Reviews of Julien Plumart
L. S.
Went there in the weekend, staff were super friendly and they offered my daughter a vanilla macaron which she loved. We had some cakes and macaroons for takeaway pistachio eclair, flan and royal crunchy chocolate and all of them were really light and delicious. We had some macaroons as well and all the flavours we tried were good. Their croissant was really light and tasted good. Prices are on the high side but the quality of food is good. Definitely worth a visit while In Brighton.

just happened to see this bakery on the way to the station, but I'm so glad I went in !! the workers there were BEYOND NICE and our interactions made my day. the custard tart I got was the best one I ever had ; perfect textures and the vanilla flavor was so strong but not overwhelming ! if you're ever in Brighton this bakery is a must !
S. B.
I passed this place coming from the train station in Brighton and had to go in.
I remembered Julien Plumart from watching Bake Off: The Professionals.
I got a hazelnut croissant and a pistachio eclair. The were bloody amazing!
That crossaint was the best filled crossaint I've ever had. Like I can't describe how good it was. I'm a pastry chef and I've never tasted anything so good. Get this if you go here.
The pistachio eclair was also pretty damn good, the textures and flavour was top notch.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the prices matched the quality of the product and service.
Go here 👏

Lovely cafe with lively staff. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try any of the cakes yet but I am looking forward to visit Brighton to try the pistachio eclair and something else.
For now I tried two croissants and one pastry with pistachio creme. The pastry was amazing, but you could taste a little bit of artificial flavouring in pistachio just due to the intense taste of it which would not happen when using real pistachio paste. Second option is that there were almonds used to flavour the cream, as you could taste almondy taste.
When it comes to croissants I was a little disappointed, as they were not as flaky as I expected and a little dry inside. They were more on a soft side than flaky one.
The berry croissant was lovely but could have a little more filling.
The salted caramel hazelnut one was amazing, the praline inside was very delicious, sweet and crunchy! Yum!
Hoping to manage to get pistachio eclair next time :)
M. S.
It's my favourite place for a Friday after work treat :)
Staff is always friendly and smiling and I like when they ask you how you are and how your day has been. They make you feel very welcome.
I love all their pastries and macarons and my favourite one is the one in the picture : the coffee and the tonka bean flavours are another level: DELICIOUS!!!!!
P. M.
Went to Brighton for a day out and found this by chance - but glad we did! Cute shop with friendly staff and great food. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.
We tried the Briochette(simple but tasty), La Pomponette(raspberries were so fresh) and Poulain hot chocolate(average but not bad).
D. W.
Stopped by for coffee and cake. So good, macarons to die for, the chocolate fondant pudding was amazing and a lovely atmosphere.
A. H.
Amazing macaroons. I had this vanilla tart/cream slice. Delicious. You can see the staff take pride in their work. Seating area is small.
J. M.
Had the most amazing afternoon tea here today. Really lovely that you get a choice of what flavour macarons, what cake and what savoury croissant you would like to have. I went for the brie and parma ham croissant, black forest and majito flavour macarons and a chocolate crunch gateaux. All of them were absolutely delicious. You get some other yummy things to eat as well including a some home made vanilla ice cream to finish it off so you certainly won't leave there hungry!! To top it off the service was really attentive and friendly and you never felt rushed at all. Also nice that you can bring your own alcohol along for a small corkage fee. Overall highly recommend and will definitely go back again!
E. J.
Omggg my mind is completely blown away! 5 stars is not enough! I got these two desserts take away as I live in Croydon: firstly I was served by the friendliest staff I've ever met, secondly the desserts were so well packed they survived even the busy and packed train to East Croydon, lastly the taste- oh the taste is magical!! I love it! I will be a regular customer and every time I am down in Brighton I will pop in!
D. M.
Patisserie Heaven!! Came here for breakfast and stayed for brunch! I think my photos speak for themselves but to summarise the cakes were superb, using real butter (as they should but rarely do in my experience!) and incredible attention to detail which warrants the price in my eyes. The coffee was also high quality and so were the breakfast options - delicious. Customer service was also superb and needed a mention. I have nothing but praise for this patisserie in Brighton! #Foodie #FoodHeaven #LoveIt

A nice shop but a bit cramped.
The quality of coffees - inconsistent
Please see the pictures, the Mocha was smooth and tasted okay, the Oat Mocha was just disappointing (looked at the bubbles...)
