Very nice place. Good, Friendly but professional staff. Room was real nice. Shower was powerful and beds big enough (queen). Didn't eat at the hotel but looked really nice. A little note to hotel management. Gloss paint needs a freshen up and so does the hatch to the extraction on the ceiling, plus a little more coffee and sugar in the room needed. But said this it wouldn't stop me from booking again.

Stayed overnight whilst on a theatre visit. Hotel conveniently placed within walking distance. Good, clean room on sixth floor with comfortable queen bed and with all usual amenities. Good breakfast choice and friendly staff. I have dropped a star because of the poor finishing in the bathroom...gaps around shower door bottom, ill fitted skirtings and bath panel let it down and could easily be sorted out to look as smart as it should for an hotel of this type.
Would be happy to stay again and recommend from this initial visit.

Lovely stay for my birthday. Balloons on bed and a little cake were waiting for us in our room. Staff super friendly. Bar meals and cocktails great. Only one complaint...I think a dress code for breakfast should be stated. I wasn't impressed when a sweaty person in shorts and armless tshirt , straight from the gym, attacked the buffet wearing no mask. I feel the staff should have said something.

My daughter had lunch at the Waldorf last Thursday.
The food was excellent, but what made the day was our server, Jason.
Not only was he very professional, he was very keen to make sure our lunch would be perfect.
But his personality and humour was outstanding, he made the day.
Can't praise him enough, he is a credit to your hotel.
Thank you Jason, your a star x

The afternoon tea at The Waldorf was wonderful! Unfortunately we weren’t able to get a table by the center area, which was brighter. The sandwiches were good and so were the sweets and tea. Unfortunately, there was a staff shortage so we had to wait some time after ordering.

Stayed here for my friend's birthday. We had a twin room. The housekeeper forgot to clean it. This was the only disappointment. Otherwise, great location, good food and drinks menu, very cozy, good service at the reception and the bar. Lovely breakfast. Highly recommend.

I checked in on the 31st of Jan with my husband Osithegbemhe and kids to watch the Lion King Show at the Lyceum theatre and had a lovely time. We got upgraded, and the receptionist, Curtis, went above and beyond by helping us with our luggage when the lovely concierge, Daniel, was busy with other customers. Curtis stepped in to ensure that we were not kept waiting. It was a pleasant atmosphere. We will be back again.

Absolutely amazing hotel close to everything, with an amazing breakfast buffet also. Room was very spacious and you can listen to the TV in the bathroom via a speaker in there. Would reccomend staying there and we will be back.

Excellent location, beautiful fitted out and amazing breakfast. Concierge team very friendly and went out of their way to help. Minor issues though with facilities especially pool so double check this if it's important.
A. H.
Nice fish and chips, albeit missing the promised peas. Cocktails were amazingly lacklustre despite the reputation (and the price!) Nice to have been there, not sure I'd bother again.

Amazingly helpful and kind door staff. They’re funny and welcoming. The reason not 5 stars is because although their executive lounge and breakfast are beautifully decorated for the holidays, the availability of food and service in those two areas was pretty slim. The lounge had no wine or alcohol drinks or a good selection of snacks (as other lounges do) and the breakfast staff kept forgetting everything we ordered, they seemed to need training. I also saw someone wiping tables drop the rag on the floor, have the rug stuck and dragged in their shoes while walking around the table and then picked it up to continue cleaning the table…

Nice hotel. Stayed here a couple of times and the staff are really nice. Taken 1 star off due to sometimes the rooms are a bit tired and there are very visible damage in the rooms, the bathrooms especially.
N. K.
Expensive because of the pool, water was a bit salty? The interior design needs a revamp , most of all lamp shades were broken or damaged on the room floor. Room was very good. Colour in swimming pool was grey, bland and boring, steam room was not working.
C. H.
Thank you very much for making my extended stay comfortable! While visiting for the new year holidays I didn’t expect to remain here for an additional week due to a positive Covid test.
Thanks to Shefali and her staff for checking in on me regularly and making sure I had anything I needed- including some much needed snacks! Algiro helped me with a reasonable room rate so I could stay put until I tested negative. Michael and the room service people were prompt and provided great food options. And the Housekeeping Department was great at keeping me supplied with plenty of towels and bottled water.
I appreciate the help from everyone!

I attended a recent event. The staff were amazing and friendly especially the doorman (who really did go above and beyond to keep people safe.) There was a lovely lady on consiage who really couldn't do enough to help.
The food was amazing even though they was fully booked.
Nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff.
The building was stunning and rooms were impressive. The bed was so comfy especially the pillows.
There was lots of theatres, pubs and eating establishments close by.
Having access to the executive lounge in the hotel was an amazing experience and one I would very much recommend.
Thank you to all the staff, you helped to make our stay everything and more. Hope to return soon. ❤️

Grade 2 listed building with decor matching the theme and character. Top establishment in Central London and well worth the money. The hotel does not offer parking though 😔

Great hotel. Excellent rooms. Well located and I think the hotel has upgraded many rooms since my last stay. Highly recommend. Staff goes out of their way to help provide an exceptional stay.

Lovely hotel. Extremely friendly staff. Room very comfortable. Downside - breakfast service was slow , we waited 30 minutes on the first day to order hot choice & the hot drinks took 40 minutes to arrive. Never received promised welcome drink at check-in, so a bit disappointed, although I did not ask for it as I felt I would be viewed as being churlish. No reception/room service phone numbers in our room so Hubby had to go down to reception to order a couple of drinks. Tea provided on Tea tray was peppermint, fruit & earl grey, no nice strong English Breakfast which is what I would have wanted. Just a few tweaks & would have been 5 stars!

A Welcome return to Normality after the Covid pandemic, and a much needed luxury
break for business in London
This excellent historic hotel is located at the Aldwich in the heart of London's theatre
land just a few minutes walk from Covent Garden. The hotel was built in 1900’s and
over the years has undergone some major refurbishments. In the last 20 years it has
been modernised, and refurbished whilst still keeping the original art deco feel. The
rooms are larger than many hotels in London beautifully appointed and well equipped
with A/C, TV, bath and shower etc. This is an update on my previous review of this
hotel. Upon arrival I received a warm welcome at reception. From the moment I
arrived to the time I checked-out the service was exemplary. I had checked in online
before and my room was beautifully prepared. As a diamond member I received a
room upgrade to the most exquisite room, my only complaint is there was no proper
coffee machine in the room with only instant coffee. The executive lounge has
recently opened again after the restrictions put in place because of Covid. The
executive facilities have now returned to normal. I.e. soft drinks, tea, coffee, and
snacks from 9am until 10pm. The evening social is from 5pm – 7pm with alcoholic
drinks and canapés. The Bar menu is reasonably priced and offers a good selection of
snacks and light meals all day. There is a set Menu available in the Homage
Restaurant, as well as the al la carte. Breakfast is Excellent and the staff go above and
beyond to make guests welcome. A full breakfast service is available with a chef on
duty preparing omelettes, eggs etc. catering for the most fastidious tastes. I had an
excellent stay. The room’s and service are of the highest standard, the executive
facilities are first class. If you are looking for luxury break in London for business or
pleasure. I can recommend this Hotel for its location, facilities, and the excellent
service provided
K. M. P.
The hotel is in a fabulous location. We had a lovely stay. I’m a very light sleeper but I’m happy to say that the room was peaceful and quiet. We didn’t try the restaurant on this occasion but we will definitely be back to sample the cuisine next time.
L. W.
Room was nice but although we stayed 2 nights we had no housekeeping. The bed is very hard and both myself or my husband couldn’t sleep for both nights. £65 for 3 drinks beware !
A. Y.
Stayed for business just for 1 night. Absolutely amazing and seamless service. Edwardian interior, jazzy music in the lobby. Lovely swimming pool area. Breakfast area is in Victorian hight ceiling ball room with 2 grand chandeliers. Very impressive. Great and attentive staff at the lower bar area.
C. W.
The afternoon tea was brilliant with a touch of theatre. The staff were knowledgeable and super professional. Sophie was charming. The lady playing the harp added to the magic.
P. J.
The service here was poor. An Afternoon Tea, which was to be a special pre Christmas treat was very disappointing. Table presentation, service and food not what we expected from the Waldorf. Sandwiches were dry, the scones stale and unappetizing, the pastries very blue. Also the breakfast on the following morning was not good. Again the service was poor. Some of the items on the buffet were not replenished, plates were wet and cold. Coffee ran out. No marmalade. Not impressed.
J. P.
Very nice....a stay with elegance, fantastic service, very good rooms and a beautiful area....I had an exceptional time... London is a fantastic city.

Terrible waiter service. Excellent location, good front of house staff. Good concierge, bell hops and cleaning staff. Breakfast restaurant staff very poorly trained for customer service . We were sat away from the main restaurant on our own not sure if we were not posh enough, then waited ages for someone to take our order. I called someone over who said sorry I am just the host and cannot take your order. She walked off. No one else came or did she get anyone. Next a waiter with coffee came asking us if we wanted coffee. I said we wanted to order breakfast. he said oh my job is only coffee and walked away. I said you are the second person who said it wasn't their job. Eventually a 3rd waiter came and took our order after 20 minutes. Terrible service for a hotel of this standing.
d. m.
Paid for a room upgrade with breakfast. Room was a bit grubby which was a surprise for such a prestigious hotel. And the breakfast was chaotic queuing for breakfast which for me was a 1st, even after giving a time slot, Lots of people complaining.
Table service was terrible asked if we wanted tea or coffee and anything from the kitchen , the teas never turned up and the pancakes from the kitchen were cold, my wife had a croissant which was cold and hard. Had a better breakfast at the travel lodge to be honest.
M. W.
Staff really friendly and professional. Clean areas. The room was lovely really big lovely pillows and huge bathroom. Disappointed with there current policy of room cleaning. If occupant would like daily cleaning of room one must tell reception. We did and the 2nd day our room was not cleaned. I had to go to reception and ask for toiletries and bottled water. The price of room was for room only and I consider quite a high price.
A. R.
This hotel is very comfortable rooms very clean and lovely beds it is very central to many theatres and for Covent Garden
Douglas and the lovely Italian doorman
We’re very helpful and informative
We will be back to stay again
H. K.
Good clean hotel with comfy beds. Pillows not as good as some other hotels but room itself is great.

I mean, come on... It's the Waldorf!! Of course it was fabulous! Great room, great atmosphere, superb Lounge, fabulous service, wonderful breakfast, big bill but I didn't care... Worth every penny and I can't wait to go again!

The Waldorf Hilton 3*'s? Most was good, some was unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. I had a once in a lifetime chance to stay here in November. I found an amazing price on Hilton's website (the flex Honor's price, cancelable until 3 days before arrival), and I had heard how great the location is. The location is fantastic if you want to go to theatres. There are direct bus lines from many parts of the city, and it is a short walk to tube and train stations. The room I had was nice with a walk in closet. The bed was comfortable. There was enough storage space for my closes for 9 days. There was a cute alcove with a window looking north towards the BT tower, and my other window was south towards the London eye. I was on the 7th floor. There are some steps from the elevator to the room, but that is fine for me. The gym that you have access to is really good! I used it one day until I unfortunately started running in boots and gave myself blisters (I'm no longer used to wearing boots every day). The issue I had on arrival that I specifically requested on the request form was for the radiant heated towel rack to be on, it wasn't, but they fixed it for the next day.
Why 3 stars? House keeping. House keeping would come to my room early. About 9 am. I'd be getting ready to leave the room to go out, since that's when my friends would want to meet up. It would be after I had breakfast. I would tell them, I'll be out of the room in less than an hour, and I'd leave the convenient "Please clean room" light on. When I returned to the room 12-13 hours later, the room would not have been serviced. I'd have no tea/milk clean glasses or cups for the next morning. The towels were dirty, and on the floor. (I'm not trying to be wasteful, but English shower/tub combos with the moveable plastic arm instead of a shower curtain, I don't understand them -- they always seem to have a gap, so no matter how I tried, the water leaks onto the floor, so I mopped it up with my used towels).
I spoke with the front desk almost every night asking for new towels, toiletries, things for tea, and new glasses. I think my room was serviced twice by the time I arrived back late at night. This was extremely frustrating for a fancy hotel.
The breakfast was nice. The executive lounge also nice. I only took advantage of the evening hor dourves once.
H. S.
Friendly staff. Special thanks to the door man and Richard the Toastmaster for helping us with our equipment. We recently played for an Indian wedding. Everyone was really nice and made our day really easy.
Thank you.

