Reviews of Travelodge London Woolwich

It was nice and good breakfast. Cheap car park Kimberley the assistant manager was so caring and friendly, was quick to address our complaint in a very respectful manner and not being defensive. She was very polite, good listener and promised to address the issue we complained about then offered is a voucher.

The staff at this travelodge are to be highly recommended. They were polite, courteous and very kind. They all contributed to making my stay a very comfortable and memorable one. I thank all of you who helped make my stay such a positive experience. Thank you ❤

It was just okay. I could only stay a night there and went somewhere else, it needs a revamp, redecorating, and renovation, change of rugs in the rooms, and shower should probably have a glass cover to prevent water falling on floor, tried getting out early in the morning to get to work and doors were locked shut by the security

Hotel itself looks okay, was clean and pretty quiet. Restaurant was quite loud. Breakfast lovely warm and fresh.
Evening meal... I wouldn't recommend it , chips looks like made in cold oil, mushy an falling apart, burger really dry felt like eating cardboard.
D. J.
Room was clean, smelled nice. Only headache is the parking the next morning. I ended up just leaving at 9am before needing to put a new ticket. No hassle checking in or out.
A. M.
The room was quiet and mostly comfortable ( the bed didn't suit me, but I can't put my finger on why ). Location was good with a large car park behind the hotel.
C. D.
I think that every single person on the reception is amazing most kindest easy to talk to people I have ever met. I think this hotel is better than any premier inn or any other hotel in this location by far, with the best team working here. Can’t wait for my next visit.
S. W.
The rooms could do with modernisation.
Staff uniform could be sloppy missing buttons.
C. D.
Everybody at front desk is amazing the sweetest kindest people. So friendly and open too. I think travelodge as a company are luck to have these people, they are a major asset to the the company.
A. A.
Nice place for short break. Good and affordable accommodation. Will definitely use it again.
S. G.
Depending on your room, you'll either be in relative comfort, or what can only be described as a prison cell
S. W.
Beautiful stay. Beautiful bed. Just a bit annoying when the cleaners choose to gather outside your room to natter quite loudly first thing in the morning. But beautiful stay besides that.
R. H.
Very good comfortable Hotel in The Town Centre
C.
Stayed here several time. There is always this lovely and friendly lady everytime I check in. Family room are good size , clean and superb. There are loads of restaurants/ shops/ fast foods and stores near by including a car park. Great location. Will be staying here again. Would definitely recommend.

The Staff are the best people you could ask for accommodating to everything a person could ask you for. Love coming here. The best hotel in this location. I adore travelogue woolwich.
S. D.
Best place I could ask for the room is always spotless and the staff are amazing. I love coming here. Couldn’t ask for better.
M. K.
Location is good. Not very clear on maps though. As we drove pass the parking a few times. Not clearly posted. Room are a decent size. However we stayed in a double room and charged the same as a family room. We checked in late. However, there wasn't much of an option to get food or snacks later on. Staff were really good and friendly.
M. P.
Travelodge is not known for its opulent, rich accomodations. We know this. We were right. The room was very basic but adequate. It had a water cooker, chair, bed and small shower. It was clean and it was cheap. We did not expect or require more. I must say, though, that the staff was very friendly and attentive. I felt like a welcome guest.
I did not like the surroundings of the hotel - I prefer lots of nature to live in - but this too I knew beforehand. If you stay here, try the Fusion and Viet Baguette restaurants near here - I wrote a review on those too. They're reliable, good, healthy options.
T. L.
Nice comfortable beds. Rooms I have stayed in lack air conditioning however fans are provided. Food is of good quality and there is an out of hours menu available if you require food during the night. I would recommend a pizza or burger.
L. V.
Tidy little room. Comfortable bed. Decent bathroom suite. 3 stars because the TV was tiny and the remote faulty. WiFi isn't free. For the price it was ok and I would stay again.
V. R.
The rooms are fantastic. Located in a very good place which has good connectivity with tubes, rails and buses. A walk down the street would give you access to the DLR. The shops around are also really good. Overall a really nice pace to be in.
m. g.
Excellent clean and accept dogs who loved it
R. S.
Clean and modern hotel situated close to the river. Friendly staff and good facilities. Views out the window aren't anything to shout about, but everything else about the stay was very pleasant. Free overnight parking, but need to pay and display during the day. Would stay there again.
P. C.
Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Clean tidy and comfortable accommodation. Good food at reasonable prices. Definitely one of the better places I have stayed in for a work related journey. Staff were fantastic.
M. S.
We actually had a great time. The staff was really helpfull and kind especially Lisa Ring who helped me a lot. The room was excellent and worthed the price. We prefered not to have breakfast because it was expensive for our standards. The hotel is far away from the centre and I found it very difficult going there. Overall, it was a great experience but the location is bad for someone who wants to go to the center.
r. w.
Nice place for the money budget hotel next to the river. Everything you need altho could do with bringing the decor and f/f up to date very 1980s
H. D.
Had a lovely, spacious and fresh smelling double room. Condition was superb and staff members were great and helpful. Everything was done to great detail, love their breakfast, great selection. Comfortable double bed with clean and fragranced bedding.