The beans they use are good quality (from Redroaster), perhaps part-time staff need more training.
Tried their breakfast this morning. For the Paris Breakfast, the butter was very hard, making it very difficult to be spread onto the toasts. Would be great if they could provide butter knifes. The red berry jam was too sweet.
Ordered cakes and pastries from this shop before, again, too sweet.
Macaroons are above average comparing to other shops in Brighton and Hove.
Was expecting a bit more from this shop.
L. H.
What a pretty little place this is! Tastefully decorated, it resembles an authentic Parisian cafe, with it's pretty green foliage wallpaper, pastel pink decor undertones and cute little marble top tables. We devoured their Royal Crunch Cake and had to restrain ourselves from ordering more. Love their gold cutlery and pink crockery - makes it a truly decadent place to slowly enjoy your coffee and a cake. Fantastic service. Highly recommended!
P. T.
Such a treat! A rather unassuming shop front, then walk into a magical experience. Beautiful pastries, tea (3 cups so enjoy) and lovely service too. Afternoon tea looked brilliant too. Just go and enjoy a wonderful treat.
I.
Julien Plumart is probably the most beautiful shop in the whole of Brighton. It sells the best pastries you’ve seen outside France, and the staff speak French too, giving you that real Parisienne boutique vibe. The macarons are serious perfection! Their flavours include rose, black forest, pistachio, red berries, and violette. I have to stop and buy some whenever I’m passing, which I try to do as often as possible!
E. A.
Amazing pâtisserie. I love their pistachio éclairs, Paris Brest éclairs, macarons mademoiselle, mojito macaron... Basically everything in the shop! You really can't go wrong.
O. S.
Definitely the best place to get a delicious treat in Brighton or maybe even Sussex! I just love how delicious everything is! Every single pastry/dessert has its unique flavor, and every single bite of them lets you explore every single ingredient that is put in there with lots of love for you. I have so much to say about Julien's creations, but gonna keep it short. Just go and treat yourself if you are nearby, don't even question it!
V. P.
I was given beautiful macarons, bought from Julien Plumart and they were just wondeful. Highly recommend as a gift!
S. P.
What a lovely little gem this was. Patisseries were to die for. Their coffee was lovely too.
Lovely friendly staff.
A definite must if in Brighton. Would definitely recommend you visit this place.
D. T.
A fantastic relaxing french Cafe out in the middle of Brighton. Such a delight and refreshing welcome to be able to have a taste of real french pastries made by a real French Pastry Chef. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing this shop succeed.
l. w.
Excellent. Perfect patisserie and delicious hot chocolate. Had a snack and also bought some beautiful macarons to take home. Always a must when we visit Brighton.
L. V.
My boyfriend went all the way from London to Brighton to buy me patisserie selection by Julien Plumart. Best Christmas present ever! Thank you!
S. W.
C’est Fantastique! We went to Brighton for a day out, we found it by chance and we came back once more before leaving Brighton for a vanilla cake take away: it’s that good.
What an explosion of flavours: perfect macarrons, great croissants and delicious cakes topped with most tasty coffee. Friendly staff.
We’ll be back!
N. H.
Delicious desserts, worth every penny. I think the pistachio and raspberry eclair is my favourite, it's so hade to choose! There's another Cafe in brighton charging the same price or more for awful desserts, go here instead!!
A. B.
Lovely and delightful pastries and other delicacies. The Macarons are good, although I do believe some competition in Brighton might improve their game a little. There's a slight complacency in this regard. They're good but not the best, but I think they know they're the only ones who really make Macarons in Brighton.
A. M.
Ooh yeah, a feast for the eyes as well as the belly.
The prices reflect the quality, a real treat but not something I could personally afford on a regular basis.
We’ll be back next week for Macarons and Real Hot Chocolate.
H.
Well done! We'll be back. Great coffee, amazing food, both sweet and savoury, excellent staff. It's not often you can find a coffee shop which ticks all the boxes!!
A. W.
Fabulous cakes! So beautifully presented and the taste is sublime. MasterChef winner and it shows. The service is excellent. Well worth a visit if you have a sweet tooth.
L. C.
One of the hidden gems of Brighton! Well, not actually that hidden, but if you've never been, now is the time!
We went for my partners birthday. We were greeted in French, with a happy bonjour as soon as we walked in. We both ordered a croque monsieur, a hot chocolate for me, and an oat latte for my partner.
