Excellent example of a Travelodge. The receptionist was friendly and the room was clean. I notice that they've clearly had new carpets fitted recently, so none of the issues with dirty carpets mentioned by other reviewers. Comfy beds - can't fault it really!
I. C.
Room was clean, bed comfy and shower perfect. Website does state that USB sockets are positioned by the bed for phone recharging. Our party had 3 rooms, none of the rooms had available USB sockets. So remember to take your own charger! Staff were very helpful and pleasant. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Absolutely wonderful staff!!
Two fabulous ladies on the front desk!
After such a nightmare with the previous Hotel I had after a 5hr journey from Devon.
Travelodge London Hackney striked again! And with no dramas at all, more then delivered the best help ever!
With a wonderful over night stay!
Safe to say it was a shame to leave!
100% recommend to anybody!

Stopped one night, room clean. Surprisingly quiet considering its on the main road. I guess this would not be the case in hot weather as there is no air conditioning, so would need to open the windows. No proper breakfast offering, but plenty of cafés nearby.

Stayed as at a gig at the Hackney Empire on a Sunday night and saved travelling home late. Great location just a few minutes from the Empire. Small room but perfectly functional. Room very hot so had window open traffic sounds were very loud and went on throughout the night. That said closing the window blocked most of the noise so just an observation not a complaint.
B. K.
Stay was fine, what you would expect really however the shower had a spotlight just dangling and the soap dispenser is grim. Wouldn't of even noticed if it didn't fall apart when using it.
J. P.
I used this as a crash pad after a Christmas party. Room tidy, bed was clean. Cheap rate saved time and money 👍🏻
N. K.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Travelodge Hackney. I had some issues in the beginning, but the manager made it right for me everytime. Rooms are standard and beds are comfortable. Teresa, in housekeeping team is so lovely, friendly and professional. Will stay here again.
L. W.
Spur of the moment stay..had trouble booking online but the lovely ladies on reception helped..Good nights sleep 🙂
E.
Cheap and cheerful for a night in. But the hall ways need a refurbishment.
A. R.
Absolutely lovely stay and so comfortable staff was very helpful
J. W.
Check-in took a while, but the reception staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and there were no noise issues. Given that the room was under £20, certainly no cause for complain, and a better stay that I had expected. Would stay here again.
K. W.
Had a room on the 3rd floor. It was quiet and clean despite not being far from the overground. The carpet could have done with a deep clean and the shower curtain wasn't long enough for the cubical, so the floor got quite wet.
E. M.
Dom welcoming and helpful on arrival.
Room spotless. Controllable heating. Tea and Coffee facilities. Shower and hot water available at all times.
Clean and comfy bed.
For a budget hotel you know what you are getting. Good prices help us to see our Children more often as we are pensioners living 250 miles away.
Had 4 stays already and booked 3 nights again next week.

I use this to stay when visiting family. It's sandwiched between an elevated section of the Overground at Hackney Central and a busy Hackney main road. Like other London Travelodges I find a lot of young people coming in and out but the hotel is very well security guarded, COVID secure and very clean. Room comfortable tho' I always have to try and manage the heater as room a bit cold and duvet a bit thin.
R. G.
Ok you get what it says on the tin ideal for what we wanted good night's sleep no problems handy for transport

Stayed for 2 nights. Receptionists are really nice. Shower had issues, seats are not cleaned I wiped them myself. They provide you kettle and some complimentary tea bags, instant coffee. Tv is very useful, almost have most channels so I was entertained. Carpets are not very clean. Bed had long woman hairs. Other than that, it is doable but not more than 2 nights.
n. p.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Bag drop is available.
Room was a bit substandard in cleanliness, splatters on the walls that probably need a soapy sponge over them.
No hairdryer or small towels, large bath towels provided.
Shower was good. Location is just up from Hackney Central.
a. a.
The room was clean, tidy . Yet there are some points:the kettle was not in the room you need to ask for it. No shower gel or hand wash. The reception were not really friendly, they did not bother themselves to get off the chairs from the inside room. Over all the location great, all what you need is close to you.