WELCOMING STAFF.
Clean tidy and ample parking.
free parking between hours of 5pm and 9am. 80p before and after.
Shops, bars and near free ferries crossing.
Rooms good size.
Breakfast is ok. Help your self English or Cereal.
F. O.
Very lovely staff. Warm environment too and Mariama at the helpdesk/reception is a huge credit to herself and the hotel. She's the epitome of an engaged employee who is prepared to go beyond the call of duty.
B. B.
Very nice hotel. Good prices, clean rooms friendly enough staff. Would recommend a visit if your in need of a room for any reason in the area. The sink was blocked however, but that was more of a guest problem than a hotel one. Everything else worked perfectly fine. This was my 2nd visit maybe 3rd so guess I'm slowly becoming a regular here lol
F. H.
Clean and tidy dogie friendly
E. T.
Lovely helpful staff, quiet room, comfy bed, hot shower, heated room. Had to ask for an iron and hairdryer which don't come as standard in the room but were provided on request. I stayed for 2 nights midweek for business. 5 minute walk from the DLR, and nearby places to eat within a few minutes walk, or there is a restaurant onsite open until 10pm. 24/7 selected hot food.available. Good selection for breakfast.
J. H.
Very good value for money, night shift staff service and breakfast was terrible, morning staff service were very helpful and friendly.
J. W.
Nice comfy beds, very quiet and noise isolated in the rooms. You wouldn't believe it is in Woolwich. Car park seems simple enough to use. Very nice breakfast inside. They surrounding area is a bit dingy though.
J. K.
The railway line is noisy outside the hotel but it's a lot cheaper than the other side of the river and there's a pedestrian tunnel under the river. It takes about 50 minutes to walk to ExCel.
The DLR stop is a 10 minute walk away and gives ready access to Bank and the rest of the tube network