A lovely weekend away, our room was lovely, quiet, clean and spacious, breakfast was great and so was afternoon tea. The bar was a little noisy after 10pm and lots of people we’re trying to come in off the street meaning we had to reserve a table in order to get space in the bar, but still a fantastic hotel with incredible service.
t. s.
Our visit was made up of an afternoon tea, overnight stay and breakfast, all of which was really lovely except the breakfast, a bit overcooked, and the eggs were tasteless and for the cost of this I would expect perfection. Staff were very professional and friendly especially Douglas the doorman so friendly and helpful, perfect start to entering the hotel. Would stay again but not with breakfast..
S. G.
Great hotel, staff and location. Loved the pool and gym. Would definitely stay again.
C. V. B.
This is an outstanding hotel with excellent service and great rooms. Great location too.
I only wish I didn't have to go through the truly horrible Hilton reservations system (online and phone) to book a group of rooms.
L. W.
Fantastic place. Great breakfast lovely rooms. I would stay again

I like Good Godfrey's Bar. It's walk in and a beautiful place to sit and drink in on a day out in London. It's also one of my favourite spots for a date. It's a nice calm place with Excellent staff.
S. D.
One of the best hotels l have been in.
The food is great, hospitality on the highest level. The whole team is kind and considerate.
D. P.
Absolutely amazing afternoon tea, the best so far in London. No rush to vacate table, catered for gluten intolerance with fabulous alternatives. The Palm Court room was closed but the bar area was both comfortable and intimate, loved the experience.
k.
Beautiful old building, welcoming staff, delicious breakfast. We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday and there was an option to add the birthday setup which was amazingly done. We really enjoyed our stay.
J. H.
Friendly welcome , easy check in. Queen room, clean but mattress bid hard . Bathroom roomy and very clean.
Tea/coffee in room but no biscuits !! Always should have some in room. Furniture in room ok, desk bit marked .
Evening meal was pleasant , I didn't like my steak starter but that was just my taste . Main seabream beautiful .
Deconstructed cheesecake , small and not that tasty.
Bottle sparkling water , £12.75 really!! Didn't realise until checkout . And I only drank half of it. Breakfast was good ,full English only problem wasn't hot just warm but very tasty, good selection on pastries , juices available. Setting was wonderful in main dining room. I enjoyed my stay, I have had as good or better in a less star hotel . Think you pay more because it's called The Waldorf. You do see the history in the hotel decor which I liked .

We had lunch in the Homage Restaurant to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The food was exquisite! So beautifully presented and delicious. A feast for both the eye and the palate! Service cannot be faulted and a special thanks to our lovely waitress, Jasmine, who on nothing more than a throw away comment about it being our anniversary, must have tipped the chef as we treated to a lovely additional dessert on a plate with the occasion piped onto it! Drinks before and after lunch taken outside and again, faultless service (we didn't catch the server's name but she's a young girl doing her MA at Kings so if her employers read this, they will know who she is!), attentive staff and reasonable prices with complimentary olives, nuts and water - these little touches make all the difference. 100% recommended.
C. A. W.
I love this hotel. Central to excellent amenities, shops and theatre. Room very clea , staff welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. As a hilton honours member I will be back in the new year.
M. G.
We met a few friends at the bar before going to a show. I had the best lemon tonic drink and restroom Experience at this hotel. My children thought the acoustics was very good as they sang in the downstairs rest room. The staff were prompt and polite. Thank you for a great start to the night.
M. S.
I went there for a 10 day stay to celebrate my bday. The greeting was appreciated,y bday was highline with balloons and chocolate and a card. Location is perfect, close to all the theaters and many excellent restaurants. Staff is helpful and friendly.
I took the Junior King Bed room on the 5th floor. Spacious but very small shower stall.
Room cleaning could be improved. I gather they are lacking staff. Missing towels, bathroom floors not washed, I had to call house cleaning but they never answer, finally got through room service to help.
Bring your slippers as none are given, very limited supplies (no q-tips, not cotton swabs, no nail files, no pen and paper).
Price is very reasonable especially if you have Hilton Honours membership.
5 stars for the gym! Very well equipped, the best hotel gym I ever had!
All is all good experience and I would recommend, but don't be shy to ask housekeeping for missing items.

After deciding to visit the royal palaces this year due to the lack of foreign visitors, my daughter got a special deal at the Waldof. It proved a good choice as the bus to the Tower of London stopped directly outside and it was a 10-15 minute journey dependant upon the traffic, with it fronting theatreland it meant only a short walk for the evening entertainment.
Our room was superb and the staff we encountered were faultless. The bar staff were aways on hand to service our needs, the bar meals and drinks were very good. The breakfast was a mixture of buffet and hot meals served directly to the table.
We would return when appropriate as we could not fault hotel for amenities or service.
S. W.
Went for afternoon tea the food was nice best champagne I've ever had staff was friendly
G. T.
Came here for dinner and was amazing, reka in the restaurant was lovely, food was incredible, and the singer on a Thursday a nice little touch. All in all a beautiful evening and all staff very attentive. Concierge Tia even helped with directions to Shoreditch for us. Thank you for an amazing evening everyone xx

Such a alluring infrastructure with luxurious room facilities near themes river. On the top of that one can enjoy Great stay at this hotel and arrange any event or marriage function to make it memorial and fruitful experience.
K. S.
Really central location for visiting theatres, and staff were SO lovely and helpful. Very welcoming, and provided assistance with toddler friendly things like high chair and cot.
K. W.
This great hotel lived up to expectations in the heart of the west end and ideally placed for restaurants and theatres...excellent.
S. I.
Staff are amazing and super helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was great and great drinks menu.
The rooms are very basic but the hotel is in a fantastic location.
K. D.
We been here for Afternoon Tea. The environment, design and atmosphere were really nice. Afternoon Tea was a quite of disappointment. Long waiting between sandwiches and dessert (from my experience I supposed it come together or at least without long waiting). Bread on sandwiches was a little bit dry and stuffing, on my taste, tasteless. Also I put spesial request during online booking. I just wanted a little surprise for my daughter who just finished High school... Just a minimum - little card, etc. But it was nothing.
So. Afternoon Tea was not bad but very very average. I expected better things from this place.
M. N.
Beautiful place, Amazing staff (roxy) shame there isn't any parking. New monkey gin bar looks amazing.
J. X.
A wonderful hotel. The food was delicious. The seared chicken was superb, so too was the fish (bream). The strawberry cheese cake was 😋. The staff were friendly and helpful.
V. A.
A very luxurious hotel, staff are very friendly. After spending 3 nights in the hotel, I wish I could have stayed longer.
Meal were delicious and presented nicely. I will be returning soon. 🤗

Beautiful venue for a wedding in Central London. Easy to reach my public transport or taxi.
B. L.
Cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Stayed here from Saturday 28th August until Monday 30th. From the warm greeting from the Door Man, to the super helpful Conceirge, lovely staff on reception to the friendly and accommodating restaurant team. The food was absolutely out of this world! Plus the team were extra attentive to my sister who was there for her Hen weekend - she even had a special cake brought out as a surprise which was a lovely touch.
The hotel itself is decorated with luxury in mind. Lovely chandeliers and marble flooring. Impeccable in every way.
If you want to have a break in London - this hotel is definitely worth a look. It's a really good location to the theatres and embankment. And not too far to walk to Covent Garden
Amazing experience and we can't wait to come back!!!
P. K.
A lovely hotel with lovely staff.
My birthday was made more special by the card and chocolates left in the room.(thank you)
Not impressed that a family with a child constantly crying being put in the adjoining room to us.(not very romantic for a couple).
We would stay again as everything else was so nice.
H. G.
Very pricey, but lovely ambience and amazing attentive staff.
Beautiful food

Enjoyed the Money Age awards event here. Great event and wonderful venue. Also great as the company I work for Currencies Direct won Best Money Transfer Provider.

Just returned back tonight after a overnight stay as part of a GB tours trip to London, room was fantastic, modern and exceptionally clean, breakfast was excellent and staff were lovely especially the cheerful man on the door, couldn't recommend The Waldorf more highly.
M. P.
Great 3 day stay, fantastic staff ( front desk especially ) and very good service.
I would have given 5 stars if there was a legitimate reason for the executive lounge being closed with everything else open, it was even possible to sit sweating beside a complete stranger in the steam room and not have a drink in a large lounge. ???
On the plus side a bottle of bubbly was provided in the upgraded room ( As diamond members ) and we are very thankful to you for that.
We would stay again when you open fully.
k. r.
Splendid room, beautiful food, helpful friendly service. Hotel very well placed for access to theatres & transport. Loved it.
S. B.
We had a great weekend stay here. The staff were incredibly helpful and the rooms were spotless
S. W.
Wonderful stay, amazing staff going the extra mile to make you feel special.
Great location for the West End shows.
C. H.
Poor service at breakfast, ignored on first day totally. Overcharged by almost £200 on checkout. If staff member on reception had spoken I could have avoided a lengthy wait to resolve and refund this.
K. W.
Only stayed for one night but have to say it's the best hotel I've stayed in,great rooms and breakfast ,great experience.

This rating is specifically for the Homage restaurant within the hotel. Lovely food, nice peaceful atmosphere and the food was delicious. The rib eye steak done medium rare was just as I like it. Full of flavour, not too chewy, and the peppercorn sauce complimented it perfectly.
They also have a good range of cocktails from their bar menu.
Great place, friendly staff. Definitely worth the 5 stars
N. L.
Fantastic place, great location, amazing breakfast.
J. O.
Great rooms. I know it sounds daft but a great shower with decent water flow and great temperature compared to some othe hotels i have stayed in
B. B.
Great hotel serving a quality afternoon tea. A pleasant experience from entering, due to the very happy, helpful & friendly (scottish) doorman!
B. V.
Favorite Hilton in London! Excellent expérience from sidewalk to room. Sanya at front desk ticked all her boxes on professionalism as well as the concierge and breakfast hostesses and servers. I had just completed one portion of my breakfast and lifted the empty plate to place away only to have this gentleman/server carefully scoop it up as if reading my mind. I should have gotten his name. I’ll be back.

What a wonderful visit at The Waldolf, stepping into a hotel.wotj such great history, from the moment you arrive the greeting of the doorman, helpful courteous and a great smile. Hospitality at it's best. We had a delicious lunch which got all the taste buds working. The menu offers a great selection of dishes from traditional steak to healthy options catering for all palates. The ambience was relaxed and attentive service. Compliments to the chef and pastry chef, the food was exquisite. Full of flavours bold and great presentation on the plate. Selection of wines completed each dishes that we selected. This is worth a visit whether you want to celebrate it visiting theatre land. Thank you
T. C.
A bit tired now. Everything a bit shoddy and worn. Needs an update to balance out the charm.
C. C.
Disappointing afternoon tea. Stale bread and tasteless sandwiches. Nice staff and excellent pianist, hence the 3 stars!
A. B.
Worst martini I’ve had in my life…. And the staff was rude, such a disappointment 😕
T. H.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room was small so the 2 double beds were pushed together. The bed was rather too soft and the bathroom lighting too low.
j. r.
Beautiful space for events, staff all professional, nice and helpful. Only reason for 4 star over 5 was due to the checkout process, was not enough staff on checkout desks vs number of people waiting in line. Express checkout had no one there.
C. N.
Such a lovely setting and absolutely wonderful food.
Glad we chose the Waldorf Hilton
S. O.
Lovely hotel/restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you will feel the history, heritage, and a touch of luxury. Bedrooms are nice and beautifully designed too.
D. C.
Delicious food, great service, had a really lovely evening
S. H.
We had a lovely 3 course meal for a friends 50th birthday. Service great
M. R.
Visited almost ten years ago and we still think about it to this day. We were upgraded to an executive suite due to issues when checking in and it was wonderful. We had afternoon tea in the ball room. The hotel is in a great location to get around and on the doorstep of most shows.
P. E.
It was good to say I've finally been however unfortunately for them the name excels itself, yet I wasnt blown away. I suppose this cant be everyone's bag.

