SDB installed a new system boiler, unvented cylinder and NEST thermostat for me in December 2018. I had several offers from local companies and I talked with all of them to get a feel for the level of technical know-how and detail in their quotes. From a very early stage I felt Sam offered considerably more technical insight which was then combined with a fully detailed quote covering the supply and installation of the new boiler and cylinder. Not only that but follow-up conversations around certain options were never too much trouble. On the flip side I am sure he wont mind me saying that he might just talk a bit “too” much but I put that down to the passion and knowledge he has for his job. Having agreed the scope and the price we fixed a date for installation but unfortunately this had to be re-arranged, this was not a big deal and the important thing was pro-active communication from Sam to explain the situation and we made new arrangements. Once Sam and the team got to work on the installation I was impressed by his work ethic whilst he still made time to talk through each major step and check certain details before proceeding. There were some mornings where he may not have started as early as expected but this really didn’t affect the overall performance and you can be sure if he says he will do something then it will be done. On the whole I was really pleased with the workmanship, diligence, work ethic, detailed explanations and care taken around the house during the work. Bottom line Sam will listen to what you want, provide advice and options which is not limited to certain brands to end up with what you need. Most importantly SDB Plumbing can perform the job to a high standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sam and SDB Plumbing.

We have recently moved back home to Stoke on Trent from North Wales. One of the best decisions we made was to engage SDB to carry out some plumbing works. They completed our pre-purchase gas and electric safety inspections promptly and efficiently. Once we moved in Sam and his team really did a fantastic job with nothing too much trouble for them. The day after we moved in Sam called round to make sure our washing machine was plumbed in right and working OK. Over the coming weeks as we settled in SDB then went on to carry out various jobs that we wanted completing. Fitting an outside tap in the garage, replacing the old less efficient boiler and various other smaller jobs. All the work was completed promptly, to a first class standard, at the agreed times and to our total satisfaction. The quotes were excellent and always self explanatory. Sam's depth of knowledge of his business and his product knowledge is first rate and he always took the time to explain how things were being done and how controls etc functioned. We would have no hesitation at all in recommending SDB for all plumbing works and we would definitely engage SDB ourselves for all and any future plumbing works we needed completing.

We've used SDB a few times now and have never been disappointed. We've had 3 new boilers installed over the years, at different properties, and each time we were very pleased with the results. Most recently we moved house and the existing boiler packed up. Sam came and gave us several different options for new boilers with a range of benefits. Once we'd chosen he made sure he fitted our new boiler as soon as possible (it was winter and we had no heating!). To say the say the installation left by the previous owners was a mess is an understatement!! Sam worked tirelessly is make sure our new system was safe and correct. Thanks Sam! We have two private day nurseries that have required lots of plumbing and gas work over the last several years as part of an on going update. Our latest projects were two bathroom replacements. SDB were reasonably priced and reliable but most of all flexible and efficient. They worked around the needs of the business and completed all jobs on time and to a high standard. Sams carried out a few jobs for us over the last few years and always does a great job. He is both polite and professional and leaves the place tidy after the works been finished. The most recent job was a water leak caused by a faulty water pump fitted in the past by a different plumber. I noticed the leak at 23:00 on Saturday night and water was streaming into my kitchen from the bathroom above. Luckily I tried Sams number as I didn’t know how to stop the leak. He not only answered but came to sort out the problem for me there and then and by midnight it was sorted. If you want the best I would highly recommend his company for any plumbing work people need doing. Thanks again

I’ve now been calling Sam to rescue us for about 3 years!!! He never lets us down and will do what he can to keep the cost reasonable. He’s very honest and won’t try to ‘sell’ you what needs to be done, he is practical about ways around the job to give you the best service at the best price. He’s friendly too which helps!
