S. M.The concept of the hostel is for big groups, the location by itself doesn't organize pub crawls or tours or at least I didn't see them. I put 3 stars because the restrooms can improve. The personnel is friendly and professional, the location is not bad, they just need to focus more on individual guests. Breakfast is in a typical hostel fashion, nothing special (not the guilty of the folks in the kitchen). If you are staying here, many free attractions will be available appart from ten!
Cheaper prices at the front desk for attractions and some people from England staying here for one night or two (in case meeting them is on your top priorities).
W. M.This historic building is full of life in this hostel. The accommodation is very comfortable. The ablutions were very clean and trustworthy. And the food... I think the only spared luxury in a hotel is a single bed room. If you want a real London adventure, then why not stay in a hostel from which you can see St Paul's Cathedral and a short walk away from major attractions.
S. W.My friend and I stayed here for two nights and we weren’t let down! The rooms were nice, however the beds were very squeaky an uncomfortable. The bathrooms did not work very well but I did not personally run into any issues. Our biggest issue was that the place didn’t have a fridge or kitchen which would have been very useful. This also definitely isn’t a hostel to meet people at, there were many families and few teens. I was also kept up at night by the church bells and random yelling / noises on the street. I understand this isn’t controllable by the hostel but we had to keep the windows open because there’s was no fans, hence the louder noises. Despite all of this, the hostel was quite nice and I was pleasantly surprised.
A. R. M.Nice hostel. Rooms are clean as well as the building. Some may think are small, but you just have the necessary for sleeping after a long day in London. Beds have each a lamp and usb connectors for charging, so don't worry about adapters. Breakfast is really good and tasty, you can have a variety of things to choose and for sure you won't be hungry in a while. Staff are really nice, they let you leave your things in the storage room if you arrive before check-in. The location is good for visiting the cathedral, although if you want to visit the Big Ben or Buckingham Palace, those are far away, but there is a metro station really close so it is not a problem to go directly to those places.
D. A.My favourite London hostel and as always in any YHA, the room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfy and the ambience was friendly. I booked a few days in advance and found a bargain, so treated myself to a private room for 2 nights. This place has character and you get to tell the time by listening out for the cathedral bells. The only downside is the lack of a kitchen for guests to use. The carrot cake on the coffee and cake deal was delicious. I'll be back!
L. P.One of the better hostels I've stayed in. Efficient and friendly staff. Very clean. Well organized. Excellent location. And good value. Each bunk is equipped with a power outlet and USB ports. YHA London St Paul's is also a good option if you have an early outbound flight and don't want to splurge on a hotel room when you'd only be using it for a few hours.
E. E.Not bad for a youth hostel, the service was great, and they accommodated our large group of 44 people. My family of eight had our own private bedroom, but we did share a bathroom which didn’t seem to be a problem. The place is relatively clean for a hostel. Best part about this was the location, you cannot beat the location of this hostel! We enjoyed several evenings sitting on the steps of Saint Paul before we returned for the evening to bed.
H. P.We had a private room and really liked it. The rooms are great, the toilets and showers clean. The water in the shower smelled slightly though, and the bells of the Cathedral were very loud (and rang throughout the whole night, every hour or so). Apart from that it's a nice hostel, and perfectly in the center 👍🏽
T. F.Like this place. Obviously amazing location. Some people don’t like the noise from bells of St Pauls but to me it adds a bit of culture! Room experience can be a lottery - sometimes on your own in big room, sometimes with 6 other rather smelly chaps in a blazing hot room. In general this place is great - and for the cost there is nothing else that can even come close. The lounge area is actually a nice space to read or watch tv and have a drink before retiring to the ‘bunk’.
C. G.It was my first experience at a hostel and I've really enjoyed the place. Staff are kind and amenable, especially Leigh and Kess, so such friendly people (thanks for the jacuzzi!). The bedrooms are clean and large enough when you only want a good night's sleep after such filled and energetic days walking by London. Breakfast is tasty, varied and cheap. All in the hostel is neat and nice. It was a really good stay in there.
B. P.Generally it's a decent hostel and the location is great. However, they charge for every single extra which in other hostels is usually included in price.
They do have lockers in rooms, BUT you have to buy a padlock for 3£ if you dont have one. They do provide towels, BUT you pay 2£ to rent them. Want to leave your luggage in the hostel if you arrive before check-in time? Want to leave your luggage a bit longer after your check out? Sure, BUT prepare 2-3£ for it.
L. K.A very good hostel, rooms relatively new and clean, especially liked a power plug and a small shelf for the top bunk. Only minuses are that it's too warm in the whole building (and I was visiting in Oct!) and a church bell that bells every 15mins, throughout the night.
A. H.Great location, right next to St Paul's Cathedral & underground station. Lots of quaint little pubs, bars & restaurants available in the surrounding area.
As for the hostel itself, fantastic lounge area & cafeteria. The rooms are neat, cleaned regularly and big, convenient lockers are provided for storing larger items of luggage.
However, the wifi is inconsistent which can be frustrating at times. It should also be noted that it doesn't work in the rooms, which doesn't really make any sense.
A special mention goes out to the staff for being incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
To be frank, I was going to rate it 4 stars due to the wifi issues, but the amazing staff made up for that.

