If you are looking for a sweet treat, Caffe Gelato has you covered. Gelato cafe's are popping up all over Hull and the quality is quite high. With Caffe Gelato you have the usual varied choice of ice cream, with flavours from Vanilla to Bubblegum (my son's favourite), waffles, cookies, soft and hot drinks, HUGE slices of cake and the highlight for me, amazing cheesecake. You can also have a savoury option too, with some very good looking offering. The place could do with a little bit of a refurbish however, as it is looking a little tired but this shouldn't put you off going. With reasonable prices and enough choices for every sweet tooth, Caffe Gelato is well worth a visit.

Caffe Gelato has always been one of my favourite dessert places so when I became vegan I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to enjoy it anymore..luckily for me, they have vegan options! I tried the fruity sundae which was vegan, as long as they removed the wafer. I was so pleased, it was sooo delicious! It included raspberry sorbet, lemon & lime sorbet and blood orange sorbet plus a fruity sauce and fresh fruit on top!😍 The members of staff who work here are also so lovely and didn't mind the onslaught of "is this vegan" for the 5 minutes that my friends and I were ordering🤣 I would recommend this place to anyone! Reasonable for the price, the savoury food was alright but nothing spectacular. The price is reasonable to compensate this though. The desserts are definitely the best thing about this place, if I were to visit again I'd probably share a single sundae with my partner rather than get my own as they are whoppers. Cake was extra large portion so we shared it and the large mocha was the best I have tasted. Serves other food at reasonable prices which we didn't know about but when we saw them brought out there was good size portions. Will definitely go back and try the food and the extensive range of ice cream they have. Was a lot cheaper than most of the places in that area only wish we had found it first before eating.

As great as always, everything is divided safely for covid with perspex screens where necessary but a full and varied menu that pleased the whole group that was there, and despite the main attraction being the ice cream (which is amazing), their savoury options are also really tasty.

A lovely place for a treat. The waffles pancakes and cookie dough are all gorgeous and really filling. So choose carefully when selecting your toppings. I'm a massive desert lover & couldn't manage to eat all mine. The quality,selection and service is excellent. I've been a few times now and I'm never disappointed. I'm definitely a addicted return customer. My only complaint if you can call it that is I think they could offer smaller portions at a lower price. For a family of 4 it could quite pricey,so an option of one waffle or pancake for kids or for those with not such a big sweet tooth could be more reasonable for anyone's budget. The wait is worth it every time. Overall excellent.

As a lover of ice cream, caffe gelato is one of my favourite places in Hull, the selection they offer is brilliant! My favourite is probably the jaffa cake flavour but I also love visiting near Halloween and Christmas for their seasonal flavours. As well as the gelato being delicious, the pancake, waffles and cakes are all lovely too and the savoury food is also quite nice.

Whilst having an ice-cream with my son I noticed a folder advertising full cakes. My daughter's birthday was only days away but, as usual, I was not very organised and hadn't thought about the cake! I asked the waitress what the chances were of ordering a cake for 4 days time - she very helpfully called the chef at home and asked if he would be able to make one. He could and he did and it was absolutely amazing! We went for the "chocolate delight(?)" choosing a vanilla sponge with chocolate icing inside - can't remember what it was called but wasn't butter cream, was more like a mousse and was beautiful. The cake itself was iced and presented to perfection, it was loaded with different chocolate bars and, although I only ordered a small, it was huge. My daughter was thrilled with it, only trouble is all four of my children now want one for each birthday! I will definitely be ordering again - great cake, great staff response - thank you!

Wide variety of ice cream flavours and the opportunity to make waffles and pancakes personalised by choosing ice creams, sauces and additional toppings. It can take around 10 minutes to be served but it's worth the wait. Usually busy inside with families, so I'd suggest sitting outside if you wanted to enjoy in a quieter area.

Always have to visit this cafe everytime I visit hull now. The staff are really friendly and the food is reasonably priced and of good quality. The waffles they serve are amazing although I'm never able to finish them. Good atmosphere and perfect for a coffee and catch up, lunch or dessert after dinner.

Absolutely amazing service and some of the best desserts in town. There are even some choices for vegans. I used to think of the Newland Avenue branch as a downmarket alternative to the newer one on Princes Ave, but the superb service makes up for the slightly tired and less modern look on Newland. The range of gelato and other food is not exactly the same between the branches but there is a lot of overlap and the food is equally delicious.

Vegan options are available!! Dairy free ice cream and sorbet also. The image on the left isn't vegan, it was my friends, however I am sure that a vegan serve will be available. I do not remember the name exactly, but it's ice-cream with coffee poured - beautiful. I had a soya latte, which was beautiful and complimented with a biscuit & a polite print on the top. The place over all is very clean *NEWLAND AVENUE*, the staff are polite and helpful. The one negative I must input is, the baby changing - although it is available and that is great - the change is above a toilet, which I think is rather unsettling. The place is great, welcomes any age but just note the baby change facility is above a toilet in a small room that only has a toilet in.

This place is the BEST place in the newland ave area for a coffee and a pudding. They have a huge selection of delicious gelato, sorbets and frozen yoghurt. They have loads of tempting cakes, and waffles, crepes, hot cookie dough it's amazing! They do do normal food like paninis wraps etc aswell you can go for lunch but save room for dessert! It's extremely family friendly and lovely atmosphere, really nice staff and reasonably priced 👍

I've simply become addicted to this very unassuming gem of Newland Avenue! Theres nothing not to love: the menu is thoughtful, great value and provides ingenious flavour combinations and variety in unusual and incredibly tasty combinations that leave you with an exceptional taste in your mouth. I am yet to try the gelato itself - though am so confident in the chef's cooking skills that not only will I be sampling then buying the tubs to take home (which yes, you can do!) I will also be calling shortly to commission a cake for my father's 60th...if you like baking, art and food...the cakes are something to be witnessed and taken time to enjoy...my favourites include any of the Ferrero rocher cakes/desserts (the cream and sauce included even with takeout is also a beautiful touch so please don't stop these little unique touches that set you apart from the big chains!) You'll get 5 stars when the indoor decor is refreshed but for now, I'm actually quite happy with the unassuming aesthetic as I feel I have my own secret gem but I want to keep you for as long as possible so any design tips, please give me a shout, I'd be honoured to help!

Great ice cream and service, it is busy though and like a cafeteria so not particularly relaxing, i had what was a surprisingly good burger in a good bun with actual mozzarella, the portion of crisps and salad on the side though was pretty poor and my least favourite thing about the whole experience was the cheap ketchup, what's the point in a luxury burger when you scrimp on the tomato ketchup, heinz is the definitive sauce of choice and would have made such a difference :(
