Staff mostly helpful. Room heating not working. When asked electric heater brought to room and also an extra duvet as requested. Almost comical situation vat the bar. Manager eventually involved and resolved it quickly but it took ages up to that point. Drinks good value though.

For the price this is a great place to stay. The location is great...easy walking distance to the Southbank centre, Tate Modern and Covent Garden just a bit further but still definitely walkable. The rooms are basic but clean and well maintained. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Only reason for not giving it a 5 is because the heating system in the rooms was broken (but a stand alone heater was provided) and there was a bit of a wait for our family room to be ready when we arrived. I would definitely stay here again though, it's good value and although basic you know what you are getting and we found it a great base for a Christmas trip to London. Would definitely recommend.

The staff were amazing especially Lovey Wendy who was brilliant with my son who has Autism and the two guys who were on in the evening. They made sure his food was in separate pots and gave him so much love while we stayed. The food is amazing, always tastes great and they are happy to accommodate you.
The place is really clean and felt like it was a home from home with the added staff to give you help!
I am a wheelchair user and the one issue we did have was that we couldn’t have a disability family room, however there is room for this looking at a disabled room my daughter stayed in. There is more then enough room for an extra bed and for a wheelchair to have the space to move!
Disabled people have families too so to have this would make the stay excellent.
The disabled rooms mirror was to heigh for a wheel chair user to see into it, which was a little silly so I wonder how many disabled wheelchair users they have had. I was placed into a normal room so didn’t have an accessible shower. I couldn’t get down the corridor in the morning in my chair as the cleaning trollers were all out so caused a blockage, It would have been nice to have had my family (3 rooms) on one floor not 2 (1st and 8th) to avoid the running up and down in the lift.
It’s these small details which if looked at would change our next visit as we will return.

Stayed for two nights in October 2021. I found the hotel good value at an average of £40 per night without breakfast or WiFi.
It’s well located, being 10 minutes walk from Waterloo for both main line and Underground trains, plus a choice of bus routes only metres away too.
The hotel has a restaurant and bar on the ground floor doing breakfast and dinners, but as a vegetarian there didn’t seem enough choice for me. There are plenty of places to get food nearby to either take away or eat in.
There’s several green spaces to go in the area and the Imperial War Museum is an easy 10 minute walk away via quiet streets too.
The hotel is larger than it looks. From the front it seems to have three floors, but there’s actually eight floors. There are only two smaller lifts though (pretty quick too) and the stairs are alarmed and only for emergency use.
My room was on floor 8. It was quiet, comfortable and a decent view out the back above the roofs. Cleaning was okay, but some bits of dust and cobwebs plus some stains on the carpet let it down a bit.
Reception staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Happy to stay here again.

Stayed overnight on a Saturday in Jan. This is definitely one of the best Travelodges I've ever stayed in. I did pay a little extra for their premium room and I believe it was worth it. Room was on the 7th floor so had no road noise. Room was clean and spacious, usual king size bed a bit on the firm side but that's all travelodge beds. Excellent choice of lighting controls in the room, even had a twilight feature where just enough light to see in dark if waking up needing the loo but not waking up your partner. Shower was great with considerately designed shower curtain which curved out so didn't cling to the body. Room had hairdryer, iron, and ironing board (you can usually just ask for these anyway but nice to have in room). The room also had a coffee machine, 2 instant hot chocolates and 2 kitkats which you don't usually see in a travelodge room. Couldn't get aircon to stay on for more than a few seconds but did have small but efficient heater in room. While the lights were on, they generated a constant quiet but audible hum. It stopped when the lights were turned off. I didn't sample the bar/restaurant. Staff seemed friendly and helpful enough. I would have no hesitation returning.

Partner and I went and really it was disaster! I felt for the staff, who were helpful despite everything. Bottom floor of hotel had flooded meaning rooms needed to be evacuated. We were put up in another room, but after a two hour wait when we were initially told it would only be 15 minutes. The review would probably have been worse, but we were fully refunded and the manager was very helpful! I think this place is in dire need of some TLC from Travelodge, but the location is great for staying in London

The hotel can be found a 5-6 minute walk along a well lit and busy street from Waterloo station. With a quick check-in, the room had all the necessities including an ironing board, fan and additional electric heater and a window which opened. There was no bath tub or luggage rack to unpack your case which would have been nice. The wall mounted heater was also a bit noisy. The small bar/lounge area was lively and welcoming. All was going well with our stay however we were woken early than we would have liked the first morning of our stay by banging on the wall and general noise and loud voices which we put down to other patrons next door. However, exactly the same thing happened the following morning and on investigating it was maintenance men repeatedly accessing a cupboard next door to the room and trailing an electric extension across the floor presumably to do some kind of work. On asking them what the noise was they seemed oblivious and unconcerned about the amount of noise it was creating in our room. It would have been much better if they conducted this after oheck-out time or put some sound insulation in this room to avoid waking customers up. We stayed on the 1st floor.

Well situated 5 mins from Waterloo Station. Bus stop bikes and taxis all there.Has Breakfast and Dinner and a Bar.Busy but not noisy at night.Would stay again.
P. S.
Breakfast buffet is good. Has predictable and cost effective evening meals (burgers pizzas currys and vegan options) there's a bar with big 📺 tvs. The beds are comfy enough but the shower room is tiny. In my opinion the bathroom cleaning standards weren't great.
Good enough, staff are nice, good prices for central London.

I was quite impressed with the place. Small and perfect for a weekend visit to London in a pretty good location with plenty close by for food etc.
Cheap and cheerful and would happily go back again.
E. G.
Lovely room, very clean, staff efficient, particularly the general manager with glasses (think his name began with Z but I didn’t catch it), was lovely he served us at the bar, was really kind and so sweet 😇 would recommend 100%! Also close to the station!
The only thing to be aware of is the area, however this is unrelated to the actual hotel! I’d stay here whenever I come back to London :)
K. H.
Hotel was well located, clean and staff were friendly. My daughter left her iPad in the room and when we realised when we got home a called and the manager called me back within a few minutes and arranged to post the iPad back to me that Monday. It arrived safely on Tuesday. So helpful I really appreciate the effort.
S. C.
Extremely efficient staff who went above and beyond. Upon arrival we were checked in by Idil who very kindly looked up bus services on her own phone for us, also, at breakfast, Wendy was lovely, cheerful, helpful and very friendly. Room was nice and clean, as was the rest of the hotel.
Some air conditioning in the restaurant, bar and entrance wouldn't go amiss though.
R. N.
Room carpet stinks and bad management as observed during breakfast. Cheap place to stay within london, we opted as had availability at last minute.

5/5 star for LONDON WATERLOO TRAVEL LODGE.
I usually don’t write reviews but this time I can’t control myself.
Booked hotel for 3night in London waterloo and trust me it was way more better then expected.
- Friendly staff
- Clean Room
- Great location
- Excellent Customer service inside hotel
Not to mention
I left my JBL Flip 5 speaker in the hotel room while checking out and realised it when I was returning back to Stafford.
They called me back and promised to keep it safe until someone come to it pickup. My friend picked it for me without any problem.
If you are planning to book room in London waterloo . Se1 8ux travel lodge is the best . 🤟🤟🤟🤟

Toilet too close to bathroom door in our room makes for uncomfortable ablutions. Breakfast was average...plate shortage, bent cutlery, hot food and bread slow to be replenished. Staff in this area don't look to working harmonious with each other. Location of hotel is great.
P. P.
Good base if you're visiting Central London. A short walk from Waterloo station and plenty of amenities on your doorstep. If you're travelling by car there's a car park a short walk away on Cornwall Road.
Room was small as was the bathroom but it had everything that you'd need. Bed seemed smaller than the advertised King Size but was comfy. Air con unit kept turning itself off after a couple of minutes but the room had an electric heater so we used this. Rooms are not being cleaned or tea/coffee topped up during your stay due to Covid although you can request extra from reception. 'Super' rooms come with a Lavazza coffee pod machine which is very loud and a couple of KitKats.
Didn't use the restaurant as there's plenty of better options around for similar prices. The bar was busy in the evenings and has plenty of seating as long as you don't mind sitting up high, for thise who would struggle to get up there seating is somewhat limited.
A. A. P. (.
Stayed here one night. It was ok - Room was clean and hotel was quite busy which isn't bad though. Wifi should be free now its 2021 and thats why only 4 stars. Train station is walking distance and so is the other tourist locations.
D. M.
It was OK, the rooms are pretty small and lack some features like a bath and the whole place was a little grubby. Mattress wasn't the best either but it was enough for the price
K. S.
Good value. Recent refurb well done. Excellent location for South Bank and central London. Helpful staff. Good sized rooms
M. M.
Really nice staff, was given a super quiet, out of the way room.
Very clean and comfy bed. Will use this location again. Picture is view from the room.
G.
Lovely travelodge nearby to station, McDonald’s, Tesco etc. Rating 4 star due to the staffs kindness, efficiency and general cleanliness, the only reason I wouldn’t put it as a full 5 star is that the location is a bit dodgy at night but that’s not travelodges fault as much - also in the two rooms booked, one had a squeaky door (just unlucky that we received this one) other than that amazing price for what we received and spectacular breakfast compared to other brands of hotels.+ has a bar, gin galore and massive restaurant menu. Amazing location for the attractions though - London Eye, Aquarium, dungeons, Big Ben, Parliament, Westminster area all within walking distance!
L. T.
Rooms clean and tidy. Comfortable beds and great breakfast
L. K.
It is okay. The heating in the room was not working but the provided heater. They said this challenge has been ongoing.I hope it gets fixed soon because it is not a good look for the hotel
R. D.
Excellent hotel, central location near to Waterloo Station. Rooms basic but well maintained.
L. W.
Good value for money.
Only let-down was lack of mask wearing/enforcement and my room smelled unpleasant the first few days.
D. D.
Get what you expect for the price. Clean enough. Friendly staff. Good location close to Waterloo station
I. P.
The staff were brilliant, let down by the hotel, needing a revamp, and that's the companies fault, shame as we would look else where in the future
K. A.
Lovely room, clean, peaceful, comfortable bed. Kind receptionists. Perfect!
T. O.
I haven’t a clue what the rooms are like as I didn’t stay there, but nearly two years later my husband and I still remember our steak and ale pie dinner there as one of the absolute best meals we had in all of England. More than all of the fancy restaurants that we ate in. Maybe we were hungry, maybe we were just surprised, but I was absolutely amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
l. l.
Great stop over. Clean tidy. Staff helpful..food menu good choice of beverages.handy for central London
J. T.
Love the location where the hotel is based. Literally walking distance to Waterloo station and london eye. Shame about the rooms arent getting made everyone morning. Any fresh towels or toilet paper must be requested at reception which you end up with a massive pile of wet towels. Lucky the weather wasnt that hot as the ac just turns itself off after 5 min. The carpet seems to be very wet after the use of the shower and left a slight smell of urine.
J. W.
I stayed on 8th July. Was greeted by very polite, informative and helpful Hannae. In the evening, I was served by a very helpful lady in the bar (cant remember her name) for dinner. Room very nice and clean, but the air con didn't work (turned itself off after 2mins regardless of the timer set) and also the window didnt open, so very stuffy night (room 805), but overall a great stay. They really hit the jackpot with their staff!
j. w.
me and my friend went to this hotel for a weekend away and for my friends birthday as well. All of the staff here were really helpful. but 1 think i did notice was our room was a bit stuffy but i would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location was great 2 min walk from Waterloo station dinner was good buffet had nice food selection of cereals toast spreading's rooms were clean very modern inside if I ever come back to London I will most likely come back.

