Lovely place, quiet room even though we we were facing the road. Beds are nice, fresh clean bedding, and very little sounds from the hallway. The area around the hostel is quiet and nice, green areas all around, 15 min walk from Canada Water underground. Stay here and pay way less for the same quality than you would somewhere closer to the city centre.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean and the dorm for 6 people was quite spacious. It was better than expected. Sadly we slept rather poorly because the rooms were very warm. The heat was on max it seemed and we could not turn it off. I would come back, but ask the staff to do something about the heat. The staff was friendly but sadly there was so luggage room, so you have to pay for a locker.

Clean, nice breakfast, and lots of space in rooms. Some of the facilities eg. showers are looking a bit run down, and not every guest sticks to the no noise between 11pm-7am (which is understandably difficult to enforce). For the price it's great as a base to sleep.

Dinner is ok, with a salad bar and pudding included. The bar/cafe is good value for money. Breakfast is superb. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially considering we had a group of 40 children with us! The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds. On hot nights the room was quite warm, but they do provide a fan.

Amazing! Great location, very clean, modern rooms and excellent breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also a bar at which you can order food and drinks. You can lock your bicycles away safe in a small shed. Absolutely recommendable!

Lovely accommodation, the staff were helpful on giving us the best routes for the best places in London. We originally booked a three-bunk bed room, but as the en-suite rooms were free so she upgraded us for free. The kitchen had many appliances but it was quite small and cramped and there were limited seating. Next to the kitchen there was a small room with sofas, books and TV, this was clean. Also the WiFi didn't work in the rooms and only worked downstairs in the lounge area. Overall the accommodation was lovely and would go again.

Fun hostel. Definitely geared towards a younger crowd. Wifi is throughout the whole building but is best in the lobby. Beds are standard, rooms seem spacious. Bathroom is good enough, although the showers are not tall person friendly. Has excellent charging options for electronics. It's been a godsend for my phone's battery. The location is also excellent in terms of access to easy transit.

The place was clean and the rooms were very nice for a hostel. There were plug sockets and lights next to each bed and lights on the top bunks. There was also a fan and a window we could open which was good considering it was a very hot weekend. The staff were relatively friendly and the hostel is well priced. There's also and outside seating area and a sort of cafe bit where you can get drinks and food

Good location, you have to walk about 7 minutes to get to Canada Water Tube station, but the way there is great. All around beautiful houses and ponds, lovely. The hostel lobby is modern and neat, the rooms could be a bit tidier (some walls need some fresh colour, etc.). I definitely suggest to get breakfast there, it's really tasty, and you can always make a cup of tea. It is a pity that there is wifi available only in the lobby, but I still enjoyed the stay and would recommend the accommodation.

Great Stay! Beds are Reasonably comfy and the beds have a plug socket, 2 USB plugs and 2 bed side lights. Lockers were also inside rooms so you could lock your stuff up. Breakfast and Dinner was nothing special but was nice. As for Getting in, there is a gate outside which you have to call reception to unlock. All doors inside are NFC unlockable and room doors use keys to get it. Would reccomend as it is very cheap and friendly

We stayed here as a family of 6. The place was very clean and comfortable. Lobby, hallway, public bathrooms and eating areas were all spotless. Room were clean and beds very comfortable. My only small complaint was that the floor of shower was slightly wonky!! But bathrooms clean and tidy. It also felt very secure. Buzzer entry at gates and secure entry to corridors etc.. We had our car and found an easy parkong space on the street behind, no parkong charge. We were also able to leave our bikes in the bike store for free on the days we did not wish to use them. We would definately recommend it to any family looking an affordable place to stay in London.

It was a nice place with nice food and accommodations, however, in my room(310) our bathroom sounded like a screaming camel. As well as that, it gets quite hot very quick. However, it was a nice place to stay.

