Food was nice , thought we would eat outside sunny day, realised funny stinking smell , don't think these ashtrays get emptied , put me and the wife right off
A. S.
Great for a roast. Portion size will fill the hungriest of people. Service leaves alittle to be desired, waited a while to be seated and stood at the bar for a refill whilst being ignored by the person serving (nobody else there to be served). In all good value for money but service could be better.

We enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere of the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure a few times during the meal that everything was ok.
Our only disappointment was that the lamb was a bit tough, however with everything else being well cooked, hot and tasty we did nit complain.
B. T.
We had Danielle as our server, and from the get go she was absolutely fantastic. It was my first time back at a Toby carvery in 2-3 years, and she reinforced my faith in the hospitality the servers provide!
Thank you Danielle!

The service from both Will and Yasmin was excellent.
Granddaughter has soya and dairy allergy, will guided us through what she could have
Yasmin was brilliant, great service, friendly and brilliant support whilst waiting for our daughter who had been in hospital
S. C.
Disappointed, we ordered chicken goujons to start with and you couldn’t cut them they were so hard. Yorkshire puddings were really hard too and everything was just like warm. Waiting staff were very friendly and efficient though, we will not be visiting for a while.

Main course excellent.
Pudding very poor. They just poured the crumble mixture in it. Didn't cook it at all. Sent it back 3 times and by then the custard was cold.. So sorry only a 3
C. S.
The service was absolutely brilliant very professional and friendly especially Henry who served us, he was patient and extremely polite a real credit to Toby! The meat was absolutely delicious, the only criticism was that the vegetables were a little on the cold side but this didn’t ruin our meal we enjoyed it but would have preferred the vegetables to have been hotter!!
C. H.
I am a vegetarian and probably would welcome back the parsnips very much, alongside the cabbage. But the service was friendly and the rest was tasty. Also missing the old bread sauce :). My husband is a "cola expert" and the tap ones are always flat.

Hi I had to take my friend to castle hill hospital had quite a delay there on the way home we decided to have a bite to eat .We called in at this eating house we decided to have sandwiches they we're amazing I had beef in white bread it was the filling that kept the bread on the plate it was so fresh and light the beef was plentiful and tender and to boot fresh crispy salad m friend had roast potatoes with gravy and all for under £12 fantastic
J. S.
Excellent once again. The good thing about this place is you can have as much or as little as you choose. A special mention also to Yasmin who was engaging and attentive throughout.

Stopped here for a coffee and breakfast. First time I have been. Really enjoyed it. Good quality and all you can eat.
M. S.
Breakfast was OK but it's a Toby Carvery so you know exactly what you're getting.
One member of staff was really friendly, the other was a bit miserable.
Prices were very reasonable.
K. M.
Wasn't the best breakfast, wasn't the worst, Yorkshire pud on the breakie didn't sit well for me, thought they'd match in hand in hand, but unfortunately, food was nice and hot, liked the self service on the drinks too, (pepsi etc, not alcohol) only downside to it on food wise was the eggs were too well done, with a skin coating on them, not for me unfortunately and the hash browns were a little under done, but for less then £20 for 2 adults with refillable drink and all you can eat, you can't go wrong,
P. H.
The food is an excellent quality, the service from the staff was without fault and we shall return. One point, the App, it allows me to book but does not remember me and could not use to pay
L. B.
Popped in for a coffee on our trip to the coast. The lady welcomed us and served us our coffee explaining we could top for free (till 11.30 I think) The breakfast on the servery looked amazing
G. S.
Having not been for a while to Toby we decided to revisit and take a look at the new refurbishment. The restaurant is very cosy and feels homely. The food and staff are still as good as they have always been. Very satisfied with our visit and will be back again for sure.
J. M.
Had a lovely meal, we had the carvery it was delicious, friendly staff and toilets etc very clean would recommend 👌
H. T.
Went for lunch with my son-in-law and grandson. Ordered 2 carvery's and a footlong hotdog for my grandson and a takeaway carvery for my daughter who wasn't able to come with us. Got our carvery's and went to the bar to check how long it would be for the hotdog to arrive to be told it wasn't added to the order. If I hadn't checked with them my grandson wouldn't have had any lunch. Not impressed with the service to day the least!
J. R.
Greeting was very good taken two our table service was grwat looking after us great meal..will be coming agin.
A. h.
The staff where very helpful. Carvery was lovely. Had a really enjoyable visit and family get together

The customer service was amazing and the food tasted great, would highly recommend, and I’d definitely go back again, Jack.
S. A.
it was like mcdonalds, doesnt matter which one you go to you know what to expect , the food & service was great and given it was fathers day we couldnt fault the service
T. G.
Nice carvery plenty of veg to choose from and Mac and cheese too which I found strange to have with a roast dinner lol and the usual 4 meats to choose from, Turkey, Beef ,Gamon and Lamb cauliflower cheese roasts etc as well and there Yorkshire puddings are awesome. Service is always brilliant here to
K. W.
I have always eaten at the Bradford one but since moving this toby is the best we have eaten at the customer service is brilliant and the food is yummy
p. j.
