Last weekend I went with some friends because we wanted to be really naughty for our dessert (which finally ended up more like a sweet dinner haha). Staff was friendly and service was fast. We ordered Ferrero waffles (oh my!) as well as personalised cookie and pancakes, and we paired with chai lattes to drink. Everything was absolutely delicious!!!!! Plus they open 'til late so it's really great!

A nice family run dessert cafe which has a common theme menu, but food is well prepared and with flavour rather than. The ott bravado that some of these place do when serving dishes to make a look over substance statement. Polite, friendly and reasonable. Terry chocolate orange over a waffle was pretty nice.

VERY VERY GOOD! The crepes and the waffles are very nice. The cookie doughs are also extremely yummy. When it's delivered, it tastes like the food has just come out of the oven. Also great gluten free options on the waffles and crepes.

I mean upon entering the greet wasn’t as warming as you’d expect for someone who’s coming to your dessert shop for the first time but hey hoo we got seated gave us a complimentary small jam dips with one waffle stick i mean come on the stick was the size of my little finger so a little more of an open heart goes a long way anyway it was free so don’t want to sound stingy and all but yeah its all good the waffle stick eventually evaporated moving onto the dessert we asked recommendations but waiter didn’t have a clue so we just ordered what we thought would be good, so desserts were ok not the best and my friend had a milkshake but didn’t even finish half of it so yeah that was that but hey i’m a fair guy 3 out 5 for me but again maybe i just come on the wrong day (everyday should be 5 out of 5) ! Anyway i’ll come back again and see if anything has changed thanks

I lived 2 years in Middle East, and as a French Moseley person it is finally the proper coffee I was looking for. Dessert very nice (apple pie and cookie dough arabica we had were homemade)

Nice quiet place. My cheesecake was lovely. Normally the biscuit at the bottom is so solid that you need a hammer and chisel to make progress with it. But the cheesecake here was beautiful. They even sprinkled these nice flakes over it. I thought it was confetti and for a moment I was transported in to the realms of the day of my marriage, but then I looked across the table at the person sitting opposite and came back down to earth. The karak chai was nice but probably could have done with some elachi or cinnamon to give it some drive. Other than that setting and desserts were nice and customer service was good.

Me and my wife like trying different places and we found this place just by chance, a nice small shop in the village, smart looking. Approached by a member of staff who was very polite. Sat down to a clean table and given plenty of time to order, we ordered two mojitos which came before our main deserts, which were delicious. The deserts came we ordered the mini waffle donuts and a sundae. Both were really nice, the waffle donuts were probably one of the nicest I've had. Better than waffle project and the others. I highly recommend this place to people wanting to try something new. Plus we didn't mind the music to. If you guys do read these reviews just wanted to say keep it up guys place is wonderful.

Really enjoyed my vegan waffle with vegan milk chocolate sauce and strawberries. It was very tasty and the waitress was friendly and attentive. We even received some freebies which was a very nice gesture. Would definitely recommend.

Dessert lab is pretty average. It’s nothing that special compared to other dessert shops like jam jar and heavenly desserts. I went at a time when it was really quiet so we had the whole place to ourselves. On arrival we were given complementary wafer rolls with dipping sauce and jam which was a cute added bonus whilst we waited for our order to be made. We chose the Belgian waffle which you create by yourself, choosing your own sauce and toppings and ice cream etc. And it was warm when we received it which tasted nice. The strawberries didn’t taste very fresh but other than that it was okay. Overall, the price is quite expensive compared to other places with the food pretty average. I personally wouldn’t go again, and if I was to go again I’d order something else, not the waffle.

Love this cosy little desserts place. Their desserts and hot chocolate were so delicious and they also deliver. Forget the diet! I'll be coming back here with more of my friends and family or getting home deliveries! Have to also highlight the quick service and very charming attitude of the waitress we had gave us the best recommendation to choose from.

Omg... This place is amazing! We had waffles and the portions were huge, we struggled to finish it ☺ The two members of staff were absolutey fantastic, welcoming and so friendly and took the time to entertain my 5 year old niece, who absolutely loved it here and keeps asking to come back. I would 100% recommend this place and look forward to returning again very soon. ☺😜😜

First time we went. Deco and atmosphere was really nice. Our waitress was very nice and we had quick service, there was 8 of us. One of my greatest sadnesses of Moseley is that Java Roastery shuts at 9pm. Sadness turned to delight when it became apparent that Dessert Lab is born from the same passion that has delighted and benefitted Moseley enormously for so many years. The coffee will be supreme (read my review on Java Roastery).. The food.. Watch this space!