I went there like 4 times in 2 years, I love it! Rooms are ok for being an hostel, there are power outlets for every bed. Private rooms (both suites and families) have a bathroom with a shower. I love the hall, you can meet and talk with people there. Free WiFi included in shared spaces (hall, restaurant etc.). You have the possibility to leave your luggage in their deposit for just a couple of pennies, which is a good thing for travelers

This is my second home. The location is ideal for visiting most of the places of interest and moving around everyday since the shopping centre is just 6 minutes walk. There are two underground stations near by and the bus stop is in front of the Hostel so I was never tired. The only lift which is always working is in Thameside YHA and there are two. I have never carried my bags although I have been there dozens of times. I feel relax and confident everywhere: in the comfortable lounges, in my room and even in the neighbourhood.Food is excellent and consistent. I like having my cappuccino served there. How wonderful the members of staff are! Ready to help everyone and so professional that they do everything for you. I hope all the best for them. I am very grateful to Beverley, Wilson, Sarah, Beatrix,Tina, Barbara, Aesma, Pedro and all those I cannot name here. The rooms, the kitchen and the common places are continually cleaned by smiling staff the whole day. Lovely, quite, clean and cheap place to stay in for individuals, families or groups. I heartfully recommend this Hostel to any kind of visitor from England or from abroad.

Better than previous hostels I've stayed at and cant complain about the facilities offered at all. Large group of us including 15-20 children and it wad suitable for all of us Edit: I'm actually compelled to add an edit that the staff are hugely amenable and that the communal facilities are actually very hygienically prepared

Nice hostel with plenty of facilities. Located close to Underground and Overground train services. The area is quiet so good for families. Nearest supermarket is at Canada Water, although there is a Nisa Local close by. Staff were friendly. The only drawback for me was that the beds are 2 ft 6" wide and mattresses are thinner than what I'm used to. That said, is still recommend it to anyone looking for value for money.

The yha was oddly located without clear signs as to what needs to be done when you arrive there. After walking around looking for the entrance we finally find a call button to get in. The gate was also heavy to open, especially for a guy like me who goes to the gym every day. The guy who looked after us initially made a mistake and did not activate our zappy to get into the area for our rooms which wasted a bit more of our time. We got given a bunk bed for a couple, whilst we were not informed what kind of bed we would get, it would had been nice to get a double or single beds or have told this. The wifi only just reaches our room on this first floor so I'll imagine other floor get little internet. It was frustratingly slow even for us so I'll recommend they extend it to all floors. There are a lot of other hostels that I've stayed at already doing this so yha is a bit behind and starting to get expensive at $100/night for a double private room. The mattress and pillow for the bunk beds were also inadequate. The mattress and pillow were too thin on the first night so we didn't sleep well. To their credit, they gave us another mattress and pillow each for the second night which gave us a better rest. They do offer a nice area where you can work off your computer with plugs all around a seating arrangements where around 10 people can work off. You also don't need to bring your used laundry downstairs like my experience in Australia.

for a hostel this place is amazing, super clean and quite few places to sit I.e. there was a cafe and a breakfast bar type place, there was also a tv room, the public toilets are really clean, BUT theres a small gap between the toilets and it made me a bit uncomfortable because I could see into it. they also have lockers so if you check out and dont want to carry your bags you can put them in there for £2-3. the only downside was that I plugged my charger into a wall socket and it was stuck and scratched one of the prongs.

As far as hostels go, surprisingly good! Unfortunately a friend had an allergic reaction to the detergent used on the bedding, but apart from that was ok! Some ominous stains on the ceilings and taps that need to be turned opposite ways, but breakfast was pretty good and made up for the very minor annoyances. The few staff I encountered during my one night stay were friendly.

Recently stayed here with my school. Conveniently located near two stations, excellent rooms, was pleasantly surprised with the USB ports on the outlets. Rooms were clean, beds were a tad uncomfortable, but I can live with that. Breakfast was excellent, with help of the friendly staff. Shame about the poor WIFI coverage, though.

Don't expect luxury here but if you are searching for youth hostels I don't really need to tell you that, the rooms are clean and have everything you need for the night. It's cheap it's cheerful and it's only a ten minute walk from the nearest subway station, for a cheap stay in London you really can't ask for more.

Stayed here for my RideLondon 100 weekend. Very friendly staff. They provided pasta buffet the night before the Ride and breakfast bar was opened at 5 am so we could get an early breakfast. Highly recommended. Will stay here again if doing another race/ride.

