G. S.A nice clean hotel with good room sizes. Clean throughout and in a good location on the high street. Rooms on the 6th floor, which is also where reception is, have a very nice view. Overall, I thought the hotel was great value for money and I would definitely stay here again in the future.
The only downside was the parking which is very limited, (no more than 30 spaces) and was full on arrival. Parking can be found in near by streets for free on the weekend or at the train station for a reasonable price.

L. M.I love Travelodge. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious enough, you can literally cook in the kitchen and put your foodstuffs there as well. I like how it felt like home and I was very relaxed. I definitely enjoyed my stay at Travelodge London, Finchley and I will be sure to visit again soon.
R. M.Standard Travelodge fare with plenty of good eateries nearby if you like worldly foods. Good pub below with a range of ales and the Tube just around the corner. Security looks lose with a card access system as reception on higher floors than some rooms. Also, people hanging around in the car park below.

Only downside was our room 430 the extractor fan in the bathroom did not work and the heating/air con unit was difficult to use. P. G.Really convenient for the North circular. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Beds were comfy and there's a compact but very clean bathroom with good shower. There's limited free parking on site which we arrived too late to take advantage of, but we were able to park close by on a side road a short distance from the hotel entrance. Nice pub under the hotel and Sainsbury's local a couple of doors down. Good value and a short walk from tube station on the northern line, if you wanted to venture into the west end but don't want to pay central London hotel prices.
M.The travel lodge facilities where mostly good however the air conditioner kept coming up with error codes whenever I tried to turn it on, the same thing happened at my last stay. Otherwise the area is good except for the fact that it can get quite noisy at night due to the trains, busy streets and sometimes planes, lots of restaurants, shops and a train station near by. The breakfast is as good as you’d expect a Travelodge breakfast to be.

エ.Great value for a basic room well located near public transport, shops and restaurants that's just reopened after 3-4 months of pandemic lockdown. Parking onsite and great views. There is only a kettle and 2 mugs and 2 teaspoons and Hair/body soap in the room but everything else that might be needed can be purchased nearby. There is a mini supermarket and pub on the ground floor that are open late as the hotel is currently not serving food/drinks. Lovely staff!

Stayed here again this year - breakfast is basic but decent with eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, and tomatoes, machine coffee/juice and tea along with toast/cereals, yogurts, & fruit. At dinner time there is a pizza bar offered however I didn't get a chance to sample that.
H.This Travelodge has both good and bad qualities, but I would recommend staying here simply because it is the cheapest option you’re going to find for a private room as near to Central London as this.
The location
The hotel was right off Finchley Central high street, a 3 minute walk to Finchley Central Station, a 5 minute walk to a huge Tesco and with lots of restaurants in the area (a lot of Turkish and Persian places but also saw a number of East Asian, Caribbean, Indian, coffee places). The room was not noisy during day or night, from traffic or other city noise.
The reception
Checked in quickly, checked out even quicker (just handed in card). They have refills of tea and coffee sachets you can take from reception, and a water cooler at the breakfast bar that staff let us fill our water bottles up with. Staff were friendly, not much else to say with the limited interaction we had.
The room
The bedroom was very large, had numerous plug sockets, lights could be controlled from the bed and they had wide window sills (useful as there weren’t any other draws or surfaces except for the desk to put any belongings on). The air-con was great, albeit noisy, its not something you’ll often find in UK hotels!
The bathroom wasn’t great. It was a wet room and the drain in our room wasn’t draining well, so there was constantly a puddle in the middle of the bathroom. We let reception know but they weren’t able to do anything about it for the rest of our stay (only one more night). The room smelt slightly like poo or stale water (it was difficult to pin point the smell) when you first entered the room, maybe because of the broken drain? I believe our bathroom was wheelchair friendly, which is great for those who need it, but for us it meant the sink was very low and the toilet pretty high. There was a shower seat too, though that didn’t get in the way. The all in one shampoo, conditioner and body wash was terrible and drying - as they usually are. The hand wash also not a pleasant feel or scent. Lesson learnt… always take your own shampoo to a budget hotel!

There is parking! Its limited but there were a number of spaces free when we stayed.
Key card was very responsive, took less than a second to open the doors.

The carpets were a bit grimey in places, and we saw some unknown liquid splashed on one of our walls, but I think it was generally a clean room.
No wifi … or free wifi for 30 minutes, which isn’t super helpful.

