I enjoyed my stay so much. Good and clean room, friendly and helpful staff. A special and a big Thank for the receptionist "Kamela" she was very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed talking to her.
Thank you so much.
A little thing I didn't like that I got a bad stomach after the breakfast. Maybe wasn't fresh enough or something expired I don't know.
N. A.
This is a good choice for budget accommodation. The rooms are what you would expect. The hotel services are typically Travelodge. The breakfast offer is pretty good but you need to plan your time to eat carefully to ensure that you have the full range available - it can get busy and the buffet can run out. The real plus is the standard of service and how helpful the staff are - excellent!

Great value hotel in a good location.
Room was very clean upon arrival and smelled very good. Sleep was great, absolutely no noise at night and very comfortable bed. The bathroom in the standard room was tiny but you get what you pay for.
Only had breakfast one day as it was pretty average English breakfast.
Staff were helpful but not as warm and welcoming as in other hotels I have been to.
But overall I would absolutely recommend staying here.

Fairly standard now that it's been open for a few years. Food isn't the best but not bad either. On one occasion, the cleaning staff left my room half-attended and left the door open/ajar. Nothing stolen or missing. Big mistake but no harm done, and response to my complaint by the front desk was so swift and polite, so service is as good as you can hope. More of a one-or-two night place than a full week
G. L.
Normal Travelodge facilities, but the position of this one make it stand out as it is so well placed for Tube services. The whole place was very clean and tidy. Staff cheerful and helpful.
Angel was an Angel ! Very helpful ☺️👍

Good location.
Nice staff.
Cleaned room( the first day)
Here’s my complaints: I’ve placed the top up sign every morning before 11am. And I’m100%sure it’s before Yet, no one cleans my room for the last 3 days. The trash bin was packed already. And I even go downstairs to ask someone for help. They said they will send someone to do it but no one top up the room at the end. One thing I was completely shocked is that, even I placed the food tray (food I ordered the day before) outside the room and put the top up sign on top of the tray. The cleaning staff only take away the tray but hang back the sign on the door handle and not cleaning the room. That means they notice my request but just ignore it. I am completely shocked. I stayed in the travelogue London city in room 617 from the 20th to the 27th December 2021. I strongly suggest you to check who ignore my request if you have CCTV.

Good location for a fairly cheap hotel in London! Minutes walk from the tube and around 10-15 to the tower bridge and the Thames river. My room was quite small and faced inward towards other rooms so the view was the only downfall. For what it’s worth though, it did it’s job by being a place to sleep and freshen up at.
Z.
Great place to stay, near Algate station so the tub was easily accessible. Rooms were slightly bigger than usual travelodge rooms, service was great, air conditioning and showers were fabulous, local area was full of shops for quick meals, community was very helpful, overall very happy.
S. H.
Excellent, if small, clean rooms. Lavazza coffee machine was an added bonus. Friendly staff superb breakfast
D. M.
Great value for money. Took super room and it was a good size and nicely presented. Will definitely stay again
A. B.
Essentially you get what you pay for with this hotel.
There is no room service if you go for having Breakfast and Dinner option (I only took the Dinner option).
The rooms are basic, however upon checking into my room I saw stains in my room.
Staff are friendly, so there no complaints from here.
T. S.
No frills basic. Clean and you had what u needed. Breakfast was good.Emma one of the ladies in the dinning room is amazing, her attention to detail was spot on ! I hope she is appreciated.
A. S.
Good location..cosy rooms...
Could have had quicker service at the bar but that only tiny issue..
Didn't have any food there one evening intended to have pizzas but they had no pizza doughs went to local takeout and sat and ate in restaurant.. other diners seemed to have a problem with their orders..
Stayed in a super room would stay again definitely .

Overall my stay wasn't that bad but the soap dispenser in my shower was broken and they gave me liquid soap in a coffee cup and ask me to manage it! I have been pro-travelodge ever since my trip to UK But this one was not that good.
H. D.
Room is great. And for the price a real bargaim. So as a hotel...5 stars.
Restaurant was less 5 star. Very long wait, food was under the warming lamp for a while as the burger was dried out, bun was limp. I had to remind staff to go and get my food or I probably would still be waiting.

Comfy room, great location and very reasonably priced. We have stayed here several times and will happily return.
A.
Travelodge have a bad reputation but this was a decent stay. Breakfast was great, good variety of options, and always being topped up. Room and communal areas all clean/modern. Friendly staff.
P. O.
Fairly clean quiet and the staff were friendly did try to extend my stay but the website and the app seemed unable so I went to another hotel !!
r. l.
Perfect stay for our family trip to London, great location. Friendly, helpful staff, clean room, great breakfast with everything stocked up. Would 100% stay again. Thanks for the great experience
S. C.
Fantastic service received at this hotel by Lira, she was so pleasant and accommodating. I had a issue with my room, and Lira immediately offered to change my room for me.. she also pleasantly greeted me each and every time I passed thorough the lobby, advising me of local attractions to visit. Lira you are a star! Love from Birmingham Girl ;)
M. I.
Great hotel! 8min walking from the train station, really convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful, bed was comfy and it was quite :)
Complimentary tea and coffee is always nice as well
D. O.
Good hotel close to everything good about the City area. Very nice and helpful staff. Ali at the bar is a star. And it's true cos it rhymes. Enjoy.
S. H.
Nice clean room, but not enough staff for the amount of guests. Service was average, food was average. Great location close to the river.
C. A.
Pros:
- The bed was clean and very comfy.
- The room was looking new and clean.
- Many lighting options
- Lavazza coffee machine (super room)
- Bedside plugs and USB ports
- Kind and welcoming staff at the breakfast area
Cons:
- Weird company policy all around:
No phones in the rooms, so if you need something, take the elevator and go to the reception. (!) First time seeing such thing.