Excellent location - right on a bus route (C10) from just outside Victoria coach station and drops you off almost outside the hostel. Rotherhithe is a great location to stay . Seemed nice and safe 10 min walk to the train and I saw a fox 3 times early morning and late at night. This place has what you need beds.cooking and washing facility. Doing your washing takes a few hours 45 mins for wash 45 for drying but always needed to do 2 drying cycles so it costs around 6 pounds

The YHA London Thameside hostel was perfect for our party. We loved having our own room and an ensuite! Everything was very clean and tidy. Each bed had two USB ports and a power outlet which was awesome. I wish WiFi was also in the rooms and not only the common area, but it did work well.

Good location, close to Rotherhithe overground, short walk from Canada Water tube. Whilst quite basic, it offers solid accommodation. Take your own towels! Old Salt Quay ( Green King pub) across the road helps cater although onsite bar and restaurant offers a decent menu.

YHA London Thameside is close to the River Thames, hence the name. Nearest underground is Canada Water with Canada Water bus station close by. C10 bus from either Canada Water or near to Victoria coach station stops at Smiths Close which is approx 50 metres from the hostels entrance. Hostel has a restaurant for breakfast and evening meals, a good recently updated self catering kitchen and a TV lounge. The hostel is popular with UK and European schools visiting London. 😎

It is a nice little hotel, had wifi, vending machines and a bar also a self catering kitchen to prepare your own food to eat but the rooms are quite small and if areosoles are sprayed outside the bathroom the smoke alarm goes off and everyone has to evacuate the building.

(Translated) With my friend / colleague we slept 5 nights in a double room with private bathroom located on the 4th floor which can be reached comfortably both by lift and by stairs. When booking I had requested a quiet and peaceful room, I must say that the quality of sleep was indeed good, no noise from outside and even the guests located on the same floor were very quiet. Every day the baskets were emptied, the floor swept and the bathroom cleaned up. The very convenient location to reach ExCeL Exhibition Center (half an hour by metro) Canada Water metro station 10 minutes on foot of a pleasant path between very quiet and cute residential neighborhoods, as is the whole area in which the structure is located . Convenient bus stop in front of the structure. The room is too small it takes a spirit of adaptation even if in the end you are only going to sleep the space is really limited and you have difficulty moving in two (double room with private bathroom) luckily we had two small bags otherwise I don't know how we would have done . In the bathroom, the water pressure is really low, in fact from the tap of the sink came out as little as needed to wash your hands, and it never came out hot, from the shower came hot water but with a very "weak" flow. Every time we entered the room there was a strange smell. I would improve the initial cleaning especially of the bathroom. I must say that the photos do not reflect very much the reality of the structure which live seems to be much more dated and "off", in fact I do not deny that I was surprised. Overall I recommend it especially for the price and location of the hotel. In fase di prenotazione avevo richiesto una stanza tranquilla e silenziosa, devo dire che la qualità del sonno infatti è stata davvero buona, nessun rumore proveniente dall'esterno e anche gli ospiti situati allo stesso piano sono stati molto silenziosi. Ogni giorno venivano svuotati i cestini, spazzato il pavimento e rassettato il bagno. La posizione molto comoda per raggiungere ExCeL Exhibition Centre (mezz'ora di metro) fermata metro Canada Water 10 minuti a piedi di un piacevole percorso tra quartieri residenziali molto tranquilli e carinissimi, come del resto lo è tutta la zona in cui è collocata la struttura. Fermata autobus comodissima di fronte alla struttura. La camera troppo piccola ci vuole spirito di adattamento anche se alla fine si sta solo per dormire lo spazio è davvero limitato e si ha difficoltà a muoversi in due(camera doppia con bagno privato) per fortuna avevamo due bagagli piccoli altrimenti non so come avremmo fatto. In bagno la pressione dell'acqua è davvero bassa infatti dal rubinetto del lavandino usciva appena il necessario per lavarsi le mani, e non è mai uscita calda, dalla doccia usciva acqua calda ma con un flusso molto "debole". Ogni volta che entravamo nella stanza c'era un odore strano. Migliorerei la pulizia iniziale sopratutto del bagno. Devo dire che le foto non rispecchiano molto la realtà della struttura che dal vivo sembra essere molto più datata e "spenta", infatti non nego che sono rimasta sorpresa. Nel complesso lo consiglio soprattutto per il prezzo e la posizione della struttura.