Perfect for the money lovely reception staff and clean.

I stayed here for work in early May. I'll start with the good. It cost £42.99 for the room for one night, and considering that you are a stones throw away from central London and everything the city has to offer was very reasonable. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, modern and comfortable. The bed was comfy and the sheets were fresh and clean. The room smelt clean and fresh, unlike some other budget hotels that smell of stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom was spotless, and clean, fluffy towels were provided. The staff I dealt with were polite and pleasant.
The things that weren't so good: At the particular time I was staying, they were not doing food due to covid restrictions, so no dinner or breakfast which wasn't a huge deal, but did mean I had to go elsewhere for food which wasn't ideal after a hard day at work, when all i wanted to do was relax in my room and perhaps venture down to the restaurant for something to eat. You don't get free Wifi, as advertised. You actually have to pay £3.99 for 24 hours of use of the hotels Wifi. If you can't or wont pay the wifi charge, you get no internet. This was a little annoying as it was advertised as free, full wifi use for all guests, which was not the case.
I had my nights sleep interrupted on several occasions, and i really didn't feel all that safe. In the room next to me were some guests who were either drunk or on drugs, and began to have a heated domestic in the corridor, shouting at each other in what i think was Romanian, which resulted in a full blown fist fight between two men, at around 11:30pm. One of them ended up pinned up against my room door and i thought the door was going to give way and cave in. Another guy came out of their room and managed to split them apart, but the argument and shouting went on for another 10 minutes. I called the reception and they contacted hotel security who arrived in a car about 10 minutes later. They then started shouting abuse at the security guys, and they called the Police who arrived about 10 minutes after that. One of the men was taken out of the hotel by Police and arrested, shouting and swearing as they removed him from the building. By now it was way past mid-night and I had not gotten any sleep due to the disturbance. Once that had all quietened down, I thought I was finally going to get some shut eye until another separate incident happened outside the front of the hotel between a group of street drinkers. They were shouting and swearing and fighting among themselves. Again the Police were called out and people were taken away or ordered to leave the area. This was all going on at past 1 am in the morning.
I would have given this particular Travel lodge a 4 or 5 star review, as there were genuinely good things about the place. It's great value for money, in a close location to central London, with clean rooms and polite, courteous staff. But I just didn't feel all that safe.. with the fight in the corridor and the mass brawl in the street outside.. Maybe I was just very unlucky and stayed on a night were all of these things were happening that never normally happen. But the fact of the matter is I can only go by my own experience, and I woke up the next day after about 2-3 hours sleep feeling tired and stressed out. For that, it's a 3 star review and I think that's being generous.
E. T.
Clean and cheerful! Not too expensive and enough places to eat around too.
W. M.
Perfect hotel and location, friendly and caring staff, always ready to help.

I booked this hotel when celebrating my birthday in December 2019, and I had the best experience! The staff were extremely helpful and catered to all our needs. I had told them that I was coming to celebrate my birthday, when we entered our room, there was a card and a complimentary bottle of champagne waiting for us on the table. They were very easy when we asked for a later check out time in the morning too. The hotel itself was very comfortable, clean and central. Would definitely book it again and would highly recommend it! They made my birthday a memorable one, a very happy customer :D . Thank you Travelodge London Central Waterloo!

Pay for what you get. But this was exceptional.. staff and rooms. Facilities work spot on.

Stayed here a few times. Hotel is near the railway station. Staff are very helpful
J. B.
A pleasant surprise, this hotel has recently undergone a huge refurb and it shows. My room was spotless, fresh, comfortable and very modern. I have previously stayed at the Travelodge in Marylebone which in comparison is beaten up, dated and not a patch on this hotel. I will be returning and would recommend to everyone else to give this place a try. Also very friendly front desk staff.
g. l.
Newly renovated, great location , receptionist gave two keys without asking even
b. G.
Great location friendly staff, bed shower and out, good breakfast too
B.
Very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. You get a lot more then what you pay for. Rooms are tidy, very clean. You have loads of space. I'm genuinely impressed with my room. I would come back another time
V. M.
Good travelodge hotel, very near Waterloo station, ideal for sightseeing london
J. J.
Exceeded our expectations! The room was very spacious and fit two adults, one child, and tons of luggage easily. Clean, quiet, comfortable beds, kettle and coffee in room, tv with lots of stations, and a good shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only slight issue was even with the heat off it was too warm and there was no a/c so we had to keep the window open even though it is January, but other than that everything was great.
N. W.
Perfect basic hotel for a brief stay in London. Room was clean and functional. It was not noisy at night. Has a nice little bar area with a good selection of gins. Within easy walking distance of Waterloo station.
S. C.
In a plus room but much smaller than my standard room stays…
Good price and easy to get to, but staff not knowledgeable about rooms. Good base but this time the room was much smaller and I get claustrophobic!
Coffee machine okay but no Instructions. Good to have an iron and hairdryer in the room. Window very tall and narrow… comfortable but not as good as last visit.
O. N.
Stayed in a family room, it was super spacious for 4 of us. The room is new, bright and clean. Only 5 minutes walk from Waterloo.
j. m.
A very convenient location. Beds comfortable and certainly gives a quiet night if you are high up and at the back.
Waterloo station within easy walking distance even got this OAP. Nice touch having milk and tea always available at the front desk. Bags can be left securely before check-in time. Staff friendly.
Curtains not fully on their hooks, soap dispenser still not working after being reported.
H. “. J.
Decent sized room and a wide variety of breakfast items.
L. W.
Very friendly helpful staff.
Room is great very clean and cosy., i'm on the quiet floor and its silent .

Looking forward to returning today.A very clean Hotel. Very friendly Reception staff.
So central . Rooms very quiet , had a good view also . Better quality than other Travel Lodges
S. D. N.
Clean but rooms are not made up on a daily basis
S. R.
Super room was good, breakfast not bad.
N. L.
I went there for 2weeks, and the staff was completely friendly, the room amazing ever 2 days the change all my bed, the breakfast fast with good quality and hot food. Dinner, the food on time, hot and with good quality. It’s a really good hotel for family. Thank you
L. M.
Had a super room and it was brilliant. The light switches are cool as they say what they illuminate and is almost like a light menu. The coffee machine was a lovely touch and great selection of hot drinks and a snack are provided free of charge. The showers are great, with 3 options of pressure with one being a massage setting.
The bed was comfortable, room was impeccably clean and the 7th floor was quiet, so no noise disruptions to sleep.
M. G.
We checked In Christmas Eve for a week. Such an easy flow to this place. Extremely efficient & friendly. On Christmas morning we were greeted in the dining area by Jennifer & Barbera. The right people to have on the floor on Christmas morning. So warm & friendly.
Lifts were very fast. The reception & bar staff create a very nice atmosphere. Breakfast had a huge variety We ate dinner as well- extremely nice. Every is out this place ticks boxes. Location, service, price, room size and comfortability. This is the best Travelodge we’ve stayed in. ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
J. K.
Friendly staff, big clean rooms. But the air condition unit made noise all night we moved room and again (not as bad) still making noise like they were pumping water regardless of if they were on or off.
Staff acknowledged the issue, apologised, and compensated us for the inconvenience.
O. T.
Me and my wife needed a place to stay for a few hrs near St Thomas hospital. I have to confess I wasn't expecting such a good experience. The hotel looks very clean, the twin room we requested was large & airy, we had AC, comfortable beds, big bathroom. The staff were nice and kind, especially the english lady at the bar. I can't really fault the place but the most impressive thing was probably the cost. £79 for a place this clean within walking distance to London eye is a little bit of a steal.
Good job.
T. M.
From the moment we walked in the staff and ambience of the hotel have made our 2 night stay absolutely awesome!!! Friendly, smiling and totally professional. Room was spotless and smelt fresh and clean.Thank you Travelodge Lobdon Waterloo, we will be back xx
w.
Nice clean rooms, didn't hear any noise outside during the night. Very close to the Old Vic, Victoria station, and several tube stations. The restaurant is nice and the breakfast is a good start to the day. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and polite. Would stay again!
t. m.
Nice, clean standard hotel. Did the job. Desk staff could have been more helpful. They didn't mention that there is no stairs access to the third floor. So I walked up to 4th, back down then had to get the lift. Also no iron and board in standard room. They will give you one at reception, but you do then have to carry it all the way through the hotel!! Very odd. Also when they say 'breakfast starts at 6'. That is only the continental. The hot stuff isn't on until half 6.
A.
Staff are very nice and went above and beyond what is expected of them. Breakfast selection is very good and loads of seating as well. Also liked that staff can store luggage for you as well before checkin time.
Rooms are very clean and spacious.
H. T.
Good place to stay if you are planing to visit attractions in central London.
Most of the things are at walking distance.
Really liked it's location
G. H.
I've stayed here quite a few times. Location is great. Hotel is being refurbished and they're doing a good job of it. Rooms are good quality, check in and out is easy, breakfast and bar areas are nice too. Breakfast is decent quality. Haven't tried the lunch or evening meals.
Would recommend to others.
J. S.
The location was perfect, only a 5 minute walk from Waterloo station, making getting around extremely easy. The room was basic, but suited our needs. Double bed was extremely comfortable. There was also air conditioning, a kettle and modern shower. You are given a key card to get in and out of the hotel/room,which you can access 24 hours a day, which is helpful for exploring. Overall, I was very impressed with the hotel and room. I would stay here again.
I. B.
Only a short walk from Waterloo so ideally placed if you're using this station. Modern Travelodge with the benefits that come along with that. Rooms finished nicely, nice and clean. Reception staff are good. Decent bar and pretty good looking eating option although I didn't use this. Also priced really sensibly, rare to get a decent room in a decent location in London for less than £120 a night.
S. P.
Nice clean rooms conveniently located to Waterloo area. Friendly staff. The room was well sized although bathroom a little small. Breakfast was generous but hash browns frozen in the middle and tomatoes and mushrooms raw. Thankfully meat was cooked. Good budget hotel though despite this.
R. r.
Comfy and nice rooms. The light system is real good. Usb charging sockets and plenty of room in bed sides for your tablet. All rooms with a coffee machine 🥰🥰🥰.

