After reading the reviews was slightly unsure whether or not to cancel. What I can say is our stay was excellent from check-in to leaving. Room was spotless & everything we needed was available. We had breakfast in the cafe on Saturday morning where all members of staff we met were cheerful & on hand to help. Will definitely return.

Was stayed in 16 February Wednesday for a single night.
Two of my nephews came from home country Bangladesh.
Airport to straight went on Travelodge dockland.
It was Amazing service. Reception and other staff was very friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended the place.
10 out of 10👌

I was greeted by Emily on reception. What a surprise for a budget hotel. She was welcoming, courteous, friendly and professional. All in all a great one night stay. Room, bed , bathroom we're absolutely fine for 24.99 pounds. Great value. Never used Travelodge before. But I'll be using them again.
E. H.
Good value for money. Had to ask numerous times for shower gel to be topped up. If they did it they did not test the dispenser to see that it actually worked. Good location for O2. Supposedly new Travel lodge to be opened soon close by.

The room was very nice. Apart from we were missed for house keeping. I asked about the low emissions if i had to pay. Washington told many times no. A month later i had a 160 pound bill. turned out the staff was liars.

Came here for c2c at the o2 concert. For the price can't complain. Room was lovely tidy and clean. Reception staff were brilliant. Cannot comment on the breakfast as I did not have. They do serve drinks late which is brilliant and not a bad price either. Did I enjoy my experience ... Yes I did! If I ever need to be back in the area I'd deffantly go again. Cannot think of any downsides. If had to choose a negative it would be that I had to go home haha. Very good for the price,!

I had just went their earlier for dinner and some drinks. i was greeted properly and professionally by the staff at the bar and the chef even came out to make nice conversations. The food was nice and loved the desserts. Recommend it but food maybe a bit expensive.

Irene was a superstar to sort out our parking problem when we were checking out. She was so helpful and a lovely bright member of staff. The young lad on duty on the Saturday night did an amazing job covering the reception and bar all on his own. Class Act. We stayed for one night to watch New Order at the nearby O2 Arena. Good hotel, clean room and comfy beds. Very good value. 👌🏽

We have used this hotel many times as it is really close to the DLR station so it is really convenient for trips into the city on the Tube. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly but on this trip away the restaurant kept running out of food multiple days in a row. How can a restaurant with such a small menu run out of pizza, burgers & bottled Stella. Management need to train the staff better and ensure a consistent experience for everyone as previously it has been great. At least 10 deliveries of food have arrived from Justeat/Uber/pizza place so be delivered to various rooms so they are missing plenty of sales.

I was greeted well by Jihad yesterday evening. The food was served nicely presented, I recommend the chicken tikka masala. The tables were nicely cleaned and they had variety range of drinks at the bar as well.
E. C.
I highly recommend the hotel Travelodge Docklands. Although it was my first night there, it won't be my last; the staff is friendly and professional, the room is spacious, clean and cosy.
I will gladly return.

Stayed here with my partner, was a decent hotel room, very spacious, clean etc, the only issue we had was finding the hotel as we took the bus (115) as on the maps it showed us it was close to the building but in reality we had to walk all the back way and through all the building sites around the area etc, but saying that we went for a walk around 3am and ended up near the river (near East India Station) on a bench outside the local shops with trees that had pretty lights on them, and then during the next day we went for a walk into poplar to get lunch for a picnic and other stuff, got some good little places around and definitely worth exploring! Wouldn't stay more than 2-3 nights though, just my opinion :)
P. B.
Good budget hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. Let down slightly by the key card failing twice but the receptionist was great. Comfy beds, very warm rooms, air con would be a good idea, they do provide fans which was fab but no plug sockets near the beds so ineffective at night. Lovely staff.
R. C.
OK, I was on foot, in the dark, and tarential rain, and walking from the DLR it is a 6 min walk, IF you walk the right way! It's a little confusing as one road has a barrier system so looks like a dead end, it's not! The venue itself is comfortable, staff are helpful and friendly. The bar was understaffed, and the draught selection was very limited. I stayed 2 nights and was on the main road side, which with the glazing was very quiet, I would recommend, great for Excel stays, or close to the DLR for Day trippers 🏃♂️
A. S.
Rooms may be basic but that is reflected in the price you pay, but they were clean & comfy! Reception staff were brilliant & if it weren’t for them we would never have discovered the joy of the 108 bus to 02!! The 108 is a lot cheaper & quicker than tube - our event at 02 ended at 10.30pm and we were in hotel by 11pm. I would definitely book here again anytime I book 02!
B. S.
Needs a massive up date. Room was very dated and the extraction vent was blocked by wet toilet tissue. The shower pressure itself was amazing great shower. The bed (small single) was ok. My partner and my daughter slept in the double bed. It seemed all ok. Yes so just a re decorating and a little clean up.
S. Q.
It was OK. A restful and peaceful nights sleep, comfortable beds . Basic amenities such as kettle and cups nut only one drink each. Reception staff were great, friendly and very helpful and wore mask which can be said for majority of those staying and they didn't follow info to use lifts with own groups. The odd hand sanitize area was empty but others were available in close proximity. We would stay again.
M. S.
Cheap and cheerful place to stay for a night pre-onward travel. Dual carriageway directly outside hotel means light sleepers won't get a great night sleep. Cheerful, pleasant and helpful front of house staff on check in who was only too happy to recommend local places to visit for a bite to eat and drink when asked.
M. L.
Hotel bit old but a new version being built
Friendly Assistant Manager and staff-
Family rooms are lovely but be sure the little beds are made-up properly i.e. bottom sheets were missing from all four beds 🤔
They only have room-service per week
A. R.
The hotel was welcoming and clean and we were able to check in easily. Our family room was also very clean and set up nicely. The breakfast was buffet style and very good value with the kids eat free deal. It was only a 5 minute walk from East India DLR. We'll definitely stay again
B. B.
Usual Travelodge basic standard but cheaper than many other London hotels. Buffet breakfast could be better. Great location for O2 just across river by nearby DLR/Tube. Plenty of reasonably priced parking outside hotel which inside a gated security area. Would use again.

