Our open fire chimney had not been cleaned for a long time and Dusty Sweeps did a first class job, taking just under an hour. The fireplace and hearth were left very clean and the room afterwards was also very clean showing no evidence of soot. He warned us of clearing out nesting material and the possibility of future jackdaws' nests. He forwarded the 'Sweep Safe' Certificate on completion. Thank you .

A professional experience from start to finish with a focus on providing a quality service without compromising on your safety both in regards to fire safety, double checking just to be sure as he has not worked on our chimney before, and covid. Dusty ended up putting a camera into the flew as the configuration was a little atypical. Turns out it's all ok and safe to use and he has issued us a certificate for the works. What's more Dusty found a brush left in the chimney by a previous sweep... Obviously they were not as good as Dusty is. Same time next year please.

Dusty is always on time and does a high quality professional clean. He goes to great lengths to insure there is no mess. On the last visit he replaced and repainted some crumbling fire putty between the stove and flu, all as part of the service. He has well thought out covid procedures to keep himself and clients safe. Sadly we've moved house and no longer have a wood burning stove and not longer need Dusty's services, but we can't recommend him enough, we've used him for many years and will call him again of ever our circumstances change. Had a recommendation from a friend to use Dusty for my chimney cleaning. Had to wait nearly three months for the first available slot and it was well worth the wait. Are is extremely professional and I am delighted with the work Dusty has done. Yesterday, the chimney got its first proper sweep in twelve years. A bucket full of sooty deposits and creosote has been removed. As the fire is not frequently lit, I had assumed regular cleaning was not required. How wrong I was! ...The fusty smell in our sitting room has disappeared, (I did not know the sooty chimney was the source of the smell and had been buying air-fresheners to overcome it). I learnt a lot about the importance of an annual chimney clean/sweep for health and safety, but most importantly the avoidance of chimney fires. In particular, I have ordered 2 new Carbon Monoxide detectors as Dusty explained how important these safety devices are. They will be fitted today! For as long as I will be living in this house, Dusty will be cleaning the chimney annually. Thanks very much for a great job.
