The Solar People installed our solar panel system a few weeks ago, and we are really pleased with the outcome. The panels are working well, and we are able to monitor how much electricity they are generating via an app. The Solar People also keep an eye on things remotely to ensure that everything is working well, for added peace of mind. My only comment would be that their communication could have been better, particularly in the time between ordering the system and having it installed. We needed to chase them up to find out when they were coming to do the installation, and sometimes they didn’t return our calls. This made us a little anxious as we had already paid our deposit by this time. However, they were clearly getting on with things behind the scenes despite the fact that they weren’t keeping us informed, just extremely busy. The after-sales service has been excellent though. They have taken the time to talk me through the process of registering the warranty online and getting set up with the Export Guarantee with the utility company, which has been invaluable. My overall impression of the company is that they care about their customers and want to ensure that we are happy with what we have bought. The system is functioning as it should, and they have provided excellent value for money. Thank you so much Andy.

This was a great company to work with during a very difficult time in the solar industry. The finished project is very good and I would return to them should I need any further equipment. There were some faults but all resolved without fuss. Their proactive communication could be better but I know how stretched they were at times. They have done what they committed to and kept a friendly approach.

Outstanding service. The Solar People team have done an amazing job with our Solar PV and Battery Storage. From the design to the installation we have been very well looked after. Our system has been installed for over a month now and we have seen a huge difference in our electricity bill, dropping from £165 a month (£2,000 a year) to less than £25 a month, estimating an annual bill of £300 which is 85% less than it used to be. We of course faced multiple delays due to the shortage in micro inverters and fitting gear but Andrew Duffin always kept us up to date. Alone with being completely transparent and honest. I’ve already recommended The Solar People to 2 friends and one family member. If I had to extend or upgrade my system in the future I will definitely come back to them. I hope this helps anyone out there looking for a Solar PV and/or Battery Storage.

Following a (dumb) decision to believe a salesman from "another company", my wife and I ended up with a loan a total of £17,500 for £12,500 of panels and battery system. Why? Because of those magic words "self-funding". In fact we were told "self funding within the (10 year) term of the loan". Dumb. Feeling like the fool, I contacted Andy at The Solar People and got the best, most informed, straight talking advice, knowledge and insight I could ever have hoped for. I can say that because Andy could tell me what we'd been told during the sales pitch before I told him. He knows stuff. If you want to go with a solar system for home, these guys do actually know what they're talking about. I'm grateful.

Having decided that I wished to install a storage battery, by chance I clicked on “The Solar People”. I spoke to Andy on the phone who was extremely helpful and gave me very good advice with a recommendation of Alpha Batteries. He came across as someone who knew his products and fully understood my requirements. Straight talking, no sales pitch, and no waffle. A site visit was arranged and I was immediately given a fitting date 3 weeks later. Batteries duly arrived and were fitted on schedule by a 2 man team, again both very efficient and helpful. The following morning I was contacted by Andy to check all was okay, I emailed back with a couple of questions relating to the App. Andy then phoned me back within minutes to clarify my queries. Excellent service! Fully recommend the Solar People to anyone thinking of installing storage Batteries.

We opted to use The Solar People based not on price but on the fact that they clearly explained the differences and benefits of the options available. When it came to the installation, the team were tremendous. They were punctual, courteous, helpful and tidy. Lighting Group have just installed some solar panels and batteries at our house. The electrician and roofers were very efficient, they answered all my queries and were very friendly. Andrew has been very pleasant and helpful over the phone and by email. I don't expect we'll see the full benefit of the panels and batteries over the winter period but Mark the electrician has said he will keep an eye on our electric consumption/production over the coming weeks to ensure we are getting as much out of the installation as possible. All in all a good service from the Solar People.