A. D.Very average hostel with a hostel feel despite the nice photos on their website. Too noisy to sleep soundly and there were mosquitoes in my room which was bizarre. Rooms need tlc. Would not stay here is you have better options.
A. T.The hostel itself is in a very convenient location right across the st Paul cathedral. The facilities are well maintained if not a bit barebones and showing its age. Separation of cold and hot water tap? What is this primitive technology?
One thing to bear in mind though is St Paul cathedral will ring their bells in the middle of the night in full blast with no intention of subtlety. I got woken up by one at 4 am! If you are a light sleeper like me, beware of the blaring bells next door. Other than that, great value for the money.

J. M.Great location and very helpful staff. it's an affordable place to stay if you're on a budget. The only complaint is how easy it was to hear everyone in the building. I am a light sleeper and had trouble staying asleep.
All in all, I did enjoy my visit. A good central location for the frugal traveller.
S. L. K.Wonderful staff; very friendly and unbelievably helpful. Great food, free drinking water/bottle refill station. Rooms are clean, with two USB ports and a Standard British plug for charging at each bed as well as a lamp at each one. Toilets are cleaned multiple times a day; more than enough showers. Common area is wonderful, TV freely available and a great book swap. Basic necessities are sold right there for a more than fair price. Washing machines exist as well; food is sold for dinner and lunch from an extensive Menu that includes vegan and vegetarian options. Water from basins is sometimes boiling hot, sadly. The wooden shelves in every room can be locked if a lock is on hand, otherwise one can be bought. Staff goes so far as to allow non-checked in persons to use the downstairs toilets in public area. We even were allowed back in after check out to have a place for a break and some water. Very kind, once again. There’s a Great Wall where you can put memories from the city on tags, which is really cool and also meant I didn’t see a single graffiti, so thumbs up for that. There’s a keycard for every room, which go from two people with a double and a single bed to 10 people, and you can get more cards for a 5£ safety. You’ll get it back promptly once the keycard is returned. Curfew was adhered to by our group, and by others as well. So even though I obviously can’t guarantee that, the hostel seems to attract well-behaved groups ;)
Staff seems to be on hand basically all day. The hostel (really more of a hotel) is situated extremely centrally. Two tube stations close by (at most 7 minutes walk), maybe five minutes to St. Paul’s. Went here for a school trip and will definitely book again for private trips.
S. J.While the rooms were a bit small, the staff was friendly and generally knowledgeable about the area, bus lines and metro stations. The neighborhood is nice, several coffee shops and supermarkets in the area. My friend and I booked an all female dorm. The beds were a bit small and the showers are one per floor, but all in all, it was a decent place to stay. They had large, in-room lockers for backpacks, so bring a padlock. Their breakfast costs £5 per day, but there's plenty of delicious food, so if you enjoy eating a big breakfast, it's worth it.

A. T.Great accommodation mainly due to the fantastic central location. It has a nice hostelly feel and is very clean and well maintained. The only downside is in the summer it gets quite hot and therefore requires you to have the windows open in your room to all the outdoor noises. The hostel is so close to St Paul's Cathedral which is great but you didn't already know - church bells ring at night as well!