One doesn't usually choose a budget chain hotel for the sea views and luxurious service, but more to serve a purpose (in our case attending a wedding nearby). London Docklands Travelodge achieves this - just. It's all a bit 1970s, tired and worn out. For example the toilets in the bar cafe were out of order, the vending machines were out of order, and we couldn't get logged on to the wi-fi. The rooms are all a bit tight for space and storage; the corridors narrow and uninviting. Strange given that the building stands in its own ground and could have been 3 feet bigger in all directions with out any consequence (apart from financial of course). The staff were very friendly and helpful which was the saving grace - as was the construction of a sparkling new Travelodge Plus close by. Let's hope this one gets the chop once that opens.
M. F.
I was given a below to average room, it smells weird like a moulding smell, I was asked at checking if I wanted 2 keys or 1 for my bedroom door, never was asked that before in any of my previous Travelodge stays, room was quiet overnight.
S. M.
Room was fine, and the hotel is handy for the east India station. Breakfast was chaotic 2 out of the 3 mornings and the staff always seemed to be overworked (though still friendly and helpful)
M. K.
We stay here regularly, DLR into town.. Could do with more staff as the Manager, who was very nice and helpful, was stretched at times. Breakfast good, as always.
L. P.
My third or fourth stay here. Always a comfy, clean, friendly experience. Travelodge is a reliable chain and East India / Docklands a decent, reliable hotel.
M. K.
Great place. Staff are fantastic! Stay manly for work & find this TL one of the best. Near the DLR & quite a few places to eat. 4 stars only because of the parking.
m. m.
The room is as expected from Travelodge. Docklands was much cheaper compared to more central hotels of the branch, I didn't mind it being out however as I didn't plan to leave the room, I just needed resting. Staff were nice. The parking isn't cheap. A small fridge in the room would be great for when you stay in to keep food cold, but manageable. I was pleased with my stay and for the much needed rest
X.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. A little awkward to navigate by car, check point etc, private estate. Facilities were adequate, I have no complaints. Left something in the room after checkout, a phone call, some security questions later...am picking up my belongings. Would be happy to use them again.
K. G.
Really convenient for centre of London by train which is only 10 minutes walk away. Parking is a real bonus here. Hotel clean, comfortable, great eat all you can breakfast and everything above all great price. Definitely stay here again
D. R.
Was nice clean room. Fire alarm went off at 1 in the morning and got let back inside at 2
a. p.
Emy and his team made us feel very welcome and we really enjoyed our stay, would stay again 😁
A. H.
Chiq room that looks very well done up, clean and tidy!!
Super rooms can be a bit deceiving as it was small in size but smart! USB plugs, coffee machines, and the galaxy hot choc was brill! Just wanted to shout out waleed who is the assistant manager for being warm friendly and very welcoming!
Small tips! Rooms can get quite hot, a desk fan was provided, would have preferred AC considering its quite modern like other travelodges....
Parking should be a little more flexible considering you have guests and a private cark park... can get quite expensive... other than those 2 things I think it was a very pleasant experience!! Will be back!
S. R.
Good traveldoge better than others ive been to. Has a nice area for smoking and sitting down outside the hotel. Rooms are clean and staff are lovely! Any traveldoge you want to do recommend here!
N. H.
Ok Travelodge in Docklands. Very easy to find from East India dlr station. Standard rooms look a bit tired. The Super Rooms are a bit better & I would choose these all the time. Bar Cafe ok with great staff, although they had no Ketchup!!!! Ahhh! Good for a cheap stay in London without paying central prices.
R. T.
OK budget accommodation. Downside room was not ready even after 3 hours. No air conditioning in room made for uncomfortable nights sleep.
D. L.
It was fine, a bit tired but the staff were friendly and helpful.
R. B.
A nice hotel clean and tidy with friendly staff, my only complaint is that my rooms were not ready when I arrived, but I didn't wait long for different rooms.
E. M.
Fantastic location and great staff. The breakfast was nice but the sausage and mash was awful. The rooms were clean and the area was very quiet.
M. o. M. (. F. R.
This budget hotel in an up and coming area of East London offered very comfortable accommodation and a relaxing night's sleep! As ever with Travelodge the beds are comfortable. My upgraded "SuperRoom" offered the usual plus points such as a Lavazza coffee machine, Hansgrohe Raindance 3jet adjustable power shower and other conveniences which all make for a better overall experience! The staff here were friendly, the building clean and well maintained and for those who drive there is a car park outside. I personally used the East India Docklands Light Rail which is just a short walk around from the hotel where you'll also find a pretty water feature area with funky seating. I also found it easy to walk to Canary Wharf and Canning Town making this a well connected location to stay. Standout staff member was superman Ahmed.
J. H.
The staff was great and helpful will definitely come stay again!
H. G.
Excellent customer service. No vegan choices for beverages in room although a little more choice for breakfast and dinner. All in all a very pleasant stay.
D. H. M. C.
5 star⭐ for the staff, they are so helpful and polite. Food very limited. The building and rooms need updating, freshen up, it looks old and grubby, i think they are not renovating the hotel because they are building a new travelodge 2 mins from this hotel.
T. R. G.
This is a good hotel option if you need somewhere cheap for a night to get your head down. The location is not great considering it is in the docklands, away from Canary Wharf and a good 5mins from the nearest DLR station. It is a little out of the way and difficult to find tucked away in a side street.
For the price the bed is comfortable, and by London standards the rooms are very roomy. The do feel a little bit soulless despite the efforts of the hotel to make it comfy. The staff are great.
Overall a good option if you want a comfortable layover in East London, but not one I'd necessarily choose for a weekend away or a holiday.
G. B.
Very decent room for the price, quick and easy to get to the O2 & London. Bed was very comfy, nice desk with a big mirror and lots of storage space, nice bathroom. Very warm and welcoming staff.
The only downside for me was that my room door didn't lock from the inside and the rooms radiator was broken. Also had a makeup stain on the spare towel.
Will definitely be using this hotel again.
a. S.
Have stayed here 4 times now and always found it nice, clean and helpful staff
V. F.
This is our regular Travelodge when visiting the O2, just booked for two shows can't wait to return always a great place to stay
R. C. B.
Nice hotel. Good location. It's not extra special but is kept to a clean standard. Only thing I would change is free WiFi
A. L.
The location is handy for the docklands light railway so you can get to central London fairly quickly. The area around the hotel has water gardens and provides an escape from the hustle and bustle. It really is a gem with a few nice places to eat within easy reach. The rooms are adequate and represent great value. Staff excellent and would be 5 stars if parking was included. Currently 12 quid for 24 hours.
A. P.
Easy to find, big spacious rooms, good service
F. A. L.
Very comfortable room. But walls can talk.
F. M.
Clean rooms food was unappetising and overpriced. Would recommend the Pepperoni pizza.
J. S.
Very helpful staff at check in. Clean tidy room, including ensuite with a power shower. Kettle and basic tea/coffee/UHT milk provided. The Travelodge is within easy walking distance of East India and Blackwall DLR stations. Plenty of Tfl bus services serve the area as well. There are also shops and food outlets nearby. My only criticism is the constant thumping of doors in the corridors and the management need to look at that as a matter of priority.
M. F.
Can't say anything wrong about this place! Room was clean and the bed was comfy, TV and wardrobe in room. 5 minute walk to the DLR and less than a 30 minute underground journey to central London. Staff were helpful, friendly, chatty and wanted to make sure I had a great stay. All doors were secure and there were key locked doors in the corridors so no safety concerns. Great spot for a weekend away in London!
P. T.
Room was comfortable and clean, ignoring the chair. Bed was good as was the shower. The "cafe" was more like a village hall event on tressle tables. World be much improved if it had more of a pub or cafe feel. Breakfast adequate. Surprised that no non dairy milk available. For the money and location very good.
D. M.
I am here for one night a week for work purposes, it is unfair to judge this hotel harshly. I am a medical professional and they have always been polite and eager to assist if I have raised a query. The hotel is clean and represents good value for money. The parking is pricey however.
D. R.
Friendly reception and bar staff.
The rooms we had were spotlessly clean and comfortable. We were on the ground floor so was expecting it to be noisy at night, it wasn't -, had a really good night sleep.
Easy to get to O2 and back, booked cab from hotel then used black cab rink from venue, shared with another couple so halved the price. If thinking of using tube from venue expect long queues.
F. A.
I had accident nearby I came into the hotel late night to check in round 3:00 a.m. in the morning
I have to say Night time staff when out of their way The staff checked me into my Room and Made sure that I was comfortable I have fractured my leg the hotel staff was so kind to check up on me to check if I needed anything at any time specially the manager of the hotel was really helpful
The night staff are really helpful and really friend I would be coming back to this hotel in future once again thank you very much for all your help
P. A.
First time I've stopped at this London Travelodge and I enjoyed it. I was intending to check in and go out elsewhere, but after a long train journey and with the bad weather I decided to stop in. Nice room. Var area nice and clean. Good food and a nice pint. Breakfast was lovely too. Would definitely stop there again
M. I.
Shoutout Kemi, made checking in smooth and great energy from her. Promote this girl right here!!!
D. C.
Place was a maze, reception was nice and had large windows. Seats after a long day walking. There is a car park at the front. There was lots of twists and turns to get to the room. Not a great experience to put me at the very end of the hotel. Also the hotel was nice at reception and began to look cheap and nasty the deeper we went in. There was a few hairs in room and some discoloration in the bathroom. Curtain could be changed. Staff were kind and courteous. Didn't enjoy being locked outside until being let it. Was annoying being in a rush.
L. N.
Very friendly staff, bar open 24/7 great location
K. C.
Perfect for people arriving at any time of the day or night. Someone on reception for check in and the bar / restaurant serves meals til 12pm and from 12 - 5pm serves drinks and light snacks. Our super room was well equipped and had brew making facilities, tea coffee and sugar etc can be found on the reception desk if u run low. The bathroom was clean and the bedroom very comfy. Beds and pillows seemed in new condition and had a good night's sleep. We over looked a main road and the room had an extra window o. The inside that blocked out the traffic sound. At weekend the unlimited breakfast was served from 8am - 12 and offered a good variety of food. Lots of information on the wall in reception Of how to get where. Enjoyable stay.
D. B.
Only stayed 1 night, very basic room, good shower, comfortable bed.
Breakfast menu looked good though in reality not so good.
10 minute wait for plates, no eggs or mushrooms available.
You have to pay to park in the hotel car park which is a bit of a cheek, we risked not paying and got away with it.
The place is just about ok for an overnight stay but no longer.
R. K.
Good experience! Receptionist are very professional, polite and so helpful, this made the experience even more enjoyable. Room was standard with complementary hot drinks available to make but only downfall was toilets had no locks and for some reason my bathroom floor was leaking twice from the bins. Breakfast buffet was nice all food prep was fresh and staff were always on hand! Thank you to staff at Travelodge Docklands for making my first ever stay at London enjoyable!
L. S.
Good stay, pleasant staff and everything worked fine. Room looks way smaller in person than online, and the light dimming switch didnt work. A kitkat and hot chocolate sachet was greatly appreciated though! And the amenities were sufficient and clean. Would stay for the price, bargain.
M.
Comfy beds, good location for the o2. Half decent priced food.
Bathroom needs updating, could smell the damp, we didn't use bath/shower, we just waited till we got home.
Make sure enough breakfast served too.
A. p.
The hotel was average really. The rooms seemed very warm with just a table fan to cool the area down. Upon arrival our room was fine however there were still things left over from the previous occupants. My father in laws room appeared to have not been cleaned at all. They were moved to a different room however I would hardly consider this to have been an upgrade.
f.
Can't fault the hotel, clean room, follows covid guidelines, great bed and pillows, AMAZING shower pressure.
Had some issues with our neighbours, but it was nothing some ear plugs couldn't fix.
T. K.
Good Rooms very convenient as working next door. Could do with some air con but that might just be down to the current weather conditions.
D. H.
Friendly helpful staff, room was a good size. Room was very warm, needed a larger fan. The hotel was difficult to find, as you have to drive through a barrier to gain access. Google takes you one way which you can not gain access and therefore you have to do another loop around the one way system. Car parking is £8 for 24hrrs.
9. r.
Great for young people and couples but probably abit lively for families or old folk. Very good quality of Staff that are more than willing to help or get ice for you. Could do with air con in rooms and car park is expensive, complicated to pay parking and annoying private company runs it.
B. N.
It was a nice, comfortable hotel. Second or third stay. Breakfast was quite busy with items of food, cutlery and crockery running out and not being replaced very quickly. Housekeeping staff very loudly knocking on door even though we were checking out and she didn't consult her list until too late. Reception staff very friendly.
J. N.
Nice hotel. Okay access to O2. Could do with a spruce up and a deep clean
G. t. t. P. b. J. C.
The "Special" Double room was really nice. The Hotel is top notch. The only downside was the restaurant which needs to be more comfortable - just feels a little too cafe and the sofas are not comfortable. All in all great value for money, very relaxing and quiet.
L. B.
Only 1 night, but perfect for us. Paid for parking on arrival, nice to see vehicles would be watched by security over night. Im in a works van and break ins are common in travel lodge hotels. So that was peace of mind. Staff were fantastic at reception , very helpful with travel information and advice. Location worked well for us attending the great river race the following day. Reception sorted a taxi out for us. Very obliging. We had a family room, for 1 adult 2 children. Good size room, comfy beds. Good shower and bathroom. No traffic noise either.
The cooked breakfast was minimal, but a lovely choice of cereal, amazing fruit bowl and coffee to go with it.
I hoped we could have done a 2nd night, i would have been happy to and we will return next year.
A. C.
Very good value in a good location. Room was clean and the basic Travelodge standards. Bar was open to 2am on the Friday night so that was rewarding after a long evening drive down from Manchester. The breakfast was decent and the staff worked hard to keep it all ticking. Overall top value for a London stay but don't expect the Ritz.
M. D.
Very clean and good friendly staff
d. j.
A great Travelodge in the perfect location. 5 minute walk to the DLR station, and there you can connect through to central London. Really accessible and quiet. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a good quality, and it ran from 7am until 12! Which meant you could have a lie in and still have time for Breakfast, price was not bad for unlimited either.
C. H.
The hotel was clean and tidy, the room was a perfect size with a nice large TV, the hotel is Ideally Located not far from the East India Train Station.
Shower was lovely however the whole experience was let down by the staff, the lady on reception wasn't all that keen to help.
a.
Cannot praise the staff enough - they made our visit easy and comfortable. Accommodating our need for a room near the lift or on the ground floor. Good bar and restaurant service, very basic menu, but good food. Highly recommend it
M. M.
The location is great for visiting the O2 Arena great connections with transport. The room is pretty standard... It was clean although when the cleaners came around the didn't replace any of the coffee or towels and we were there for two nights. The staff are friendly enough although service at the bar is pretty much non existent so prepare for a long wait. Other than that no real issues at all. Would use again for another event at the O2.
O. N.
It was extremely cheap and excellent value. The staff were friendly and it was quiet. The decor was tired but what do you expect for 30 a night. Shower was good, and bed was comfortable. Downsides... It is not fancy at all, and you have to pay for 24hr WiFi. Food and drink was ok and was priced well for London. Breakfast was shocking though...I got a deal and I wished I hadn't... I didn't realise it was possible to remove every element of moisture from breakfast ingredients... If you need a place to stay and want to save money it's fine. 4 stars based on value for money.
R. B.
A bit shabby and no clean towel in room when we checked in and little toilet roll too add to ask for these
L. P.
Staff are excellent, Junoid and the team are a great example of fulfilling your needs. Cant ask for more for a budget hotel (Although the bar being open would be nice haha)
G.
Waking distance to the docks. Breakfast was enjoyable
On arrival there were no towels and put room had a very small shower when a bath was advertised. Asked receptionist for towels only to be told they had a …