Old world elegance with excellent customer service in the heart of the West End.
D. G.
I just dined here using a Groupon and it was worth every penny. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented accordingly. The staff were great, not stuck up at all real working class people who treat you well even well using a coupon.
C. J.
My friends and I had afternoon tea which was really lovely and the music was just right thank you
F. L.
Excellent location, great breakfast experience, and helpful staff.

Went for a wedding function. Very nice hotel in Central London beautiful decor and clean.

London Britain and UK South Kensington is in a bad neighborhood, the facilities are not.modern, the staff are bad and very inneficient, the nurses and doctor arw not great, volunteering is bad and givea no results, the shops are poor and unkempt and should be bankrupted
R. M.
Messaged the hotel two weeks before arrival. They replied once I'd returned back home. Average room for an expensive cost.
C. S.
Great hotel in the heart of the theatre district. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice burger, made to measure option is a nice touch. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff.
D. B.
Stunning Hotel, comfy beds, great service, tasty breakfast, really enjoyed my stay here. Very well located. Clean and fresh, lots of fast lifts up to your room which we never had to share. Bathroom was perfect for getting ready for a night out on the town, spacious and well lit.

We had a wonderful and luxurious stay at the Waldorf. Great location, service and staff. Staff go out of their way to make you feel very special. The concierge team are brilliant

Fantastic afternoon tea!
Highly sophisticated service, fine tea and lovely food.
There was just one fault; it happened just before I come into the hotel. Clearly because of my nationality of Japan, a doorman prevented me from entering and checked, not asked, my purpose.
No whites were asked when they enter the hotel.
I. H.
Great venue for wedding very luxurious.
C. L.
Absolutely wonderful stay. Location is ideal. The service has always been legendary about this Waldorf. All the staff were fantastic. A grand and prestigious building. Check-in was very smooth. The room had a classic old school charm. Breakfast had a cold section for buffet and hot food ordered. And the palm court for both tea and breakfast was a beautiful and unique experience.
A lack of visitors staying but hopefully things will improve. I will definitely return soon.
P. B.
Decent enough quality as you would expect from Hilton I.e. clean & tidy. Not quite as 5 star as they would like to think it is when it comes to the rooms. My room was on the top floor, couldn't get the AC to work so was stuffy. Also there was a roof light directly over the bed which didnt have a curtain or blind so at 4.30am the room was in full brightness. Other than that the room was well appointed with a nice bathroom suite etc. Breakfast was ok but at £22 i would have expected a bit more. Would stay again as overall price not too bad for central London.
B. E.
Love the style of this hotel our first choice for a London stay

This was nice, unimposing curteous staff,Pleasant surroundings ,Tall columns, black marble floors, grand pianos and pretty fresh garden flower arrangements..Afternoon Tea was very enjoyable, everything quite delectable, although I dont eat bread and there were several little fingers sandwiches.2 of the little sweet selection were rather memorable...The White choc & cherry.choux &The Earl grey maccaron...Nice.

One of my favourite hotels when I travel to London for business. I really enjoy the excellent service as the staff are professional and attentive. The station is always comfortable, good price.
D. S.
Fantastic place to stay I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
r. ,.
The afternoon tea was very poorly delivered. The sandwiches were a bit stale, the range of treats were not tasty and hard and my coffee was cold.
It's a below 'average' afternoon tea experience which was not great.
Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone celebrating a special day

WOW! Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in when visiting London! Just loved every minute, thank you guys! London is OPEN AGAIN! Best city in the world!
K. N.
Its very quiet once inside. The services are to a very high standard. Very hygienic and caters like a resort with a bar, gym, swimming pool etc. The staff are polite and very attentive to all guests.
A place of leisure

What a beautiful hotel brought to life by the amazing staff. They made my young family feel so welcome and special during our 4 days - thank you.

Absolutely fabulous from check in to check out. Calming relaxing well looked after.

If anyone is looking for good deals for hotel rooms visit ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ reserved a hotel on there and these guys had the best rates any where!
I visited this hotel when the company I work for (Julia Charles Event Management) installed their Christmas decorations. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a brilliant location. The staff couldn't be more helpful and their customer service was exceptional.

Had a lovely afternoon tea which was arranged by Harley who is very kind. He made the experience fantastic for me. The staff that day were hospitable. Very friendly, knowledgeable and overall the experience was great. I would recommend having an afternoon tea here you will not be disappointed.
A. R.
Good hotel with friendly staff. Clean, tidy spacious rooms. Great dinning, the breakfast is 1st class. Parrot cocktail bar is well worth a visit.
Slightly disappointed with items that should have been in the room, for instance coffee machine was on the booking but not in the room, staff said online and booking was incorrect so don't trust everything on the website.
B. N.
Excellent hotel, leaving you with a feeling of having stayed somewhere a cut above.

We are a family of four and we stayed at the Hilton Waldorf for a long weekend and it was a memorable stay. From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely polite, welcoming and helpful. Vlad in the main ballroom, where you have breakfast and tea, was a particular highlight. The website does not do justice to the bedrooms nor the dining area. The bedrooms are luxurious with beautiful grand bathrooms and the dining area is an art deco masterpiece from a bygone era. It was an experience just to sit there and enjoy the surroundings. The hotel itself is in a perfect location for visitors. You are within walking distance of most of London's major landmarks from Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square to the Tate Modern, St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London which is a must-see. The hop on-hop off bus stop is also helpfully round the corner. We would highly recommend a cream tea to finish off a day sightseeing. We would go back in a hurry!

Amazing hotel very attentive staff lovely room and extremely comfortable bed
K. S.
Wonderful hotel. Staff very attentive.
I. C.
Had a brilliant time visiting the Sophie Tea Nudie show. Had the best time. The Waldorf is stunning.
M. M.
Had a lovely stay for our wedding anniversary. The staff is extremely helpful and they made us feel very comfortable by playing with our baby. The rooms are well cleaned. We absolutely recommend this hotel.
J. T.
The staff was absolutely top notch, and I’m saying that as someone who lives in hotels. We arrived at 10:00 am to drop off our bags until check in and they were able to just check us in early instead. The rooms are very nice and up to date. The best hotel breakfast you’ll ever have. They were also very helpful with how to get around the city and how to use the public transportation there. Highly recommend.
S. A.
Rooms are tiny. Water temperature inconsistent making showering a nightmare. Bar isn't very sociable.
m. s.
Lovely hotel in a great location near Covent garden and theatres. WiFi is only free in the lobby which is really poor for a 5 star hotel. Air con not that cold
G. D.
Lovely rooms.poor afternoon tea. Expensive bar.
J. M.
Wonderful architecture and very friendly staff but very ££££ pricey but it would be wouldn't it 🙈🙈😂😂
J. D.
Excellent service, room was well turned down. The only complaint was the sausage at breakfast was very salty but otherwise first class. We will definitely return after the country gets back to normality.
I. M.
Dinner for two in the main restaurant. Great ambiance. Social distancing rigorously applied. Liked the posters with the history of the tes dances. Much better now they've reverted to the traditional style and stopped trying to be trendy.
P. T.
Great hotel, with seamless contactless check-in facilities, and ideally located in central London.
A. D.
Nice hotel rooms where cold could do better
A. M.
Room wasn't cleaned properly. The breakfast consisted of salty bacon and was cold and when we asked for hot toast it came up cold
M. W.
Lovely Hotel with great staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the Afternoon Tea with great service from Argentinian Augustin. Carlos the sous-chef was very attentive then and at breakfast the next morning. Nice to hear enthusiastic staff for their hotel.
I. K.
Went here for afternoon tea to celebrate sister’s uni offer from Cambridge, unfortunately everything was extremely disappointing and the scones itself were so tiny and hard, I could make better scones than those to be very honest, teas were diluted with water every time we top up, cakes were better but seriously don’t recommend their afternoon. Bright side service was great despite the atrocious food.

Wonderful stay at The Waldorf Hilton, London, the staff were friendly and helpful, the suite was spacious and had all the facilities expected and required.
R. M.
Highly professional staff. Great set up in the hotel. Nice atmosphere. Reheim, one of the managers was terrific. He was very helpful and accommodated all of our needs. All the staff were helpful the entire time we were here. The drinks and food were great! They have an excellent gym, also. Room service e was great. They always met ate needs and I will return if I'm ever here again. Customer Service is wonderful! Location is great.
D. K.
Douglas the doorman was amazingly helpful. He was knowledgeable, polite and extremely accommodating!
He made up for our stay otherwise being a bit rubbish. The AC in our room would only blow warm air, and the cold tap was literally hot, as was the hot tap!
J. C.
Really enjoyed the stay apart from one issue the lift door in the lobby closed much to quickly trapping my partners arm causing bruising to be fair a member of staff did ask if she was ok We didn't want to make a issue of it as we had just arrived and the bruising didn't come out till later
B. H.
Fabulous hotel, steeped in history, located in the heart of London Theatreland. Good Godfrey bar and lounge serves an excellent cocktail. Made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived at the hotel.
J. I.
Had tea, not a hotel stay. But it was excellent.
H. P. G. L.
Breakfast was okay, full English didn't have beans, some items on the menu costed extra? Also my room didn't have cold water, however, bed was really comfortable and the room was decently sized.
J. G.
Great staff and a very enjoyable stay.
S. B.
Lovely hotel with efficient and attentive staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Public areas were spotless and tidy. Breakfast was self service with a good choice of hot and cold options. Afternoon tea was served on Waldorf monogrammed china will a selection of sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and jam, individual trifles, macaroons and a variety of small cakes. We had to have a doggy bag to take home some of the cakes.
J. C.
Honestly I expected much more from here. We arrived after the specified time for arrivals and the rooms still weren't ready. When I got my room it was clean but the TV was broken the pillows were flat and the room was faded. I know they are having massive renovation work done to the building which was fine but for what it is you expect the best and it was very lacking. No clear directions on where the restaurant was given so a few were jumping the queue and coming in through the back door and the breakfast itself was on par from a 3* hotel.
J. A.
Highly reputed, landmark located, famous hotel for the rich and famous, we just popped in to the lounge bar near the front entrance for a quick refreshment having an hour to kill before our table was ready at a local venue. It took the whole hour to be served 4 cocktails and a pot of tea. When it came it was very good but don't go there if you are on a tight schedule there is no sence of time exercised by the barman here. Prices typically high as would be expected but not an indication of the attentiveness of the staff. I am sure their rooms are great though I don't think I will be booking in any time soon.

We came here for afternoon tea Saturday in the Palmcourt, the surroundings were beautiful it was fairly quiet due to Covid 19, hence service was a little slow , but it didn’t spoil our day.The scones were warm and tasty, our cocktails, Prosecco went down well! Our cakes , tea, coffee were delicious. Our server had great recommendations, was polite and friendly, thank you Chade 🙏🏾

I visited this hotel when the company I work for (Julia Charles Event Management) installed their Christmas decorations. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a brilliant location. The staff couldn't be more helpful and their customer service was exceptional.

Quite simply excellent service and accommodation. Breakfast fast and efficient
A. R.
We got married here in 2018 and have returned on our anniversary in the 2 years since. Aside from the mesmerising beauty of the building and rooms, the staff are always absolutely amazing. On our special day and leading up to it nothing was too much trouble and every little thing was taken care of. We cant' thank Vladimir and the team enough for everything they have done and continue to do for us on our return See you again soon.

The hotel reception is really racism .the attitude is very bad . It’s makes me very disappointed!

