I stayed here on Saturday 22nd January 2021 for one night with a coach party. The staff were friendly, accommodating and very professional. We were provided with a very adequate 3 course meal which everyone enjoyed. The rooms were warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean and furnished to a good standard. Excellent shower and scrupulously clean bathroom. Breakfast was good, and got us off to a great start before checking out.

I stay here a few times each year (so long as the Government/Covid allows) to break a journey to visit my parents. Great location just by the M6 and also close to the village of Bamber Bridge with a good pub to visit. Staff always friendly. Always clean. Really good shower. A slightly larger double bed would be nice!

Very easy to find off the motorway. Clean and spacious. Easy check in and out. Nice room and bathroom. Very reasonable price. Was easy to book over the phone with the hotel and ask for ground floor room. Food was ok. Not many staff but …

We missed the first turning into this holiday inn and had to go around the industrial estate and turn in again. There is a large carpark which was quiet during our visit. We only saw a couple of members of staff during our 2 day stay. The walls are quite thin but we didn't experience any problems with noise. The room was very basic but clean although we found the pillows quite hard and the sofa bed wasn't especially comfortable. The best feature was without doubt the shower which was powerful, nice and hot was in a large shower tray with glass doors.

Stopped here on a journey south and again on the way home. Great location for this purpose as its just off the motorway. There is an Asda superstore about a mile from the hotel where you buy anything you need and also fuel up at real prices and not the inflated motorway prices. The reception area is big, light and airy. There's free car parking in the hotel grounds. Just register your car on check in. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a nice shower room. There's a TV, tea making facilities, free WiFi and a hairdryer in the rooms. Breakfast is included in the price and is a help yourself buffet and has cold and hot food like cereal, eggs, bacon etc. Excellent hotel for a stopover especially at the price. I do this journey a few times a year to visit family and will definitely use this hotel again. Recommended.

Clean hotel, rooms very big and shower was amazing. The restaurant food was not enjoyable so I ended up eating somewhere else the second night. Took ages to get served at the bar as nobody was around. I was using this hotel as I was staying away for work and it was convenient. Would stay again as the room was fine but wouldnt eat there again.

We were staying here to see if the hotel was a good fit for regular stop off when travelling into England.
We had purchased the room as a rewards night as an IHG member. …

The room was comfortable and the whole hotel was very clean. Staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, the breakfast let things down a little. The milk in the chilled dispenser was off, there were no pastries and we had to ask twice for food …

The bathroom and carpet in the room needed addressing and the bed was a small double. Match these things will small portion sizes at dinner and my card being charged on check in and not departure and you can definitely understand why the …

Hotel was clean and our room spacious. We loved the modern bathroom.
Sleep quality was bad as we could hear every voice and toilet trip from the rooms next door and above …

Could not fault the friendly staff, great breakfast and a well stocked bar. Adequate menu for a meal. Where it feĺl down was, the card holder for the light switch in our room was faulty, the shower hose was leaking but I think what put me off was the black mold at the bottom of the shower curtain. Hopefully on my next visit this will be taken care of.

Travelling to visit family in London and decided to split journey to arrive earlier next day. This hotel was halfway and very close to M6, although there was no sound from it. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to stop. The room was …

Easy to find and easy in and out at the edge of M6 J29. Large clean room with excellent bathroom shower. We booked a double-room via Expedio (£64). Clean hallways and lounge with a good bar. Helpful friendly staff and pretty good evening meals as well. Breakfast also pretty good, coffee, tea, water, juices, cereal, toast, tomatoes, sausages, scrambled egg, beans, fruit. Easy parking as well. Would stay again, no issues.

I love the Holiday Inn Express chain with breakfast included and free WiFi. It’s usually remarkably good value and Preston was no exception. I think the reception and bar service was very cheerful and friendly. The bathroom was a good size …

I have stayed here previously and stay in many Holiday Inns as I travel with my dog and it is a pet friendly chain. Ludo very much likes his hotel stays! I had requested a twin room and was given a double which was disappointing but not …

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and never been disappointed. The hotel is clean and comfortable throughout. It has a large car park and has plenty of grassy areas around it which our dog appreciated! The staff are always friendly and it is very easy to relax.

travelling from the South of England to the North of Scotland is always a tough drive. Being able to stop half way and be safe in the knowledge of what to expect - cleanliness, friendly staff and most important - efficiency. This hotel tops it all. Great on all counts.

