Reviews of Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park
J. T. L.
Had an awesome time at Avon Valley at the weekend. The most welcoming staff. Grace in particular was awesome. Super friendly and helpful. Always checking in on you around the park also. The tent was amazing, 6 bed bell tent, fire pit outside, log burner heated jacuzzi, electricity. Shared toilets and showers which were very modern and super clean.
The park itself was amazing too. Loads of animals and so many activities. One section was unfinished but that didn't stop or family from having the best time.
Thank you Avon Valley.
Only thing I would improve on is to offer memberships.
Thank you
S. L.
We had a great time visiting the Christmas light trail. The lights were amazing, there was interactive activities along the way which made it very fun for the children. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The funfair at the end was great too. The only thing I would say is needed more signage around the park and more food vans.

Review for Pumpkin Patch evening.
Much better entertainment wise than 2021. We preferred the new layout, was much easier to move around and see where to go. Loved the pizza place, really well done food. Very happy to find toffee apples too! The mini games were fun, never thought slingshotting mini pumpkins would be so fun! We had no kids in our party but we’re impressed with what was available for that age group. Bumper cars looked really fun!
Have to say, the pumpkin lantern tunnel and decorations this year were brilliant. Lots of photo opportunities! The costumed actors joined in with us quite a bit, which was really funny. There were places to sit by the photo areas but would have liked more within the pumpkin field.
This has now become a tradition for us and we will be coming back next year 🎃

Good animal park for children where they can touch and feed some of them. Less animals compared to when we visited a few years ago. Visitors could paddle small boats in the little lake but that is no longer there.
Few animatronic dinosaurs where there used to be animals. Children could drive a small electric jeep around a track where dinosaurs were setup.
Miniature railway was fun. There were lots of hand washing facilities placed around the farm since children could touch animals. Talks were given about the animals. Loads of picnic tables around the farm. Good play area.
Toilet facilities were good. Getting to the farm was a bit tricky since there was a road closure.
Tickets were expensive compared to Bristol zoo.

I absolutely loved this day out,
As a massive dinosaur fan, I think j enjoyed it more than my eight year old son.
I was so excited by all the dinosaurs we saw.
There was so many shows that were really cool.
I was a bit taken aback by the price when booking it, but after the amazing day we had, it was well worth it!
R. E.
Great place for all ages, all the activities are free, this was great as the Grandchildren kept going on the rides. My only moan would be the price of the food for the quality and quantity that you get. Would recommend taking a picnic. But it was a fantastic day, with brilliant staff, who are so happy to help and full of information.

Visited for Fear Festival at Avon Valley. This was our second visit. We purchased the RIP Pass for £80 which gave us complimentary drinks and snacks and unlimited fast track. That was great.
It's a hard surface with only a few muddy patches, the actors were spooky and and very good. They really did scare is!
The new exorcism attraction was good with brilliant acting.
S. M.
This is an absolute gem of a place. We have loved it so much. Cannot wait to come back. After the wildlife park etc closes to the public, campers can stay and play as long as you like. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have active kids
L. P.
Came here for FEAR and wow! First time I have ever done anything like this and shall definitely be back next year. The effort they put into it definitely paid off and will be back again next year.
The actors and sets as well as the story really make it feel scary and you feel apart of it. I do recommend getting Fast Track or VIP tickets as the queues were quite long - worth paying extra!
There is so much to do and it was all reasonably priced so worth getting there on time. Definitely something everyone should do at least once in their life.
It was well spaced out but luckily didn't have to do too much walking to get where you wanted to be and had a good seating area if you wanted to rest and take it all as well be scared while the scary actors walked around.
J. W.
Great experience, haven't been since before Covid. So was a great day out for me and the family. My son (6 years old) loved The Christmas Night's night out, with getting to see Santa, Elves and The Grinch.