Me and my friend went in and on arrival the service was great from the start, we were given a complimentary snack while choosing our desserts, when ordering our desserts the guy that served us was very helpful and polite and allowed us to try a few of their ice cream flavours to decide which would go best with our dessert. The dessert was very satisfying unlike other desert shops were desserts become sickly, honestly the best velvet cookie dough iv had and the pancakes are to die for. We left very satisfied with the overall experience with the desserts and customer service. We will be returning very soon. :)

Great service! Lovely staff. Was slightly let down on menu and waffle along with cookie dough. Cookie dough was very dry and not so generous with sauce. Whereas waffle was soft but gooey. Hope changes can be made to improve quality, great atmosphere and vibrant.

I recently visited this shop and I have so much to say. Firstly, the staff are extremely friendly & are always at hand to help. The dessert quality is extremely high (I had chosen the Red Velvet Cookie Dough) and the price is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend people to pop down this dessert shop, it has a very unique menu and very interesting one too.

Great service and decor - makes for a warm cosy surrounding. Food and drinks were excellent with good sized portions and quick service. Wide choice with several options for vegan and gluten intolerant diets. A touch on the pricey side but probably not much different to Costa /Starbucks. The pancakes (stack) were plenty for a lunch.

Amazing service, we booked a table for our anniversary and they went above and beyond, when we arrived the greeter seated us to a table with a happy anniversary balloon and some lovely roses. The food they gave us was so tasty and delicious, with a very good selection to choose from. And most importantly the £5 milkshake was actually worth £5, it was an absolute unit. 100% would recommend to anyone.

Lets begin with the entrance...a very good touch to the business when someone opens the door to you which made me and my wife feel welcomed. We were greeted with respect and told they were getting a table ready for us. 8/10 Seating/Decor: The seats and tables were great upstairs however I did not get a look downstairs. Comfortable seating with nice large tables for larger groups. 7/10 Dessert: So I had a caramalised pear puree crepe with cinnamon and a scoop of honey and ginger icecream. The ice cream and crepe were delicious however, the crepe on the outer edges was a little dry. My wife had the red velvet cookie dough with toffee crisp ice cream. The ice cream once again was really great however I did not take a lliking to the redvelvet berry cookiedough which took me by suprise. I would have rather enjoyed an origional redvelvet cookiedough but that is just my taste buds. The espressos that I ordered with the dessert could have been a little stronger and the water was forgotten to be brought to the table. 10/10 Service: The hosts are very welcoming and the staff are well trained. A good system in place to take orders and communicate between the team. Service was quick and the chocolate cigars with caramel and mint chocolate sauce was a nice touch. Overall a decent place to go out and will be visiting again in the near future to give an update on other items.

Great venue situated in Moseley. I visited Dessert Lab on recommendation as they do gluten free waffles and Crepes which is a rarity! On arrival my group and I were greeted and shown to some seats. There were 9 of us and 3 babies so took up two booths all together. The waiter was smiling and happy and we didn't feel rushed into ordering. Obviously needing a gf diet and not having a proper waffle in years I opted for a waffle. Prior to ordering I asked if they were all made fresh and on site, which I was assured they were. I had a waffle with strawberries, milk Belgian chocolate sauce, topped with almonds and morello cherry ice cream. Oh and an extra layer of waffle!! My chosen combination went well together and the dessert was tasty, although there could have been more chocolate sauce. All in all a great tasting dessert, a venue which was cosy and welcoming. I'm definitely heading back for a gf crepe soon.

Pleasant atmosphere and great staff, very welcoming... The deserts were decently priced compared to other desert places and quite good quality. I ordered the blondie cookie dough and was pleasantly suprised as cookie dough from desert parlours are usually bad quality and unenjoyable. I would reccommend this if you want an indulgent desert in a relaxing atmosphere with no disturbance or noise.. Good stuff.

As soon as you enter the door, you see a colourful vibrant hipster deco. Then you have the most friendliest staff members greet you and give you a designated table. Celebrated 🎉 my sons birthday party at Dessert Lab over the weekend wow it was amazing. They went over and beyond to make my son feel so special and our guests were delighted. Having been recommended by a family member I am pleased to say that’s this place actually lives up to the hype. Fantastic ambience and great service and the desserts are to die for. Excellent attention to detail and quality at fair prices 👍 will definitely be back