In this time of Covid to be honest I'm always nervous about hotel stays, however this hotel has everything in place for the safety of its guests. (Clean Stay. full information on the Hilton site) This excellent hotel is located at the Aldwich in the heart of theatre land, and a few minutes walk from Covent Garden. Being an older hotel, the rooms are larger than most hotels in London and beautifully appointed and well equipped with A/C, TV, tea & coffee facilities, bath and shower etc. Upon arrival I received a warm welcome from the staff at check in. I had checked in online before and my room was beautifully prepared. Whilst the executive lounge is closed because of Covid I received vouchers for drinks in the bar and evening canapés (table service) although there is a limited menu it is reasonably priced. Breakfast is Excellent and the staff and chef went above and beyond to make me welcome. A full breakfast service is available with a chef on duty preparing omelettes, eggs etc. catering for the most fastidious tastes. Overall an excellent stay. If you are looking for an affordable luxury break in London I can strongly recommend this Hotel
J. D.
We loved this hotel! The best part I think is the close proximity to Covent Garden, which offers some of the best restaurants, shopping and atmosphere in London. The hotel staff was great, we especially loved Francesco at the door, he was friendly and accommodating! The rooms are very small, but, this is London, so we understand.. the breakfast buffet each morning was very nice and we absolutely loved The Parrot bar. Fun live music and a very nice drink menu! The only thing I did not like was the gym/pool, I honestly felt very intimidated going down there and didn't feel very "welcome" if that's a thing in a gym, but I went once and never again.
C. S.
Afternoon tea at Homage was good. The restaurant is a grand room but lacks warmth and atmosphere - perhaps to be resolved when the refurbishment of the hotel is complete. However the afternoon tea was delicious, the staff welcoming, attentive and friendly and I would happily go back :)
L. C.
Wonderful stay at the Waldorf. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, well furnished with a super comfy bed. Breakfast was superb, can't fault the hotel. Perfect location for the sights and theatres with lots of excellent restaurants
in walking distance. Covent garden just around the corner! Look forward to visiting again.
E. L.
Had a lovely 3 course dinner , service could have been better
S. G.
Very good location. The front desk manager Rehaim(sorry if I misspelled your name) is amazing. We got there at around midnight and were treated amazing. He said we were the only people who actually asked how he was doing. Manners go a long way. We got upgraded to a great room.
P. P.
Refurbed inside and still retaining that old world feel, so room are visually nice but the shower for example is in then bath and pretty tight on space.
Two cool bars and restaurant is well above par for a Hilton.
Very well situated and I like staying there.
K. F.
We celebrated a 50th birthday with afternoon tea at the Waldorf yesterday. The staff were amazing, very accommodating. The birthday cake was bought to the tune of Happy Birthday played on the harp and piano. A very nice touch. We want to thank them for a lovely afternoon. A beautiful traditional English hotel in the heart of London.
M. C.
Amazing valentines day experience ♥
E. W.
Clean hotel, friendly staff, walking distance to several shopping areas, restaurants and pubs. The decor is not modern at all but still a very nice old school setting. Excited to stay at this hotel again once the rehab is complete.
B. W.
Beautiful hotel. Stayed in an executive suite with 2 friends, they slept in a comfy bed and I slept on the sofa bed - which was perfectly comfy and I had a great nights sleep! The products that come in the bathroom are high quality.
We spent time in the executive lounge, and enjoyed afternoon tea, which was lovely, we then stayed until the evening where unlimited alcohol was placed on the tables.
In the morning we had breakfast, the breakfast hall is absolutely stunning. The service was fantastic and the food was impeccable. Great stay, can't wait to visit again.
R.
Good hotel but undergoing renovations to the outside. Facilities are good. Trading on past glory ? Perhaps. Good but for the prices not great. However, still recommend.
Location could not be better for the theatre district. Three key requirements for a short city breakl: Location, location, location.
K. S.
Lovely hotel in unbeatable location! The rooms are all updated and modern although some can be a bit smaller. The breakfast and tea room are eloquent and definitely worth enjoying a meal in. And importantly, you’re just about a 10 minute walk from many great London attractions.
N. E.
Amazing hotel, had a wonderful stay. Had afternoon tea with free flowing champagne to celebrate my husbands birthday. Served by Theresa who was so attentive and welcoming. She presented my husband with a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to him. Would recommend as it was a really lovely experience.
A.
This is not a hotel. It’s a home away from home, the way hotels once were - warm, welcoming and personal. We spent 6 nights here during the holidays and had a great time. Staff is amazing - every time we came in we were greeted personally and asked how was our day. When we left each morning always offering to guide and help. The room was great and the executive lounge our base camp for launching into a day of touring London. The hotel is very central - Covent Gardens, Seven Dials, London Eye, National Museum all a few walking minutes away. Highly recommended!

We are staying here currently just until the end of the bank holiday weekend. We fancied a trip to enjoy dining out again in various restaurants nearby.
We checked in, the check in lady was very nice and sent a bottle of prosecco to our room. I think because I am a diamond member? Irrespective it was a nice touch. We were also upgraded from what we booked, again a nice gesture and appreciated. The breakfast so far has been very good too. Staff have been very attentive.
However the rooms themselves I don't feel are up to scratch. The toilet bowl has significant scratching and what looked like unflushed particles of a pevious guests business floating in there. Bath panel is precariously sticking out from the side of the bath. The rollerblind in there has a few crusty looking stains on it. The right, hand basin doesn't drain. The cold taps produce warm to hot water, quite a surprise when you turn on the blue tap and hot water comes out. I've attached pictures for your enjoyment.
In the room, the AC control looks like it belongs in a museum, you can adjust it easily in one direction but the other it's almost completely irresponsive. Large stains on the carpet. The glass shelves above the minibar have enough dust on them you can see it in the light. I appreciate dust accumulates but this must be a while given it's inside a closed cupboard.
While I understand some wear and tear happens in rooms there's a minimum standard at which point someone must decide that no longer looks satisfactory. I'd be ashamed to let someone in my house if my bathroom was in such disrepair, so why should it be any different in a hotel.
Confusingly the fire escape plan doesn't reflect the layout of the room. It shows a partition wall and door between the bathroom/hallway side and the bedroom. If a partition wall has been removed I would think the maps should be updated. In the event you were in a smoke filled room you'd likely navigate by touching the walls and following doors etc so I'd say it's imperative that schematics match the actual layout. If that is out of date perhaps other routes or layouts have been changed.
We did have similar feedback from family members who stayed here in 2014 or 2015, but hoped it had improved but doesn't appear to have.
As I say the staff are all excellent but I think management needs to review the rooms on a regular basis and do ad-hoc refurbishments where necessary. Not what I'd expect at the price point and brand.
J. A.
Everything was perfect! Very quiet hotel and still good location. The concierge stuff very helpfulness. We had a lovely, modern and very functional room. Breakfast one of the best in London. AND The cutting edge was the afternoon tea.....such an excellent experience!!!!
C.
Top class hotel. I was there for a wedding. The food was delicious 10 out of ten. I recommend the fillet sea bass in white cream sauce. Cocktails very nice. The decor was stunning. Very comfortable surroundings. The table service was excellent.
P. W.
Went yesterday and had the star menu, (same the previous Saturday) service was fantastic however the food, (chicken w)as tough and not as tasty as the previous week, we also never received our gift at the end like stated on menu and we got previous week. A little touch I know but these little things make a difference..
D. B.
Stayed 3 nights last week. This hotel gets 5 star for location; walking distance to all the tourist spots and located in the heart of theatre district.
But the house keeping was just terrible. Didn’t bother doing the room on first day. When I complained was told that it was because of a computer glitch, I wasn’t convinced. Although they did send house keeping on 2nd day but left the trash bins for their guests to clean. I guess USD 500 plus does not include house keeping at this hotel!
The best was left for our final night..... loud music was playing till 1 am. Couldn’t sleep, complaining to front desk is pointless. Take my advice and avoid rooms on first floor. Better choose another hotel if you want proper house keeping.
Disappointed..
J. F.
Excellent stay, they provided cake and card in our room knowing it was our anniversary. Reception staff friendly and efficient, room lovely, spacious, clean and bed was so comfortable. Location of hotel excellent, wish we had stayed longer, will recommend and certainly be back when next in London.
S. M.
We booked this for a honeymoon night. The hotel was extremely slow in preparing our room, and we almost missed our dinner reservation as a result. The Executive Lounge Manager, Kenzie, was the only saving grace with that issue. She was phenomenal. Outside of her, the level of service just didn't seem to be on par with what you would expect with am upscale hotel. I was surprised at how much they didn't seem prepared for being at full occupancy for a weekend night. Especially since this was a nice hotel in central London. It wasn't a bad experience, we just expected more.
p. h.
Fantastic hotel, staff is very friendly and breakfast was outstanding. This would be one of first choice next time. We forgot our passports in the room safe and Chris went above and beyond to keep it safe for us until we returned for 2 days.
L. H.
Was good. The £69 food was awesome.
C. T.
Very nice hotel right in the heart of the west end next to the theatre showing Tina Turner. The rooms are well decorated and offers lots of facilities. The staff on the desk were nice and very helpful. The only downside was that the restaurant area was adults only so this hotel isn't the best suited to family's despite being in the theatre area.
P. N.
Location of the hotel was perfect. Our room was large, clean and beautifully decorated. Bed was without a doubt one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Service was more than satisfying and polite. We had a great champagne afternoon tea, with lovely scones and cakes. I am a traditionalist and quite appreciated the building. The whole stay was a memorable experience and we would definately go back.
L. E.
Splendid hotel experience. The Waldorf Hilton is located closely to several musical venues. Walking distance to Trafalgar Square. The room was clean but a little small. It had some cool art and we like the bathroom. The view was nothing special. The breakfast was very good regarding the quality of the food and the selection, but there was some waiting time as this is a busy hotel.
D. J.
I've only had Afternoon Tea here however my experience was lovely. Fresh sandwiches and cakes, nicely displayed and very delicious. The portions of jam and cream (and prosecco!) are generous and they have a range of specialist teas to choose from. The Hotel staff are very friendly and professional and the overall place looks very luxury indeed
W. S.
My Girlfriend and I visited for dinner, which was 3 courses and a glass of champagne. The service was excellent, the waiters and waitresses were quite good at giving you space but being nearby if needed. The food was beautiful, excellently cooked and very attractively presented. After dinner we headed to the Bar and had a couple of cocktails which again were very good. We had a fabulous time and would definitely go again.
C. D. -. A.
The Waldorf has charm, great location, and excellent, friendly service. It exceeded expectations! Wonderful breakfast, too.
J. M.
Price doesn't correspond the service and name.
1. Not even a bottle of water in the room
2. Unsteady matress
3. Very poor brackfast
4. Very poor/slow service in restaurant, servants all the time dropped smt, no glovrs or mask at all...
5. And etc...
So, im VERY dissapointed.
M. S.
Fantastic hotel with friendly staff. The location was fantastic for the theatre, only 5 minutes from the Savoy theatre. They even treated us to a cake to celebrate my Birthday. The room we had was a queen suite on the 7th floor. It was clean quiet and comfortable.
S. R.
The staff is beyond friendly and helpful here and the location can’t be beat! The rooms are nice and quiet but we found the bed to be quiet hard and had a few minor other things that prevented a perfect 5 stars. We would definitely stay here again for a stay in London.
S. F.
From the moment I walked in the door the service at the hotel was incomparable. The location was perfect- in a central location it allowed me to walk where I needed to go or catch the bus right down the road from the hotel. The lounge was very nice, as was the fitness room. The interior design and architecture was gorgeous. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
One of the best hotel stays.
R. A.
This used to be a nice hotel. It's under renovation so if you are lucky you'll get a room that has been renovated and is nice now. The rooms are smaller than expected for London but generally quite nice. The service is generally good. The gym and pool is much better than you would expect for a hotel pool and gym.
C. W.
Very clean and very nice rooms.
A. W.
Noisy! I cannot recommend this hotel. Checked in for a week on 6/12 and had to check out on 613 because a wedding reception had loud music blaring into our room.. Also when I complained I was lied to several times, " Its almost over, it will be over at 11". I had to put up with loud music past midnight!
See other reviews about noise. Management did not care, and my credit card was charged more than a nights stay!
H. H.
A la carte food was excellent, fixed menu was good, though I would go a la carte in future. Service brilliant as you would expect. The pork belly - amazing! Bar was nice with live music and very relaxing. Washroom facilities could be better.
R. A.
The setting for afternoon tea was fabulous- the staff were friendly and there was an excellent harpist playing which created a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately we had several flies landing on our cakes and buzzing around the whole time which did put us off and we decided not to eat some of the cakes due to this. The food was tasty but not the best afternoon tea I have had.
J. C. E. M.
Rooms quite small, staff were amazing, no cold water so couldn't have cold showers etc, cheese and crackers room service was old and stale but refunded and replaced. Beds quite firm. Breakfast was okay, avoid pastries as small, dry and way too hard the rest was fine. Staff very attentive, enthusiastic and perfect in all regards from reception and engineering to restuarant and services.
T. R.
Each year we are asked by the Waldorf to create Bespoke Christmas trees and decorations which fall in line with their high standards. It is an honour to do this and every year we have guest give us applause when the trees are finished. this has now become a yearly tradition for us and the Waldorf. We love working here and staying here too. The staff are friendly and the location is perfect. this historic Hotel is worth the stay and especially over Christmas.
M. H.
Used a wowcher voucher and the afternoon tea wasn't any different to the people paying full price. Lovely friendly staff and nothing wasn't to much trouble.
Beautiful building and the room was lovely with a lady playing the harp.would definitely recommend it.
K. B.
Had a lovely early dinner before going to the theatre next door. The hake was superb and the Lemon tart scrumptious! Our waitress Alice was delightful and knowledgeable recommending dishes from the menu and was very attentive. Both my friend and I enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning.
I. W.
Really lovely room, excellent location just a short walk to Leicester Square and Picadilly, even shorter to Covent Garden. Right in the heart of theatre land.
Really friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you
R. H.
Location is excellent, but everything else disappointed for the price. Rooms are small by modern standards but that reflects standards of 1908 when it was built. Service simply not near what I would expect in a similar grade US hotel. Staff enjoying intriguing conversations among themselves and not attending to guests. In lobby bar I had to bother server twice just to come take our order. In the room, the weird shower design practically assured large puddles on the floor and rust marks on walls indicated this was a long-standing issue. Next to toilet was a brush with a holder. The holder was nearly full of brown water....yuck! Come on folks. Common areas of hotel looked a little beat up.
M.
The location of this Hotel is perfect for London's west end theatres, and attractions. The staff offer an exemplary service, from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. The rooms are well equiped, and as you would exspect very comfortable. The breakfast was superb, and definatly caters for the most fastidious palate. The art deco intirior is delightful. Overall I had an excellent stay.
S. S.
Fantastic hotel, got married here 10years ago and it still hasn't lost its grandeur. Location is as good as it gets, walking distance to everywhere you want to be in London.
Staff are extraordinarily friendly, helpful and attentive. Only advice is to get to breakfast early or else you have to queue... but even then they will give you presseco and buns while you wait!
S. S.
Very nice location. Amazing building and an incredible place to stay.
Was not able to use the facilities to their max, but had a lovely stay in a small suite. Which was rather over the top with two TVs. Lovely place to spread out, lots of space, even being in the loft. Only down side is could not see much or the window.
Staff did not stand out as being overly helpful or friendly. Thus loss of star.
C. H.
The location is great and staff is attentive, but they need to pay attention to the details, especially in food service. Delivering soup for room service without a spoon, listing beverages on the menu they don't stock, asking if you want coffee at breakfast and then not bringing it. Two stays ago, the room service staff ate the complimentary biscuits and left the wrappers. Small issues, but it makes a difference at this caliber hotel.
M. L. (.
On our 2nd visit here this year and once again a very good hotel. Excellent rooms cannot fault them. Staff very efficient and friendly. Executive lounge and breakfast don't really cater for vegans however upon request we were made some delicious additions to our breakfast without any fuss.
t. F.
Considering the class of this hotel, it is not that great. The rooms are comfy for sure. But our "flat screen" TV was quite old and the screen scratched. The breakfast was good but did not keep the quality id did a few years ago when I stayed here. The level of service was actually quite poor. Take your money elsewhere.
C. D.
Very nice place for the bar for drinks and food. Staff were fantastic. But the high tea was disappointing. Have been to a few in Asia and Australia and I can honestly say it was the saddest one I have been too. The staff were fantastic but the Decor EG chairs were worn and the sandwiches were served up sad and stale. So for 49 Pounds it's a bit of a rip off 🙄
Y. H.
Arrived for cocktails and the barman spilled two glasses of ice over us as we were sitting at the bar.
Got 5o the room and had to call housekeeping as the bathroom was not clean. They did come and rectify the issues, but should have been right first time
No lift to the 8th floor and had to hold the 7th floor button in one of the lifts otherwise it kept cancelling.
J. O.
Absolutely loved it service surroundings and atmosphere wonderful afternoon tea superb would recommend this experience

