A. E.Had a lovely afternoon tea with my friend. We had a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was very good. Would definitely recommend the afternoon teas to friends and family. Definitely be back again at some point.
S.🏍Biker🏍 Spent a night here in this gorgeous hotel. Staff are attentive and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The meal was delicious and very well presented. The room is beautiful with high ceilings (my weakness 🤣) bathroom was spacious and modern.
Definitely will be coming back again.
P. G.Went for my mother in law's 80th birthday. There was a party of 30 with an age range from 5 to 80. We were looked after very well and the buffet food was excellent. There's a well stocked bar with drinks ranging from soft drinks, spirits, beers through to coffee.
Several of the party stayed in the hotel rooms.
Plenty of parking right outside the door.
Located 5 minutes off the Leyland exit of the M6.

C.Mix up over virgin experience as it was up graded to champagne afternoon tea was a bit put off when was told the voucher was used which it hadn't in front if people the code was different good job we had email with the code on it sandwiches was nice a good choice but would of been nice if there was plane scones too

Monday to Friday a corporate breakfast is delivered to your room & consists of a choice of fillings; bacon & egg or sausage & egg baps with juice in a bag. Croissant & juice also available. Weekend breakfast; a delicious full english can be eaten in the restaurant or available served to your room at a time to suit.

Staff are helpful, polite and customer focused. Been there on a number of occasions for business meetings and overnight stays, much recommended.
J. V.We went for afternoon tea which was all we expected it to be. There had been a mix up over the booking. We were using a voucher given to us Christmas 2019 but had it postponed because of Covid, arranged a date but this was cancelled by hotel because of sickness in their kitchen and was told the next available date was 29th only when we checked they did not have our booking. However, they were able to accommodate us and a good time was had.

A. H.My Wife and I were at Farrington Lodge yesterday to attend the Wedding of our Good Friends. We had a Great Day despite the damp weather. The Staff were Very Friendly and Helpful, and the meals we had were Excellent, Well cooked and 'Piping Hot'!. Everything was organised 'like clockwork' so there were no mishaps.
The only 'downside' was that we drew some money out to pay for drinks etc, but we were told that they only accept credit card payments which we weren't aware of, and hadn't got the cards on us. Fortunately, as we only live about 10 miles from there, and were early for the ceremony, we got in the car and went home to pick up our cards and return in time for the start. I'm just mentioning this in case anyone else has issues with this. It was a bit of a nuisance, but didn't really detract from the Wonderful day we had as a whole!

K. S.Where do I start. We had our wedding here on 30th July 2021 and what an amazing, wonderful day from start to finish. We booked our wedding the previous July (2020) and Jennifer kept us up to date on all aspects of our day via emails or phone calls. On the day of our wedding Alison was our master of ceremony (who also spoke to us before the day). She made us feel special from the word go. She had everything organised for us and took all the worry out of our day so we could just enjoy ourselves. Absolutely everything was perfect. The WHOLE staff team were so professional yet friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The wedding breakfast was beautiful. Everything ran like clockwork from the start to finish. The way they decorated the room was beautiful/perfect. The DJ had the dance floor full from the very beginning of the night which just added to the brilliant atmosphere. We really couldn't have asked for more. The morning after all our wedding decorations were all placed together in a room for is to take with us when we were ready to leave. If anyone is considering Farington Lodge for their special day we couldn't recommend them highly enough.

The bar and restaurant was closed due to covid but they did deliver in from a local gadtro pub. I had 5 different meals and they were all nice.

L. G.We went here because we had an afternoon tea voucher as a gift and they accepted the voucher. Delicious afternoon tea in a good old fashioned dining room with courteous service. Very quiet. Waiter on hand but unobtrusive. The grounds were beautiful. It was October so the leaves were turning. A memorable visit.
K. A.We stayed 2 nights at Farington lodge as we were apart of a wedding party on Saturday.
Check in was quick and efficient. The room we stayed in was an executive room and we were very pleased with the size and layout of our room. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The shower was very very hot (on the coldest setting) so had to resort to using the bath instead.
On the Friday evening the staff was very accommodating and we enjoyed drinks in the guest bar.
The first morning breakfast wasn't the best as when we were seated the coffee had to be returned as it was brought out cold, other tables had the same experience. When we ordered the food it took 30min and the quality wasn't great. The bacon was very tough, no beans. Again other tables experienced this.
Throughout the wedding ceremony through to the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment the venue was fantastic. Again the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious and service was fantastic.
The final morning we were all served breakfast as a wedding party in a function room. This breakfast was perfect.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Farington and I would recommend as a wedding venue but also as a normal guest.
J. T.Thank you Farington Lodge staff for making my daughter's 40th birthday party so special. The food was excellent and staff anticipated such as a group photo and dietary requirements. The venue is fabulous and is handy for motorways.
M. W.We went here for a family get together. The place was lovely, the rooms huge and well furnished. The food was very good and the staff were lovely. We couldn't open the 'sash' window and called down to reception. Someone came up immediately and openef it. It looks like a sash window but isn't. Would be a good idea to have instructions in room! Lovely comfortable bar and good prices. Will definitely go again.

L. P.We had a really fantastic wedding at Farington. The service was excellent, and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day. We had many international guests who said that they really enjoyed the experience of an English wedding, and I am sure that Farington contributed to this significantly.
The whole day went very smoothly and successfully. I would just like to single out one aspect which I feel is particularly worth mentioning. In all our dealings with staff at the hotel, from the first visit, through to the wedding event, we have always been treated with courtesy, politeness and consideration. This was a major factor in making it a happy occasion.
Please pass on our thanks to management and staff for the kind and efficient way in which we were looked after.