Stayed at the Waterloo Travelodge with my girlfriend during our recent trip to London.
Staff were friendly, and upgraded us to a better room free of charge. Room was lovely, clean and had all the necessary amenities as well as easy access to the city centre.
Very happy with my stay.
f. f.
Huge room (8th floor) very quiet for a city centre location.
Nice clean reception area and good tasty breakfast options.
Friendly staff one of the better hotels in the travel lodge chain.
Very comfortable bed slightly smaller bath than a normal one but very deep with a good powerful shower.
Plenty of towels in the room.
K. A.
Such a lovely and helpful staff. The room was extremely clean and smells really nice.
G. T.
Excellent, inexpensive central London hotel. Within easy walking distance of several Tune and train stations including Waterloo. Clean, generous-sized and well maintained rooms, polite and helpful staff. All you could want from a budget hotel.
D. A.
Great location, easy walking distance to the main London sights. Spacious room, powerful shower and really friendly staff. Can't be beaten for the price.
PS. Thanks for the valentine's chocolate 😀

My daughter and myself were fortunate enough to choose this hotel for our stay. Brilliant clean functional room, amazing staff with a special mention for Edna, Hyacinth and our receptionist who was wonderful ! I stayed in St Lucia recently and the service in Waterloo was on a par with St Lucia.
Couple of suggestions tho, a smoking area which would NOT be outside the front door, as a smoker I think its disgusting to inconvenience nonsmoker's. Small toiletries for sale either behind reception or in a machine for razors, toothbrushes and the like.
Breakfast was brill, I would go there just for breakfast at the price they charge. Love it, love it, love it *****
E. R.
Lovvely. A big thumbs up to the housekeeping staff. Well done. Rooms were very clean, fresh, bed was nice and fresh. Thanks. The breakfast was fantastic and lovely. Thanks breakfast team. The hotel altogether is a classy and straightforward place to stay. Well done staff of Travelodge.
J. H.
Very pleasant Travelodge. Area not so nice but once we'd got inside all was good. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. Convenient for Waterloo Station too.

Amazing stay for two nights at centre of the city with nice, clean and big rooms at such a bargain price... The staff was very cooperative and professional, even the security guard was very friendly and helpful... Definitely recommend for this hotel...
D. B.
Spotless, very very helpfull staff, couldnt fault anything , definately stay here again, the cleaning staff are a credit to the business, thank you for making our stay a really enjoyable one
C. G.
My wife and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago and found the room clean, warm and presentable. The only downside was that my wife found that there wasn't a socket for a hairdryer anywhere near any of the mirrors, which meant she had to dry her hair balancing her compact on top of the desk lamp, (see photos), and the rooms had only just been refurbished. A point to take note of when next you refurbish.
T. S.
Really good stay. We booked a super room which was a good size with some nice added touches and a great shower. Still a very good price. Good location 5 mins walk (if that) from Waterloo station and a 10 min walk to the South Bank. All members of staff I encountered were personable and efficient. There is work going on as part of updating and improving but they are clearly taking pains to make sure this doesn't affect people's stay.
R. L.
Travelodge in Waterloo is a really great place for many reasons, these are just a few. All the staff are very friendly but also 100% professional. The bar has a wide assortment of various spirits, wines & beers both in bottles & on tap all of which, I would say are good value for money.
The food is prepared & served to a high standard & portions are generous. The hotel itself is very clean & well maintained. I would recommend this place without a second thought.

Some staff here are a bit useless but the others are truly great. Check in staff are slow and disinterested, twice ive been ignored when staff were chatting with no apology. Bit frustrating when im usually very tired from travelling. The lady who seems to regularly cover the restaurant is great. She seems to do the work of several people, is very friendly and when shes working theres never an issue or delay. The other staff are not always so hardworking. The food however is always quite good for the cost. I regularly stay for work and usually eat in the restaurant because its convenient. Im a meat eater but my favourite menu options here are veggie or vegan so I wouldnt hesitate to stay if you are of the herbivorous persuasion. Compared to similar budget hotels there is a much better quality selection. It still wouldnt be as good as eating a meal out im sure but for convenience and cost its a good choice.
The rooms are pretty standard for a budget hotel. Theres nothing to complain about but nothing special either. Occasionally the staff forget to bring back clean mugs etc but its clean and comfy. You can see the london eye from some rooms however most windows are blocked a bit by other buildings as youd expect in central London.
P. M.
This recently refurbished hotel is just a short walk from Waterloo Station.
The rooms are on the small side but they are well ventilated. Not hot and stuffy like many city centre hotels.
Security is also good. You need a key card to get into the stairs or from the elevator to the corridors.
Well recommended for reasonably priced accommodation in central London.
L. P.
Staff amazing . Let us hold our luggage there, hours before checkin and after check in .
All you can eat breakfast was very fresh and plentiful. Rooms were immaculate lovely big room. 10/10 rating . Will stay at this Travel Lodge again for sure .

Clean friendly good value for money

Great place to stay. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The hallway on the 8th floor could use an air freshener though.
Do also keep in mind that this is a bit a ways a way from the heart of London, but you get what you pay for in terms of location.
I would recommend getting the breakfast at the hotel. It is buffet style, but it is a really great value and of good quality.

Central location.
Approximately 5-10mins (depending on your pace) walk from Waterloo station, and you will pass both a Sainsbury's Local, and Tesco Express en-route (should you wish to pick up anything/if you've forgotten anything)
There is a 'The Gym' located underneath (entrance on the side street), with day passes available for purchase if you want to get your work-out on.
Clean rooms. The 'Super' rooms add a couple of nice features above the 'Standard' rooms - basically a different/lighter colour scheme, a larger armchair, a rainfall shower head, and better tea/coffee(I think, although admittedly I cannot remember exactly, so it is best to clarify on the website).
I have stayed in both room types, and if the price was the same/if given the choice, would prefer the newer Super rooms....they just seen more modern/fresher.
Both room types are ultimately pretty basic, there is no telephone, bathrooms are 'compact' (!), BUT they are clean, functional, and serve their purpose.
The beds are comfortable and you get a selection of pillows, both soft and firm so you can mix and match to your sleepy head's delight.
Ultimately the choice is yours....do the differences/upgrades justify the increased nightly rate?
To each their own as the saying goes.
Would I stay there again?
Absolutely. It does the job, the staff are friendly, and the rates are good.

The hotel was perfectly placed for me and my boyfriend because it was a stone throw away from the tube station and we visited so many places. The hotel itself was a good place, the staff were lovely and friendly and gave us so much help when we asked them where things were. The room was clean and the room got cleaned while we were there, we only stayed two nights. All in all great :) loved our stay in london. One last thing, you have to get the breakfast! Was lovely and filled me up for the whole day!

