Really nice hotel, right price. Staff are so friendly. My only gripe was not enough staff at peak times, the deputy hotel manager was serving on the bar with one staff walking around on the floor. I only wanted a ice bucket so asked her....she said you'll have to que at the bar and ask him.....
Also Angela (I think that was her name) was so nice on check out, she asked how our stay in London was, even admired my wife's nails.
Definitely be back, even planning another visit very soon.

It was good but room could have been quieter especially as it was a super room. Lights didn't work in room but the staff easily gave us another room. The bar knowledge was a bit lacking but the staff were friendly. Nice location.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it wasn’t a good experience for it’s price! Rooms are more like 2 stars, nothing special, corridors are not clean full of rubbish, they don’t clean your rooms even if you put out the sign, although staff are helpful, bed is comfortable, seems clean. Door card needed to be replaced every day, because it wasn’t working every time we tried to open the door. It is quite noisy, but if you are really tired, it won’t bother you. Room was in a few places a little but dirty, but overall seemed clean. The location is okay, not too far from airport transfer and city center and there is a grocery store nearby. The price is definitely too high, given these circumstances, For one night it’s okay. Not going to come back here!

Nice room exceptional clean & walk in shower. Staff very friendly and helpful, good choices for breakfast & dining area is very clean. Special thanks to Toni working in the restaurant who was so friendly & professional with us both. It was lovely to meet Christina too & heart warming seeing her & Toni working so well together. We would recommend staying here if you want value for money in a great location with a friendly atmosphere.

We were staying in London over the weekend and this was the most convenient hotel available for our location and price. I was slightly apprehensive about staying here over Halloween weekend and wondered whether there would be loud groups and noise in the early hours but this turned out to be an unnecessary worry - our floor was quiet and I couldn't hear anyone else from inside the rooms. The beds were comfy and we went for the late check out option for a tenner which was relaxing. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful and there are security guards at night so the place felt very safe. I'm very pleased with my stay and will come again.

Stayed here this weekend and after checking in and making my way up to my room in the lift, I dropped a card with £100 cash down the very thin gap between the lift door and lift - you couldn't write it!
I thought the money was gone but after reporting my issue to the reception desk, they were optimistic about getting the card returned. Fast forward to today, just a few days later and I am extremely grateful to have the card and the money on my doorstep!
Cannot fault this service from Jackie and her team!
A. L.
Friendly staff, rooms are big and clean, things are a little careworn but they all work fine. Good location and price point for this area of London. Thanks all!
K. H.
Fantastic location, really close to Liverpool Street station and a bunch of other underground stations. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was a great size, and lovely and clean.
J. T.
Love the place after we moved rooms, the first room the shower was broken and there was food that someone had thrown on the top of the shelfs (gross) they quickly moved us next door bed where comfortable and had a good night's sleep! The only problem is anything in that room was not all the plug socket work but there was enough that did so no worries food was very nice and the staff where friendly and helpful! Definitely booking there again!

Stayed at this place twice in last few months. Rooms clean, staff friendly and helpful, bar reasonably priced, breakfast great for the price.
Great location for so many things, transport, bars, restaurant..
Really impressed.

We decided to go to London for a 3 nights holiday and this place was hour decision. Our first impression was " wow " the room was bigger than we expected, very clean bed made properly and bathroom as well. The housekeeping team was discreet and helpful when we asked for privacy. The view from the room was fantastic. Overall we are sure we will stay there again when we go to London !

Stayed here overnight good clean room love there beds .view was not bad little prob with soap dispenser it was leaking so when I ran bath you'd of thought it had snowed soap suds everywhere 🤣🤣
)very good position near metro station so easy to get around would defo use again☺️ ps the tea coffee ☕ in rooms good lovely coffee ♥️

Very clean hotel. Exactly what I'd expect. Downside was only one coffee machine at breakfast, which always was queued up. Very noisy corridors can be heard throughout the night. Other than that, I would stay again!

Worst thing is I can’t even say you get what you pay for because I’ve paid less and got way more. First had a room and card keys didn’t work. Given new card keys and they didn’t work. When I was let in by a staff member it was already occupied. Given a new room and apart from one wall plug, no other plugs worked. Tv doesn’t work, hair dryer, not that I need it but it it should work anyway. Coffee machine and Kettle don’t work. Broken window handle and even when I did close the window it still sounds like it’s open. No hand wash in bathroom and shower gel dispenser doesn’t work. Only been here 1 hour!!
They issued a partial refund so upgraded to 3 star from 1.
C. G.
Only 2 towels in room on arrival so had to request more. Also had to request toilet paper!! The breakfast was good value for money but I didn't like that they only served scrambled egg and that there was no marmalade for my toast!!

Stayed at Travelodge this time as other options were far too expensive. Only the super rooms were available at this location but the price was much more than reasonable. Having got the super room , there are extras such as a coffee machine and a better shower. Walking into the room it was very small. I would have presumed that a super room would have more size but given the city centre location it is understandable. The extra amenities are a nice touch although the coffee machine didn’t seem to work however coffee sachets were provided anyway. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The hotel felt very safe and secure, after 10pm you have to use your room card to get into the hotel and they have a security team on site during night hours which is much appreciated. The carpets in this place are horrendous however both in the lobbies and room and are probably beyond being salvaged by washing. The bathroom could have done with an extractor to stop the bathroom from steaming up. There is no sound proofing and you can hear conversations from people walking past or if you walk past other peoples room. During my stay I didn’t want to bother the cleaners with cleaning my room however I didn’t require a restock of basic amenities. The cleaner was rude and didn’t know any English but from what I have gathered, because I had the do not disturb sign on my door handle she said she wasn’t going to do anything. I made clear that the room doesn’t need cleaning and I just need some basic stuff I.e toilet roll but she was not interested. I complained later on during the day and the reception staff were more than helpful. They were very apologetic and provided me with plenty of amenities and are the reason I have given four stars rather than three. Overall a really pleasant stay and is what you expect from a budget friendly hotel. There is a Tesco express a few doors down and is close to the underground. The bar and restaurant seemed to be quite popular with other people staying although I didn’t use it.

Good hotel , quiet and the food was spot on considering of reduced capacity ,surprisingly noise free for the city 👍parking is the only issue but it's what you expect

Pleasant stay for a few days. Excellent location and reception staff were polite and helpful. Room was fine, although a few broken items could do with a bit of tlc. Breakfast was good for most, however I follow a gluten free diet (a medical need) and there was very little I could eat for the price. We asked if gluten free bread was available and was told there was white and brown out (wheat bread) - we doubted whether the question was understood. As the hotel caters for vegans and vegetarians, I would hope that they could now consider some gluten free options (as this is a medical need and not by choice) to be available on request - other hotel chains are already offering this service and there are plenty of products that have long dates/can be frozen to prevent unnecessary wastage. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

Lovely people and very welcoming. The bar tender Darren was amazing and kept myself and my partner smiling the whole time.

Staff on the night shift are bad, always on their phones. The accommodation is good, but we have to pay for wifi, the bed sheets are brown, the towels have a chocolate odour, the USB charger on the wall is always out, and there is no hair dryer, so we're saving money for the hotel lol.
M. C.
Good quality, very friendly staff and excellent base. One thing I love about Travelodge is the ability to have late checkout at 2PM. We were a party of three so having the extra bed was a great option for us.
We didn't have their breakfast so I can't comment on that. There's not really much point when there's about 5000 Prets in there local area, unless you want an English breakfast.
However, we had four issues that are the reason I'm giving three stars:
- There was no shower gel in the dispenser when we arrived, which we didn't notice until the following morning and we were forced to used the hand soap dispenser, which promptly ran out itself. Then we noticed that refills were only provided before 11AM, so we had to asked reception and they gave us basically a coffee cup full of goo. It worked I guess but not exactly ideal. Also I didn't like how there was a shower curtain instead of a screen, in my view they're dated and unhygienic.
- All of our keycards stopped working the morning of our checkout despite the fact we had a late 2PM checkout booked. This was quickly resolved by reception but still a little annoying.
- Pillows were really hard and made it difficult to get sleep. One pillow wasn't enough support and two was too much.
- The air conditioning unit has a really bright light on it when it's on, which lit up the room and made it very difficult to sleep. Why do so many hotels never factor in light sensitivity? When turning the unit off at night, it made an extremely loud shutdown noise which woke up the rest of the group.
Overall I liked the slightly plusher feel than most Travelodges but I would only come back to this hotel if I really had and I would avoid doing so if I could based on the discomfort I had sleeping. The other issues aren't something I'd be too concerned about if I were to book again.

Staff were very helpful, rooms were clean and great location. Only downside was the noise at night from the main road.

Excellent place to stay for a trip in London. About a 20 minute walk to London bridge and right next to a tube station. The rooms had plenty of towels ,soap and pillows. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a basic, cheap room for a night in London.
M. A.
Have to say have stayed in a fee Travelodges and this one was amazing great location great staff and a gentleman buy the name of Darren was amazing great service and helped with all the questions I had would recommend anyone to stay here make sure you see Darren for his great service
D. T.
Right next to Old street underground so perfect for a short stay. Tesco express close by for snacks and decent breakfast in the morning

Really good location, went in a month before our booking to ask for our 3 rooms to be together at the front, obviously staff don't know the room locations as horrible internal room with no view as originally requested plus none of our rooms were together.
J. T.
I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by how helpful the receptionist was and how generally well presented the standard room was. This is first time I stayed in travel lodge I will stay again next time!

This 5* review is mainly for the member of staff who checked us in on 28/08/2021 around 1pm, they was super super lovely and so professional! Wish every person in customer service was as welcoming as they were, thank you!

Rooms spacious, good decor, reception good but no telecom to reach front desk in case you need assistance.

The staff were so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the ladies on reception were so lovely.

