i fell in love with kaspa’s! they have such great waffles and ice cream sundaes. there’s tons of options to choose from so you can pretty much customize the items to your liking. definitely recommend you stop here for a sweet treat

We love every single dessert we've tried here (in store and delivery)! The staff are also very lovely! We loved their strawberry shortcake waffle (photo) and sundaes! Our favourites though, which we order quite often, are their frappes and bueno cookie dough with extra strawberries and custard (photo)! Yum! Their prices are great to the portions and quality they offer, highly recommended!

**Update** 2022 - we have been back for my sons 9th birthday and it was fantastic! He had two birthday extravaganza’s. Staff were wonderful in meeting all our needs. 2019- Clean, lots of seating and space. Friendly and vibrant with delicious desserts! Background upbeat music gives it a great atmosphere, very american. Family loved it! Will be returning. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent time here, the evening wasn't so busy and I went with a friend. We were greeted and invited, shown where to sit in a quiet place but not too far in. It was our first time so subsequently were advised how to order. The food arrived hot and at the same time. Lots of permutations and combinations you can have, but if you want to make your own, that is possible. The music was great and lively! Truly had a great time here. Desserts are fairly priced for their portion and the quality is very good! Would recommend a visit for hot and cold desserts.

We enjoyed are trip to Kaspas, but they loose a star for a) music too loud, young 'un actually kept complaining about it! b) no kids options or sized options, apart from milk shake, not a major issue as he shared mine but still would have been nice to order him his own... We both had sundaes which were about £7 each, they currently do a hot drink for £1 with each desert so that wasnt bad. The sundaes were nice and very filling... I am not a small chap and I struggled to finish the one we had (and I was sharing with little man!) Worth a visit if you are in the area, I'm not sure its somewhere I will go back to often, but its certainly an experience!

If you fancy something sweet this is the place for you! Kaspa's has a huge range of desserts and shakes and is definitely worth a try. The portion sizes are huge and I would recommend sharing one dessert between two people. In terms of prices, two meals and two drinks cost around £15 and if you have a valid student card be sure to ask to get that 10% discount .

Sorts you out with type 2 diabetes in no time. All sorts of sugary stuff delivered and it all tastes nice. Well worth the visit to charge up small children with energy.

Has a wide selection of desserts and if you didn't like any of the combos on the menu you could build your own. Friendly staff, the waitress who lead us to our table offered to turn down the music without us even asking. I ordered the peanutbutter choc waffle and it was massive!!!! I managed just over half of it and at £6.50 it pains me to leave it behind 😂. It was tasty enough but I feel it is a bit pricey. I would have preferred smaller portions at a lower price cos you can't always find someone who would want to share the same dessert as you (e.g. I wanted waffle and my friend wanted ice cream sundae). Saying that I have no doubt my kids would absolutely love this place and providing I could get them to agree to share a dessert it would be no more expensive than taking them for cakes at Patisserie Valerie.

I personally love kaspas but I have to give less stars due to the icecream machine being broken when we went and they were also out of fruit. Consequently, this meant you couldn't choose most of the items on menu.

I thought this place was okay. But this restaurant is not for my wife or me. It is for our children. They have been there independently, my son with us, and my daughter at a friends party. And it is sugar heaven for them. To be fair, at their age, I would have sold both my brothers into slavery to eat here. If they gave stars, I suspect that they would give if five. But while the service at the table was acceptable, it was not good (though there was a very helpful lady at the bar). I was going to give it three stars but this place is for children, not adults and therefore deserves more.

went here for a coffee in a friday night. there is no other coffeeshop opened after dinner so this is the place and we love it! not so crowded maybe its because its winter season! Really nice dessert restaurant new to Colchester. The reasons I and my friends love this pace so much is because: food isn't exactly cheap, but fairly well priced (you could go with either a fiver or a tenner and be satisfied) The food portions are large and very generous - especially their waffles from what I've seen The food is really delicious and a lot of the milkshakes we've tried taste exactly how they've been advertised - e.g. the kinder bueno milkshake tasted exactly of kinder bueno! Customer service is good but not outstanding - serving times are generally low and we were seated very quickly. My order was understood fine and the staff were helpful and enthusiastic. The music in this place can be a little too loud for my liking.