Tbh I've always liked Travel Lodge, but I am annoyed it costs so much to stay at a lodge in London. I don't see why wifi has to cost me anything at all and there are too many additional items when you book a room. This hotel is clean but not doing enough to offer real value for money.
M. W.
Good place to stay if you're visiting London good links into the city and O2 and even Charlton fc. Nice greeting from staff on arrival. Spacious clean room. What more can you ask at a very reasonable price.
A. O.
I absolutely loved my stay in Travelodge. Impeccable service. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Excellent!!!
O. O.
Cozy, but the toilet/bathroom so small
A. D.
Was smashed the entire duration of the trip pretty much, and the staff were awesome dealing with that!! Haha! Loving the lovely lady at the reception on Friday and Saturday, huge help and a great laugh. Cheers guys, and sorry about the state the rooms in! 😂
I. I.
Good customer service. Close to Woolwich markets and the trains.
J. G.
Staff are fantastic and very helpful. Rooms are the modern look Travelodge style so you know that to expect. Parking us free after 5 and there is a Travelodge restaurant with cheap deals on the ground floor. There are other restaurants near by if this doesn't tickle your fancy.
D.
This was my first stay at Woolwich. Really comfy bed and pillows. Clean , functional room right on a quiet shopping street. Close to ferry and foot tunnel. Close to Dlr and buses. Very friendly staff. I did not eat here.
J. H.
Very friendly service, spacious room with all the basics you need. I requested an iron, but someone had damaged it, so if used would have caused damage to clothing, I've let the staff know. :)
H. W.
Rooms are nice, staff are friendly but there's not really anywhere for your stuff, no bedside tables or wardrobe, just a small clothes rail with 6 hangers but other than that it's decent.
A. O.
Stayed for one night. Friendly staff and great service. The room was clean and up to date. Splendid room for a fair price. Will absolutely stay here again if I'm in London.
N. A.
An excellent Travelodge with friendly, welcoming staff, including Anita.Caroline and Mark.
They all did a great job in making our stay wonderful. Our room was far larger than normal Travelodge rooms. The hotel is also just a 5 minute walk from Woolwich Arsenal DLR station, which makes it easy to get into Central London changing onto the Jubilee Line.
We would certainly stay here again.
K. F.
Travelodge Woolwich is fine. You know what you are getting with this nationwide budget hotel chain. Clean and tidy rooms with good beds, good bathroom/shower room etc, TV, tea and coffee etc thrown in. Good parking in their own carpark. 60p per hour 9am to 6pm (good for London prices) and free overnight when you register your car at reception desk. Very good friendly efficient staff too. Not realising check in time was 3pm i got there 10-30am with a firm prebooked pre Christmas lunch appointment for 12pm with many friends. Manager Dean came to the rescue and found me a clean safe side room where i could wash and change etc to make my lunch appointment and arranged for me to check in later in the evening. Thank you Dean, you sir are a star and saved me a great deal of inconvenience. All the staff were very helpful and accomodating. The buildng itself has a beautiful and original frontage and clock tower. Built in the 1880s, it was the 'Woolwich Co-operative Society Central stores' Now, it has a second life as a Travelodge but that original frontage has been well preserved for the future. 5 stars from me and happy to stay there again.
M. L.
Brand new hotel so you would think the facilities would be better. Internet access is £5 per HOUR! Surely nobody uses it. Nice 32 inch but only a handful of channels. Probably because they want you to pay for their tv selection.
Obviously Travelodge is more bothered about making money than making the guests feel comfortable.
A. R.
.Nice clean room. If you want the lights & tv on you have to keep the key card in the slot on the wall. Breakfast buffet not brilliant.
H. S.
I spent a Sunday night with my girlfriend here and we had a lovely time. Not far from superstores and restaurants. We had a good meal in a nearby restaurant. What a lovely memorable time.
m. J.
The room was nice bed was very comfortable very clean the only problem we had was with the key cards we had to keep going down to charge it but it wouldn't open the doors will come through lift door won't open you got the bedroom door it wouldn't open so was a hassle that you had to keep going up and down up and down
C. R.
It was not what I expected but I still enjoyed my stay. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room smelled a bit like sewage from the bathroom but it wasn’t a big deal. Cheers
J. M.
Good basic and clean. Shower power not the best and soap from my dispenser was restricted or the mechanism faulty. Parking next door was convenient.
R. T.
I stayed there with my partner and we had a great time, good service, we both had a good nights sleep staying there.
M. C.
Affordable, ample paid parking out back. Comfortable to stay, spacious room, bathroom and shower was small.
A. S.
The accommodation and meal in the restaurant was good but the parking payment was a bit of a faf on especially when you are working nights then have to wake up at 9 o'clock to pay your parking.
P. H.
Beds were comfy nice room deffo stay again
P. W.
Neutral as I did not visit the hotel.
C. V.
Fairly cheap and cheerful, basic but all the essentials for a couple of nights on a budget in London, I was there for the London Marathon, the hotel was perfectly positioned for an easy short trip to the start line (only three train stops away to Maze Hill), they put on an extra early breakfast for all us runners and the staff were helpful, cheerful and polite.
F. M.
I have stayed here often as I used to live in Greenwich and it handy to stay in when I visit friends. Clean, comfy, good value for money and the staff friendly and attentive.
T. L.
Stayed for a week while moving house. Excellent customer service and clean, safe, comfortable and warm room. Pet friendly also. Five stars.
N. B.
This Travelodge has offered real value for money. The location is great, being a short walk from Woolwich Arsenal DLR and NR, with plenty of supermarkets, pubs and restaurants available nearby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room itself is massive, and is clean to a high standard. My only gripe is the mattresses are a bit lumpy which makes them more uncomfortable to sleep in than I would like but this is a fairly minor quibble. Overall I would be very happy to stay here again, and out of the London Travelodge hotels I gave stayed in (the others being Barking, Snaresbrook and Walthamstow) this one is definitely my favourite!