Clean, Comfortable and Quiet
This is a very new hotel, only the family rooms have bath, the rest are shower only. There is no Travelodge breakfast buffet here, just a boxy out can order - its a rip off. The staff are ok, they told me on the desk that they would look for the spare pillow I asked for on my earlier arrival and to my room to tell me if they could find it. They never did show up and nor did my pillow. The rooms are nice and very clean, the bed is really comfortable and there are lots of wall sockets
b. b.
Clean room, cheap, friendly staff. double bed, shower with shower gel dispenser. Can't complain. 5 stars
Booked it for a work trip so didn't have to pay but was a fraction of the price anywhere else in London
R. M.
The room was as expected although incredibly warm and not the most modern but the checking in staff and manager were amazing! A real credit to the company. They made us feel welcome and was especially kind to my little girl. There was also some real "hidden gems" in Hackney that took us by surprise and the location next to the overground was perfect for getting out and about.
T. H.
Such a welcoming response when we arrived, the receptionists were very eager to attend to our needs. I didn't have the best nights sleep so requested an alternative pillow. My needs were met promptly. The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay and close to the train station to enable us to sight see and assist out travel needs home also. The hotel is also central to restraunts and shopping facilties.
p.
Not a bad Travelodge. Stayed for one night. Access to the hotel is via a strange ground floor entrance (buzzer entry) with the reception accessible on the 1st floor. Staff very friendly. Room was smaller than the usual Travelodge rooms that we are used to but very clean in the main. One thing we did notice is that there is NO air conditioning. No issue for us being January and cold out but I imagine unbearable in the summer with only a small window for ventilation (very noisy road outside!). There is a heater for colder months though. The area outside is typical of London. So much so they have to have security on the main door at night. Not experienced that at a Travelodge before. Very friendly and helpful security staff though. No bar at this hotel (again a first for me) and no restaurant area. They have breakfast boxes but I would recommend a 2 min walk over the road to McDonalds on Mare street from breakfast. There is also Costa coffee directly below the hotel. All said and done, a fairly pleasant stay with the train station (Hackney central) directly next door and on the bus route in to central London.
P. J.
Good value for money. Could have been small wardrobe inside the room as there was just 5 hangers for clothes.
D. A. V.
I wrote a bad review about this hotel some time ago but on my second stay they obviously took on board my negative comment and this time they really deserve five start rating! They were superb! The hotel itself feels higher standards than the average Travelodge and the location could not be better, just less than one minute walk to the Overground.
S. D.
I bet Travel Lodge doesn’t guarantee you a good nights sleep.
Rooms are okay very basic, beds are awful my back isn’t right this morning. Both party’s were up at 4am for different reasons.
The hotels location is right next to Hackney Central, loads of buses everywhere and Hackney station is next to the front door.
So location wise it’s fantastic. Wetherspoons around the corner which is about the only decent sit down place to eat within walking distance. Another nice pub opposite way on the corner.
Bath outlet is blocked and takes forever to drain after a shower. Net curtains “really” .
Staff were very nice both morning and night and very helpful.
R. K.
Nice and tidy rooms, standard Travelodge facilities. Not a lot parking space behind the building - 24h cost £8,40 (if you pay with app) or £9,60 cash. Few shops, bars and restaurants just around the corner. Coffee shop few steps from the hotel. Fantastic location, buses and railway station.
S.
3 star hotel with 5 star service. Staff were great and very friendly. everything was easily accessible too.
B. R.
The hotel was well located by Hackney overground station. The room was quiet and clean, with power sockets by the bed, which is great for charging mobiles! I liked the shower too, as it was possible to lift the head off and move it around, which makes washing easier.
J. L.
Noisy with the window open, too hot with the window closed...! Room was a standard Travelodge room, comfortable bed, with prefab bathroom. Bathroom was not cleaned well, and various hairs were in the shower/on the shower curtain. One of two light fittings in bathroom was loose and had fallen from ceiling. Bedroom carpet had what appeared to be chocolate rubbed into it. Bed had one long hair and one short hair on surface when I arrived.
On the plus side, while there was no A/C there were two fans in the room, plenty of coffee/tea etc.
S. H.
Nice room. Nice staff. Comfy bed. Excellent nights sleep.
A. C.
We stayed at the Travelodge Hackney Central for easy access to the World parathletics at the Olympic stadium. The main selling point of the hotel is that it is really well connected via the Overground. As for the stay itself, the hotel doesn't have any facilities aside from the rooms, but these are functional and clean, though lacking air conditioning. Given that we only needed a place to sleep, £49 for a family room so close to central London was really good value. So providing you're not expecting the Ritz and it's not the middle of a heat wave, the hotel is more than adequate.
m. l.
Cheap, central, as in 20 mins from Zone 1/ King's X etc. Rooms slightly overused with stains on walls, bathrooms not quite up to scratch. However, the staff when my friends checked in was delightful and knowledgeable. Can be hot inside as windows don't open fully but hey for the price what can you expect. Buy your own breakfast locally, lots of choices and Hackney Central overground literally on the doorstep. #shoplocal
D. H.
Great location, very clean and has everything you need. Staff are great
D. P.
Excellent. Osman and his staff looked after us. Comfortable room. Loads of restaurants near by. Would definitely recommend this Travelodge, by far the best for staff we have stayed in.
B. W.
Lovely clean and fairly comfortable room for our family of four. Would have been 5 stars if there had been air conditioning. It was extremely hot.
S. P.
Hackney travelodge is very close to train station. Rooms are good and there are quite a few options to eat. This travelodge do not serve cooked breakfast and they have strict check in policy at 3 pm. Other than check-in process & unavailability of cooked breakfast, everything was good