The food was exceptional, holy hell! And the not chocolate on its own, already blew my socks off.
Service was great, and we ended our meal with pistachio eclairs, and some macarons to go, all of which were delicious. They clearly put heart into their baked goods!
As a final touch, they gave my partner 2 free macarons for her birthday!
Again, pay them a visit, and treat yourself to some delicious food and drinks. You won't regret it!
T. T.
Hands down, the best bakery in Brighton!!! You cannot beat it and if you're visiting for the day, it is literally just 2 mins from the train station so it needs to be your first stop.
B. S.
The croissant here are absolutely delicious and the staff are incredibly warm too.
If you are in Brighton you should come here for breakfast or brunch. The bacon and egg/ham and cheese croissant are the best I've had in a long long time.
E. F.
Lovely little coffee shop close to the train station. The cakes are a piece of art, composed by so many elements well execute that it is a delight for your mouth. I really recommend it.
E. S. P.
Lovely place in Brighton! 🌺 We visited for some breakfast and had a lovely time! Staff was super polite and smiling - we loved that! We ordered some coffee, a fantastic apple tart 🍎 and a cheese & ham croissant. Everything was perfect and super tasty! Definitely recommended for breakfast or for a quick recharging snack!
J. M.
Never had a bad thing off the menu and I’ve tried just about…everything. My weekly coffee and pastry treat. The ice cream flat white is amazing.
Q. Y.
Perfect cake, friendly staff, highly recommended!
R. M.
I have had afternoon tea here with my mum and sister many times and we love it! Great choice of food, really tasty and will return many more times I'm sure!
A. S.
Well… I can only say that this place is highly qualified in my opinion as "Excellent" it is up there with any patisserie in France even though we are in the UK. 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
it would be a pleasure to come back!!! Bravo 👏🏻
S. W.
Beautiful selection of delicious pastries, coffee was lovely too
Y. C.
來布萊頓必訪超美味馬卡龍、甜點、下午茶😋 Best macaron!! Chocolate, seasalt caramel, berries are super ! ★not too sweet, full of flavours, perfect texture.
No need to visit France for good pastry and macaron ! I've tried many patisserie in France, this one is outstanding.
This time me and my friend also tried the afternoon tea set, great value, AMAZING ! Big volume ! All taste great, definitely better than those famous expensive one in London.
Love this patisserie !! Thank you !
A. B.
So much deliciousness but unfortunately we only had time for (great) coffee & macarons, exceptional staff, beautiful decor
M. R. A.
Lovely food if you're in Brighton you need to try it. Lovely staff especially a tall blonde lady who take care of us.
E. C.
Amazing cakes, great service. Coming here is a lovely experience that really makes you feel special. Really strongly recommend you make a trip
J. D.
Fabulous patisserie! Love, love, love!
M.
The staff were very friendly and generous with tasting! Everything was beautiful and delicious, and the coffee was excellent
B. D.
One of Brightons best food venues! Freshly baked and authentic French patisseries, staff are very friendly and helpful, normally eager to share a sample of something delicious with you. Their macarons are the best I've ever come across (try the black forest macaron!), the croissants are easily the best in Brighton. They have a nice selection of teas and coffee. There's a cosy sit down service or take away. The place is very clean. The prices are very reasonable given the high quality and if you get there at the right time of day, they are even more reasonable! They accept cash and card and it's just a lovely little place!
S. L.
As authentic as it gets. Owner and staff are French so there's that. If you like French pâtisseries then this is for you. All the cakes and macarons have unique flavours that could rival Ladurée but without the queue and slightly more affordable prices.
W. A.
Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely atmosphere. I was craving some genuine patisserie and Julien Plumart did not disappoint. My "golden drop" contrasted crisp party with sharp, fruity lemon curd and soft as a cloud Italian meringue before adding a touch of real luxury with a dash of hazelnut praline. My cappuccino was also perfect - I've been so often disappointed by poor cappuccinos with scalded or a badly foamed milk that I've basically given up ordering them. However, I took a chance here and the training and care of the staff shone through.
N. D.
Excellent selection eg of macaroons & pastries complimented by lovely coffee & genuine customer caring staff 🙂
A.
Amazing staff and delicious pastries especially croissant and my expectations are very high as I'm French.
One of the best croissant I ever eaten in my life. They are made with Butter from Poitou-Charentes which is the best one!
Also they are generous about the size.