P. s. L.It's a nice building with lovely grounds. But unfortunately there wasn't a warm room in the building. It's OK for a wedding venue but there needs to be some music in the bar, even if its not loud. The service was a bit slow and un organised in Co ordinating wedding guests. Over all its ok but it doesn't live up to its description or warrant the prices.
P. B.Went here for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room wasn't massive but it wasn't cramped either. With 83 guests during the day about 120 at night it never felt crowded. The staff was lovely and helpful. My only complaint is having to pay an extra £15 for a z bed. Bit extortionate. Apart from that it was Bob on

Had lovely sandwiches and amazing cakes and lots of tea and coffee all served by a very friendly helpful girl . Highly recommend . It was my birthday and I got a cake on a plate with happy birthday written in chocolate sauce .

The food is exceptional.
This hotel is sooooo dog friendly it offers private dining for those who attend with their 4 legged family members, Harrybeau was even brought sausages for breakfast, I really cannot fault the place.
H. G.Beautiful building sympathetically maintained to a very high standard. Well kept gardens and plush interior really transport you to another era. Lovely bar area and attentive staff, the only thing letting this venue down is the very average food.
R. S.Lovely traditional hotel set in large grounds. Our room is in the newer section of the hotel and is spacious and well equipped with everything you need. It would have been nice to have a king size bed as the room is big enough to accommodate one. Large bathroom with a great power shower. For breakfast there was fruit, cereals, pastries and the choice of several cooked options, all very nice. They even had gluten free rolls, bonus! Lovely short stay, would recommend if staying in the area.
M. C.Two great, quiet stays in this excellent, intimate non-chain hotel. Food here is great, the rooms are good in a traditional way and the garden terrace adds character. The staff are helpful at this little oasis of charm.
T. G.Attended a wedding here. Everyone was very attentive and eager to assist. Food was okay but nothing to shout about. The air conditioning was random you were either freezing or too hot but you can not please everyone as far as the heating goes.
A. F.Lovely staff and hotel but the food was a little underwhelming. Attended in a party of 17 for a set menu. Had soup to start which was lovely. Followed by roast beef with roasties, veg, pan juices and Yorkshire pudding. The beef and veg were lovely. My portion of roasties was also great however a fellow guests were cold and hard. The pan juices (basically gravy) were also very nice but there was nowhere near enough of them to make up for a dry and very disappointing Yorkshire pudding. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding which tasted a bit like burnt sugar and needed more ice-cream for the amount of cake there was.

R. B.I attended for a professional training course. The food and coffee were good. The venue was nice and tidy. That staff were quite miserable which is surprising considering their job was quite laid back and my colleagues all very courteous.
m. o.Christmas do We attended our works do and it was ok. Only ok unfortunately. The food was really pedestrian for £30 a head, ok stater, boring main and awful desert. Disco and quiz were a laugh, there seemed to be two events on and people drifted between the two. Staff were pleasant despite the provocation of some seriously drunk office types. Setting is nice, I imagine for a wedding or some such thing it would be lovely, assuming the food was up to scratch for such an event of course

R.I would've never of know about this place if it wasn't for my parents oving next door to here. It is a very grand building set in lovely grounds.
We visited on a Sunday for lunch. On arrival the bar area felt a little unwelcoming but once we all got together this wasn't really an issue.
We were seated in our own private dining room with a gigantic table in the middle...you could probably fit about 25 people around it!
The food was excellent, especially for what the price is. £21 for a 3 course meal is great value in my opinion. The Caesar sald starter was very tasty with just the right amount of sauce unlike some i've had where they drecnh it in the stuff...
The main course I had was spicy chicken served with cous cous which was excellent. A side of peppers and onions finished the dish of brilliantly.
The pudding was the highlight for me though. My favourite - sticky toffee pudding served with ice cream. It was lovely and mosit with little pieces of toffee. very tasty. Overall a pleasant meal and would definately return for sunday lunch.

S. A.Stayed here a few times in a few different room. Stayed last time in room 25, but the shower doesnt work properly (its freezing, the door is broken and the shower head drips continuously), the main door handle is broken on the outside and the door doesnt open or close wothout slamming, and the rrom is freezing. This is typical every time I stay, which is for work.
The evening food is not really that good. Burgers are over cooked, fish and chips are over cooked, the curry has far too much salt and overall you kinda know before you order, its going to be average at best.
The breakfast is nice though.
The stafg are nice and friendly, very helpful, and a lovely location.
If they can sort out the rooms and food, this would be a great place
J. B.Attended a wedding here recently. No real complaints apart from the price of drinks from the bar. £4 is very expensive for a pint. Maybe if they lowered these a bit they would make more money as quite a few guests had their own bar in the boot of their car... oh well Cest la vie.

M. M.Popped in for lunch on a rare sunny spring day. We sat outside in the sun. We ordered 6x tapas and the sandwiches. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The food was tasty, but we had to wait more 40 mins before any food arrived, it was about 1pmish. They brought the warm Tapas together with the sandwiches all at the same time, so the sandwich bread became dry in the sun whilst we were eating our Tapas, would have like to have had the Tapas first and the sandwiches later. That being said, the food was tasty and plentiful, big portions, loads of sandwiches, I had salmon and cream cheese, mum had the beef - we really should have only ordered the Tapas or the sandwiches, not both. It is though a beautiful building/hotel with a deep rooted history in Leyland and should be experienced more often.