Saw report in a daily news paper which gave a very bad report on this restaurant for Christmas day lunch. It must have been somewhere else as the food and service was excellent on the 27th December. Yes the veg were over done but try cooking for a lot of customers who are getting meals over a period and you will get that. By keeping it hot it will keep cooking.
The staff were friendly and efficient and couldn't do enough to help.
Would recommend this restaurant to anyone
h. b.
We booked online so easy to do. Absolutely fantastic service, lovely lady on the desk we arrived earlier got us table straight away. Food was spot on. on the carvery area staff very friendly and chatting away to us. Definitely be going back again
A. T.
Been twice in a few days carvery and breakfast enjoyed both, the service was very good and the atmosphere is great will become a regular thanks
K. S.
Staff nice friendly .plenty off meat on plate and food was hot
J. W.
Went for family lunch, 6 adults & 2 children, all ordered the carvery. But found the food today not as hot as usual and although they brought out a fresh turkey the slices were a bit rubbery & tasteless. The staff were very friendly and welcoming 😘
S. R.
Food and drinks were great, all staff were polite, friendly and efficient
L. B.
Nice carvery plenty of choice. Yorkshire puds could have been better. Reasonable price and will definitely go again
r. l.
We were served by Claire b and trudy, excellent service and so friendly, food excellent
A. A.
It was ok. Only eat all you want cooked breakfast.. No cereal or porridge available for one of our groups dietry requirement.. Bit disapointing compaired to our local Tobys..
J. B.
Decent Toby carvery. Easy parking. Nice helpful staff. Food just about OK. Beef very tough and veg a bit cool.
A. F.
Nice staff. Food substandard and barely edible. Just not good enough.
D. R.
Went today, wife's meal excellent, my meal was excellent too except the beef, it was uneatable, I couldn't really believe the cashier when she said I was the first mention it, because it was so chewy, however its the first time I've had a problem so will continue to visit
s. t.
It's ok
portions differ from person to person I got very little meat but my partner got loads. Staff don't have a clue about any special dietary requirements
Fair price
L. H.
Carvery was excellent and our waitress was brilliant. A lovely treat from my eldest son and family for mothers day.
s. d.
We have always been satisfied with our visits , they have a good choice if food with friendly service.
H. T.
First time here. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Had the lightest Yorkshire pud ever. Friendly staff. Made very welcome. Thank you.
A. G.
Right from the word go we enjoyed the entire experience from lovely staff to great food will definitely be going back well done 👏
S. P.
Recently been refurbished and looks a lot cleaner and tidier then before.
Came to eat here on a Sunday and it was very busy. So busy that we got the last space in the car park when we arrived, others weren’t so lucky and had to wait for spaces to become available.
We had booked a table for 5 o’clock so managed to avoid a long wait time but even then we had to wait 10 minutes for the table to be ready.
Whilst waiting in the queue a couple, ahead of us, pointed out to the carvery chef that his hand was bleeding onto the meat. The chef quickly disappeared into the kitchen and reappeared with a latex glove on his bleeding hand.
There was also a wait for the mashed potatoes to be refilled so this caused a bit of a backlog. The wait felt a bit longer whilst holding a hot plate of food in your hand.
The food was nice though and the ice cream sundaes are great
M. H.
Came for breakfast here on mother's day and it was brilliant. Lovely food and endless drinks. Thanku
G. H.
Very busy, but made room for a couple of walk-ins. The best carvery in Hull, probably! We eat here often.
B. S.
Haven't been to Toby carvery for about 3 yes or so but went there on Wednesday and really enjoyed it. They have certainly improved with their carvery and will certainly be going again.
D.
Absolutely great carvery good choice of meats & veg will be going back again real soon thankyou & would recommend to all 👌
H.
First time at Toby! Carvery was delicious, everyone really really enjoyed it! The staff are so helpful and friendly as well, and it's a really relaxed environment.
We will definitely go back soon!
K. G.
Our table was right near the carvery queue, with lots of people walking passed. Would have preferred a table out the way. Noone was wearing masks or using hand sanitizer. Was very busy and food was nice. Had to wait a while for drinks, due to it being table service
A. R.
Haven't been here since 2018, it's had a refit since our last visit. It all looks clean & tidy. Previously this pub has been very busy & we've been turned away so I booked online, it was very quiet tonight, maybe because it's Bonfire Night? Carvery plentiful & generally delicious. All the staff we met are friendly, cheerful & helpful. 4* review for 2 reasons, disappointingly they only had John Smith's Bitter, not my husband's favourite! Previously the Bitter has been very good. Plus the cauliflower was undercooked. Great puds though. 🍰👍
S. M.
Enjoyed lunch at Tobey carvery with my folks as not visited this carvery since beginning of March this year. Had to book before you could visit, good service. Highly recommended.
E. D.
Excellent carvery. Friendly staff. Perfect. Thanks
T. G. #.
Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and Yasmin looked after us extremely well.
M. W.
Food as always wonderful. Meat cooked to perfection.
T. R.
Food was great but wasn't told until after I paid that I had to get my loyalty card on my app scanned before I paid
A. K.
First time visiting, lovely friendly greet from the staff soon as we entered. Quality of food for the price was excellent. Will definitely be visiting again
c. p.