The Waldorf Hilton is an elegant property. Built in the early 1900's the building has beautiful crown molding and marble throughout. There is an indoor pool and large workout area.
The food is quite good. Breakfast is abundant with a great number of items on the buffet as well as a la carte options. The executive lounge is comfy and the staff there very helpful.
In all of my interactions with the staff and management I was pleasantly surprised at how warm, courteous, and professional they were. They really make you feel welcome and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I look forward to coming here again.
C. J. A.
Loved the Waldorf Hilton from start to finish, we have never stayed in a hotel so luxurious and beautiful as the Waldorf, nothing was too much trouble. We had Afternoon tea and everything was fantastic. We ate in the Homage restaurant with champagne, utterly decadent.
J. G.
Stayed for 4 nights. Incredibly good service from the employees, they really made you feel welcome.
Great rooms, with nice bathrooms.
Located in the theater area, which is very central. A great place to stay if you are planning on seeing London.

Lovely hotel in unbeatable location! The rooms are all updated and modern although some can be a bit smaller. The breakfast and tea room are eloquent and definitely worth enjoying a meal in. And importantly, you’re just about a 10 minute walk from many great London attractions.

Good hotel but undergoing renovations to the outside. Facilities are good. Trading on past glory ? Perhaps. Good but for the prices not great. However, still recommend. …

I stayed here with my fiancé during the facade restoration. There was supposed to be a glaze on our bathroom window so workers could not see in, however there was not. There are no curtains or blinds in the bathroom either. While she was showering, she could see a man right outside our bathroom window. Expressing my frustration to the front desk, I feel they did not respond in an appropriate manner to the situation.
If it were not for this, we would have given this hotel a positive review.

Lovely hotel, very central
J. D.
As expected... a lot of detail is put into the rooms with stylish finishing. The tv speakers in the bathroom is a classy touch too. Good experience, really helpful hotel staff, central location in the west end, great transport links with a busstop right by the entrance (buy a travel card and make ur life easier!) Walking down to the lobby and seeing the vintage style piano-singer performance was the cherry on top. What a thoughtful approach to hoteling!

My partner and I had cocktails and bar snacks for my birthday here. The staff were warm and friendly, especially George. The service was excellent and the cake I was presented with was a lovely surprise.
As a wheelchair user, I found the facilities easy to navigate.

A convention type hotel that seems past its glory days. Service is slow. Executive Lounge, while nice enough, had a mediocre breakfast and had trouble keeping up with basics such as replenishment of clean plates and mugs and cleaning up. No candy or treat at turn down, which is a nice touch at high end hotels. Too many better choices in London to visit here again

Brought my mum to the bar here for her birthday. We were trying to go somewhere else but needed a quick escape from the rain. Had a wonderful time and did not regret that we didn’t get to the other place. Great service, lovely atmosphere, tasty cocktails and a cozy respite from the sudden downpour.

The Waldorf is a large, popular, well situated hotel in the centre of London’s theatre district.
It’s not perfect but if you approach understanding its issues you can have a good stay.
By far the most striking aspect of the hotel is that it’s very busy, thanks to Hilton branding, but unfortunately understaffed. This was evident on multiple aspects which I will cover.
Check in is efficient however being an older building you can’t rely on room pictures when booking. I saw 3 different rooms all of the same grade “executive king”. Each room had different size, layout and aesthetic. If you have particular needs ie roll away bed or space for interviews (my needs) then it’s best to address this early, before booking.
Status is unlikely to result in upgrade as the rooms are just booked out.
Diamond status does afford access to the executive lounge but again this place is swarmed at peak times: breakfast and evening drinks. Often there is no seating and the food runs out. One is the main factors to this problem is that the lounge is understaffed, undercatered, and swamped with the fact that ‘Diamond’ is not nearly as exclusive as you’d imagine.
Solutions: Evening drinks? Arrive early and steak out your territory. Aim for breakfast downstairs. It’s the same food and it doesn’t run out!
(Sausages, eggs, bacon, cold cuts fruit and pastries- standard breakfast really)
Rooms are functional, clean and bigger than many of the similar offerings in London. Cleaning was patchy. Again understaffed so guest rooms are not as high a priority as cleaning rooms for incoming guests. Latest our room was cleaned was about 7pm and one day, not at all.
Standard tea and coffee but of no milk. Really Britain, really?
Pleasant toiletries. Standard messages to save the earth with concurrent overpacking of soap in cardboard and plastic.
The aircon was hit and miss. It was not coping with the summer heat.
If you have disability please let the hotel know before you arrive. The hallways are long and there are stairs everywhere. Luggage must be hand carried as there are not ramps for carts. If you are in a wheelchair you may struggle with many aspects of the hotel however they do have chair lifts and will do all they can to allow access.
Pricing was good for a longer stay. For a shorter stay I would have probably considered a different hotel however location is excellent. Plenty of food, entertainment, shopping and transport makes this a great base camp.
It comes down to how much time you’ll be in the hotel and what you expect from a hotel.
Tip of the hat to the staff who have been amazing, friendly and helpful even when dealing with frustrate guests. Solid 4 star hotel.

Booked the Snow White afternoon tea. They had a separate alcove specially decorated to fit the theme. Lovely decor, some props left lying around to take photos with, a dedicated waiter who was lovely. The food was honestly the best afternoon tea selection I've had (and I'm a very fussy eater) though I wasnt fond of the desert (which looked amazing). Really enjoyed the poison apple dry ice presentation too. Fully recommend a visit before it ends.

Our family stayed a week in Hilton Waldorf. I reserved a two double bed or a superior room with a Main Street view almost a year in advance. After a late check-in because our room wasn't ready, we got into a small room with beds attached with no room between them with no view. After multiple calls and getting ignored, the front desk promised changing the room in few days because the hotel is full and no vacancy for the room that we were promised a year in advance. Also promised to get a discount. Our room never got available and hotel denied the promised discount. During the checkout, I got an option to charge in dollars or pounds. I noticed the dollar exchange rate was about 4% over that day's market exchange rate. I asked being charged in pound and I signed the credit card charge in pounds. I thought I'm going getting charged in ponds but I was charged in dollar on the fraudulent exchange rate. I would have never expected to get scammed by Hilton. Thinking such a reputable chain hotel would never treat a customer like that. Keep your guards up and don't trust the name.

Visited for a non - res breakfast .. What great service-the breakfast host here deserves honourable mention . She went above and beyond to explain all our options and was such a great part of the whole experience.
Lovely room, good hot /cold choices... Definitely recommended

This hotel matches up to it's name. Superbly located within walking distance of covent garden and the theatre district. The building in itself is striking and authentically historical. All amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
Staff are helpful, professional and friendly.
I was fully rewarded for my Hilton honours loyalty with a stay in one of their Astor suite. Just superb.
Would most certainly stay here again.
C. A.
Very impressed! Worth looking for a deal if you can find one x Top floor Queen room. Quiet, nicely presented and spacious. Bars and restaurants all very good. Lovely Afternoon Tea too. Staff very helpful and attentive.
F. d. Z.
Very disappointed, room average, safe didn't work, Wi-Fi wouldn't connect. Bar was good and bar tender very knowledgeable. Left my phone charger in room, was shocked it wasn't handed in by room cleaners, not very honest. Attitude of lost and found amounted to 'tough' 😩
J. D.
I would give three and a half stars for the hotel itself, and to rank the super friendly staff only, I would give them a 4,5 (half a star less because they are a tick too slowly...)!
Why did I leave a 3 then?
It was just missing so many basic things in the room itself and we got a junior suite!
Plus, we found dust in the bathroom. 😐
G. C. H.
Such a beautiful venue the food is just gorgeous both to look at and to eat the staff were polite and attentive would recommend

Overall very satified with the stay at this hotel.