The staff are what make this hotel a pleasure to stay in. I stayed 20th July for a night and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. Probably the nicest reception staff I have met in a very long time.Room was very clean, quiet and bed comfy.
Great location too.
Would definitely go back.

Fantastic value for money !! Great location for travelling with kids; safe, easy walking distance to tube & bus network. All areas of hotel were clean & in full working condition, great that everywhere is keycoded , main doors locked at 10pm & security present - made me feel safe whilst travelling with children. Rooms offer great facilities, ironing board, hairdryer, kettle and staff replenish fresh towels, coffee, tea, milk etc without any hesitation. Beds are super comfy and the shower pressure is fantastic.Good size, clean rooms. Every member of staff I came across were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was hot, plenty of it and great variety on offer. Tesco next door for snacks and other bits & pieces. Would definately book again if returning to London.
M. W.
Brilliant location! Close to the train station and bus towards tourist attractions. Spacious rooms, very kind staff, stayed for a week and slept brilliantly.
Various foods available for breakfast with vegetarian and vegan options.
Any improvements that could be made, maybe more options for evening meals - there isn’t much variety. The WiFi wasn’t very good so that should get sorting out, and you can only add two devices to the WiFi.
A. F.
Very noisy room so got a bad nights sleep. One of the coffee cups not clean, antibacterial hand wash empty, which is poor during a pandemic, only one of the 3 lifts was working. Plus points? Good location, comfortable beds.
r. b.
Basic - clean room with a bath but not air conditioned so noisy as window had to be open. One thin sheet on the single bed. Fine for the price.
I.
Room was great for what it cost and it’s location is only 5 mins on the tube from very central london
k. j.
Clean and great location. Room a little warm but slept well and peacefully despite my initial concern with a few hen parties and footie crowds. Must have good sound insulation. Bar staff friendly and efficient.
T. S.
Great service and quiet clean rooms. Restaurant reasonably priced too. Evening meals were perfect, breakfast looked better than it tasted but it served its purpose
B. A.
Nice clean room friendly staff, breakfast was excellent will be using this one again

Stayed here as I had hospital appointment at the Moorfield. On arrival the reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were supplied in the room. Good morning there were even some KitKat biscuits! Excellent value for money. Will definitely stay here again.

The room was cold
The heaters weren't working
But overall it was good experience
The staffs were friendly

Honestly wasn't expecting alot from reading some of the reviews & we were a bit apprehensive, but on arrival check-in was seamless and staff helpful. The room was basic but clean as were the towels/bedding. It was a heatwave at the time and a fan was ready in the room when we arrived which was definitely needed, the hotel got very hot even in the middle of the night which was uncomfortable but probably isnt an issue most of the year. The room was quiet and we didnt hear much noise from the road. The front desk staff were so helpful & couldn't do enough for you. It cost us on average £40 per night which for central London is fantastic and we would stay again, there's a bus stop right outside, tube station 5 mins walk away and a tesco next door.

Bit noisy on the weekend nights but other than that, we had a lovely stay

Very nice place to come and visit for the weekend with some frindes.

The room was pretty good, but the staff were absolutely brilliant! Absolutely lovely staff, can't fault it. And breakfast was awesome too!

Great location for a hotel, right between 2 tube stations, the staff were really lovely and friendly!

Clean, good location and very friendly and helpful staff.

A basic but fair priced room (needs a bit of an update though as a bit shabby). Good for staying over for business as I just needed somewhere to sleep!

Nice hotel, good staff, highly recommended

A basic room but fairly priced. Clean. Great location.

Did what it needed to do. Bit tired looking inside (stained carpet etc) but reasonable for its location and staff were lovely.

Good location, decent facilities and excellent staff - perfect!

Made very welcome and an outstanding member of staff could Darren who was very polite and very hard working on the night the European cup final and dealt with the evening exstreamly well .defo would recommend this travelodge because of Darren and his colleagues

Great value for money, the room was very clean and spacious with coffee machine and the bed very comfortable

This is a good hotel, offering generally good access for disabled guests. The beds were comfy with an option of double or twin. The bathroom had a good shower. There were just two issues - one was no alarm in the bathroom to summon assistance, and second it was difficult to navigate other guests at breakfast. There are too few tables and chairs - I was offered a bar stool. Not really useful with my wheelchair.
Staff were pleasant and kind. Check in and out was simple and straightforward.
I would use this hotel again if in the area.
A. T.
Staff really friendly but need to be taught how to pour pints of beer
M. D.
Really good, was surprised. Some of the kettles are a bit tired in the rooms but not the end of the world
N. M.
Lovely big room, clean, amazing friendly staff the receptionist especially, always willing to help,
Very good price ! Very happy
D. R.
Very economical and a very good place to stay, especially in central London. Cheapest options but the quality of services was topnotch (super-double room).
A. C.
Nice room staff are spot on friendly .welcoming.
Z. S.
Hot breakfast was £9.50 per person, good selections. Clean room with a bathroom attached, a little noise outside at night some nights. We stayed 3 nights and it was only loud the 1st night. Friendly staff always willing to help. The beds were comfortable.
Old street station (tube) is the closest stop to the hotel which is about a 5 minute walk away. But once you're in the tube everything is close by, so really all of London is available from this location. Kind of seemed like a sketchy area to walk through though, but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which helps.
I'd definitely stay here again. Great value!
J.
The room was clean and comfortable. The location was excellent, both for public transport and access to a variety of amenities. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. …
D. H.
Location was excellent - within easy walking distance of several London areas. The room was pleasant enough with a good view and all the expected amenities. Staff were polite and helpful. The only slight negatives were cleanliness (lipstick on the duvet, dust on the wardrobe, dead spiders in the bathroom) and the weird placement of the only mirror a good ten feet from the nearest plug socket - not great for using a hair dryer! So generally a pleasant stay with the checkout time of 12pm being a particularly welcome policy.
D. F.
Generally happy with our stay. Good location, close to two tube stations and a bus stop at the front door. Ate at the dining room which was fairly ordinary given the prices but nonetheless convenient. Had to get in touch with reception on more than one occasion to follow-up on poor room cleaning service (missing sheet, missing towels and toilet paper not replaced!). But all in all a fairly positive experience.
H. M.
Lovely comfortable room. Everything you need is provided. Very clean. Only thing I didn't like was no toilet brush! Breakfast was good value and great quality. Location is superb. 3rd stay and would definitely stay here again
E.
Great experience. We were even upgraded to a better room for no extra cost or reason at all. There were minor problems with the shower, but that got fixed straight after mentioning it. The breakfast could be better if you're expecting European standards, but otherwise perfectly great place! Especially because of its great location. Oh yes, and the super rooms have GOOD coffee (individual coffee machines). Not the watery stuff. Actual Lavazza which brews pretty strong. Even pubs here don't seem to have coffee like that.
C. R.
Friendly staff , very welcoming and happy to help, very clean and found out room comfortable and adequate for the price but jus one little fault although a little sensitive the toilet could use a toilet brush as no one like to leave a dirty toilet and definitely not pleasant for the cleaning staff who obviously have to clean after we leave.
i.
Stayed here on my first trip to London from the States. I came in late July in the middle of a heatwave and I was looking for the air conditioners but they didn't have any. I was thinking it i wasn't going to work. The hallways, lifts, and rooms were super hot. Fortunately thought the night brought in cooler temperatures and the next few days it rained we were more comfortable. For the money, the rooms was fantastic. The location as others have described was super convenient, Kings Cross tube station is a short 5-10 minute walk. There's a convenient store next door for bottled water and essentials. St Paul Cathedral was a short bus ride away, maybe 5 stops at the most and the bus stops right in front of the hotel. Starbucks, Subway and various other small restaurants all nearby. There is a bar downstairs with some noise but nothing too bad. I would recommend this place for the price is a good value.
L. B.
This is a great hotel to stay in London. The staff are really helpful and it's all pretty much straight forward to checking and to get to your room. I will say it is massive, then must be at least 500 rooms in the hotel if not more. However it doesn't really make any difference as the staff are very good. I would say that it can get a bit noisy at night special if you go on a Friday night or Saturday night. In terms of insulation or should I say noise pollution it is not brilliant as you can hear your next door neighbours fairly clear.

Loved staying at Travelodge.
Perfect location. Helpful staff especially Micheal 👌 👍.
Would definitely recommend.
Thank you
S. T.
Clean and great price. Friendly staff. Modern rooms with comfy beds. Amazingly close to old street and where I work every now and then. Not sure how I got the deal but it was cheaper than a single ticket back to home on the train!?
Didn't have food or breakfast, but the bar is open really late. Didn't need internet as my 4g was rapid enough to use tethered laptop. Quality TV and picture was good. Loads of power points, accessable ones all with USB ports. My room was on a corner of floor and was worried noise might have been an issue as heard other guests chatting as they went to rooms but I had no issues and had a great nights sleep.
Will be staying there again if I need to work locally in Old Street area. Only drops a star as there was faint smell of drains from shower after use for an hour or so.
H. S.
The service provided by Michelle and Micky was excellent. They provide so much info on cheapest way commute around london and are always there for you comfortable stay. I would recommend this travelodge to everyone as the underground is literally a 3 to 4 min walk from the hotel and the bus stop is literally outside the hotel.
B. C.
Great location with friendly staff who offered a quick and easy service. Rooms are of a good size especially for a city location.
Bed was comfortable, bathroom had a bath with shower over. There was a coffee machine and also a kettle but what I loved was the 2 fingered kitkats that were in the room (which I demolished quickly).
Good options for food outside of the hotel and within a good walking distance.
Breakfast was good
D. W.
Needs some TLC but really friendly and helpful staff
G. H.
What more could you ask for, for the price you pay. Staff are lovely pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean and well presented. Location is fantastic underground just up the road or about a 15-20min walk to St.Pauls. Really great value for money. Will definitely be staying next time we are in London.