We stayed for 9 nights and the room was not cleaned up once. Linen was replaced once by our request and the floor was completely ingnored. Housekeeping could've surely used a vacuum cleaner. What they only did was to change the towels and top up coffee/tea.
They also didn't change our porcelain mugs in the room and the reception staff told that they are not part of their "top me up" process. Are we expected to use the same dirty mugs for as long as we stay? Ridiculous.
- The "ingenious" pay-as-you-go WiFi. Each subscription is limited to 2 devices. So, for 2 people with a phone and a PC, 4 devices. This means you need two subscriptions, and keep in mind that unregistering a device can only be done once, on a call center!
- No smart functionality on the TV
- The room is a bit cramped.
- No slippers
- Shower area is badly designed so if you're not careful, the whole bathroom can be filled with water and there's no drain.
- The iron has no steam function so it's basically useless.
- AC is a bit noisy.
- Only one head towel was provided for two of us, every time.
Overall, the hotel is not suitable for stays longer than 2 nights. Otherwise, price-performance is high.
H. M.
Good location near circle line. Clean rooms . Staff at reception helpful . Breakfast staff helpful and friendly.
M.
Rooms are write basic but clean and modern, reflects the price so ideal for a stover or place just to stay. The breakfast is perhaps the worst offering I have ever had, service at the cafe/bar is incredibly poor and very slow.
M. R.
Clean tidy hotel/room, very good value for money, shower great, 1/2 way between Aldgate stations, only a 5 min walk from Liverpool St as well, will defo book to stay again when in London
H. T.
Brilliant location. Great price! We had a super room and it was very cozy. Would definitely stay here again.
G.
After a bit of confusion (customer end) of which hotel we had booked into (the travel lodge in aldgate isn't called travel lodge aldgate but central) the amazing staff not only transfered the room from a different travel lodge but gave us a complimentary upgrade
Can't thank the staff at this travel lodge enough
Both me an my partner love this hotel so much its our go to when visiting London
So nice to see the staff take such care of the customers, even when they aren't to blame
Again amazing and thank you so much travel lodge London city
I. H.
This is a Travelodge, expect Travelodge: it's basic and does its job. But this modern location is super clean, very friendly staff and superbly located near Liverpool Street, Aldgate and Aldgate East. Bikes (Santander) can be rented a few minutes away and the local area has bars, restaurants etc to offer.
J. C.
Great cheap hotel perfectly located. Clean and great value. Definitely go for a Superroom if you can.
H.
Amazing, Ike was a fantastic security guard. He made my stay amazing.
s. v.
For a cheap hotel in central London during the London marathon it was okay. We paid £200 for 3 nights where Saturday was the most expensive being £120. It's no thrills . Gives you a sleep in central London for a good price in comparison.
A. B.
These 5 stars go to Lira… for going above and beyond, and being massively helpful during my 5-night stay. Your customer service is second to none… thank you so much!
K. B.
Spent 2 nights here, room very clean, staff very helpful, only had to ask if we needed anything.
I. C.
Came for 2 nights 2 adults 2 kids. Can't fault it it was only a room to sleep in. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again when visiting London
B.
Was visiting london and decided to stay at this travelodge after reading all the good reviews. Arrived at 12:30pm for check-in after paying £10 for early check-in (normal check-in 3pm early is from 12pm) had the upgraded room which was excellent value for london with iron and coffee machine in room. The hotel is right near Tower Bridge, sky garden and close to the shard.
N. M.
Clean tidy basic hotel which does it's job well. Fantastic full English breakfast. Book early for a bargain price
T.
Didn't have high expectation as the other Travelodge I stayed wasn't too nice. But this one was very clean and nice. Will stay again
G. D.
Never stayed here before but its a great location. 2 minutes from Aldgate or Aldgate East underground. Clean and tidy hotel. Good food.
J. B.
Location, facilities, cleanliness, good place to hang out. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tremendous value and would definitely use again.
S. C.
Great value for money considering the location especially the super rooms are modern, big and comfortable. Its also recently built so everything is new.
P. T.
Very central hotel with short walks from local tube station and city life. Amenities available in the hotel so did not need to bring hair straighteners or a hair dryer. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Jim. Lovely weekend away.
H. B.
Nice place for a hotel, with Tower Bridge just 10 mins of walking distance away and there are plenty of restaurants to chose from that are super close. Their breakfast was tasty too, however there was construction going on next door when I was there. Also the kettle in my room was more like a ecosphere than a kettle with even some signs of life in there. Overall it was still a nice place to stay.
G. T.
Often stay here when in London, nice a clean..staff always helpful, the bar is now open which is always good for a cheeky beer and a snack.
C. G.
Service was excellent especially from Abu. He had good relationship with both my nephew and my disabled son Lewis. We had great break. We will definitely stay here again
J. T.
Perhaps the NICEST Travelodge ever?!? Fantastic from start to finish: friendly and professional staff, brand new building and fresh, renovated rooms. Fabulous bar and dining area on the ground floor. Although the location is a bit off the beaten track for most tourists, it's worth the extra effort for such good value accommodation. Tube: Aldgate or Aldgate East.
L.
A fantastic overnight stay here with staff extremely friendly & very welcoming. Excellent location as well. Room was also spotless. Will have no problem staying here again but only issue stopping this getting top marks was the lack of service & organisation over breakfast. Seemed to be only two staff serving a host of guests & disorganised. The cooked breakfast was very slow to come out & also not very hot. If the management can solve this issue, the hotel would easily get 5 stars.
P. W.
Family room was disappointing in size compared to other travel lodges. Everything else was good however.