Thank you to the staff and Corinne for the service, I'll send my clients from London to your café if they go to Brighton!!
À bientôt !
D. P.
So if you're in Brighton or live here this place is a big MUST! Their cakes are incredible; pastries are to die for (almond croissant,,😍). And macarons even better than in Paris itself. Very friendly team everyone seems happy and they give you all their attention, patiently answering all of the questions about all the ingredients and types of cakes and other products. Every week they have something new out so you'll definitely get addicted (just like me) .
K. F.
Stopped for breakfast. Lovely service and great food. Had croque Madame, a croissant and a tea & coffee and all fantastic. Would recommend
D. B. S.
They make the best cappuccinos I have ever had. I always go there when I am in Brighton, even if I have already had my daily morning coffee because their caps are too good to miss.
D. L.
Amazing hidden gem on West street Brighton. Relaxed environment to enjoy amazing cakes, coffee and teas. Book for your high tea, well worth it and value for money!!! Thoroughly enjoyed everything.
R. C.
Brilliant and delicious food.. Great service. Friendly staff. Definitely Would go there again.
M. G.
A wonderful and authentic French patisserie that rivals the best in Paris! Plump macarons, buttery kouign amann at weekends and a stunning lemon meringue tart with just the right amount of tartness. The service in the shop is impeccable too. A real gem in Brighton, and well worth a visit.
Z. K.
Very friendly staff. Attention to details and great food quality. Very much recommended place to go to in Brighton. The cheese and tomato croissant was also so yummy.
D. R. W.
Lovely cakes and a Mocha to die for, wife is a bake off fan so a visit was a must !
S. N.
This place is lovely! Such a great spot for coffee and cake with reasonable prices and the staff were super friendly and attentive.
G. O.
Absolutely smashing place! So fresh and delicious. My son recommends the homemade organic lemonade 👌🏻
P. K.
A very nice place for breakfast and afternoon tea. Very friend staff. Hope to be back
S.
Kind service, delicious pastries, great coffee, normal prices. What else? Loved this place!
J. P.
They hugely helped us out when we needed 20 macaroons for a wedding cake on the day of the wedding after the company we originally ordered from let us down. Not only were they super helpful, their patisseries are amazing and more than reasonably priced. Never knew about this place until we were desperately looking for macaroons, but what a great little find!
S. L.
Vanilla custard tart! Get it! It is good! The pastry base is nice and the custard is also really nice
R. S.
Great pastry, great coffee, staff were super friendly
S. E.
Incredible pastries, perfect coffee and wonderful friendly service. This is simply the best!
D.
I have been coming here for my breakfast every weekend for many years. Their croissants and pastries are to die for and are without doubt, the best in Brighton. Match this with an amazing level of customer service and you have one of the best cafes in Brighton.
L. B.
Love this place, excellent macarons and patisseries, what more is there to say.
P. B.
Great patisserie and coffee. Molly our waitress was friendly and attentive.
B. C.
Great patisserie find not far from the station. Excellent brioche, croissants and cakes. I tried a pistachio éclair and liked it so much I went back for more to eat at home. Great welcome inside the shop and very clean. Also do great takeaway coffee. Definitely will go back next time I'm in Brighton. Merci!
C. P.
Delicious food between the savory side and the pastries you’ll surely find something you will like!
M. L.
Lovely french macaroons at the centre of the high street. We tried the pistachio and black forest and it was amazing. Can't wait tl go back and try the pistachio eclair. 👌👌👌
I. R.
Brighton is lovely and charming. But sometimes you wish you were somewhere else, say, in Paris. Well, no need to go through too many hooplas, Paris is right here in Brighton, and it's called Julien Plumart. Hard not to get addicted to the "bon jour" that greets you when you get in, to the absolutely perfect croissant that will accompany your cafe au lait, and to the splendid way you're treated there from beginning to end. So that's that! Au revoir et à la prochaine fois!
M. A.
Had a giant macaroon with a lemon and berry cream, absolute heaven. Nice cafe, reminds me of the ones you usually find in Paris
J. R.
One of the best proper hot chocolates I ever had in UK. No comment about the macarons, other than that they were heavenly. Props to the guy with glasses serving us, the restaurant was full but he organised us well, so we didn't wait too long for a table and were served promptly. (That was after being served by a bit stressed manager?-I'm assuming) so he flipped the experience around.
f.