A chain hotel that provides a reasonably priced stay in expensive London. The staff are quite chatty and can get a little distracted, but they are polite. The rooms have the basic needs required for a short stay with no major issues. Compact in design and a short distance from the underground station. There tend to be more builders as guests than usual for a hotel, but this is not an issue. If you are looking for a low-cost stay in the area it is more than sufficient.
S. J.
Pretty decent place, very friendly staff, very approachable, bar is 24/7... Well almost, they don't serve during breakfast. The room was VERY warm, I was would say too warm, however they were kind enough to include a fan which was needed throughout the night. Would certainly stay their in the cooler parts of the year
E. N.
Really busy evening for builders. Powerpillar Ltd was there to collect from a client who moved to the hotel to allow us renovate their home.
B. L.
Nice rooms, staff and really good coffee available in the rooms. The menu is limited, but fine if you're staying a couple of nights. I was staying a week and for me it didn't offer a nice balance of food. Parking was plentiful and easy to access.
B. M.
Decent enough hotel, nice and quiet rooms to allow you to sleep. The cleaning of the room looked a bit dubious and the room was very hot and cold the little heater didn't seem to work on any setting other than max coupled with the fact the room got cold quite quickly. But slept well for a hotel so a positive experience
L. J.
If this was based on staff attitude alone, it would be a 5 star review. Every member of staff we encountered throughout our stay was extremely professional and friendly, genuinely happy in their work. They couldn't do enough for you, a real credit to the chain. Breakfast was very nice and good value at £8 each, all you can eat buffet style full English. The bedrooms were clean and adequate and came with a fan which was already running before we entered the room. Mattress and pillows not very comfy for us, but we're spoilt at home. All in all very good, if I stayed in the area again I'd look to see if they had vacancies first.
D. A.
Stayed here for 3 nights and would stay again. Rooms were clean and fresh - if a tad warm. Breakfast was amazing, and kids eat free which helps when trying to keep to a budget. Only “fault” is as a family of 5, we had to have 2 rooms when there was room for another fold out bed in the room or a set of bunks.
T. B.
Decent enough place to stay, room was comfortable enough and clean. Breakfast was ok but not great, standard budget hotel fare. Reception will gladly book you a taxi to whatever event you're attending. However I wouldn't rely on the taxi company they use to pick you up after. If going to the O2 arena just head to the rank outside and wait. The "booked" Taxi never arrived.
C. G.
Very clean comfortable rooms enjoy staying at this hotel as you will always receive a warm welcome and excellent customer service thanks to the staff Waleed Sarah Abdul marie lisa Hussian Estafaniya Junaid
V. K.
Very friendly staff. Possible problems with parking but we managed twice. Clean and comfortable BUT if You use it in a warmer than 15 degrees day it will become very hot inside that is The Only reason for less 2 stars. No air conditioning and you have to keep window open and because it is surrounded by some data banks/factories you hear constant humming that sometimes annoy but oddly helps to sleep. We had extra posh rooms for free thanks to a very good staff. They do tasty food. Better than most of hotels we stayed and we did plenty.
M.
The gentleman at the reception (Waleed) was helpful and apologetic.
The rooms were disgusting, on the bedsheets were hair and other stuff. Just bits of hair everywhere including the bathroom! We changed rooms 3 times! The manger …

