P. P.It’s located just outside of Preston town. With ample parking space and set at lovely building’s. The decor is modern and sleek.
The Manager is helpful and friendly during our check in and booked us for dinner.
The rooms is clean and spacious with all amenities available.
Dinner at the restaurant was excellent as we were checked on often providing great service by the team of staff Steward, Liz and Zack. All the dishes was freshly prepared, well presented and delicious.
The next morning continental breakfast was sent to our room.
Only complaint is - We were awaken by some people in the middle of the night closing doors and chatting g loudly and it’s not the fault of the hotel just some inconsiderate people after a night out.
Overall is a great stay and would recommend to friends & family or anyone in the area to give it a try to experience the hospitality of the staff there.

WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE HIGH STANDARD OF THIS HOTEL - EVERYWHERE WAS IMMACULATE, THE ROOM WAS REALLY LOVELY - HUGE COMFY BED, EVEN HAD A LITTLE COFFEE MACHINE IN THE ROOM! WHAT STOOD OUT THE MOST WAS THE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE WE RECEIVED FROM THE STAFF, FROM STEVEN (FRONT OF HOUSE) TO ELIZABETH OUR WAITRESS - NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE AND EVERYONE WE DEALT WITH WERE REALLY PLEASANT AND FRIENDLY - EVEN THE HANDYMAN WHO GAVE US ADVICE FOR SOMEWHERE TO GO FOR LUNCH. NOT SET IN THE BEST LOCATION BUT ONLY A SHORT DRIVE OUT TO A LOVELY LOCAL PUB FOR LUNCH OR JUST SIT IN THE SPACIOUS BAR AND WATCH THE WORLD GO BY. WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK AND RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS.

T. H.Great hotel. We come to this area a lot an have tried most of the nice hotels around. This is as good as any classy hotel in the area with an awesome restaurant. In fact, we liked it SO much over Christmas that we are returning tonight for 3 more nights (Jan 2-5) before we fly back to the USA. Highly recommended!

r. w.Pretty good hotel just off the motorway (m6), the hotel has had a recent make over, the rooms are good and the food is good, the staff are helpful and friendly. There is a helipad at the back, two helicopter left whilst I was last there. There is a large car park.

A. B.Stayed for a couple of days at this first class hotel. The rooms are wonderful with plenty of room. All that you need is in the room even down to an iron and ironing board. The meals were also first class and the staff very friendly. I for one would strongly recommend this to anybody and will be staying there again if passing this way again

S. S.OMD it was like the film Cacoon. Full of oldies on a coach trip from Essex. But there was a charity party going on, not related to the oldies, and that room used looked very nice. Worth a look for your business event or awards ceremony. Rooms are basic but serviceable. Recommend Subway and Greggs across the road for emergency munchies.

We've been several times for food in both the bar & restaurant and every time it's been great. The prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. The hotel clearly prides itself on customer excellence and it shows - never a grumpy face and everyone is so accomdating. If anyone needs an example on how a hotel should be run - this is the place!
J. M.I stay here quite often and really like the hotel, however on this occasion a couple of things bothered me. Firstly as it was nice weather I was sitting in the beer garden but had to go inside because of smokers, there really should be a separate beer garden for non smokers and secondly there was a lot of banging of doors in the early hours of the morning

Clean, everything in its correct place and the room was very well set out and the bathroom was very nice.. the shower was a particular highlight (people at the business meeting said they liked the shower) Room service provided. Continental breakfast was very good, aswell as the evening meal. I had a burger with sweet potato fries which is always a winner if done right, which it was. The staff very friendly, bar staff talkative and helpful with meals. All in all a very nice hotel.

I drove up and down the road 3 times before I found it! It would benefit from better signage and checking with Google it gives the right directions.

l. b.Had several conferences here. The food is great and the staff are brilliant, replenishing the food etc without hassle. Good value venue and has a good atmosphere for medium corporate gatherings in the annex. The bar is good as a break out area and for ad hoc meetings.

C. P.Had a group booking for a Christmas meal. The food was lovely in every way, and we also used a board room for our afternoon speaker.
If you can't manage stairs very well, just a note that the board room we used was in the middle of the floors that the lift stopped at, ultimately we still had to either walk up or down some stairs, depending what floor you got out of.
But the staff were very professional and looked after us very well throughout the day. I would definitely visit again.

L. C.Easy location to find, the staff are helpful and welcoming. The room is a good size and lovely views from it. There is little road noise with the windows open.
Down side shower head is a bit knackered no idea if this will change with the renovations.
They had a coach party in and was warned service might be slow. I ordered a sandwich and after 50 mins one finally appeared. To be wrong flavour. I didn't expect a sandwich to take that long.
Overall one I'd use again but eat elsewhere.