J. A.
Umar and his team will ensure a great stay! Top drawer service and so helpful! Book before its too late!
D. K.
Basic hotel at inexpensive (for London anyway) price. BUT no hairdryer or iron in room so not ideal for business travellers, plus on a busy main road where window double-glazing works well but there is no room AC so in summer, very hot room and only a small noisy fan to cool you down.
M. M.
WiFi free for only 30 mins. No fridge. Shower drained slowly (no shower bath combo) pillows weren't as comfortable as I'd like. To expensive for what you get, but it's London so it's to be expected. It was okay.
S. S.
It's ok here but be warned its 5 pound an hour until 11pm then 150 an hour from 11pm till 6 then back to 5 an hour put extra 40 on bill not pleased or is it me that doesnt get it I hope not premier inn better and alot cheaper wouldn't stay again
G. M.
As far a a budget hotel goes Travelodge certainly made the effort, with delightful staff and a nice enough room in a prime Hackney location it certainly made our London visit pleasant.
D. M.
Very lovely lady on reception booked us in. Basic but very clean and comfortable room. Would stay again due to the above and a very reasonable price. Happy customers
M. H.
Very friendly staff it was my partners 50th on our return after a day sightseeing they had placed a bottle of wine balloons and a card in our room totally unexpected and well thoughtful. Situated right next to hackney station so ideal for getting into the city. We will be back. Many thanks :O)
T.
Clean and functional facilities, if very simple. Rooms get a rather stuffy in the summer and windows open up to the din of the big city, but electral fans are provided.
S. R.
Average place. But staff are all lovely and very attentive.
D. I.
Is what it is cheap room, on bus routes is a bonus. Sound insulation needs sorted. Otherwise clean warm and a good bed. Staff really helpful
n. c.
What more can you say than it is really accessible for London. Some great places to eat nearby and the Train pulls up next door. There is parking behind which at the time we went it cost £7:20 for 24 hours or £1:20 per hour. The travelodge is like any other of the NEW Travelodges with good beds and nice bathrooms. Lift to all floors.
D. M.
Just waiting while a friend checked in. Staff are all super friendly. I overheard the lady at the desk advising a family where the museum of childhood is. Seemed like they really cared.
Also, is right beside the overground station. Pretty convenient.
A.
Friendly and professional staff who helped find another room when they were fully booked. It's a new hotel, clean and literally just outside Hackney Central Station so you're about 20 - 30 mins from central London. Hackney Central itself offers a number of bars to go for a drink and is only 15-20 mins from Shoreditch.
K. S.
We had a family room which was basic but clean and comfortable. The lady on reception could not have been more helpful. Thank you
D. B. (.
The one off the best hotel what is friendly with LGBT community
R.
Good size room, quick check in (no fuss), good shower, comfy bed, although the pillows a little hard. Road can be quite noisy outside.
S. D.
Great staff were brilliant
J. B.
Stayed for business trip in Hackney. Hotel indoor facilities good, but no restaurant for breakfast. Costa round the corner though, so problem solved. Train station very close by, but hotel is quiet.
C. T.
Great location, quiet but handy for amenities and very close to the station (though you wouldn't know it from the noise levels), very comfortable room and friendly staff. Would recommend highly.
L. W.
Was a lovely stay room was 100% clean and care was taken while I stayed there, would stay there again.
I. H.
Good location for the event we had to attend and the usual Travelodge standards - but the shared entrance way smelt rancid when we visited.
Excellent staff at check-in and overnight.
S. T.
Excellently situated for sight seeing London.
Overground literally next door & you're in the centre of London in 22 minutes.
Some nice bars & eating places nearby.
Plenty of supermarkets within a few minutes walk.
C. R.
Reasonable prices. Clean room. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Only real negative was the loud noise from the fan in the bathroom.
j. d. d. m. s.
It's nice, but some staff people are very friendly, while some are not. It depends on your luck to check in in the right moment, with the right people. There's one guy (I think his name is Dom ) that really help me
a. b.
Very central place, very close to bus and train station. Lots of shops and restaurants/cafes within walking distance. Plain and simple, pretty much what you'd expect for the price you pay.
r. c.
Normal travelodge, was greeted by one of the most friendly staff I’ve ever meet, great people skill. Location is close to the station and a busy road and the parking is very limited around there.
D. A.
Not too bad but,the one next to it is way way better ! ! !
M. C.
Good clean hotel in an excellent location. Very convenient for Hackney, shoreditch etc. Literally next to the overground and good 24 hour bus routes. Will be back...
B. B.
Central location and very nice staff but pull out bed was very uncomfortable and room needs to improve hygiene. Too much obvious dirt.
J. B.
Cheap and cheerful, staff were very good
S. C.
Great family room, ask for 605 if you want the biggest one in the hotel! Comfy bed and the good night was only spoilt by a couple of arguing Italians next door!
C. F.
Great location next to overground to get in to London and to go other places, rooms are good and clean. Always friendly and helpful staff at reception.
A. M.
You get what you pay for. Clean and tidy, comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities, easy check in and out. Not gonna recommend the breakfast, it looked basic, and unfulfilling.
P. B.
Hotel rooms face onto busy road. Shower plug didn't drain properly, but a good price for travel lodge comfort very close to London
D.
Great place with Great people
Shops for food clothes kinda everything you NEED even a post office
Also OK beds and they freely keep your stuff
Only 2 bad things no universal adaptator and breakfast is really bad
P.
Really easy and great customer service from Roshann !! Nice to have a personable experience and a legend behind the counter.
K. M.
Good, if functional - it is a Travelodge in good-to-access location and perfect of you just want a night's sleep. Right outside Hackney Central station and a few shops and take-aways newrby
S. A.
Front Office team and cleaning team were amazing, thanks for service
L. A. “. R. L. R.

