Girl was really helpful when in today with my grandsons also very patient and of course for me memories and got some old fashion sweets toffee doddles,frying pans and sweet tobacco loved it remembers me a bit like the old jeanie vietchis from the Southend when I was a kid will be back

Great wee shop. Every sweet you can think of. So many retro sweets, brought back so many childhood memories. Can be a little expensive, but they do amazing £5 boxes, kids favourites, retro favourites, and many more. Ideal little Xmas prezzies. They also do lots of cakes, and old school style cakes, all flavours of icecream. And if that isn't enough they do home delivery right to your door!

The place has various kinds of sweets and ice cream with a low price. The staff are friendly. However, I asked them for vegetarian gummy candies but they were not sure because they did not label them and they brought the booklet to lookup every gummed we ask for. It would be helpful if they label the gummies for the customers to see.

For the price, cheap and good quality. Depends on the staff you get to whether you get what you want to pay for. I had a large pick and mix order for a movie night i was planning with my friends. The girl who served me was really rude and cut me off after i got £1s worth of pick and mix. I put in a delivery instead and it took 2 hours to come. The store called me to update me when it should be coming, which was nice and the girl who spoke to me then was nice. So mixed review, i just dont think id go in again for a while seems like alot of hassle.

Amazing place with favourable collection of sweets, they have loose ice cream collection too- from cookie dough flavour to kinder Buenos, Maltesers flavour.i had their ice cream. Staff behaviour friendly.

Felt dead sorry for the two girls working tonight. Place was busy and the tango blast machine started leaking slush everywhere. Long wait but it couldnt be helped.. enjoying my cheesecake now

I give Candyland a 4 star rating because although it's fantastic and has a great selection of sweets and treats and I love it, and although it has a great old school sweety shop feel to it and the staff are friendly, patient and great with the customers, I think they could look a little more professional with perhaps a Candyland uniform. But a great place for the kids to go for a special treat.

Pleased to see this shop open recently in Gorgie and it seems to be popular with locals of all ages. The shop sells a wide range of classic boiled sweets, bars and individual sweets. There is also an ice cream counter. You buy the sweets in the amounts you want, eg £1s worth of sherbet lemons, which makes it perfect for stretching out that pocket money and getting a little bit of everything you fancy!

You can get just about any kind of sweet you could possibly want however it is a cash only shop and the nearest cash machine is either at Sainsbury's or along Gorgie Road.
