the staff that attended me the three times I've been there were foreign and sometimes wouldn't understand the orders, but they made sure to get everything clearly and the food doesn't take long. Their crock monsieur and their eggs royal are a must.

Excellent hotel if you want to be in a stones throw of Kensington and Knightsbridge. And especially if you want to be near the Royal Albert Hall which is literally a four/five minute walk away.
Ambience is modern European. Clean and a little sparkly. Not for you if you are looking for 'olde' english.
Courteous staff. Was a nice touch that the receptionist remembered my name, and used it without prompting the following day.
Room well appointed, air con, hair dryer, etc. With a window that opened fully.
One nag, the basin had a centre push plug which didn't engage, which may point to irregular maintenance checks of the rooms.
British cooked, and European buffet style breakfast, perfectly adequate but not extra special. The breakfast staff were, again personable, although the waiting techniques of the clearing staff would need to improve to match the standard the hotel is pitched at.
All in all if you are looking for a hotel in the area, and don't want to pay for super high Knightsbridge prices, the Park Gate could fit the bill.

When I was there, none of the staff seemed to speak English (the hotel seems to be managed by a Spanish company. Their full English breakfast was a little odd, with a Spanish flair (including tortillas de patatas, for example). Easy walking distance to Hyde Park or the Natural History Museum and Royal Albert Hall.