The location is great for Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge and Greenwich. This Travelodge has Super rooms which makes it a bit smarter than the run of the mill budget Rooms and a more pleasant stay. All the staff at this Travelodge displayed excellent customer service and Has, and another Asian day manager went beyond other Managers I have encountered at Travelodge hotels. Another member of staff that was outstanding was Rob car park manager just for he gracious customer service. The only criticism we have is that we wish there had been air conditioning. The rooms have fans but in this summer heat only add to the heat. Will go back if we are back in this part of London.
N. W.
The room was clean and tidy however the bed was extremely uncomfortable and bar/food service was very slow. The cleaning and reception staff were very polite and helpful though, it has good parking and was a very good location to get an Uber to the O2 arena which was only 10 minutes away. I would stay again.
A. N.
Spent 4 enjoyable days there,
DLR to East India station, take the bridge to your right over the busy road,
Down the steps walk ahead, past the pond and the seating pods,& past the big new buildings to your right, along the path with gates, it's to your right,a 4 minutes slow walk in total
F. D. (.
The hotel is somehow dated, carpets on corridors are quite worn, but the family super room was nice and quite spacious. The beds are superb, linen are of decent quality, towels are wonderful.
However, the dispensers for soap/shower were emty upon arrival and it took 3 days to refill them. Some issues with hot water, stops suddenly for couple of seconds, resumes after a while. For the price paid - around 50 pounds/night its very good. The location is excelent, 100m to DLR that takes you to Bank in 15 minutes. Area feels safe as its gated.
G. T.
It's what you would expect from travelodge. Decent sized room and bed, although now if your staying for more than one night you have to stick a sign on your door to say you want your room cleaned. Food is fine and the bar is generally always open.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The room was too hot and we were unable to adjust the room temp. We had no duvet on our bed the kids had one on theirs thankfully we didnt need it as it was very warm. It was cleanish could of done with a slight more attention to detail. We have stayed in much better travelodge.
C. C.
Fairly easy to get to from city. You will need to use DLR and Tube though. We used it for the O2. Quiet enough, nothing fancy of course. But rooms were clean. Must say.. . Not really impressed with the hot breakfast. Constantly waiting for something to come out of the kitchen. And it really wasn't great. I would probably use again, but not include breakfast.. Shame really. But staff were lovely.
j. c.
Good rooms. Plenty of space. Friendly staff. Our concert was cancelled by the cov-ed 19 virus. So made a great weekend of it. See you next year.
M. T.
Room was very basic, condition was ok. Cleanliness in some aspects may have been suspect, but in no way was it disgusting or really dirty, sheets & towels were certainly clean. Staff were great & had a nice little bar. Very close to East India DLR, so good for easy travelling around the city. For the cheap price & one night stay i would recommend, if staying for more than a few nights there may be better options out there. Overall was decent enough, no real gripes at all.
h.
Staff dealt well with the fact there was an issue in the room (leak from bathroom ceiling) and swiftly moved to a different room. Location good for local tube station. Only drawback was the bathroom soap/shower gel/shampoo hadn't been replenished and there were a few scuff marks and bits of fluff here and there (but given they quickly turned over the room for me I'm not entirely dissatisfied).
G. G.
I was going to see Panic! At the Disco at the O2 so decided to stay here, my room was spacious comfortable with a great sized bathroom. Breakfast was quick and easy and there was a wide variety of options. Staff were lovely ♡
S. E.
I stay at Travelodge London Docklands quite often. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful Sarah, Waleed, Abdul, Lisa, Marie, Junaid, Hussian, Estafaniya always makes us feel very welcome. The rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable for a good night's sleep for a pleasant stay
E. H.
For a flagship Travelodge we were disappointed by the cleanliness of the bathroom and upkeep required in hall areas. Black mould on the seal, stained toilet and then a dripping shower head. Food good, staff good overall but some came across moody ( probably the effects of dealing with New Year revellers).
L. H.
The breakfast and coffee were excellent but the room smelled of mold and mildew. The toilet and sink could have done with a really deep clean and there was talcum powder everywhere. The reception and dining room staff were really friendly but the rooms let them down.
M. G.
It's okay very standard, breakfast is basic nothing out of this world, the management made the stay a nice one as the front desk and assistant manager are very helpful and friendly. The location is good with canary wharf, 02 and Stratford Westfield round the corner. They have newly furnished rooms which seem really nice, unfortunately we were not in one of those. The beds were very comfortable and we were in a nice quiet floor. Also there was no phone in the room so it was a real pain having to go downstairs for a general enquiry, our loo had low pressure so.. I will leave that to your imagination as to what that means🙄 hopefully they will at some point provide a phone at least on the business floor.
R. H.
Great Location. Within 5 minutes of DLR, no cash machine. Not much food choice otherwise it’s a half empty vending machine.
Don’t be ripped off in their bar £5.75 for a pint or I get 2 half pints at £2.10. (Budweiser). £2.85 for a 330ml Diet Pepsi or £1.80 for Diet Coke in the vending
A. H.
Staff very friendly. Car park Tiny so leave plenty time to wait round for a space. All.yoi can eat breaky was standard. Free coffee from the machine in restaurant all day and fruit flavoured water at reception. Better than what I expected of a travel lodge.
Nice little fish pond with deckchairs over the other side of the large office looking building in front of the car park
J. R.
Great place made visit easy and stress less
D. C.
Great Example
Travelodge is usually a reliable bet for a decent budget stay, this is a nicer than average branch. Is is a bit stuck out, but that brings the prices way down, and it is easy to access on the DLR. The breakfast is much better than the usual Travelodge standard and the food at other times of the day looked good, especially the Cheesy Chips, but I didn't try anything. My room was large, clean and comfortable, with a bath. What a treat. The rooms overlooking the main road are VERY loud with traffic noise, something I have never previously felt a need to mention in any review.
N. G.
Good travelodge good frindly staff good place to stay with friends for a few days rest
A. J.
Quite a nice place to stay for business, they have a quiet business floor. It was quite warm and the windows don't open much and there's no ventilation in the bathroom either but the beds are comfy and they provide a desk fan so it wasn't that bad. Shower was good!
M. E.
Staff helpful ,room clean , but outside a mountain of uncollected rubbish and overful bins an eyesore and health hazard 🙄🤔
A. B.
The hotel it self was amazing, Especially staff which were very friendly and very helpful. I think without such kindly and friendly service my stay there wouldn't be so great. Although they could improve on certain things such as the doors, they tend to move due to winds and make a lot of noise making it very hard to sleep.
A. H.
First floor rooms pretty basic, had to ask for hairdryer. Third floor rooms nicer and guess are refurbished. Bar and restaurant not bad value. Convenient location.
R. S.
Warm welcome to the reception desk. Basic room as you would expect from a Travelodge. Room was cooler than my last visit. The restaurant was a let down. Told the wait for food was 30-40 minutes (when everything is probably microwaved/deep fried anyway). Wait was actually 50 minutes. My chicken was very, very dry.
D. M.
This is an okay hotel. Other customers are generally quite rude and bad but the staff are very kind. The room is just a regular old room, not the best but not the worst either.
M. R.
It gains starts for having a decent sized car park which isn't too expensive (£12 for 24 hours) and the bar and restaurant are ok for an overnight stay. It loses stars for the fact my room smelt of sweaty socks
D. G.
The food was average, as expected, and the beds weren't the most comfortable, but the rooms were clean and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are very few modes of transport in the area other than a bus stop around the corner.
It would be ideal for a short stay. I wouldn't recommend for more than a night or two though.
Z. M.
We stayed here for an event at the Excel London... And have to say was really impressed. They offered £8 parking for 24hours which in London I'd good. The area was part of a new area being built and has lovely clean surroundings. The area has barrier access which can throw you abit so just keep that in mind. The rooms are nice good size... And the family rooms include 2 single and 1 double with still plenty of space in room.
K. J.
Despite looking modern on the outside, the inside rooms look tired, poorly maintained and dirty. Our cups were not cleaned or replaced, the carpet around the edge near the skirting was filthy. The TV channels had not been tuned so there was a limited choice. Plus there is nowhere in the vicinity for eating out. Travel is a must unless you eat in the associated bar/restaurant. Breakfast was ok, dinner was poor. We also had a problem with noise outside but this has been dealt with my the Travelodge staff team.
It is a good location. But sadly I don't think it is up to the same standards as other Travelodges that we've stayed in. I would look elsewhere first and stay here one night only.
M. M.
Stayed overnight after going to the Excel centre for Comic Con. The family room had 4 beds in and was a decent size for the 3 of us. The staff were really friendly and helpful, food was ok and breakfast was plentiful. Was recently placed to get around too with the light railway just round the corner and the cable car over to the O2 nearby too. Would definitely stay here again
R. H.
Comfy bed/pillows, clean room but sink was blocked, hence the 4 star. Otherwise lovely.