Staff were friendly and helpful, food was ok, price was reasonable and it was clean and tidy.
R. B.
Great experience, great food. Highly recommended.
L. W.
Still the best carvery around nowadays . Worth the wait plus travel ❤️
g. b.
Good value carvery, very good vegetables, especially the roasties
Turkey was very good , beef poor cut, very chewey, avoid and get the pork
Service not bad, I left a tip
s. o.
Never get tired of Toby, lovely food as always.
Lovely friendly service by all of the staff.
Served by Mel, she was very polite and friendly.
Looking forward to having a breakfast soon.
J. C.
Very busy but queues (at the carvery)were dealt with quickly. Food was good quality, good choice of fresh vegetables and staff were very helpful and pleasant. Definitely recommend the Yorkshire puddings. Generous portion if meat and four choices of meat.
K. D.
Scrummy veg and sides. Self service carvery. Meat, veg, potatoes, Yorkshire Pud and gravy. Unfortunately the beef was really fatty and chewy so we all ended up unable to eat it. The rest of the meal was tasty.
I. B.
Arrived at about 2pm 12/7/21. Covid instruction and equipment at the entrance. Greeted very warmly by the supervisor who checked a table was ready then took us to a very clean table. Went up to meet very quick and capable carver. The three of us had different meats. No trouble. Good Yorkshire puddings and stuffing. Range of fresh vegetables. Delivered to our table by one of the very busy ladies. Payment easy by card.
Staff and customers embracing all safety guidance. Some children eating and all kept to tables by parent.
Enjoyed the food particularly the roast pork and potato and leek roast.
K. S.
Service. Staff were friendly and helpful. Carvery staff were brilliant
C. B.
It was good food and staff were excellent and enjoyed the carvery
S. B.
Fantastic food and drink. Friendly staff and well worth a visit!
J. C.
Just been to Toby carvery and had a sandwich best sandwich ever wil definitely be going back thank you
d. s.
Good fresh food great prices friendly staff very good for the money thank you see you again
M. M.
Staff very friendly carvery very good and good choice of vegetables. Only downside was the plates very sratched which made them look dirty.
O. O. (.
I went in as a surprise meal for my birthday. I received a personalised birthday card from the management, a specially decorated table in a nice little corner with beautiful scenery outside with balloons .
The food was impressive, and the staffs were warm and welcoming
T. D.
Food was great, servers were attentive, nice atmosphere
F. T.
Excellent service and food was delicious lovely warm staff great first time in the area.
R. O.
Dined for the second time at this particular Toby. Food and staff excellent both visit. Will definitely dine here again and again and again!
S. T.
Not bad if you're passing but other carveries in the area are nicer.
L. M.
Went on Saturday 3rd July. The food was excellent. Even had spinach which i love. The beef and pork was so tender you hardly needed a knife. The staff were really pleasant and efficient. Can't praise this place highly enough.
J. E.
Fabulous breakfast, and they let me drink beer at 10am;
K. D.
Friendly welcome on arrival and excellent help. Enjoyed the food
P. S.
So good we went back for breakfast, nice caring staff.
D. B.
I'm not from around this area but been here before very clean very friendly staff . Very nice waitress. Especially yasmin looked after us from star to finish
P. W.
Nearest place to the Haltenprice Crem so the ideal place to call for refreshments when travelling from any distance. Super coffee too.
M. H.
Nice tastie food but wasn't as much choice as their normally is veg wise but other than that great.
E. E.
I took my Dad for Sunday lunch. It was nice food but I don't think it's worth £12 as its still a carvery not a posh restaurant!! Its also hard to see why they can justify charging £5 more then it is mid week for exactly the same meal! (it's £8 usually which is definately well priced).
Would go again but not on a Sunday as there are much nicer places to do for Sunday lunch
R.
Good staff breakfast gone a bit downhill lately but still worth it
D. W.
Always lovely helpful staff, and the food is excellent, really enjoyed our Christmas Dinner. Definitely worth the money.
C. G.
Fab food, polite staff brilliant prices What more do you need
D. !.
Was booked for a birthday treat at 4.50pm got there early and went straight up for carvery, I always have turkey ,got a lots of bits no slices and the lady behind was then told there was no Turkey until 5.30pm .I'm so glad got there early or I would have been very disappointed 😞 a Saturday tea time and you run out of the main reason people go , service very slow and hit and miss
J. L.
Food was better than average, nothing too special. Staff were passive aggressive when it came to seating.
M. C.
Yasmin was very helpful for us and so we’re all the staff :))
D. R.
Lovely evening out. Andrea who was our server was welcoming and friendly. Chris who served us our carvery was chatty and friendly. Definitely recommend this place. The food is very tasty and plenty of choice. Very nice Yorkshire puddings too.
A. J.
When we arrived we was politely greated and told the meat was not ready until 7pm which was fine as we was early anyway, when the meat was ready the manager discreetly told us first as we had our two younger children with us who where hungry so we got their first, that was just 1st class for us and the food was lovely. Well impressed and the staff are a credit to the pub.