Excellent camping/glamping experience over 4 days with the family. Camp was very clean and not overcrowded. I wasn’t too sure about the outdoor showers prior to our visit but they had hot running water and are kept very clean perfect even on a cold rainy day. All staff are very welcoming and clearly enjoy working at Avon Valley. Facilities inside farm are so good we booked the VIP feeding of meerkat’s and it was well worth it, kids loved it and so did the big kid! :-D Best part for us was the party at the end of each day - dancing in the foam party (bring a towel) We’ll definitely be returning.
j. n.
Was here for a corporate event but had the use of everything, we stayed over on their campsite which was lovely with a large pitch and electric. There was lots to do especially for the children but also alot of space for everyone, the animals was lovely and we enjoyed a river side walk with our dog. The toilets were clean and had supplies of deodorant, wet wipes, sun cream. The staff were lovely and very helpful, we had a wonderful time
J. K.
Due to the rain a few of the attractions were closed. However, it was a decent day out for the kids, lots of space for them to run about and animals they can feed. Not sure about the food, we took in our own food. Would recommend during the summer months.
A. T.
Great for families lots to keep kids occupied with indoor slides and plenty to do if it rains. River access has a great slipway perfect for kayaking and paddle boards. Camp site is small but well laid out good loos and showers. Plenty of parking. Easy to find .
N. S.
Had a great weekend camping (pre-pitched tent) and attending The Bitcoin Adventure on my birthday 2nd July 2022. Also the theme park looked great though I didn't pay much attention to it.
K. W.
Absolutely awesome day with lots to do for our 2 year old... he didn't stop all day (exhausting but great to see). The mixture of indoor and outdoor activities with animals and rides was amazing and then there's the Dinosaur walk... wow!!! We'll definitely be going back and recommending to anyone and everyone...
I. B.
We have camped here for the week and loved it!
We're a family of 4 and our expectations have been exceeded - we have had a wonderful week.
The farm itself has brilliant range of facilities. We loved the play parks, crazy golf, train rides and tractor ridss. Indoor soft play, Riverside walks and the New dinosaurs!
Our girls especially enjoyed the fact that campers can gain access to all the facilities after hours as well meaning the few camping families get (almost) private access to all the aforementioned facilities.
The staff team on site are amazing and always welcome you with a smile. Whether they are on the campsite team, behind the check in desk, or walking around with a giant living dinosaur the team here are great.
S. M.
Went to the Pumpkin Funfair. Hadn’t seen it advertised but could see the lights while cycling along the Bristol-Bath cycle path. Had a great random night out! Dodgems and Waltzers were ace and the pumpkins were plentiful! Five stars!
C. R.
Took the grandchildren ,they had a super day. Plenty of picnic places, enjoyed all the animals and rides.
Only complaint, reception should tell you that you need tokens for some rides , children could not be bothered to go back to reception. Other wise 5 stars.
J. T.
Great place with lots to do. Def value for money for entry, although maybe not so much when buying food..
E. S.
We’ve had a long weekend stay at Avon Valley, we stayed in the pre-erected Base Camp tents. The campsite was perfect, lots of green space to run around and clean toilets and showers. Very close to all the amenities! Jim and Grace look after you very well too throughout your stay. We really enjoyed the regularly scheduled activities but it was definitely the after hours access to the park that made our stay extra special. It was really nice to go and say good morning to all the animals before the park got too busy, and then hours in the play barn at night before bed to wear the kids out.
Food was really good, my nephew declared the pizza from the On the Deck bar to be his most favourite pizza. We also really enjoyed the brisket from the food truck.
We booked the VIP animal experience as an added treat. We had such a great experience meeting Sami the meerkat! The kids were a bit nonplussed (and one of them terrified she’d get bitten), but it was easily the highlight of our stay at Avon Valley and the kids have made me promise we’ll make it a yearly experience! I’m happy to oblige as I enjoyed it so much too! Brad, our guide, was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and made us feel every bit the VIP as we got to take Sami for a walk and go into the Meerkat enclosure. We can’t wait to book again!
We’ve had such a great weekend we plan to book for all the upcoming seasonal events (pumpkin patch, fireworks and Santa) and then again next year for a long summer weekend. The staff really make the place, all really friendly and happy to help!
S.
Amazing day out, very friendly staff and great day out for all!
Lots of things to do for all the family, the staff today went out their way with the service they provided, my little sister enjoyed the dinosaur research lab experience and the staff in there made her day!
I would say the tickets for on the high side especially if there are lots of kids in the family, but for 2 adults and 1 child I didn’t think it was too bad! I would definitely go again!
Thank you all for a fab day.
h. b.
Loved taking my 13 year old here when she was little and now I have a 3 year old who also enjoys it here.
The foam party to finish when we came was awesome everyone was enjoying it and getting involved.
My 3 year old loved the dinosaur part of the park
R. G.
My 3 and 5 year old had the perfect day! So much to do, definitely more than a full day. We'll definitely be back soon
A. R.
We had a fantastic day visiting the park.
My granddaughter was so excited and couldn't choose which activity to do first as there was so much to choose from.
Our favourite part was the dinosaurs walk, that was epic.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
We didn't get to see everything as we ran out of time, so will be back soon.
J. B.
A fantastic day out! Plenty to keep children of all ages entertained! Staff all friendly, helpful and full of fun! We normally carry a picnic, however decided to buy food as a treat. We weren't disappointed! Burgers and fries were freshly prepared and cooked perfectly! The children enjoyed the adventure park, dinosaur trail, animals, bounce mat, go-cats, soft play and the foam party at the end! Thank you We will be back
I. P.
We all had such an awesome time with our animal encounters. Our guide was patient, knowledgeable and managed to tame our group of kids. It did not feel rushed and everyone had a very enjoyable time. I cannot recommended it enough.
J. B.
Had a fab timing camping at Avon Valley for 3 nights.
The park itself was amazing....the kids loved it. So much to experience and keep them entertained.
The campsite was clean and tidy, pitches are a great size. The only negative was that the facilities need 'upgrading'. The toilets are fine, but the hand washing facility is the same sinks as the washing up area, which feels a little unhygienic. Showers were OK, however you cannot adapt the temperature, so it was pot luck if you got hot, cold, or a nice temperature
Overall though, it was great. Staff are friendly and super helpful. We will definately be returning.
I. T.
AMAZING! Had such a great fun! Everything you want and more! Animals, playareas, shows, face paintings, mini golf, etc....great value for money!
B. C.
The Dinosaur adventure is absolutely stunning! Couldn't be better! The dinosaurs are so realistic. And the best part were kids jeep rides!! and they're included in the price. Overall there is sooo many activities for kids at Avon Valley, could easily spend there all day. Great customer service and good food selection! 5 stars!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A. O.
What a great find, wonderful adventure park with animals, and the new dinosaur adventure trail is fantastic- staff especially a guy called dan, or Daniel was amazing and a lady in the t rex inclosure who had the puppet triceratops was also amazing, clean space lots to do and see and good value at £15 pp i think .
Nice clean toilets and a really fun train and tractor ride which was included in the admission, the indoor play area was fun too and the foam party at the end was epic , things that aren't good..... the food stall wad disgusting so take a packed lunch it was called loaded fries i believe and was absolutely terrible at £6.50 for a burger I'd expect more , also having to pay a fee for online booking when your advised to due to ( covid) is wrong in my opinion, but hey a really fantastic enjoyable day out
J. O.
We had a great day at the Christmas Experience and thought it was excellent value for money! Lots of activities, two shows and a very good choice of toys from Santa. The staff were all brilliant and our granddaughter absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend. Thanks to all for the hard work that went into making this a lovely festive time.
M. A.
A full days entertainment. The great thing is the price included all the rides (except one) so the children could have a go on everything. Plenty of picnic tables if you prefer to take your own food. A good experience for the children to feed the animals. They also enjoyed the Animal Handling and Pig Race, The Dinosaurs are very impressive. We'll go be going back.
L. L.
Went with my sister-in-law, niece and her 2 "full on" kids. Didn't quite know what to expect but it was a lovely show of lights around the trees with all the dinosaurs lit up and with their Xmas scarves and hats. Nice little ride on the Elf Express with very jolly helpers! Then the magical forest with 3D specs making all the lights into tiny Christmas trees. Last on the route was the little animal petting stables with a nativity in the corner, donkeys, goats, sheep, guinea pigs, rabbits and even a lovely little meerkat. A bit further there was a freshly donut and crepe stand and candyfloss stand. Santa's helpers and the Elves were all good fun and encouraging to the kids to sing along and join in the magic. All and all a good time and very enjoyable and not an extortionate price for a family outing.
A. B.
Oh my Gosh I can't believe how wonderful this place is! From Animals (love the meerkat and alpacas) and the spectacular Dinosaurs to the wonderful apparatus for children and fantastic entertainment, this truly is the best place to takes kids on earth, or at least in South West England anyway! Anove all, what has truly got me feeling so heartwarmed by this place; is the amount of effort made for and attention given to my disabled 4 year old son! First Dr Felton in the Dino Lab using makaton to communicate then Gracie, whom in the foam party, sat and played with my Arthur for half an hour abd I saw him respond in such way I knew their interaction was beneficial to his development! I was so grateful and impressed, thank you so much Avon Valley!
A. O.
It seemed a bit pricey, but we ended up spending the whole day here. Indoor slides are brilliant, the animals are interesting but most of the animal "events" are a bit weak. For example "cuddle a bunny" ended up being a single guinea pig on a table that the kids could pet.
There are new attractions since I was last there about 5 years ago - a cool animatronic dinosaur exhibit, and a little jeep ride (kids drive the Jeep!).
Great day out, would do it again.
S. B.
We visited the magical Christmas Nights Light Trail and loved the spectacular colours lighting up the trees and lake! Dinosaur Valley takes on a whole new dimension and we have to applaud the staff among the trail who entertained and interacted with the children, the elves were brilliant!! Good value for money.
M. M.
Amazing we came here for safari and it was really good fun. Very safe and all the staff we encountered were really friendly.
Since attended for the fireworks and another excellent evening. Doug it was great to see you working so hard and taking such pride in your business. The little speech before you launched the fireworks brought tears to my eyes. has indeed been a hard two years.for everyone as you said and of course for you and the future.of Avon valley. Can't wait to return for the Christmas nights 🌲🌲
k. m.
We had a lovely fun filled day, lots to do for the kids lovely picnic areas our girls really enjoyed themselves,
k. J.
Went for a day out with family to celebrate my nieces birthday. For 2 adults, 1 child and toddler, admission was £89.50. I was thinking at the time that maybe there's more to this place being than I thought with the prices being so high but I was wrong.
I'm not going to totally talk it down as it was a nice day out with the animals, some activities for the kids and play areas. My son enjoyed the train ride and the spinning swing ride but I wouldn't say this place warrants such a high ticket price. The fact that the adult and child tickets are the same price is wrong in my opinion and there is no option for a family ticket either which alot of places now provide.
The food was OK but no options for meals so things like burgers and chips were separate. Not a huge option for kids either. I had a chicken burger which was ruined by the addition of a chilli sauce which wasn't mentioned on menu so I didn't enjoy it. My son had the chicken strips and chips which he seemed to enjoy.
Indoor soft play was good and all the kids enjoyed themselves but it lacked seating for parents and guardians to sit and observe. Some picnic tables or benches wouldn't go amiss in there.
L. A.
Visiting with 9 & 13yr old, was concerned it would be too young for them, but actually it was a Great day out. Helped that the 13yr old loves animals and wasn’t too big to enjoy all the play areas, and different things to do
R. G.
(Christmas light trail) Very good lots for kids to do all the way along, And not too many people ..at other light shows you're sometimes a bit crammed all together. Sadly as it was around the time you usually eat we didn't realise all the food stalls would be closed by the time we reached the end, So everyone was very hungry. Has been out best Christmas experience day yet though was lovely. Would say the rides are a tad little expensive on the tokens though.
C. B.
We had a good day out here on Saturday. There was loads to do, great parks and also a few rides, along with animals as well.
The staff were 5 star in my opinion, friendly, helpful and enjoying what they were doing.
My review stops short of a full 5 stars as there wasn’t very good food or drink options available, and while it is stated on the website that the cafe is closed, there is just one place to get a coffee and the quality was poor (again however, staff were brilliant). It’s a shame that this let down what was otherwise a great day out - just take a picnic and a flask of drinks and you’ll be ok!
J. G.
I had a great time with my family from feeding the donkeys to exploring there amazing dinosaurs, I would definitely recommend for a good day out 😁
J. C.
Absolutely loved our visit tonight for the pumpkin nights absolutely fabulous even with the rain our children loved it. Loved the characters walking round e.g Jack Christmas the wicked witch of the west, the ghost and the patch people - Value for money! Will definatly be return here for this event. The funfair rides fairly priced we had £20s worth of tickets and the kids went on the rides the wanted and we used the last tickets for bumper cars as a family! All contact less- food was nice. beer tent & staff were great and the fire show was great all round great experience
y.
Pumpkins are very cute and have different patterns. The staff are friendly. I recommended everyone to visit. ahhah
L. V.
Outstanding play area for children with a large variety of different activities! Safe and well maintained with great access to bars and cafés. Only down side was the slow service at these. Absolutely loved our camping stay and out of hours access to the park
A. C.
Our vist was amazing we had a 6 and 1 year old so much to do worth every penny first time of going and definitely not our last. All staff were very polite and welcoming and very entertaining for both children. Also it was very clean and tidy. Good price for food and drinks
Thank you
M. L.
Great value package and well managed experience. The Explorers were on the ice very quickly, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was jolly good for the price. The skating rink was well managed and not too busy. A really fab evening, thanks.
R. M.
Was wondered my 11 year old would be bored but we both really enjoyed the day the mini golf and especially the ice creams!
G. H.
We had a great day at Avon Valley, we thought it was a bit pricey when we booked it up but we were pleasantly surprised! The children's rides were free to go on so that made up for having to spend a small fortune on the safari truck, swing ride or little train etc. The food was quite expensive from the loaded fries wagon for what we got, I liked how it was all cooked fresh to order but the portions were rather small considering how much it cost us.
Overall a great day was had by all.
K. h.
Our second time camping at Avon Valley. This year we decided to try out the Glamping, the whole experience was excellent, the staff were kind and friendly... always taking the time to interact with our boys. Checking if all ok and if we needed anything. The facilities were clean and the shower was lovely and hot. Comfy beds... firepit, everything we needed. We really enjoyed pizzas on the deck and the boys loved playing in the park until sunset. Our children were completely entertained morning, noon and night. We camp alot and Avon Valley is one our best experiences...Cant wait to come back again. Thank you guys ❤️
D. W.
The pumpkin experience was great! It wasn't too busy even for a weekend. The pumpkins were great quality and not as expensive as we expected. My daughter loves riding in the wheelbarrow and the rides and attractions after were a great addition
S. H.
Visited fear avon, the best scare mazes I've experienced! Queue lines were short, acts were amazing, the fire show was spectacular!
N. S.
We visited yesterday for my son's 3rd birthday and had the most amazing day.
Lots of things to do to keep the kids entertained and absolutely loved the Dino jeeps.
We also had a VIP encounter experience with the owls which was incredible and then met Sammie the meerkat which was a surprise and such a treat.
We finished off in the foam party which was lots of fun.
Highly recommend visiting!
M. B.
Our first thoughts when we arrived was it was a lot smaller than we had expected, and with a animal encounter booked at 3:30 and us arriving at 11, we were worried we wouldn’t be able to fill the time. We were wrong lol!
There was so much to do here, the train, tractor train, play area, we were kept busy all day.
My daughter is 6 and she loved the quad bikes, (additional charge of £2 per bike, cash only for these), Jeep’s and the dinosaur research centre. My husbands favourite part was the pig racing which was so fun.
All in all we had about 1/2 hr where we did sit around but tbh the park put on a bubble machine which they had managed well with the Covid restrictions, but my daughter didn’t want to go in.
The Meerkat encounter was the best part of our day and would definitely recommend it, and as we did it at the end of the day it was even more special as it was quiet and you could really make the most of it all. The ranger who was with us was so informative and friendly, you could see the passion in what they do there.
We have shown our families our day out and they now want to go and we would definitely revisit, so it’s a big thumbs up for us.
J. N.
Lovely time ice-skating. No queues for food and drinks at the bar adjoining the ice-rink and prices were reasonable. A walk around the lights and past the dinosaurs after dark was magical. A lovely evening.
D. E.
Thank you so much to Dan and Avon Valley for our VIP Experience! It was absolutely amazing and incredible value for money. Dan is a great host and particularly patient/gentle with little children. He didnt rush us with anything and showed great knowledge and care for all the animals. It was also clear from the response of the animals as we were going round that they love him too! I even got to meet 'Valerie the Goat' who I named during Lockdown Live! Cant recommend this enough and we wish you all the best as you continue to open up over the Summer.
G. M.
Had a great time here. Food is expensive, take a picnic.
M. B.
Absolutely beautiful place and so much to do but we missed quite a few things as we had to wait 45 minutes for our food (2x chicken and fries, 1x burger, and 1x loaded fries) and I thought £7 was a lot for a few chips and 2 pieces of chicken. But other than that it's a lovely place and I would definitely recommend going (just take your own food)
L. L.
Visited for the Fear Park. Really, really well put together mazes, brilliant performances by all the actors. The podium dancers seemed a little pointless, food is crazy expensive and need more options/vendors because the queues were huge. Besides the mazes there are some basic funfair games which I think should be expanded upon. The biggest complaint is the parking, all the lights were turned off so unless you've managed to park very close you'll spend a lot of time trying to find your car.
J. J.
Brilliant Halloween event. So many exciting extras for a decent price. Throughly enjoyable day. ( 2019)
Visited Pumpkin patch today 🎃 Brilliant couple of hours. Pumpkins are fairly priced and plentiful. With lots of wheelbarrows for transportation. Fairground was reasonably priced for that kind of attraction. Recommend
(2021)
K. L.
Great for kids but noisy to camp there. Rail line with regular trains passing day and night and can hear planes preparing to land at Brisrol. 3 nights with no sleep at all. Would go back for day trip only. Staff very friendly and caring. Eating and drinking on site was a rip off. 2 small bottles of coke £4.90
T.
Will update review when I go there for the Wildlife Park (I was there with the kids for the Halloween/pumpkin/funfair event).
Given that all the rides (and any pumpkins you buy) are very expensive, it seems like taking the mickey to charge £5 each to get in too. Bag of sweets: £10, cheapest ride: £3, £4 for one of the non-mechanical (I would have thought cheaper to maintain) rides.
Fare to say that the kids did love it though.
A. D.
Great for kids, the water and sand play area and the dinosaurs were a hit and the staff were helpful but some areas looked a bit tired with some defects on the big wooden climbing area and the boulder walk. Oh and the coffee is terrible! Otherwise its a good place to spend a few hours with the kids
K. M.
Absolutely amazing. The staff are so nice and accommodating, I'm in a wheelchair and almost everywhere was accessible and the only bit that wasn't, they went to get a ramp for me. The animals are lovely. Great trip 10/10 recommend
K. D. M.
Even though it rained heavily and we had never done anything like this we thought it was brilliant, the quality of the pumpkins were amazing. The food was brilliant, very expensive but brilliant and just all round great fives and will be definitely be doing it again.
T. P.
Amazing day at Avon Valley Christmas Experience. There were 3 adults and a 4 year old in our party. We got there for when the park opened at 9.30am and were entertained all day until 4pm. Gingerbread man decorating, Elf Express Train, Rudolph Show, Soft Toy making factory, indoor play barn, making bags of reindeer food, dino valley, outdoor play areas, farm animals, reindeer, and of course the Santa's show and a photo with Santa. Santa gives the children a gold ticket to take to the toy factory to choose a toy of their choice. The toys are real good quality and probably cost at least half of the ticket price, so the day is really good value. The funs fair and ice rinkvare added bonuses, that you have to pay for separately. Highly recommend and we will be going back next year.
J. F.
Went to Fear Scream Park, what an atmosphere!
Be ready for the unexpected 😂
All the attractions are amazing! My advice, don't wear light or nice clothing.
Food and drink was great! Facilities are better than I expected.
K. R.
Camping and glamping great staff very friendly and helpful. Park is great for young children up to 12

When visiting Avon Valley for the Fear Scarefest, i had a great experience of all the walk around scaremazes and the exorcism 🤡
L. D. (.
A great family day out. We stayed overnight & had everything we needed, including access to the park after hours.
We also had free entry to the park the next day and a few hours before they opened for day customers.
c. w.
Great place to pick pumpkins and see Christmas lights. We love it here. Lots of toilets and baby changing. When the park is open there is so much to do in ludong a massive play area and miniature train.
A. H.
We went to Pumpkin Patch Night and it will be our new Halloween Tradition. It was great fun and the actors were so wonderful in Character and so fantastic interacting with kid. Thank you!
J. K.
A really lovely family day out with loads to do for all ages. All staff were charming and enthusiastic despite the freezing temperatures. Very impressed and would definitely go again x
D. M.
Good experience for adults and children.
Have food and drinks facilities, toilets etc.
S. F.
Outstanding! Had an amazing experience and will return often. The dinosaurs were beyond amazing, so realistic and huge! Amber & her team entertained to the max and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Without Ambers advice, I would never have known about the boomerang ticket (half price then free!) wow!
Thanks again for a perfect day!
L. H.
What a great family fun day out for all ages.. it was our first visit here and we really wasn't disappointed. Car park was a great start lots of space to park, we arrived for open at 10am no issues getting us all in.
There really was so much to do and see we, the girls loved the rowing boat and Jeeps the best.. They was great fun. Weather was perfect for us, they had a splash pool out for the kids due to the heat which I thought really was great. We didn't get to do everything so we will def be back.
Value for money 10/10..

We had my 5 year oldS party on Sunday at Avon Valley and wanted to feedback about the party host, Amber. SHe was such a good host and ensured we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble and was great to watch her playing with some of the kids. She made the party so easy for us and we are so grateful for her help in making the party one to remember!
K. S.
Visited with a 1 year old and he had a wonderful time. The kids play area is large with lots to do for different ages. Cafe serves hot food, cakes, tea and coffee. Food was good, well priced and decent portion. Catered for vegan and veggie too. Fun the see the farm animals and interact with, there are assistants to help and teach. Lots of kids play areas.
G. &. A. C.
Amazing couple of days with the kids. Great campsite from where you can access the park (and the bar🍻🍕) even after closing time. So much to do in the park - did 3 days and still didn't want to leave. Highlights included all the animals, mini jeep riding, HUGE slides (indoor and out) and even managed to get out on our canoe from their jetty. Huge thanks to all the amazing staff.
T.
It was nice to visit such a dedicated pumpkin patch however the prices of the pumpkins was jaw dropping, £12 for a large pumpkin!?!?!! After having paid to get in already? I at least expected a small pumpkin, still at least the staff were friendly.
A. S.
The dinosaurs were amazing. The whole place is suitable for all ages, including very grown up children.
Just needs some more diverse food outlets.
M. J.
We done the Christmas experience today, absolutely amazing from start to finish. Lots of fun for all ages with a great festive spirit. Highly recommend.