After reading the reviews, my wife and I were worried about this hotel. Well I can tell you the reviews were wrong. The Hotel was clean, very clean. The staff were so very welcoming, even though we had never stayed here before. The hotel is ideally situated, the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) was a 2 min walk, located just to the rear of the hotel. From this station, access to the tube network and the sights of one of the worlds famous capital cities is just a short ride away. The staff explained how and where to buy an 'oyster' card for travel on the underground, how to sort out the free parking for hotel guests, they couldn't have been more helpful of charming. the food and service in the restaurant was brilliant, even though we were told that there was a slight delay, it was still very quickly and freshly prepared. All in all, staying at this hotel, more like a home from home, made our visit to London feel safe, stress and worry free which greatly added to the enjoyment of our visit and we will be staying here again.
L. H.
Stayed overnight while visiting the O2; staff were great from the moment I walked in. Advised me how to sort parking out contrary to the incorrect signage out front, when asking about early check-in I was advised that I only had an hour to wait and it would be a waste of £10 and there was a nice walk just round the corner if I didn't want to waste money. The room was perfect for what I needed, double bed, warm shower and a decent TV for the night. Despite being near a main road and London City Airport I didn't hear any noise at all during the night. Location is perfect for the O2, it took 3 tube stops to get there and a total of about 10 minutes.
k. a.
We loved the hotel, parking was great we were really happy with our stay, we will stay again
A. O.
25 min outside the centre of London just court the jubilee line into London no fuss. Rooms are basic but clean and staff are very accommodating, food is nice and you can order food to take up to your room if you want to. Stayed there for 2 nights for 2 people just under £100 ,will use again as nice location east India docklands
N. E.
The room was nice and large with along with a table. The bathroom was modern and was kept in good condition. Reception was very nice when dealing with a couple of requests. Overall, was happy with it and would probably use them again
p. h.
Cheap, clean, quiet. Easy access to central London. Perfect if you’re going to an event/concert at the O2. Had to wait for about 10mins to get a drink in the bar but that’s no big deal. Would definitely use this hotel again.
R. K.
Restaurant, bar, breakfast. Parking £25 for 1 day or £12 if you have discount code. Lot of space on the parking. Staff more than nice, one kind staff member helped me to find good space for my large van. Receptionist very kind. Usually beasy in here because of location. Room clean with large tv size.
M. O.
Usually, I don't mind Travel Lodge. The room itself was ok. The food was so-so, not great (dessert was nice!). The main thing: I got bitten on the chest, 3 times, as soon as I got into the bed. Not good.
S. B.
Hallways smelt of cats wee toilet seat hanging off good job it was just me there for work so I had a place to shower and sleep the shower was great to be fair no bar open shame would of taken lots of money over the bar
X. R.
I used to give 5 stars for Travelodge but I have decided to change this. The shower gel used by the group unfortunately smells like damp laundry. I now take my own. It is a small issue but very annoying. It is in every hotel that I have stayed in over, at least, the last year. I stay in hotels roughly 2 nights a week, on average.
J. R.
Stayed here when we were attending a concert at the O2. Room wad clean and tidy. Free wifi. All you can eat buffet breakfast included. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Only small criticism could have done with more milk and t- bags in the room.
If you are traveling here by public transport you need the DLR to East India station. There are two exits from the station you need to take the right-hand exit and go over the footbridge, walking straight ahead hotel is behind some buildings to the right.
J. S.
The staff are friendly and helpful the rooms are nice size and very clean and tidy
A. A.
Great when you are on a budget, also a 15 mins walk from the tube station. The only problem i found was that the toilets had water accumulation problem. That can be improved but it is a very small issue.. Overall we had an awesome stay with no problems whatsoever. Would recommend..
R. R.
Staff very good, excellent...... room was OK....clean, little dated....but OK.....
Would have given 4 stars....but restaurant inconsistent.....one night beautiful salad.....next night very poor....not worth eating, wasted money........next night.....food good again.
Breakfast was OK.....pretty good.....
£8 / 24 hours parking, this is OK for the location...
Will use again.....