A. P.
We had a nice midweek lunch with the family. Sadly they didn't have enough Yorkshire pudding wraps for our whole order, but it was fine.. the alternative was lovely too.. the only thing I would say is that it was a little lighter on the roast beef than it could have been.. I would definitely go again though. The accompanying roast potatoes and gravy are very tasty.
H. H.
Excellent carvery, probably one of the best I've had. Everything was really tasty 😋 x
J. H.
Food was good staff seemed a little confused, drinks were going to the wrong tables, they couldn't tell me where the soda refill machine was. The mens toilets had no toilet paper and there was rubbish all over the floor. Toilets were unusable. We told staff who apologised but 30 minutes later there was no change so we had to use the disabled toilets. I was not very busy just very disorganised, which was a shame as the food was well cooked, hot and the carvery staff very pleasant.
G. L.
I had a breakfast with a yorkshire pudding and onion gravy i just had to try it and it was delicious
k. H.
Standard Toby Carvery, okay for the Sunday roast with no real issues. I enjoyed the meal.
The queue to get to the servery was quite long and then to get back to my seat I had to push back through carrying my plate, so that area would benefit from better control.
C. B.
Yasmin was incredible, friendly and excellent with our son. Amazing service, nothing short of superb!
J. S.
Called here on a whim after shopping at the retail park opposite, the carvery here is well worth the money, it offers various options for the carvery and if you don’t fancy that there is a standard bar menu.
The staff are polite and attentive, the pub is well maintained so it was a great afternoon.
A. R.
Alex Kieran provided great service, showed skills that will take him very far in life
A. C.
On arrival we were shown to a table and were served promptly with our drinks but no one came to take our food order after waiting 20 minutes I had to find a waitress who told us to go to the carvery the meat was OK veg was not very fresh looking and cold
E. C.
Great carvery after a long absence! But it was well worth the wait! Meats were tender and cooked perfectly. Staff were extremely good and helpful (not an easy task with 11 of us Lol!)
C. B.
Another great meal, booked in advance and taken straight to our table. Good portions, tasty food.
J. W.
Nice place, good food with fast, friendly and quick service. The food and drink are well priced and the carvery is also amazing with great food
L. S.
Staff lovely and friendly.
Food was really nice...remember this though, you get what you pay for. Food spot on for the price...tbh I'd be happy with a 3 x massive yorkie, some turkey and their gravy!
n. b.
This place was cold, the food was scarce, waiting for food to be served, the twinnings tea bags are very weak, hot water was warm, milk empty, overall very poor
D. J.
Had lunch here yesterday with my Sister, we both had a carvery my Sister had a vegetarian option followed by a icecream sundae , generous portions and very reasonable price. The food was absolutely lovely, the staff were very attentive, polite and friendly ... this won't be our last visit ... see you soon
N.
Meat tender plenty of vegetables giant Yorkshires roasties just warm
J. L.
Forgot to take a pic but was lovely, carvery was very busy so had to wait in the queue but was to be expected. Had the roast gammon, spot on ,as was everything. The chef carved the meat and 2 other chefs put the roasts potatoes, vegetables, gravy, mint sauce etc on your plate and a waitress took your plate for you to the table, were your drinks that you ordered at the table were there along with your cutlery and condiments. Nice relaxed atmosphere no rushing you to leave your table.
A. W.
Lovely attentive staff with a carvery definitely worth re visiting.
Good food, good price.
r. w.
Loved the food. Nice wee restaraunt too
S.
Not a good experience today sunday 12th Dec got there 10 mins Early at 5.10pm then was told to wait in the bar area just waiting for tables to clear well than couldn't be true as some 30 mins later was still waiting then I experienced a family came In went to the bar and was shown straight to a table so that was enough for me I won't be returning.
A. C.
Excellent food, friendly we will be back. Thanks
G. A.
4 varieties. All different. All spot on. I can't fault this place
A. B.
Lovely staff, food,Christmas decorations,a warm welcome, and they were Very busy,as santa stopped by...
A. M.
Always a good selection of meats and veg - nice friendly service too.
J. C.
Fantastic food, as always. Fast service and great value.
C. A.
Rude bar manager and average food. Polite staff.
D. P.
What a fantastic experience and wonderful food. Our servers Vivienne and Chris couldn't have done a better job. All staff had a smile on their face with wonderful service. Couldn't recommend highly enough, well done to the manageress for running such a professional establishment.
S. M.
Just ok. Food was average to be honest but inexpensive so all good
S. R.
Nice hot food, friendly staff and great service.
B. K.
As always top itch service and great food quality. No better way to enjoy a Sunday roast👍
P. “. W.
Great food at a great price with friendly staff
S. P.
Food delicious, even though not as much choice as usual veg wise
L. P.
Lovely food, I wanted Lamb and they were definitely trying to get carve the bone to get the last pieces as they didn't want to start carving the new one. To the point I just requested beef instead as I actually wanted some meat on my plate!
H. S.
Popped on off-chance for tea. Managed to seated straight away and have a lovely carvery. Friendly service ( Vivienne) and (Will) carving the meats.