Thoroughly recommend Lighting Group who designed and installed 15 panel plus battery system back in darkest December. Already performing better than anticipated leaving me dreaming up ways of using surplus production come the summer months! One year on and if I could give Light Group Holdings 6 stars I would! Not only did I get a great installation and totally honest advice. Nothing has been too much trouble. If you want a company who know what they are talking about and tell you as it is, then look no further. In the last year my electricity bills have dropped to a quarter of what they were before. To whom it may concern We could not in our opinion have made a better choice if we'd tried, than selecting TheSolarPeople as suppliers of our new solar system. Call it good luck if you like, but the installed Enphase system has exceeded our expectations in every way. Customer care has been excellent through from first contact with Julia, the sale process with Matthew and throughout, the personal calls to clarify and reassure from MD Andrew Duffin. The installation was completed ahead of schedule with two half day visits. First by the fitter Scott - and my, don't those black panels look smart on the roof Scott! - followed the next morning by Steve the electrician to wire up the Envoy Hardwear and believe it or not, almost immediately could see our system and track its output, performance and more via the Enlighten software. Even now, when we are out and about we are able to monitor our system via an app on the mobile phone. The paperwork and certificates are all handled by the company, along with 10 years of 24/7 tracking for problems by the office and all backed by amazingly long guarantees. We feel we are getting the Rolls Royce of current solar technology at a price that does not make the eyes water!!! Contacted The Solar People when considering battery storage and spoke with Andrew Duffin. I have to say from the very first discussions with Andy I was sure these were the people to do business with. All my questions were answered honestly and the advise given on a suitable system was spot on, no pressure to over sell me something. Andy & the team from the get go were super honest & efficient. Super competitive on price we opted for a Enphase micro inverter system & an AC coupled Alpha Battery Storage system which looks on par with Tesla! The installers were super polite, fast & efficient & left site really tidy. Its nice to see people take pride in what they do. If you’re reading this post please read it all, it may save you money and a lot of pain. When I started I was a PV virgin but new it was something I wanted so I looked on the internet and was confronted with pages of Solar Companies that all looked great and promised the earth, so my first dilemma was which company should I pick? and this is where it all gets very interesting; I picked another company (not The Solar People, Light Group) to fit my Solar panels and that company did a terrible job, the kit was good but the fitters didn’t have the first clue how to fit them but luckily I had been in the building trade for over thirty years, that and YouTube saved the day and in the end I got a job I was happy with. It all ended up working so well that I decided to add battery back up and found The Solar People but as you can guess I was weary this time and asked loads of questions before committing which were all answered fully but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. On the day of fitting they came on time with all the kit in the van and did a wonderful job I couldn’t fault the quality of work or the kit and trust me that’s not something I say often. My only regret is that I didn’t get The Solar People from the start to fit all my Solar but my loss can be your gain. They know what they’re doing and they do it well and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Very rarely, if ever, have I awarded a company top marks. I have no hesitation in doing so for Light Group Holdings. The installation of a Lux Energy Solar Power storage system to back up our existing solar panels was excellent from start to completion. The sales pitch wasn't hyped, the facts of the system spoke for themselves. The estimate was the best we got, £200 less than the next nearest, and for 2 OAPs £200 is worth saving! The time estimate was adhered to, the installation electrician was polite, friendly, on time, answered all my questions, did a very neat job and when a minor fault in the equipment was realised he got on to the supplier and a replacement component arrived the next day - a Saturday. He offered to come to complete the job on the Sunday! We didn't take up his kind offer, but on Monday everything was completed and is functioning as well , if not better, than we could have hoped for. We were not even charged for an optional extra which we decided to go for at the last minute. Well done Light Group Holdings.

I first started dealing with Andy and The Solar People about 2years ago I already had a 2.86kw system in place for November 2011 and wanted to get more effciency I contacted The Solar People via a ad somewhere, after listening to my needs and wants andy recommended installing Solar edge Optimisers and to start a battery storage system so we had the optimisers installed along with 4 Pylontech batteries giving 9.6kws in total Tom the fitter who Andy sent was first class and very knowledgeable I have since had 4 more batteries giving 19.2 Kws storage I am nearly at self sufficiency one more piece of the puzzle is the installation of a Wind Turbine which should cover my base load. Throughout the journey Andy and The Solar People have been at my side with advise and support and i cannot recommend and thank them enough

When quoting & installing nothing is too much trouble and I found them all to be wonderful people. However, after sales service and customer service in general does not exist. If there is no revenue involved forget it, you will never get answers by phone, text or email.

Wow it’s been 5 months since installation of inverter 7 months in total from start to finish and still no completion paperwork or certificates. No replies to emails, customer aftercare is nonexistent. Thank you for getting in touch Andy, appreciate the fast response over the festive period.