There were some cleanliness issues during our stay (hair still in the shower walls and some kind of greasy mud all over the soap dispenser...?) which was concerning, especially during a pandemic. This is not a hotel with many amenities either, but for the price, it is hard to complain.

Clean. Basic. Helpful, friendly staff. All night menu/drinks. As much free tea and coffee as you want in the room. (Stock up from reception) Kettle, TV, shower, toilet, sink in each room. Quietest rooms are at the back.
Front rooms overlook the main road, but they are not too bad. Don't get a room near reception/lifts, as the door to the corridor makes a noise every time someone uses it. 5 minutes from Finchley Central tube.

For all that though it was impeccably clean and all staff were polite and helpful. People doing their jobs very well. Hopefully the shampoo budget stretches better next month.

Just a 2 minute walk to the tube station into central London. Second time we've stayed now & will definitely use again.
B. C.Good location, really close to Finchley tube station and plenty of bus routes. The room was clean and simple, very comfortable and fairly quiet considering the busy roads outside. Found the shower a bit annoying, fighting with a shower curtain that blows inwards, no ventilation so the whole room was steaming and soaked and no bath matt provided to make it less slippy! Breakfast was nice, although the restaurant area is small so pick your time wisely. One of the tables was taken up by someone having a Travelodge job interview. Staff weren't the most welcoming, nobody came to the desk for ages when I checked in, and the first person who came out didn't have the authority to do it! Not amazing service in the morning either, felt like they just wanted rid of guests. I've given 4 stars because I did have an overall good stay, and I would stay again, just not the most welcoming environment.
C. H.Everything that you'd expect from this hotel. Of course you're not going to come here for a boutique weekend, but it's great for business travel. Room larger than expected and there is an in-house restaurant serving through the night which is useful if you travel late. Good rates for London too.

For some reason the Travelodge website does not give the option for this site (Finchley) of whether you want a Disabled room or not , so it was with a fair bit of trepidation that I made the last minute booking.
Also, the Travelodge website was having issues, and crashed everytime it got to the credit card security bit (so I ended up with 3 pending authorisations on credit cards until I finally managed to book with a 4th).
The BIG downside for disabled travellers - they only have two disabled parking spaces (that I could find) - and of course, both had builders vans parked in them (and then the next day, one of these spaces actually had a Travelodge van parked in it, which made me even more angry...and I have the photos to prove it!).
(The Traveloge website says that there is an NCP car park nearby, but for a disabled person like me, it might as well be on the moon, let alone trying to carry an overnight bag)
It's a standard Travelodge, so you know what to expect.
Unfortunately, due to Covid the restaurant was shut, so I couldn't have a Travelodge breakfast (which I love).
So, why on earth 4 stars?
The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Michael who definitely went the extra mile by:
1) finding me a room that had a disabled shower with a seat
2) helping me find a car parking space
3) helping me with my bags (because I was really struggling at this point, he could see this, and at 2am he and his colleague probably weren't rushed off their feet...), and.... unlike someone at a five star hotel he wouldn't accept a gratuity (so I put some money in the Poppy Appeal & MS Research charity boxes instead),

D. A.Basic hotel in good location with clean rooms. Close to local amenities (shops, restaurants etc) but not loud due to traffic or general busyness. Free parking and 30 minutes of (alright) wifi. Comfy beds considering the single was like a camping bed! Small bathroom which feels like you are in an aeroplane which is the only real issue. Good for those staying for one night and wanting to be close to the centre.
T. L.The hotel room is very clean! Not to mention the bed, comfy and gets you to sleep quickly.Near Finchley Central Station and buses near hotel. Eating places nearby mostly start at 12noon, that is the only issue I have living there. Will revisit.

L. M.Our room was quiet, comfortable and clean. We were not able to find a space in the onsite car park, so we parked in Finchley Central Station car park which is only £2.50 for 24 hours and only a short walk away. We shall return!

I. V.What a pleasant surprise for a budget hotel. We dealt a lot with Osanna and she was so pleasant and helpful. We are vegetarians and the hot breakfast was of the best we have encountered at a hotel buffet.

I arranged a coach booking for 40 people and the Travelodge staff were very friendly and professional.
The hotel is across the road from Finchley Centre Tube station. Taking approx 20 mins to get into centre London. In the vicinity there is also good food.
Would definitely use the hotel again. 5 stars!