Absolutely delicious desserts
S. M.
Fabulous patisserie -- one of the best in the UK! If your calorie budget only allows you to eat one thing from here, make sure it is the delightful "Le Crousillant Au Chocolat"!
I. '. D.
Fabulous service, delicious food. But seriously delicious. Eyes were popping out of heads, from the five year old to the forty five year old, at all the sweet treats. Go there, buy things, get fat.
E.
So I got a cake the other day from Julien Plumart at queens road shop the other day . We had a special occasion. What can I say , amazing cake , great detail in decorating the cake was delicious taste . When you open a the cake 🎂 box it feels as if you are opening a Cartier designed jewellery. So there is no doubt that this is the place to go to , if you want something special as a desert . A great choice
N. R.
After Julian being my favourite on Bake Off I had to visit when I was in Brighton for the day. Amazing service when eating in, even able to cater for my gluten free needs. Will definitely be back
J. S.
Some beautifully decorated cakes and friendly staff. But very limited selection, not much to choose from! Raspberry & almond tart had generous topping but wasn't anything special unfortunately.
M. F.
its where you find fresh and delicious macaroons, Would suggest if you're in Brighton
R. B.
Fantastic quality! Lightest, crunchiest and most buttery croissants in Brighton. A must visit for any pastry connoisseur!
Their range of celebration cakes are beautifully crafted and are a joy to be presented with, as well as to eat.
L. G.
Very nice place, staff is so kind 😊
Everything they offer is really tasty, cannot recommend it enough!
V. X.
No words to describe it. Magnificent delicious selection of savory and sweet mainly options. Macaroons and croissants are from another dimension. You must visit this place of you are in Brighton.
C. D.
Incredible food and wonderful service - the macarons are amazing!
C. T.
Just gorgeous!
Amazing food with superb attention to detail. Lovely staff and quaint coffee shop.
J. M.
Lovely café selection of cakes and pastries, great for a treat if passing!
S. K.
Excellent pastries. Amazing tea. Exceptional service. Just no pastry menu when sat down. That's the only feedback I would recommend. Otherwise definitely worth a visit!
S. W.
Best French pastries in Brighton by far. I buy them at least once a week and they never disappoint. The dine-in brunch options are also very well executed. Genuine excellence all round.
H.
Wonderful hospitality and friendly staff.
Lovely cakes - highly recommended.
S. L.
The best pastries shop I have ever visit! We stayed at Brighton for two days and can’t wait to go back for breakfast the other day. Great coffee and pastries ! Very polite staffs and clean .
J. Z.
Excellent place, croquet Madame and pistachio croissant was absolutely amazing.
M. P.
Best patisserie in town, easy to get in and have a table during the week, worth the queue during the weekend for the special croissants and pain au chocolat
s.
Such a lovely experience from the warm and friendly greeting to the exquisite food. Croque Madame amazing with a perfectly cooked runny egg! Pistachio eclair highly recommended by my brother and the macarons were soooooo good. The best we've tasted by far. I was even kindly offered a complimentary sample macaron! Please try this place - you won't regret it!
G. C.
The pastries are out of this world. When you think of those ideal pastries in France, crispy and buttery with floaty layers in the middle, this place has them! The staff are absolutely lovely and the store handles covid protocols with aplomb. I would have attached a photo but couldn't wait and ate the pastry too quickly!
C. M.
Beautiful cakes, ordered a birthday cake for my aunt on the day and staff were very polite and accommodating.
D. M.
One of the best local cafes and patisseries in Brighton. The waitresses are very kind and they know how to treat a customer. The cappuccino is awesome and the macarons too.
It is a great place to work too!
G. G. -. A.
Lovely cafe. Macarons are superb. Great place for lunch or afternoon tea. The quality of ingredients is really really good. Eclairs are extremely delicious and you can find lots of ideas for gifts in there too. The packaging is elegant and safe to carry. Julien is really lovely . Definitely the soul of the place.
O. L.
Great place with amazing treats or brunch options.
L. M.
This morning I woke up with the crave of a proper French croissant, so I went on google and I search for the most authentic sold in Brighton and Julien plumart appeared as first choice. I paid a visit and wow I was totally transported to a proper French patisserie, looked great, the gentlemen and lady behind the counter were so friendly. I took my plain croissant and I ate it on my way through the sunshine Had an aroma of caramelised butter the inside; was puffed up whilst the outside was crispy and golden, it totally exceeded my expectations and made this little gem Of a shop one of my favourite places to be in Brighton. I second to the fact that so far is the best French patisserie in Brighton and I invite all of you readers to have a stop to this place, definitely you will not be disappointed.