D. C.
Great location, just round the corner from Aldgate tube.
Hotel bright and recently refurbished.
Room good, as you'd expect, not massive but enough space and desk area too.
R. S.
Nice place and location. Staff have no skills in how to interact with customers. Very cold and don't care attitude
F. L.
Clean, tidy and both our rooms had ac which was very welcome as we visited during a heatwave, would definitely use this travelodge if I were to visit London again
B. M.
Lovely hotel. Great location right by Aldgate tube station and bus stop right outside. Very clean and modern inside. Very polite staff too. Cannot complain. Everytime I go London this is the first choice hotel. Tends to be cheaper at the weekends.
M. E.
Comfort clean and quiet. Staff can't do enough for you
C. D.
Great location, clean and very friendly staff. Stayed a few times now and will do in the future.
N. L.
Really pleased with our stay here the staff are great 10/10 we got in after the kitchen had closed from a night bus tour and one of the staff members was kind enough to do pizza and chips it was very much appreciated would definitely visit again.
M. H.
Perfect location. Lovely and clean hotel. Friendly staff
A. G.
I haven't been there personally but I dropped one of my friends there last week and followed up with him. He was quite happy with the price which I think is very reasonable for the area and he was happy with the service he got there as well,,
A. S.
Kind and helpful staff, rooms are fine, really well located
S. M.
Always happy to stay here, comfortable and modern, good location and currently good prices (suspect that will change once covid is a memory)
G. B.
Our second stay in the last 12 months. Friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms in a good location for London city attractions. Excellent value for money 👌
C.
This is the best Travelodge in Central London. Local to everything you need and rooms were perfect in all ways.
K. W.
Nice hotel, for the price, had better experience than premier inns honestly. 5 stars.
C.
Excellent location, rooms clean and good value for money! Would definately stay here again!
A. N.
Its a standard basic hotel but this travelodge actually doesn't have draws to put your stuff in. The en-suite is definitely not for large customers. The shower curtain loves to touch you when you're having a shower hot or warm but omg the shower is amazing, it's like a jet wash! The pressure on that is amazing!
When we went we didn't get no sugar and only 2 milk pods, had to go down and get some. You also have to go down and ask for a hair dryer and for a spare towel (they don't have a service phone or number). The only good thing is... its not far from London Bridge and city centre. Its a good walk and they have benches outside. Few restaurants are just outside the restaurant and tesco express is down the road including boots.
N. W.
Great location, market outside on Sunday nr Algate Tube, kinda new ish place. Great breakfast
L. V.
Exactly what you can expect from a travel lodge however the staff are incredibly helpful, kind and understanding always willing to go the extra mile to help out where they can. Really outstanding place.
M. B.
This is great for a last minute booking you can book online checkout simple just put room cards in a box at reception and leave. Rooms are clean basic beds comfortable location good . Very reasonable price
J. D.
Great location close to both aldgate and aldgate East underground stations, clean good sized rooms, quick service and ideally located for a stay whilst exploring London citre centre! Will definitely stay again, really good prices too
P. w.
Great location, only a few minutes walk to 2 tube stations, plenty to see and do nearby.
The hotel is clean , staff friendly and helpful
I. B.
Brilliant location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms at budget prices
S. M.
Beautiful modern Hotel in the City of London. The friendly staff was very helpful.
N. M.
Neat and tidy room. 24 hours bar. A quality level of travelodge.
S. N.
Great hotel, great location. Staff helpful and friendly.
P. R.
This was a good hotel and at a very reasonable price. Well maintained and clean throughout. Ideally located for a couple of different tube stations to get you around London. The optional buffet breakfast was well made and certainly good value. I would definitely stay here again.
A. B.
Staff very friendly, especially Val on reception
S. D.
Great hotel easy walk to tube ideal for weekend stay
S. P.
Really enjoyed our stay here! Would definitely stay again.
K.
First of all the hotel is situated at a very convenient area. It is near 3 underground stations and there bus stations 1 minute away.
The stuff is friendly and the breakfast is good quality. There is daily room cleaning. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is great.
The only drawback was the lack of a fridge in the room.
C. i.
Good, clean, friendly, comfortable, quiet. Conveniently situated.
S. C.
I stayed there for one night back in 2019 n I gotta say is it was soo pleacful and comfortable I will need to book another night with my partner
S. W.
The staff are lovely, breakfast is filling (Linda McCartney sausages are a nice touch) and rooms are clean. Free WiFi lasts for 30 minutes, mattress topper feels like a nappy and and sheets come off the mattress very easily. But they have a nice bar and good location too
T. L.
Nice, new and clean. Awesome breakfast.
D. L.
For a Travelodge hotel it was nicer and more modern than the City Road and Southwark ones. Friendly staff. Breakfast was okay but basic. The location is very nice just 2 min walk from 2 underground stations. The area is quiet at night. The room was very basic but spacious. We were very disappointed with the bathroom. It seems we've been given an accessible room but we didn't ask for it. The hotel itself is clean but the room needs more improvement in cleaness and equipment.
S. G.
Very nice and cozy place, 10 minutes walking to Tower Bridge and riverside. Safe location. Very near Aldgate Station and walkable from Liverpool Street as well.
T. H.
Nice and clean. Staff were very nice and professional.
S. M.
I stayed in this hotel with a group. The location is amazing, 10 walk to the Tower of London. The facilities are good and rooms were confortable.
We had a problem with our dinner program, however, with good customer services and excellent interaction with the staff we transformed something that could be very bad in something that my group enjoyed.
We don´t have words to thank you to all the staff hotel for everything they did for us.
See you next time.
J. K.
I'd like to recommend this place.