Although spartan, this hotel served as the ideal location for exploring the Docklands area, or catching the tube into the city. Best to treat this is a basic form of accommodation as amenities are kept to a minimum - plugs are not by bedsides, shower room is basic, floorspace is minimal, but perfectly adequate for a short stay.
j. p.
Ideally located for access to O2 arena. Low cost Parking for residents. Rooms revamped and spacious. Shower very powerful. On the ground floor you can find a cafe/bar which is open 24 hours where prices seemed reasonable. Good value for money.
N. S.
Whenever I travel to Central London and need a hotel, I will always select a Travel Lodge, as their product is always of a high standard, soft linen, efficient bathroom, and a very good value for money full English breakfast buffet. Excellent value-for-money.
K. K. (.
Best travelodge iv stayed at so far, brilliant facilities, all staff helpful n go above and beyond to help you out with absolutely anything. Very clean, always on t ball with cleanliness whether it was seeing rooms being valeted after people had checked out or general tidy up in my own room while out n about. I always worry about leaving personal belongings behind while out n about but not whilst i was here n i was proved right not to be worried everytime i came back to t room.
S. B.
I did not stay at this hotel but have got a good story to post! One of my friends, who was on family holiday trip to UK, lost his wallet. I was 2 hours away from this place, so could not make it there to help with dinner for the family. I called into the reception to enquire if I can pay the dinner bill online or through any other means. Unfortunately they did not have the option to take online payments. A Very Big Thank you to the manager and receptionist (sorry, I did not note down your names) who kindly offered complimentary dinner for my friend's family. Thank you Travelodge for looking after the guests when it is very much needed..
T.
A good base for exploring with the station only a few minutes walk. We found the rooms spacious and clean, staff were polite and food was nice and reasonably priced.
Only when asked at check in about parking did staff stated this hotel does not offer free parking for guest which is a real shame.
I felt parking was overpriced and will definitely put people of staying here.
C. R.
Great staff...reasonably priced room, food and drink...rooms exceptable. Breakfast paticullaly reasonable as kids eat free and eat as much as you like. Everything was hot and quickly replenished. Only complaint is child's beds were worse than sleeping on a pile on brick rubble and pillows incredibly hard. Shame as staff were doing all the right things to make the stay pleasant.
j. b.
Great people on reception. X
S. V.
This is a Travelodge great prices, somewhere to sleep and breakfast and dinner is a bonus.
I stayed here October 2012, didn't cost us a lot per night.
The room was standard (typical Travelodge room, nothing wrong with it at all for the cheap price), the food was actually really nice at this hotel! :) Loved the Chicken Tikka! and was a good deal as got a free drink with it for something like £8 i think?
The staff were helpful, (had to ask for extra pillows & duvet though, but it was sorted out by the time we came back from dinner which was fine). AND they even let us check in a about 15 minutes early because our room was ready! :-)
One side of the hotel is by a really busy road, which you can hear but if you shut the window it's perfectly fine. (end of the day who wants to spend loads on a hotel when it's just somewhere to sleep!) but it's not in a bad area.
Would recommend for a cheap get-away or trip! AND the DLR is literally across the over-road bridge so very easy to walk to!
a. s.
An alright stop over not the cleanest place but not to bad
L. R.
Decent, comfortable room for the night in a good location for the London Docklands. We were able to park onsite for £8 for 24 hours and the DLR is a short walk away. Decent bar and breakfast. Friendly staff. Will go back!
J. W.
Good, simple hotel. Fresh breakfast buffet is highly recommended. Good bar options, however slightly overpriced. Well lit safe parking and reasonably priced too. Excellent location for central London and Docklands. O2 arena within a stones throw too. DLR station a 2 minute walk away.
L. M.
Very good, basic hotel. Clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Everything you need for a nights stay plus also has a cafe bar for reasonably priced food & drink, a lift & drink & snack machines.
M. L. P.
A simple and cleaned hotel; good rooms with private wc "keep it simple"; well situated; public transports nearby, as India station; not so much options of meals and a very simple breakfast; all british sympathies of their employes, whose give you the necessary you need, nothing else more like another suggestions for...?
M. P.
Great stay here handy for DLR train line and everything we needed to do. Great value and opted for all you can eat breakfast. Dropped bank card in car park and honest resident had handed it in. Travelodge staff contacted me as I was on line to cancel card so thank you to staff and resident for saving me a whole heap of hassle on day I was leaving!
P. B.
Friendly staff, decent breakfast: about what you'd expect from a travelodge. They lose a star for not having air con, and only a tiny opening in the window. We stayed in July 18 and it was roasting!
S. H.
Staff were friendly. We were there for the ATP Tour Finals and we got talking to them about the tennis. The breakfasts were really good and the dinner we had there was also really nice. Good rate rooms for London too.
d. b.
Great staff. Good value for central London. Parking facilities.
S. S.
Went to see backstreet boys, so we stayed at the docklands Travelodge.... what a pleasant stay,
The staff were very polite and helpful. Our room was very clean and spacious. Overall we had a fantastic stay.
I. I.
Location is good. Staff is friendly and very cooperative.
There was no mini-fridge in the room. The shower was a little rusty and was only static which is not really convenient.
R. B.
Had a bit of a drama where the girls in the next-door room flooded their room, because they couldn't turn off their shower and the steam set off the smoke alarm in my room. The duty manager, Waleed, kindly added a free cooked breakfast to my tariff to compensate for my inconvenience. Thank you.
J. B.
When you pay a mere £57 (yes, places are that CHEAP in London) for a three-bed hotel room for one night, you can't really complain, especially when you're a stone's throw from the nearest DLR Station (East India for future reference to save unnecessary walking). Good facilities (the complimentary KitKats were appreciated), friendly check-in service staff, and location-wise there are places nearby to visit such as Canary Wharf or the Docks.
Only negative that costs them the 5th star? Please sort out the lighting circuits. It's either off, or tanning salon intensity with nothing in between as the dimmer switches to control the luminosity were not functioning properly. Made for an interesting night's sleep with my face planted on the pillow to block out the lights.
G. L.
We've stayed here a few times due to the great location. You get what you pay for, cheap and cheerful. It's clean and the staff have always been friendly. We will be staying again.
S. P.
Very nice room, great breakfast - only small negative for husbands was no fried eggs. Was going to concert at 02 and was ideally located
E. D. C. C.
Last long weekend in abril 3 nights (thursday, friday, saturday) we stayed at Travelodge Docklands London, in a family room, my husband, me and my two teenagers.
We arrived late on thursday night, we do the checking without any problem, pay another 3 Breakfast 'cause my daughter its over the free year. The girls were very kind, and offer us a hair dryer. The room was very polite, every day comes to make the bed and rearrange. The only thing its a little bit dust on the wardrobe shelves and the spoon and the cup that we use, were a little bit dirty after they cleaned it.
The breakfast was great, sausages, eggs, fried bacon, granola, fresh fruits, yogourth, juices, Coffees and Milk, toasts, butter, Jam, honey, beans, diferents cornflakes, croissants,...
The Last day we return the room key and that's all.
We known that the hotel was far away from the center of London, but really so near from IT by 115 Bus and DLR East India. I' ll recomended
L. C.
Not bad for a Travelodge.
Easy and cheap parking with close access to the DLR.
A good base for a weekend in London, allowing you to relax from the hustle and bustle in the centre.
An improved buffet breakfast from the last time we visited.
Would recommend if you want somewhere cheap and cheerful.
s. g.
Close to the o2. Nothing special..standard nights sleep. Not noisy but beds sag in the middle. The all you can eat breakfast is nice but the service cannot keep up with the demand. Only a small buffet station.
J. B.
Clean inexpensive, no AC which lost it a star there were two fans in the room. Food choice not great and a bit of a trek to get anywhere although DLR station is only 5 minutes walk. Good for business if you're working in the area.
O.
Verry comfortable bed room I stayed in a family room , it included mood lighting, 4 beds, 37 Inch TV. Cooked Breakfast was the best I suggest getting good down at 8:30 am to 9:00 am before it gets too busy . Overall a lovely place to stay . 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
L. v. S.
Really good location and staff are absolutely amazing parking charges for motorcycle is the only issue I have. As you've got to pay £12 p/d same as a car but park on the pavement.
B. W.
Friendly helpful staff. Nice room but could do with tidying up a little on decor.
Excellent value meals and portions excellent. We all enjoyed our stay.
N. H.
We stayed here for a concert at the o2 thinking it would be easy to get too and from. 2 ubers and 1 taxi on seperate occasions had great difficulty in either picking us up or dropping us off at this hotel. The hotel itself is what you would expect from travelodge, the bar was decent and open after the concert had finished which was good!! And they were playing said concert music in the reception all day which was a nice touch. Rooms a little run down but for £27 for the room I cannot complain. Would definitely use again if not for taxi and uber drivers knowing the location.
F.
Clean and comfortable I like the pillows take the breakfast option.
a. r.
so helpful as I was travelling with 3 children. nothing was too much for the lovely staff. very clean and spacious room and the Overground was within a stone's throw. definatly stay here again
N. M.
The staff are really nice and friendly. And the room was reasonably priced I stayed there for three nights in total and overall it was fab I will definitely stay there again
A. B.
This hotel is very convenient for events at the O2, the DLR is a few minutes walk away and a quick change on the tube your there. Especially if you were theoretically to forget you event tickets at the hotel and had to go make this wouldn't take long (Might be from experience). The hotel itself is without A/C (fans are supplied) and quite run down (broken soap dispensers and rails), and a bit of an odor from the drains in the bathrooms. The bar is open till the very early hours and has a late night menu of pizza. WIFI available but very strong 4G signal anyway.
R. M.
Good location by road or dlr for quick in and out of London. Very tasty buffet breakfast. Main lift still not working 6 months after last stay though (Oct 15 to Apr 16), and could definitely do with a good clean all-over. Parking £8 for 24hours is a bit much considering it is a car park for only the hotel, but for some reason they don't run it.
J. E.
I had a booking and landed early and was exhausted. Was given the green light to jump right into my room at a discounted rate. Great stuff
S. H.
Everything as stated and price always fair. Only problem is parking as there's seldom a place available. Manager told us to park in disabled bay and buy a ticket assuring us this would be fine. We returned to do d that an hour after parking we had been served a notice 😑 not impressed. We're still waiting to find out if it will be quashed...
K. M.
Everything as you'd expect. Comfortable beds, well provisioned rooms: tv, tea, coffee, towels, 30minutes free WiFi or £3 for 24hrs etc.
Quite atmosphere with no disturbances and friendly staff even at hectic peak times.
4 stars would require a few more amenities of high quality.
V. F.
Great location if you're visiting the O2 very easy to get to on the underground. Hotel was clean and tidy, was equally happy when we returned late from the O2 to find food was still being served, the pizza was a bit pricy for what it was but it still tasted good.
T. T.
Stayed here for a concert at the o2 ..hotel was easy to find and close to the DLR. .it is on a industrial estate but staff were very friendly ...room was basic but clean and everything to hand ...would definitely stay here again ..bar was manned 24 hours so that was a bonus ..nothing was too much trouble...good value for the money ...
A. Y.
Pros
Nice King size beds , can rest well between journeys and business hours
Spacious rooms and enough furniture for two
Lighting is good
Coffee/tea maker/water boiler
Cons
No lockers inside room
Hallways are very narrow
Main lift never works
Need to go downstairs to contact reception.
WiFi speed is not optimal for what they charge
Toiletry can be maintained better
Beds need to dusted regularly.
No Indian food or laundry service
Need to go to poplar/Market to get anything.10min walk
D. P.
The hotel was perfectly nice for the price we paid the hotel was clean and tidy if a bit tatty in places. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice hot and cold however there was no fried eggs! The room was very hot! it was comfy though.
b. s.
Clean and friendly and not too expensive
P. B.
For the price we paid, this was a good hotel. During check-in, we got a ticket for a reduced price to park in the hotel car park (in which there were lots of free space). Watch out for the metal sculpture in front of the restaurant: I nearly tripped over on it.
We were placed in a room on the first floor, facing the busy road. Fortunately, there was triple glazing, so the noise was minimal. Now for my two common complaints about Travelodge: there was not plug sockets on either side of the bed for charging your phone overnight. For this reason, I always take a two socket extension cassette. Additionally, there is no air conditioning.
Specific to the room we stayed in, the toilet flushed oddly slowly and the shower was difficult, but not impossible, to reach the right temperature. I'm sure if we had informed the staff present, they would have dealt with this, but alas, we did not. Nevertheless, the room was clean, the shower hot (eventually) and the towels were fluffy. So, they get the basics right. I would come again.
The restaurant was good for breakfast, but I would have liked a wider selection of breakfast options. The baby chair we got looked like it had been bought in the 70s.
The location was good for accessing the DLR, though make sure you get an Oyster card beforehand (at the local shop, for instance) because they are not issued at East India.
J. R.
It's not luxury by any means. But a decent bed, functional bathroom, good breakfast buffet and bar (dinner menu, not that good). Walking distance to the DLR line, so a good cheap choice when visiting ExCel London.
L. P.
A nice little hotel. Easy if you are driving to it which we did. There is chargeable onsite parking which is a set rate per day if you are staying as a guest, the car park does get busy during the weel especially as it is close to various businesses so do bare this in mind. The location is good for the O2 and greenwich areas of london and is fairly close to the tubes and cable cars. It costs about £15 (if i remember right) for a taxi over to the O2. The hotel itself is clean and tidy with nice staff. It has a resturant and a bar onsite so you dont need to go anywhere else for food, as it servez breakfast, lunch and dinner.
N. M.
The rooms are bulk standard bed, bathroom, instant coffee and tea that the same as offered at any similar hotel. As such in my opinion the price per night per room is a little high, especially when considering that breakfast and WiFi are chargeable extras. On our two day visit we had a problem with the bathroom which we reported soon after we arrived, it took two complaints to reception and a full day to get it resolved. Not what it's reasonable to expect for rooms at this price point. On this basis Travel Lodge Docklands would not be my first choice if we stay in the area again.
A. S.
Staff were wonderful, so obliging. Room was spacious and very clean. Housekeeping was excellent. No complaints whatsoever.
Stayed Sun 11th to Wed 14th of August. Very close to DLR
C. M. U.
I love this Travelodge. The location is a 2 minute walk from the dock lands light railway line. Plenty of parking if you arrive early. Do not pay for parking online as it is cheaper once you are there. Large dining area.
C. W.
Lovely stay, staff very helpful breakfast great value for money. Beds comfortable and very close to tube station for easy access to famous spots.. large family room with bath and shower. 😁😁🤩
H. V.
Enjoyed the stay in the "SuperRoom" after being upgrading from a standard room due to high pitched screeching noises. The breakfast has a good selection available but there is not enough fly / insects control. Parking is available on site at a subsidised rate. Location is decent with the East India DLR station within walking distance.
C. ..
Good hotel. Pretty basic rooms but functional. Initial room given to me had wet carpets and noisy road room. Receptionist was happy to help with my request to switch room however.
s.
A muncher lower price of accommodation than other travelogues in the surrounding area. However after visiting twice we found the plumbing was not up to scratch, such as the shower being hot when you would set it to cold. Along with the flush on the toilet.
R. F.
Stayed here just twice now, but no complaints, very helpful staff, rooms always spotless & considering the hotels proximity to the A13 very little noise, great location & parking. All good
r. W.
Great place to stay. Near to o2,, excel, canary wharf clubs and bars, stratford shopping.. only problem is parking.. hotel is full of contractors . Working elsewhere on the site. Not at the travelodge.. so about a dozen spaces for a few hundred guests??? A big let down on that front.. rooms were good, staff helpful and a good nights sleep..
J. L.
Fine for a cheap stay, extra beds are very uncomfortable though, think something from a Florence Nightingale hospital. Kettle was also broken when arrived but was easily replaced. All in all fine for a cheap and cheerful stay but have been to better Travelodges.
M. R.
Good location for o2 arena, and Dock lands railway, good breakfast reasonably priced, and good happy hour in bar from 4 - 6 pm. Room was spacious and comfortable and very little outside noise.
P. G.
Good value, comfy beds. Food is reasonably priced for London and fills a hole. Stones throw from all the excitement of London town. Been here twice now and would come again.
R.
Arguably the best budget hotel I/we have stayed in.... The staff are a real credit.. the bed probably the best we've slept in too... Breakfast is abundant and decent....
E. G.
If you want walking distance to the o2 this is not the place to stay even tho it says its 0.7miles away that would be the case if the river wasnt there!! Cost us £45 in uber's. Not happy as I called to ask how far away they was walking distance
I. T.
Stayed here for a conference at the O2, it is a short tube journey away. Room size was good and they provided extra fans for us due to the hot weather