LOVELY HOTEL!
good priced rooms, king-sized beds, really comfortable and cozy.
The staff was really supportive and lovely. The full English breakfast is completely recommended, with a good price for the quality.
The location is really good, in 5 minutes you can easily reach old Street underground station with the Northern line and you can move all around the city.
At night, that line is no longer available but buses are close to the hotel as well.
A.
The hotel is very conveniently located, a bus stop is just in front of it and the Moorgate underground station is in a few minutes walk. Breakfast included was abundant and very tasty. Our room was simply but cosy, perfect for a short stay. …
i. K.
After a long Megabus journey (10 hours) It was a bit hard to take a shower like that. Other than that breakfast was value for money. Good choices and very fresh. Room was very clean. It was our second time and I will stay there again If I need to go to London again. Hotel has a good location and value for money.
A. D.
The exterior of the Hotel leads you believe you are entering something grand but it soon becomes apparent it's your typical travelodge offering the moment you walk through the door. I arrived quite late (midnight) and it took about 5 minutes before a receptionist to come down to unlock the main door (ok for me but for a single female it could be a bit of an anxious wait considering the central Kings Cross location.) when I got through the door the check in was efficient and fast though and within a minute or so I was heading for my room.
The room was spacious but not much of a view from the basement. This was ok for me but the worst thing was the poor wifi signal. There was plenty of advertising for free access for 30 mins but not much use if you cant connect to it. The situation was made worse by the fact there was no mobile coverage either.
The bed was ok considering it is summer but a single sheet is not enough I would have thought for most people.
overall it suited my needs but for the price I would have expected a little more for my money. Perhaps arriving earlier for a better room above ground will work the next time.
C. F.
Stay was okay, definitely don't have double/triple glazed windows as you could hear everything! Not that I'm not used to sleeping in cities either.
Had a group of girls in th room next door being really loud until 3am which wasn't ideal either.
Breakfast was good but probably won't stay again
E. W.
2 night stay - room is clean and very basic. Shower only with a small kettle and coffee making facilities. Nice, quiet location. Breakfast is OK! Plain tasteless croissants and toast but admittedly I didn't have any of the cooked breakfast foods. Would stay again but probably for one night only.
S. W.
Rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Reception staff could have been a bit more friendly and forgot to tell me my room number when I picked up the key. No iron, but was able to borrow one from reception, no ironing board in the building. Overall good value for price paid, but nothing particularly standout.
j. s.
Does what you expect. Small room. Shower. Fan for the hottest day this year. Great reception staff
D. W.
Not as grand as the picture, shown in all the advertisement.
Noisy on a Saturday night.
O. K. (.
A good hotel. A good location. I stayed Sunday to Friday morning for business. Towels replaced as needed, bed was made. The room came with some much needed extras such as a large desk, fan, iron and ironing board. Unfortunately, the floor wasn't hoovered at all during my stay, my desk lamp did not work and the WiFi, even paid, was impossibly slow for functions such as Outlook emails.
M. B.
Personally the hotel has a very good central location. Breakfast is okay, but for me it could contain cheese or cold meat cuts for the toast. Cleaniness could be better in our room. Only one pair of towels for two people was present and no soap in the bathroom and vacuuming away the dirt of the people living before us in the room would be nice. Price is okay.
D. L.
Not bad for the price, not bad at all! I've been staying here because the company I was visiting was really close by, but even if you're on a holiday visiting the city, the subway stations are really close and there are pretty good restaurants nearby.
It's a "cheap" hotel in a sense that it doesn't have the amenities the bigger brands have and its restaurant maxes out at frozen pizza, but it really is an okay place to stay for the price.
B. M.
We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting London. Upon arriving and checking in, we went to our room, which only had enough bedding for 3 people (there were 4 of us), not enough towels, and no shower curtain! We explained this to reception, and were moved to another room which had sufficient towels, bedding, and a shower curtain.
The room was fairly small and basic, but that's probably standard for a Travelodge. It was also very hot all the time, the fans provided only helped marginally, really the room needed air conditioning.
One day we returned to our room from breakfast and were unaware to get in, none of our key cards worked. We reported this and were told the batteries in the lock must have died so it would need replacing, if we needed to get in they could break the lock but then we'd have to move rooms, or we could go and come back in a few hours and they'd replace the lock properly. Not wanting to move rooms again, we left them to it, and sure enough, when we came back, the lock had been replaced and worked fine. To their credit, we were given a complimentary 2 course meal and drink each for the restaurant.
M.
Usual Travelodge experience everything in perfect order. You can't go wrong with this hotels. Perfect if you need something on short notice. Just grab a room close to your place of interest. In this case there is quite spacious restaurant and some bar. Not that busy like other places from this brand.
G. F.
Handy with friendly staff, but not great.
The whole hotel was far too hot, with no AC anywhere making sleep difficult. The bathroom I had smelled of drains, which was slightly unpleasant.
I paid for breakfast but was not in the list when I turned up in the morning which added a delay while the staff rechecked the booking. The cooked breakfast itself was very disappointing, so I left most of it. On the way back to my room, the key card stopped working, so it had to be reprogrammed so that I can get back in to my room.
Overall, it was very average and I would only stay here again if I couldn't find anywhere better, but for the price in comparison to other central London hotels, it is very competitive
L. B.
Beds weren't comfortable- 2 sons aged 11 & 14 struggled on put up beds and double bed sagged. We booked room for 4 but it was made up for 3 in error, However this was quickly resolved. All staff very friendly and the breakfast was lovely.
C. T.
Very cheap price wasn't expecting that was happily surprised with the room staff were extremely friendly

Room was perfect but avoid checking in at check-in time. There's an influx of people trying to do the same thing and on thus particular Sunday, the maids couldn't get rooms cleaned quick enough. The hotel were kind enough to offer me a complimentary drink whilst I waited 15 minutes. Not the end of the world. Again, room was perfect.

Great value hotel, perfect for a budget stay in London! The super room was lovely and the staff were all really helpful. Great location and the breakfast was very filling. We didn't find the room noisy as the windows were double glazed but it is on a main road. We'd stay here again, especially as the location is great for exploring London.
A. U. K.
The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and simple. I added on breakfast for my trip and it had been very good. They have a big dining room and a bar downstairs.
I would highly recommend staying here for your trip to London. This location is close to the underground access the bus systems. I've gotten all around london in 20 minutes or less from this starting point.Nice

It was a great stay! We stayed at this travel Lodge from the 30th of May till the 1st of June. We had a big room to share with the 3 of us. The bathroom was clean and very nice. Breakfast was also very nice, there were a lot of things to choose from. The employees were very kind and informative. There was one employee, Boba, who came to have a little chat after breakfast which was very nice! Thank you!

Great location, right my Shoreditch/Brick Lane and two tube stations. We were facing the front and it did get a little noisy with the window open but was fine with it shut. Comfy rooms, helpful staff, also let us leave some luggage while we explored the next day. Very happy!

The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The room was easy to locate, clean and spacious. It certainly exceeded my expectations. The only downside I found was the bed and the pillows - it was not a comfortable nights sleep! But as everything else was so nice and smooth, I am only taking off one star for this. And just as a side note: don't drive here. You will spend more on parking for the night than on your room.

Relatively safe option but overpriced for what it is - a tired no frills hotel, all be it well located. I paid £165 inc breakfast booking a few weeks in advance. The room was actually quite spacious by London standards. Had an iron which was helpful as well as tea and coffee. The mattress was adequate (but certainly no memory foam) but the shower (in the bath) was incredibly slippy - bizarrely so. Breakfast was plentiful, edible and cheap by London standards at £7 if booked in advance. I'd stay there again if I had too but wouldn't be near the top of my list.

We stayed for my son's birthday and I asked 2 days before if there was anything they could do for him. As soon as we went in, they had decorated the door, the room, provided him with a cake and chocolates and a card. He was absolutely over the moon. Staff did everything they could to help him and us. Rooms were very clean and had good faciliities. Will definitely stay again. Would give over 5 stars if I could.