We stayed for 2 nights as a couple from 29 April to 1 May. On arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room on the 3rd floor was extremely clean; the bathroom was spotless. Plenty of towels which were changed the next day. We had no issues whatsoever with key-cards, although one other person did to our knowledge. The breakfast could have been warmer but was lovely. Generally a very friendly, clean and welcoming place to stay and we are going back in the Autumn. Oh, and they do fantastic pizzas!
J. C.
Nice clean room to bed down whilst not sight seeing, standard Travelodge really with a nice bar that ran a happy hour. Air condition unit started leaking on our last night, informed reception who were sending someone to check. Overall a nice place to stay
J. R.
Nice hotel, 5-10 minutes walk from Waterloo main line & tube stations. Close to bus stops. Compact, clean rooms with normal amenities. Best to ask for room at the back for quieter night's sleep. Buffet breakfast good. Staff friendly and very helpful
A. R. S.
Pros: Central location. Good 24x7 restaurant. Decent selection in bar. Comfortable bed and severely spacious rooms.
Cons: No laundry facilities. Lift was down for 6 days. Clothes hanging rack does not have a door. No safes. No mini fridge.
C. P.
Great hotel, stay here for work often but would be great for families and tourists. Walkable to Southbank and milenium wheel and the dungeons etc. Rooms very comfy, beds are great. Staff always friendly. Can get anywhere easily from Waterloo Station.
M. G.
Room was a good size, clean and tidy. The bathroom was spotless, had a lovely shower and was provisioned with shower gel, shampoo and hand wash. The little coffee machine was a nice touch, I greatly appreciated the morning after coffee. Could have done with a few more milk pods though.
C. L.
We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. Although typically small for a London hotel the room was well presented with modern additions such as usb sockets, coffee machine etc. The bed itself was comfy and a decent size.
J. B.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have stayed here a few times this summer and they have always greeted me with a smile. The rooms are fabulous for a Travelodge, especially on the eighth floor overlooking the shard. An iron and board in the room, like in other Travelodges, would be a great help, though.
J. W.
Room was great. Paid extra for a super room. Unfortunately towel appeared to have been used and had brown stains on it. Informed reception who said management would be it touch but have yet to hear anything. Great trip to London only spoilt by this. Great Central location with transport links.
EDIT: After about a month I received a voucher for 50% of my stay which made up for the issues and allowed me to stay again with them for a faultless stay, albeit elsewhere.
L. M. H.
Very comfy room, we booked one for 3 adults it was spacious and came with a coffee pod machine, it was very quiet and the single put up beds very comfortable. Breakfast was of good quality and plenty of choice all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lodge is ideal location for getting to all London attractions would stay again 😁
M. L.
One if the better Travelodges I have stayed in. Nice breakfast, good bar area. As always the rooms are basic but then it is a budget hotel. Situated a few 100m from Waterloo station and within easy walking distance (about 15 min) from Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, London Eye and the South Bank area.
p. b.
As Travelodges go, this is a really good one. The rooms are clean and functional albeit quite basic. It was minus 2 degrees outside so the additional heater in the room was very welcome.
The thing that makes this particular Travelodge stand out from other budget hotels I've stated in was the restaurant. 2 courses for 10 pounds made me think the food would be as basic as the toiletries in the bathroom but I was very pleasantly surprised, The Works burger with the sweet marmalade and jalapeno toppings is genuinely very good.
Staff were all really friendly too.
D. W.
Amazing prices for the location. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff was very helpful and on hand. You're like a five minute walk from most attractions. The overall stay was Amazing & would recommend this hotel! Would happily stay here again.
S. B.
Its a good place to stay on holiday if you just want have a place to sleep. If your a person who spends lots of time in the hotel room then this place is not for you. If your staying here you can have breakfast every morning and tea there too. I recommend this to people who will be out for most of the day on holiday.
M. S.
I stayed here for a few days while on business in London. It was clean and comfortable with friendly staff and good central location easily accessible to public transport and underground. Breakfast was good. I had my dinner there once and that was the only downside as it took unusually long to be served considering it was not busy. There is no free WiFi so if you need WiFi during your stay then you need to take that cost into consideration. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a practical and comfy budget place in London.
B. K.
The rooms were nice enough but there's a lot of building work so coming up and down the lifts took time. I also didn't think the customer service was brilliant - 2 members of staff walked into my room (they knocked but only waited a couple of seconds) to test the fire alarms - I'm not sure why this wasn't done before I checked in. I also thought the staff on the reception seemed a little impatient and weren't particularly helpful.
B. L.
Very clean rooms. Staff are so friendly and helpful. One minute they were playing a game with my young son (find a station on the underground Map), the next minute helping me find a USB cable to charge my phone. They even swapped us to a different family room on the second night to allow us to have a room with a bath. This will definitely be my 'go to' hotel when in London.
M. S.
Great for any stay, staff is very friendly and helpful, I was there for just 1 night but enjoyed my stay. Great location, close to the central part with all amenities makes this a great choice. Recommended!
J. W. (.
Rooms were clean, modern and spacious.
Dinning area and food was great for the price.
The staff were friendly and professional.
The floors were also security card controlled.
The air conditioner was stuck to 30 celsius though.
C. H.
Nice location a few minutes walk from Waterloo, 10 mins from Elephant & Castle. Large restaurant for breakfast and quiet rooms.
I had the super room but it was too small. Nice touches compared to the standard room (coffee machine, chocolate, air con and better shower).
Unfortunately there was an aggressive drunk in reception when I checked in, and it was a very unpleasant situation to be put in. Security was called but all the time I was trying to check in he was shouting abuse at me. This is completely unacceptable. I hope the hotel address this and increase security for everybody's benefit.
Breakfast was also terrible, none of the food had any taste, coffee machine only did a black thick espresso coffee, all hot food was rubbery and tasteless. Not like any Travelodge I've eaten at before, and there have been many.
A. S.
Lovely hotel close to the London city centre, just 10 minutes walk away from London Eye and Waterloo train station. The rooms were clean and modern, including new usb sockets which is a plus! We have been there when it was under renovation but overall we had a pleasant stay for our two days in London. Great value for the money.
g.
Just home from a weekend in London, staying at your hotel and I would like to thank you for the service and attention shown by all members of your staff to my daughter ( Cheryl Scott ) and myself during our stay.
I am 84 years old, dependant on oxygen and EVERY member of staff went out of their way to help us. Room was perfect, meals very reasonable everything good. To me 5 Stars.
O. B.
Clean, central, friendly. Comfy bed. Good breakfast. Definitely stay here again. Good value. Nice chilled bar. Really clever to Waterloo tube station. About a 6 minutes walk, straight to the station.
M. G.
This is a great location for sight seeing close to Waterloo station.
It is spotless clean.
The beds are comfortable
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
My one recommendation is that the hotel would be better to offer free Wi-Fi as it is essential nowadays.
Otherwise the is a great place to stay for a city break.
V.
Very good location in Waterloo, perfect for walking to some touristy spots like the Eye by the river Thames, parliament building and Westminster Abbey. The rooms are simple, comfortable. There was no phone or intercom in my room so I had to go down to reception for any requests/concerns. The buffet breakfast is good... not a lot of choices and no variety during the entire week i was there but what were available taste good. The bar/resto at the lobby is open 24hrs so it is convenient for late night cap. Staff were friendly, easy to deal with and eager to help.
R. P.
Ideally located 5 minutes walk from London Waterloo, this is my second visit to this hotel. Apparently it is currently undergoing refurbishment work, though I couldn't see any signs of it. Check in was nice and easy, and my room on the fifth floor was clean and tidy. The bathroom was of the shower-only variety and was quite compact. There was an efficient air-con/heater on the wall which seems to be a recent addition (I think the rooms previously had storage heaters). The room seemed to be well insulated from outside noises. I only found out this morning when I tried to have a shower that the shower was broken resulting in the shower head only producing a fine mist of cold water. I thought it might have been an adjustable head, but nothing I did made any difference. As I was going to be leaving right after breakfast, I merely reported it to reception for them to fix after I left. Breakfast was poor - the scrambled eggs weren't very eggy, the bacon was quite dry, the beans were quite watery, and the toaster barely toasted bread on one side - I wish I'd forgone the £8-odd pound extra and just popped into Pret or Costa.
H. P.
The bed was comfy but the place was soooooo warm. It was colder in the corridor. I spoke to people on different floors and there was the same issue. It was on heat not cool and set centrally. No phones to contact reception who apparently have control. It's pretty simple, set it colder in the summer, to like 19 degrees, then you can choose to be under the covers or not. Alternatively, tell me at check in so I can ask for a colder temperature.