Overnight stay in the Travelodge twin room beds were very small even though the room large, not very comfortable for larger guests. Breakfast was served from 7 till 11am plenty of options from full English breakfast to cereal fruit yoghurt tea coffee juice all excellent
N. P.
Stayed here while I was at a work seminar and its basically your typical Travelodge. Staff are friendly and its right next to the DLR which is great for when you need to get to the city quickly. Overall great for a quick business stay or weekend getaway.

Great room, TV, Double Bed, Fan, Shower, Giant mirror. We were able to check in early and got the cheapest room. Would recommend to a friend 🤟🏼
K. C.
Was ok. Reasonably priced for central London. Clean and had what we needed. Staff ok.
L. G.
Normal Travelodge standard. Comfortable room, late opening bar and a late night food menu. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of options.
C.
Lovely little hotel, staff was lovely and friendly. Think staff was a bit overwelmed by the in flex of comic con guests. First night meal was late coming to me. Must of waited almost 45mins for it.
N. H.
Standard Travelodge fare. Rooms are basic but comfy. Location is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was disappointing and lobby a bit worn and tired.
C. M.
Very close to the DLR, rooms fairly spacious for price, bed pretty comfy. It's a Travelodge so you can't really expect the Earth. Initially given a small 2-person room when asked for 3-person but this was quickly resolved.
A. F.
Stopped here for the weekend with the Mrs, very close to the DLR and was perfect for commuting into London with the Tower Bridge being 10 mins away via train. Food was perfect and so was the room, we were on the main road side and never heard anything traffic unless you opened the window. We'll be know doubt back at some point.