J. B.
Good food. Excellent service. Waitress were polite and attentive. Not bad prices either. Nice experience altogether
C. H.
Great food, great portion size, what more can Yiu ask for oh yeah also great value for money
m.
OK. Carvery not very hot, and there was ants crawling up the wall at the side of our table!!
M. C.
Every time perfect food, perfect service, can't ask for more
G. P.
Really friendly staff, great carvery & resonably priced. Portions more than you can eat.
H. S.
Partner ordered the veg option , did not serve it, ended up with veg for just under £50 , then got 2 nights in hotel for £60 make of that what you will
B. G.
Went today for lunch with 4 friends a nice atmospere! I had a small lovely veggie lunch & gravy! & a hot chocolate, both delicious!👍
c. b.
Staff very attentive and good helpings of food
A. D.
Top notch all you can eat breakfast.
Not sure what the deal was with the "hash brown" potatoes, but they were still acceptable. Everything else was top quality.
S. L.
Been here lots of times before and it's one of those places that's hit and miss with the food. Breakfast is probably the better then the carvery for me. Staff always friendly and helpful
M. K.
Been there for breakfast, really lovely pleace and nice food. Price is as well good
J. H.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Booking advisable. Relaxed management with seating arrangements. We will go again.
M. M.
The front of house Andrea was friendly funny worked hard and cudnt be more helpful.
The carvery server on duty was friendly talkative and pleasant.
Brilliant hard working friendly staff and the carvery was well worth the money.
N. P.
Lovely dinner with superb service. Thank you N
S. T.
Not go anywhere else, grandchildren love it and my daughter cant fault great food great staff good offers on highly recomend!!
A. D.
Friendly polite staff, hot fress food, loved it
J. H.
Very well organised. Tablea cleaned as soon as people vacate them. Good service even tho they were short staffed. Food was excellent quality. Will go again.
G. G.
Very good
Staff most welcoming and the gravy was thick and tasty - not weak as a vicar's handshake like in most carverys
S. A.
We were soon shown to our table, the waiter took our drinks orders and we went to the carvery, the meats on offer were really mouth watering and were given plenty, the choice of vegetables was endless and all hot. All the CV staff were very friendly and cheerful. All this in a very clean well cared for restaurant. Can really recommend.
R. h.
It's Toby Carvery it's always nice! The meat is always so juicy and tender I've never had a bad meal there. The roast potatoes that are cooked in bed dripping are to die for and the famous Toby Carvery gravy is outstanding. The desserts are fantastic to I had the honeycomb explosion wow it was massive.
L. M.
Popped in here to round off a week away in the Lake District, booked a table on the app on the way back home , bit different now as they get it all for you but still got plenty and all really tasty as usual. Only gripe was didn’t get much meat, just a small slice of gammon and a scraping of beef but still ok. Our server Andrea was very pleasant.
E. C.
Lovely food and the guy serving it is really friendly.. Took a while to get the bill but it was getting busy at the time so not too bad
M. D.
Great carvery as usual. The only place we use now. The food is always lovely, staff are helpful.
I. G.
Although different locations have different ways to deal with the current pandemic, I am always happy with the service and protection offered at all the sites I have visited. This site also meet the requirements. The one small fault we were served the last bits of the beef, while a new joint was on the carving platter. This is a comment not a complaint. I will be back to another Toby carvery soon.
L. P.
Nice and friendly staff Lovely meal
D. B.
Good quality carvery very reasonably priced. Strangely you can get your carvery without paying up-front; rather settling prior to leaving.
Staff were friendly and smart. Even for early evening on a Tuesday it was quite quiet with no problem getting seated and no queue at the servery. An attractive venue for a post work tea with colleagues or friends .
p. b.
Excellent carvery. Waitress wasn't clear if we pay the bill to her. So paid at the bar. Excellent all the same well recommended.
B. R.
Very prompt serve and extremely friendly staff. Carvery was well stocked, piping hot and cooked to perfection - good variety of meat- gammon, pork, turkey and beef all available and fresh to taste. Nice Doom Bar beer and good pub desserts available. Well priced and good for a meal out
N. D.
Staff were great, chef was hard work did seem to understand that a little one would not need a large plate, good choice
H. M.
Carvery and cooking team where lovely and helpful. However waiting staff didn't both to acknowledge the table. We where not told of how things worked or where to go for drinks. Ignored when trying to order pudding so we didn't bother. When paying are order had not been put through till 😒. I'd of expected better like other Toby's.
b. h.
Seen some stuck up pathetic family give this place a 1 star for their Xmas meal the sad acts that actually took their desert and cheese board home wow wow wow what a right bunch imagine having those for parents I bet those kids have a very awkward upbringing!
P. C.
Came for breakfast, wife had seen online that they serve Yorkshire pudding for breakfast.....which filled with scrambled egg is amazing (who'd have thought!!!)
Food was really well cooked and the serving deck was well stocked and clean. We got there just before the inevitable Sunday morning rush but didn't feel rushed or pressured by the staff to finish and leave like you get in some places.
The new management team has done a great job with improving the quality of service and food, well done!!!