We truly love this place and have done for a number of years! We are annual pass holders and visit on a regular basis. Plenty to keep the children amused for a whole day (especially in good weather, but plenty to do on the not so good days!) we love to take a picnic in the summer and set up ‘camp’ for the day with friends. I only have one little criticism and that is the pricing of the new food restaurant, it makes for an expensive lunch, but as I say we take picnics so it’s not affected us, hence I’ve still left 5 stars ⭐️
My daughter and step daughters took part in the shepherd experience today and had THE BEST TIME!!!!!!
s. b.
Attended the Avon Valley event fear in 2021 and now again in 2022, easy to find and loads of parking. The site is quite big and hat off to the event and park organisers for putting on an amazing Halloween event, there's lots of information about it online so I won't spoil it for anyone as to what it's all about, if you haven't yet I recommend going next year, just brilliant 5 stars
H. B.
Kids loved it - shows were fab but not as good as previous years where portals were used via sleigh simulator to different joined rooms - this works better than waiting in queues for young children - but as always, a great experience for the kids really magical - the grinch again was a highlight - thanks all
A. W.
Went for pumpkin picking. Good selection and rides as well as a bonus. Beer was a touch expensive, bit cost of living eh? All round good, a good afternoon out.
C. H.
Fantastic day out! Highly recommend the Santa Experience! We were on site for over 6.5 hours and had so much fun! Will definitely be back next year!
e.
Thank you Avon Valley for making pumpkin picking so special. We arrived at 1:40pm and left at 5pm, there was no queuing and it's social distancing was amazing, they provided lots of hand sanitizer on varies points of the park. They had 4 little fair rides, 3 mainly for the little kids and dodgems for the older kids. There was a lot of pumpkins to choose from and as it was our 1st time picking pumpkins, it was extra special. There is plenty of snacks and drinks for everybody. Also they did mini games of pumpkin paintball (couldn't play as ran out of balls) but bottle smash - we spent a few on that one and ended up with a small present. Avon Valley #1 for this Halloween. Thank you!
D. W.
Not a bad night out at Christmas, if you're going just for the lights though and travelling a bit of a distance I wouldn't bother so much. Not bad overall though
J. V.
Love it! Very good Christmas experience. The only down thing is not enough warm places to sit and have lunch, pack your own because it's expensive to eat there. Lots of attractions for kids to play for q whole day.
T. G.
Pumpkin trail was a bit naff and overpriced. And you don't even get a pumpkin included. So basically it was £15 for the privilege of having the opportunity to play some overpriced Halloween fairground games (although the apple air cannon was fun) and buy some well overpriced pumpkins that look like they had been acquired from the same place ASDA get theirs. So we pushed some pumpkins around in a trolley, much to the kids' delight, then abandoned it and went to ASDA where we got 4 for the price that one would have cost us there
I've been to the fear thing before though, and that was great
J. J.
Really enjoyed the visit , Christmas light show .
M. S.
Really good day, although not many rides. They could do with a little kids roller coaster as they are quite cheap and would really top of an otherwise perfect family park
L. E.
Just left the fireworks event feeling totally extorted and bemused.
Parking was chaos. Lack of communication and guidance to guests. Poor lighting, pot holes. Ran by children.
Fun fair. Abysmal. Electric cut out twice, dangerous, dirty, over priced.
Food stalls, 30+ minute queue time, people queueing every where. Chaotic.
Fireworks were OK but lack of guidance on where to stand, no staff to usher guests.
Over all so disappointed. £100 down the drain.
T. A.
Nice short evening at the pumpkin patch. Definitely more for kids, but there's a bar! Bit of fun and pretty good for Instagram for those pumpkin spice vibes
S. S.
Beautiful place for children, my daughter loved it.
D. B.
Pumpkin picking .
Well what can I say.
Cost about £20 for 2 adults and a child just to walk in to a muddy field the pumpkins cost a fortune and so did the fair and stalls .ended up going to the shop and getting one for £2 .
S. L.
Thank you for a wonderful Halloween experience with my young grandchildren. Brilliant, all the characters were amazing and interacted with the children wonderfully.
R. P.
We had an amazing time. So much to do and see and all top quality from the amazing elves to the gifts from Santa.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
l. h.
Absolutely amazing experience. We had such a special day and to top it off it was snowing when we got there. It was so magical x
D. C.
Went for Halloween to experience their Fear night and it didn't disappoint, easily some of the best scare mazes I've done and such a fun night for me and my mates
L. H.
Always great, better this year than last in terms of set up and decor, less queues as more pay points. Wish there were more seating areas though.
J. T.
If you visit off peak and take a packed lunch this is a great value day out. There is plenty to see and do, you can easily spend several hours here. There is indoor and outdoor activities, so this is an all weather attraction.
D. H.
Me and the kids loved it shame it's on the small side thought it would have been a little bigger and more stuff to do other than that loved it keep it up
D. C.
Great day out for kids although at £11 per adult excluding rides, it was a bit expensive for a small family. They are adding loads of new kids elements to the place so it will become better value. We also had food in the new cafe and the food was ok.
C. H.
Brilliant night out to the scare halloween event. Plenty of parking and staff to monitor.
A. B.
Magical experience, wonderful lights display, highly recommended xx we will definitely be back for the Santa Experience and Ice Skating xx
H. H.
Having previously been here when they were doing annual memberships I was surprised how accessible everything was in comparison to then. I was expecting long queues for everything but instead, the park seemed relatively calm while still busy. The pig racing, dance off and foam party were all very popular with my kids. I thought the dinosaur attractions were nicely done and all the staff were very committed to their roles including being very consistent when talking about the dinosaur's characters and back stories. My 5 and 10-year-old both really enjoyed the day out equally. It was good that the soft toy making, jeep driving experience and train ride were included in the ticket price. It's great that there was a helper to encourage and help children on the large drop slide outside. My son's child minder used to take him here regularly and I think it is a shame that they've stopped doing the term time weekday passes as it was a good experience for him going there. I would definitely recommend a day out at Avon valley and especially feeding the goats (my personal favourite).
A. S.
Lovely atmosphere with the ice rink, ski lodge style bar and Xmas music. The light trail and the steam train ride was excellent too. Not too busy and very well managed
P. H.
Price for a day out with the family is reasonable. There are new attractions being built at present which will add to what is on the site already. We arrived at 10:30 and were done just before 4pm having done nearly everything. Food wise there is no big chain outlets on site, but there is a Burger Bar as well as a Sandwich and an Ice Cream & Waffle stand. Prices are a little steep, but what you would expect from this kind of attraction. We had a good day out in all. Something for nearly everyone.
R. C.
Good day out, but could have better sign posting as it feels chaotic when you walk in. Also would be handy to be given a map when you walk in too.
Great play areas. Lovely to see the animals and the indoor play kept the kids entertained too. Overall very good.
Father Christmas was excellent, the whole set up was very good. The kids loved it. The area to collect/view you photo, there was a big hold up and so we didn’t get to view ours which was a real shame. It would be better if this could be more electronic and self service to avoid hold ups.
A. F.
Avon Valley is a great place to visit especially for families and little ones. There are so many things to do there, feed the animals, soft play, climbing frames to suit all ages. Food is great at good prices.
J. C.
Nice place to spend the day with the kids and even adults. My son loves the off road jeep ride the best and for the price I think it is worth it. Indoor play area is a plus when the weather goes bad and lots of things to do. Lots of animals for the kids to see and funny pig race. Staff are all nice and hardworking and lots of food to choose from. Just a let down on the quad bike because you need a coin worth 2£ just to ride it for short period. The Boulder dash needs fixing and no more boat ride
T. M.
Another year of pumpkin picking at Avon Valley. Was a much bigger set up this year with rides and all sorts, but we just came for the pumpkins. Great selection in the field, plenty of wheelbarrows available, and lots of pumpkins on display/in crates if you didn't want to walk the field. Also found the prices reasonable.
T. P.
Brilliant, the various different mazes get better each year. Some are seriously scaring and some just mess with the head
A. D.
Good session of ice skating … toilets need attention and a warm area would be nice for those not skating
W. L.
We visited during the dinosaur take over. It was quite pricey for what it was but just enough to do for a full day out and the little ones enjoyed themselves. A good mixture of playground, soft play, farm animals, dinosaurs and rides. Staff were really nice and the ones in character for the Dino experiences were great.
M. C.
Visit here yesterday for my daughter 9th birthday with all her friends. All kids had lots of fun so many thing for them to play and enjoy seeing animals and dinosaur 🦕
B. R.
We had a lovely day, an amazing experience lots of fascinating facts about Reindeer, very friendly staff we would definitely recommended it, I was given this as a birthday present it was so lovely.
Thank you Avon Valley a birthday I will remember.
K. S.
This was our first visit, we had a lovely day out, lots of farm animals and pets to see and feed. Lovely play areas , lots of walks to do. There were lots of hand washing and sanitiser stations all around the park. Saw members of staff cleaning high touch point areas around the park too. My only criticism is that 4 hours (park only open 11-3 to non campers) wasn't long enough to do all everything!
J. G.
We attended the Christmas experience, this was an amazing day and worth every penny. Very good value.
M.
Amazing best day out ever little cold and rain but didn’t stop how much fun my little boy had
J. R.
Here for summer sounds
DJ Lewis and his magic trumpet is the most awesome sound around.
Come on down and boogie to that golden horn.
There was also a main feature....... Abba Fever were absolutely rocking - dancing in the rain without a care. A cracking night out.
s. u.
It's a very big park with many things to see and do, however I was a little disappointed in the dinosaur parts as there wasn't many to see.. dinosaurs looked and sounded very real other which was amazing other! other than that there was a farm, and play area. Overall the bouncy play area was the part my kids enjoyed the most!
S. “. H.
We took our grandchildren here and i didn't think we would like it as much but it held its own.
The staff was very polite and engaged with you, there was plenty of things to do for the little ones and plenty of space for them to burn off that energy.
We spent over three hours and could of stayed longer if we had the time, all the animals looked healthy and there was useful information there for you to read. Plenty of places to sit down plus we liked the different areas set for different aged children
J. h. (.
We camped at Avon valley and had a good time. The park looks to be adding new things and had lots to keep the kids entertained.
L. R.
It was our first camping experience and we stayed on a large electric pitch. Sarah on check in was lovely & very helpful, she checked in on us everyday along with Phill to see if we needed anything or if they could help.
The park it self is a wonderful little park with loads of activities planned during the day for kids, we took our 9 & 11 year olds although alot of the activities were aimed at younger kids my two had the best time! Outdoor play areas & ballon jump park were amazing!
We spent alot of time in the pets corner with all the animals and were very impressed with Maddie, she was so knowledgeable and friendly and just great with the kids, my daughter is animal mad so spent a lot of time with Maddie learning all about the animals. Natasha was another amazing staff member who took time out her day to stop and speak to us and give us a sneak peak at new addition to the park. These two girls made our trip 10/10 with their passion for animals and sharing their love of animals with us.
Can’t thank you enough!
The animals at Avon valley are all very happy & well cared for, yes the park has some further development going on, yes it could do with a bit of weeding here and there BUT that didn’t impact at all on our experience here we had a lovely weekend!
Campsite & facilities were brilliant & clean. As a first time camper I didn’t have high hopes for communal facilities but I was pleasantly surprised!! Showers were lovely & hot & powerful! Having exclusive entrance into the park after it had closed to the public was just an amazing touch, night time walks to see the animals and kids could play on the parks to burn a bit of energy was just perfect.
We will be back in the summer!
C. G.
Lovely place! A bit dear but it's really worth it for a relaxing day out with the kids!
P. D.
A wonderful day at Avon Valley at their Christmas Festivities. Lots to do and see, while the staff were just amazing.
J. C.
We had a great stay glamping/camping here for 3 nights at the end of May this year ! 5 different families, we glamped in a daisy D pre-pitched and others brought their own tents to pitch - a super helpful Grace (on-site Angel !!) guided us right from our first call to the park to enquire about the camping/campsite.
They set us up so that the glampers were next to our friends who pitched tents, Grace really couldn't have helped anymore. Its was lovely to meet both her & Jim when we arrived .... Jim was also such a warm welcoming guy.
The facilities were perfect - new clean toilets, lovely showers (with hot water). There is a Waitrose 5 mins drive away - we had a great time (possibly a bit too much fun on the first night, sorry fellow campers!!) Fire pits, BBQ and perfect family fun.
The park topped off our stay perfectly !!! Campers are allowed to access the park prior & post to the normal general public opening times - all our kids loved all the animals (especially the Pig Races, Ponies & Meerkats !!!) and the huge slides in the indoor play centre were great fun .....
We will definitely come back for more fun again. Thanks again for such a brilliant weekend, from us all. Thank you Grace !!!
S. F.
Nice big pumpkins to pick with lots to do for kids friendly scary staff too ..a bar with some nice music and some tasty food what more do u want on a cold october..
P. R.
Went to this location for a work's family do, and first impressions were pretty good. It's a nice big open area for the kids to run around, it has a big park type area for them to go nuts in. Loads of animals to see and feed aswell. I really thought the dinosaur area was pretty impressive, considering how much they must of spent on each one. They have a mini train area aswell which I thought was pretty cool. There's a bar area for the adults which is a bonus and a ice cream parlour also. Overall I liked this place and deffo worth a little day out for the kids.
b. s.
Brilliant experience camping and a massive park indoor and outdoor great for the three year old . Recommend bring own drinks but there is nice coffee ☕ to be had and the staff are lovely so friendly and clean too
H. P.
A roarsome place to visit with little ones. Lots to do and see. Our 2.5 year old loved the miniature train, animal cuddles and dinosaurs!
T. H.
Great indoor and outdoor play facilities, making it a great day out rain or shine. Look out for special events during the school holidays and the giant family water fight at the end of the summer!
A. A. l.
Fantastic place for the kids to go. Loads of animals and play equipment. Battle Archery Limited is just outside in the carpark which is why we were visiting. Great event with brilliant friendly staff.
K. G.
We had a VIP meerkat experience the ranger had excellent knowledge of the animals we got brilliant animal contact. It was fantastic value for money compared to other larger safari parks!
l. n.
Had a fantastic experience
Thankyou Avon Valley
V. P.
Fantastic fun for families. Would recommend for children 2 years upwards. There is soft play, rides, country walks, outdoor play equipment, a cafe, and animals that you can feed. Would give 5 stars but it is quite expensive to get in, particularly around peak times and there could be more indoor seating near the soft play as it can be difficult to get a table.
C. K.
Really like this venue! Great for all ages. Loads of animals to see and interact with, boating lake, train to ride, parks suitable for kids from 1 - 13. Wouldn't rate it 5* as the food and food hall doesn't warrant a 5 star rating!
E. H.
The kids loved it so much there is plenty to do and see it was a great day out
S. S.
I've been visiting this place since I was a child so over 20 years, I now visit every summer with my children and recently the last few years attended fear at Halloween. It never fails to make a great family day out, lots of animals and lots of activities for the children to do, they are always exhausted after a day of fun here
R. B.
Great place for (young) children. Visited with my son (7) and daughter (5). Nice combination of inside and outside and animals/nature. When we visited it was really quiet. The children loved it.
Z. T.
Amazing day out for all ages! From walking ages the animals r well looked after and the area is gorgeous. I would say a bit over priced
L. C.
Great family day out! So much to see and do. The show was lovely and just the right amount of time. Great little activities dotted around. Will definitely be back next year!!
A. D.
This is a lovely place to go to if you have kids, really a top-notch kid's Adventure Park. It has an outstanding softplay, a huge climbing frame with a slide, mini golf, two go-kart arenas and animals. Lots and lots of animals. Alpacas, llamas, pigs, pig racing, livestock such as horses and cows and others too. On the far side is a mini climbing frame, animals, swings, and a climbing wall. As well as a restaurant with delicious food, cake and drinks, this really is one of the best places for a kid to go to.
a. w.
We went for the FEAR event which was a lot of fun.
Good crowd, something different, and I'll definitely come next year
L. F.
Today we experienced the Ice Skating. A little dubious as not tried this before. The overall experience was fantastic. Easy & quick going in, collecting boots and onto the ice. Had chosen the Whale Supports which I would recommend if not skated before. Rink not too small, could be somewhat larger, but that is personal preference. My children & I had such fun (their 1st time skating) & we’re going to go again before it closes! Highly recommend a visit!!
B. R.
Found the whole experience to be well organised and so enjoyable for my two girls. The rink was a good size with a Marshall to aid if needed. He was a friendly chap that kept a look out and stepped in to help when needed. I stood on the side and watched my girls have lots of fun- I took the photos . They were exhausted with red cheeks when we got off the ice and headed to have a hot chocolate. A great experience with plenty of free parking. Thank you
N. W.
This visit exceeded our expectations. The park was covid friendly and there was plenty to do. Most of the attractions are included in the entry fee so that meant that we spent very little. The staff were amazing and the highlight was the Santa experience - the actors were outstanding and our little girls had the time of their life. The highlight was choosing a toy with their ‘golden ticket’. We also really enjoyed watching the ice skating from the bar. The owners should be very proud. Avon Valley is an exceptional park - we just can’t believe that we had never heard of it before!
B. B.
We have just came back from a great evening. Ice skating was great fun I am so glad you had the skate aids! The Christmas lights was beautiful and all the elfs was amazing with my 2 children. Food was great to. Couldn't think of a better way to spend and celebrate new year eve. My children had a blast and said it was the best day ever.
h. c.
Great time at Avon valley Christmas lights trail, excellent value for money, kids loved it!
D. M.
I never leave reviews but this one is definitely needed!! ..... We had an absolutely amazing time, the staff were so friendly and really made our Christmas fun magical. the staff were absolutely brilliant full of Christmas spirit and really wanting to make Christmas as magical as possible for our kids, the Grinch was an added bonus the kids absolutely loved searching for him and weren't disappointed when they found him. Hot chocolate and food was delicious too, we had so much fun Ice skating and the light trail was beautiful. And so much more too. I would recommend everyone to go and have some magical Christmas fun!! 🎄
G. P.
The whole day was equally enjoyable for our 3 generations from 5 month to 75 years! Well done Avon Valley, we will be back. The food was excellent. The Santa visit was if anything rather long for little ones, travelling through the many zones! Each one was decorated beautifully, and the reindeer glasses are amazing! Thank you to all staff, we like to support local family business.
S. M.
We absolutely loved our Christmas fun at Avon Valley, it was such a wonderful afternoon/evening. Highlights were the skating and the Christmas lights and the fun fair was a huge hit with the kids too. Friendly staff, lovely vibe, the ice rink is wonderful, lots of space and lovely lights. We also enjoyed a bit of time to chill in the outside cafe, by the fire, drinking hot chocolate and eating hot dogs. Everything was fab, thank you!!
C. A. M.
Ideal fun venue for a five year old and one year old. The staff were great. Animals healthy. Had an extra ride on the train. Real dinosaurs! And we saw Andy from CBeebies! Made the five year old's day. Thank you.
J. B.
We had a lovely evening last night at Avon valley, we went ice skating, then did the light trial and then visited the fair, we really enjoyed all 3, only downside was we were disappointed with the food, wasn’t great and was very overpriced for what we got. Really impressed with the light trail and Kids really enjoyed the fair too. It’s really nice to find an event that caters for older kids and teens as a lot of events around Christmas are aimed at younger children.
Had a great night, felt very Christmasy, would recommend and would definitely come back.
E. W.
Oh my goodness! What an amazing night we had last night when we came ice skating at your park. I'm a mum of two teenage boys and dragged them kicking and screaming but wow! They enjoyed themselves so much. All your hard work setting this up shows. We even had fun on a few fair ground rides! Oh and the most delicious hot chocolate in your 'ski' Lodge sat around the fires, toasty and warm. Thank you thank you thank you
A. E.
Very good, lots of pumpkins, food stalls, a small fair, £5 to get in was the only down side
J. B.
Having been a few times previously, but not at Christmas, us and our family were looking forward to the Christmas experience. I think the best I can say is that it was okay but we won't do it again. It was expensive for what was basically a walk around part of the park and a playground. Whilst it might be better for slightly older children the adults and young children in our group were still charged full price. Food outlets were lacking (not in quality but nowhere near enough outlets) so an hour was wasted queuing for lunch, and everything started being cordoned off at 3:30 for the evening ticket people, so we didn't get to see the lights. Not a magical Christmas experience to be honest.
O. B.
Lovely place with amazing staff and loved camping there for an even greater experience especially when the peacocks would wake you up at 6am in the morning
A. B.
Beatiful and relaxing place, great for kids, great food. It is perfect if you want to spend day out with the kids or you just want some fresh air
v. m.
Me and my family had nice time here. It is not great, but good to visit once. There are few rides and play park for kids. Animals are kept very well. This place is very well maintained and take good precautions for COVID-19. Toilets are neat and clean and regularly cleaned up.
M. K.
Not cheap, but absolutely fantastic for the family. There's so much there, in what's not a terribly large area, that there's always something to see and do. The staff were brilliant, carrying the baby dino hand puppets and walking in the dino suit things. Food and drink are limited and the burger restaurant was horrendously slow, but there's beer, wine and cider for parents in need. It's proper Bristol prices, though. The adventure playground is epic and the two zip lines are a nice addition. Just a cracking setup for young kids. I haven't even mentioned the huge dinosaur models, live 'dinosaur training show', miniature train, playgrounds, farm animals, riverside walk and Jurassic Park-themed cars. You never feel short-changed.
J. S. (.
First visit for my family to the pumpkin patch today and thought it was great.
All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful, it was organised well and clean.
Lots of pumpkins to choose from in the patch, not over crowded and the cost of the pumpkins was reasonable. Kids and adults really enjoyed themselves.
There was plenty of rides and places to buy refreshments.
The only small problem for me was the number of dogs (all on leads) that were there. Not sure I had read online that dogs were welcome. If I had known I might not have booked because I have a small child with a phobia of dogs. In the patch it was fine but in the other areas they were hard to avoid!
K. P.
Lovely and quiet today. Which was great. The kids always enjoy a day at Avon Valley.
With it being so quiet today you could see how clean and well maintained the grounds are.
n. f.
Absolutely great day out with the family children enjoyed their self's so much! Very covid safe and we will be back again soon thank you to all the staff for making it a happy and safe environment! We loved the meerkats
L. W.
Had a great time. My children are aged 11 and 9 so at first I thought they might be a bit old for this place, but we all had a great time and found the activities varied and good value for money. My oldest loved the foam party! Good touch! My youngest loved the high slide. Only reason I didn’t give 5 starts is because some bits are in need of a bit of a tidy and a good clean and repair (crazy golf!)
Z. Z.
Me and my son popped down for the pumpkin patch night recently and had a fantastic time! The evening was fun and the atmosphere was great. The staff were exceptional, each and everyone I spoke to was warm, friendly, helpful, professional and just lovely to speak to. Definately going back next year for pumpkin patch night never mind all the other day and evening visits I shall be planning 😊.
s. p.
What a fantastic place, well worth the money not expensive at all, my son is 2 and he could go on every thing the facilities are fab as well, only thing thats abit annoying is the fact, when you walk for a while realise u need the toilet and u have to go back to the start of the pak lol apart from that fantastic, u can take your own food plenty or buy food in the cafe, there are places to sit down all the way around for your tired legs lol well worth a visit, will be returning again 🤗🤗
S. J.
The Christmas light trial was magical! We all loved the lights. The Santa was the best we've ever seen! his wittiness and carrying on what the children were saying was absolutely brilliant! The Grinch was hilarious. Would of liked to see more lights/Christmas displays on the train as was just going around in the dark, also the walk around up to the Grinch was empty so something in this space would be good. However a brilliant night out and would recommend it 🙂 thank you Avon valley
H. J.
Visited for the first time yesterday and we loved it. We live near a well known Wiltshire safari park and recently have been really disappointed with our trips there as all you do is queue and it’s expensive. Decided to try Avon Valley and it was great, we have a 2 year old obsessed with dinosaurs so he thought it was amazing. Great value for money and really friendly staff. The whole atmosphere was so relaxed we had a really nice day. Will definitely travel the bit extra and come here again.
H. J.
Amazing light trail and the best Grinch I’ve ever seen! 💜