M. S.I stayed here for one night whilst I was at a meeting and this was not quite what I had expected! It's located at a traffic junction - so at least it's easy to get out of the car park, but it can't win awards for a scenic location. There's a car park at the side near the function room (where I parked) and there seems to be another close to reception although I don't know how to get to it by following the car park directions. The decoration in the place is really nice (not just the stuff for Christmas which you will see on my photos) and everything looks to have a high specification finish. But the bedroom was really small. There is maybe a two foot clearance around each side of the bed. I have put my cabin suitcase on the floor for comparison purposes on one image. There was no where to put a suitcase to keep it out of the way. The room had limited plugs, so once my computer was plugged in to work, I could not charge a phone or make a cup of tea, unless I wanted to use the plug near the floor under the wall mounted TV. The plug for the clock radio was a round pin socket. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special, with a good range of juices and pastries. Reception check in was at a table, but since the staff were standing around different sides of the table, it wasn't clear if it was self check in or wait to be spoken to. I did the latter and it seemed that was the right approach. Overall, I would say it was good place to meet people, but maybe not to stay overnight.

P. W.My wife and i stayed overnight on 24/25 july and found it to be a lovely and modern hotel. We too had a voucher and the weekend was paid for but by no means were we treated less fairly than full paying guests. On arrival we found an unusual style of reception desk as in it was more of a large table but that must be just the way this hotel operates and certainly made it more customer friendly.
The room was also modern but a expresso coffee machine was a really unneeded challenge. Free wi-fi was also a very big plus as other hotels charge for this service. The bed was very comfy and very clean.
The restaurant staff at both our afternoon tea and evening meal were more than helpful but in no way intrusive. The food was plentiful and also hot,which is not the case in other hotels. As i said before we had a voucher so paid less than we could have for a quality dining experience.
The buffet breakfast was of equal standard with every breakfast meal option covered.
I would fully recommend this hotel to anyone. With friendly,helpful staff,beautiful food and lovely room we were more than satisfied with what the salmesbury hotel had to offer.

s. a.My husband booked this as a surprise for me. He took me for afternoon tea. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Cannot fault the staff.
But the food let it down.
The food comprised of an extremely small crunchy scone, (not fresh in my opinion) jam and clotted cream. 3 cakes, carrot cake(very stodgy), chocolate fudge cake(was like a rock), millionaires shortbread of which had a film of plastic under both pieces of them. (Like it was shop bought). And the sandwiches were very bland, and basic, I mean egg mayonnaise, tuna mayonnaise, ham and tomato and cheese I think the 4th one was. That exciting I can't remember.! Been to lots of afternoon teas over the years and this was by far the most disappointing.
We will not be returning....!

There were 2 sets of toilets and at the beginning of an event, there were some toilets without loo paper, empty tissue boxes, no hand dryers worked. Also no checks throughout the day and night by staff. Guests had to keep telling staff about the lack of loo paper. Not what I expect from a best western hotel.

P. M.A pleasant and rather pretty hotel, decorated well. Rooms are comfortable, bedding seems decent and my room had a large square showerhead (rain?) As well as a regular one attached in the bathroom. Good water pressure and plenty space to clean off in. TV in the room with free view which was pleasant - screen is at least a 27". No alarm clock but most folk tend to use their phones now so that isn't a negative.
Room service options detailed on that menu are rather steep in price and all come with a £5 surcharge on their price. Drinks I shall summarise with the following - Gordon's +tonic and a Stella - £10. Did have a point where I got a trainee member of staff on the bar who took a few minutes to find a bottle opener and then poured a 3/4 measure of gin.
Staff were pleasant and helpful during the function that we attended. Breakfast is buffet style and includes all of your fry-up components as well as coffee, tea, cereal, small pastries and fruit with yogurt.
The hotel is just off of a busy road and has a petrol station across the 4 lanes from it. Useful to get cash but doesn't sell alcohol.
Our meal during the wedding was enjoyable, swiftly shipped out to everyone at the tables and cleared away in neat fashion.
Internet access is offered in the form of an unsecured network with a TS+Cs email address form.

Ample free parking, excellent check in staff, compact but we'll designed rooms, only the en-suite let the side down, the shower flooded the floor far too easily and the toilet overflowed noisily for some time.
The food here, both breakfast and dinner, is very good indeed and the service friendly and professional.
All in all a very good choice primarily for the business traveller, but suitable too for a weekend leasure break.
M. W.Pleasant stay staff had to cope with a lose of power and WiFi due to a storm. Only the room master keys were working. The staff did a Stirling job under the circumstances and remained polite and professional at all times. So weldone and thanks. We ate at the hotel and the spare ribs were great. Again great service and the waiter had a great sense of humour and made us laugh. Room was very clean and comfortable will go back.