J.
Did not like the new table service. Didn't get what I ordered. Did not like the lack of control of what went on my plate. Ordered what we wanted but didn't take any notice. More of what didn't want . Lack of gravy and no sauces at all. Had to request these and more gravy. Waitress was lovely working under difficult circumstances
M. P.
Great food friendly staff great service
L. M.
Food was excellent and well worth the visit
A. K.
Popped into pub on route home, back over the bridge. Team where fantastic, door host very polite and helpful. Was shown to our table and served by a young lass (can't remember her name she had brown hair in pigtails) We had a very mardy toddler with us who was a combination of hungry, tired and grumpy from a bump to the head. She was very attentive and made sure we was all ok and did her very best to help cheer up the world's grumpiest toddler. He did cheer up slightly after a plate of mash and gravy. The food was lovely and next time we wonder over the bridge we be sure to pop by. The pub was well presented and all the team looked friendly and happy to be there. The food was spot on and the gents serving up the carvery where very generous with their portions. Definitely recommend 😊
D. M.
Excellent carvery, helpful polite and friendly staff.
They went out of their way to accommodate us as we couldn't get a booking.
Would highly recommend to anyone.
Well done to them all.
P. D.
Happy to accommodate a lone trucker looking for a decent meal.
I. J.
We went to the Toby carvery for our breakfast before heading for a day out. We pre booked online, our table was confirmed by text. Due to the covid restrictions, it was busy but not full. I paid at the bar, then was taken to our table. The food was plated up by the chef, we could choose what we wanted, plenty of choice. Personally I couldn't fault the food it was spot on.Unlimited hot drinks included too. Paid just over £7 for the two of us. Will go again
H. K.
Felt like a pre- pandemic night out. Carvery was great and being able to serve yourself with veg and potatoes was so good
Will definitely be back soon!🙂
M. S.
Went today with my wife for a carvery highly recommended 👌 cleanliness perfect staff perfect carvery perfect price a bargain if you haven't been to Toby willerby definitely go you can't go wrong we have booked our Christmas Dinner there 😀
j. f.
Had a fabulous meal all staff were nice. The manageress was training a new person and it was embarrassing to watch /hear her.
J. W. A.
Can’t recommend highly enough for food and accommodation. The accommodation looks like it’s been refurbished recently and offers excellent value for money. Amazing staff, great banter, service and really make you feel welcome. Great to see in these challenging times. Thanks very much everyone at Toby Carvery, Willerby, Hull 👍
A. N.
Lots of choice on the meat and vegetables. Staff friendly. Covid safe.
N.
The food here is great. Sundays can be really busy so either try book in advance or be prepared to wait. Great choice from the carvery and always get plenty served onto your place. Really decent prices. Can sometimes struggle to get parked on a Sunday. Little bit out of the way so hard to get to if you don't drive. Service is good. Puddings are also lovely. Great choice of food if carvery isn't your thing.
G. G.
Very nice meal with good quality food and drink. Service all round was excellent. Definitely going again.
R. W.
Friendly service, top quality food with biggest portions and great price. Strongly recommend veggie toad in the hole or the sunday roast wrap where they use a Yorkshire pudding. Points to improve...they were fairly slow (probably due to covid) and other guests didnt respect 2 metres esp in queuing to get in
S. C.
My partner & I went on Thursday for the 1st time after the renovation, sadly the 1st thing we say was a dirty looking very scruffy front of house. She didn't even look at use while speaking to us!
The rest of the staff was great clean tidy & very polite & helpful.
The carvery was delicious.
Just a shame of our last impression!!
S. S.
The standard of food is as you would expect in a Toby Carvery. It's managed very well by the staff. Would recommend that you book a table on line to guarantee a table. Service was good, only fault was they lost our drink order and we had to ask again for our drinks. Will go again... thank you...
D. S.
Must be a different chef as well the breakfast was bad today mushrooms baked in oven no oil / butter just like a dry pencil rubber rest was mediocre at best .will say usually a good breakfast
r. k.
Just been to Toby's booked for six at six kept waiting for 25 minutes carvery was fine but ordered 2 child s meals very dissatisfied ordered chicken nuggets got5 no chips also pasta for the other no chips honestly not worth it 5pound for 5 nuggets weren't offered alternative to chips as stated on line could have gone to herons and received 10 for 2 pound parents beware
M. C.
Great breakfast, lovely staff. Clean tables at start and food was well cooked and plentiful
E. C.
Only last year (2018) this was a great place for carveries but it has gone downhill since then. We went on the 18th Sept this year and the meat that was cut was close to being used by a glazier if you get my meaning. The carrots are always hard and under cooked and some of the staff haven't a clue how to make mixed drinks. My wife left most of her lunch and her drink and the only reason I ate mine was that I was is I have a good appetite!
G. O.
Really disappointed with the sweet which was brought out in dirty bowls (underneath the bowls) has old stale food marks on. I informed the waitress who kindly took them all away and brought back new ones.. however mine was the same bowl reheated with same dirty food stains on, my friends was fresh food but dirty bowl again. I informed the waitress who said it must be the dishwasher.....what a shame. The carvery was nice but very messy....seems to have gone down hill as I've eaten there many times without complaint.
s. h.