We had a couple of desserts here today. Staff has been polite so no problem there. But once you sit down and your order has been served; they are hard to find. The place could be cleaner. It was a bit messy and we could see there has been recently a birthday party and balloons were left behind. It wasnt easy on the eye. The waffles were fresh and hot. WOW!!! A girl moves to Colchester just before Corona Virus hits & never got a chance to try this place out until after the lockdowns were lifted. Then I did try & I keep on going back for more & more. The menu is an ice cream lovers delight, spoilt for choice in fact. Waffles, sundaes & lots more besides. I do have my favourite. Mint choc chip sundae, omg even writing it & I am salivating, as it's utterly delicious!! Do give it a try, if not there are many other choices. A girl who loves to have fun & enjoy herself. The desserts they make are very nice and very creative, with ranges of dishes from ice creams, waffles, crepes and more. However, your start to feel quite sick after eating a lot due to the sweetness, which I don't think is the restaurant's fault as its just the nature of sweet food. However, the staff seem like they just don't care and you have to get up individually to order and pay for the food, which seems stupid. I would go there again but only for the desserts.

This is a good chance to have your pudding before your meat. This branch has the obligatory American diner decor but it suits the family clientele. At first glance there appears to be a lot of choice on the menu but the variety is not actually huge. There was something for everyone in the party (probably a suitable choice for a birthday party). Those with nut allergies should give this place a wide berth as they cannot accommodate for this. Staff are friendly and attentive. The toilets are clean. Overall a reasonably priced treat

Amazing tasting deserts but that's about it. They forgot one of us all together then asked for receipt. To prove it, and brought them out all at different times with about 15 minute delays between each. The staff barely understood what any of us said due to language barrier (English is not really understood by them) and there's a really loud blender or 10 right behind where you order your food. Price is slightly on the high side and the smoothies taste vile, none of us finished ours as they are far to sweet and taste funny (not fresh) and not sure what else they put in them.

This place is for sugar addicts. No main courses of meat and two veg. You want low fat, will go elsewhere. This is full on luxurious, over the top, huge serving of sweetness. And the food is amazing. All very American inspired with waffles, pie, and pancakes. It's a challenge just to finish the meal but you leave with a smile on your face.

Loved the desserts. Most desserts absouetley massive. Adults really struggle to get through the waffles so be warned for younger children. Waiting times ridiculous...nearly 45 minutes not impressed!! I personally would say this place is hard to do on budget.

The things you can order are really nice, as long as you don't care about the 2000 calories you are about to shove in your face. Staff are mostly very nice and efficient. The main problems are to do with the customers. Unfortunately the target audience for a place like this is young teens and they are, more often than not, loud and a bit sweary. Each of the last 3 or 4 times I have been there there has been loud-ish swearing but the staff have done nothing about it. It could be enough to stop me taking my young children there.

I'm not sure if it's because back home we have plenty of high end dessert bars but I felt that this was a hit and miss. The music is quite loud which made it hard to talk. Staff where lovely though. The tables and chairs had that yucky kind of feel to them being plastic. Now for the real part. Yes the best desert I have had since being in the UK. But i don't see all the hype others have given this place. Gelati was meh and waffles and crepes again not as flavorsome as what we have had before.

I was not impressed with my experience at kaspas, this is because of the food that my friends and I were given. The service at kaspas was of an ok standard, however the food at was not very impressive, the presentation was well done, but on the other hand the brownies were too hard and overcooked, they had a black colour and not brown, also the ice cream had a nice flavour but melted way to fast for the desert, after one minute of eating I had a bowl of cream. Therefore I would not suggest this place to any others and will not be going myself again.