s. l.
Happy, polite staff on arrival, room nice and clean. Breakfast exceptional, only negative was they had no jacket potatoes for evening meal but apart from that enjoyed my stay.
R. c.
Easy to find and had free overnight parking. Close to the main high street which made it easy to find somewhere to eat. It took us about 25 minutes to get into central London using the DLR.
J. s.
Good cheap lodging in convenient place
I. P.
Enjoyed my stay here although not the kind of hotel I would normally choose. The place has an old fashioned charm... Food was acceptable.
D. M.
Clean rooms, quiet, Air conditioning in Family rooms. Close to local shopping centre with lots of varied foods. Staff are great. Parking from 5pm to 9am free 60p/hour after.
P. P. S. M.
Good affordable hotel, friendly staff. Very helpful front desk. 5 min walk from DLR station which links into the city and tube network. Parking is chargeable.
D. P.
Clean hotel, found the the night staff somewhat unhelpful, WiFi was terrible did not even have enough strength to send an email.
R. J.
Basic but clean and comfortable. Parking is good.
c. c. (.
Stayed there twice so far, and every time they go above and beyond expectations. Room immaculate and staff friendly.
P. M.
Clean, warm, snug rooms. Quiet too. The breakfast isn't too shabby, but nothing special.
In all, just what you would expect from a Travelodge.
B. L.
Really awesome budget stay with very friendly staff and cute little rooms, breakfast is awesome and it's all worth the price, close to bus stops and DLR
M. B.
great hotel clean and tidy great staff very friendly helpful close to all amenities
E. S.
Not the best but a good little travelodge for the money. 20 minute on the DLR to the o2 and 30 into the centre of London. Don't bother with breakfast, there's a McDonald's 5 minutes up the high street enroute to the station.
P.
Its nice and close to the station and bus stops. Very easy to locate and calm place.
P. D.
There seems to be people living here with no respect for staff or others very noisy hotel
P. B.
A very pleasant and comfortable stay for one night. The rooms were neat and clean and the location was perfect for us.
S. H.
Good service with a clean room. Restaurant on site which is open till 10pm. Car parking at rear (which you need to pay for). Enter car park from Powis street.
M. C.
Comfortable. Parking. Clean room. Great value weekend rate. Shops to hand.
C. H.
OK apart from when I was there the front door was broken and you had to walk around and use the back door. Good breakfast. Not the most comfortable bar.
A. F.
Good location near Greenwich. Clean hotel, straight on the high street! Very easy access to public transport and convenient parking on the back of the hotel.
D. M.
Basic accommodation as to be expected, however it is clean. Fair level of customer service.
C. W.
Great value for money - usual standard from Travelodge don't judge a book by its cover the location is not the smartest but room, staff more than make up for it
J. H.
Standard Travelodge. Room was fine. Air con was good. Room was quiet. Shower worked fine. Everything that you would expect from a Travelodge.
C. M.
Good place to stay in London at very reasonable prices. I have used the Travelodge in Woolwich on numerous occasions and I can say the rooms are simple but clean and tidy.
D. T.
Nice Travelodge, good location, very clean and nice staff - would be 5 stars but getting back into the main building after hours was difficult as the guest card reader wasn't at 100%
S. J.
Sooo lovely
Pls just improve on the wifi availability
M. G.
This was a heated building with beds, floors and openings in the exterior walls which were glazed. There was plumbing and lighting. The names of the staff were available on request. The corridors were frankly bland.
P. F.
Amazing customer service
D. Y.
Location was nice and quiet, bed was comfy and the room was clean. Only complaint is that the selection of TV wasn't great , but for the price, you can't have everything.
R. T.
Very helpful and friendly staff but as all travelodge hotels price changes all the time have had rooms from £39-£95 per night for the same room no loyalty to long staying customers food overpriced and cooked by numbers no flair or effort just follow guide book well this is London what else can you expect
C. C.
Good location and attractive to many shopping outlets. There are also good shopping links and the Woolwich Arsenal train station nearby, operating on railway and DLR .
A. A.
It was far better than the hot Traveloedge with no Air Conditioning at Bethnal Green that I first stayed in. The staff was also very nice and very helpful.
S. S.
It's a travel lodge, basic, smallish rooms and simple. Why they put 2 extra beds in a room for two i will never know because they just got in the way grrrr
A. A.
Clean, functional room. A reliable Travelodge experience. Nothing too fancy but it does the job and I got a good night's sleep.
P. B.
Rooms were lovely and clean, staff very friendly, only 10 mins walk from the DLR station. Great overall
M. P.
The staff here were lovely and the rooms looked recently renovated. Everyone knows what level Travelodge aims at and it does budget accommodation very well.
o. s.
Very quiet, clean, nice not expensive hotel with friendly staff, close to Woolwich Arsenal underground Station and City Airport, around lots of shops and restaurants.
K. O.
Brilliant, although it was the receptionist and her colleague that made it brilliant. Really friendly and nothing was a problem. Thanks girls 😀 oh and the food was delicious too 😀
H. Q.
Service okay, but very annoying that you have to pay for parking during the day and only free at night.
J. P.
Good location in Woolwich. Bedrooms well modernised in old building. Bar/Restaurant comfortable. Parking is a bit of a faff.
R. G.
Stayed here many times rooms are huge service is great wish I could stay there more.
S. G.
Your standard Travelogue (but you know what you're getting), staff friendly, location handy for the DLR. If you're going to the O2 this would be a cheap overnight stay.
A. W.
Located in Woolwich by the ferry terminal. Used this as our base to go to the O2 arena where we used the bus to get to and back from the venue which was great no queues and stop right by the hotel 😁
m. m.
Staff are not really at the desk and the plumbing service was really bad in the bathroom. The area had a horrible stench of sewage