Quite an old hotel. The rooms were nice but not great. The floors in the room or very very squeaky. For the price I think there are better hotels in the area. The staff was incredible and very helpful. unless you get the breakfast buffet with your room it is not worth the 25 pounds a person. In visiting London it is in a perfect spot location for visiting all the great things to see in London.
V. B.
On arrival we found dirty laundrey Pants and socks left in the wardrobe. We could not access the business centre and neither could the staff in the master key. This was after several attempts at the staff putting our cards through their system. Staff couldn’t care less.
Not impressed. Poor customer service
M. P.
For the price of the room this was bang average. Clean and tidy but rooms are very dated and old fashioned. Bed not particularly comfortable. Bar area was very good and staff were attentive and friendly but overall not worth the money.. Stayed in better hotels in London.
M. e.
Great Hotel. Great location. Room was very comfortable and clean. Restaurant was good. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Enjoyed our stay.
D. R.
Excellent location, Greated by a doorman with a smile, staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They will call a cab or make a reservation for you. The bar has a good selection of wines beers and spirits at London price's!! very clean hotel and the double rooms are nice and spacious. Great water pressure on the shower. Breakfast has a broad selection for you to choose from, hot cold, continental etc. The bar area is a nice social space for drinks and the restaurant has a good selection and nice atmosphere. *****

Unfortunately this isnt good feedback. I expected the Waldorf to have higher standards than the service we received here. There is a huge lack of communication with the staff here. Our last day here went as followed:
1. We requested on 3 different occasions today December 2nd 2019 for our room to be cleaned. It was never cleaned. Totally unacceptable for the Waldorf.
2. We were in our room this morning and roughly around 1030am an extremely loud alarm went off and a red light was flashing. It alarmed my wife and she was trying to rest because she was feeling Ill... I opened the door and the housekeeper said sorry it was just a test. we would have appreciated being informed of this test instead of being alarmed/startled.
3. We went to the front desk to arrange breakfast for 430am delivery because our airport transfer is at 0550am. The guy was clueless and said that its not possible. He then said we may be able to get fruit. We then asked for coffee to atleast be delivered at that time. Again he was absolutely clueless and said he didn't think it was possible. I thought this was the Waldorf? Am I supposed to inconvenience myself when I stay here or are you guys supposed to convenience your guest in every way possible ? he told us we should eat somewhere out of the hotel before we leave for the airport. He then made a phone call and advised us to fill out the breakfast card in our room and that they MIGHT be able to fulfill our request. I'm sorry but I need definite answers. That to me was unacceptable and made me worry about how my morning leaving the property is gonna go. I was extremely upset and disappointed on my last day here. I can assure you that it will indeed be my last time staying here. I've informed guest services. Next time ill save money and stay at a regular Hilton and they will probably treat me better.
There were some fine gentlemen working in the lobby who made me feel at home but that didnt outweigh all the negative things .
Regards, Nabeel Munim

WOW.. really enjoyed this stay at the Hilton. Close to the entertainment district.. and excellent staff. The room was wonderful and the lounge was my nightly escape! Breakfast was so busy so no matter what they do, don't let them sit you in the bar.. hold out for the main dining room.
I will say that I was not impressed with the restaurant at night. Kind of Meh.. Blah.. You are in London after all.. go eat at a restaurant!
Cheers!
A. C.
Excellent reception staff, very very helpful. Amazing bar and staff with good selection. Good breakfast although staff a little on slow side. Hotel is beautiful and room was luxurious. Would highly recommend
C. P.
I booked afternoon tea here for my partner and I. When I booked, I made sure to include my allergy. When I was greeted, the front desk person noted that there was an allergy and said that she would make sure this information was relayed to the server. 3/4 of the way through tea, my server came up and said, "I was just told there was an allergy at this table. How serious is it because I've served you several items with it in there..."
It immediately ruined the experience. I had done my part to ensure I would have a pleasant experience. They dropped the ball. While my allergies don't cause anaphylaxis, they're unpleasant enough for me to note them when making a booking and double-checking. Still, it fell through the cracks here. Had it been something serious, then you can see where this would be a problem.
What made it more troubling is that the server failed to notify a manager. I had to speak to one on the way out. He gave me his card and said he'd follow up with me. But he never did. I even reached out to see if they had done anything to help prevent this from happening again. No response.
Health concerns are important. And no experience is worth a staff that neglects them.
K. T.
Good hotel in a great location. Service can be hit or miss with staff trying to make their lives easier rather than find the right solution for the customer. Cost cutting has gone too far and is now very noticeable with even the juice at breakfast tasting watered down some days.

On 24 August we arrived at this hotel for the experience of the 'Waldorf Tea' our group was booked for 3pm. We eagerly waited to enter the restaurant only to find the hotel had double booked our time slot. After a lot of discussion with management another time was offered for the following day at 1pm. As we had already booked another tour for the next day we waited until 4.45 to be squeezed into a corner. The 'tea' arrived minus the finger sandwiches, which I had to ask for, just 5 tired looking scones and some fancy cakes. We were not offered any champagne which everyone else seemed to be drinking, so our personal celebration was a bit lacking, the harpist had even left the room! Breakfast the following morning was equally chaotic, the manager, whom I spoke to a few times, was surprised that so many guests wanted breakfast. There was a lack of toasting bread, porridge, butter and fried eggs. Did they not know how many guests were staying? The staff were reacting somewhat to requests but no one was actually looking and being pro-active. A disappointing experience for us.

Clean, quiet and well apointed. The staff are friendly helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is lovely and the coffee some of the best I've had in london.
The hotels fitness center and pool is an arrangement with the Fitness First next door so can be a bit busy.
A. D.
We had afternoon tea and it was everything we hoped for. Fabio, our waiter was very attentive and absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend
J. H.
From the moment we arrived, the doorman had a smile. The front desk was so helpful getting extra pillows and offering help to pick up our laundry. The concierge found us taxis and tickets to a show. When we come back to London we will return to the Astoria.
Z. D.
Afternoon tea was superb and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.
I was treated to a stay here with my aunt and nan for a trip to the Lycium theatre which is no more than a two minute walk away. From the outside the hotel is lovely to look at. Inside a standard hotel check in but with extremely polite and helpful staff. Bags are taken to the room for you by the luggage staff. We had a room with a double and a sofa bed. I had the sofa bed and it was large and robust just like a standard double. Good quality linen and pillows provided. I can not tell you how comfy the bed was. If I could have brought it home with me I could have but I'm not Ross from Friends!
Room was as standard which is what loses a star as from what I can see the cost of a night's stay is VERY expensive.
We had access to the executive suit which was really good. Comfortable chairs, complimentary magazines and access to unlimited complimentary top quality branded tea/coffee/coke glass bottles/orange juice and more. This was where we had breakfast the next morning and there was a full selection of unlimited cooked breakfast/continental,cereals and fruit. Top marks for the brekkie.
We also had the afternoon tea which was really lovely. Excellent choice of teas, fab sandwiches and gorgeous sweets

We tried to book a meal on a Sunday and was amazed to find that only the bar is open for Sunday lunch - we thought this was a five star hotel, silly us. We didn't fancy propping up the bar ! - We guess the hotel makes my money from afternoon tea's ! - so anyway we booked Claridge's where they have all-day dinning.

WOW! I had booked 4 people for the 'free flowing afternoon tea' via bookatable for my Nanas 85th birthday and after reading some reviews I was a little nervous. But we were not disappointed at all and I would certainly recommended this venue and the Afternoon Tea.
We arrived just after 2pm and the room was already busy but we were seated very quickly and after a short wait our tea order was taken and a glass of champagne brought to each of us. Yes we did have to wait a little while for our sandwiches and cake but afternoon tea shouldn't be rushed and each waiter was bale to gave his/her table their undivided attention. The harpist played such a variety of old and new songs and it really helped with the ambience of the room.
If our glasses needed refilling we just asked (instead of waiting) as the staff were busy. All the sandwiches tasted beautiful and our favorites were the salmon blini and coronation wheel. The scones where light and the perfect size as we each had 2 each (1 fruit & 1 plain) plus 4 small cakes, which again were light and tasted great. We couldn't finish all the cakes so asked for a box so we could take them home as there was no way we were leaving them behind.
From start to finish all the staff we spoke to were very friendly and attentive and the service was impeccable. My Grandmother uses a wheelchair and we were assisted by the doorman all the way through to the room and again everyone was so friendly.
D. R.
Went for dinner. The main course was nice, atmosphere was great. I didn't particularly like the starters or desserts on offer but that is personal taste. The only complaint is that fit the money, the portion sizes are very small.
T. S. M. U.
It's one of the flagships so unsurprisingly the service was impeccable. The room I stayed in was lovely and spacious, light and airy (nice change to other Hilton branches with dim and dull rooms). Look forward to being able to stay again in the future
S. R.
Hotel is old and the room decor dated., clean and comfy though. We waited over an hour in our room for the kids sofa bed to be made and then get a kettle to make them a hot drink. Not acceptable. And appalling at £500 a night. My wife ended up taking the cups down to reception to beg for hot water. Put a real dampener on our otherwise pleasant weekend away. Not returning. Awful.
D. K.
Shower not working. Confusion over breakfast.
C. S.
In the heart of theatre district. Excellent service by all the friendly staff. Restaurants close by with lots of options. Bus and cab service steps outside the door. Tour buses at the next corner. Beautiful rooms well kept. Glad we booked it and would use again when opportunity presents.
J. N.
Wonderful afternoon tea, we had an initial problem with the bill but after we queried it was reduced by nearly £40 to the price we had been quoted on line. The choice of teas were very good and the pastries and scones were excellent quality -a very good treat for a special occasion.
S. B.
A friend and I had afternoon tea here on Sunday and were excited about the 'unlimited champagne' deal we had. Our experience, however, was disappointing. We were seated quickly by the front desk staff but then waited for over 20 minutes before a waiter came over to take our order. Other tables around us were also waiting at various stages of their tea. The couple beside us gave up on their glasses of water after they had asked twice.
Champagne was served, then the sandwiches/cakes etc. One hour in we had to ask whether we could order tea since we hadn't been asked what we wanted. Champagne was not topped up voluntarily, we had to ask repeatedly. Bread for the sandwiches seemed like it had been left out in the air for a while and the scones were under baked.
For the expense of afternoon tea you pay for the experience and the service, as well as the food and drink. We felt slightly ill paying for the 12.5% service charge!
Ambiance and setting were great and we really enjoyed the harp music in the background. This didn't make up for the poor service however. There are definitely better spots for afternoon tea in London.
L. A.
I can't comment on the rooms, but the afternoon tea here is very nice. Staff are attentive, there is a good selection of sandwiches as well as cakes and other deserts. There could be a better selection of tea but the tea on offer is lovely.
S. M.
We stopped in the brasserie at the Walworth Hotel for supper before going on to the theatre. I liked the ordering method where you choose each element of your meal. On the whole I enjoyed the food, my only disappointment being that I had hoped the skin on my cod would be rather crispier. The service could not be faulted.