This hotel is actually very well located, being only a few minutes walk from Old Street underground station, and a bit cheaper than those more towards the centre of London - I paid £45 for a family room, though that was well in advance and did not allow any changes.
Checking in was easy enough - there were quick check in kiosks, but I opted for the old-fashion approach and spoke to a receptionist who was welcoming and efficient. The three lifts to all floors were just to the side of reception.
The room was on the second floor and faced onto City Road. I have stayed in a number of hotels where the room is subject to traffic noise, but it has usually been subdued quite a bit, but not in this case.
The room was clean and tidy and as to be expected from a Travelodge. The bathroom was a little on the small side compared to others, but adequate nonetheless. The power of the water out of the shower head was lack-lustre.
We returned to the hotel around 11pm and went straight to bed. Although my friend was able to go to sleep very quickly, I had a very disturbed night. The windows did little to deaden the sounds of the traffic or the people spilling out of a nearby pub/club. Internally, a door was continually being opened and closed - it may have been a guest room as I could hear the sound of the lock - but it was being left to self-close, so made more noise. Because of this, I think I may have only got a couple of hours sleep, if that.
We did not use the bar or restaurant.
A. G.
Good location. Haven't stayed in a Travelodge for a while, it was comfortable but still feels so basic compared to its competitors. No A/C in the rooms made sleeping difficult even in October, I can imagine summer months must be unbearable.
A. H.
I'd give Travelodge 5 stars for delivering what it promises with friendly concierge and bar staff. However, cleaning needs work. There was some kind of food stain on my desk chair, a tuft of hair and dust on my floor near the bathroom, and I was provided no washcloth.
Also, why do economy hotels not provide drawers or baskets for clothing you don't hang, like underwear and socks? Storage space for pajamas, swimsuits, shorts and tees would be nice, too. I don't like living out of my suitcase when I've checked into a hotel.
A. T.
The room was as expected, basic but clean and tidy with the necessities. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot and powerful. The location was ideal for access to the underground and for finding places to eat. The only negative for me was that the food provided at breakfast time looked better than it tasted, otherwise everything - the room, service, location etc was all fine.
K. P.
A good budget hotel. Staff were particularly helpful as id booked the wrong date but they helped me to change it so I was able to stay when I turned up on the wrong, for them, date. Room was pretty good and it was fantastic to have a proper sized bed. I love my Super King but King Size works for me.
N. K.
The room was a reasonable size, was clean and the bed was comfortable. The style was modern and looked fairly smart despite being a budget hotel. In the morning there was a continental breakfast included which was excellent. The location was handy for the tube and other local amenities.
M. C.
The room that I stay are unusually large for Travelodge typical size. Since it is facing the main road, noise can be a problem if you are a light sleeper like me, especially if you want to leave a gap on the window. Service here are better than the other Travelodge, like they can release the room to me at 2:30 and don't have to either charge me £10 for early check in or wait till 3pm, and allow me to leave the luggage here after check out for a few hours which the other Travelodge won't. You still need to paid £3 for wifi (that is slow, and blocks many important ports like ssh), and no fridge. However given that it is not too far from train station, and the price it offer, it would still be my top choice.
D. M.
Rooms are nice and clean and relatively well-price, althoughr ates change frequently. The English Breakfast is OK, but a bit expensive. No air conditioning. Location is very convenient for central London. Actually 3 1/2 stars.
H. B.
2 night visit to London with friends 60's visiting Natural history museum and Churchill war museum. Ideally located on arrival from Euston and above visits. Were able to leave cases safely stored on arrival. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Clean , well maintained public areas, places to sit and wait get a coffee, use clean toilets. Super size room with space for camp bed etc if taking children. Clean, comfy, big bed and clean bathroom with bath and shower. TV, iron, hairdryer (near mirror!) tea/coffee equipment, heater. Great choice of breakfast. Good price. Excellent value. Will go again.
P. P.
Booked to avoid rushing for the last train home after a night out. Good location with decent sized rooms. Impressed with the shower and water pressure. Staff at the front desk were nice and friendly. Breakfast area was huge although didn't eat there so can't comment on the food.
n. n.
Not half bad. I've been in worse place for more money. Sheets were clean, bed was comfortable and water in a shower warm enough. Add to that an ironing set and a kettle and I'm more than content. If anyone complaints there's always Ritz Carlton, right,
S. M.
Room was of a good size for a travelodge. Bed was comfortable. TV was initially missing a remote but reception rectified this. Provided a travel cost for the little one as requested. Had a shower but no bath. The shower had good pressure and temperature. We booked breakfast for our first day for convenience. We must of went down at the wrong time as most of the food was cold, warm at best. Selection was fine and I guess it did the job.
C. C.
Good location, rooms were pretty good. Wish there was more plug sockets closer to the bed. No plant based milk or butter options for lactose intolerance but food options were great for vegetarian / vegan. Overall great for the price, would stay again.
A. B.
Whilst the staff are friendly (and remember me as I've stayed so many times!) The breakfast is not to my taste. I've had many buffet breakfasts in hotels and this one is not great quality.
I tend to stay in their Super Rooms. These don't cost much more but they're comfier and more modern. Come with their own coffee pod machines.....and a complimentary 2-finger kit kat
S. S.
Decent stay at a head hunted location! Will visit again!
S. L.
For the location and price a really good value hotel on the heart of the city. Room are nice and showers good. Good bar area downstairs but their are much better in the area. Breakfast was ok.
Only downside was biding work going on next door meant if you had curtains open the builders could see everything but not much they can do about that as the city is constantly knocking down something and rebuilding it
R.
The hotel is near the Liverpool street station, where you can take the tube for reaching the most interesting places. rooms are not big but very nice. The problem is that there is no air conditioner And they give you a little fan, that unfortunately makes a lot of noise. Keeping the windows open means to hear the noise of outside during the night. Also the doors of the rooms make a lot of noise closing them, so during the night you hear this noise. We had also breakfast included in the price, and It is very good, you can find the english breakfast but also croissant. It's easy also making check-in and check-out, people at the reception are very polite and nice. I put 4 stars only for the noise and the warm inside.
P. M.
Room was clean and simple, tea and coffee supplies are nice to have in the room. Location is very good. It was a bit noisy in the room but I think it's pretty standard in UK hotels. Being on busy road did not help it either.
V. S.
Convenient location for me, places to eat nearby and fairly large room. Although there was a TV available not much choice. Bathroom was ok, could be better. Service is good and food available in the hotel. Near to both moorgate and old street stations.
J. C.
Managed to get a really quiet room here for a change (449) and it was a great room. Very clean and the reception staff were super friendly. There's a restaurant here as well that serves a great breakfast.
D. F.
It was fine. The room was comfortable and clean, which at the price is all you really need. My only complaint is that my room key stopped working every single day of a week-long stay and had to be reset at reception.
S. L.
Room was not particularly decorated but for a cheap overnight stay I don't mind particularly. Bed was super comfortable, room temperature perfect all night. Bathroom functional and clean. Tea in room is always a bonus. I was worried about noise, but we were put in a room at the back on the 5th floor and had no problem with noise.
R. H.
Good location and v nice room. WiFi was a bit hit n miss however. Fine for email/ browsing no good for connecting to work. However it's only £3 for 24 hrs. Breakfast was busy - v popular with tourists.
A. M.
Expensive but clean. Firstly I got a room with a view on the construction site (it was about 10 meters from the window) - very noisy starting from 6 a.m... The next day I asked for room change and without any problems they give me new one. This time with view at the "patio" - a big hole build-up from walls from each side... But it's London. I guess there is no other possibility? But view strictly on the main street would be a couple times better! Especially for the price! Breakfasts very good! Beds too... The service also did its job!
D.
Admittedly, I'm not a fan of Travelodge, but it was a pleasure to stay here.
Location - Brilliant location. Everything you require is pretty much on your doorstep. Walking distance from the tube station and bus stops. Tesco and Sainsbury's are only a few doors away. Bars and restaurants are also within walking distance.
Hotel - The exterior of the hotel itself looks fine. The corridors to my room and communal areas are clean, and well maintained.
Service - I was pleasantly greeted by reception, and check in was fairly smooth (the self service machine couldn't find my reservation, but this was quickly rectified).
Upon checking out, a concerned receptionist asked if I was OK, and if I required a taxi (due to the dreadful state I was in, following a heavy night out). A nice touch.
Room - Clean and well maintained. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
Breakfast - A lovely, nicely cooked full breakfast. The dinning area, is very spacious and offers plenty of room.
To conclude, a very pleasant stay. A credit to the company.
C. S.
Stayed here for a weekend trip. Situated in a really great area close to stations, Shoreditch, Spitalfields etc. We checked in really quickly and easily and the staff were very helpful. However the room wasn't amazing - the floor wasn't hoovered very well, there was a patch on the duvet which was clearly quite old and there was a bit of mould on the ceiling near the window. The hair/body wash was also almost pointless as it was so watery and the shower curtain was stained yellow. Apart from that, the facilities were fine and we had a nice stay. It was cheap and cheerful. Unfortunately we didn't use the bar or restaurant so I can't comment on those.
J. G.
Really good value for what it is, and probably the best Travelodge I've been in terms of presentation, and breakfast was great. Location is great for a city visit.
The down sides. It was about -2 C outside when I stayed, but in my room it was really hot. I opened the window, which opened onto aircon units, which were very noisy. I had the choice to freeze or boil. In the morning I also had no hot water.
R. J.
Room was a good size for a London hotel. Good location very close to underground station. The worker at reception was able to do some printing for us free of charge which we were very grateful for and we were able to leave our bags there on our last day until we needed to catch our train. Very friendly staff.
L. M. S.
This is great for business trip instead of leisure as the location of the hotel is at the business districts where there's plenty of offices and banks nearby. The hotel has a big room (Super Room) come with wardrobe, writing desk and sofa. The bed is comfortable. They do provide the capsule coffee machine and the capsule is complimentary from the hotel. The surrounding area of the hotel is quiet after 7pm.
S. B.
GOOD: comfortable bed, strong shower, great location.
