Fantastic professional service yet again from initial visit to the showroom in Syston to installation.This is our second purchase for our new home and it really is a great investment, adding real value to our home and a focal point in our lounge. We were looking for a fireplace for our new home after a year of researching and shopping we stumbled on Evans fireplace. We took a drive over and found different combinations to look at and after talking to the staff picked a combination we liked. We selected a time for the chimney to be checked and sorted an install date. The install went smoothly two guys turned up covered the room with dust covers and got to work, it took 6 hours to install and we are both happy with the process start to finish. It looks beautiful in our lounge. Staff were informative, friendly and helpful with all our questions as we live in a smokeless area and had never had a stove before.

I would definitely recommend Evans for anyone looking for a fire. I was given excellent advice when I visited the fireplace centre and the fitting of my chosen stove was arranged very promptly. The team who fitted the stove were very pleasant and courteous and cleaned up after themselves really well. The owner Bill Evans immediately struck me as genuine, knowledgeable and hugely experienced in this field. Plus the installation team were superb. We are very pleased indeed with the result. Excellent from start to finish. Immediately on entering the showroom we were warmly greeted by Bill Evans the owner of the company. He shared his expertise and vast knowledge on fires, stoves, surrounds and fuel and was a great help in helping us pick exactly what we required. We went for a natural limestone surround, which is quarried in Spain, inlayed with slate strip tiles and a nice slate hearth. We also chose a multi-fuel stove in which we could use logs, coals or both as required. Our new fire and surround were fitted the next week, removing the old fire, knocking out the inner chimney breast and rebuilding it to accommodate our new stove and stone surround. Mant and his brother did a brilliant job when they came to our house to do the fitting, very polite, efficient and tidy, cleaning up all of their mess as they went along. Our new set up is a lovely focal piece in our living room and my wife is chuffed to bits with it. Bill and his team set the standards. I personally found Bill fascinating, he tells a great story and i could listen to him all day. Also as soon as you walk into the shop your nostrils are filled with the pleasant smell of Citronella, on essential oil on an oil burner. We now have this in our house too and it fills the room with it’s aroma. So to wrap this review up, Thanks to Bill and the lads, you did a great job and we are glad we found you.

So I have been shopping around in the Leicester area for a log burner. Now most retailers are just too busy and cannot install until after 4 weeks. Yes frustrating!. So I look up and see Evans fireplace. I went to the shop, small but still able to cater for my needs. I spoke to the Owner Bill, what’s a brilliant gentleman. Great customer rapport and down to earth. The best thing about him is his honesty, to bone. Can’t thanks him and his team enough for a great job, and most of all he’s very transparent. So there’s a saying ‘he won’t give a pound if you don’t need it but will give you a penny cause it’s worth. In a bit shell he’s not one to rip you off. Keep up the good work and I’ll be recommending you to anyone who wants a log burner or fireplace etc.

The after sales service and support simply checking if we were still happy was very traditional and certainly not that usual these days. Excellent product and service. We selected Evans Fireplaces because of the expertise Bill Evans showed and his knowledge. Installing a wood/coal fireplace isn't just about cost. Bill knew his stuff, made bespoke recommendations relating to our specific house and did not recommend the most expensive product. Bill was excellent, the service superb, the fitters were prompt, tidy and efficient and did a great job. You are effectively investing in your property when choosing a fireplace and we are delighted with the whole process and so glad we used an experienced professional. (Regarding the comment below relating to a £50 advice fee - yes we paid it and yes it was worth it. If you can't afford to pay £50 for initial advice - which was deducted from the final invoice - then I doubt you should even bother considering a new Fireplace).

Having wanted a log burner for a while we went to a few local fireplace shops in the area to compare and gather information. I can’t rate highly enough Evans Fireplaces, Bill is by far the most knowledgeable, honest and genuine guy we met during our search for the perfect log burner. Bill knows fireplaces inside out and gives you an honest review for what your after and was never pushy. He spent a lot of time with us while in the shop going to the effort of showing us how to light the log burner and clean it ect. Everything down to the fitting was spot on, Evans was by far the best shop we found for proffesionalism, knowledge, friendliness and honesty. Very good range of fireplaces and fires. Owner was knowledgeable and helpful - took the time to visit our house and then (to our surprise) recommended a fireplace we didn't think would be right. We bought a wood burner in another store, we were looking for accessories to go with the new wood burner. After searching in internet, we found Evans Fireplace Center. As soon we entered the shop, we were greeted by the owner Mr.Evans, showed us a lot range of tools, wood store unit supplies ,as lighters, cleaning materials and finally gave us a demostration on how to light the wood burner as we were novices.