Went to tobys for breakfast today with my sons, well worth anybodys money. You can go back if you can eat more, also get a refill on your drinks.
M. D.
Cheap and cheerful. Great staff, good carvery.
K. M. J.
Outstanding staff, service and food. Reasonable prices. Will be visiting again very soon.
J. C.
Usually have a good roast here but today it was a little below par.
Meat was good but many of the vegetables had run out & what was left was dried out.I must say though that this is very unusual.Liked the new decor!
Returned for another meal on 19.12.19,pleased to report the meal was back to its usual top quality.back up to 5*.
T.
After a disaterous visit here previously, I received a voucher for money off next meal. They redeemed themselves as staff were courteous, food was amazing and tasty. I had Mushroom and ale pie. The vegetables were cooked just right. I shall be visiting again.
B. N.
Don't get the king size plate, £1.99 for two tiny sausages and an extra Yorkshire, supposed to get extra meat but no! Will not visit again.
M. K.
Food was excellent & staff friendly
a. c.
Love it here. Although there is a certain bloke who serves in carvery who is super tight with the meat. I'm not a massive eater at all but even that is ridiculous. The other servers give a decent size portion though.
G. H.
Covid secure, well organised, great customer service & even though you don't help yourself you still get plenty of food for your money.
C. H.
Went today for a family dinner, lovely food and service ,great value for money we will definitely be coming back again 😁
J. M.
Great food but service was a little lacking
d. o.
The new covid service is safe but the food was just meh. Smallest portion of meat hidden under a mound of veg.
I know how I like my roast and this was not it. Not as good as it once was. Hope it improves
M. H.
Who doesnt like a Toby restaurant? Had a breakfast which cost us £14 for 2 and included drinks!! It was all you can eat which was served by the chef due to covid rules. Bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, toms, hash browns, Yorkshire pud (which surprised my husbamd but actually works with breakfast), toast and jam if required. Never disappoints, and its a good clean breakfast. Left feeling satisfied and didn't eat for the rest of the day. Will be back and would definitely recommend.
J. H.
The best thing about our evening was the excellent service delivered by Vivienne. Food as to be expected. Service phenomenal
T. B.
Amazing Christmas dinner. Well worth the money. Staff very helpful.Giving away toys and sweeties to the children a lovely added touch to Christmas day. I as so happy because as a adult I finally got my longed for applejack my little pony.
Special thanks to George our waiter for looking after us.
T. F.
Food and restraunt was very nice. Drinks prices where ok. Pudding was delicious. Only downfall was the spoons to get my food was too hot and the corn on cobs where to dry, probably from the heat of servery. Would deffo come back tho.
J. C.
Getting to be a regular stop over when we're rushed or I don't want to cook. I've even got the app now. There's super rewards, and great offers worth using. Straight forward food. Well cooked and tasty. The staff are getting used to us now. There's a lovely friendly welcome. Value for money makes this a good place to eat.
j. b.
Good staff, friendly place. Me and my wife usually go here every Saturday for a couple of drinks after shopping. Sky Sports for the football, and of course they do a spot on Carvery, very nice. Also looks great with the new refurbishment.
N. D.
My 2 boys like it here as they can choose what they want. However I find it can be hit and miss. Sometimes it is lovely, hot and well cooked while at other times it can be like warm and the vegetables can be hard. Could do with a bit of a makeover as looks a bit tired. While toilets are clean they look outdated. The staff though are lovely. Always happy and friendly and are great with my boys
M. G.
we were looked after really well hubby's 60th birthday food cooked really well and although you can't help yourself to food in carvery the guy who served us really listened and and gave us what we asked for .the seating has been rejigged in places and there was plenty of room staff really good and couldn't do enough to help I would recommend to anyone and a bonus was Sunday they have lamb on the carvery
F. G.
Great Sunday Roast everytime i visit. Staff always very polite and friendly. Have not had a single bad experience and have been a number of times.
Kids menus have colouring and puzzles for them to do while there along with some crayons in which to use
p. m.
Staff were lovely but had to physically get up and find them for the drinks, 3 times which arrived at the end of the meal . After ordering my main and expecting it to arrive with the other meals ordered was advised not available as the others were tucking in. Wanted dessert but waited an age and in the end just chased them, again, for the bill. Menus were dirty (covid? What covid??) and it was a shame as food and staff were nice.
B. H.
Had to come to Hull to collect a eBay purchase and decided to stay at The innkeepers lodge at Willerby.
Had a lovely lunch at the Toby Carvery and was well looked after by a lovely lady called Lesley, she was very jolly and very helpful and we would recommend a stay here if you are looking for a good pub & restaurant in the hull area
J. H.
It's a good carvery overall specially for the price of under a tenner. There's s good selection of veg and the usual 3 meats. It's a large building so plenty of seating. It also serves the ususl pub grub too. For the area it's in you can't go wrong.