I stayed for two nights in their supper room.
The room was pleasant and spacious. There is also a hairdryer in the room.
If you are lucky, you will be able to see the room discount event on the official website. You can get a 20 percent discount if you stay longer than three nights.
Breakfast is highly recommended. I had my breakfast very satisfactorily. The place for breakfast is very wide.
And there is an ALDGATE station within a five-minute walk. If I visit London, I will find this place again.
H. W.
New and nice. I hope it will not end up like other Travelodge...
l. h.
The room had a few very minor issues, but definitely well worth the price.
L. P.
Nice enough rooms. Staff friendly and food not bad. Good value for money.
M. m.
For what I paid it was first class. Good location, nice clean hotel. Budget hotel with a classier feel.
R. M.
Great hotel - loads nearby and super clean inside. Staff friendly and helpful.
M. S.
Great location, right in the centre of London so perfect for business trips. I had a Super room and it was great, good size and really comfortable. Breakfast is good, pretty basic and if you've got allergies or intolerances it can be a bit of a nightmare since they're only a vegetarian alternative. I didn't have dinner there so can't comment on the food then. There is a bar which does cheap drinks which is always nice. Staff are great, really helpful and nice. I'd use this Travelodge again next time I'm in London.
E. W.
Very welcoming host Nasa checked us in and made us feel very much at home. Cheers bro. Clean and tidy rooms with a view
Would recommend
A. R.
Very convenient for the east end, Tower Bridge etc. This is a new build travelodge and has been done nicely. We had an internal family room. Very quiet considering you're in Central London. Windows are screened so you can't see others. Surprisingly, the bathroom contained a small bath which is great for keeping children clean. The staff were very helpful and plenty of them around to help. There are numerous eateries nearby if you fancy something apart from the travelodge breakfast and a number of small supermarkets. Very popular hotel which we got for a reasonable price.
M. S.
I just loved it: cosy and clean room. I really liked the shower!
The bar staff is superb! Kind and very friendly: got a lovely coffee at almost midnight. Deliciuous!
Breakfast is very good. There is a lot of choice...I loved the ash browns! And frothy delicious cappuccino too!
F.
Okay however lots of dodgy people hang outside the hotel by the doors. Also you can hear people’s doors slamming all day and night. Most staff were pleasant but some were completely unhelpful when it came to extending the stay... Rooms are the newer Travelodge rooms, so to a better standard.
r. r.
Very well positioned with a nice pub "Hoop and Grapes" within 150 feet and tube station 200 feet away. Hotel itself is new, clean, with an OK breakfast only complaint, how can you serve sausages and bacon and have no mustard, no doubt a head office bean counter has been to work here. Reception and restaurant staff were helpful, basically it does what it says on the tin, well.
M. W.
Honestly very surprised at this travel lodge. Being a travel lodge plus I was sceptical at it being much better than the normal. But I was pleasantly surprised. The room was small but more than adequate and the desk space was more than enough to catch up on some emails on my laptop. The shower was by the far best I’ve used in any hotel I have stayed in apart from the shower curtain deciding it needed a hug every 30 seconds. I also opted for the buffet breakfast which was a very nice spread and very well cooked with plenty of options. Would happily return next time I’m in the area.
M. M.
Super nice, personable, and lively front desk!! They do everything they can to make you feel at home and celebrate with you while you are here. I gave them four stars because the room we got on the 1 level was small for a family room and I got woken up by slamming of doors above in the wee hours of morning: I am thinking maybe we were next to laundry or room cleaning office?? It was very room in our room and unable to control from room. The front desk is able to control from their end: very helpful. But 18* is still warm. No iron, blow dryer, or phone in room to call front desk. The bathroom feels like a cruise liner bathroom: a big plastic portable.
M. H.
Good location-close to underground services. Breakfast was ok - full English breakfast all you can eat for 10£. Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived early (earlier than the 12pm early check-in that we paid for) and they were happy to check us in as someone else had failed to show up the night before. Offered to store our luggage while they prepare our room so we can explore the area a little.
I. R.
Good basic hotel. It's walking distance from the tube station so great for getting around. Not a very central area but the main street nearby can still be busy till quite late. Comfortable bed with a good night's sleep. As with all Travelodge's there shampoo and handwash is supplied with dispensers. There is a bag drop service. Staff were professional and helpful. Budget friendly especially for London.
P. R.
New hotel from Travelodge; it was very clean and fresh. We had a family room and a double room and both were spacious. The bed is comfortable and the A/C works great. The staff were efficient and friendly. The location is good, with bus stops close by. However, the street is barricaded from the main road. And when the market is on Sundays, the other side is not accessible as well.
R. W.
It’s a room and a bed, not much more (no blow dryer, no cupboards, no toilet brush - although that might be a British thing), but very clean and friendly staff. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the breakfast too much. All in all it’s very good value for money and I would definitely recommend it.
C.
Great room, great value for money and great location.
C. W.
lovely air conditioning in rooms very hot outside! beware not very good when following the map link from website took nearly 2 hours to walk when should had been 20minutes at the most! thought be nice as a lovely day rather than use the tube we know for next time
K. W.
Great hotel for the price. If you happen to need the local area then it's great. I was working in north London but this was still the cheapest place.
Very comfortable room as the hotel is still very new.
Would definitely stay again if the rates remain at these levels. Think l paid less than £100 for 2 nights.
J. H.
Central location, was easy to get to. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Whilst I stated there they could not have been more helpful. Rooms were clean, tidy and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge choice of hot and cold options. Bars restruants and site were within easy reach. Overzl I would recommend that you consider this as a base for your London trip
A. S.
I booked a room for my Son as he’s taking a very important exam tomorrow, on arrival he was allocated a ground floor room which was very nice, however, he was hoping for a quieter room higher up in order to get a good nights sleep prior to his exam. After having a quick chat with the reception team they kindly moved him to a higher floor and wished him luck for his exam....very nice staff.
