I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place or the staff. Their food is PHENOMENAL, full of flavor, fresh ingredients, patient and wonderful staff and they're more than happy to make adjustments to your allergies. I've never felt so welcome and at home than in this restaurant. The ambiance is stunning, the temperature was never too cold or too warm, the smells are mouth-watering and the portions are more than fair for the price. They should be way more popular than they already are. I hope this amazing establishment remains open forever! If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would. Keep being amazing! ♥

Has to be one of the best places ever for a cocktail and a meal, the food is awesome and such a change for Dunfermine. Classy but not too expensive, a good place for date night😍. Oh wow! So many amazing choices to choose from! The food was incredible! And the service was super friendly and very helpful when a couple questions were asked. Comfy seating, clean and relaxed environment too made for a brilliant first time visit. We'll definitely be back! Thank you so much.

Actually quite average. Reviews looked good, website looked good, menu looked good, decor was smart and upbeat. Service was pleasant but understaffed so a bit slow. Meal was rather disappointing... a bit over cooked, a bit dry and over salted. Massive menu so probably not a lot of fresh, probably why there was a bit more salt! Not the best Japanese/Asian food I have, actually have had better at Wagamama (for quite a bit less)!

Great, chill place to go for dinner of an evening. The food there is fantastic - loved the chicken katsu curry and haggis balls! Staff were really fantastic too, and I'll definitely be going back in the future.

Went for dinner, ordered the pork ramen and chicken katsu. Food was excellent, ramen broth was fantastic and chicken in the katsu curry was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere of the place was enjoyable. Would definitely go there again for food and look forward to trying their bubble tea and lunch Bento boxes.

Was a recommendation from a friend, and we were in high expectations for ‘the best ramen he ever had’. Well, it took a little while wait for our food and they were well presented. However I have to say they were not that impressed. The soup base was so light, and for some reason the chef like to use Japanese pickled gingers to deco the bowl where in our food it took over the main favour way too much. The ramen itself wasn’t great either, it tastes like egg noodle rather than ‘ramen noddles’ you normally get, very hard, close to ‘undercook’ I must to say. The yakitori was nice though. All in all, it wasn’t something worth 20 plus quids each. Very disappointed.

Spent a lovely evening here having a soup, Japanese curry, vegi tempura, a donburi and a poke bowl. Myself and my partner loved it. Felt very healthy and fresh. Given we were here for a dave gorman gig and were looking for a evening meal, this was a great find and would recommend it.

Overall not a great experience. Sushi was soggy. Parts of vegetarian ramen were really cold and the soup hot. The egg was not poached as described in the menu. They messed my sisters main up, when it finally arrived we had all finished our mains and her chicken came on a bed of chips! Even though she had ordered chips as a side! They also forgot the chilli dip for her chips. They were very apologetic and did not charge us for the delayed main or the drinks. We did have to order extra sushi though so my sister was not eating her dinner alone.

The customer service was excellent. The sushi wasn’t consistent, for example two of the salmon sushi I ordered don’t have salmon on it. Wouldn’t recommend the ramen since they use machine made egg noodles rather than handmade noodles. I’d expect something higher quality since the food is pricey.

The interior is really nice but everything else struggled to match. The food is expensive when compared to anything in Glasgow or Edinburgh and the quality wasn't up the the prices being asked. My pad Thai was blatantly reheated leaving me with burnt chewy chicken and slimy noodles. The others had ramen which had burnt pork but at least the broth was nice.

My partner and I ordered sushi as a treat, the food was amazing and definitely satisfied our sushi cravings! We collected as there was no option for delivery on the website to our area, and found they had forgotten a sushi set when we got home. Phoned about this issue, and the staff were really good, and sent the delivery driver down with our missing set and a couple of free drinks. Will most certainly be ordering again!

The food here is delicious, fresh and plenty to choose from on the menu. I had the tempura king prawn katsu curry which was yummy and the chicken goyza for starters. The prices are not to bad a bit pricey but worth It as the food is delicious. The staff are super friend and the place is clean and the decor is nice.

I cannot recommend Koku Shi enough. Great quality food, super attentive staff and a lovely looking restaurant. We asked for a recommendation of 'something different' to try and ended up with the haggis sushi. It sounds like it would be bad but it was amazing! I'll definitely be back.

Friendly staff and fantastic food, and to make it even better they don't sell alcohol, but you can go across the road to Tesco and bring your own beer and wine with no problems. Went again in August, exactly the same, everything was fantastic, I wish I could give them another five star rating. £30 off the bill helped as well. 01-05-22 update. Still fantastic food and service, they now sell alcohol.

New experience, chop sticks but knives and forks available if you want. No alcohol sold but you can bring your own drink (Tescos just across the road). Friendly waiters. Vegetarian dumplings starter- very nice and a tasty, also prawn curry with rice for main meal. Glad I tried it, will go back !

Went for a meal for 2 on Friday night and this restaurant was not busy. There were a few other tables, but I was surprised it was quiet. A big menu (almost too big for an indecisive person like me) with a wide selection of sushi and Japanese style food. Sushi was very well presented and tasty. Want sure what to expect with a cabbage pancake but it was amazing. Katsu curry and pad Thai noodles for mains were great. Tofu wasn't fried so texture was a bit meh. We didn't realise they don't have a drinks license so a quick trip over the road to Tesco was required, but that did mean it was a cheaper night than we were expecting. Bonus.

Popped in for a late lunch with my son yesterday. Great helpful service. Fantastic lunch time menu we had the seafood bento box. Both the miso and Japanese curry soup were very tasty. The bento box had a great selection and was very filling and extremely tasty. Would definitely recommend trying this. We’ve already decided to make our regular place to eat out.

The vegan menu is hugely appreciated and absolutely delish. I got the vegan haggis balls they are to die for, perfectly cooked too. Miso soup is yummy as was the vegan tofu omelette dish. Comes with a lovely wee set of chopsticks too. Not been this delighted by a take away delivery in a very long time. Dae it folk's.