The place in general was a nice place and looked clean and tidy, the meeting room was really cool with a proper fire place! From the other reviews it clear that for a central London place to stay it's pretty cheap and worth it. I would definitely book the meeting rooms if I need.
E. V.The rooms themselves are wonderful and cozy fitting six or so people. It also is situated in a wonderful part of the city of London meaning it tends to be within walking distance of many things you might like to go see such as St. Paul, Trafalgar, and the the entire Southbank of the Thames. However, overall there were a few things that really stopped this from sticking out. Number one, the bathrooms. While not terrible they do have a tendency to be capped and their method of toilet paper delivery is strange and unsatisfactory. Secondly, breakfast. While not terrible, the cups are small for drinks discouraging you from getting well hydrated for your day around London and the selection of both food and drink is incredibly limited. In my opinion, for the price point, if you have a decent sized group your better off sharing an Airbnb flat for a day or two than spending the money for everyone to stay at this hostel.
L. M.Very nice and clean. Restaurant is pretty decent and they have a 24h shop for essentials. Location is pretty good for tourist attractions but not the best for partying. Internet is not great except in the lobby. The other con is that there is no self catering kitchen. Other than this i would definitely recommend.
L. D.The hostel looks really good and has an amazing crew. There's no elevator, but that wasn't an issue for me. The main problem I had was that my room was the nearest to the Cathedral, which rings its bells every 30 min, so sleeping was almost impossible.

B. T.YHA was a very clean and professional hostel. The location is beyond perfect and the price very reasonable for where you are in the city and the room you sleep in. Hostel experiences are often made or broken based on whether someone is snoring all night, but as for facilities, this place was quite nice and had very strong security not only for each floor, but each room on each floor along with a full breakfast each morning for 6.25 as of August 2018. The only thing I wish they could improve are the showers. They're cramped closets with a drain in the floor and can feel a bit claustrophobic and if you took a hot shower you might just sweat enough to feel like you haven't showered if you dry off too long in these sweat boxes. Really kind staff, efficient use of space, and apparently a chain all over the UK. I plan to look for YHA when I go back to the isles and hope to support them so they can continue to upgrade their facilities even further.
D. C.Good breakfast with the best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten in a hostel! and real fruit salad, which is lovely and very cheerful staff. Not the nicest Hostel in terms of rooms - small and a bit smelly but the clean and an excellent location. A shame that the family rooms are miles from the kitchen and that they do not supply kettles in private rooms - a long way for us tired parents to walk to make tea!!

C. P.The rooms were fine, bed was comfortable enough to sleep OK. The food wasn't great, I would budget in to eat out if possible after breakfast! The location is really good, round the corner from St. Paul's and a 4 minute walk to Blackfriars station! The WiFi is terrible though, it only works downstairs and not in your room, and even downstairs it's really weak.
M. R.My name is Mrs Maria Reed. I stayed @ St Paul's YHA from 9-13th/10. My overall experience was good. The staff on the reception were wonderful especially the gentlemen who patiently wrote down all my directions for public transport & walking.
I was disappointed that they were no self - catering available. I booked 2 breakfast & 2 supper club meals. Breakfast were great, but I feel supper club was poor value. This was addressed when I fetched it to the attention of the Chef. I have today transferred to Thameside & with I'd known of this facility earlier.
It's worth noting for future there is a direct link from Victoria Coach St to Thameside yha.

The Hostel is super clean and comfortable, bunk beds need replacing... they're the same ones i slept on 14 years ago and they were old then. Staff were helpful and friendly.
J.Great place to stay for a hostel. Rooms are super clean and it has good food. Nice showers, small toilets. But can't beat the price. Not like a hotel, but it's also not a hotel. Good place to stay.
W. T.You get what you pay for. Budget-friendly and accessible location, but the toilets could use more frequent cleaning. Climbing through the maze of doors and stairs can be quite troubling.
A.Pros: lovely staff, clean beds, fresh sheets, every bed has a personal socket (regular and usb) and light.