My husband and I paid for his parents to have an overnight stay complete with a champagne tea at the Waldorf in London. Their feedback is as follows: From the moment we stepped out of the cab we were made to feel so special by the Waldorf staff. To be greeted by a bowing concierge (complete with bowler hat) was not something they had experienced before. The reception staff were welcoming and charming. This continuity of service was carried on in the Homage Room where they enjoyed a sumptuous high tea with Mumms champagne. They then checked in to the Queen Superior room. They said the were blown away by the room. It was immaculately clean, had a wonderful bathroom and facilities such as bathrobes and a mini bar. Their bags were delivered to their room. They took in ameal and a show. After an amazingly comfortable night they enjoyed a stunning breakfast before checking out. We would sincerely thank all the staff for making them feel welcome and pampered (and they felt that nothing was too much trouble). It was a truly wonderful experience for them. The Waldorf is just incredible.
B. B.
Good location for tourists. My room was small but beautifully appointed and very recently renovated. Great gym and swimming pool (albeit could be busy as it's also a regular members gym). I found it very odd that there was no bellman on the door when I arrived - not only that but I (and several others) had to buzz for entry - it was only 11pm. Not a great first impression: that's the sort of thing I'd expect of one of the 2 star places around Victoria, not a 5 star carrying the Waldorf brand. But overall, a good choice if the price is right.
I. E.
We went for a "Groupon" offer of afternoon tea. The staff were very accommodating since there were 10 participants, accompanied by 4 children. Starting with a glass of champagne to accompany the savoury course, we then chose our teas from the menu. A replen of the savouries was offered before the plates were cleared on preparation for the cakes and scones. These were delivered on a tiered cake stand between 2, with plenty of calories per person. The chef had gone the extra mile today, with both a "Wimbledon" and a "Pride" themed pastry.
Users of Groupons will be well aware that a service charge will be added to the final bill. This can detract from the apparent saving, but in this case, we were so well looked after that it was not an issue to simply cough up.
A great treat for all concerned.
J. F.
Excellent service throughout my stay. Superb room and facilities in a quiet part of the hotel as requested at time of booking. Oh - and the cocktails are rather good too! Thoroughly recommended.
B. G.
Hotel is everything you would expect from an historic Waldorf. The staff are exceptional, the building is majestic and centrally located, and the rooms are well-maintained, quaint, and charming, even if small and a bit dated. A tour guide told us that the hotel was designed by the same person that designed the Titanic, which (regardless of its truth) accurately describes the hotel - the building is really the main attraction as the Queen room felt like a small bedroom on a luxurious ship. We paid extra for access to the executive club and that also compensated for the size of the room. There were lots of food options and grocery stores nearby the hotel and the main London attractions were easily reached by foot, bus, or car; though the Tube was not as close. Concierge was very helpful as well. I would certainly recommend this hotel, especially for a short stay in the heart of London.
s.
When I review, I'm usually very pleased with what I review, but when staying in The Waldorf Hilton London, I never really enjoyed myself at all. We were a family of 5 and they just wouldn't let us stay in the same room. They offered us rooms on the same level but they were at different ends of the corridor! In the room, there were two beds. One that looked like it could fit 3 people easily and the other fitting 2 but 'we had to be in different rooms' 😞. Food was ok and so was the pool but overall. 1.5 of 5
R. B.
Have stayed at this location multiple times and always enjoy my time at this location. The location is absolutely perfect and just a short walk from Covent Garden and the Strand. Also, they have a great executive lounge and staff is very friendly. Highly recommend and will stay here again!!
P. R.
Definitely need to focus on cleaning the rooms a bit more. There was a hair ball on my carpet for the entire week I was there, and was not my hair. Another hair stuck on the makeup mirror (which I luckily don't need) again there all week. Fuzz balls in the corners. Couch that needs some cleaning and TLC. For some reason the 2 different TVs had different channels? Elevators are small, slow and too few. Breakfast in the lounge was incredibly uninspired. Location is great.
P. O. t.
Room was lovely, very clean and just as expected. Breakfast was horrendous! Very little food at the buffet; tables not cleared so we were directed to the buffet whilst one was hastily cleared but there were no glasses or crockery available. We had to ask several times for additional crockery to be provided at which point staff merely counted the number of people asking for a plate and handed them out - bit like being back at school!
R. T.
We had a King Deluxe Premium room (or some jibber jabber like that). The room was a good size, but we had a view of a wall. The bathroom didn't have a plug for the hair dryer so had to dry my hair over the desk. The bed was made very sloppy. Concierge & bellmen were all very nice. Access to the gym downstairs was really cool, though we didn't get to take advantage of it during our visit. Towels were wrinkled & hung lazily. Just didn't seem up to par.
Given the Waldorf name & the upgrade package we purchased I expected a bit of a nicer experience.
F. g.
Lovely bar area, comfy seats, nice decoration and atmosphere, Very attentive Staff, good selection of cocktails as well as custom made recommendations. Just a shame there was too much noise to properly hear the live piano and singer.
C. G.
I’m a regular guest at this hotel,great location,nice rooms,clean,just one complain;
Was expecting a delivery from Fed ex,name and room number specified on the address, the package was refused from the hotel!
Left the country and spent a lot of time tracking down the package to have it delivered somewhere else.
Little disappointed about that!
K. F.
We had an afternoon tea at the restaurant and it was average. The sandwiches were lacking in filling, and creativity. The scones and clotted cream were quite nice, although we had to ask for a second serving of clotted cream, which they were happy to supply. The tea was just loose leaf Twinings, nice selection though. All in all, overpriced for what we got.
A. L.
Great location! Clean! Welcoming! Only suggestion would be to extend pool hours to 9pm. Would have been great after all day of walking. Fitbit tracked 14 miles a day! Legs felt it! Would recommend this hotel! They take pride in the details! From lobby to room.
H. S.
The staff were lovely and helpful, and the cocktail bar is fabulous. The room was on the 7th floor, overlooking the back. It was a smoking room, and definitely smelt like it. The sheet had a big rip in it, and the facilities in the room looked very dated and tired. When I used the toilets bear the gym the decor there looked old, with parts falling off the wall, and the stairs back up needed a good hoover and a clean.
Convenient location, but for the price you expect better, *much* better. We had dinner booked at Kaspers at the savoy, walking in there was a much more pleasant experience, stunning, and what I would have expected at the Warldorf!
K. W.
Terrific staff, impeccable service, small yet perfect rooms with little to no noise (6th floor). While there wasn't any temperature control, it simply wasn't needed. Bed was very comfortable, and when I asked for hypoallergenic pillows, on the off chance that they might have them, a staff member arrived at my door with two in hand.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in central London.
N. C.
Great location and good helpful staff. Doing ok with current covid situation. Pool is a nice bonus and relatively large gym.
J.
Beautiful rooms with a ton of amenities including a heated drying rack for your damp possessions--essential for any stay in London. The shower faucet is like a steam punk fusion of an old-timey telephone and a bunch of levers. Took about a minute of staring to sort out. Concierge and staff helpful, friendly. Would absolutely stay again.
N. S.
Helpful friendly and obliging staff. However, despite suggested refurbishment the rooms are tired with chipped counters, dilapidated cupboards and closets. Outrageously expensive for what it delivers. Poor value for money.
C. C.
Had booked a room for my wife and i to see a show in London, i am a Hilton Honors member so booked through them. Greeting at the hotel was very good and the room on the 8th Floor was lovely. One of my disappointment was breakfast, which was in the Palm Terrace which had no atmosphere and needed a bit of painting & decorating. The breakfast was poor, I had expected something much better, the eggs had been sat for a long time and had gone plastic. The orange juice was empty and i had to ask the waiters 3 times before anything was changed.
Lastly after our evening show we returned to the Good Godfrey's bar for a cocktail. We had a Strawberry TuTu & a Martini, both awful, i drank mine anyway and asked for just a gin & tonic which was very good. (£54 for 3 drinks, 2 of which we didn't like - WOW)
We will not be staying at the Waldorf again and will try The Trafalgar
at St James, Hotel next time.
(Shame really as the rest of our weekend get away was perfect)
J. B.
About the only plus to this hotel is the location. Front desk and executive club staff are also very nice, but I find most of the "service" mostly lip service. The building old, oddly partitioned and in need of more than the purely cosmetic refurb they have done in the last years. Rooms are very hit or miss with little control over whether you get something perfectly fine (but never outstanding) or outright tiny and miserable. This trip work up to repeated banging on the roof (the bonus of staying on the top floor) which took 3 calls to the front desk to even acknowledge what was going on. Once assured it would be short lived, I finally gave up on a leisurely morning and left. Was still going on when I returned 4 hours later.
H. D.
We had afternoon tea which was amazing! Apart from a little blip with a price and the bar management we had a fab edge room. Big shout out to Sven the barman! He was awesome! Informative and absolutely lovely!!!! Xxx
J. L.
This place was a let down. The closet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a decade. There were layers of dirt and dust stuck to things. The carpet was filthy inside and outside the room. You could hear people in the hallway and the floors creaked everywhere. The bathroom was an okay size and mostly clean. The tv was big enough. The elevator situation was not good. It was always busy and they're small. I almost always had to take the stairs.
D. L. L.
highly recommended that hotel.....had a great time ...
C. G. C.
Very run down hotel, service is slow, the room was not clean when we checked in. Room size was good but we were upgraded. The location is good though. Having stayed at other waldorf's this was a let down.the air conditioning was excellent.
L. B.
Old school luxury. The breakfast salon is amazing, and very nice choices. The bed very confortable and the shower the best!! A/C unit a bit dated, not very powerful. Very attentive staff.
S. D.
Service was good, but a little slow. We also had to remind them of our dietary that we had phoned ahead. But both were minor things, the staff were very polite and friendly and couldn't do enough for you and the tea and sandwiches were great.
D. S.
I was on a conference here and liked the place. The conference rooms were nice, comfy, good sound and visual. Also the staff were pleasant and helpful.
Do not know about the rooms but organising an event there for sure is 5 stars.

My wife and I came to Waldorf Hilton to celebrate our anniversary.
It was a wonderful experience.
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Radel and Sunny the doorman are exceptionally helpful.
We even got an upgrade to an executive room and without asking, as a diamon member .
The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is modern with great water pressure.
The Hotel is centrally located.
Highly recommended.

Fabulous atmosphere, went to the cocktail bar for my goddaughters birthday. Great service and smashing cocktails. Would be great to have seen the live music

The hotel staff is incredibly helpful and friendly!! We loved that the doorman wears a bowler hat. The rooms were clean but we were glad that we booked 2 rooms for our family of 4 because they are small by US standards. The beds were very comfortable and everything in the room functioned well for us. They do also have USB ports which was very nice!! You can find a Starbucks and Pret A Manger within a block walking distance plus the Duke of Wellington Pub is across the corner and has delicious British food. We would definitely stay at the Waldorf Hilton again!

The Waldorf special Christmas' present to us was a pair of dirty knickers in one of the bathrobe pocket! The reception supervisor apologised and offered 30% discount on the cost for the night we had spent in a not very clean bedroom /bathroom and were moved to another bedroom. Christmas lunch was disappointing. The lady at the table next to ours was in tears and stormed out of the restaurant with her husband half way through their meal and another one sent the turkey back to the kitchen 3 times! Such a shame as we stayed in that hotel previously and were so impressed by the room and service that we decided to spend our Christmas there.

In spite of being a long time Hilton Honors member, I was given a room on the 7th floor. It was like it was in the attic with only a small port hole style window. No view of anything. Bathroom was nice but not the room you would expect for the high prices charged by this hotel.

It is near the theater district with lots of attractions within walking distance. The front desk is very helpful but the breakfast staff seemed rush. The rooms are nice though as with all European hotels it is difficult to cool down the room.

So ye olde world. Such a shame having all the scaffolding "rebuilding 115yrs of history" around it. Inside is like stepping into the 1920-1940's. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The disabled wet room was excellant. Looking forward to going again next year.