This hotel is a lovely stay.
Cosy bar area, decent breakfast.
Had normal room (not super) it was still very nice and up to date.
Rated full five due to very friendly approachable staff, particularly Marcio he really made our stay very welcoming.
Would definitely recommend and will be staying again.
J. L.
Nearly fully refurbished hotel. Excellent value for a central London hotel. Room not very big and not much storage but fine for a couple of days. If you need a hairdryer ask at reception. Staff were excellent.
M. S.
Loved the location, 5mins walk from Waterloo Station and to Southbank.
New refurb so all communal areas were spotless.
The room was also brand new and spotless. Had a superior room and love the coffee machine, power shower and the fact that the iron and ironing board are all in the room. Worth noting the hair dryer is next to a plug and the mirror, quite often in budget hotel they forget that details.Everything was spotlessly clean, fresh crisp bed linen and fluffy soft white towels.
The staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. I'm definately returning here again.
Excellent value for money as I paid £39 for Sunday night for both of us.
C. O.
Great value, centrally based, near Waterloo & with plenty of food outlets close by, plus a Sainsbury's...
J. J.
Lovely refurb since we last visited 2 years ago. The rooms and bar area looks lovely. It was really hot arriving so a nice touch having the ice cold water with mint and lemon on the reception. We arrived early for check in and they let us leave our bags in the luggage room. On a Monday and a Friday there is a lovely food market down the road at the side of the park just a few minutes walk from here. Lower Marsh Market it's called. The train station is just a 2 minute walk so it's in a really good location.
J. M.
Nice hotel, very calm rooms, no serious noise, lovley restaurant and bar , smiling team, wry practical as very close to Waterloo station. it is a travel lodge , don’t expect to have room service unless you ask for it , no phone in the rooms so make sure you interact with the hotel team and get your requests done before going to the room. Avoid the 8th floor unless you have very good deal, because rooms are tiny at this floor. The reception staff are very nice but in case you have an issue that they can not resolve it, ask to meet the manager directly « zivad » very nice person and professional. avoid his assistant, completely opposite to his manager.
P. O.
Recently refurbished yet somehow still not quite like a proper hotel. 30mins free WiFi, no hairdryer or ironing board, tiny room, yet still £100 a night. I know it's central London, but is a lesson on how to pare down the offering yet still call yourself a hotel. On the plus side, nice bed, good aircon and mostly very clean,
Staying for business, wouldn't choose for leisure
A. S.
The rooms are clean. The check in and check out is extremely smooth and fast. The oy thing was that the gair dryer in standard rooms were weak. Other than that, this is an amazing location. Walkable to the nearest tube station and then you can get to anywhere in London.
J. R.
Staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy, only thing that let it down was the feint smell of egg in the corridor. Left bags at reception before we left for home and staff were more than happy to take them while we explored London.
D. G.
Quite understated in looks but the stay there was great. Rooms and hallways very clean and nice, the staff all friendly, 24 hour bar a big bonus, well located, short walk to landmarks or tube station, very pleasant stay and a great price
A. Y.
Super room I ordered was great. Big comfortable double-bed with 4 different types of pillows. Room was more spacious that I would expect in London. Small but clean toilet. Carpet area near the writing table had some stains (do hotel guest have their shoes on in the hotel room?) otherwise ok with cleaniness. Forgot a pair of newly bought jeans and contacted front desk the day after check-in. The manager in charge was approached and they sent back the jeans promptly free-of-charge even though I was living in Sweden. Walking distance to train station/subway. Good location and quiet room. Will make use of this hotel if visiting London again.
L. D.
Good hotel, rooms currently being refurbished to Travelodge new SuperRooms. 5 minute walk from Waterloo station so a great location. The only issue I had was that the new air conditioning unit in the room had a liquid running in and out of the unit very noisily all night, keeping myself, my wife and daughter awake on several occasions through the night.
S. T.
Travelodge Waterloo is located fairly close to the station but if you have luggage a short taxi ride. The room I stayed in was on a quiet floor so got a good night's kip. The room for a double was smaller than other Travelodge I've stayed in before (like southwark) but as it was just me it was fine. Shower not bad although no soap in the dispenser. TV with standard freebie channels. Only gripe is breakfast being served so late (8am) on a weekend. I had to be at work at 7.30 and paid for breakfast assuming it was the same time as during the week (6am). All in all though not bad and I would probably stay again.
X. B.
Fantastic rooms. Upgraded to the super room. All amenities you would require. Plenty plug points, usb charge points, desk, iron, pod coffee machine. Fantastic shower. Clean and spotless. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. We'll done Travelodge!
i. S.
Good location; public transportation close, short walk to regent street and all of rhe famouse sightseeings.
The hotel is very simple and the rooms have some faults; we changed rooms three times; the first room was cold and noisy with a shower that wets the floor outside the shower area, the second room had a very poor shower, only some kind of rain mode, it was so weak that it was difficult to get my hair wet!, the third room was only noisy so we decided not to complaint and use earplugs instead. the noise comes from the airconditioner and I assume the water pipes? hanging exit signs in the roof, dirt here and there and trash etc under the bed, stains on the carpet, and bathroom floor very dirty. beds were very comfortable, yet a bit small for beeing king sized.
brealfast full english, not my favourite type of breakfast but thats on me, not the hotel. if you like heavy breakfast then you'd be happy with this. I prefer fresh veggies, newly baked whole grain bread, warm porridge, ham, cheese etc.
But the service was superb; the receptionist who checked us in was pretty unfriendy, but everybody else, 6 stars out of five! helpful, service oriented and flexible, got even the feeling that they are too good for a hotel like this? esp. the assistant manager Claudia deserves special thanks <3 the staff is the only reason i would come back!
L. J.
Waterloo hotel was in a fantastic location. 10 mins from station and central to everything. Breakfast each morning was cold but still edible. Rooms were spacious beds were comfy. Would definitely stay here again although would not pay for breakfast.
H. B.
Stayed here on Sunday night. Very good accommodation. Café good and pleasantly set out. Staff very friendly. This is in such a convenient location for visiting London and fairly close to underground station. Will definitely stay here again.
J. B.
Great place to stay if you are not expecting all the trimmings, you just want to get your head down. Not far to walk to Waterloo Station. The WC pan could be cleaner. Breakfast was OK, but would be better with poached eggs, their scrambled eggs were tasteless. Would I stay there again? Yes.
J. R.
The hotel was very well managed, maintained, and good value for money. The bed was very comfortable and the location was relatively easy to get to. The only issue I have was the lack of plug sockets near to the bed, I couldn't seem to find any. The staff were very polite and we'll mannered and for that, I got great value for money and would recommend this place to a friend.
M. M.
Rooms are small business style rooms, but well presented. There was no tea bags I'm the room so first thing cuppa was no go but they have lavazza coffee makers in room so if coffee is your thing it's all good. Lighting in the room is a bit hit or miss its dimmable but not intuitive so was awaken with a spotlight in the eyes where my wife was trying to get bathroom light on. Check in and out was smooth. Breakfast was included and was OK, standard cooked English or continental fair.
D. C.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. In the past 6 months I experienced 2 faults that resulted of not having any water for few hours. 8th floor is personally a nightmare as you have aircon units on top of the building and that makes the room sound like an engine room, or a ceiling lamp gets into weird resonance and starts vibrating (quite noisy). Staff let me change rooms twice (then I was eventually happy) I found that this hotel have a lot bigger rooms than one at Southwark. Generally I do enjoy my stay and have no problems at all thanks!
P. A.
It was lovely. It's been about 5 years since I last stopped there and in that time they have done some updating of the place. Room was lovely as was revamped bar and restaurant area. Will stay there again for definite
J. C.
Comfortable, and near Station and some good eating places.
C. R.
The hotel was the cheapest price we had found and it is situated within a short distance of Southbank (which is perfect), and really close to two tube stations. The rooms were standard, they were clean and well kept. The only problem we had was that the TV didn't work so we had to go downstairs quite late to fix it. After a long day shopping that was the last thing we wanted. Bwe weren't going to have breakfast, but were swayed by how cheap it is! The food was really good, I'd definitely recommend it because it saves the hassle of wasting time in London searching for somewhere to eat.
C. A.
Honestly one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. After waiting at Heathrow for about 3 hours the staff here greeted me with bright smiles and an extremely welcoming attitude. Timor ( I believe Timor is his name) went the extra mile and gave us a room on the 8th floor to secure a view. Super easy check in and really affordable. The 2 night stay kept getting better. The location is really close to waterloo station which has really great tube connections to the rest of London. 15 minute walk to the London Eye and about 20 to the Tate modern which is quite amazing. Great night sleep as one might expect. Second night was also fantastic. We came back from a long day and had some food at the in hotel restaurant. Sinem, our lovely hostess seated us and was extremely kind. All of the staff are courteous and very professional. Would stay again.
H. K.
So surprised. For the price i was expecting a grotty hotel but this place blew my expectations away. Very close to waterloo station and underground, nice lounge area, lovely all you ear breakfast. Lovely modern, clean rooms with aircon, shower, tea n coffee, flat screen tv. Late check out available at low cost supplement. Would use again
