G. M.Firstly, shout out to Justin on reception who accommodated me so well, spoke with the gentleman on the phone the night before as I was arriving at 9am, he held my bags for me and even got my room ready for 10.30am, unbelievable 🥳
Also other staff member so pleasant and welcoming, you have some staff i tell you that keep them.
Secondly, the room was clean and I liked the decor, even a desk for my laptop as it was a working visit.
This would have been a 5star however this is not the Hotels fault, their is a Pub across from the front Entrance and constant noisy at midnight when it shuts. And then the binmen arrived at 1am to empty the glass bottles 🤣🤣🤣 what even is that.
Great location i would come back but only for a rear room, not at the front.

M. R.Stayed here unexpectedly when our Airbnb cancelled on us as soon as we got off the plane. Staff couldn’t have been nicer at every touch. Room was clean and comfortable. Location provides easy access to the tube and local sights. Incredible value for location, comfort and service. Will stay here again.

J. O.Lovely boutique hotel, friendly welcoming staff and good sized rooms. It's in a great location for Oxford St and Covent Garden and surrounded by restaurants and bars. Easy to walk to and from but can be difficult for taxis as it's in a one way system.
N. K.They exceeded my expectations in every step of the way. Our room seemed to be recently updated. Had a comfortable bed, good shower, clean and beautiful decorated. The staff was extremely helpful and gracious. The sitting rooms were out of a storybook. The location is very good with easy walking distance to many places yet is tucked away on a quiet street.

H. F.What a find The Rathbone is, lovely staff, comfortable bed, cozy rooms and a great little bar. My pet peeves with hotels is the packets of Nescafe coffee, it's just nasty! Unfortunately there is no option for 4.99 stars, as its only the coffee that I take issue with.

L. B.They've just reopened since the heavy Covid lockdown. I was the first to stay in the hotel in 10 months. Amazing, superhelpful and attentive staff. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, no cooked food due to Covid but it was more than made up for by the comfortable chairs and ever present staff. The location is central and the rooms were well proportioned (for London), comfortable and quiet. I would definitely visit again.

Rooms were a good size extremely clean with everything we needed and we both slept really well. The continental breakfast was superb & we will definitely return.

S. S.Friendly, clean and well run hotel hotel in a prime location of London. A little bit dated in decor, however it has all the essentials required for a nice long or short stay. The breakfast options could be better, and cooked breakfast potions larger, but it did taste lovely.

The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, even serving us food and drinks late in the evening after a night out. The rooms are fairly standard, but we enjoyed the coffee offered in room. Excellent staff, cozy accommodations and great location made for a great stay for us in London.

D. A.We were in London for a short business trip, and for that, the hotel was perfectly fine, but I don't think I would like to go back. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating, the location is also great, easy to get to, several options to eat out, have a drink or do some shopping, but the rooms do not match the exterior. My room was a single room, and it was tiny. I usually don't care, but this was pretty small even for my liking. Also, the furniture and the room itself could use a renovation, it's very dated and used. One major problem I had was the shower. The shower head is fixed to the wall high up and I'm a small person, this made showering quiet the challenge. If you only need to stay 2-3 days, it's fine, but wouldn't recommend it for longer holidays or trips.

No wonder the rates get crazy quite quickly, so I recommend booking well in advance for almost reasonable ones... Single rooms are really small, though.

P. F.I have stayed here 38 nights in the past 90 days. During this time, I have gotten to know the hotel and how they treat their guests. The staff at this hotel are the kindest, politest, and sweetest people. The guys who run the breakfast room are my best friends and they know how to put a smile on your face to start your day. Like any hotel, there’s the odd niggle, but it’s taken care of, at once you bring it to their attention. Thanks for giving me a nice place to stay Rathbone. Recommend A+.

M. K.Was staying on work at another property nearby. Moved to this hotel for one night as it was less expensive but in the same (very good) area.
Had booked via Expedia. Check-in was effortless. In fact had a taxi waiting for me, when I check-in. Took less than 5 minutes and I was in my room.
Was upgraded. I am not sure to which type of room but it was pretty large for London standards. Had a wooden ledge all around the room which is very convenient for putting your bags. Room otherwise had a decent sized TV, good TV selection, a writing desk and quite a few plug points.
Washroom was decent sized but the water could have been hotter.
Check out was super quick, 1 minute. Very early in the morning.
Service was excellent. Everyone smiled all the time. I didn't much time in the hotel. Between check-in and out was there for 11 hours.
Location is excellent.

