First time my mom had been to the little dessert shop and she loved it! (I did too). Aisha was fantastic, with her customer service and also the presentation of the food. The cake was delicious as was the custard! Safe to say we will definitely be going back!

Was looking forward to finally coming here, so I took my little brother and sister. It was a day where it was not so busy on a Sunday evening. But we had to wait to be seated and also waited around 20 minutes for the food. There were only 2 other tables that had not had their food the rest of them already had been served. Ordering was easy. But it seems like they put priority on the delivery orders. My sister and I kept thinking there was something missing about the atmosphere too. I would have probably preferred some nice easy listening music. The dessert is great and so are the drinks and you do feel satisfied afterwards. Taking someone to a dessert shop should feel a little special but unfortunately the atmosphere and lack of customer service doesn't fit the shop sign or decor. I've given the restaurant a 4 out of 5 stars just for the food. If they fix the rest I would promote the place to my friends and family. I would like to go back one day and just check if it wasn't an off day.

Make no mistake, the desserts are lovely, and if you are going for delivery then I'd recommend. However, I though I'd pop in there on a quiet Friday evening, with barely any guests inside. Their coffee machine was apparently broke, so I wasn't able to get a coffee, so I ordered a glass of milk for £2.50! Insane! Then I had to wait over 20 mins for it to be delivered along with a concrete block. The lady serving me was oblivious to the fact that I had been waiting for such a long time, and basically didn't seem to have any desire to do her job. If it was busy I'd absolutely understand, however there was one family and one couple in the place. As I said, get cakes delivered but don't bother eating in.

Second time I've been here now. My most recent visit was on a busy Saturday afternoon therefore, I had to experience waiting times. Not a big bother however as the waffles and cookie dough were excellent on arrival. On a side note, ordering at the till is much preferred compared to waiting and hoping a server notices you. Not that that's an issue here as the staff are quite friendly and polite. Two visits so far have been great and I've already recommended the place to family and friends. It's a slice of the best ladypool would have to offer in the surroundings of Kings Heath.

Such a lovely and cosy place, it stays open till late even on Sundays and theres parking right outside. The staff are really friendly (shout out to Aisha who has served us many times and makes great drinks) and everything we have tried on the Menu is delicious - well worth visiting!

I went there first time today with my family and sister's for my late birthday treat. We had a very warm welcome by the staff. Beautiful decor and very peaceful atmosphere. Food was served quickly straight after ordering. We ordered Ferrero rochers milkshake, strawberry sensation waffles, red velvet cakes, cookie dough, tango ice blasts and some gelati scoops. Absolutely yummy food, blew us away with amazing presentation and details. I am definitely coming back with my crew (I.e hubby and my 5 kids, sister and her 4 kids) I highly recommend this place.

Popped in yesterday for some naughty treats. I had the chocolate fudge cake with hot custard. My children chose the lotus biscoff cheese cake and the Oreo cheesecake. The cheesecakes were yummy, but the chocolate fudge cake with hot custard hit the spot! Especially with it being winter I'd rather opt for a warm dessert. My only grumble is we weren't able to choose where we wanted to be seated. Staff informed us that a portion of the shop was being cleaned then it would be closed off. We visited around 5.30pm and the establishment doesn't close until 11pm, so why they would close off part of the shop that early I do not understand. Customers should really be able to choose where they would like to be seated. Apart from this it was very clean, the decor was lovely, staff were friendly and the service was exceptional.

The dessert shop is new and chic, has got many options including, cheesecakes, waffle, cookie dough, ice creams and milkshakes amongst the many. The ambiance of this shop is very nice and the seating arrangement is also good. The cookie dough was not of my liking though however the waffle was great and I would recommend it. The cheesecake are nice however I would recommend choose it over the counter rather than from the menu as it could be deceiving at times. Overall nice place to visit if you are a sweet tooth