S. E.
Very central. Clean rooms. Great breakfast. Bar area a little busy in early evening. Bar area was nice and clean with big screen TV. Within walking distance to all attractions without being too central and too busy. Friendly helpful staff. Will definitely stay again
J. B.
Small but comfortable refurbished room, bathroom fittings seemed more domestic than commercial quality not sure how long they will last. A/C in bedroom. Bed comfortable, good lighting and usb charging sockets everywhere. Currently refurbishing the public areas but didn't bother me. 30 minutes free WiFi £3 for 24 hours. Buffet breakfast good, sausage a bit over herbed for me but the rest was tasty and hot.
M. G.
Conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from Waterloo station. Check in staff helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean and well maintained. We found it quite noisy at night, not great if you sleep lightly like me.
T. C.
Excellent rooms but staff little noisy setting up for next mornings as on second floor over kitchen area but very clean excellent staff great breakfast and just up road from Waterloo station
S.
Staff were lovely to me in this hotel. Even the room service lady said a cheery good morning to me. It didn't matter that I hadn't pre-booked breakfast -they just sold me a voucher at reception as I thought I'd treat myself the final morning of my stay. The staff make you feel like royalty. As ever I feel the people moaning about the staff are those repulsive arrogant types that think anyone who 'just works in a hotel' is beneath them. A few manners go a long way in life - try to remember this. As for the bizarre people moaning about having no towels: I assume you have vocal chords in your body? If so pop down to reception and use them to ask for some towels.
K. A.
Tired rooms, good service.
C. E.
Clean, very friendly and efficient staff, large rooms. Small things made a big difference - like being able to get more coffee/milk packets without having to fight for them. Would stay again!
S. P.
It's not a 5 Star hotel but it's a 5 star Travelodge. We've used a lot of Travelodges and are rarely disappointed but this was certainly one of the nicer ones. The room was clean and had air con and a heater, no view to speak of but that's inevitable! Staff were friendly and welcoming and we were impressed with the bar and restaurant as not all Travelodge have actual meals available. Breakfast was great, pleased to have decent vegetarian sausages on the menu. Can't argue for the price - we paid £111 for a double room with breakfast on a Saturday night and for 5 mins walk from Waterloo station and 10-15 mins from the South bank and London Eye etc it was spot on and we will use again. Thanks!
S. J.
Great. Air con in the room, along with freeview tv. 24 hr bar and reception. Bed is very comfy. Like a 2 minute walk from Waterloo station and the breakfast available is nice
K. L.
Lovely hotel in an excellent location. All the staff were very helpfull and friendly. The bed was very comfy and breakfast was superb. I would definitely stay here again
J. B.
I am in a disabled room, I am 5ft 8, the sink comes up to my knees!
I am gluten free, I ordered gf fish cakes for dinner last night, I am still ill, so I don't think they were gluten free! 😣
Checking out the breakfast allergens - scrambled eggs have wheat in them?? Crazy! Just not going to risk eating here again.
Bed was comfortable, room not very soundproof, street noise ok, until 8 a.m. they have started to drill!
Would I recommend, yes, because its cheaper than most, not far from all the excitement of London. There is loads to do near here & loads of places to eat... just don't risk the gf fish cakes! I should have had chicken...I was going to have chicken!!
T. P.
Nice, clean rooms with modern feel. LED lighting was pretty customisable right from the bedside. Very comfy bed. Location ideal for transport links as many inner city stays would be. Can’t really fault it
P. S.
Good central location. Nice breakfast. No WiFi included. Rooms are basic but clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Soaps in the room are not nice so bring your own.
C. H.
Great value for money. Genuinely friendly staff, was given a lovely view on the 8th floor, am really pleased with the compact, simple yet clean and comfy room. Excellent location with easy access to Waterloo and surrounding areas. Happy to recommend.
S. M.
Fantastic Hotel very clean and tidy however, this morning i left the Hotel and within 15 mins i reliased that i had left a very expensive set of mobile headphones, so i called up the hotel and was told she couldn't find them ??? So people be careful make sure you leave with all your belongings.
B. A.
The location is great for access to Waterloo station or going into the West End but otherwise the hotel is basic. The bed and pillows as well as toilets are very basic. Minimum shampoo and towels provided and rooms are small and pokey. They've been recently redecorated which makes it more pleasant but this wasn't extended to the bathrooms. If you need a cheap last minute option this is ideal otherwise look around, Airbnb can provide much better at the same price bracket.
I. D.
Great hotel in a prime location. The add ons do become a bit pricey but I was fine without them. Quick 5 minute walk to the underground station and plenty of attractions to boot. I’ll absolutely be staying here again next time I’m in Southbank.
A. P.
Situated in a great location, this hotel offers reasonably-priced accommodation for the area. The rooms are basic but clean, and the staff seemed helpful enough although we didn't have much call to use them. If needing a nice location at a not-too-extortionate cost, I would recommend this Travelodge.
L. R.
Perfectly pleasant stay for a weekend's sightseeing. Big bonus was being able to bring the dog (£20 cleaning surcharge, regardless of length of stay). A little rough around the edges: we met incredibly friendly staff but others were incapable of carrying out their job. Breakfast was nice with a good selection of hot and cold choices.
A.
Close to the train station, Southbank, and many sightseeing locations. Clean, and decent sized. Bed was not the most comfortable, but we made due. Only complaint would be the bar staff- they need a little more training.
L. C.
Very central, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly, there is a good breakfast selection and hot meals available if you choose to have dinner on the premises. Also a bar and a nice seating area.
D. S.
overall good experience from the hotel. decent unlimited breakfast is available, although surprised they didnt have any fried eggs! the room was nice however could have done with a bigger tv!
E. J.
Stayed here on business and was reasonably impressed. As budget chain hotels go it was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and smiley. Couldn't really ask for much more given the price but very much still a Travelodge.
V. K.
Not the best travel lodge I have stayed in. It has been newly refurbished though so everything is new. We got a room on a 2nd floor facing a wall and fish and chips place so the smell was quite bad if you open the window, room keeper was very loud at the early hours of the morning, toilet seat was broken so was hand wash dispenser so had to fix them myself, the room has very nice lighting USB port chargers and as always very comfortable mattress, bar near reception is very nice too, there are two underground stations that will get you to the hotel, both at equal distance, Waterloo and southwark, Waterloo is very busy and road to the hotel can take ages navigating the traffic, it's about 7 minutes from southwark easy road to the hotel and you have tesco express and sainsburys on the way so can buy anything you may need on your stay. Avoid rooms on 2nd floor.
S. C.
Cheap and cheerful hotel, ideally located for the Southbank attractions, QE Hall, Royal Festival Hall. Quite easy to get to by bus from railway stations across the Thames. Polite and helpful staff and an enjoyable breakfast. Seems typical of the brand and I'd be happy to return.
C. H.
Travelodge Waterloo is an excellent hotel. Rooms were good, bed and shower great. Nice bar/cafe area. 15minute walk to the London eye and on the way Lower Marsh Street has lots of bars, cafe's, eateries.
C. H.
Best Travellodge ever. Restored my opinion of the chain. Will definayely stay again, lovely staff, clean room, upgraded and offered extra for the same price. Breakfast finishes laaaate, perfect. Bar area is nice too, social and comfortable
Thanks
D. C.
Great location. 5 mins walk from Waterloo Underground on the northern and bakerloo lines. My room was very spacious and had a great shower. Comfy beds and pillows too. Would definitely recommend this hotel
G. J.
Reasonably priced for the location. Rooms are fine for a short stay. If you have need of a hairdryer, bring your own. The room is not equipped with one and reception can't always provide one.
C. V.
Great experience! Everything was really clean, good breakfast included in the price and really nice staff. Super close to Waterloo station that connects you to everywhere in London, but you can also take a bus. It's even close enough to the center to go for a walk!
A. L.
Excellent location. Very nice. Was being renovated. Great breakfast. Expect prices to rise once refurb is finished...but I had great value.
N. W.
Clean rooms with air-conditioning, TV and USB charging ports, which was useful. Sadly no hair-dryer was provided, the air-conditioning would be turned off at times and only one really slow elevator was working (stairs could only be used in an emergency), other elevator was out of service).
K. K.
The new style rooms are nice. Comfy enough bed, lighting system works well and nice to have USB chargers on all plug sockets. Only real let down was my air con making random loud noises!
L. H.
Comfortable bed, spacious rooms and tasty cooked breakfast. The rooms have aircon which is great BUT only issue was that the air con unit even when switched off made a loud gargling noise ever hour or so that kept waking me up.
W. B.
Good prices and friendly staff. Clean but basic rooms and beds are quite firm. If they have softer beds it would have been a 4 or 5 due to the price.
L. C.
Great location 10-15 min walk to London dungeon area. Cheap, we stayed 8th floor, quiet, breakfast was good, room was tidy and looked not long renovated, USB chargers built into bed. Bed was comfortable.
For 3 star its a very good 3 star,
C. T.
Easy check in amd out, friendly service from everyone . Thank you Andreea for your morning welcome and big friendly smile at breakfast. Clean and tidy, good breakfast kept us going all day. Comfy bed welcome at the end of along day. Convenient short walk to London waterloo train and underground. Looking forward to returning on our next weekend in London
V. L.