R. G.Nice hotel. The x-factor is the location. About 2 mins walk from the Finchley central Tube station. It takes around 20 mins to the city center from the tube station. Surrounded by good restaurants and pubs. The staff were courteous and chilled out. They agreed to store our stuff as we arrived early. The rooms are spacious with a good view. There is also a standard bar and breakfast facilities. All in all good stay without a considerable pinch in the pocket.

B. R.This is a modern Travelodge with plug sockets on both sides on the bed. There is free parking available, which is a bonus. We had a comfortable night, but there was some noise from upstairs and outside. There's a restaurant in the hotel, and we had pizza at 4am, which was great.
A. M.Location was excellent, just 5 mins from junction 2 of the m1 with a tube station literally across the road. There are loads of restaurants/takeaways on the street as well as a tesco extra, in case you forgot something. The room we had was a family room with a beautifully comfortable king-size bed and two single beds for the kids. Usual facilities, tea and coffee free view channels and air con. Shower was nice and powerful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is free, so long as you get there in time to get a space, otherwise there's an ncp carpark about 5 mins away. This will be out new base for visiting family and going into the capital.

Glad we found this little gem as needed to book somewhere at short notice .Learned it has just opened and bet the word will get around quick it is well worth booking .
Have stayed In Travel Lodges before re work related meetings etc and found them basic but ,reasonable value however generally quite dated.
This new venue is within easy reach from tube , rooms ,facilities in pristine condition and great to get rid of old style wooden wardrobes and cabinets -leaving rooms functional and spacious , with immaculate bathroom . Excellent Breakfast , Excellent service throughout from all staff friendly and attentive .

T. K.We had two nights stay over there, and it could be better but unfortunatelly wasnt.
On the good side, double room was clean and tidy. There was extra single bed along with double one, ready for use, even if we did not ask for one.
There is a kettle with tea/coffee selection in the room as well, and standard tv with free view channels.
On demand you can ask for slippers, bathrobes and iron, if any if those are needed.
You can get free coffee on top level, where the reception is and restaurant/bar.
You can get parking permit at the reception, but number of spaces are limited, and even if we were able always to find one to park our car at, parking was always almost full.
I think the downside was the fact that it can attract people who are into making noise and party overnight. Two nights in a row there was a strong smell of tobacco and cannabis in the corridor.
Other than that it seems like it is okay place to stay, and for the momey you pay you would get what you would normally expect from such stay.
We would stay there again, but again, only as a last resort option.
M. S.This hotel could have gotten a five star rate if only it gave its guests free wifi. I paid for wifi and it turned out to be for only two people/devices. How can that be in this day and age. It is so oldfashioned. Wifi should be limitless for its guests.

The only one down side was I paid for the late check out. When I checked in I double confirmed, the reception assured me it was all OK. Yet on the next morning my room key had been deactivated. I couldn't get back to my room. With my handful of coffee was slightly inconvenience to go back to the reception to reactivate my key. We were given two keys however throughout only one key was activate.

A. G.Great, modern, clean hotel but there was quite a bit of traffic noise present during the evening as it is next to a busy road, limited parking but free you just need to ask at reception for a ticket to put on your dashboard. I would also recommend Society Chicken just underneath the hotel!
U. M.It is a clean and recently renovated hotel. The room is large and the bathroom has new fixtures. It is conveniently located -- a couple of minutes walk from Finchley Central and there are a few pubs and eateries within a 5 minute walk.
The only drawback was the wifi. Frequently it would try to "renew" the connection to no avail. I had to turn off the wifi and turn it on again.

Reception, bar and breakfast area located on 6th floor. Hotel clean and well maintained. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was well maintained, clean and spacious. All basics in room, kettle, clothes hangers, shower gel, hand soap, towels, etc.
Though I didn't eat out in local area there are places to eat and drink around the hotel. Also a Sainsbury's close by which opens until 11 and a cash machine.
Ideal for a short stay in London at a reasonable price.
Only downside is it is in tfl zone 4 so about 20 mins into central London on the Northern Line. A plus point though is that the Northern Line operates a night tube service at weekends.
Μ. Γ.The place was clean!! But they were too many things that make me feel uncomfortable!!like the seats was ripped!! Foam hand wash on the shower?? ... The view from the window??? !!! staff was okay.

E.This is a newly built hotel and it was very nice. The room was massive. Could use a hair dryer in all rooms though. I will be using this hotel as my first choice for my trips to London.