The rooms are lovely, the location was good but the most important thing for me was the staff were helpful...customer service in my eyes always come first. I would definitely this hotel again. Thank you for your help.
C. S.
Good location and good value. Helpful staff too.
A. G.
There's about 3 different Travelodge hotels within a 5 minute walk of one another, but this is definitely the best one. It looks much more modern from the outside and the rooms are always clean and comfy. Only a 2 minute walk from Aldgate Station and just over 5 minutes from Liverpool Street Station puts it in the perfect location.
J. D.
Very nice place to stay, the hotel is newly built, so the rooms and bathrooms are still in very good conditions; no bad smell on the corridors, nor in the rooms. The reception area is quite pleasant, they also consist of a very large bar and sitting area next to the reception. Nothing to complain about.
O. C.
What you would expect for a travel lodge, the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was an all you can eat buffet style with an OK selection. The only let down was there was a lot of noise from the street, we were in a 1st floor room and my partner found it hard to sleep. It is still good value for money and you get what you pay for.
S. m.
Good hotel, very good location and staff were very friendly
D. D.
Always upgrade to a premium room as it gives you more space. The breakfast is okay. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
For those traveling your walking distance to the tube
H. R.
Lovely, clean hotel. Comfortable rooms. Staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating. The bar was good value. Didn't eat dinner but the menu looked good value. We booked with breakfast which was plentiful. Lovely, quiet location near Aldgate station.
P. R.
Great location
New hotel and very clean
Super rooms were excellent
Great price
J. M.
Great hotel in the heart of the financial district, close to two tube stations or a short walk to Liverpool steer station. Great value for money! Being a recently new built hotel all rooms are lovely and in good condition.
C. W.
Fairly new hotel so it's still nice and clean. Pretty impressive for a budget hotel, though it should be for their London flagship one. Would have given it 5 stars but I had terrible sleeps. No idea why as it was quiet and room temp, etc were all fine.
C. U.
Nice new hotel in walking distance to the Tower Bridge.
I have been to London several times and stayed in different Travelodge hotels and this one has been the best so far.
The reason for that probably is, that this hotel was the newest of them all.
The rooms aren't too small. For a short trip to London the equipment is alright, although a safe would have been nice.
Like mentioned above the hotel is in walking distance to Tower Bridge. Even closer is a tube station so you are able to get around quickly.
D. T.
Perfect location when on a trip to London. Underground a couple of minutes walk. Petty Coat Lane Sunday Market literally just outside the door. Well worth a visit if you want a huge variety of bargain clothing. The staff at the hotel are friendly and efficient. Rooms clean and well laid out. Breakfast excellent. However very disappointed with the evening meals. Go out for meals!
E. B.
Rooms are small but clean and on the 6th floor we couldn't hear any noise from outside. The unlimited breakfast was good. Only giving 4 stars as there aren't net curtains on the windows, so office workers can see straight into your room! I prefer natural light to spot lights in the morning and that's all they have, so you can't open your curtains until you're dressed.
D. T.
Upon arrival book in was ok but only to find that the room given to me had not been serviced since the last occupant. I tried to convey this to a member of staff but the member of staff spoke no English so had to get an interpreter. Reception then issued me with a new room that was ok. Breakfast was a bit half hearted. A colleague, who asked if the hash browns were gluten free was told nothing was gluten free, even the bacon, by a member of the kitchen staff. Definitely not a good impression for my first stay here. 3 stars only
J. “. L. H.
Very nice for the price, staff really friendly and helpful, they get 5 stars.
WE were able to leave our luggage on arrival so we could go of and enjoy our day. Nice cafe ascend restaurant, reasonable prices for london.
The hotel is new so is in good decorative order and very clean.
Bed super comfy and clean.
We had a room at the Back of the hotel, so was very quiet.
However 'super room' is a little over exaggerated.
The room is really nice, but it is not as big as they make out. We only had 5 hangers in the fixed wardrobe, NO drawers. So as were were there for several days we had to leave some things folded, we had an iron / board, but I didn't really want to be ironing every day.
There was a desk, but again no other space. To place things, as part of the desk was taken up with he hospitality tray, if you have a lap top and paperwork you may struggle.
There is only a tiny shelf, by the full length mirror, which is taken up by the hair dryer. So was a bit of a struggle for fitting straighteners, hair brush and products, so had to bring a chair over and balance things on that.
Heating was a bit hit and miss think we had just worked it out by time we left.
Hospitality tray was nice - nice to have a proper coffee machine, we got a kitkat each on arrival but no biscuits left on other days. You can go down to reception for extra tea and coffee, milk and sugar. Our kettle kept switching off, before it had boiled.
Bathroom was lovely and clean, but very small, bath was tiny, which was a bit disappointing, a) as it was supposed to be super room. But also after a fast walking around cold london, it was have been nice to relax on a hot bath. Shower was nice, easy to use, 3 setting. Toilet was very hard to flush.
Overall a nice stay. But a few extra details would make it perfect.

The hotel is close to Tower Bridge, literally 2 minutes from the subway station and maybe 10 minutes from DLR station. Rooms are small but clean, quite enough for a short stay. The breakfasts are typically British so if you like such food you will be satisfied. Very good value for money.
C. D.
Rooms are amazing. Probably cause it's a new property. But the food needs some change. I had the burger one night and it was just so dry. The pizza on another night it was just so bland. But sticky pudding with custard was real good. It would be nice if the breakfast could alternate on days.