Brilliant hotel. Spotless, comfey, great beds, good shower, friendly staff, quiet peaceful sleep and the best thing...aircon!! I've never had aircon in a Travelodge before! I slept better than I do at home! This will be my place to stay when working in London from now on.
F. H.
Good basic ammenities.
No toiletries or hair dryers in the rooms but clean, comfortable and ideally located. Breakfast was ample budget quality. Recommended for family ot work stop overs.
A. A.
I have stayed there a number of times. The superior rooms, although Travelodge, are a good standard with decent TV, nice shower and coffee machine. It's ideally located next to Waterloo.
J. M.
4 Stars mostly for the location and for clean cozy rooms. It is a Travelodge - a huge Hotel chain. Don't expect a particularly interesting atmosphere. Every extra is paid for - it was annoying that you get 30 min of Wifi and after that it's paid and pricey.
Good place to stay in if all you want is a place to sleep - adequately priced for that.
K. Y.
Paid 87 pound for the night after being unexpectedly lost after a night out. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and they were nice enough to provide some coffee in the bedroom, which made my hangover a lot easier to deal with. The only thing i didnt enjoy is the 12pm check out time, since i got there for 5am and had to rush my stay. But me and my gf enjoyed it.
j. j.
Great stay lovely clean rooms beds really comfortable staff real pleasant will definitely be back .. Only one problem the key for the main door doesn't let you in sometimes
A. F. D. S.
This hotel is well located, accessible and very well equipped which can make your journey to get here unforgettable. It's surrounded by the best in the city and prime businesses giving you an advantage of greats night out or it you prefer keeping yourself warmed in. Worth every little to spending.
C.
very value for money! nice modern design, clean, most basics are provided except for slippers, free wifi(only first 30 mins are free), cotton buds and there’s no telephone. but other than that it’s a very nice room for the price and i’d love to stay here again
F. M.
Good hotel. Large room had everything you need for a one night stopover. Good pleasant service from all staff. No complaints.
S. C.
The hotel was situated within easy walking distance to Waterloo station. The room was compact but comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast was very busy in the morning but still enjoyable.
R. A.
Great place to stay for a short trip. Clean, inviting hotel. Make sure you hang the sign for refreshing your room or you remain without clean towels though!
N.
Stayed here 1 night wanted a cheap hotel for an evening. room was nice and clean. We stayed in room 102 and the down side to this room was the dustbin lorries at 11 at night right out side the window. It didn't ruin my night or sleep.bed was ok for the price if you need a cheap place to stay it's all good
L. F.
I had booked the family storeroom. Where the tabble was there was little room to sit on the chair. This was due to the second cobble bed being so close to the tabble. The air conditioning had limited functionality (But did do it's job) the room had a very nice TV. The room also had a advanced lighting system. The lights can be turned on in sections and have night modes and more. This can all be controlled by a single panel (switch) witch there are one at the door area and on both sides of the bed. The room also come with a coffee machine and galaxy hot chocolate. The room was very good and in this case was high up witch I like.
A. P.
Good and affordable hotel in London. Rooms are average: comfy beds, essential bathroom (no bidet, which is standard in Italian bathrooms but not in British ones apparently), AC, TV set, wifi (30 mins free, or you can pay for more). The hotel is close to the Waterloo train and tube station. It's also great for theater enthusiasts as it's close to many theaters like the National Theatre, the Old Vic, the Young Vic and the fairly new Bridge Theatre.
K. W.
Very clean, great value. Bar/cafe is very convenient. Noisy at times, small(ish) room. Overall I would say perfect for the price!
K. H.
In these quarantine times I couldn’t have got a better accommodation- with a friendly staff, decent room, peace&quiet. I absolutely recommend this place!!!!
Thank you for being open - and so kind and helpful. ❤️❤️❤️
E. M.
Really accomodating reception staff who were able to help when I had an issue. Helpful and cheery management and clean and tidy rooms in a very desirable location
M. W.
Affordable. Clean. Staff very helpful and we could leave our bags after we checked out to enjoy a wee bit more time in a London. Perfect for a city break stay.
A. W.
We arrived at 5pm, upon entering the room we found the room wasn't ready for us. We were able to leave the bags and explore Lindon. On return the bags were in our room. The beds where comfortable, service was good.
M. H.
Super rooms are great. Cups are too big to fit under the in-room coffee machines, and only two sweeteners. Barman was clueless about wine selection available. No fried eggs or marmite at breakfast.
Y. J.
Good location, walking distance to most London attractions. Just 2 blocks away from Waterloo station. Clean room, nice breakfast too
D. B.
The room was a little small, and breakfast wasn't very good. The bed was decent, and the service wasn't bad. The room didn't have enough towels but they provided more upon request.
J. G.
What more do you need? Short walk from Waterloo station and has everything you need if, like us you intend to spend as little time in your room and as much time enjoying the sights. Could even see the London Eye and St Paul's from the window! Friendly and helpful staff, immaculate, fresh newly decorated rooms. Room was hot but kept window open (on the safe-catch) and fan helped. Breakfast was lovely and staff were on-hand to tidy/re-fill. They did, however have a bread toasting contraption which left my bread half-toasted which could have - but didn't ruin my whole break.
C. C.
Room was clean, bed comfortable and the breakfast was good with plenty of variety. The hotel was in walking distance of the underground and tourist attractions. Would definitely stay there again.
S. C.
Room was clean and tidy. Standard Travelodge layout. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. I didn't eat in the evening but unlimited breakfast was good.
D. Q.
Decent room, small but clean and nicely decorated. Air con unit a bit loud. My main issue and for me it's a big one is that there was no free wi-fi. You got 30 mins then you had to pay. I think in this day and age WiFi should just be included
h. r.
Nice location
Nice staff
Not cleaned properly
A. S.
Great budget hotel, bathroom could do with a renovation and there were no plugs for a phone or alarm clocks near the bed. Other than that it is an ideal location and the staff were very helpful and polite.
N. S.
Close to shops and restaurants with the station only a 5 minute walk. Stayed here a couple of times and enjoyed it. Clean warm and good prices for food, drinks. Friendly staff, apart from one young lady who seems like she can't be bothered.
s. h.
Travelodge London Waterloo is a nice modest hotel in central London. The location is excellent a stone's throw away from the river Thames and surrounding landmarks. The rooms are basic but comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful.
C. M.
Comfortable hotel with cheerful helpful staff. We were in a Superoom which was very nice. Unfortunately there was a lot of late night noise from the folk next door, but the hotel dealt with it very promptly.
P. B.
Great location in a quieter part of London. Close enough to Waterloo and the hotel was very clean. Room was in good condition and staff were helpful
k. d.
Lovely new type of Travelodge. Staff here are very friendly and professional. I have tried both types of rooms and both offer a good level of comfort. Only let down is the average food
K. a.
The staff at the Waterloo Travelodge were fantastic they make you feel very welcome as for the food the best ever. The room was very nice I slept like a log and the is only 6 minutes away from the tube.
M. W.
Stayed overnight on a theatre break in the Waterloo travelodge . Nice comfy bed and clean tidy room . Nice view of the Shard from the 8th floor window. Only a short walk from Waterloo station . Staff all friendly and helpful.
H. B.
Ideal for London theatre stay near stations .
M. H.
Great Travel Lodge right near Waterloo Station. We went to a concert in town, came back late and a bit weary to find the bar was 24 hours. Great to sit and chill at the end of a great day.
R. B.
Always good rooms with privacy. Clean and tidy. Got a noise complaint half way through the night because the TV was too loud. 10/10 would raise volume again.
R. H.
Nice, modern, well presented Travelodge in central location for exploring the sites. Rooms smart, functional and comfy with up to date touches such as usb sockets by the bed.
J. H.
We had a wheelchair accessible room it is lovely and big plenty of space to maneuver. Also excellent wetroom with plenty of grab rails. Breakfast was very nice.
S. S.
The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. They were also quiet considering it's central London. However there was a strong smell of marijuana in the lifts...
J. K.
Clean, friendly and helpful staff, large room, okay location. Children's beds were uncomfortable with scratchy sheets. No left luggage facilities. A good budget option.
N. W.
Stayed overnight after seeing a show in London. Hotel is in a great location near Waterloo and is comfortable, if a little dated. Didn't have breakfast or drink at the bar so can't comment on the amenities.
T. P.
Good cheap accommodation, staff were friendly enough. Easy to check in and out, and bar is open late. Rooms are quite small, but enough for one person. Quite noisy, due to street traffic at but in a really central location
M. B.
Lovely hotel and great location. The front of house staff are very friendly. We especially would like to thank Tabir who checked us in. He was informative and so kind.
J. B.
Very clean rooms with USB outlets. Staff was very friendly. The 24 hours cafe is excellent for when you need a late night pizza.
C. D.
Great convenient place to stay. Lovely clean modern rooms. Great food in restaurant and fab friendly service by Atreyo. Will definitely return here if in London.
p. b.
Nicest Travelodge in my experience in London, made by the super-friendly staff. Usual Travelodge experience, although has recently had a refit which makes a difference with showers and so on. Next door pretty much to the Shaheen Tandoori, good call for a cheap but decent eat. Plenty of picks of course for food up toward Waterloo, and stuff open fairly late on if you find yourself checking in past the usual time.
J. C.
Room was sweltering in the summer heat and the fan in the room was not enough to cool down. Otherwise, it's a typical Travelodge in a decent location. Staff were professional and the rooms were clean.

