It was a really great bowling experience. The place is open until 10pm and has a small cafe and some vending machines by the bowling alley. The bowling machines do not accept cards but you could go by the gaming machines and have a change in coins if you have some cash. Overall great place with some DJ and 8 quid per person for an hour. Also there are a few places available for dinner just across the road. Recommended to visit.

Always a great spot to visit with friends, can’t say how many times we’ve visited the mini golf course (to be fair, I somehow get worse) and the bowling / ice skating is always something great to switch things up. I love that it’s opposite the cinema and many food spots, so you can make a day of it with family and friends. Highly recommend for locals and anyone visiting if you’re struggling to find things to do.

Took our children ice skating for the first time as it was our eldest (8 year old) birthday and he picked to try this. He absolutely loved it. Our other son was like Bambi on ice and sat down after 20 mins. 🙈Easy to book online. Get your skates at the desk, and hand over your shoes. You need a £1 coin to get a token for the lockers to put your stuff in. At the end near the DJ is the girl to get the skating aids from. She will measure your child against the wall for what size you need. He got a snowman! Which he loved. Music great and gave our son a shout out for his birthday. will definitely be back. Recommend warm clothing and gloves until you warm up going round. And thick socks to stop the skates rubbing the back of your legs. Also on site which we need to try is Indiana Land soft play, bowling and pirate adventure golf outside.

Had a fun day out with the gang over a week ago! The bowling area has fantastic disco lights with funky music, which make it a great combo💯 Every time the ball goes to the gutter, you would see that on the screen hahaha😆. Talking about walk of shame when we left😆😆

Absolutely amazing time ice-skating with the family. That's the only activity we did so 4* is in relation to that. Can't comment on other aspects. Only issue was things weren't very clear when waiting to register after buying tickets online and when we could get our skates. But wouldn't stop me going back again.

Lots of activities to participate here. Theres wall climbing , bowling , ice skating and at the bottom of the complex carpark theres the absolutely out of this world experience in "escape rooms". A wonderful family activity centre. The only thing that stops it getting 5 stars is that its tired and dated looking on the outside. I love to see it at least cleaned and the flower beds maintained. This is somewhere the council could really do with overhauling/rebuilding. It has massive potential and i have loads of really great memories growing up and having many visits here.

Very good leisure centre in Dundonald. It has an ice rink, gym, escape room, 20 lane ten pin bowling alley, children's adventure play area and cash machine. There's a good cafe with hot food, donuts, cakes, ice-cream, smoothies, tea and coffee. Plenty of free parking. It's close to a cinema, if you want a good day out for the family.

Bunged! Didn't know it was so popular. DJ was great crack in the bowling part, kids enjoyed themselves. I'd advise to phone and book. Down side the toilets are rank! No toilet roll or soap in the dispenser, the disabled toilet wasn't suitable for a wheelchair user because the actual toilet wasnt stable.

It was great! I recommend Dundonald International Ice Bowl as the best place to ice skating. They have an Olympic size arena, they have hosted hockey game in the past and house their training time in time.

It has the only rink on this whole island that is open all year around, so as a figure skater I simply love this place! When it comes to the rink, the ice is of great quality, the rink size is huge and no temporary ice rink compares. The food available is really good, tasty, filling and very affordable! Their ice slushies are the best! ❄ I have also tried the clip'n climb and it was a great experience. There were a lot of different types of walls to climb and I loved the leap of faith and the slide, although they come at a small extra cost, they were totally worth it. This activity centre also has glow in the dark bowling and mini golf outside, although I haven't tried these yet, I would love to as they seem to be a lot of fun. It is also a great place for kids parties, as they have a room where they can eat, sing the happy birthday's and enjoy some cake and then enjoying some of the activities I have talked about earlier.