I have just got to say, this was one of the best nights I have had in a while. My 3 children were all involved in everything and it was such fun! Thank you for putting so much effort in at this time of year without huge costs! We have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it will definitely become a yearly thing. Highly recommend 😍
C. I.
Absolutely a blast! Kid loved it but it is pricey for adults. 15£ for kids is OK but adults have almost zero attractions and pay as much
C. B.
A really lovely day out for the family. All the animals are friendly happy to see you and look well looked after. It rained for our visit but the soft play was a great way to get out of the showers.
k. C.
Brilliant place to visit. Loads to see and do. All staff are so friendly and super helpful. We spent 2 days here camping, the kids loved it. Would definitely come again.
S. M.
We had a great time, the dressed up staff and staff in uniform were fab. Wish we stayed longer. My only downside is the staff for the fairground rides were more Interested in their phones and the rides were a bit expensive so the day total came to a lot higher than I was expecting. Otherwise amazing though! Loved it!
D. J.
A fantastic, festive, family fun day out! The kids loved the ice skating, which was really well organised, while we enjoyed a latte / mulled cider and delicious lunch (great choice of options) in the hut, from where we were able to watch them skate. Great to see real reindeer there too! Highly recommend you pay a visit, especially during the festive season. ❄🎄⛸🦌
F. S.
The whole day was absolutely amazing and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. You are very lucky to have such and amazing team working for you. The kids loved every minute of there day, so much to do and to keep busy with we didn’t get round to doing half it. The only the thing I would say is the VIP experience was amazing and the handler was really nice the whole experience was. The walk with Sammy other people wanted to get involved and take pictures and I could hardly get a snap with my two year walking Sammy as people were in the way. We will be coming in November for the fireworks for sure and hopefully to see Sammy again. A massive thank you to you and all your staff for making our day so special we will see you in November for the bangs and fair ground rides! A never forgettable day and lots of memories were made.