BAD: charging extra for WiFi is pretty old school; desk lamps in all (?; at least 6) rooms don't work, bizarrely; the breakfast is an industrial buffet.
S. M.
Good location, only 10 mins. from Liverpool Street Station. Staff are exceptional all helpful and enthusiastic. Only negative is that there is some external noise. The bar and eating area is very good, our breakfasts where the best we have had at any hotel of this type in Europe.
R. S.
The hotel was fine, good position for getting around London. Didn't eat there but it looked clean and was popular.
The room was way too warm though, no aircon only a fan, otherwise would be 4 stars.
N. S.
One of the strongest points of this hotel is its vicinity to 2 metro stations: Moorgate and Old street. The rooms are clean and spacious. We particularly asked for a quiet room so the receptionist sent us to the 7 th floor where there are less visitors, however, the room was, unfortunately, right next to the door leading to the elevator so we could here it clapping all night through. Attention, the Wi-Fi service is only free for 30 minutes every 24 hours. The check in is at 15 pm , but you can leave your baggage in the reception desk . Charge for an early check in is 10 pounds.
C. O. (.
The staff is really friendly, the food was good, and the room was nice. No mini bar, hairdryer or "pants presser", but all small things in total. The location is really good, and with an oyster card, it's easy to get everywhere from here. And there's a Tesco express next door, which makes up for the minibar. I will definitely visit again!
L. S.
The room (family room) was fine, for the money. It was a bargain really. But it was hot in the room, the was a table fan which we ran all night. The breakfast was poor and cold, the dining area was unpleasant and the screens everywhere made it feel very tacky. All of this comes in the context of having spent the previous night at Travelodge in Vauxhall, which was excellent.
J. M.
We visit London and stay in this hotel. The room is good and spacious and clean.the staff and reception are helpful the breakfast buffet is really good. The location is fantastic so convenient, you can shop go to the pub or hop in to the tube you can go anywhere you want. the train station just near by...I recommend this hotel to everyone !
R. W.
Rooms are nice as expected and that's great for a hotel in London. Handy location for my needs. Good reception service. Nice and spaceous feel to most of it. Of course rooms are only do big, but really ideal for business travellers looking for a comfy and convenient place.
L. S.
No WiFi included. Buying a two-day pass (6 pounds) failed. Reception was friendly but could also not fix the problem. Location is good, rooms clean. Quite expensive for a budget hotel. Breakfast average quality (10 pounds).
L. W.
Location was perfect for the venue we were attending (the brewery) beds were nice and firm but pillows were far too big. Couldnt lay down properly as the pillows made you sit up. Overall a good stay however
M. T.
Travelodge is normally pretty good and consistent. Rooms were reasonably clean and well presented, however housekeeping left only one towel for 2 days running, then when I got another from reception and left them on the rail (do not change) they removed it and we went back down to 1 towel, gave up in the end and made do between 2 guests. Just seemed like a pointless thing to do, as well as giving us empty sugar packets, equally useless to anybody.
M. C.
Hotel is in an ideal location to explore London. Room was clean but the hotel is a little run down and could do with a refurbishment as there was lots of damage to walls and lots of stains on the carpet. The hotel has a 24 hour bar which is well priced and the breakfast in the morning was well stocked and tasty.
T. G.
Very standard Travelodge but in a great location. Room was clean and spacious and the staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was really nice as well and good value for money. One issue was that there was no soap left in the dispenser in the shower so had to go out and buy our own. Overall it was good stay.
J. R.
Whether you get any sleep is the luck of the draw. I've stayed here 3 times now. One of the times I had a room around the back right at the end of the corridor and it was silent all night. I've also had a night where I'm just above a bar, next to the stair firedoor with some alarm going off all night when I barely slept a wink. My suggestion is to properly scout your room when you first check in, and try to get it changed before you get comfy if you're anywhere near the bar.
M. B.
Very fine hotel - I'm surprised how much you get for your money. Superb location only a 5-6 minutes walk from Liverpool Street Station. Nice and clean hotel with friendly staff all over. The rooms are fine and if you book an "accessible Twin Room" you get a fairly large room with a double bed that can be separated into two single beds. The hotel has some nice, big beds, so you get a good night's sleep. The breakfast is really good with everything you could wish for. A huge plus of the hotel is the large bar and restaurant area which is open 24 hours a day, so you can get hot food if you arrive late at night. Very recommendable hotel.
H. S.
The room was very clean and spacious. There was some noise from outside, as mentioned at the hotel's site, but can't say it bothered me. Staff very polite and helpful
d. K.
This hotel is really great for tourists who are sight seeing the whole day. The rooms are priced fairly, are clean and sufficient. It's located pretty good. The metro is not far away. A bus station is directly in front of it. The Tesco supermarket is only a couple of steps away. The only downturn is that without an air conditioner it gets pretty hot in the rooms and even with opened windows all day no fresh air comes in. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Overall this hotel is definitely recommendable.
J. C.
WiFi didn’t work and by the time they would’ve fixed it I would’ve been gone. Luckily they switched by room 2 days before I left. The bed and lighting and shower is fine. Good if you just need a place to stay. The breakfast is decent and I might stay again but truly the WIFI situation was ridiculous and should’ve never happened.
D. S.
Disappointed by the super rooms. They are small, no air conditioning, shower curtain doesn’t sit properly over the tray causing leakage and flooding, the coffee is terrible, was given only one towel for a room booked for 2. The lights flickered and the bathroom sink was slow to drain. No Coca Cola at the bar. Cheap but not cheerful.
S. H.
This hotel is far too hot and needs air con in the rooms and corridors. The WiFi should be free. There should be plug sockets beside the bed for fast charging. The beds should be bigger. The shower doesn't drain fast enough so overflows.
M. T.
Being a hotel in budget class Travelodge serves as a good accommodation for groups or families who'd rather spend their money out in London than on living.
Breakfast is served every morning with little to none vegan options except toast with jelly, juice and coffee.
Rooms are small with relatively hard beds which can be preferable. Strangely my bathrooms has been out of soap during my visits.
WiFi is ridiculously priced with only 30 minutes of free access every 24 hours.
All in all it's an okay place to stay in the middle of London with Moorgate tube station just a short walk away albeit the area itself is a bit soulless.
P. D. (.
Great staff, comfortable bed. Food is a little disappointing but cheap if you pay for a breakfast/dinner meal deal.
The breakfasts are great however and well worth paying the extra for.
As a hotel - great
For evening meal perhaps look elsewhere
G. G.
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on 2016. Location and Staff was ok. Friendly atmosphere. One thing that I missed was continental breakfast. All other aspects on this hotel were positive. Recommend
g. h.
We went here when the weather was very warm - which meant the hotel was extremely warm also. Rooms were not as bad (we had a fan at least) but the corridors were almost unbearable. Staff wonderful - cannot help enough. Food was ok - breakfast was yummy. For evening meal one night I had the steak pudding - dont make the same mistake I did. Its 65% pastry - and londoners cannot do gravy!!
A. G. U.
Looked after extremely well by staff after having to stay for an extra night due to storm Dennis. Complimentary breakfast as well.
Above and beyond. Good Customer service is a must and this is what I got. Ewelina and Analzira are just two names I can remember.
Well done- now heading back to Plymouth
D. H.
Rooms were excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location being close to moorgate station to get around and some great bars and restaurants close by. We got locked out of our room with a lock malfunction, but staff were great for the hour and we got drinks in the bar whilst we waited. Would definitely stay here again.
R. P.
Third visit; rooms are always well equipped (crucially, with a fan during summer) and well kept. Service was good for the most part (slight delay with the prepaid meal but was a one-off). Great place to stay if you're visiting the Barbican as it's a 10 minute walk.
F. I.
If you want a hotel just to spend the night and visit london, this is the place to be. Not a bad price considering it is London City centre. Don't expect much from the breakfast although it is eatable. My room was quite clean and very spacious. The bathroom though could use some improvements. Staff was kind. Well located and close to two tube stations.
C. C.
Stayed on the 6th floor and had a nice view of the city. Liked the new modern decor and look and almost had to check I was in a Travelodge. Very surprised to see a Lavazza coffee machine and KitKat chocolate bars. Other amenities include mini ironing board and iron, hair dryer, comfy chair, kettle, flat screen wall mounted Samsung TV, hairdryer and power points by the bedside including fastcharge USB sockets for mobile/tablet charging. There was also a chicque chrome fan and the wubdiws open to a reasonably sized gap to allow some fresh air. Water pressure for both the hand basin and shower was also very good.
On the downside, space is sparce, and bathroom has basic toiletries. There was construction noise in the morning but for me, the closed window was sufficiently dampened so as not to distrurb me. Wished there was free wifi but at £3 per day, its not too bad and I had good 4G connection on my mobile provider using the Three network. My biggest complaint is the various stains on the carpet so I was very glad I brought my slippers with me.
There was a cafe/restaurant available but I didn't explore the general amenities.
I paid £88 for a last-minute Monday overnight stay which was good value but decide to change when Tuesday was nearly fully booked and the price shot up to over £200!
Overall very happy and will aim to book again when next working in the Barbican area.
A. F.
Room was clean and decorated in a modern style. Desk and desk chair with plenty of plug sockets for electricals. Good hot drink making appliances with drink products provided. Plenty of hangers in wardrobe for 2 people for 1 night. Bed was very comfortable with options of hard or soft pillows. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board provided. Hotel was in ideal location near shops and bars and close to train station.
S. F.
Cheap and lots of breakfast, but not high quality food and a few minor room snags.
S. M.
This is a good location, very close to an underground station. It was quick to get into central London. The staff were friendly even though the place was quite busy when we checked in. My only annoyance where the door locks, Travelodge really needs t move to contactless door locks as they are more responsive. We spend a long time trying to unlock our door.
J. R.
This rating is for what the place represents. It's a very inexpensive clean and no nonsense no frills hotel room. You get two towels, no shampoo/conditioner, squeeze soap from a wall mounted dispenser, no hair dryer unless asked for, but it's clean, half renovated - people are working on it now all in the center of Silicon Roundabout (nice run on sentence, eh). If you stay here over the weekend the immediate area is shut down. During the week it will be livelier. For a very simple room and stay this place hits the mark, but know that this is what what you are looking for before booking.
Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz

No complaints at all. Get exactly what you pay for and I thought it was good value for money. DARRON was very helpful and welcoming. And gave a couple of extra touches that brought a smile to the children faces! Thank you.
J. O.
The super rooms are reasonably appointed. No air con in my 5th floor room but the secondary glazed windows slid open and outer original windows open to allow airflow. Don't usually like Travelodge but will stay here again as a budget option because of the convenient location. Near old street tube
N. S.
First I would like to say big thanks to Jackie at the reception, she is been so lovely and helpful to accommodating me in a lovely room . I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, my room was clean comfortable and cosy.
I cannot wait to come back next week as I will be dj in shoreditch. I do recommend Travelodge Hotel.
W. B.
Since my last visit the hotel has been decorated and looks fresh and inviting. I always get a lovely reception from the staff who do everything with a smile. I appreciate the welcome - well done !!
S. B.
We were unaware that building work was going on in the next highrise and the view and the mess on the window left a great deal to be desired. The cleaning staff do not seem to be supervised to the extent that my wife was disturbed by the room cleaner well before the 12:00 noon check out and didn't seem to understand we hadn't finished using the room after breakfast to pack our bags. My wife was so flustered by the young female trying to change the bed etc. that she felt she needed to pack quickly and take our bags and coats down to reception where she did receive an apology of sorts and that we would receive a voucher in the post, to compensate. Overall it was a fairly quiet nights sleep, except at 3:00 in the morning some person/s ran heavily down the corridor and banged on a door nearby. The hotel itself was also having ongoing refurbishment on the 6th floor (we did hear about this via a cousin staying at the same time and who had rang the hotel). But I received no word about this from the staff. Getting the lift on one occasion it stopped on the 6th and we were confronted with building materials and protective plastic on the floor coverings. I booked this hotel in December 2016, so they had plenty of time to inform us well ahead of our stay. Management is at best complacent and at worst incompetent. Wouldn't stay there again.
F.
Located 5 minutes from Moor Street underground. Easy check-in, clean and well equipped bedroom (for travelodge). 7 floors 3 lifts, big restaurant and bar, although a bit spartan. Plenty of food and drink options nearby, and a Tesco Express if you don't have the budget.
The hotel is located on a busy road and there's lots of road noise, so bring ear plugs
E. H.
Good place to stay. Perhaps can be a little cheaper. But rooms are clean, staff are great.
Bacon was a bit off during breakfast but it's mass cooked, so I must have got a duff batch ..overall, happy with my stay.
L. D.
Good priced accommodation in Shoreditch and well situated for visiting central London. Simple but clean rooms and a good selection on offer at breakfast. Few minutes walk away from Old Street underground station and there is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel.
R. F.
Great location and close to old Street station. Room was clean and spacious. I did get a bit of outside noise coming into my room but I was on first floor and it wasn't terrible. Fairly typical Travelodge experience.
L. B.
First time I had been to London. I would recommend this travel lodge. The staff were very helpful and friendly and polite. Peter the bar man was so helpful on giving us advice were to eat out. All I say is you must try the Chinese restaurant across the road it's was lovely didn't get to try Indian restaurant across the road . The drinks in the hotel was good and it wasn't dear to drink in the hotel. Would definitely go back to this travel lodge
V. M. C.
Good price I suppose but regardless what tou pay it should still live up to hype from advertising. , Aweful shower absolutely no pressure and electrical socket hanging off the wall. The iron was burnt. Food was ok if you are a squaddy otherwise bland, bland with extra bland and no where near enough coffee machines.
D.
Booked a twin but given a double. Switched to a disabled room and when the beds were pulled apart the carpet was dirty. Lots of noise outside due to having to have the windows open as there was no air conditioning. Other than that fine as a basic room.
K. B.
OK for the price. Not happy with the breakfast, all food was dry and tasteless. We paid extra for late check-out, but were woken up by noisy cleaner constantly banging doors in the corridor. Checked out early and received a refund for the late check-out.