A. W. o. G.Brilliant location, friendly staff, clean and well presented comfortable accommodation. Great communal spaces, good refreshment options. The Cathedral steps are around the corner, also the Millennium footbridge to the South Bank and Tate Modern. Stations close by are City Thameslink (Ludgate Hill exit) and St Paul's (Central Line). Believe it or not there is even a beach with sand at low tide, access to the left of the Millenium Bridge!
J. Z.YHA St. Paul's is nice from the outside but it has rooms.... that look nothing like on the website. I was quite shocked. The room is just the size of the bed?!! (Double bed room) I think for that price I could get something with enough space to fit my suitcase in. Now me and my friend have to open our suitcases by putting them on the bed. No space to unpack anything. Also I was not impressed by the shower. I don't have Klaustrophobia but in that shower I get klaustrophobic. +++ ONE STAR because of the staff. Everyone is really really nice, even if they could not help us with our room. The breakfast is okay. THE COFFEE IS VERY GOOD. I'm from Germany. Coffee is my religion. +++ another star because they have a good service where they help you with tickets and they even book and print them for you.

Y. I.A standard hostel near the city centre. The room was bigger compared to other hostels. But on the third floor the corridor had a bad smell. It's a good place to stay if you are a group of people and are looking for a reasonable accommodation near the city centre.

It's noisy and hard to get sleep in the large dorm rooms, unfortunately. You get what you pay for though.
N. B.Good hostel which is the old choir school for St Paul's Cathedral and is very close to the church. There isn't a lift as it's a listed building, the entrance isn't wheelchair friendly and there isn't a self catering kitchen, but there is a restaurant in the hostel for breakfast and evening meals. The hostel is very popular with UK, European and USA schools visiting London.There are several small supermarkets and a number of restaurants close to the hostel. The Museum of London is close by and is well worth a look.

J. M.It's not my favourite hostel in London, but it's a good one. Rooms are clean and tidy, with large lockers (bring your own lock), and an in-room sink (not certain if that's in all of them). The bunk beds each have one UK electric socket and two USB charging ports. Rings downstairs share a single shower and two toilets over 12 beds, a reasonable ratio. Security is very good, with key card access to the front door and each room. The hostel's location is one of the best for transportation, with quick access to trains (easy to get to Luton Airport), Tube, and and a 16 minute bus to Leicester Square. Nearby St Paul's Cathedral is a worthwhile visit, and it's just a few blocks to Barbican Centre, which is great for performances and culture. Staff provided basic information at the outset, but more info is available for those who ask. I haven't had breakfast there recently, but my last experience was good — it's not set up for self-catering, but it's easy to get a cheap sandwich + drink + chips deal at nearby grocery shops.

V. M.Stayed there with my 5 other girlfriends. We booked for 8 female dorm but they gave us the 6 female dorm so it felt like private room. Too bad that the room wasn’t warm enough and there’s only one small shower room.

This is it. USB charger plug in available at each bed!! For me who use different electric plugin was amazing to find out.

J. D.Booked a 4 bed private room with a couple of friends. The room was clean and tidy nd what I expected. The staff were absolutely amazing. So kind and friendly and always seemed to very happy to help.
J. F.For backpackers in London, this is the best choice! Just remember that this is a hostel and is not categorized as a luxury hotel, so the solo rooms would be small and the bigger rooms are supposed to be shared dorm rooms. The toilets and showers are small but it fits backpackers. There is a library/game lounge. There is a store within the service desk which sells travel and hygiene pieces at very reasonable prices. The Victorian-Edwardian mixed with modern accent of the interiors of the lobby and the lounges give the hostel a very British experience.
The hostel has so much character that fits the spirit of youth and camaraderie.
It is only a 3-minute walk away from the Blackfriars Station of the London Underground and the majestic St. Paul's Cathedral is so close, it works like you alarm clock. Also, it is one ride away from London Gatwick Airport. The staff is very accommodating and ethnically diverse. The setup allows you to meet a lot of people and make new friends.
N. B.Right next to St. Pauls. Lovely hostel. You do hear the chimes of the cathedral but it does not bother your sleep. Fine prices for a hostel in the centre of London.
M. M.A decent hostel with a super friendly northern lad on reception. Location is fantastic and the facilities, although built on a grand scale, are decent and well maintained. The price is also extremely reasonable for London too.

So rude Im an adult I decide when I go to bed! If you have a common room how about you let your PAYING GUESTS use it as a common room.Anyway I went to bed at 2.30am then returned at 5.30am packed and ready to go to my next point on my holiday.I would like to return to St Paul cause I did like it there but G* MATE CHILLAX WE'RE ON HOLIDAYS NOT IN A BOARDING SCHOOL!!!
G. A.Very pleasant rooms and unbeatable location. 8 to a room makes them a little noisy, and the shared bathroom facilities are basic and rather limited, but for central London at these prices you can't grumble!