This place is just spot on. The location is excellent and there is pay and display parking outside which makes it ideal. Inside the decor is amazing and done to a very good taste. We ordered a table for 13 and phoned them up a day before. They were very helpful and said that would be fine as long as we arrived on time. On arrival our table was waiting all ready for us. It was a starry, bustling, weekend night. There was a waxing, gibbous, moon. I had a ravenous appetite that propelled me towards the bright lights of the Little Dessert Shop. Upon entry, I was immediately magnetised by the sight of the tantalising cakes on display. However, my mind was undecided on which cake to choose. There was almost too much choice. I needed help. In stepped the wonderfully accomodating manager, Aisha, to the rescue. She recommended the Sweet Addiction cheesecake, a Lotus Biscoff flavoured delicacy with hints of salted caramel. While my mind was still undecided, I decided to take the manager's recommendation. After being seated, I eagerly waited in anticipation for the dessert I had ordered. My wait however, was not long. The cake had come, my pupils dilated, and my mouth watered. I was ready. I took my first bite and I was taken aback. What was this I was experiencing? Is this true happiness? Is this what I had waited for my entire life? I had found the answer. Life's purpose. Would recommend, 5/5.

Update: I first wrote this review over two years ago just thought I’d add a bit more since it really is the best dessert shop in Birmingham, by far. They have a massive selection of desserts that they make themselves. Personal favourites are the Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough with brownies or Ferrero Rochers, chocolate fudge cake & the Ferrero milk cake. Nothing better to go with all that chocolate than an Original Mojito Absolutely delicious.

Absolutely beautiful, the restaurant was well laid out and was contemporary in design, it was very clean. We had various types of cheese cakes they were all amazing. The hot drinks were just as good. Today, whilst in Kings Heath I found myself drawn towards a sweet aroma of caramel, chocolate, and waffles. Nestled between Cakebox and an old derelict cinema was this saucy little minx. Now normally I'd be able to muster some self-control, however after a particularly spicy vindaloo the night before I was feeling pretty sorry for myself as the ring of fire in my undies continued to make me walk like a constipated penguin. As a result, it took under a minute for me to find myself scowering the menu. I settled on the white chocolate cookie dough which not only sounded scrumptious, but came with ice cream which I prayed would ease my burning back passage on its exit. The cookie dough - sumptuous. The white chocolate - divine. The ice cream - a life saver. All in all a scrumptious treat.

First time visiting the little dessert shop with a friend after my brother recommended it to me. My experience was great! I will definitely be going again very soon. I loved the fact that we got to browse the desserts on display before a server approached us to ask if we were eating in or taking away. We were them warmly welcomed and taken through. The wait wasn't long at all, our drinks came nearly straight away, followed by our desserts shortly after. The food was absolutely delicious. You could tell everything was freshly made and the perfect temperature to eat straight away! At one point we even asked if they had sockets so we could charge our phones and the staff were really accommodating. We moved to the booth area without any fuss. Usually you get many establishments who make a big deal about charging your phone and usually always say they don't have any available sockets. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will definitely be back! Great food, great staff and great atmosphere!

If you’re looking to find a solution to your sweet tooth fix, or just crazy about desserts like I am, then the Little Dessert Kings Heath branch is the one for you!! 🙌 Hands down one of the best service and dessert experiences I have had. The shops setup itself is magnificent and the customer service is quick and efficient. A large selection of desserts and drinks on the menu to choose from. I went with a family of 10+ people and everyone was extremely pleased with the way their desserts came out as they were all very appetizing. First visit to this dessert shop and I was very very impressed. Despite the shop being very busy staff were so friendly and welcoming they advised there would be a wait and as the place looks immaculate we decided to wait. We were then seated shortly and then went to the till to order. We much preferred this as we hate being hounded at the table and this way we went in our own time and when we were ready. We were not disappointed when our food arrived the quality was unreal. Delicious desserts. We ordered a crepe, a cookie dough and a Oreo waffle. Don’t understand why people complain about waiting times!! If you want quality you wait ! It’s simple as that. The shop is popular therefore busy. It’s not difficult to understand. During our visit we noticed a group who were planning a complaint which was very sad to overhear. Despite a very lame attempt at complaining the manager dealt with the complaint with such professionalism. Kudos to him. Because if they had spoke to me like that my response would be very different to that given to them by the manager. The staff are not magicians - shock horror and during busy times cannot give you a table straight away - again shock horror. Oh and did I mention they also cannot magic you a dessert straight away. Stop being lame and finding stupid reasons to complain!! Lovely shop, lovely staff and most importantly lovely deserts definitely coming back. See you Monday