Basic but functional only complaints the noise from the pipes and air conditioning unit (even when switched off) preventing sleep and one day the maid only left one big towel (in two different rooms) reported to reception and sorted straight away, the layout of the room is a bit strange, seems to be a lot of wasted space. Restaurant/bar staff at night were overworked really needed another person one to take orders another to serve and clear up (and have the person taking orders help out when quiet at the bar). Food was decent, good portion sizes (sausage and mash did come with too much mash). 2 courses (starter/main or main/dessert) and a drink £13.25, a broad menu, pizzas, burgers, pub grub, curry, etc.
S. D.
Good location only 10 mins walk from Waterloo station, rooms are comfortable with air con and almost all that you would expect or need. Limited free WiFi of 30 mins but 4g is strong.
m. c.
Central location for Waterloo station, Covent Garden 30 min scenic walk over Waterloo Bridge,2 to 4 stops on tube from Victoria coach station. Hotel newly refurbished and good service staff.
B. B.
Staff members were so helpful, great that we could drop out stuff off, room was a good size and clean. Great experience
B. J. G.
Not your bog standard Travelodge, restaurant on site and great room sizes.
Well positioned hotel for central London and entry of restaurants in the local area to choose from.
Very good hotel would recommend staying here.
R. D.
Spotless room, comfy bed, relatively quiet central London area and very helpful staff. Good breakfast. What more can you ask for? Would definitely recommend to others.
i. E.
It was a lovely hotel to stay in. Everything is within reach, from places to eat, transportation and even Tesco and Boots. You must try the fish and chips fast food, I will go back there to try their fries with king prawns, it's just next door. Great location!
L. B.
Travelodge Waterloo. Good polite service from all staff encountered. Rooms at this particular travelodge were smaller than other lodges however they were fine for one person, two people may have found them a bit cosier. The TV in my room wasn't the best as not all the channels worked i.e. one of the music channels cut off mid song and did not return. Location was ideal only 30 min walk to the office of the event I attended. Frequent bus stops and nearby tube station as well for further travel into London.
G. P.
Recommend Travelodge for friendliness. Cleanliness. And great service. Had great time there.
B. K.
The rooms were nice enough but there's a lot of building work so coming up and down the lifts took time. I also didn't think the customer service was brilliant - 2 members of staff walked into my room (they knocked but only waited a couple …
M.
Travelodges are Travelodges are Travelodges, aren't they? We'll I found this one better than the norm. Clean friendly helpful staff altogether good
S. E.
Nice, clean room at reasonable price. Also good location to get around central London.
J. C.
Pleasant, efficient service. Lots of comings and goings in night but you have to expect that. Bar is nice.
J. D.
Room was fine, a few small things like the soap dispenser not working but nothing that detracted from the room itself. Clean, simple and easy. Would stay again.
P. G.
Good value for money. Great location for sight seeing. Clean and comfortable
K. M.
It's a Travelodge .. you know it's budget but this one is one of the better ones. Clean, carpeted rooms, lovely staff and very close to Waterloo.
K. S. L. E.
Excellent hotel, food, service, friendly and helpful staff. It was my second time staying there. Would be happy to stay there again.
l. p.
good situation at 10mn walk of waterlloo station. in front of Bus station and 5 min to waterloo
excellent staff that´s the most important 6 stars for them . rooms are good and good unlimited breakfirst but don´t be late it´s closed at 10 am.
If you book earlier you can have excellent price. That´ s make excellent place to stay in London. Better than Novotel for exemple....
M. H.
Normally stay here. However the drains smelt into the room and the general attitude is as positive as the Southwark hotel. Costs have risen dramatically too.
G. C.
Looks very new (maybe renovated?) fresh, simple but nice and with friendly staff.
We had to evacuate due to a fire next door and it was handled quite well by all the staff.
A. C.
Well located for London visit, clean and tidy, friendly staff & good food.
M. F.
It was okay. A good base for London.
S. H.
The staff was helpful and exceedingly friendly. My room was modern and well-appointed. The hotel is in a great location
I. B.
Well located Travelodge hotel, about 5 minute walk from Waterloo station, 10 minute walk to Westminster Bridge, 25 minute walk to Trafalgar Square. I stayed in one of their new superooms, nicely appointed slightly more upmarket than a normal Travelodge room, recommended if location and budget are important.
T. W.
Excellent value for the location. Clean, modern rooms in Central London with comfortable beds, plus pub-type food on site. Very satisfied.
G. P.
Good hotel and great location for everything to walk to west minister, shard, the eye , sea world etc Breakfast was great value for money You have Waterloo station within 2 min walk to get further away places in London
J. C.
Lindsay at the bar is hilarious. I'll be making this a regular haunt.
Room was great. Just change the tea to Yorkshire and I'll rate you 5 stars!
S. B.
Handy location, close to Waterloo station. Shops and eateries nearby. Staff friendly, food reasonably priced and a decent all you can eat breakfast. WiFi does frequently drop out and for the price should be more of a reliable network.
T. M.
Top quality of its type, clean and fresh with great staff. Competitively priced if you book ahead and choose dates carefully. Ideal for exploring the South Bank.
I. M.
Great place to stay. Very clean, basic facilities, but easy to get into the west end. And excellent eat as much as you breakfast.
S. W.
Staff, room and facilities all perfect for a couple of nights in London. Good location for getting around town. Have stayed here before and will stay again if in town.
S. K.
Daytime staff very friendly, night time staff subpar. Room was as expected, less soundproof than I would have liked. Not bad for a cheap hotel.
N. P.
One of the best Travelodge hotels in London. Rooms seem to have been recently refurbished. Clean, tidy and comfortable.
A. M.
Today I encountered what seemed to be a nightmare. Hotel booked for a night here however due to the weather flooding damage occured in the room that was booked for me upon arrival I was told that this was the only room left. The staff that was on shift on the night of 07/07/2016 went above and beyond to find a solution. The receptionist named tibor even stayed half an hour after his shift to arrange another hotel for the night a taxi to that hotel and also a taxi fully expensive for by them to my destination in the morning. I cant stress enough cherelle tibor giovanna were amazing they truly optimised the meaning of doing right by the customer and deserve in house and public recognition. (Cherelle well done for being a samsung girl and having a charger when I needed it)
10/10
A. V.
Convient location and large rooms. The staff are very nice and helpful, breakfast is excellent too. The hotel in general could be a little cleaner.
L. M. H.
Handy location, comfortable & clean, along with being reasonably priced. Nothing fancy, but perfect for what you need. Would definitely stay again.
L. M.
Bar area tired and furniture dilapidated, torn and badly worn. Bar staff didn't know what Prosecco was even though they had individual bottles available. Need a guest key card to use the bar area toilets. Not an ideal place for a social meet up before going out for dinner.
P.
Simple no fuss. Friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast.
All good.
m. h.
Great budget stay! Very good value for money, perfectly situated. Superb staff and nice breakfast
M. G.
Location i good 5 mins from waterloo station and 10 mins from south bank. Breakfast area is relatively large so not too crowded. No fridge or safe in room but modern cleanand well run. Would go back again.
G. T.
Great place for an overnight or weekend stay. Close to Waterloo station and loads of attractions. Good food and comfortable beds, if a bit narrow. Ideal.
N. B.
Exactly what you expect from a travelodge. Clean and comfortable. Restaurant is OK but just OK. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
P.
Very good location. Rooms are small but completely acceptable for short stays. Everything was clean and staff were very helpful.
A. R.
We had the family room and the staff were really lovely, the 3rd bed was very hard but the rest of the room was great
J. G.
It's clean, friendly & ideally placed for all the tourist attractions around the South bank without being in surrounded by the chaos of central London. 10 minutes walk from Westminster.
M.
The location was great, we had an underground station in the same street. The room was very clean and it was very cozy. The view from the room was really amusing.
N.
Clean place and comfy beds, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet enough options and reasonable price for the area....would definitely stay here again.
N. G.
Stayed here for one night. Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent room and facilities for this price and area. Good value for money.
R. N.
Breakfast is shrivelled and not worth the money. Staff are ok but just ok. Rooms small but functional. Noise ok but rooms near lift noises are abundant. But served it's purpose.
M. L.
Great experience in this hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room is a bit small but very clean!
B. H.
Well located for train and bus services. A good stop of for a visit to London. The bar is small but comfortable and didn't seem to get very full.
B. S.
Good location if you are happy to walk a little. Good breaky. Great shower. Would be nice to have a mini fridge. But we are happy here.
C. K.
Had a very good five day stay. Room was good, and all you can eat breakfast was excellent.
N. W.
Great place to stay. Rooms very well appointed. Heating didn't work well and was very noisy.
O. S.
Good value, good friendly staff too. Basic of course, but it was warm, comfortable and all that was needed for a night's stay
Z. A.
Gentleman named Steven very kind and helpful.
Excellent customer service skills.
K. K.
Location is great. Double bed is great. Shower and room a bit on a small side. However what do you expect for these prices?
B. W.
Been here repeatedly... I'm there now 😉 Always nice clean and comfortable and friendly.. Can't fault it.. X
G. H.
Close enough to Waterloo station to walk, far enough away to sleep well. Stayed in a super room, which exceeded all expectations. Fantastic hotel!
K. D.
Good hotel, let us leave our cases until check in. Room was reasonably priced and very clean.
J. “. U.
One of the better Travelodges. Does what it says on the tin and also has a proper breakfast selection
D. R.
Very clean and tidy hotel with very helpful staff.. Cooked breakfast wasn't hot enough
N. W.
Stayed overnight after seeing a show in London. Hotel is in a great location near Waterloo and is comfortable, if a little dated. Didn't have breakfast or drink at the bar so can't comment on the amenities.
S. U.
Decent hotel, food was average. Ok for a quick stay. Close proximity to London Eye etc
G. C.
No frills hotel close to train station in a lively part of London. Good local restaurants and handy for theatre goers.
A. S.
The rooms are clean. The check in and check out is extremely smooth and fast. The oy thing was that the gair dryer in standard rooms were weak. Other than that, this is an amazing location. Walkable to the nearest tube station and then you can get to anywhere in London.
J. R.
The hotel was very well managed, maintained, and good value for money. The bed was very comfortable and the location was relatively easy to get to. The only issue I have was the lack of plug sockets near to the bed, I couldn't seem to find …
R. G.
Bed was very comfy. Check in was easy. Nice bar at the hotel
J. M.
4 Stars mostly for the location and for clean cozy rooms. It is a Travelodge - a huge Hotel chain. Don't expect a particularly interesting atmosphere. Every extra is paid for - it was annoying that you get 30 min of Wifi and after that it's …
S. A.
Friendly staff, modern rooms. Best Travelodge I've stayed in.
W. A.
Bed was comfortable, although couldn't get the air conditioning quite right and we had s leaking toilet
E. S.
Nice and clean room, helpful staff.
The food is very delicious.
I wish to give more than 5 stars.
H. B.
Room 338 is a great size though a little noisy. Some drainage issues with sink and shower. Ideal location, close to Waterloo, the Old Vic and the South Bank Centre
j.
Lovely hotel got at a fair pair staff were really friendly and approachable we were on the eighth floor and it was fairly quiet apart from slight noises you could hear from room next door breakfast was lovely always had food refreshed so was always readily available not too busy loads of tables available and food was really tasty no complaints at all great stay especially for the price would happily stay again
e. s.
As Travelodge goes it about average for a cheap hotel . Had to upgrade to get a double instead of a twin so paid £15 for no notable differences. It's what it is corporate owned with not much interest in real customer services.
d. d.
This is a good overall place with nice tidy rooms...my only complaint with the place really is the volume of the music in the bar area and the kind of music they play...trying to have a sunday morning coffee at 8.30am with very loud RnB music was not very relaxing
L. B.
Nice hotel with Aircon. Staff really friendly and helpful, apart from the Sunday breakfast grumpy crew! Close to Waterloo underground/train station.
L. C.
Presentable hotel, a little bit of a stroll from the BR & LU station. Staff ok, food atypical of Travelodge but nonetheless it's a worthy contender amongst the many 'value for money' hotels in that area.
A. H.
Amazing hotel! The rooms are big and clean. Great management and good service. Highly recommend.
C. F. H.
I lived here for two days, end i been happy.Like in my proper home.Thank them.
R. C.
Quiet hotel. Lovely rooms. Close to some touristic attractions. Good staff members.
A. B.
Superior rooms are actually quite nice, enough room to swing a cat anyway and a tidy bathroom... Apart from the shower curtain installation which is an epic fail.
D. C.
Very clean, quiet and comfy. Great location. Decent buffet breakfast. Excellent value.
S. H.
Used as base for night out. Room was good, and bar area made it above average travel lodge experience.
K.
Stayed in super room. The room had no hot water but we were given new room immediately and free drink in the bar! Wonderful service!
A. P.
Nice staff, awful bed and pillows, really noisy air conditioning that kept making noises even when off. Still, £43 isn't too bad.
D.
Great budget hotel in a fantastic location for any trip to London the food is good and well priced good selection at breakfast our room was clean well maintained nicely decorated and I cannot praise the staff enough really friendly professional helpful nothing was to much trouble not had as good service in hotels that cost a lot lot more big have to mention the two guys behind the bar also Debora Anna the receptionist would recommend 100%
J. E. M.
Room was comfortable and clean. Stayed for business but would be a good location for tourists. Just a short walk from the South Bank
A. M.
Good location and rooms nice and clean great if you have lots of stuff to charge loads of ports in the room bed comfortable
s. b.
Great location just over the river from the river from the main tourist area. The rooms were clean and tidy but lacked quality.
S. S.
Clean place, obviously renovated in the last few years. Really appreciate the air conditioning, but it did gurgle all through the night even when turned off
G. J.
Negative: Nasty location. Positives: Room was pristine, the bed was extremely comfy and the breakfast was better than competitors of a higher price point.
L. H.
There was a mix up with the rooms but staff managed to sort the situation easily enough. Very clean and tidy room's very pleased
E. T.
Nice spacious bed. Good selection for breakfast. Staff are friendly and attentive.
M. V.
Very helpful staff, the rooms are quite nice for a fair price. Waterloo station is pretty close so you can get around easily
N. L.
Great location for exploring London. Only 10-15 minutes walk to central London. Hotel lovely and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.
B. V.
Clean, functional rooms for the price. Great breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.
K. W.
The room was nice and bed was comfy but the food and service in the cafe/bar/restaurant was very slow. Food was awful.
S. Y.
A 3 star hotel at Waterloo. Breakfast was nice and Waterloo station is near to enable movement around the city.
R. N.
Third year on the run ...good clean comfortable rooms friendly helpful staff..breakfast very good and as much as you need/want great start to the day perfect for exploring the city..
a. a.
For 7 days the one of the 2 lifts was out of order and we had to go up and down for 10 minutes before we reach reception.no bath mat and toilet brush.GOOD breakfast and friendly restaurant and bar staff
D. W.
Superoom was very comfortable. Great sleep. No road noise or internal noise like doors banging etc
M. D.
Newly refurbished which made it a nice change to the standard Travel Lodges. great location for Waterloo and the rooms are quiet.
R. D.
Reasonably priced hotel, with all of the necessities. Bar area needed a revamp and some new chairs, but otherwise a good hotel
S. b.
Brilliant hotel good location just 10 minute walk to Waterloo station. Stayed here now 3 times and will happily go back in the future.
A. M.
Nice room, clean and tidy. Very friendly personnel. Very good restaurant with great service.
P. V.
Nice and clean. Small but good rooms. Breakfast is quite alright as well.
B. E.
Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable, staff very pleasant & helpful ..lovely Cafe/ bar area.and food very good..
J. W.
A typical Travelodge with good service at a very convenient location. Beds were comfortable with electric heaters in the bedroom.
D. G.
Very comfy room, lack of places to put things in reach of the bed and not enough power sockets. Ground floor rooms very noisy.
S. W.
Good for the price. Air conditioning was a godsend!
S. U.
Decent hotel, food was average. Ok for a quick stay. Close proximity to London Eye etc
R. P.
Decent location and price, room was clean, but they mask mould and damp issues. Would stay again, but only for 1 night at a time kind of thing
M. G.
Great location for a trip to London. Room was clean and spacious. A good price for what we got.
S. H.
Clean room and quiet hotel. Typical TLodge with uninspiring decor. Only needed a bed to sleep in though so it suited our needs

Great location. You know what you're getting with a Travelodge. Nothing flash, clean rooms and good value. Staff were very friendly too.

Staff so helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean and tidy and location not far from a tube station but not too busy

Basic hotel but clean hotel, situated in a fantastic area. Lots of nice little shops and restaurants nearby and only ten minutes walk to south bank.