D. H.
Great Hotel. The room was clean, spacious and the bed quite comfortable. Yes, there is a powerful air conditioning but you can switch it off and in our room it was even possible to open the window. Breakfast ist good.
N. L.
Good service, desk staff very helpful. Usual travelodge rooms with shower. Comfy bed.
D. P.
Very nice rooms, 24 hour lounge/ bar was very helpful when our baby didn't want to adjust to the 7 hr time change. The bartender was fantastic and great company while I tried to tire out my 8 mo old.
D. S.
Room nice breakfast OK staff really friendly but food is very hit and miss had an OK pizza and a terrible chicken burger ate out after that. Staff handled it well but wasn't impressed that they allowed it to leave kitchen.
G. Ž.
New hotel, the location of the hotel is excellent. Close to metro (4 minute) and bus stations (1 minute). All attractions and sights are quite close. Really nice rooms and interior, staff very friendly, rich breakfast and I definitely highly recommend this hotel!
s. w.
OK clean but very loud with people out side drunk k from 4:30am until 8am other that that all was ok
I. G.
Great place to stay, in the heart of Whitechapel. Good facilities, usual bar and restaurant available. Well kept clean rooms always perfect for a short overnight visit and reasonable prices. This hotel is only recently opened and therefore the decor and rooms are pretty much pristine.
D. R.
Hotel is in good central London location, fairly basic but clean and modern.
Breakfast buffet is good value and runs until 11am.
Only negative was I tried contacting the hotel prior to my stay, via email and had no response at all in return.
E. -. R.
Hotel itself was basic but good . Location great. Breakfast buffet very good on till 11am which was great staff at breakfast were great. Hotel is new and rooms are very tidy and clean. Only issue was trying to contact the hotel called three times no answer was put through to a mailbox which was full and was unable to leave a message also emailed them and didn't even get a reply.
M. G.
Lovely place. Very well situated in London. Two tube stations so close. And a shop close by too. Staff were lovely bedding clean room too. Sheet all fine too
C. B.
Great value for money, I stayed at one of the superior rooms and was pleasantly surprised. Great new room and affordable prices unlike so many overpriced but run down hotels in London. Definitely coming back.
R. W.
It's a first time I've stayed at Travelodge hotel, somehow I've never heard of them, and was expecting a non-chain sub standard premises. This place, however, as a just opened one is pleasantly fresh, rooms are contemporary and classy, not too much nor too little. So far very clean with that newness scent. Nice materials, good equipment, although there are no phones in the room (I guess no one ever uses them anyway). There's Lavazza coffee maker, practical desk, iron + board and hair dryer. Plenty of mains sockets with embedded USB ports. Room is nicely lit and the lights are dimmable. Feels current with design and technology. To some commenters below - there are curtains in the room, you know. The only thing I am not fond of are the supplied soap and shower gel, really not that good.
Restaurant is quite big, open plan, but the sign "wait here to be seated" is deceiving in the evening as I guess it's used for breakfast only - so you just order in the bar, take number and pick your seat. Food is OK, although I haven't tried more complex dishes beyond a burger which was cooked from frozen so not as juicy as advertised, but it was expected. Fries are baked and not deep fried. Prices comparable to similar hotels ~£10 for a meal. Staff is nice, but understandably often not as attentive but rather reactive only. Beyond first 30 minutes internet is not free - while £3 a day it's not that much, I would rather pay £3 more for booking and had it "free" (of extra hassle to pay for it separately, that is).
J. O.
Lovely hotel, bus stops a couple minutes walk from the hotel to get into most places, tube station round the corner also. Wheelchair accesible room was brillant and spacious, air conditioning for the hot summer nights and staff were lovely and helpfull.
s. e.
Clean, pleasant, quiet. The pressure from the shower was worth the stay alone!
M. r. J.
Best place to stay! Heart of London, value for money, nice clean and tip top rooms would highly recommend.!
D. T.
Checked with little hassle but when I got to room found that it not been serviced since the last occupant had left. This was not a pleasant thing to see. When I approached a member of staff, found they spoke no English at all so could not communicate this issue. Went to reception and was given another room. Breakfast was ok, just ok. My colleague asked if the hash browns were gluten free. She's was told by the kitchen staff even the bacon was not gluten free. We did scratch our heads a bit. The stay was ok, not good just 3 star ok.
H. H.
Staff friendly and was clean and modern. Was a busy hub for a lot of travellers and tourists on the door step of petticoat Lane market. Breakfast buffet was a free for all with often a que waiting for either refilling of chargers and coffee machines or for cups and It wasn't that busy just a bit disorganised. Felt for the kitchen staff as they certainly seemed under pressure and stressed. The rooms were comfortable but the toilet was so pokey and cramped you couldn't reach the toilet roll holder while using the toilet due to it being stuck in my rib cage....and I'm not a large person at all!
M. W.
Very good. Well positioned for circle and district line and on bus routes into town. Short walking distance from city and its restaurants, it's own restaurant is great value and very decent food. Rooms are from a Travelodge as it's a Travelodge.
L. G.
We arrived at around 2am in the morning and were told there were no rooms available, they did not tell us why. However they got us a cab that took us to Enfield Town and also paid for it. We went back the next morning and they also refunded our tube ticket. They solved the problem well but I don't get why there were no rooms available even though I had a valid booking.
The connection to the tube is pretty good and the area looked safe. Moorgate and Old Street is about 5min walk, Liv Street is around 10min walk. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was kind and the bar was cosy and valuable.
Please explain why you had no rooms available. If you have a good reason, I will definetely come back and book your property again.
L. S.
Thank you so much Travelodge we had a very enjoyable stay. Clean everywhere, great food, amazing staff and thank you for looking after my son who had coeliac disease and needed special dietary requirements. We will definitely return.