Popped in here recently and it was really impressive, I was quite familiar with Kings Heath when I was a child and was having a look round for the day - so I assume this place must be relatively new. Creparies e.t.c tend to be more of a continental thing and so this made a really nice change to a more traditional coffee shop. The cookie dough was small in my opion in comparison to other dessert places I've been to. (Will not name any as I've been to alot and don't agree with discrediting a shop unless it's beyond bad) it was all just nice and okay not like wow this is amazing. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for dessert that day. Hence the 4 stars. 3 stars was a little unfair so I changed it to 4. Because it's not like it wasn't nice. We had a cookie dough with ice cream and 2 waffles with ice cream and a milkshake. I think it was the bueno milkshake that I was disappointed with. I don't know it was missing a little somthing. I would come back though and I would recommend the shop. As I haven't tried the savoury food on the menu (and I love the menus layout) and that all looks really really nice. Staff were friendly : ) and the shop is nice inside and out.

I’m not one to leave reviews but I felt compelled to do so here. I love desserts and am a regular at most of the dessert shops on Stratford road and ladypool road but I have to say little desserts in kings Heath beats them all. I was amazed at the beautiful decor and family friendly atmosphere in here, which is hard to get in some other dessert places. The menu is fantastic to choose from and portion sizes were very big. We didn’t have to wait long once our orders were given and I have to say the ferrora Roche cheesecake is the best cheesecake I have tasted. My children were Very pleased with their order of waffles and after sharing some with them I found them to be delicious. I would recommend this dessert shop to everyone as the selection of desserts is fantastic and customer service is one of the best I have come across in a long term. Keep up the good work. I love the fact that so many of these Dessert shops are springing up everywhere and that so many of them provide great deserts in clean, modern, upmarket and tastefully decorated venues. The 'Little Dessert shop' is no different and is a fairly newish inclusion to Kings Heath's burgeoning desert eatery scene. The shop easily rivals and supersedes 'Heavenly Desserts' (Ladypool Road) and 'Dessert Lab' on Alcester Road, in Moseley. From the moment we walked into the time we left, we were afforded the best service imaginable. We were offered suggestions on what to order, and on 2 occasions staff came over to make sure everything was ok with our order and if anything else could be provided. Prices are exceptionally reasonable. We ordered 1 'Strawberry Sensation', 1 lot of 'American brownies' and 1 'Broken Rainbow' and the bill came to just £ 16.95 - cheaper than we expected. My wife, son and I all enjoyed the food and only because we had to be elsewhere, did we not order anymore. The portions were generous and the one has to mention the Waffles which were cooked to a tee, and were hot, soft, yet crunchy on the outside. This is a great dessert shop. Parking is free at nearby Asda (for up to one and a half hours) or around £1.00 just outside for up to 2 hours. The reviews may be almost evenly divided for this shop between those who loved it and those who abhorred it, but I think that in the fullness of time, with improved customer service, it will revert to more people having a favourable impression and experience of the place. If you're like me, go ahead and treat yourself at this 'joint' and you will come back content and happy. More importantly you will return.

The gold enterance chains enhance the decor however they are in a place where they will get abused . There’s a new menu now so even more pages and choice. Visited the LD shop for the first time. Nice decor and friendly staff. A wide variety of desserts to choose from. However the cake I ordered was dry and stale, I was told the cakes are fresh and displayed on a daily basis. Clearly this was not true as the cake was dry, hard and stale. The service was very slow considering it was barely busy. The music was way too loud which was very annoying, there is no need for it! It is not a club!!!

really dont understand why people complain !! this place is amazing, i visited on the grand opening which was very busy but the staff were great so caring came over to me and my family straight away and told us there would be a wait as it was busy which was understandable. once we ordered our food we were served by a nice and friendly worker, we was told it could be up to a 15-20 min wait for our food but it came out way before that. manager awais went around to all the tables and ensured everyone was happy. lovely place. will be coming again.