Visited on 12/08/21 and had a fantastic day while at the park we visited with a varied age group of children 14/13/8/6/5 and no one was bored !!! The dinosaurs are amazing the Dino exhibit was brilliant too the children loved it was very impressed with All the activities on offer especially the Dino jeeps as I was able to walk around with my child and the children loved being able to drive them. The soft play was well looked after and the staff were very friendly and polite all around the park. The park it's self was very well maintained and spotless very impressed. A good range of animals to see 😊 we had food from the Dirty Loaded Fries (I think it was called) lovely food and not overly expensive (bonus) I was also impressed with the amount of places to sit and have lunch around the park and a lot of them had covers on them in case of bad weather (this is the first place I have seen this) overall we all had a lovely day and will definitely be recommending Avon Valley to others and be visiting again soon. ☺️
P. F.
Went to Christmas lights. It was brilliant and very good for children and adults
N. K.
Lovely little park. Lots going on for little ones. We visited with our six year old and she had a great time with the animal handling, train ride, and indoor soft play. The foam party at the end was a great way to end a nice day out! The only feedback would be on the limited choice of food as there was one food truck serving a few options. But this didn’t affect our enjoyment overall. Great day out!
J. M.
Went for the Halloween event and was impressed , though I would only go if doing the mazes , there isn't enough to go there and just pay to go in and not do anything but it was good and would recommend
A. C.
Nice place for camping and event. However, what I really don't like to is the toilet, it is gross, there's no separate toilet for girls.
G.
Well worth a visit this place, great day out for the kids , very friendly and helpful staff and if you camp there you get the park after hours when it closed to the public.
Totally recommend.
j. p.
Unexpectedly good! Great for those with young, with lots to do and see. Has good amenities and leisure areas, to picnic etc.
M. M. D. N. M.
Great place and we had a lovely time.
E. M.
Went on a cold day therefore indoor area to eat food was overcrowded not enough seating. Asked not to use outdoor bistro chairs indoors even though people had paid for food from the kitchens there. Suggested to staff they invest in outdoor heaters as many other eateries do as this would be a solution. Would not recommend out of season .
M. N.
A really large space with a variety of activities and a wonderful indoor and outdoor play area. The food was brilliant as well!
L. G.
Fear at Avon valley was grate l. well worth the money. No need to pay for VIP i think we done whole park and qued for food in 3 hours. Arriving there early was fun to watch people get scared but if you want to just get through the mazes i sugest getting there at 9 to 9.30 when crowds start to dissapear
P. M.
Wow not been here for a few years what a change so much more to do now. The grand children had a brill time feeding the animal's soft play and horse and cart ride the best for me was pig raceding so mush fun.will be back
N. H.
I enjoyed the two mazes I went in. The queue for the second one was too long (about 90mins) because the lights went out and they couldn't fix the for ages. Missed the last two mazes as it was too cold to wait in another long queue.
J. C.
Lots to see and do but wish they would tidy up the railway and put some better pieces on the sidings to see as you go round.
C. R.
Met some really nice goats, sheep, ponies and guinea pigs and more!. It was a lovely day . Pig racing was fun
M. L.
We Really enjoyed the Christmas nights experience.
Skating was brilliant and the lights and animals were fab, loved the grinch my niece believed it was the real one and the mini polar express was fun. Then finished off with the fun fair. Thank you Avon valley adventure & wildlife park. hope you do it again next year.
H. L.
Thank you Avon Valley for the best day! It was magical and everything was so well set out 👏 The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! There was so much to do and the Father Christmas experience was the best experience we have ever been to! Absolutely amazing. Looking forward to next already 😍 Thank you for giving us the perfect day 😍.

We went for my mums birthday as a family. The weather was amazing, the layout of the place where we were was lovely. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff and shown to our number gazebo and fire pit. The fire pit was lit when we arrived and we had a bag of spare firewood to keep it lit throughout the evening. There was a mixture of music being played by a DJ throughout the night. The kids were able to play on the outside park and slides, as well as walking around and looking at the animals. Thank you Avon Valley, Definitely recommend it was a 5 star evening ⭐️ 💫
I. L. R.
What an awesome day at Avon Valley. Friendly Staff and beautiful safe surroundings. Where else in the South West can you hold a cute magical Meerkat?? AMAZING - get yourselves here people!
A. H.
What a great day out. Lovely relaxed vibe, just like a beach club and plenty to keep the grandsons occupied all day.
L. H.
We had a wonderful time pumpkin picking! The patch is located in a charming field with a wonderful view, it has many varieties of pumpkins that my daughter loved browsing for. The pumpkin themselves are delicious and fresh. The shows, the characters and scary Halloween-themed decor are also tasteful and really fun! We will definitely recommend it!
J. O.
Full day of fun