Hostel Is near to center really near from catedral and bridge from Harry Potter :) 15 minutes walk from Liverpool street where is bus stop from London standsted airport . Great helpdesk :)

C.Great thing about yha st Paul's is you go out the front door, turn left and left again ..three minutes along a pavement and you are across the road from St Paul's cathedral..five minute walk to the Millennium bridge..over the bridge, on the right Tate Modern, to the left the Globe and Bankside, where you can catch a Thames Clipper to travel to Greenwich or Westminster.
Or catch buses to Aldwych, Trafalgar Square or Waterloo from outside st Paul's.
There's a Pret, McDonalds, Subway and bars and wineries in the immediate area.
The rooms are clean and adequate..the dining room is clean and modern with a TV. You can use it to read or chat in..there's a 24 hour reception..sells cold and hot drinks..I bought a coffee at 12.30am, the TV was still on,so I could have had my drink there..
The breakfast was very nice, quality bacon and sausages..
Only negatives are the fan in the courtyard which is noisy, and my fire alarm, in the ceiling, did flash all night..
But £36 ( breakfast extra around £6)..so close to central London got to be a bargain.

호스텔 처음 써봤습니다. 저는 5인실이었구 친구랑 둘이 썼는데 둘 다 2층 침대 위쪽 배정받았습니다. 역시나 그렇듯 저희가 늘 제일 먼저 일어나서 준비했는데 2층이라서 내려올 때 좀 눈치 보였습니다. 나중에는 불 안켜고 준비하는 사태까지,, 그냥 대강 사셔도 될 것 같습니다. 룸메들도 좋았어요!
숙소에 대해서 말해보자면 일단 리셉션 앞에 로비가 있는데 여기서 하루일과 마치고 대화하기 좋구(근데 조금 추움) 그 옆에 식당도 있어서 여기서 밥 먹을 수도 있습니다!(유료인데 좀 비쌈) 저는 안 먹어봤습니다ㅎㅎ
근데 쥐들이 돌아다녀요 한 3-4마리 있는거 같은데 하루에 최소 2마리씩은 봅니다. 2마리인지 1마리가 여러번 돌아다니는 건지는 모르겠습니다. 완전 작은 친군데 며칠 보다보면 좀 정들어요
화장실과 샤워실은 각 층 별로 한개씩 있는 것 같습니다! 보통 잘 안 겹치는데 뭔가 12/31이라던가 1/1같이 특별한 날은 샤워실 쟁탈 전쟁이 벌어질 수 있으니 그냥 그 앞에서 기다리시는 것을 추천,,, 그러면 지나다니는 사람 10명 정도와 인사할 수 있습니다.
쥐 친구는 식당•로비에만 있구 방에는 없어요ㅎㅎ
리셉션 직원분들이 친절하시구 물은 1.5파운드로 비싸니까 한번 사서 식당에서 물 충전해서 다니세요! 몰랐는데 식당 벽 쪽에 찬 물 받는 곳 있어요 근데 약간 맛 이상함

총 두 번 머물렀는데 만족스러웠어요! 우선 리셉션 직원들이 친절했고, 침대마다 등이 달려있어서 방에 불이 켜져있지 않더라도 불 켜고 자기 할 거 할 수 있습니다. 저는 8인실도 써봤고 2인실도 써봤는데, 전부 다 화장실이랑 샤워실은 바깥에 있는 것 같았어요. 개인 사물함 사용할 수 있는데 자물쇠는 따로 없으니 미리 준비해서 가시는 게 좋아요. 또 영국 전체가 110V 쓰다보니 변압기 챙겨가시는 게 좋고, 만약 못챙겨가셨더라도 리셉션에서 판매해요. 그것보다 Primark에서 사시는게 더 저렴할 수도 있어요. 드라이기도 보증금 내면 빌려준다고 되어있는데 보증금 안받고 빌려주셨어요!

Hay armarios al que se puede poner candado. Las camas son cómodas y con enchufes para cargar el teléfono en una pequeña mesita/repisa al lado de cada cama. Son cómodas.
