Pros: in a good location, rooms and bathrooms are new and nice. Showers are great. Good price. Cons: in summer time it’s ridiculously hot in the room. There was no air flow in the room at all and the wall-mounted fan faced away from the beds. You have to pay £3 for luggage storage which is a bit of a joke

I stayed here with a friend back in 2014, and even after all this time I would definitely come back. The staff was very helpful with everything we needed, the common services were always clean.

A good place, though a bit too cramped. The kitchen was perfect: despite so many people using it, it was kept clean all the time. I was not afraid that my food would get contaminated or me - sick. Bathrooms could be improved though - a shelf for cosmetics and other stuff would be good. The room was small, but the bed was very comfortable. Although for single/double rooms please consider installing beds without metal frames overhead (our bed was a bunk bed turned into a 'normal' double). The staff was helpful and always available; we always had our needs addressed. Thanks a lot.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They went over and above during my stay. Rooms are clean and tidy. Bathrooms are quite small but that is to be expected in London. Could use a shelf to put things on rather than just hooks. The mattress I had in the dorm was quite thin so not super comfortable for me. Everything else was fantastic. There is a lift to the third floor where reception is, then it’s stairs only for the top two floors.

It's a nice and relaxing retreat from the rest of the busy and active area surrounding Oxford Street. The showers and toilets were always clean, which is something I critically check for wherever I stay. The rooms have safe places to lock your things, bring your own lock. The beds arent the most comfortable but they serve their purpose just fine. The staff were always happy to help with any questions or requests and their 24hour service is great. If you happen to be a night owl there will still be someone around to help with anything you might need. The lounge is a very cute social space with comfortable seating. We spent a lot of time there reading books and chatting with strangers. We had a great time at our trip and we're already looking for a suitable time to come back for another trip!

This is a super convenient, safe and cheap place to stay 100m from the heart of Oxford Street and just a few minutes walk from Oxford Circus tube station. It has hot showers, a great self catering kitchen, and a large lounge dining space. It also has luggage storage lockers in the basement so you can go shop till you drop with your hands free! Be mindful that you will be sharing a 4 bed dorm room so the quality of your stay is often defined by those you share with! But that's the nature of hosteling, be kind and considerate to those you share with and be easy going. Would I stay again? Yes😁

The hostel was overall very professionally run and the location cannot be beat. Great convenience to two tube stations, plenty of bus stops, two+ supermarkets, nightlife, pubs, and restaurants. Amenities are pretty sparse but hey, you should have an idea of what you're getting into at a hostel. Room was comfortable enough to not have any serious problems over 9 days. Road noise and hotel noise were nonexistent - nice thick walls. Bathrooms are well looked after. Reception was super helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Would definitely consider staying at this or another YHA in the future!

I loved it there. Really lovely staff, a great community living room, very central yet not at all too noisy and the rooms/bathrooms were clean and functional, even though they were a bit small. It is a youth hostel after all, so don't expect big, luxurious rooms. But for that great price, I was honestly shocked by what we got.

Great location, clean, quiet. The neighbourhood felt safe. People with mobility issues would need to request a room on the reception level, there is an elevator but it doesn’t go to the upper floors. Many flights of stairs to the upper levels. The shower drains slowly but I think they are working on it.

The staff is very friendly and helpful at every time of the day. Rooms are spacious, with just 4 beds and very clean. Facilities are also very clean and modern. There is also a nice lounge and a big kitchen, which can be used. At the reception desk there is also a 24h bar with excellent coffee and a nice selection of beers, everything for a reasonable price!

Brilliant location. I highly recommend it, it's very clean, the bed was comfy and you have a socket next to it to charge your phone etc. Take a small padlock if you intend using the lockers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Use the lift to reception as it's on the 3rd floor. The showers are clean and the water is hot.

Spent a night here and would recommend it. Clean facilities and rooms, plug sockets and lights on each bed and a locker each. Staff were very helpful. It was a quick escape from the busy streets surrounding it and was quiet inside. In a good location for exploring London (I did all my exploring on foot).

Fantastic location in the middle of the action with many shops and pubs nearby, and historic landmarks either a manageable walk or a quick subway ride away. The hostel provides a free walking tour as well as discounts on several other tours attractions. These are great ways to meet people if traveling alone. The rooms are small and the toilet stall is tiny, but those trade offs are worth the price. I absolutely recommend.

We found ourselves having to stay over in London unexpectedly. So I looked for YHA accommodation as a reasonably priced solution. Oxford St YHA offered a 2 person room for £45.00 - central London - very good!! We had a great stay - the dining area and kitchen has air con as does the bar / reception area. We spent a couple of hours there before bed enjoying some wine - under £10.00 for a bottle. Our room was comfy and the fan helped keep us reasonably cool. So 5 star success! Breakfast for a fiver will be a pleasant ending to our stay.

Very clean, well organised and with good facilities. Each bed has a light, plug socket and small shelf which is really helpful. There is a kitchen where you can bring your own food and cook, a great idea. I've tried six or seven different hostels in London and this is my new favourite.

The (2p private) room was clean and big enough, the staff were friendly and took time if you had questions, you can store your luggage if you want to and the location is perfect! You can take free maps or tube maps if you need them and there's good Wi-Fi in the common room. The showers were okay, I was only missing a mirror.. Our own room and the toilet had a mirror though. I'll definitely come again!