We had one of the best nights as a family. My kids aged 6/8/10 loved it. My son said “it was a million times better than he ever imagined” the staff where great, the pizza was lovely. The box with drinks and marshmallows in was ace. My daughter loved the disco and when the sun went down they all got up and danced. We did bring coats and blankets as well as extra bits for the kids. We played on the bouncing pillows and walked round the animals. It was easily 5* and worth every last penny. I have some lovely photos and it’s a night we will always remember. Thank you to all the staff who made it amazing.
J. J. B. &. A.
This Santa trip was totally amazing! We met the elf. Went on a plane to the North Pole. Fed reindeers,
Mother Christmas and then the ultimate- Santa!
This was such and amazing experience for me let alone the grandchildren.
Such great attention to details the “helpers “
Were engaging and went beyond my expectations.
Thank you for an amazing day xx
R. B.
Attended the Christmas day event. Very disappointing especially for the high price. The whole site was run down and tatty. One staff member manhandled my daughter when she tried to pick up a reigndeer who had fallen over and whos head fell off. The rides for the fair were all extra on top and we only just had enough to do for the day. Needless to say we will not be going there again for a Christmas event. Went once before a couple of years ago for a summer event and thought it was much better then.
T. P.
We had such an amazing time, the effort that you all went to was outstanding in every way. Our visit was great value for money, the lights were fantastic as was the ice skating and we finally feel “Christmassy”. My youngest told me he had the best time ever!
Thank you Avon Valley.
F. D.
This is everything you could want from an adventure and wildlife park. We took our 3 year old during the summer and it was easily the best day out we've ever had with her. She could access pretty much everything and the park is so spread out that no where was ever really that busy. The staff also really made our visit - they were very personable and made time to talk genuinely with visitors. We've already made a booking to go again for their Christmas experience.
A. B.
Went to the pumpkin patch was ok until it rained and then everyone went into the marquee area and it wasn't really socially distanced, the loaded fries were good!
S. G.
Kids loved it, camping was great and the night play was great x staff was friendly id def go again x
o.
So much fun! The atmosphere was great, the sun just set as we arrived with my boyfriend and two of our friends. The air smelt like a bonfire, creepy clowns were patrolling around and 8ft tall scarecrows bent down to screech in your ear.
The mazes were great fun, we didn’t have to queue long at all and I screamed my lungs out. Would definitely recommend!
A. W.
Very well organised event which made us feel secure and safe. The fair was terrific fun for my young grandson, particularly the ghost train. We had a superb view of the fireworks which were very good especially the big fire flames. We felt the whole event was great value for money and we shall come again rather than going to Longleat. Well done!
C. P.
Had a great visit yesterday with my girls, the park was busy but was pleased to see that clearly numbers had been considered and there wasn't an overcrowding at all. All the staff had an incredible attitude considering how cold it was. The lady serving hot drinks was on her own due to staff illness (I asked her she wasn't complaining) and her smile never wavered - she was going above and beyond! The chap that played the Grinch was so hilarious I'm still giggling about it today, absolutely wonderful day out, very festive and reasonably priced. Thank you once again Avon Valley!
J. A.
Had a really nice time at the pumpkin patch today. The good weather definitely helped but the fire show and live actors were great and made the trip memorable. Lots of pumpkins to choose and plenty of wheelbarrows. Pumpkin shop was very attractively displayed. Fairground rides were pricey as was the food and pumpkin accessories but as I hadn’t felt ripped off by the ticket price I didn’t mind so much!
T.
Pumpkin picking
Pros - great displays and atmosphere. Adding that extra touch to the experience of picking pumpkins. The whole family has a great time and the cost of the pumpkins wasn’t too expensive.
Cons - have fed back around improvements regarding poor flood lighting (bring a torch) , more seating, drinks are overpriced and lack of food options (if you have dietary need I recommend bringing something with you)
The actual pumpkin picking part was fantastic but the after bit getting food and drink felt quite expensive and awkward as not everyone could eat there so next time I think we will either eat before or after. If you can eat anything and aren’t counting the pennies you will be all good.
L. M.
Great experience. We took my daughter and friends for her 9th birthday. The park is just the right size for the kids to go off by themselves and have a ball. We experienced fox feeding. It was amazing. This place has such a lovely vibe, the staff seem really happy and are super friendly. Thanks Avon Valley Adventure Park.
V. J.
Fantastic night @Fear! Well run, well organised and brilliant actors in and out of the mazes! Would recommend the fast pass tickets as we only queued for a minimal time at two mazes and went straight in to the other 3! Queue times on the boards were showing 50 minutes at some points so we really appreciated the fast pass! Mine and husbands second time but kids (aged 22, 20, 19 & 15) first time and they all loved it! Didn’t stop screaming and laughing all night! Thought I’d not be as easily scared as I’d been before but nutters jumping out at you or grabbing your leg etc will definitely keep you screaming!! Really fun night, well done to all involved! We’ll 100% be back!
L. V.
Great time had with my 2 boys the atmosphere was spooky and fun from the moment we got there with the music and fire show. Boys loved the pumpkin splat paintball and the fair rides. The only issue we had was that we couldn’t find a spare wheel barrow so made it a bit tricky but that wasn’t a major problem great day out with kids.
Z. W.
We always have a great time when we visit Avon Valley and Saturdays visit was no exception.
We absolutely loved the new dinosaur section, they were so well placed, it was fantastic.
We were also so impressed with the staff that day. They were all 10 out of 10. Particularly the guy that was working the dinosaur lab section - totally hilarious! And the guy that was working the swing ride - what a trooper, it was so hot and sunny and I watched him carry on his energy from the morning right through until close time.
Thanks so much guys for making the day extra fun and special! We can’t wait to come back!
G.
The fireworks were good, however the music could have been louder, and as seen in other displays the fireworks could have been better coordinated with the music. We liked that there were plenty of marshals and sign posting which made the venue easy to find. Although this event was aimed more at families with young children, it would have been nice to have a few more fun fair games that adults/couples could get involved in. Nevertheless, we had a fun evening!
T. C.
We absolutely love the events that Avon Valley put together each year! It's now become a family tradition to attend their Pumpkin Festival. And we’ve just got back from their Christmas event! Always so many different activities for the whole family including great food and entertainment! Highly recommend :)
L. P.
We took our 14 month old here for the first time and had a really lovely morning. It is really well organised and very clean and tidy, with lots of places to clean up after touching the animals or playing in the sand pit etc. Lots of fun activities for all ages, and a great variety of animals. My daughter enjoyed every minute of it. We purchased food from the street food truck (dirty fries) which was great quality and a good sized portion which is unusual for these types of food venues. We had such a great day and will definitely return again.
B. S.
It's a absolutely excellent place to take young children. There's various animals to visit, simple rides to go on and a few adventures frames to climb. Plenty of food and drink to choose from.
We also stayed at their campsite, a simple setup, but very good quality facilities.
110% recommend for families with young children
A. _.
We’ve taken our kids here several times, and they always enjoy the day out. Plenty of things to see and do. We’ve also enjoyed picking pumpkins last year in the pumpkin patch and have attended the ‘fear at Avon valley’ event twice which was exceptional. We would highly recommend a visit.
R. N.
We had a great time visiting your skating rink with a family group. In spite of the blustery weather the friendly and helpful staff made the visit most enjoyable. Access to the soft play and slides afterwards was a bonus.
Thanks
B. P.
We went to the pumpkin/Halloween night. Was something a little different. With dodgems, waltzer and other rides and activities it was not a bad evening. My daughter dressed up, most peeps did not. So glad I didn't. 🤣
Well worth a trip for families.
J. B.
Great place for children but I would recommend that you take a picnic as the food offering is not that great. But the staff are lovely, hats off to Abella and Raven for their cheerful service, well done to you both, keep up the good work.
W. F.
Great evening for all. FRANKENSTEIN was a great welcoming site and lots of banter and fun with the kids. Waltzer lady was super friendly and nice. Staff running the catapult and paintball guns were friendly and very polite telling us to enjoy our evening. Great value for money and lots to do!
l. l.
We had the best time at the fun fair before Ice Skating. Followed by drinks and amazing food.
Staff were really friendly. It was a magical experience, thank you and hopefully will return again next year 🤩
B. F.
The five stars is purely for the Father Christmas experience, it was amazing. I think I enjoyed it as much, if not more than the kids. Hats off to Mr and Mrs Claus and all the elves and of course Woosh for getting us to the N. Pole in one piece! 🎅🤶
C. H.
Visited in August, height of school holidays, but plenty of space and no queues for attractions! 3 boys, aged 2, 5 and 9 (and 4 adults) all found lots to do for the whole day. Very impressed with sanitiser stations and helpful but not bossy advice. Amazing dinosaur valley with codebreaker quiz. Refreshing to pay one price and not to be charged extra for rides/attractions. Friendly, enthusiastic staff. We'll definitely visit again!
L. W.
Honestly was so happy with our day out for pumpkin picking, my children are 6 and 3. All nicely laid out, lovely staff, enough space to move around with the two metres rule, good entertainment which my two children were up dancing to. My girls went in halloween costumes and the entertainers gave them a sticker for being "best dressed" I think it was worked differently but the sticker I haven't been able to look at since they got it, they are proud of it. Definitely will be going again next year. We love avon Valley even when it isn't an event.
P. C.
Once again Avon Valley deliver a truly magical experience for children and adults. Everyone was fantastic, the elves were all so entertaining and the children were enchanted by it all. Santa was fantastic as always and the children got great gifts. We felt very safe as numbers were restricted. Merry Christmas to you all!
P. H.
A great welcome from the team - everyone went out of their way to make our camping trip a success.
K. B.
It was mine and my family first time at Avon Valley for Halloween.
We were not dissapointed, the attracions were amazing and all the lights when it gone dark were unbelievable .
It is so worth going. My kids absolutely loved it. All the costumes and the tall 'Jack' and The 'Witch' - brilliant 😊
Happy Halloween and Thank you !
S. s. S.
Avon Valley - you got it Spot on!
Fantastic day out for all the family! Pleasantly surprised with how much there was to do, ice skating, free rides, Grinch appearance and so much to see.
We very much enjoyed our Christmas Day out thank you!
D. H.
I visited with my 3 children and my friend and her child. Ages from 6yrs to 10yrs. We had a great day out, lots to see and do, particular favourites were the Airbounce, Dinosaur valley, Mini Jeep Safari, Animals and the play area.
Toilets were clean and were cleaned throughout our visit by staff.
The only area that could be improved was the availability of refreshments and ice creams, there was a bit of a wait.
Would definitely go back again
A. R.
Took the Grandson here as he loves the out doors despite the weather, large indoor play area for the youngster's, every corner you turn there are hand sanitizers ,toilets are unisex ,disabled also. Food very expensive, just for a portion of cheesy chips £5.00. Hot and cold drinks also available. Hot sandwiches too. Some of the attractions were not open ,this may be due to staff shortages because of Covid. There is a lovely ice skating rink here but I may think that it was just for the festive season. Well worth a visit ,live animals for the kids to enjoy.
S. J.
So we have been to Avon Valley many times but this weekend was not as successful. We went for the dinosaur valley for my son who is obsessed and to be fair that is one of the only things that was amazing about our family day off.
They advise you take a picture of the schedule so you know what is on. Animal barn for holding animals wasn't actually on and dinosaur lab is only open between certain times.
The play barn was filthy, the baby/toddler area in the little size shops had carpets that have never been hoovered and the mats in the soft play were stained brown. Considering they have all these covid restrictions everywhere in the park perhaps they could deep clean a bit better.
The train and tractor rides were enjoyable and far better now it's included in the ticket price. The last time we went it wasn't included and had to pay separately. Now the kids can go on as often as they like.
Dinosaur Valley was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed that so for a family of 4 we are glad we went but the park itself is looking a bit tired and unclean in my opinion. Everything outside was great but indoors not so much.
K. H.
I took my 2 & 3 year old for a day out to see the dinosaurs. They got to enjoy some rides, a foam party and lots of outside space to run free.
There was Definitely enough to occupy the whole day and they had the best time! Only thing we didn’t use was the play barn as I’m not quite ready to let them loose in indoor play centres yet due to covid but we will be back and will make full use of it in future.
E. R.
We had so much fun!! We had fast track passes and waited maybe 20 minutes in the longest line? In fact the longest queue was for the toilets! The fire show was not what we expected but all the stage shows were still very entertaining. The effort and commitment of the actors in the mazes was amazing, even though they’re trying to scare you they still point you in the right direction when you get a bit disorientated 🤣
S. Y.
Absolutely fantastic time at the Christmas Event. The whole Father Christmas event was absolutely amazing, the elfs, mother Christmas, and Father Christmas himself were just fantastic, really engaging and suitable for all ages.
We didn't pre-book ice-skating and unfortunately there wasn't a slot available for us however, the kids were happy in the soft play and didn't spoil our experience just if you did want ice-skating, I would say you must pre-book. 🤶🎅
K. H.
A great family day out, so much to do and explore for our 4 year old. We were really impressed with how much there was within a very reasonable ticket price. There is only one ride to pay for which are the circuit quad bikes requiring £2 inserted to get them going. We would definately recommend a visit.
L. H.
Our 3 grandchildren, 5, 9 and 11, all enjoyed every aspect of the park and had a thoroughly good day. The adults appreciated the frequency of handwashing stations!!! and the lack of extra payment for so many activities. Adults and children liked that the animals and physical activities were interspersed throughout the park. There was a request to "come again"!! Thanks to all involved.
S. B.
This place is just brilliant, spent the whole day here and could have stayed longer. So much to do, loved it.
T. “. K.
Fabulous day at Avon Valley today. We are local but haven't been there for a while, certainly since the pandemic. There was definitely more to do this time and the larger price means that train and tractor rides were included, so actually it's good value. It was great to have a bar there too this time!! In particular the children loved the Foam Party - not everywhere you can finish your day with a foam party! The little 'drive yourself' trucks were great and also included in the price. An excellent local day out, thank you! (We were a group of 3 mums, 3 x 6 year olds and 3 x 8 year olds.)
J. R.
We really fun day here with our 3 and 1 year olds. The foam party at the end of the day was the highlight for our eldest, but we all enjoyed the new Dinosaur Valley, and the youngest loved all of the animals. There is lots to do here and it felt like good value for the entry fee – we easily filled a full day with activity.
S. A.
We had such a great day with friends and our toddlers. The children loved the whole park, it’s great for all ages and so nice to be able to go somewhere that’s toddler friendly too. It was our second visit and we’ll be visiting you again soon. It would be great if you had an annual membership for us to buy, please consider this!!
C. D.
Absolutely incredible day at Avon Valley! Our very first visit and it did not dissapoint. I've wanted to try this place for a while but the new Dinosaur Valley was the ultimate decision maker to finally book as my 4 year old is dino mad! The price was amazing for what was included. The dinosaurs were fantastic, every single one of the staff were helpful, friendly and so welcoming! Lots of animals, lots of things to do and see, we will absolutely be back soon, what a day! 😍🦖🦕
Y. B.
My 8 year old grandson and I had great fun! We arrived at 10.30am and left at 4.30pm having not quite managed to squeeze everything in! He was feeding and holding the animals including a rat and an owl, walking with very life-like dinosaurs (they'd already been fed!), driving a jeep, taking the tractor ride and the train, scaling every climable piece of equipment, zipping on the zip wire, jumping on anything bouncable, spending time in the Play Barn with the huge slide, encouraging Harry Trotter to win the pig race (great fun) and the day was finished off with a foam party and photograph with the Avon Valley mascot. A wonderful day was had by all and I'm coming back next week with my other 2 grandchildren! Very reasonably priced and money well spent. Thank you!
F. S.
Visited today with my little one to pick the pumpkins. We both loved it, all the staff were polite, friendly and chatty, are really great with the little one! The pumpkin patch was amazing soo much choice! Great day out for us!
A. Y.
Great Christmas Experience and all year round. 👍
B. J.
Me and my parents did the Meet The Foxes experience and it was well worth every penny. Really enjoyable, not rushed, Dan was exceptional and his passion for the all the animals shone through whilst giving us plenty of facts and information and ensuring we spent plenty of time with beautiful Rusty and Felix the foxes. We also got to meet the other animals around the park which was lovely to see how happy and well cared for they are. Thank you for a truly brilliant experience.
t. e.
Not every thing Is open on a weekday in school time. But enough was open to keep them entertained. Glad we did not pay full price as its a lot considering.
s. T.
Excellent family day out, kids and parents really enjoyed the laid back and friendly atmosphere , the staff were lovely and helped my son go down the big slide. The only reason I have dropped a star is due to the price of ticket and price of food and drink there, we took a picnic but we still spent nearly 50 pounds on coffee's, coke's and icecream, there were two rounds of the drinks throughout the day and icecream at the end, totalled with the price of the tickets its was an expensive day out. However we would still go back so don't let it put you off, just be more prepared than me and take your own drinks and food.
D. D.
Fantastic day out and great value for money. One small criticism, the animal petting Didn’t happen. We went there twice In two advertised hours, no staff, no petting. The boys really wanted to hold a guinea pig but nothing doing. Otherwise 10/10. The staff were warm, friendly, patient and helpful
K. R.
Just a terrific day for me and my grandchildren and I think excellent value for money - all the rides and experiences were free during the day - the jeep ride, go karting and the fabulous dinosaurs were just a tremendous hit with both children - the very friendly staff everywhere - and finally winding down in the Soft Play area! Thank you all for making it such a special day for all of us.
M. G.
lovely park nice animals little Gemma fell down outdoor deth slide and hurt her nees but wood come back again if they let me go on the go karts as well xx
k. c.
Had an absolutely brilliant time at our VIP meerkat experience. Even as a bunch of adults, Dan the keeper make the whole experience really informative and fun. The animals are clearly well cared for and loved by the keepers. We only handled the hand reared Sammy, who loves human cuddles, but the wilder mob are left to decide if they want to come up to you or not which is nice. Worth every penny, and we'll be back to see the foxes next I think :)
R. C.
We really enjoyed our day at Avon Valley. Dinosaur Valley has the best dinosaurs that we have seen so far. The play barn was large and spacious. The cafe has not reopened since lockdown however the food from the truck was delicious-just be aware that the queue got quite lengthy at lunchtime. For us, it was the friendly, approachable and competent staff that cemented our experience. Something to note for pram users-the paths are very bumpy!
a. v.
Had an amazing day celebrating my daughters 9th birthday with her and her friends. They all thoroughly enjoyed the day cracking facilities and topped off with the V.I.P experience with Sammy the meerkat and mob. To finish the day a foam party in which everyone joins in. Best day out in ages.
J. S.
A great family day! So much to see and do at this amazing park. The animals, Dinosaur Valley, soft play, role play street, go karts, foam party, animal encounters and so much more! The staff are so friendly and the minute you stopped and looked lost, someone was asking if your ok and need help. Really well run and definitely worth a visit!
L. H.
Absolutely amazing day.
We didn’t see Santa just had a Christmas Day at Avon valley. Wooow it was so magical.
Best bits, Elf on the train was amazing, so entertaining really made the train ride exciting. My children were so happy.
I loved seeing The Grinch. Was amazing, my children knocked on his door not expecting him to answer but he did. My lil boy was scared at first, loved him within 2 minutes.
Just a spectacular day couldn’t recommend more.
Thank you Avon Valley. Very pricey but so worth it.
A. L.
We really enjoyed our visit on Sunday. We felt very safe with the reduced numbers and there were many handwashing stations dotted regularly around the park. We missed the indoor play barn, but as the time slot is reduced to 3 hours, actually we filled that time really easily looking at everything else. The kids were very happy!
J. M.
I have been to several different pumpkin patches over the years and have to say this has been the best. There is constant entertainment with the actors walking around who really engaged with the children. Apart from getting wet the time was brilliant and we will be returning next year
T. L.
Fantastic day out enjoyed by us and more importantly our granddaughter. Was a tad hesitant at first as the cost appears quite expensive but its totally justified with everything included once in, from the new Dinosaurs, to train rides, to climbing frames and soft play to tractor rides and animal petting. All staff encountered also seem to work very hard and are very helpful and courteous. Definitely will be back, well done Avon Valley 5 Stars.
W. C.
Absolutely amazing day out. Couldn’t recommend enough. So reasonably priced too which is a bonus. So much to do, from animal talks and petting opportunities to visiting the dinosaurs. We also booked the Meerkat VIP Experience too as a birthday treat, WOW, my daughter wanted to take one home. Sammy the tame Meerkat was the cutest. Dan was so informative and pleasant too, made our day. Would definitely visit again if we are in the area. Thanks Avon Valley we had a blast.
J. H.
Treated my husband to a meet the foxes session for his birthday we both absolutely loved it. The keeper was knowledgeable, extremely friendly and made our visit relaxing and enjoyable.
Felix and Rusty are amazing, beautiful animals and we both feel privileged to have been able to meet them up close and feed them xx
Thank you for a wonderful experience

Lots for the children to do, nice friendly staff and site clean. My granddaughter loved driving the jeep and bouncing in the large inflatable pillow! We spent 3 hours there and could have stayed longer.
Only criticism would be the area the train is in could be made more scenic- a lot of old wood, rubbish piled up. Could make it more of an experience for the children- perhaps more dinosaurs or statues of animals, finished off with more colour - plants and flowers?