The location of this hotel is great if you're wanting to quickly get out into the city for a look around, or for conferences. The rooms are nice, however there's no air conditioning in the normal rooms, and the sound proofing around the window isn't fantastic as sound from the relatively busy road outside can still make it in. Regardless of this, I still had a great nights sleep, and the temperature of the room was fine due to having the very large window open slightly.
N. P.
Average room, good service. Be warned though, no attempt has been mad to sound proof the rooms from the road or the pub on the ground floor. We were on the third floor and my wife struggled to sleep with the music from the pub, I dread to think what the two floors below were like!
T. W.
Good prices compared to other nearby hotels but the service was lackluster. Our room was never cleaned during our stay and we went through a great deal of trouble to get the wifi to work - even though we had paid for it beforehand since it's not included in the original price.
N. B.
We usually pick more expensive hotels thinking they will be better but this has been the best hotel we have stayed in so far by miles. The staff go above and beyond to help, the food is delicious, rooms are perfectly sized and clean and the rooms are such good value for money. We will definitely be using again if we are back in the area.
P. D.
Very clean hotel, friendly staff, very nice breakfast, and reasonably priced food. However the room had a lot of empty space and was very echoey because of it, and the view from the window wasn't great, just a grey miserable looking building, and people could see right onto the room from it, so had curtains closed the whole time we were here.
P.
Clean, tidy. Rooms were basic but functional. Quite expensive for what you get but it is london after all. The breakfast was a bit meh but I've never come across a travelodge breakfast that ever wowed me.
S. F.
Very comfortable room. Weather was warm but room had the curtains drawn to block out sun, suitable bedding and a fan in the room. Staff are lovely.
P. C.
Check in Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and well equipped and breakfast was tasty and well priced. My one criticism was the layout of the breakfast buffet, it was very busy and cramped, changes to the layout would have improved this.
J. H.
Spacious clean rooms and the hotel is close to a number of attractions. However, it was very noisy as the room faced onto a main road with a busy pub next door and the old windows offered vey little sound proofing.
M. W.
Great hotel if your budget conscious, Small but adequate rooms and clean. Nice breakfast. Great for a base when visiting London.
L. S.
Only stayed one night, as had a course in London and hotel was a 10 minute walk away. However, rooms are very basic and tired looking. There was no air conditioning and just a fan in the room. Okay for one night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer.
M. B.
Location and relatively low price is the reason for choice. Probably worst maintained rooms I've seen in a Travelodge - with missing features like no glasses, hairdryer gone AWOL, also and there was palpable dust, but at least all rooms have the new signature king size beds which are lovely and firm. About 10min walk to Barbican Centre too.
S. D.
I stayed for a work event. The room was tidy, the bed was comfortable. Shower could of been warmer.. the water was just warm enough to wash in.. but only just. Staff seemed friendly enough.
D. D.
We stayed in 1 of the new upgraded room's, they cost a little more (about £20) but you get lavazza coffe machine and pods, chocolate bars, extra plug sockets and USB sockets an iron and ironing board in the room and a full length mirror. We loved the room and will definitely stay again. Nearly forgot you also get a choice of really soft comfortable or firmer comfortable Pillows, it makes a difference 😁
o. t.
Very polite nice and cosy rooms npa parking 4 minutes drive from the hotel box of breakfast for under £6 no cooked breakfast bar is closed
R. M.
Room felt a little shabby and dated. Staff were super helpful and friendly.
J. P.
Very basic hotel but the staff was very helpful and very friendly. One of the nights I was there the toilet broke and they just moved me to another room so they would not inconvenience me while they were doing repairs.
M. B.
Very handy location for The City. I have used this Travelodge when staying over working nearby on and off for 3 years now.
Booking is simple via the web site. Unless I am 100% certain of dates I avoid the save rates, as normal bookings get a full refund if cancelled in time.
Super rooms are a new addition. The posh Nespresso machine is a nice touch.
Book in advance to get better rates. Monday's are often less expensive than other weekdays. I have seen this fully booked with 2-3 weeks left to go.
There is a bar and restaurant on site. Also a Tesco metro a few doors up and plenty of other food and drink choices nearby.
J. G.
Clean. Courteous staff. If your sound sensitive and need a good night sleep, request a room on the 7th floor facing Tabernacle street.
Old Street and Moregate stations are a quick walk from the hotel.
E. M.
Stayed 2 nights. Easy to locate. Friendly staff. Tried the new room which was nice. Refurbished well and had everything we needed. Shower curtain was a shame, bit clingly.
M. B.
Basic room. A little bit prison cell like. Couldn't find any air con (if there was any) so room was too hot and too cold depending on time. Breakfast was plentiful but cholesterol city.
A. S.
🏢 What you would expect from a Travelodge. If you want to stay around here on a budget and are not up for staying in some of the dubious looking air b&bs about, then it is perfectly good. We used the place as a base for one night only, but were able to book a three person room which worked out perfectly.
a. m.
Cool. Place, in the middle of the action. Can become a bit noisy from times to times. Other than that it is a very nice hotel. Staff is super helpful and kind.
J. B.
Good location. Really big rooms, especially if you're alone, as the default size is double. Friendly staff, they were happy to fulfil a request to put friends in adjacent rooms.
All in all, a solid choice.
H.
Would be a very good Travelodge except for 2 issues, you can't control the temperature of the heating (room was very hot), and fr some reason there was quite a loud fan like noise that couldntvwork out where was coming from or get rid of. Breakfast was better than the other ones nearby.
K. K.
Hotel in itself was very good, but the food at night in the restaurant was awful, from the point of ordering at the bar, the lad on duty was very good. But from there on it went down hill the food was terrible, and so was the service. On Saturday the 31st December new years eve. From point of order, it took 50mins for the last meal to be brought to the table. My 5 year old daughter's food. It also didn't help much when the waitress was openly having a go at the lad who was taking the order's, in front of customers.
R. G.
Booked a super room but had to get another coffee machine brought to room within first 5 minutes as original one was broken. Spent whole night thinking window was open even though it was clearly closed then discovered in morning that it had actually slipped in its frame and there was an inch gap at top open to the outside. Not great when there is a construction site on other side of road.
J. E.
First of all, I have to say that the hotel is extremely clean, much cleaner than one would expect from a budget hotel. I had two problems while I was there. First, my wifi code did not appear in any of my paperwork or on the website. They fixed this promptly for me and in the meantime, I used the free wifi in the restaurant. Secondly, the water stopped working in my room on my next-to-last day. As soon as I told the clerk, they placed me in another room (with a better view) rather than having to wait for someone to repair it.
Being there in October meant that it wasn't terribly warm so the lack of AC didn't bother me much. I don't think I could not stay there in the summer months. Other reviewers mentioned that it is a noisy hotel. It is noisy with the windows open and the sounds of people and traffic at all hours of the day and night. However, ear plugs work miracles.
The location is central to the Barbican and to two tube stops and if I'm able to visit again in the fall/winter, I would come back again without a problem.
H. B.
Recently stayed here for a work visit down south - it was clean, comfortable, in a central location and with helpful staff. I was on a higher floor so did not experience any noise from the street and I had a good view from the window.
K.
The staff Is great, It is placed quite near Liverpool street station from whom you can reach everywhere easily. Moreover the hotel is clean a wonderful breakfast,....i hope to go there again.
N. D. M. S.
Room simple, clean and complete with iron hairdryer and kettle.. The bus station just outside the hotel entrance. Can take 1 bus to London Bridge and the highest building The Shard. Unfortunately wifi free just for half and hour only
D. F.
Recently refurbished, deluxe rooms have iron/ironing board, coffee pods and the usual tea/coffee facilities. Quiet and within 3 minutes walk to tubes, selection of restaurants literally 30 seconds walk. Tesco express next door.
I. d. R. A.
This is a good hotel given the fact that it is a 3 star hotel. Breakfast has a normal quality. Sometimes the juice is sweet, but other times it tastes like water.
N. D.
Everything OK! Small rooms, but very clean and there's a good variety of food for breakfast. And it's just a short walk to the next underground stations.
D. B.
Great location and there’s a Tesco Express a couple doors down. Nice and quiet rooms even though it’s on a busy road. Only slight downside is lack of air con in rooms but they do have a fan
E. C.
Superb location in the centre of London. Not far from Old Street underground. Service was excellent, had a quite nights sleep. Lovely room, spacious with a nice TV. Breakfast was tasty and glad they provide a hot vegetarian option.
D. P.
Stayed here while working in area, its great value for London, breakfasts are tasty, mixed sizes of room so you may get small one a fairly large one, luck of draw. If you're on budget this one is good.
L. C.
Surprisingly quiet and I slept really well. Good breakfast, centrally located hotel. Only downside was shower curtain does not prevent bathroom from getting wet.
D. C.
London hotels are always difficult to review due to the expensive rate (£110 per night as it was half full) . This was an average Travelodge with an ok breakfast although I would have got better food anywhere else in that part of London for £9 but for me the room was booked B&B. The room was mostly clean with a dirty spoon in a cup.
D. P.
Advice to all : bathtub very small and very slippery. I fell and could not get out of bathtub for half hour , Luckily I grabbed a huge towel and was finally able to get out. Be careful not to slip. Ŧhey gave me another room with shower only. Luckily I did not get hurt badly. There are bars to hold on too and by grabbing one of these , prevented me from hitting my head.
Personnel is very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and had a nice choice of food. Bring you're iphone, or ipad as there is no alarm phone in room. there are 2 usb connectors though. No phones in rooms to contact receptionist. Wifi did not work with ereader , so i could not use Skype.
Hotel is close to many attractions . Buses immediately in front of hotel.
Oh and most important. Be very careful when crossing the streets of London. Always wait to cross where indicated . wait for the little green man light. As cars , buses , motorbikes , bicycles , trucks can come either way . Very confusing streets. Check this out on youtube.
D. S.
It is a very good place to stay if you are in a budget. Located at the city centre and Tesco is just next to the place. Room is clean and simple. But it you need a hair dryer you can only borrow from the reception and only for 1hour.
t. l.
Location is great for old Street, morgate or barbican. We were there for a wedding in Barbican which was a short walk away. The service was very friendly and efficient. The room was pretty basic but most importantly the bed was very comfortable! We had a room at the back which I would think was quieter than the front which is right on the main road.
C. C.
Very friendly staff. Convenient location. I bought the 7 days bus pass to use in London which is very cheap (only ~ 22 pounds). It is easy to access everywhere near the hotel using the bus. It is near to Shoreditch with lots of eateries. Easy walk to Bricklane and Spitalfield (around 15 mins). The room and bathroom is bigger than I thought. A lot of family and kids staying in the hotel which makes it a good vibe. However, we came to London at the hottest days they ever had and I am surprised it does not have air-conditioning, provided that I paid ~80pounds per night (breakfast is also excluded). Besides, I would not say the room is not clean but I think there are still room for improvement. I think for the money I paid I can get something better.
T. W.
As you would expect with a Travelodge; comfy bed, simple en suite, kettle, iron, etc, views out the window were fairly grim and restaurant charged a surcharge on simple foods but not so much as to offend
G. K.
Great location, short walk to Underground and easy walking distance to Liverpool St Station. Plenty of bars and restaurants near by and also a Tesco's Extra practically next door. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms spotless and comfortable and breakfast was great. Will definitely use again!
J. E.
We stayed here to visit family in the centre of London, the location was fantastic and ideal for visiting tourist attractions or enjoying the nightlife. It's a short walk to Oldham tube station and about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Shoreditch. The rooms were very clean and all of the staff were friendly. We would definitely stay here again, especially considering the price.
A. E.
We stayed here due to the proximity to St Pancras (short 10 min taxi ride) and attending a conference at the nearby Brewery. While the king side bed is comfortable, the spare camp beds are like lying on chipboard with a duvet the size of a towel. Strangely the TV channels were in alphabetical order. The buffet style breakfast is priced at 7.95 but wouldn't say the food quality matches the price.
S. R.
Good central London location so pricy for a Travelodge. Decent buffet breakfast. No air con so can get warm. Noisy if you leave the windows open but it is central London.
P. D.
Decent sized room, bar open late and good overall experienxe of staff. However at 1.30PM i was advised I'd need to pay £10 or wait until 2 to check in - £10 for half hour(in the afternoon) wasn't impressed.
Then at night, in my paricular room, there was a loud thudding from the ground floor.
These two things are the only things preventing 5 stars.
L. G.
Brilliant location, really lovely rooms. We had a saver one and it was great. Good tea and coffee facilities and a free kit Kat! Highly recommend
D. J.
Ideal location close to Old St and Moorgate tube stations for our family 4 day stay. Clean room and friendly staff. Food options adequate but many excellent eateries in the immediate vicinity.
M. B.
Excellent value for money. Clean rooms, even had a little kettle, tea coffee etc. Great variety and value breakfast included, and beds too comfortable, had to drag myself out of it :-) In central London which is actually East, but it's close to the underground so you can easily get all around London.
Thank you Travelodge... I look forward to coming back!
P. M.