She would usually get fed up especially with things she cannot do at that time but with the professional help from the leaders she has managed all the grades and is now in grade 8. I must say Joanne has a very SPECIAL TALENT in knowing when to gently push Alex with her needs. All staff are friendly, helpful and have the best manners. From the counter staff to the very coffee kiosk. WELL DONE👏👏👏

Absolutely amazing rink, great value for money. Spotlessly clean and a cafe on site for hot chocolates. If I had to go again, I would stay for the full day. We ice skated for 2/3 hours, and went off to do other things, but would have stayed if I knew about the climbing walls and crazy golf. A great day out for all ages.

Good location with adequate parking. The centre is a mecca for all age groups, with activities to suit most people. The clip and climb is along side the ice rink so it can be a noisy place if you're trying to communicate on techniques, etc. The 10 pin bowling is always popular.

We went for 10 pin bowling on Sunday and I'll tell you that I'm very glad that we booked a lane. It was absolutely crazy busy, I don't know what was going on that day but it was really busy. The guy at the counter had to turn away 2 groups in front of us because they hadn't booked. So if you're planning to visit at a weekend, I would highly recommend booking. 🎳

The place itself is a little tired and could do with a revamp, that said it's a fun place and is still as popular as ever. It can get very busy at times. Social distancing rules aren't adhered to, there are signs but they aren't enforced and no-one seems willing to respect them. When mini golfing we had the people behind us walking over our playing area when they finished their game before we did. Other than that it's always great fun.

Nice ice surface, olympic size rink - 4 stars is only because the hire skates are so damn blunt, run a sharpener over them for flip sake, ive felt sharper edges on a plastic kids spoon. Other than that cant beat the value and ice surface and good place to skate. There are little penguins for kids to hold on to skate and get around and learn to skate. Lockers to put your valuables in and sit in, but a bit run down the rest of the facility. Now run by the local Council.

The Ice Bowl is fairly local to us, with the current restrictions in place we had to book a spot but this was relatively easy and actually the venue wasn't particularly busy. "The Ice Bowl" as the name suggests has ice skating, ten pin bowling (which we were there for) crazy golf, kids indoor play area and other attractions such as climbing walls and a cafe with seating available overlooking the rink and bowling areas. Although updated a few times over the years it does perhaps lack a modern day feel but nevertheless kids seem to enjoy the venue and the activities there! My youngest son and I bowled atrociously and laughed a lot at our incompetence as it's been s while since our last visit! There are a number of well known and popular restaurants and eateries just a two minute walk up the road so you can make the most of your visit! I would give The Ice Bowl three and a half stars if it were possible however veering toward the more positive I've given it four as the kids really get a kick out of it and a good time can be had with family there!

This is important as we are mostly elderly & sometimes the technology is baffling. Look forward to it every week. The catering staff are excellent & look after our every need.

A brilliant day out for my 40th Birthday at Dundonald Ice Bowl. Skating, then lunch and bowling for 30 people aged 4 -69! The staff in all areas were brilliant and really accommodating. the building itself is a little disappointing, but i know that there are plans to change that in the future. it's sad that this is the only ice rink open in northern ireland, but it meets enough standards. the skates from the skate hire at the rink are quite old but they are sturdy. unfortunately i see a lot of people who don't wear them tight enough though, so it would be nice if the proper way to wear them was made clearer to newcomers and first-timers. the website is a little confusing but its manageable. although i do wish that there was a way to book a slot at the ice rink without having to hire skates, (obviously for people with their own). i know that they only cost a pound or two, but if you come on the regular it can become a bit of a nuisance. hopefully that is something that will be looked into. other than that, the skating experience is quite enjoyable. ~♡~ info: • £6 per person (£5 for members) • sessions last 1½ hours • membership is £28 per month (individual) ~♡~ tips: • follow the poster beside the vending machine when tightning your skates • bring back your skates yourself, don't let a friend do it incase of confusion • always listen to the announcement at the start of the session • be confident and don't be scared to fall! • follow the height guide for the penguins and snowmen and if you're too tall, just grip onto the sides or ask a member of staff to help • enjoy yourself!!!