First time I have been to see Avon Valley lights and I loved it.
J. S.
Warm friendly and welcoming staff.
Lots included in the entry price. We took a picnic with us so very good value for money. Half day COVID-19 safe policy did give us enough hours to enjoy the site. Our children aged 5-10 had fun so we will return again soon.
J. G.
Really good for family day out. Good equipment for climbing, safari area for kids to drive electrics jeeps, go kart tracks, dinosaur exhibition and animals to see. Staff young and friendly/helpful.
Good value and fun.
R. C.
Stayed in the base camp glamping site for 2 days with my son.
Absolutely terrific from start to finish. 2 on site hosts always there and do friendly. The explorer tents were fantastic and the park is great fun for young kids. We were welcome at all times and can't wait to go back.
S. L.
I highly recommend Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park to anyone seeking a getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed as part of the family! Each and every member of the team are incredibly friendly and accommodating. They are all passionate about their Park and enthusiastic to share that with everyone who visits. The Glamping tent was everything we hoped for and the On the Deck Bar provided the best service (and pizza). The animals are incredibly well cared for by a team who are knowledgeable and truly invested in their wellbeing. The fact that out dogs were welcomed absolutely everywhere made the experience perfect. Highly recommended.

This is hands down the best Xmas night out we’ve had ever! We loved the ice skating and the light experience, the fun fair was fantastic. Lots of space between family’s all out doors and plenty of hand sanitise. This is a must have experience
J. A.
We went for an animal encounter yesterday and it was fantastic. The ranger was really good with the kids & explained about all the animals we saw not just the rabbits & guinea pigs. The kids loved the guinea pig fishing!! The park has a lot more in it since we had last been and it was very well organised & the staff were great. We can’t wait until we can spend the whole day there !
L. R.
We had a fantastic day, lots to do and see and keep the toddlers entertained! We loved the pig racing, as well as the trailer and train rides. Good picnic places and shady spots (it was a super hot day). And they were nice enough to give me a voucher for my friend and her family who couldn't make it.
C. H.
This was our first visit to Avon Valley Country Park and it was really good, so much to do there and the added bonus of ice skating with real ice 🧊 ⛸ fairly cheap hot drinks and hours of fun for the children. We have already said we will be coming again soon.
J. M.
Really good fun, the kids had an amazing time. Saw the grinch, an actual dinosaur walking around and some great rides. The highlight is a lovely little section where you can write a letter to santa and post it into a cool little vacuum tube
D. M.
Had a wonderful festive day with the grandchildren, they loved it
C.
We enjoyed the ice skating, great surrounding, staff were lively and it was nice to have a delicious hot chocolate afterwards.
I think ut should have been a full hour as it was all over very quickly in 45 mins but we all enjoyed ourselves.
Skating aid for youngsters is a must!
N. W.
Lovely atmosphere and fireworks to fun music. I wasn't aware that I wouldn't be able to park there as it wasn't very obvious when I booked the ticket but thankfully I read the small print in the emails and I managed to work it out and walk (albeit down a pitch black lane) with a small torch. They did have a couple of guides who point you in the right direction.
J. B.
Great organisation for the Ice Skating. Really nice and helpful staff. The fun fair was really great for the family too. Attractions for all ages. I hope this continues to be a regular Christmas event.
C. L.
Avon valley have put together a magical show for Christmas with something for everyone. The lights were amazing and my 3 year old was taken back by the Grinch who was hiding in the park 😂 overall we had a really good time and will definitely visiting again!
A. T.
We went to the fear festival and what abloodygoodnight! Fantastic from start to finish! Out favourite maze was definitely VITA NOVA. Enjoyed the food, the funfair and the atmosphere! I’ve already booked for the Christmas Night and I will most definitely be booking more in the future. Thanks for a fantastic evening.
A. M.
Kids loved the Dinosaur valley, and they were absolutely crazy about the outdoor trampolines. Staff was really nice and helpful all over the park and we really enjoyed our day. Will definitely visit again, cant wait to see what you got in store for Christmas.
S. T.
Absolutely loved it! Took our granddaughter who is five and she loved it too!! Only criticism, could do with more food outlets and non sharing toilets ( had to clean the seat before I could let my granddaughter sit in it!!! ).
J. R.
We had a great time pumpkin picking!! There was great food stalls and rides as well that we loved. Great value for money and the pumpkins weren’t expensive at all! Looking forward to next year already
S. T.
Had a fabulous time here with my 2 children aged 5 &7, lots of friendly staff making that extra effort to ensure the kids are having a great time, our first outing since lockdown eased, staff gave everything a clean between each person using, all rides were wiped down before getting on, made to feel like they're taking precautions to keep all safe, all rides are now included when you are in the park. Overall a great morning out, we have missed these sorts of places.
H. S.
Perfect for toddlers (and most kids I’m sure). Sit on miniature railway, tractor ride, jumping pillows and chairoplanes were big highlights. But the multitude of play equipment and animals were excellent and went down a storm. We also enjoyed the loaded fries and ice creams as a nice treat too. Will come back soon!
C. S.
Great day out with our 5 year old Grandson.
Lots to do and see.
Enjoyed the zip wire!
Friendly staff...... Special mention to the lads doing coffee and icecreams, the queues were long but they served everyone with a smile and really worked hard.
Foam party was fab!!
Thanks.
N. G.
A fantastic family outing. Plenty for everyone to do and the prices weren’t to steep which is always a bonus. This was our 3rd year visiting the pumpkin patch and we’ll definitely be back next year.
V. B.
Great evening on Saturday, Ice Skating and exploring the Santa Trail. Meeting the Elves and Santa as we wandered about was magical for my granddaughter, great atmosphere. Handy tip, wrap up warm ,Glad I had my thermals on. :-)
Great value for money, Thanks you AVP
K. K.
It was a great experience. Attractions were worth it with the great surroundings and actors. Queues were long but that’s expected.
In my opinion rides should be longer for how much you have to pay per person
Overall had a great time
L. R.
Good experience. My kids loved Pumpkin picking and the funfair. The staff even turned down the music on the Dodgems so my 8 year old son with Autism could enjoy a ride.
C. P.
Came for Halloween and the pumpkin evening. Had a wonderful day with my little boy.
Weather wasn't great to start with but the staff made lots of effort with their enthusiasm and lots of activities to do all day.
The jeeps, train and tractor were included in price so that was good and we got to take advantage of more goes as it was quiet.
The pumpkin patch was lots of fun, it was a really lovely atmosphere with the fires and entertainment.
Overall it was fantastic hope to do same next year.
Thank you Avon Valley for such a lovely day
V. H.
We had a lovely day at Avon Valley adventure and wildlife park. Everything was well organised and it wasn’t too busy. The play area was fantastic for the kids. I particularly liked the fact that all activities were included in the entrance fee, rather than having to pay extra once inside the park. It’s great value for money.
P. J.
Fabulous evening! Great planning, 5 great mazes.
M. W.
A lovely evening for the whole family .
Santa was great.
Only disappointment 1 hot food stall.we went on the train when we got off we made our way to sausage stall to find it had close between 5.30 and 6pm .
L. H.
I took two of my grandchildren and we had an amazing day, we have been before but the train and tractor rides now included in the price is so much better. The dinosaur trail and jeep driving are amazing. Will definitely revisit
L. B.
First time visiting Avon Valley on Bonfire night. We had a fantastic time, from start to finish. Well organised, brilliant flow of the car park, and spectating the fireworks. Plenty of entertainment before and after the fireworks. We’d be happy to visit every year.
F. H.
i have been coming to Avon valley farms for 4 years not i have a 3 year old and every time he has been we have thoroughly enjoyed our visits. i love how they make things so quirky.... Halloween the fancy dress and actors/actresses so much energy and compassion in what they do!! we have just spent the day today at the Christmas event and both me and my son had the best fun with the Grinch. a shame we have had COVID as we were desperate to see Santa other than that the best day and reuben won himself a fluffy bunny at the fun fair there also!!! so thank you Avon valleys!! lots of love and safe wishes fran, reuben and nanny Kath xx
L. I.
Fab day out, lots of different things to do so something for everyone. Good for all ages. The animal handling was disappointing though as 1 rabbit in a basket a staff member held so all the kids crowding round. Should be a seated area for each child to hold or stroke. Dinosaurs not sign posted but managed to find after asking.
B. C.
We did FEAR back in 2018 and loved it then but it was so much better this time around we went on Saturday 16th. We got the unlimited FEAR pass which we loved as we were able to do the mazes as many times as we wanted. The mazes were brilliant X4 probably the favourite of the night but were all really brilliant. Cannot wait to return again next year 😁
J. T.
We went as a group of 10 ages 14 to 71 we all had a brilliant night.
I’ve been coming since the beginning my daughters were only 7 and 8!!
We look forward to fear night as much as we do Christmas. This year was even more special because it was Tegans 14th birthday on Saturday the 16th when we came and Trixie even sang happy birthday to her.
Love it more and more every year
M. O. T. (. O. T.
We had a lovely evening, the lights were great, children enjoyed the train ride, mr and mrs Claus were on the walk which made it magical, you could toast marsh mallows (at a extra cost) and even got to see a few animals along the way.
S. T.
We went pumpkin picking which was fab. Really big field to wonder in with tonnes of pumpkins to choose from. Great day out with the family, good food and a couple of rides which were a tad expensive but they always are at these things! Would go again
G. C.
Excellent place to take the kids. Cater for all ages and enough stuff to do to keep the kids occupied all day. Excellent hand cleaning and covid measures especially around toilet block. All staff members genuinely seem happy to work there and are more than happy to interact with children
J. G.
Staff are absolutely wonderful and kind involving the children and saying hi or dancing! Fun activities to do, and overall the pumpkin patch area lovely to explore and choose your favourite pumpkin you would like to take home.
D. C.
We had the most amazing day, so much to do. My two girls who are 8 and 9 absolutely loved it. So much space and so many activities. Would recommend this to anyone, you wont be dissapointed. The staff were all fabulous and really helpfull.
R. B.
A special place and a full day for kids. Worth the money when the sun is out.
R. M.
Great place to visit. Staff very friendly. Lots to do for young children. The pig race was great fun.
M. O.
All staff said happy birthday to Imogen and made her feel very special. The VIP encounter was a great experience, one I would recommend not only for what we got to learn and see about the animals but also it was very much on the animals terms. I felt that Felix and Rusty were well looked after and not forced to come to us which some may expect from these sorts of things. We all had a great time and learnt a lot even got to give Sammy the Meerkat a cuddle !
Thank you to everyone
E. L.
Lovely day out! We had a half-day ticket but could have easily spent the day here, there was lots to do for children under 10, perhaps less so for older kids. The riverside walk was a highlight! It's a shame the death slide was out of service and due to COVID the indoor play was shut, but other than that we really enjoyed our experience.
J. B.
A great day out in a beautiful location. Plenty to do to fill a day and probably enough for two days. Lots of polite, friendly and helpful staff and the park is well kept and clean. The children and I had an excellent time and won’t hesitate to recommend and visit again.
J. L.
Ice Skating and site was fantastic, the children really enjoyed it and want to go again! The Hot Chocolate at the cafe was one of the best we have ever had. Thank you so much!
B. H.
We had an amazing time with our 2 children. The dinosaur valley is a great addition to an already amazing wildlife park to have on your door step. We can't wait to go again at Halloween!
S. B.
Had a great (6 hour!) day out at Avon Valley. As well as seeing the animals there is the huge outdoor climbing frame, a great indoor/softplay area, crazy golf, blow up giant bouncy cushions, we also watched pig racing, done the new amazing Dinosaur Valley, ate some good food and ended up with a foam party. Perfect!
D. H.
Went for the fear fest event, great event have no complaints accept they only have q toilet block and the line was around 45 minutes, males luckily could cut the queue to use the urinal but when in a large mixed Group waiting was still an issue. They could have resolved this by playing a few portable toilets around the site.
S. B.
Thank you Doug and Hannah and the team at Avon Valley, we had such a fabulous time at the Fire Pit night. The children thought it was so special to have the play area "to themselves" and seeing the animals going to bed. The music was also a great hit with the kids (and adults!). We were all very disappointed when it had to end! A thoroughly fantastic evening x
S. P.
Had a great day 5hrs in total. Grandson 5yrs old loved the different activities especially the Jeep Safari. Because entry is staggered there weren't many long queues. Will definitely go again.
G. C.
Brilliantly organised once again! Loved our day out at the Avon valley pumpkin patch, made even more splendid with dressed up characters giving out sweets and such a lovely set up! Can’t wait for next year!
R.
Had a wonderful time at Christmas nights, my son LOVED it! Lights were lovely, plenty to see and do, even met santa walking around and the grinch, would definitely recommend, will definitely be going back again
N. K.
Honestly had the best day for my daughter's 2nd birthday yesterday, even better than expected. Would highly recommend this for children of all ages/families, and will definitely going again! Absolutely fantastic place, and staff were all very friendly and helpful.
L. B.
Great family day out we had yesterday. Five of us cycled to this adventure and animal park from Bath via the famous cycle way.
We bought a ticket online just before we entered to the park so the check in was even faster than usual. Check the opening time online before you arrive to area.
Warm welcome from beginning and all the staff who we meet with in park was extremly friendly.
Generous portion of ice cream :) , all the snacks and bites you need for kids is there to buy.
The strawberry railway is a must and we loved to feed the animal too. (Animal food can be purchased also online)
We can not wait to visit the park again.
Thank you guys.
Lajos and Eva
W. E.
Loved every minute, pumpkin picking was great fun the actors were lovely and did an amazing job with a good balance of spooky & friendly.
Kind of wish there was more open though as pumpkin canon wasn’t there and the haunted walk through was still shut when we left
l. C.
Great place, plenty of things to do for the grandkids, well worth a visit.
C. D.
Really nice evening out, for an hour or 2. Our 2 year old son really enjoyed picking the pumpkins & seeing all the people dressed up! Defo will be back next year for sure.
M. D.
What a great day we had. Weather was lovely and we were surprised how many activities were available for our 6 and 4 year old grandchildren. The grounds were immaculate and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Thank you to everyone for giving us a day to remember.
R. P.
Visited yesterday with family and had a great day out. The Dinosaur trail is fantastic, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the whole park is kept really clean. Looking forward to our next visit soon.
L. h.
Amazing time at the Alpaca animal encounter. Keeper was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all of the animals at the park. Very patient with the children. Would highly recommended!
J. T.
We had an amazing day at Avon valley with a group of 10children the day went perfect. The foam party at the end was the best, if I had anything to contribute it would be, fixing the blue slide, maybe putting more toddler toys in the toddler area. Also the cars I think you shouldn’t have to pay for as the price for the park is quite expensive and then having to pay £2 for child for the cars for 2mins is abit cheeky
J. S.
Really well laid out, plenty to do, plenty of animals to see, and staff are extremely attentive. fantastic value for money. The dinosaur Exploration set is great fun for the kids.
D. R.
What a great place. The Halloween by night event was absolutely brilliant. Great atmosphere helped by the excellent staff and cast of characters.
Food and drinks all reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back for other events
E. V. B.
Took my 3yr old for the fist time she had an amazing day out staff were so friendly lots to see we did not have 1 moan of wanting to go home but the opposite she wanted to stay would definitely recommend and will definitely be goin again
R. M.
Ice skating and the Christmas lights was amazing, the kids loved it and so did we!! Lots to do and more around every corner. Absolutely brilliant, well worth a visit.
G. B.
Such an incredible day yesterday. Park staff were amazing Dan was so engaging and knowledgeable on the meerkat experience. And Doug let the kids play in the foam party section after it had finished. Little things like when one of our icecreams fell off the cone staff replaced it with out me even having to ask are why this place is so incredible.. booking our camping pitches for the summer holidays ASAP!! 5 members of our part are autistic and there needs were met at every turn. There is even information on the website to help you plan your day.. Thank you all for making my daughters 5th birthday amazing..
K. A.
What a fantastic morning! Staff were so friendly and enthusiastic. The covid measures worked perfectly and allowed us to just enjoy ourselves. Numbers were low so space to enjoy all activities and the peace and quiet along the river.
A perfect day out for young families. Thank you very much all.
T. F.
We booked a 2-person Meet The Owls experience. Our tour guide was Dan, who was fantastic - he struck the perfect balance between sharing fun facts and his (clearly extensive) zoology knowledge, while also giving us plenty of time to take pictures and appreciate the birds. I wore a pointed witches hat even though it's April, and neither he nor any member of staff said a word about it, or even looked twice, which I really really appreciated. (I don't like that it attracts attention but I am glad I wore it because the photos are truly magical)! We spent about 1.5 hours with the owls - Bobbin inside her enclosure, and with Merlin in an more open space. Dan left us both hold and stroke the birds (with the back of our hand, because the oils on our hand can damage their feathers - one of the many things we learned) and didn't mind that we were endlessly photographing the owls, even while he chatted with us! Once we were done and the park was closing, he generously walked us round to learn about all the other animals - from the alpaca and (new) meerkats to the foxes. Dan also told us all about his own animals that he looks after! Every single member of staff we encountered, from the ones staffing the entrance to the keepers to those in the shop - were absolutely wonderful. The experience was perfect and I would recommend it to anyone, of any age! Thank you so much to everyone involved. It was a really special day that I will treasure for a long time.
B. N.
Visited for ‘Christmas Nights’ and ice skating. It was fantastic! The light trail was beautiful and we also enjoyed the funfair. The skating was great fun and really well organised
s. s.
Avon Valley is a fabulous & creative park. I have only ever had fantastic experiences there; from visiting the park, playing on the soft play, walking along the river, going to gigs, hunting around the pumpkin patch, the safari driving tour & farm shop through Covid-times. Hats off to the crew.
T. L.
I spent the day at Avon Valley Country Park with my niece and nephew who are big fans of the park and all of the exciting activities that are available.
The staff were all very welcoming whilst ensuring that everyone at the park was staying safe due to Covid protocol.
We had a great day jam packed with family fun, I would recommend to friends and family.
J. A.
Visited yesterday for the morning session and it was brilliant. The park was immaculately clean, the staff friendly and felt safe visiting. Lots of places to sit and eat snacks and lunch. Rides were fantastic and I would highly recommend this as a lovely time out with kids.
L. B.
We visited Santa at the North Pole and had a wonderful time. The elves, pilot and Santa were brilliant and everyone went over and above to make it special. We would definitely come back again. Thank you!
A. B.
My children always have a great day out at Avon Valley. So much to keep them occupied, the new jeep safari and the bouncing pillow were particular hits. Great value for money too.
N. H.
With four energetic grandchildren to entertain over an age range of 6 to 14 Avon Valley has something for everyone to enjoy, even Grandparents! The new dinosaur park and research lab were particularly good and well thought through.
J. L.
I took my 18 month old here and she absolutely loved it. The site is well organised (especially in these Covid times), clean and there's plenty to do for small children. Lots of seating too if you need a rest after running after a toddler!
L. M.
Christmas nights
Lights were beautiful, lots of activities to do along the way including train ride, marshmallow toasting (small extra charge), The grinch, Christmas post room.
Highly recommend
F. B.
This as such a fun, and scary event. It is great that the mazes are changed each year so there is something new even if you have been before. My teenagers and I both had a great evening.
l. t.
Avon Valley exceeded all our expectations. A brilliant day out. So many different ways to entertain my children (6 and 2yrs). They had a blast. It couldn’t be any more Covid safe and thrilled to see it open and thriving again. We’ll be back next half term 😊
I. S.
Absolutely brilliant had a wonderful family day out at Avon Valley pumpkin patch day. Staff was fantastic, interactiving with everyone, plenty of pumpkins, shows was great I would Highley recommend going....can wait for next year.
S. T.
Great day out, with lots of great activities to do and animals to see. Good covid safety measures and not too many people in the park. Also the loaded fries were amazing! Can't wait until our next visit!
H. G.
Great afternoon with my boys. They enjoyed all the animals, dinosaurs, trains and tractors!! We will definitely be visiting again.
My only criticism would be that the bouncy pillows were too busy and maybe should numbers be monitored.
A. S.
Had a great time at Avon Valley. Staff were very helpful and cheerful. Cleaning due to Covid 19 was been done well from what we could see. Everything seemed clean and tidy. Kids had a great time and I think the time slot was long enough and still good value for money.
C. F.
Brilliant place to chill and relax. First day of the summer holidays it was quiet, I felt save and comfortable staying for the whole day. And the kids enjoyed everything, including the ice cream and golf.
M. M.
Overall we had a great day out with my two boy's, on Saturday, eldest with additional needs. I would like to especially say that Amber at the Dino adventure speciem tent was so good with our son, he really put her to the test, but it was no bother, she was calm, friendly, knowledgeable and had a lovely way with my son.. thank you Amber 🤩
E. B.
Please can you pass on our thanks to all your staff -they were very patient answering lots of questions from the cubs- we all had a great day out with you – so much to do, the cubs really enjoyed themselves and the leaders too!! Always very welcoming and were very accommodating in the shop as all the cubs had their pocket money (in cash) to spend!
Thank you again
Ellen