S. M.
Great value especially for the location. Paid right around €55/night. Friendly and helpful staff. Took the train straight from the Stansted Airport to Liverpool Street (~£19/person) which was extremely convenient, then walked half a mile down the street. There was so much going on and to do in the surrounding area (restaurants/pubs). Very central location to base out and walk to places/take public transporation. Room was very pleasant at a cool temperature with an air conditioner. There is a restaurant/bar by the reception in the hotel where they serve a breakfast buffet at under £10/person. The only minor con would be that Wi-Fi was £3/day but not a biggie. Overall, highly recommend and will be staying again!!
M. L.
Location: Right in between Aldgate and Aldgate East stations. 10-min walk to Liverpool Street station, and 15-min to the hip Old Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane. One station away from Bank (west-ward), and similarly one station to White Chapel (east-ward). Decent number of good restaurants (all varieties of cuisine) within walking distance..
Room: We upgraded our room to "Super Room" (15 pounds/night for the upgrade) because we have had stayed in other Travelodges in London in their regular rooms, and we were not exactly impressed. So we decided to upgrade right at the moment we checked into this hotel. The room is not huge, but is reasonably spacious (with space that could accommodate a baby cot on each side of the bed). Our 1.5 year old son has thus, a small space to play with his toys and walk around. Family room was also offered to us (surprisingly at a lower cost since it is a regular room not Super Room), but we eventually remained our choice (after all our trip is 2-week long so definitely prefer a room that we are more comfortable in).
Staff: the staff in this hotel is amazing - friendly, passionate and super helpful! Always greeting you with a smile and offering to extend their help to you. E.g. microwaving baby food for my son, luggage storage (even though it seems like they are really running out of storage space). Most importantly, a big Thank-You to the Front Desk crew Yasmine and Mikki, who explored with us various types of room options to make sure our stay is a smooth and enjoyable one. Their warm assistance from check-in does, strangely but truly, make our stay a different one.
In short - London, as you would already know, is an expensive city. I would rather spend my pounds on fashion and gourmet than a hotel room. At this price range and geography, I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Cautious though - there are MANY Travelodges in London, and this one on Middlesex Street is 'Travelodge PLUS', their newest development to-date. I cannot guarantee your stay elsewhere, but this one I trust you will not regret.
Y. L. H.
The location is excellent to get around the different areas. The amenities around the hotel are amazing from Cafes, Bars, Restaurants whatever you need it is there. Friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble definitely stay at this hotel. Thank you
S. C.
New build so rooms are fresh +clean. Bathroom was a little small for me as I'm a fairly large 6 footer, but will definitely return as it's close to everything +not too pricey!!
R. S.
Clean rooms, friendly staff. Probably the quietest and most comfortable Travelodge I've been to (here in Cardiff they put them above and opposite nightclubs). Very reasonable price for the location.
D. F.
Great value. Clean room with everything I needed for an overnight stay!
M. C.
Modern clean and very friendly staff, together with a central location make this an excellent place to stay in London at a reasonable rate.
M. B.
The staff were very friendly, the room was a pretty good size. I had a pretty good sleep and waking up in the morning with really good bus services and breakfast restaurants at the door is always a bonus!
L. B.
Great location for Aldgate stn. Clean family room with double and two single beds. Staff were very helpful, especially with luggage storage. Breakfast good and fresh. Happy family!
M. A.
Excellent service. Above and beyond by Lira and Didar. We are returning again as we felt totally looked after.
P. J. N.
Friendly staff..clean, comfortable rooms with king size bed and great bathroom...spot on power shower...
Nicely situated as well...
A+
G. U.
Perfect location, available staff and inexpensive hotel regarding the price range of the area. Clean room with very comfortable bed. I would suggest the bar to add few simple cocktails to the menu like Aperol Spritz.
B. K.
Great hotel at affordable rates, located right next to Aldgate station and moments walk from Tower Bridge. While the rooms and facilities are quite ‘compact’, the breakfast services were absolutely stellar!
K.
Location great 2 tube stations to get to central but to be honest if its for good food the area has most of the nice food places within distant from hotel that you'd find in central like the diner and dishoom and pret and Costa and Leon's... excellent rooms very modern and new and fresh and bright and nice air con for a warm day to walk into too. Staff friendly. Best travelodge stayed in in London and stayed in a few x
D. W.
Clean friendly staff excellent facilities stayed here for a couple of days.
K. F.
Brand new travelodge. Staff are very helpful. Nice open spaces. Wash today impressed with opening my curtain and no nets.. The building opposite can see directly into my room, creepy.
R. T.
Conveniently located to Aldgate underground, walking distance to London Bridge. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and tidy and the Tikka Masala in the restaurant was very very good
P. u. t. c.
Very good, clean, basic.
Only complain is no free internet and there are some rough streets around the hotel but everything else was just fine. Clean room, opt-in housekeeping, new bathroom facilities, breakfast ok, staff/service just fine. Absolutely ok hotel.
J. H.
Immaculately clean and modern rooms! This was the cheapest but also the nicest hotel we stayed at during our two week London visit. Highly recommend!
G. W.
I stayed two night (Fri & Sat) in early August, I could not fault it! Great location, good price, friendly staff, spacious room with very effective air con. Had breakfast on the last morning for £8.95 which was very good
Excellent place to stay, will stay again
D. S.
Good value stay in a new and very clean hotel. Nice to see Travelodge using some of Premier Inn's winning formula in their new style rooms...such as plug and usb charging points next to the bed and desk.
L. S.
Stay here fairly regularly, hop & skip from Aldgate tube, set back from road so fairly quiet, it's all pretty new and clean inside, breakfast is standard but well done, staff are all great in my experience.