Very nice and clean rooms, very good night sleep after all day working on site. Only the food didn't match my taste. In my opinion, dinner menu very limited and not too much to choose at breakfast too. Overall happy with stay anyway.

The Hotel was quiet. Bar not opening until 4pm in afternoon and closing at 11pm.
Breakfast was a bit poor on the Sunday morning, where people had to wait on Cups …

Stayed here overnight with the family when driving up to Scotland. We had 2 rooms next door to each other on the ground floor. Both rooms were immaculate and decked out with everything you need; towels, shampoo, tea and coffee with a kettle.
The TV was a little strange as initially when turning it on the screen will say no signal to which you then would pick a different channel and the TV would work, it was easy to figure out but its an easy miss.
The beds were extremely comfortable, and the pillows were soft, not your usual flat deflated fabric kind. They were puffy and supported your head as you melted into the covers.
The showers are amazing. Temperature wasn't fiddly and the power of the shower is adjustable to your own liking.
Breakfast was your usual continental. They had beans, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, cereal, pastry, and many drink choices on the coffee and juice machines.
I would definately recommend this establishment to anyone whose there to stay the night or two, but I do recommend you have a car to do so as there is a lack of anything within the area to access on foot.

Warm welcome and very impressed with care and attention provided by staff. All very young and performing multiple roles but pleasure to deal with. Should be proud of the service they are providing. Very accommodating to our companion doggy who accompanies us. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing.

staff were professional polite and extremely helpful.
The hotel lobby was spotless as was both the bathroom and the bedroom.
Breakfast was self service but the range and variety were very good

We stayed for 2 nights with our two small dogs. The room was clean, fresh, and comfortable. We have stayed at other pet friendly hotels and have endured the smell of dog urine as previous occupants have obviously had accidents however we …

We have stayed there for one night, the room was clean, comfortable bed, good shower. Breakfast was ok. There was a background noise (probably aircon next door) all night in room 007, could have asked to move but couldn’t be bothered after a long day. I would stay again, but would certainly ask for a quiet room!
A.
Lovely and clean throughout the hotel. Choice of pillows. Comfy bed. Good WiFi and excellent choice at breakfast. Super large fluffy towels. Highly recommend and dogs welcome.

The hotel was a great welcome after a long drive.
The staff where very friendly and professional.

Been regularly staying here for years now and it’s always the same, clean and quiet rooms with comfortable bed and good shower. A/C makes the hot nights bearable too. Staff are always polite and welcoming. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Compared to other Holiday Inn Express establishments, in which we've stayed, Preston- South we found to be very disappointing. A cold room, no food on site for evening meal. There was a very poor choice of takeaway available. Despite these failings, the staff were attentive and effective. The breakfast was the saving grace.

The hotel and rooms are lovely however, you are unable to get a drink before 4pm even if a resident and no food available not even snacks before 6pm. This caused me problems as I am diabetic so had to leave the hotel in search of food. I am disabled and walk with crutches so breakfast was a problem when I asked for help I was totally ignored so another guest who thought the staff attitude was disgusting got up to help me. I have never come across these problems before at a holiday inn even in Rome and I have been a member since 2003 This is a good hotel spoiled.

the put down bed for the third adult was very uncomfortable and dipped in the middle.
No sky sports in the main area and poor selection of beers. …

A friendly well positioned hotel, surprise that evening menu was available if not slightly basic a nightly special would have been good, beds are small for the taller / bigger person, breakfast is basic, but plentiful a variety of eggs would be great, all in all an enjoyable stay.

Great place to break a journey, conveniently close to M6 and M65. Good room, lovely breakfast, but this is an open breakfast so watch out when handling the utensils that every body else has touched, Use a tissue and sanitise hands again before eating.

First time to stay at Holiday Inn Express Preston South. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and spacious room. Very well equipped shower cube and toilet. A pity the restaurant isn’t fully operate, but buffet breakfast was still available on a pre-order basis. Overall, a happy stay, will consider coming back.

Ideal for breaking up a long journey down the M6 being located close by. The hotel is very clean and the staff friendly.
Breakfast croissants were not as good as my last visit, but other than that all very much as expected for a Holiday Inn Express.

This is a really great hotel for budget travellers. It was extremely clean and looked newly-refurbished. The family rooms were large and absolutely great value for money. Having previously stayed I the two other budget hotels in the immediate vicinity, we’ll definitely be choosing this one again.