As always a great stay. Breakfast is bountiful and the staff are always helpful and kind. Can't wait for our next event to stay again
K. M.
It's just so easy stopping here it's got friendly staff and great rooms.
The reason I didn't give five star's was because the breakfasts let it down, the food is cold most of the time unless you get it just when it's been cooked, and we had to wait for bits of food to come out to go with the breakfast and that made the rest of the stuff on our plate cold
A. D.
Question if you want to stay like a week in your hotel, do you have to change the bedsheet everyday or only the first day you arrived??
I have been that hotel over 10 times and I absolutely love it but one thing that annoys me is the cleaners because they don't change the bedsheets..
cheers to Abdul 😎😅

Really nice hotel, and for the money great!
Rooms have all you need, restaurant and breakfast downstairs and not too expensive. Car park £8 all day, and close to all the shops and transport liks.
If I am down doing business near this way again, would definitely stay here again
A. M.
We had a fantastic sleep during our stay, bed very comfortable and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend definitely X

Handily placed hotel for the O2 or London for business. Have used several times. Unfortunately the breakfast is usually cold and not worth the money.
It has seen better days and really needs to be refurbished soon.
The hotel has s business floor which is peaceful and away from the rest of the hotel.
There is a car park onsite.
Short walk to the East India DLR station, which is a few stops from Canary Wharf. Also very close go Bank Station for central London.
P.
Typical cheap hotel in London, cleanliness could be improved, basic menu that isn’t very good.. if you want Wi-fi then it’s extra!!! Usual UK rip off... nowhere else in Europe do you pay extra!!!
C. P.
A good place to stay in the east end of London. It has a large car park and reduced rates of £8 for 24 hours. Rooms are standard Travelodge rooms not over large but comfortable with very powerful shower. It's a 2 minutes walk to East India DLR but we walked to The London Stadium which is less than 2 miles. Westfield's shopping center is only a bit further. The bar area was very busy when we got back serving food and drink until the early hours.
R.
Room was well turned out and clean which is always a relief. Staff were friendly and helpful and the all you can eat breakfast was a great start to the day.
S. C.
I've never been let down by a Travelodge, this one was clean with plenty of parking and quiet enough. It is close to the DLR (East India).
Some reviews on here moan about the food, I never eat at these places, we opted to go a couple of stops on the DLR to Canary Ward and eat at Breakfast Club. There don't seem to be any shops like Tesco Express etc. to buy supplies, this would be my only moan.
C.
Not bad at all. Friendly staff and the room was what you'd expect from a Travelodge.
Menu was reasonable, food wasn't bad, although the allergies information was difficult to find and contradicted itself.
S. P.
We turned up without booking at 11.30 pm and got a room yippee 👍👌.long story short we got ripped off with an appartment at last minute. So travel lodge saved my weekend, being st patricks day and UFC thought I was lucky.good so far
S. L.
Great location and price. The staff we really friendly and helpful when checking in and providing directions. My only niggle would be the shower could do with some work as it kept on filling up and the bathroom smelt of smoke.
B. H.
Good Travelodge close to Docklands and Telehouse. Not many amenities nearby, but short walk to East India DLR. Rooms clean, if sightly cold and very thin duvets. Overall a good stop and would return again.
D. H.
It was just like a generic Travelodge. Friendly and helpful staff (especially during the Tube Strike). However the room we were situated in had a loud humming sound which we could not pinpoint. Breakfast was also good
K. P.
The staff was nice and polite however the breakfast wasnt as nice. The hashbrown seemed to be the left over from other breakfasts. Coffee tasted just like a plain wanter , and orange juice was also mixed with alot of water instead of normal juice.
T. S.
It's cheap. Be carefull, when you want to dine don't just sit on a table, I've done that and they kept me waiting for as long as 15 minutes. When I asked if they will not serve me they answered that I should have requested the service at the bar. The food tastes like microwave food, and I suspect it is.

We can down from different part of the UK to compete in th London triathlon 2017 at excel and stay in the Travelodge hotel in duckland it was one of the best Travelodge we used..dtagg friendly supported understanding and excellent in customers service thanks for a lovely services.we enjoyed the three days and two nights stay .we will be back next year's and had tell lot of friends about the wonderful service at this Travelodge. Breakfast was great with different varieties
Thanks again

The initial approach of the staff mates was good, they greated and welcomed me well. they were very nice and the atmosphere of hotel is very good. Pricewise it is okay but in cases of any happening seminars, it would get a bit expensive although they let us know in advance about that. I would definately visit again and recommend it to anyone
K.
Friendly staff and easy location to access. My room didn't have air con however. Not sure if any of the rooms here do but they supplied a fan at least!
G. W.
It's alright, I've stayed in better I've stayed in worse.
M. D.
Went there back in May the staff was awesome I have crohns disease and my rooms toilet was blocked and they couldn't fix it so they gave me an extra room to use just for the toilet.
The food was generous and nice.
J. W.
Very friendly staff. Guy on counter 'Ahmed was very helpful and shows the professionalism and commitment to his duty by showing great skills of communication and knowledge of place.
J. C.
Good rooms, comfy bed but not pillows! Breakfast great with lots of choice. Some staff a little rude but most very polite and helpful.
D. C.
Clean and very comfortable WiFi is a bit expensive but the staff are very happy and their if you need them. Can be a problem to find if you drive as they sit in the middle of a one way system. But all in all please for the price I got it at
C. D.
Lovely hotel near to the o2
P. R.
Considering in central london was quiet enough, nice room but parking a bit steep
B. N.
This is our usual spot for when me and my partner visit comic con at the excel every year. And it's a solid little secret gem for any event at the excel. - Its a short trip to the excel (only a couple of stop on the DLR). So we don't mind traveling in our cosplay outfits. - Pretty good breakfast. I'm a big eater so an all you can eat breakfast is amazing. I can't tell you what the other food is like however as I always get anchecky deliveroo to the hotel. - SUPER CHEAP! So after many hours of comparing sites this hotel is the cheapest within the closest range to the excel. Me and my partner stayed for 4 nights for under £300. It's amazing to keep the costs down for comic con
P. P.
The hotel was nice and clean bed sheets were changed as well as the towels. Front desk was friendly and helpful and breakfast was as expected good
E.
Everything you'd expect from an economic hotel.
Cozy but parking costs a bomb and WiFi isn't free.
C. T.
Food was good room was ok, when I was there there was a high-pitched noise for most of the night I did tell reception but nothing happened.
There is a lot of traffic noise also.
S. S.
Stayed here for a gig at the o2 Arena. Wouldnt stay here for any other reason. Rooms are basic, had to go to reception to ask for a hairdryer.. the train into london is only a 5/10 walk away during the day. However at night time it took 2 busses, a train and 3 hours to get here from Gatwick
M. G.
Perfectly places for BEST Hyde park, out of the centre and perfect for jumping on the trains into centre. Would be 5 stars but rooms get extremely hot and you do get a room fan but air con would be a great investment for this building
D.
Very nice travelodge, would be five star, but its quite worn out in the hallways and roons I have stayed in
H. K.
Only let down by not having aircon.usually nice and basic rooms. Shame due to covid we couldnt enjoy their breakfast
L. G.
Sometimes cheap at 50 quid, sometimes a rip-off at 150 a night. Staff are mostly kind and helpful, with the occasional problem. Some rooms are decent basic accommodation, some smell of damp. Sometimes quiet, sometimes crowded with drunks.
T. I.
Very close to the DLR which is very helpful. The hotel itself is fine. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing to write home about. Does have a bit of a weird smell. Staff are all very friendly.
V. C.
We stayed 2 nights, the first night was really noisy, we reported this to reception and were given a new room no problem. It is very basic and a bit tatty but clean, warm and the staff are great.
G. S.
Location was great, a short trip via DLR to the Excel centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, little atmosphere in lounge area and musty smell in rooms.
E. N.
Very tired rooms. Lamp shades and furniture falling apart. Difficult to get in and out of shower without slipping.
Very very comfortable beds though.
A. H.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. The location is close to the DLR and the London O2. There is a car park right outside so parking is easy. I would come back again.