S. J.
Good location for work. Nice bar. Good breakfast choice. Evening food choice good too. Rooms usual expected quality. Waterfall showers please.
S. W. N.
The room was spacious enough, the kettle with tea and coffee assortements was great, bathroom very clean. Very near the Tower, but still quiet during the sleep.
A. B.
Very impressive standards for a Travelodge. The building is new so everything is bright and fresh. Plentiful staff at Reception and the few interactions we had were pleasant, but there is also check in machines available. A large and bright bar/restaurant is next to Reception.
Our ‘Super Room’, although compact, was very comfortable and well equipped. Air con, Lavazza coffee machine and ironing facilities are all provided. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Very powerful shower. The desk chair had some sticky stains on it, but other than that cleanliness was top notch.
Travelodge have set themselves a very high benchmark with this stay, but then again they do call this their flagship hotel.
A. B.
The guy in reception was brilliant. We asked for a high floor so he upgraded us. Excellent location 50 yards from petticoat lane market, easy walk to spitalfields and the Gerkin. 200 yards from underground.
J. N.
Its new only just opened recently, much better rooms than a traditional TL albeit they've adopted the prefab bathroom idea from Ibis hotels #Compact! Still wouldn't eat there as not GF friendly in anyway.
W. B.
A modern new build travelodge with everything in great condition, as you would expect. Conveniently located close to Spitalfields and Tower Bridge. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds.. Bar and breakfast area is large and relaxing. Plenty of options for bars and restaurants close by.
B. c.
Stayed her for a month for medical reasons and had to ask for my room to be cleaned properly a couple of times. Food downstairs was adequate at best and staff were friendly.
O. G.
The experience has been brilliant the rooms are new the hotel is actually new and the decor is tasteful looks like a room from a far more expensive chain. Central location 2min from. Aldgate and Aldgate East 3min from Commercial street. The staff are soooo helpful. Would stay again
V. H.
New, modern Hotel, perfectly located between Aldgate & Aldgate East Station. Bus stop in Front. Quite rooms, aircondition. Nice staff and Great breakfast Buffet. Super value for the Price paid.
— Small minus: twin beds are quite Small (Max. 80 cm)
C. S.
Stayed last week, checking in the day after this new hotel opened. Polite and helpful staff and quick check in. In the middle of a heatwave it was luxury to have both a window we could open and adjustable air-conditioning. Comfortable room and cheerful restaurant. Great location too, being close to Liverpool Street, Aldgate, Aldgate East and Whitechapel stations as well as several bus routes. We regularly stay at Travelodges and will definitely return to this particular one. Our only quibble is that if you are staying several days, the choice of vegetarian food is limited, but that is an issue for Travelodge generally at the moment rather than being the fault of this specific hotel. The food we did have was excellent, and we hope that when the menu changes, Travelodge will reintroduce some of the vege options they have currently dropped.
A. D.
Smiley, helpful staff. Quiet, clean room. Only downside, the room was situated above the restaurant and we could smell cooking/frying.
A. F.
Breakfast was cold, didn't justify £10.00 charge and when reported to reception the young coloured girl wasn't bothered. Next time I'll use different hotel.
S. A.
Spotlessly clean and the rooms are amazing
T. A.
Beautiful Central location 3 mines from Aldgate tube. With a good selection of eating venues within walking distance nott to mention Teso shops. Staff welcoming friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious clean bright and comfortavle.
R. F.
Nice room, went in Feb 2019 so was 6 months old. The hotel was clean, but couldn't set the air con to auto mode, it was stuck on heat.
J. M.
Excellent hotel, good simple food, buffet breakfast good, room clean and quite, staff very friendly, and even has leffee beer on tap at the bar, and the cost for the night including breakfast was well worth it

Great hotel. The room was spotless. The bed was sooo comfy, I would definitely recommend it.
W. P.
Did not stay but a friend did and we met there for drinks. Good happy hour 4-6. Great location with plenty of places to eat/ drink nearby as well as in the lodge.
I. T.
A very basic hotel. Very clean and staff very polite. You only get 30 mins free internet per day. If you want 24 hours it costs an additional £3. Not a fortune but an extra cost.
L. S.
Small rooms but clean . Location is good breakfast was lovely . The staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble . Would recommend
P. R.

Great location right next to Aldgate Station. Standard Travelodge rooms with super rooms also available. Also there is a bar onsite and a Tesco Metro just round the corner.

G. R.

Super friendly front desk team... the best I have experienced. Great night sleep with easy check out. Shower gel still the worst! :)
N. H.
Stayed on the 8th-9th November. Room was pretty good but the bar staff (evening and morning staff) really made my weekend. Just so lovely and kind. Thanks again guys.
C. W.
Clean and modern Travelodge in a great location close to the City. Breakfast pretty good but wifi offering is poor and time limited compared to rivals, extra cost item to upgrade to full wifi
K. R.
Clean, nice rooms. Super helpful staff! We forgot to print tickets for a game, but in 2 minutes they helped us and we got our tickets. Life saver!
J. M.
Very convenient for everything, less than 5 mins walking to Aldgate station. So 15 mins to the Thames and the Tower,. Petticoat And Spiral fields markets.

Clean rooms, great price, friendly staff. Walking distance to Brick Lane, round the corner from Aldgate East tube. Lovely stay, thanks!
A. S.
Nice bed, check-in is too late, bathroom not very well equipped (no toilet brush, no hairdryer, no toiletries), AC too loud.
S. D.
Good: Location, air conditioning, cleaning, room size
Bad: No chairs (at least in single rooms), WiFi is expensive
A. H.
