Was wondering around town and stumbled on this place. There was a nice selection of ice cream flavours and the cakes looked good too. Yet it was disorganised. Seeing as we were the only customers there, it took a good 5 mins for 5 scoops of ice cream to be put through the till! Everyone seemed a little lost in there. Took another 5+ mins for the ice creams to arrive. The mango sorbet came on a random slate plate which made us laugh. But all in all they were very tasty! I'd recommend bubblegum! Was yum! Enjoy!

Visited today with my wife and youngest daughter. Food was amazing, service was brilliant and owner was super friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for 1st class desserts in Birmingham City Centre.

We love our desserts but service was quite slow 😀 n didn't had wat I ask for n my husband's Ice cream was quite pricey for small bowl- again not wat shown in picture from menu. It's was abt 10 pm n hot day too. I'm sure things are better in normal days 🤪🤪🤪

Came here 1/2 a year ago and the place was a disaster very unorganised and a long wait for food however after seeing the changes made by the new management i will 100% be visiting sundaes again👍

Good customer service and the waffle and shake was well made, the oreo and brownie ice creams are good choices to get, however the only problem i found is that the standard vanilla ice cream that came with the waffle tasted more like medicine than it did like vanilla ice cream, that could have just been a one off issue as this is my first time coming here. In the end i would come here again

Unassuming gelato place. It is clean and tidy and there are lots of menu choices of sundaes, waffles, crepes and milkshakes. Also prices very reasonable. I had a kinder bueno crepe which was delicious but I couldn’t finish it.

Sundaes & Gelato is a desert place that does genuinely fantastic icecream. As you walk into the store there is the huge display of all the flavours, including cookies & cream, Mango Sorbet, Coconut Sorbet, Blue Banana Iced cream and bubble gum, along with many more! They offer a large menu, including Crêpes, Waffles, Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, Strawberries in a cup (with chocolate sauce), mocktails, sundaes, smoothies, milkshakes, coffees & teas & so much more. There's something for everyone, and the menu is near completely vegetarian (never had any issues of gelatin etc), and gluten free can still have the Ice-creams/sundaes offered as long as they ask for no wafers! The atmosphere is pretty good, if you go earlier on in the day, after they open, it tends to be pretty quiet with just a bit of background music & the music video playing in the TV, in this time it is a good place to study, hang out and chat or play something like DnD. Later on it can get slightly more crowded but normally there still are free tables and things about. Sundaes and Gelatos prices normally sit between £4 -£9 depending on what you get, but they also include student discounts of 20% on all main items (crepes, sundaes and waffles) which is pretty good! The waffles themselves are okay, and the toppings for both crepes and waffles can be generous and very filling depending on what you order. One of my favourite things about this place is that you can have a milkshake from any icecream at the front. My personal favourite is a blue banana gelato shake, it is wildly blue and very tastey- (primarily tastes of normal banana) and is around £3.35 for that! Not bad at all! Service is quick and efficient, you don't have to wait for long for your food to come, and you just go up to the bar to order and pay!

I popped in on a whim, whilst out in Birmingham, prior to heading to a bar for a couple of drinks. It's starting to look a little dated, inside and out, but the place is clean and offers a decent variety of flavours and desserts. I ordered a crepe with maple syrup and a milkshake, unfortunately the service was a little slow, despite the place being almost empty. The crepe came with fresh strawberries, a scoop of ice cream and syrup. The crepe itself was nice, it tasted fresh and, although a little chewy, the texture was good. The ice cream was the highlight, sweet and custardy, with a lovely vanilla flavour, it worked well with the strawberries. The only thing that let this down, for me at least, was the syrup, it wasn't pure maple, it was either heavily cut with sugar syrup or merely a flavoured syrup, either way it barely had any flavour. The milkshake was decent, it was definitely enjoyable, rich and creamy, but ever so slightly too sweet for my taste. Overall a decent enough experience and a generally nice dessert, definitely for someone with a sweet tooth.

The food is surreal but amazing. Waffles the size of your head covered in banana and cream, coffee that's made of milky way bars and oh so many weird and wonderful ice creams and gelato! If you like a good pudding then this is the place for you. As a side note, this seems to be a popular place for non drinkers to socialise. Young groups, people from all ethic backgrounds and elderly folk bringing their granddaughters and grandsons. It's a nice, mixed social grouping.

I've been here lots of time and enjoyed a hot waffle. The best one I've ever had! They have a wide range of products, not only ice creams but also cookie dough, crêpes, cakes, cupcakes. I love this place and the staff is really friendly, I recommend a visit! It worths it!

Very nice place, plenty of seats. The icecreams are very tasty. They have a lot of flavours, the dificult part is to choose. £2 one scoop, £3 two scoop. So it's not expensive. Also they are open until midnight. Wonderfull discovery for me in Birmingham city.

Ok so sundaes gelato Birmingham, I think this place is more style over substance, the beauty of the finished product is WOW but the flavours leave much to be desired. Dessert is my new fad and the 3 stars is because I can't figure out how to give half so 2.5 would be more precise. The menu is quite restricted to vanilla ice cream with everything and extra charges for the other 49 variety instead of a simple switch.... Not good enough. So to sum up will I be bk No but it's up to you.