A. W.We stayed for my husband's 30th birthday get away. As it was a special occasion we purchased the suite and it didn't disappoint. Nice and spacious, clean, very nicely furnished, very comfortable large bed. Every element was great. Staff were very nice, accomodating and kind and a very nice gesture of a pudding in our room spelling happy birthday was a very nice thought full touch. Location is great, lovely area lots of places to eat and drink but feeling more local than the city. Highly recommended this hotel
R. S.The hotel is quite expensive. But the rooms are really good and their service is amazing their baggage storage service is also good. Kudos to that. The hotel is at a 3 min walking distance from Goodge street underground station. The staff was really helpful in whatever queries I had. Really Amazing staff.
It would have been cooler if I had been given early check in. But they were more then happy to keep my luggage, so I guess that's okay :)

Every hotel staff was focussed on helping the customer as much as possible. We were greeted warmly by the staff. Close to good local restaurants. Probably my favourite mid range hotel in the city.

S. W.I reserved a single room as a solo traveler. The staff was friendly and efficient. They assisted me with directions and ordered a taxi for me to attend the theater. They also served food and bevereages which were tasty and reasonably priced.
The room was small by most US standards, but only slightly smaller than a double in NYC. It was cleaned daily. The full size bed was comfortable with four pillows. The bathroom was small and needed a little maintenace, but it was clean.
The hotel is located on a little one-way side street, across from a pedestrian way that contained several little restaurants. There were pubs across the street and around the corner. Its central location in London places it within walking distance of museums/monuments, theaters, and shopping, but the neighborhood does not feel touristy. I did not have any safety concerns or issues other than the general precautions which should be taken when traveling.
I would stay here again.
P. G.This is our first time in London and I chose this hotel blindly and off some reviews. It’s in a central location in London...lots of great restaurants near here, lots of pubs/bars near here if you want a drink .... and even with all that, we could not hear anything in our room. First day, we got here was one of the hottest days in London and our room was fresh and cool. I came with my daughter but next time I come I’ll stay here for the prime location.

And even though the hotel is small, it seems more quaint with the highly elegant rooms. Besides that, breakfast was nice; the employees were kind. Overall, the experience was enjoyable.

The bathroom in the room had small holes in the wall tiles which were just covered up with putty and painted. The continental breakfast was nice with friendly and attentive staff. The hotel was too expensive for the quality of the rooms, a 3-syar hotel at best in my view.

I can't say enough great things about the customer service in this hotel. The hotel is in a great location, very safe and very close to the Tube. I highly suggest it.
V. G.We arrived, for our three night stay, after an early flight to drop our bags and received the usual warm welcome and offer of complimentary drinks. Quiet, large and beautifully decorated room and bathroom, fruitplate and newspaper every day, free internet. Waters and towels were always stocked and perfect. I believe that this small boutique hotel is doing a wonderful job and I highly recommend to anyone traveling to London. My only complaint is that the bar doesn't feel very inviting.

k. d.This is a sweet little hotel. The room was comfortable and was equipped with a safe, hair driar, coffe/tea, tv, air conditioner, phone and a trouser iron (which I found very specific and funny).
The staff was nice and helpful. The location is great and close to Oxford street shopping and a tube station.

No mini bar/fridge is in the room either which is an inconvenience.

C.The decor was a little tired and the selection of teas, coffees and toiletries was a little basic but what you could not fault and the reason I would come back again and again is the service, food and quality of sleep had. All the main tick boxes of a hotel stay were spot on. Plus as for location it was ideal for a west end experience.

Aside from the locality the best feature of the Rathbone is the staff - they're always very friendly and courteous.
As for the hotel itself it has limited facilities and the rooms are dated. The aircon is a little noisy and doesn't work very well in my experience. WiFi isn't included. And if you get a room that faces onto Rathbone Street you'll probably find it noisy from the pub at night and early in the morning from deliveries.
But, I keep going back because it's easy and the staff are friendly.
I've rated 3/5 for room comfort and poor value for money more often than not.

T. M.Stayed at the Rathbone twice this summer for a quick business trip. The hotel is close to public transportation. The staff on the reception were very friendly and welcoming. Carpets in the hallways are in poor condition. We kept waking up at night due to noisy guests returning to their rooms.

Rooms are small, lacks basic amenities, such as fridge, dryer, iron, very small closet. Have to pay for wifi, food is too basic, $15 for English breakfast and $11 for continental where the only difference is they offer eggs in the more expensive.

The Hotel is reasonably well located: 5 minutes from Oxfird St and 15 minutes walk from Trafalgar Sq.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. All our special requests were supported with a great smile!
The breakfast is rich and healthy with unlimited quantities.
All in all - it was a great experience and I am confident that we shall come again!