Staff on reception were friendly and chatted away to my son, took time on a busy day to explain the process to him as it’s his first time there. Once in the rink itself a very helpful staff member went out of his way to find a snow man skating aid for him to use when there wasn’t any available. This really made a big difference to the whole experience for him as he’s not got great balance. So overall the whole experience was enjoyable and a positive thing and we’ll definitely go back again - the staff and they’re helpful approach on such a busy day played a huge part in making it a good experience - thank you all 😊

Amazing place to take kids. 4 adults and 1 child cost £20 altogether for an hours worth of bowling which I thought wasn't too bad. Bowling is very imaginative with little mini games involved with the bowling if you want them. Keeps kids interested while also giving adults a laugh too. Gentleman at the front desk showed us how to work the touch screen control panel where you sit as well, in a very friendly and professional manner. All in all a brilliant experience.

The only issue I had was that they refused to accept a valid membership plus card (for discount) as they wanted a printed version - nowehere has ever asked for this before - so anybody wanting to avail of this discount, email or message them in advance to get it in writing that they will accept the card.

Ice and atmosphere were great, but I would recommend to have your own skates. The ones they provide are blunt and slip to the sides awfully. For a beginner especially is very difficult to manage them ( my kids gave up after half an hour of struggle, considering they go on roller blades with no bother ) and for an experimented user is disappointing not being able to enjoy the ice properly.

We spent an awesome afternoon here with our two children. We pre booked a bowling lane which was a good idea given that it was extremely busy with a queue for people waiting for lanes to become available. The bowling was great fun, they dim the lights so that everything glows in the dark which is a novel idea. We had a ball get stuck but someone came almost instantly to rectify the problem. Once we finished our game we made our way into the ice skating area and spent a few minutes happily watching the skaters before heading out.

Not fair when kids are too scared to skate and adults are all hogging them! Also, should be banned people keeping them at ice skate side for friends! Kids and myself visited last week for the first, I found the admission price fair for skating but not a very safe environment for adults and kids just learning to skate because of certain ones absolutely flying around and nothing done to stop them, my little girl was clipped and knocked down by a teenager whose remark was 'some people are so slow' and just left her there. Place could also do with an overhaul as it's extremely scruffy for being the only ice rink in the area, doesn't set a very good impression for visitors.

Ice Skating Rink: The Dundonald Ice Rink is great! Some Pros: -Open all year round -Great Prices, off-peak hours it's £7 for a session! (Sessions can last for 5+ hours) Olympic sized rink. Some Cons: -Ice is only resurfaced every 3-4 hours -Rental Skates aren't very sharp (Understandable since they are rental) Overall however, I thoroughly enjoyed coming here and definitely will be back. *The rental skates are a type of figure skate also.

We went ice skating here - the ice rink is big but it was very busy on the day. The ice was uneven and bumpy at places. We rented ice skates but they were quite old and blunt, like they weren't sharpened at all. The prices were OK and there was no time limit on ice skating session so it's a great value. The music can be very loud at times. There are lockers available for 1 pound per use. The facility looks a bit run down, like something from the 80s, it could do with a lick of paint.

Me and some of my friends went there to go bowling, the bowling was great and the people there were nice. First though we decided to get something to eat in the diner, it took 2 attempts just to order. We went in and took about two minutes so some of us could decide what to order while the others looked at the wall climbers. Just as we went to order, the woman from behind the counter very rudely kicked us out. We waited about 15 minutes and then went in again. This time she at least let us order, but i almost wish sshe hadn't. Not only did it take over 40 minutes for a small burger and chips to be made, they were also quite disgusting and had many hairs in them. The staff there were rude and unhelpful, just in the diner though. We had a great day bowling, but eating there was a mistake.

Dundonald International Ice Bowl is located just outside of Belfast NIR, it's a little bit confusing to get to if you have never been out that way before, but using the map to get to it is handy enough. The ice skating facility is great, with skates provided as part of the skate entry fee, there are lockers to store your valuables and they also provide professional skate lessons. Check out their website if you want to find out how to get lessons. The bowling and café are also fairly good although the premesis itself could use with a refresh on the inside at least as the interior of the foyer and bathrooms are very dated and could use with a refresh to breathe new life into what is otherwise a great place to go.