Great place for children. Been a couple of times now and always fabulous. Large outdoor play area and wooden climbing area. Indoor play areas, lovely large cafe and they have events there such as for Halloween which was a Witches and Wizard School which. This particular event was a lovely idea but for £15 was not as great as we had hoped. The activities they did were just 4 activities and very very basic such as decorating a broomstick with chalk and ribbons. Nice idea but children got bored quite quickly. The park itself is fabulous.
R. w.
This was our first time at the park. We really liked it and will definitely be back. All the staff were friendly and helpful, Animals are well looked after, we learnt a lot about Buster from a staff member (Maddie I think her name was) Toilets were very clean, food from the van was really nice.
Only one thing that I found was the hand washing stations around the park there was no paper towel in them and the soap had ran out. But I expect they just run out quick and we just got there at the wrong time not really a major problem for us. I can’t believe we never knew about this place before and we are only 20 miles away. We only found out about it in lockdown when we saw it on Facebook.
I’d definitely recommend going here our daughter loved it and was asking if we could go back next week.
J. U.
Visited today - Aug 19th 2019. Took our 2 Grandchildren aged 3 and 7. We had a great half day as we didn't arrive till rain had stopped. So felt that £56 was a bit expensive for the amount of time there. However we did think that for a whole day it would be money well spent. Lovely indoor soft play area, enjoyed by both children (separate areas for each age group, but in same place, so no worries watching both of them). Little Grand daughter loved the animals there. The foam shooter with nice upbeat disco music outside was great and both got thoroughly foamed. All the children seemed to love that. Sadly we felt that the miniature train ride was in need of updating. Train itself was good, but the vistas of very well worn gnomes, tire painted minions and dinosaurs in the long weedy grass, need a big overhaul. This could be really exciting if money spent on it.
There was much that we didn't do because of time restraints, but there was s riverside walk, boat rides and a nature pond that we didn't get to see. To finish the day, both children were absolutely enthralled with the outdoor bouncers. Wonderful to let off steam at the end of the day. Would recommend getting there at the start of the day as there are lots of animals introduced in the barn area, on a half hourly basis during the day, allowing children to get up close to them.
I'm sure we will be visiting again.
F. D.
Went here for fear night last night - got the fast track pass. Absolutely amazing - set up so well, so much detail and care. Food was great, massive portions and definitely money’s worth.
Thank you so much!!
M. L.
Decent place to take family. Prices are odd. Anyone except babies that are carried and tiny will be charged adult. Rides and attractions within park are additional cost unless you purchase an upgraded ticket. Which allows you one go. Yes that's right ONE go on each ride.
The climbing frame is excellent to let the kids one around and (hopefully) tire themselves out.
Staff were really friendly except for the lady in charge of the swing ride, who while strapping my 2year old (same price entry as an adult!) was fully engrossed in conversation over her in ear walkie talkie. No! Avon Valley. You pay full attention to my sons safety before ANYTHING else. Which I told the lady much to her displeasure.
Let's put it this way, now we have been there and done it we won't need to go again.
J. W.
Absolutely fab day yesterday! It felt a little busy but felt safe.
The rides were free which was a bonus.
I love it here and I’m so glad it’s back open.
Ready for camping in June 👍
D. S.
What an amazing place. The staff were amazing!! We managed to see everything!! A big thanks to kev, he was brilliant entertaining our 2 year old!! Grace was amazing. We managed to see the dinasours back stage!! Just a big thankyou to everyone there. You're doing a brilliant job. We also camped, and all the facilities were spot on. Keep doing an amazing job all of you and see you soon 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
N. M.
Our experience with Sammy the meerkat was so special; we want to hug Sammy every day! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly too. We also loved the train and the other animals. A great family day out.
C. R.
The Halloween experience was ok. With a family of 4 it ended up quite expensive as normally once you are in that's it. With the exception of buying food and drink. But having to pay for the fair rides and the pumpkins ment it was an expensive day out.
N. D. P.
Really fab place! Went to the fireworks this evening with the kids and it was fantastic; lots of unexpected special effects were added to the display - wont mention what and spoil it for others going this weekend, but they were ace!
Thanks Avon Valley and Aardvark FX for a fantastic evening!
f.
This occupied a whole day for me and my three year old. Get the Adventurer's pass - it gives you one free go on each of the mini railway, a swing carousel, a tractor ride and the jeeps. This is worth it from a money point of view, as each go on these costs a few quid extra otherwise. The jeeps were very clever, and let the little one drive around a track while I was perched with an emergency stop switch to make it safe. My boy loved the railway so much that I feel I pretty much bought shares in it on the day we went and the staff/volunteers were really friendly and good with the kids.
The animals were well cared for and generally lovely. Lots could be fed, and there was lots of scheduled animal interaction that I felt was well spaced out.
We ate here, and the food was pretty good - I had a nice jacket potato and there were more delicious looking options. A seperate kids menu as you'd expect.
This is a great place with lots of stuff I've not mentioned - I went just before the school holidays and it was quite quiet. I imagine it is more of a scrum over summer holidays!
L. D.
Went to fear at avon valley well worth the money... Fadt track tickets worth getting
K. V.
Absolutely brilliant all the family enjoyed it.
The only thing that was somewhat disappointing was the polar express train as it was at least 95% in the dark so some lights around there would have been great
S. O.
Fabulous family day out, at first we thought it was a little expensive but by the end of the day we knew we had our monies worth & had a wonderful day with lots to see & do. Great facilities & very clean, with friendly & helpful staff available all over the grounds. We went home with a very happy 2 year old.
o.
Avon valley is awesome, you can feed animals, go on the tractor ride or the mini railway or play inside in the play barn. There’s a fair bit more to do besides but you can easily fill a day there even if it’s raining. Great value for money and the foam party at the end of the day is a great touch