S. R.
Best almond croissant for only £1.50! For such a delicious, baked to perfection treat, it's the best price I've seen around. I'm only getting it from Julien Plumart if I can help it. Their macaroons are delicious too, if you don't believe it, there are usually tasters near the 'till.
I. H.
Lovely food - and best of all - still delivering in lockdown! We sent some treats to my sister who is a doctor working in Brighton and she was delighted. They even threw in an extra pastry for free. Great stuff.
R. G.
Yummy and authentic French pastries! Always beautifully presented and consistently delicious. Simply, they know what they're doing and do it well. The St Tropez box is my go-to weekend brunch.
A. C.
I cannot go to Brighton without buying a box full of the best macaroons you could ever wish for, so fresh, tasty and just perfect. Not to be confused with cheap boxed ones from M&S and other stores as these are genuinely the BEST EVER! Love them x
M. M.
This is the second time I've been and the afternoon tea is great in here. The young boy with curly hair is very friendly and polite and lovely. The lady working today really disappointing customer service, and I say that having worked in restaurants for 15 years myself. We had booked afternoon tea for my friend's birthday and my friend was ordering some extra cakes to take away and the lady decided to charge my friend for the afternoon tea without asking if she was the one paying for it. Then she decided to tell us they were now officially closed even though our table wasn't cleared and we were supposed to be given ice cream as part of the afternoon tea. However her attitude put us off and I stated we no longer wanted the ice cream but she didn't do anything to apologise or offer us what we had paid for. Otherwise the macaroons and sandwiches are amazing. Our waiter was excellent!
Y. T.
The macarons were fabulous. Perfect place to have a breather.
L. B.
What a delight! The most gorgeous pastries, cookies, macarons - all made on the premises. My daughter and I enjoyed a Paris breakfast (toasted brioche, homemade jam, coffee) which was super. Fantastic service too. Close your eyes and you can imagine you're on holiday in Paris!
M. G.
Unique style of French Desserts. The combination of cake and macrons is just amazing.
E. M.
Been here a couple of time for takeaway only due to lockdown. Very nice coffee and pastries. Very close to the station too which is good if you commute. Highly recommended!
C. U.
Best chocolate mouse cake ever; beautifully decorated and packaged, with the great macaroons that came with the cake, and for a reasonable price as well. Highly recommend the Royal Crunchy Chocolate if you're feeding more than 4 people.
D. V.
Nice tea and infusions. Very good patisserie and nice selection of desserts. The chocolate mousse (crunch) is amazing as well as the apple tart.
The macaroons are excellent and flavoursome.
Nice hidden gem.
L. P.
Do go here
Everything a growing boy needs, meat, butter, cream, sugar, eggs and cheese.
Had the bacon and egg croissant, was epic. Having the croque monsieur next time as clearly, it looked epic and was so jealous when one of the other customers had one.
The cakes are amazing as well, so is the coffee.
A. E.
Fantastic patisserie. The Macarons are so flavoursome but the Flourless Chocolate Cake and Lemon Meringue are the highlights for me.
M. V.
I love this place, great cake and macarons. Amazon service. Can't wait for it to reopen for sit in to get their afternoon tea. Highly recommend it.
A. C.
Pure art and talent in the form of these beautiful Deserts and pastries. First heard of Julien Plumart on Deliveroo and ordered their divine Croque Monseurs for breakfast with a wonderful complementary french macaron then we had to go back for more. Today we tried their chocolate and toffee tarts as well as a giant raspberry and pistachio macaron absolutely delicious and wonderful to see someone so passionate about their craft.
D. C.
I walked in for a mid-afternoon coffee and treated myself to a couple of macarons also, excellent and smooth coffee, the staff are beyond welcoming, extremely accommodating and wonderful hosts. Not only was the food and coffee excellent, but it was also fantastically low-priced (only £5 for a coffee and two macarons!!).
Strongly recommend.
C. M.
Bought some patisserie from here to celebrate my wife's birthday and they were sensationally made, delicious, and beautiful to look at. Would definitely come back to treat ourselves or for another celebration, or even just because. Well positioned close to the station as well
M. J.
We were last sunday in the one in Queens Road, the service is a 5 star service, the front desk gentleman was very welcoming and attentive, also the young guy. I have ordered a flourless brownie and I have to say it was delicious, I am very impressed about how good it was. We recommend this place to anyone who want good quality and good service. 100% french!