I was in a four person room with some lovely people! Although the wifi was weak upstairs, it was nice and fast downstairs in the lounge. Good location, easy enough to find and close to a lot of shopping attractions. My only complaint is the noise from the building site next door, though that's hardly the fault on the hostel... oh yeah, and you only get one pillow. It's a very nice pillow, though.

As is to be expected of cheap accommodations in central London, everything is super cramped. As in, I'm 50kg and had a hard time turning around on the toilet with a small backpack. But the rooms and showers were clean, the staff was very accommodating and the possibility of storing did in the shared fridge was much appreciated. Only downside was the WiFi, super unstable at times.

For a shopping trip nearly perfect because there's just a two minutes walk to reach Oxford Street and make shopping dreams come true. I will defenetly stay again here!

Situated in Soho, it's close to Oxford Street and in less in 5 minutes you can reach Regent Street. So, it's a perfect location! The staff are nice and helpful. Rooms are clean, and the toilets a little small but they do their job. You can leave your luggage for £ 2/3 per day if you need.

We got a private room and it was nicely sized but very hot and stuffy. The window barely opened so we couldn't get much of the cool outside air in either. The facilities were cleaned and the place seems well managed. However the WiFi was awful. Doing anything using it, even web searches was incredibly painful. This was my first hostel, so I don't have much to compare it to. It was pretty much what I expected: small quarters, very friendly service. It is centrally located in Soho and very convenient. Everything was very clean, and everyone was so nice and helpful. The only complaint would be the noise--not from the other guests but from the street. The windows aren't insulated at all so closing them sounds almost the same as having them wide open. This means that in busy Soho with all the street sounds (honking, yelling, trucks unloading, etc.) all night long that sleeping is very on again/off again (even with earplugs). Otherwise it was perfect for our needs!

A very cosy place to stay. I really like the kitchen and the common room. There is always one snorer, even in an all female dorm... Still got some sleep. Love the mirrors and the sink in the room. I will definitely come back.

The location is perfect!! Just few mins walk to 2 underground station and few mins walk to soho! The room is dusty but still ok! The kitchen and bathroom is very clean and tidy! It's a great hostel but the reason why I am only giving it 3 is because when I came to book again (for exactly the same time of year - December but the following year) I found that the price per night had increased from £50 to £75 per night! The response I got back from the hostel was that the prices fluctuate and may change. Well I have been keeping an eye out on them since January and have yet to see it cheaper than £69 per night for the room we had. YHA say they make things affordable for families but increasing the price by such an enormous amount in a short space of time (we went in December) does not convince me of this. I am disappointed they are choosing to do this. I hope to be able to afford to come back again with my autistic son this year as he loved it so much and it is a fab hostel but with that price increase, I sadly cannot guarantee it.

Amazingly located in one of London's most vibrant areas, within walking distance of a whole bunch of attractions (touristy and otherwise), and, by far, the cleanest hostel I ever stayed in. Good facilites, lovely staff, an absolute winner. Two warnings: 1. No wifi in rooms. You have to use the common areas if you want to take advantage of the free wifi. 2. Stairs, stairs, stairs. If you have accessibility requirements, this hostel is probably not for you.

Just love this place ! We went there a few times. Very central located. Staff is friendly. There is a kitschen and a fridge. You can prépare your food. But they propose breakfast as well. If you want you can just ask for a coffee or tea and eat your own food. Rooms are confortable. It’s not only a youth hostel but also an hostel for adults what makes a nice atmosphere I think. Location, location and did I say location? Wow! Once you step foot out the front door, you are in the middle of the action. Very busy! Shop til you drop just a block away! The only negative about this place is the bathroom! About the same as that on an airplane. Walk in backwards, bc there is no turning around. Even with that being said, I would stay here again!

Good hostel in a good position. Easy to get to from King's Cross/St Pancras rail stations by number 73 bus to Soho Street then a 5 minute walk to the hostel. Reception is on the 3rd floor, accessed by either lift (elevator) or stairs, rooms are on floors 4 and 5 which are only accessible by stairs. There is a good small self catering kitchen which has 3 gas hobs and 2 microwaves but doesn't have a conventional oven.There is a M&S Food Hall and a Tesco Metro nearby if you wish to self cater during your stay. Hostel only has a small selection of hot food to purchase.The London Palladium theatre and Carnaby Street are close to the hostel. If you have any questions about the hostel, it might be best if you call the hostel and ask them as they are very helpful, this applies to all YHA hostels anywhere in London and around the UK.😎

Just ok. The private rooms are very small and not so clean but the sink in the room is convenient. Usually you find money saving tips in the lobby and good info on local food. Here though, the tips arent so great. If you work there and are reading this, at least include tips on 2For1 tickets with trains. More suggestions on food would be good as the billboard in the kitchen is unhelful. Kitchen is well stocked. The lobby sells beers and some foodstuff but its more expensive than buying from across the street at Brew Dog for takeaway. The main plus of this hostel is the location! Its very central. The streets of soho have great restaurants at varying prices. There are groceries nearby too. All in all, a good stay but not the level im used to in a YHA

Oxford Street is another fantastic day out with friends. It is in great location to the tube station which is easy to get too from Waterloo train station. Oxford street includes fantastic shops and department stores which are exciting to see and spend time in. The atmosphere is great as it is busy and an exciting place to be in London.