Clean, comfortable, good value. Not perhaps the quietest of places, but what can you expect from mid Hackney. Will certainly return.
P. B.

Adequate for a short stay
d. h.
People and service were professional and very helpful pity there were work going on without being notified before hand though RIGHT OYTSIDE MY DOOR
And entering was a bit of guess as it's all locked up until you buzz to be let in ...
D. B.
Clean and convenient and staff friendly. Parking availability sucks though throughout Hackney. We parked at the stratford international car park in the end.
A. W.
Room very good. Don't have the breakfast box (waste of money) - go to Costa next door
R. E.
Small room for the price. Breakfast boxes are basic. Decent location though.
D. C.
Squeeky clean rooms with good beds. Friendly staff. Easy access to 55 bus in to the city.
G. T.

B. A.
Pretty basic but great location right next to overland. Very clean. Helpful staff
C. L.

Hotel is nice, staff is rude. Never happened that in an English Hotel, I had to discuss with the receptionist to get towels.
P. S.
Pretty good visit. Basic and no frills, but well priced for a decent location in London.
J.
Ok for a travel lodge, no bar / restaurant, and the mattress had a label "this side up Oct,Nov,Dec" I stayed in June.... stayed in nicer ones

Clean room, comfortable bedding, air conditioning, tv, bathroom with shower, calm and silent as long as you close the window because the street is alive at all hours
Friendly staff.

Possibility of a take-out breakfast at the hotel for £ 5.75 (€ 6.53)
Trade and bar nearby with transport
Hotel Wi-Fi: 30 min free then £ 3 (€ 3.41) for 24 hours