S. P.
Good location, reasonable price. Accommodation good and staff very helpful.
N. C.
Great hotel great staff. They need to find a diffetent way of cooking the mushrooms for breakfast though as they were disgusting.
V. L.
Not the cleanest of hotels. The rooms only have an air heater which can be noisy at night when trying to sleep.
O. T.
Great but the rooms a little dry giving me a headache during the night and morning but apart from that brilliant!
M. F.
Lovely and quiet place , polite , respectful and amiable personal , parking / good place to stay
C. J.
Good enough, slept fine but service was pretty bad. Not the staff's fault, there were only 2 people in on a Friday night!

M. T.
It is what you expect from a travelodge, I didn’t find too much choice for evening food and drinks. Close to DLR for good travel links

A quiet and cosy hotel for relaxation
J.
A clean, functional and peaceful place to stay if on low budget. Great breakfast. Central Reservations Contact Centre is functional and helpful. A certain Mark or so in the team deserves a pay raise. Location is good, with easy access to train and bus stations.

(Translated) First time in London, a little decentralized area but a nice neighborhood, many shops and supermarkets, here in the area you spend little ... Back to the hotel, courteous staff and a cozy room for my tastes.

Prima volta a Londra, zona un po' decentrata ma un bel quartiere, tanti negozietti e supermercati, qui in zona si spende poco... Tornando all'albergo, personale cortese e camera accogliente per i miei gusti.

(Translated) Clean and comfortable rooms. Rich breakfast. The only drawback the off-duty elevator. Good courtesy of the staff.

(Translated) Helpful staff, breakfast average and costs extra (not calculable for space), room "barrier-free" otherwise very basic, WiFi costs extra! Oh yes: the entrance is still defective -> on to the back entrance
(Original)