M. V. G.
Such a lovely place to have a coffee and dessert. Stuff is super friendly and very nice and they make you feel very welcomed. Macaroons are great, I recommend to try.
S. E.
Fantastic range of patisserie, it was hard to choose just one. The coffee is great as well as the service.
M.
Loved this little cafe. Great sweet things and quiet covid friendly (they take alot of steps to keep it covid safe, which i appreciate). Can't wait for one to open closer to me
C. W.
Amazing french as everyone greets you in French. Amazing classic French deserts and danishes.
J. R.
This place is on a par with Real patisserie for expertise, and possibly pips it at luxury cakes. Coffee could be better though. Prices are very reasonable - even cheap! For the quality you get. Actually the cakes - mousses etc are amazing, I love this place!
P. L.
Absolutely fabulous service and quality of food. We have used Plumart for many years, for cakes and macarons but their takeaway service is superb. Freshly cooked and always with extra gifts which are so appreciated. 5 Star company and Julian is a wonderful craftsman. Makes the boredom of Lockdown less tedious and very enjoyable. Vive la Plumart!!!
S. T.
I'm a regular customer! Best Pain au Raisin i have ever had!
A. S.
I haven't been here before. Very French! Coffee was great, but the almond tart was better. Come here for your macarons, loads of flavours.
S. M.
Lovely little patisserie with wonderful staff. I really enjoyed their coffee and macarons. I also appreciate their efforts towards reduction of food waste and have gotten pastries off the toogoodtogo app as well.
J. B.
Delightful. Authentic french pâtisserie and cafe selling exquisite artisan goodies, great selection of macarons and cakes. Better macaron flavours than Lauderee? Mmm....you need to do a taste test. This gem is on your way to and from Brighton Train Station. It is a must for morning coffee or afternoon tea. Staff are friendly and delightful. Get here early to get a table. Reasonably priced for such excellent quality. French style boxed packaging for gifts, especially macarons, they also do savouries such as croque madam and croque monsieur. Highly recommended. Xxxx
A. S.
Lovely helpful & friendly staff making everyone comfortable and incredible food.
L. A.
Amazing place to stop for tea and cake. Or like we did: coffee, breakfast and then cake! Great if you are on your way back to the train station with a bit of time to kill, as it is very close by. Can also recommend a box of Macaroons to take with you on your journey.
P. S.
Without a doubt the best macarons I've ever tasted. The range of flavours are fantastic and the texture of the macarons... C'est magnifique! They're not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. The cakes are also delicious... Oh and they have macaron samples to try for free in case you don't believe me :)
B. S.
I dream of the bacon and egg croissants and have to ration myself.
B. C.
Delicious pastries, macaroons etc. Quality was exceptional. Just couldn't be bothered using a flask for the hot water for the tea. Bit of an uneccessary faff on. Some off it ended up in my bag.
T. O.
Wonderful little tea house/cafe with the most delicious croques and amazing selection of cakes and pastries. The staff are really friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I thoroughly recommend this lovely place!
V. M.
Really nice place, good customer service and nic nice patisserie/ viennoiserie..
B. V.
Absolutely lovely :) I've had the tea for two before but today was exceptionally wonderful. Lovely new refurb with much more space to the tables. The two ladies who served us today were soooo lovely!! Very attentive, extremely nice and apologetic when there was no music as there was issues with the internet ( nobodies fault and didn't matter in the slightest! ) still a lovely experience, and why I keep coming back! And amazing taste and value for the tea xxx
C. G. (.

Served by a lovely girl today who was very knowledgeable of the product, got recommended some lovely chocolate hazelnut slice and 2 lemon pies. Delicious, such a lovely treat.
P. R.
Hazelnut in lemon tart was for me a great disappointment, too sweet, not a good match . Plus the noises coming from the kitchen were not very pleasant . it's a shame because I usually enjoy going to this place
A. S.
Great place for brunch or afternoon tea. Pastries, brioche sandwiches and croissants are all worth picking up - or enjoy in the lovely backroom

What incredible food! My first order today through Deliveroo but it will be the first of many, so impressed, to prepare food like that is an art!
L. H.
Would have been 5 stars but the flasks of Luke warm water to fill up tea pots are totally unnecessary faff. Lovely waiter and waitress.