Fantastic central location to the theatre's for all the shows and many restaurants around. The hotel is very welcoming and staff very friendly a nd helpful. Room was lovely and very spacious and bathroom very well equipt with toiletries. Really enjoyed my stay

Check in to check our & everything in between was perfect, the staff, afternoon tea, the concierge staff, door personel, the room was always perfect (heated towel rack) as well as spotless, the lounge, The Parrott, everythingvwas fantastic. The hotel was the highlight of our London trip. Thank youbtobthevstaff

What a beautiful hotel! It certainly could use some updates but it’s stunning and has a charm about it. The staff is top-notch. 🙌🏽

This hotel is a real gem in the theatre district of London. Try and get a room with breakfast included. It is a great deal to have the breakfast included, it is good value and the meal is delicious. Breakfast in London is hard to get, and this is a great way to start out your day. The other option is to get an executive room with lounge access, that works too. The gym and pool are great for a hotel in London. One of my favourite spots in London!

Wow. What can I say. Our London expirence has been unreal all because of the Waldorf Hilton and there amazing staff! The hotel is just breathtaking, clean and luxurious and the staff were so friendly and always available to help right away. The pool was gorgeous and the gym well kept and well updated. Room service was instant. You order and you get within 10 minutes maximum! Absolutely NO COMPLAINTS with this hidden gem in this amazing Aldwych location. Definitely coming back here without any hesitation.
Thank you again Waldorf for a wonderful experience!

Generally very good. I arrived late morning and my room wasn't yet ready - fair enough - however they promised to contact me when a room became available and they didn't. I had to ask, to find that rooms had since become available and I was left waiting. In itself not enough to complain about.
The room I was given on the 7th floor was very cold and the heating didn't work properly. The hot water in the bath needed to be run alone (ie without mixing with cold) to be warm enough for a shower. The backlighting on the vanity mirror was faulty and flickering. The remote for the tv in the anteroom didn't work and the remote for the tv in the bedroom unintentionally activated the anteroom tv together with the main one.
Great location and very courteous staff. But ensure your room is what you're expecting.

Very disappointed. Was a birthday celebration for a friend. Had to ask for more tea. Not once did any one come to our table to ask if everything was ok. Asked for a few more sandwiches and was told she would have to check with the manager. I have been for many afternoon teas The Ritz, The Savoy . At other teas always the tea was refilled and offered more sandwiches. A service charge was added to the bill. Was not happy in paying this. Was kept waiting ages to pay the bill, and ages on waiting for our change from the bill. Very disapointed would nit recommend.

I stayed a week there and found the level of service to be generally good. My towel heater wasn't working and nobody fixed the situation until I called the front desk. But other than that this is quite a pleasant hotel with a wonderful location close to the theaters.
Having said this, one incident really upset me. On Saturday I checked out of and paid for room 321 using my overseas credit card. When the receptionist processed my card payment, she had simply pressed Enter without consulting me on which currency I wanted to use. I asked her twice if I was being charged in sterling pounds and twice she assured me this was so. After looking over the receipt and still unclear about this, I checked with my friends at the airport. That's when I could confirm she had picked my national currency on my behalf.
This is upsetting. This means I potentially paid more money than I should and also have lost my credit card points for overseas purchases. I have stayed a week in your hotel so we are talking about quite a sum.
I do think you need to coach your receptionist to always ask your guests which currency they want to use. They are not in a position to decide on the guest's behalf. Remember that when I had double checked with her - literally - twice I had been assured I had paid in British pounds. Clearly this was misrepresentation.
I left this same feedback a day ago on your Facebook page but there has been no response.

The hotel looks smart in it's art deco style. However for a marketed 'luxury' hotel it certainly does not warrant 4 or 5 stars! Sink was blocked, had to search high and low for hairdryer (not in usual locations), there was no bin in bedroom. Bit disappointing that the small things were not given enough attention. Sorry but just having robes in wardrobe is not enough to call it luxury.

Quite disappointed by this visit. The room had no atmosphere and quite lifeless.
The presentation of food was unexceptional, no spoons provided with the cream and jam for the scones. When these were requested we were given just one. Is there a shortage in Hilton land.
Cannot recommend or contemplate a repeat visit.

I don't understand why this hotel gets such good ratings. I have stayed here multiple times over the last years, and I have been disappointed on every stay. I am a diamond Hilton member and a regular at many Hiltons around the world, this one is simply bad. The hotel is very cramped, the rooms are dark and always hot. In wintertime the ac does not cool as "it is switched to heating mode" according to the staff.... The hotel is full of large and small stairs in the hallways which is difficult to navigate with suitcases. As this hotel is in the theatre district almost all the guest are pensioners from all over the UK. This results in endless lines at breakfast. The breakfast room is completely full and has a very small selection. The staff is not friendly and seems to be tired of the overload of complaining old people. The wifi has a dreadful reception and is extremely slow. Avoid, especially if u are traveling on business! Oh.... And 16 pounds for a glass of champagne at breakfast.... Don't rip off these oldtimers Hilton!

Lovely, small cosy bar, with pianist background music playing just outside in the lobby. Service was on our visit S L O W, but that may depend on when you go. Nevertheless enjoyed our pre theatre drink. Will return no doubt soon.

Had the classic afternoon tea, I was really surprised by how filling it was. Couldn’t eat a thing for a few hours later. There was a guy playing the harp by my table which created a nice atmosphere.
The only negative was everyone else got there sandwiches and cakes before me although I got there first but maybe thats just me being extra.
J. H.
Lovely afternoon tea. Relaxing atmosphere with lady playing the harp. Plenty of cakes but could have done with a few more sandwiches. Staff very friendly
K.
Went for gin tasting and cream tea. Our host was very informative and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the event. It was around 2 hours long and in a great space with a pianist playing in the background. Great gift!

Stayed here for the weekend with my wife where we took in a few shows, the hotel is great, the rooms were clean and well equipt. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful, couldn't fault the visit one bit.

I just went in for a quick drink before a show. It's near quite a few theatres. It's clean, tidy, posh and lovely! Obviously quite expensive but it's what you expect from central London. Would like to stay there one day if I get the chance in future.
A. S.
I've stayed at this hotel many times in London. It has always been one of my favorites. This is mainly due to the location as it's close to all the theatres and therefore close to a lot of restaurants as well. It is also really close to Covent Garden which is a great spot for tourists in town. It has a relatively nice cocktail bar in the lobby. The rooms are decent in clean but it is the old British Style hotel rooms that you would expect ncn most places.
K. N.
Reasonable conference venue, food is reasonable, service is reasonable, interior is tired / old but I think that's supposed to have character. For the price, obviously, should be much better, for London, no chance. Overall, it's good to settle for.
K. B.
Service was really slow and we got put at a table behind a pillar. Waiters and waitresses kept forgetting order and took 25mins just to get the tea brought over. The expectations of 5* afternoon tea has been better at other places without the 5* rating. Over priced for the customer service we received.

This review is about the bar only!
We went for some late night drinks in the hotel bar. The selection of beer is poor to start with and they were out of some of the few om the menu. The alternatives offered were pretty bad, and at 5 pounds for a bottle definitely not worth the money.
For late night drinks I would recommend going elsewhere!

Excellently polite and friendly staff, the hotel has built up in an elegant Edwardian style, waving a good atmosphere...very close to the theatres and to Covent Garden.
The fitness centre is huge, the swimming pool's temperature is not cold :-), but the steaming room and the sauna not working well at the last few months.

I have been reading some of the reviews and I have to say this hotel is amazing this is my third time here and have not been disappointed again . They have made me feel very welcome and for my birthday they havr me a cake as well which I have to say was so nice. The room was lovely even better than last time so clean and comfortable. Felt relaxed and chilled Thank you once again waldorf hotel London you are brilliant..

The only negative we have about our stay here is to do with the surly, unfriendly un helpful staff at the DW Fitness first gym and pool. With the exception of the lovely French lady cleaner at the pool area. They let the Waldorf staff down. The rest of our stay was fantastic! Food great, service brilliant, room lovely and bed super comfy. Rose and her wonderful guitarist (sorry forgot his name) were extremely good and after our dinner it was great to sit with drinks and wind down after very busy week. Thankyou Waldorf for an excellent stay and birthday treat that was left in room was very nice touch. We will be back.

A few of us (3) stayed at the Waldorf Hilton in October 2015 for the.NFL series at Wembley.
We had a Hilton executive room which gave us access to the Executive Lounge where complimentary canapes and drinks were served throughout the day. After 6pm, beer wines and spirits were also offered at no extra charge. We visited the executive lounge on several occasions and feel paying extra for an executive room is well worth the.additional spend.
Our room was for the three so was spacious and due to demand that weekend d we were given and accessible room, no real difference to other rooms if anything did have a little more space.
Hotel is in an excellent location, close by to many theatres, shops and cafes. London is accessible by foot, bus or tube from this hotel.
Lovely hotel, staff were helpful, would recommend.

The Waldorf is one of London's most famous and iconic hotels and lives up to everything you would expect from a too London hotel. I visited this time for lunch and everything about the experience was perfect. The food, the service and all the staff were excellent. Not cheap but I felt it was money well spent and I would recommend the Waldorf to anyone.

Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was good. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My only complaints would be that the A.C. didnt get very cold and there are no ice machines (but you can ask for it from room service though)

Cannot fault it. Excellent cream tea with bubbly. Kind, helpful staff and excellent value on a Woucher. We went to celebrate my Daughter's 18th birthday and she said it was her best birthday ever. Thank you all.

Can only give a negative review for an afternoon tea. We called in before to give our allergens and ensured 5 times before we ate it was without our allergens. But their negligence severed me a sandwiches that I requested not to have. Even after a reaction they did not offer any compensation.
I would not recommend The Waldorf Hilton, London if you have any dietary requirements.

Afternoon tea with prosecco on Friday was amazing. Mary the waitress was fabulous to us and nothing was too much trouble for her or the senior staff there. Mary should receive an employee of the month award or similar. Thank you for a lovely experience. Kathy from Liverpool

Fabulous champagne tea served in a lovely environment. A relaxed environment with a harpist playing while you enjoyed your afternoon tea. The room was large and airy with gold laural leaves on the ceiling and large palms adorned the floor.
D. S.
Location is easy to find and central. Hotel has a nice feel to it. Did not stay over night as attending event but AV was of good quality, food was great, size of room also impressive.
I. P.
Beautiful Ewardian hotel in the heart of London. Very good food and service from well-trained staff. Wonderful meeting rooms and function spaces - Palm Court is spectacular. Bedrooms are generally first-rate.
J. H.
Lacklustre hotel overpriced even for central London.
Faded despite recent renovation, room on first floor but felt like the basement with the window almost entirely obstructed by AC ducting. This reduced still further what little natural light there was. Good gym but experience spoiled by nanny state digitised H&S brief despite my only wishing to use the pool. Pool side lethal when wet.
Service non existent and breakfast average and repetitive....Avoid

Really lovely hotel. Friendly staff and great room overlooking Aldwych. The breakfast hall is simply magnificent and breakfast was pretty great too 😋

We had an excellent time at the Waldorf. The room was warm, clean, and welcoming. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you with any questions you may have. The breakfast is exceptional!

Evening about the evening was really wonderful. Very nice and helpful staff. it's something I would love to do again sometime in the future. Thank so very much for everything.

Excellent night stay in a brilliant location. Air conditioned rooms in the summer heat, lots of plug sockets for gadgets, and very peaceful. Friendly team of staff and lovely swimming pool, gym and Executive Lounge. A definite must when visiting London!

Attended the Retail Systems Awards here in June 2021.
Great event in lovely surroundings.

Lovely hotel - currently under renovation. Attended a conference and food and service was excellent. Doorman was very helpful when queried on best way to Hesthrow.

I had stayed previously at the Waldorf Hilton in NY and after a fantastic stay in NY, we decided to stay at the Waldorf in London. My brother and his wife were with us. We were EXTREMELY disappointed!! We got to our room to find it unbelievably hot. Then we noticed one double bed - we had reserved a King bed. I tried to turn the TV on and the remote, which didn't have a back on it, didn't work! When I went down to the desk to complain, I was told that I had a "Standard" room and my brother had reserved a "Deluxe" room. He had a very nice room with a king bed. I guess I never thought that the Waldorf had ANYTHING "standard and for $300/night, I wouldn't have expected this! Make sure when you make reservations, you clarify if you're getting the Waldorf type room or the "cheap" room.