A decent night sleep, a good location and I liked the amenities (especially the coffee pod machine). However, my TV didn't work and the shower only got to a luke warm temperature.
L. R.
Good bed with clean facilities. Wi-fi not easy to connect, and TV remote without batteries. Overall value for money.
P. P.
Cheap rooms in the centre of London. Tube station ten minutes walk away. Didn't try the breakfast but everything else was good. Halls are starting to look a bit tired, but the rooms look recently refurbished. Very good value!
D. L.
Nice hotel. Convenient location. Staff was okay. Nice breakfast offer. The room was spacious but needed a bit more cleaning in the bathroom.
J. H.
Very friendly staff welcome and helpful throughout. Breakfast was good and the minor problems with the hot drinks machine was quickly resolved.
Room was compact but at cheap prices nothing to complain about.
Would recommend to all
V. M.
Good location near two underground station, Northenline Old street and Mooregate ~500m.
Bus stop just front of the main entrance.
Good breakfast.
Good TV.
Minus one star because no aircondition in our room, not good when +33°C heat wave hit the London.
N. m.
Very quiet confortable room on this family-friendly hotel, very good English breakfast. Would be a good idea to accept payment in EUR/USD and give change in GBP, if you pay cash have pounds ready
R. T.
Nice location and modern rooms. Didn't use the restaurant as there are so many other options in the area. Great access for the tube and a reasonable walk to most sights. Will look at using again in the future.
T. M.
Whilst the staff where nice and friendly, the rooms were slightly dated, in need of renovation, did not have air conditioning. The breakfast is a buffet, and is acceptable, at best.
J. L. (.
Great location and easy access to the train station. Tesco extra less than one minute away, Chinese opposite. Got 4g reception with ee. The sockets in the room are all usb so you can charge the mobile/tablet etc. T.v has great reception. WiFi is at a cost but no need due to the fact you get excellent mobile reception.
J. M.
Really good stay, we able to swap our late check out for early check-in on the day. Had a small issue with our room key not working, but this was sorted quickly and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff.
a. M.
It is not the best option i would say as it is not very clean but location is very convenience in city center to have an access to business areas. Breakfast is so so. To be more precise the only advantage is the location otherwise quality is below the average
J. O. T.
Clean comfortable rooms, particularly superior double on 6th floor, ok breakfast but could have healthier options, porridge etc. Vegetarian sausages sitting next to pork sausages, give a miss , good location to Shoreditch and tube 5 mins, would stay again, if flying to London city airport
S. M.
Stayed for a week in this hotel. Found the location ideal. The buffet breakfast was good and available at suitable times. Staff very approachable and friendly. Will use again.
S.
Check in was quick. Room was clean and sheets were changed while I was out. My only complaint is that it is really easy to slip on the bathroom floor and shower, even when dry.
F. N.
Great hotel to stay in. Clean facilities. Although it lacks essentials like free WiFi. Staff are lovely and breakfast was great. Just don't understand why the WiFi needs to be paid for in this day and age.
H. h.
Very nice hotel with cosy rooms in the center. Everything you need is in there except for free WiFi. They promise 30 minutes for free and then you have to pay. I couldn't get even those free 30 minutes to work.
N. P.
One night stay at a clean but pretty basic Travelodge. It's not a good location and the staff are always friendly and courteous. I was disappointed the restaurant had already closed when I arrived as I don't don't think 9.30 was particularly late.
J. C.
Hotel wasn't that great. You have to pay 5 pounds a day for wifi. There's no a/c and the hallways were extremely hot and stuffy. Only some of the staff were friendly. The location is somewhat convenient; about 7 minute walk from Old Street tube station. Pret a Manger 4 mins away and Tesco next door.
R. J.
Great place in the city if you're in town for work. The rooms are clean, functional and their morning breakfast spread is pretty good too
D. K.
This was the best Travelodge I stayed in (I stayed in one elsewhere but it wasn't very nice). Nice clean rooms and lovely breakfast. I would stay again!
S. H.
Well priced and clean rooms. Close to Old Street Underground Station and multiple shops/cafes within a 5 minute walk. Large bar/restaurant area and room service available. Free limited WiFi included.
I. K.
Close to all attractions and 3 tube stations near by. wifi didn't work but they credited charge however taking away star for inconvenience it caused during stay. Good breakfast to start our day was plus. Staff was very helpful we could leave the bags 3 hrs before check in will surely stay again when I am in London
M. H.
Price was reasonable - especially central London midweek. Room clean. Bed comfortable.
Poor service in restaurant - manager responded very well when he was made aware. Assumption is that it was a one-off bad day.
B. B. H.
Nice bar and breakfast rooms are pleasant enough but quite hot in the summer. They do provide fans though which does help. Great location for the city and only 5-10 mins from Old Street and Motivate tubes
S. B.
Spacious rooms, large beds, all you can eat breakfast, comfortable, friendly, and all you normally expect from a Travelodge. Only negative, it is located on a busy road. Make sure you request a room too the rear.
S. B.
Great location, lovely clean rooms, friendly helpful staff. Bus stop right outside makes exploring London very easy. Would greatly recommend, can't wait until our next visit.
M. S.
Great Central Hotel for London
Everything in walking distance of capital
j. s.
Central for all tube stations. Staff welcoming and friendly. Beds comfy.
Buffet Breakfast very tasty.
Ideal place to stay for a weekend when exploring London.
J. S.
Nice “budget” hotel in the city, very busy specially on weekends. Wifi is not free and is 3 pounds per day. Clean and comfy beds.
G. C.
The Travelodge itself was exactly as to be expected. Clean, well provisioned and on bus route. When I asked about availability of parking I was assured secure 24 hour parking was nearby. The exboritant cost of this however was not made clear.
R. D.
Nice room. Has bar and restaurant. Convenient location for my work. Ask for a "super room" they are the refurbished rooms with better facilities and decor. Free KitKat's in the room, you can't complain at a free KitKat.
S. P.
Perfectly fine, no instructions for the coffee machine, maybe a club close by as very loud music coming through the closed windows until around midnight, but otherwise, comfortable and clean.
L. S.
Fantastic location...5 mins walk to tube station and a bus stop right outside with buses every few mins, direct to places like London bridge & Kings Cross. Beds super comfy. Staff very friendly. Breakfast good.
B. R.
The default work hotel, it does the job.
E. S.
Very good location - the biggest London landmarks are in the walking distance. Bus stop right in front of the hotel, very easy to transport to any bus or train station and even travel outside of London.
Wifi could be included in the room price, not charged separately.
A. C.
Typical Travelodge experience, rooms were comfortable, service was great, add-on fee for WiFi was a touch annoying. All this however with the benefit of an excellent location in easy walking distance of Old Street and Moorgate Underground stations
S. T.
Good basic hotel room we had a family which had plenty of room for the 3 of us, reasonably priced with breakfast included
Clean and tidy and was allowed to check in early.
Very pleased.
A. H.
Does the job. Furnishings are clean and workable but a little worn. Comfortable bed and good sound proofing. Lighting is a bit dull. Lovely restaurant though.
K. W.
Perfectly positioned for the Barbican with lots of vegan food available in the area. Its also super quick to get to from St Pancras station if you're arriving by train. Only 2 stops on the Northern Line.
The lady who checked us in was lovely and friendly.
M. “. M.
Room was fine, but the internet access wasn't worth paying for - it was barely usable. I was here for a week for work and had to resort to buying a wifi box from the local EE store. Also, had to resort to Deliveroo due to the fact that the restaurant had been limited to just generic pizzas (with no notices about it).
That said, I'm willing to give things a second chance - so going to give it another go and see what happens.
B. G.
Exactly fine for what we needed: low budget, clean, and centrally located. We took the underground from two nearby stations and we able to navigate easily. The staff was helpful when there wasn't a crazy long line at the desk, and we were able to make very last minute reservations when our lodging fell through. One star off for lacking a couple of amenities/ temperature control.
M. D.
Very good compared to many Travelodges. Quality rooms. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Only down side is the restaurant. I had 2 evening meals there. Neither were worth the money.
R. K.
This is the best Travel Lodge I've stayed in. It's clean, still looks smart and given it's location is near several tube stations and many good eating places on Old Street. The hotel itself is a couple of miles from Euston Station and is easy enough to get to via taxi/tube. It's on City Road, which is pretty busy, my hotel room was at the back of the hotel and was reall y quiet. Breakfast is simply a buffet, with a choice of hot/cold food and kellogg's cereals. It's a bit strange that the restaurant is at the front of the hotel and looks out over City Road, but you soon get used to it. Food in the hotel is the usual type of hotel fare - nothing fancy, and given the array of eateries within 10 minutes walk you would do well to get out and see what you can find.
M. L. P.
Really good hotel in the centre of London. Clean and well treated rooms, really good reception. The hotel is located near old street tube station and in front of a bus station. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel's restaurant.
A. W.
Very good value for money. Nice and centralised for london sight seeing. Amazing view from the windows (got a corner room). Plesant little restraunt with reasonably priced food within the hotel (perfect after the long journey down). Plenty of choice of NPC car parks close.
Only issue was trying to keep water in the shower as the shower head was non adjustable.
R. F.
Rather dissapointing to arrive and find fire alarm continually sounding for several hours and water cut off in room! However, staff helpful and room is clean. Would stay again
K.
Good accommodation. Very clean room and bath. Comfortable bed. Nice and helpful staff. Will definitely book again.
R. G.
Very handy for Moorgate station. Rooms clean and tidy with the amenities you expect from Travelodge. Good food, especially the sticky toffee pudding. No complaints 😊
B. P.
Totally fine except for the rooms being unbelievably hot! They'd probably save a lot of money if they didn't have the electric radiators turned up to 11 before the guests arrive.
M. N.
Great location. Happy with free upgrade to superior room.
All in good condition and nice and clean.
It's a Travelodge - good value.
R. D.
Great hotel, but being woken at 6am by the fire evacuation alarm was not fun and especially walking 7 fights of stairs. This also meant the water stopped working. Couldn't have a shower and no breakfast could be served. Got a refund.
J. G. M.
Convenient location, 24h bar downstairs, 30 min free WiFi, decent breakfast. The lifts are still a pain and the whole thing a bit basic. But overall, it's good.
T. P.
Room absolutely fine. Clean and tidy. No air-conditioning but wasn't necessary on my stay. Good central location close to Moorgate and Liverpool Street.
R. M.
Great City location near Finsbury Square. Rooms usually clean and quiet though no air con so can be hot when the weather has high temperatures. Friendly staff and no fuss breakfast buffet.
d. b.
Rooms and staff great, but they need more staff at breakfast, kept on running out of plates cups and cutlery. Tables not cleared very quick, which lead to arguments between customers.
C. B.
Great choice for a stay in London. The rooms, even the simplest ones, are comfortable and clean and the staff polite and helpful. Great location for East End and the city. Would go back.
J. L.
The location was ideal - it was close to where I needed to be and the underground station was close by although, there were alot of roadworks going on at the time so driving around was a nightmare. The room was acceptable considering the price I got although, the bathroom could have been better.
P. R.
Decent room with good service from reception staff. Restaurant a disaster however, with appalling service and below average food. Guests bringing in Subway sandwiches to eat at the tables, which I've never seen anywhere else!
M. J.
Well what can I say ideal location for us our daughter in Guildhall came back to hotel ,dripping wet where we were greeted with hot dry towels from Alex and her manager Ewelina Which was very much appreciated Thankyou excellent customer service
m. a.
Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and simple. Nothing special but a good cost effective place to stay. Great location close to tube stations.
G. W.
The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were professional at all times and the room was clean and made up to a good high standard. Will stay here again.
M. H.
Staff really nice and friendly. 5 min walk from underground and bus stop right outside plus tesco next door. Comfy beds...slightly small room but if you're looking for a Base to see London then it's perfect. Thanks to all staff.
s. l.
Noise Lack of air circulation Fire alarm test info not correctly advertised. Food and drink in bar over priced. Breakfast some days where fine, some days were awful. Gluten free options were not correctly advertised
m. t.
Pleasant room, freshly decorated including USB charge points. Good breakfast, friendly staff on reception & very close to my meeting the following day!
D. K.
It's identical to all the other Travelodges in every single respect. A budget hotel with firm comfortable beds and little else. Beware - unbearably hot rooms in summer due to lack of AC.
J. G.
The room was fine, but the window didn't seal very well so it was quite noisy during the night. Breakfast was fine on our last night.
G. S.
Helpful staff- the room was smaller than a usual Travelodge but it served it's purpose. USB chargers by the bed but be careful as these can cause the electrics to blow!
S. P.
Functional and well located. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast service is decent and convenient for a headstart to the day whether you're in for work or play.
J. H.
I honestly can't complain as everything was as it should be. My only slight annoyance is that there is a ten pound charge if you want to check in early which is fine however they only offered it one hour prior and on the website it says three hours. Food was pretty good though and staff were really friendly. Will be there again.
R. F.
There was a lot of wasted space in the room. It looked like there might be leaks and some mold in the bathroom. It was hard to sleep as you could hear all of the noise outside but a security member of staff complained the tv was too loud when it was barely covering the noises from outside.
k. p.
All good for an overnight stay. Rooms clean and reasonabley priced. Full english breakfast all you can eat pretty cheap. Tea, cofee, hairdryer and irioning board and iron. Lots of Towels and shower gell ect. We would stay againg. BTW. nearest underground is old street underground.