B. S.
We have been going to tobys carvery for over 3 years. I personally loved this place the staff are great and it's a great atmosphere HOWEVER my past 2 visits have been terrible , the beef is very very chewy to the point where it is inedible. the only reason my review is not 1 star is because the staff went and got me a lovely plate of Turkey. I really do hope they change to the original beef as I do love it there
P. H.
Really good cheap and wholesome food, but for me the ale (Yorkshire Terrier) deserves five stars, an excellent pint. Very good staff who are polite and attentive. Made my business trip even more pleasant. I just wish parents would consider other diners by keeping their children from running around the pub. But, that's another story.
a. m. t.
It was a very good meal🥰
h. s.
The staff are amazing couldn't do enough for us. Food was really good
S. G.
All covid measures adhered to, good food, carvery selected by us & then brought to our table. Lovely staff.
p. t.
Stopped here for breakfast one Sunday morning. The breakfast it's self is all you can eat buffet style. The food it's self is nice enough and the endless coffee goes down a treat. Staff here were very friendly as there was a largest party of us eating. Would go again.
P. C.
Great service on breakfast Lesley and judy
T. P.
Absolutely Stunning, delicious food, warming atmosphere and delightful staff members
M. S.
You can get a fantastic carvery meal here for only £6.99. Choice if 4 meats and as much help yourself veg and potatoes as you like. Best to book a table as ir gets busy across teatime and early evening.
j. b.
Could not log in 🙁. Food was very good. Staff friendly and helpful.
J. S.
The food is average, the roast potatoes are nice and the staff are always polite, but the whole place could do with a major refurbish, as the chairs are sticky and worn, the window frames are going black and need painting and the toilets smell. All this place needs to get five stars is a good clean and a refit.
n. c.
Well where do I start? From walking in we were greeted with big smiles and a very welcoming atmosphere. We are a large family so some places are not so welcoming due to having 6 children ranging from 17 months to 11 years. Not at Toby Carvery. The staff were amazing. The floor manager and our waitress couldn’t do enough to help, they even made it extra special for one of our tribe as it was his birthday. We will definitely be back. Thank you and well done for such well trained and passionate staff.
J. W.
Food is nice especially the Yorkshire puddings everything great but defo need more veg options always seems to be carrot peas and cauliflower wish they did Swede and sprouts also stuffing is really dried up needs a bit of water adding now and again overall though is a nice meal.
J. E.
The food was delicious, the chef even brought out fresh meat for us which considering there was only 30 minutes of service time left was pretty awesome, but the icing on the cake was the epic drinks machine featuring six different fizzy pops each with their different flavours in a submenu, I stuck with strawberry and lime Pepsi Max. Overall a brilliant experience. 5/5
S. L.
Didn't book but they managed to get us a table.Food was great and plenty of it. Enjoyed.
s. m.
Staff was amazing but sadly had to send some food back but carvery was beautiful and very tasty
J. S.
Amazing food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place
j. k.
Went to see how it was after the refurb. It's ok but I was surprised that the actual carvery servery area had not changed or got bigger. Also the Alton towers queuing ropes mean if you are in the booth next to the entrance to this you are trying to eat with people constantly next to you or passing you. The waiting system was not great although may improve after the busy period. Hardly any space at the bar though to wait. A couple of big tables with either a couple of people sat with drinks waiting for their table, or 6 people sat eating surrounded by others waiting to eat so not very comfortable or personal. Just needs thinking about a bit.
a. b.
Cant get my head around the good reviews.I've never been to a carvery before (and will never visit another) The restaurant was unbearably hot, it cost you nearly £8 to stand in a queue, like school dinners, to get a couple of slices of over cooked meat that has spent most of the day under the heat lamps. Ok you can have as much veg as you want but who really wants 4lb of mash and 16 Yorkshire puddings. Straight opposite is a McDonalds with air con and table service. Sorry Toby it's a thumbs down from me.
J. D.
Went with family of six including one child, a vegetarian and a vegan. The food served was really nice, the staff are very friendly and our waitress - Leanne - was fantastic! All round a very pleasant outing with excellent food that suited everyone's requirements. Will definitely go back again. P.S. can I have the recipe for the Butternut Squash Compote :D
A. T.
Food as good as can be, need more choice on the veg side tho. No aircon unless u are sat at the back, and the table service isn't quite what you would expect. You have to guess your way through the process and guess that u just grab a carvery. App idea is good, however make sure the bill is right before progressing with payment.
S. M.
Great place to enjoy warm hospitality and delicious food. And the Inn keepers Lodge is a place for comfortable stay.
P. R.
Great food. Great staff. Only downside was Flies landing on food all the time
R. A.
This lively place has just had a makeover.
We went for Sunday lunch, and went for their famous Carvery.
The place was packed, so better to reserve, if you can.
Food and the service was excellent, and was fair priced.
Enough facilities for disabled, very clean
S. T.
Classic carvery veg dinner. Hearty, quality ingredients. Plus take out option for him at home.
I. P.
Poor service - not like use to be, went 30th dec, wasn't told set menu, when we arrived told set and same price for all including children! given children's plates! even though told would be paying adult price! then at end was told afterwards they had kids carvery so they had a 3 course so could have had starter, main and sweet, paid full and didn't even get all kids courses! i didnt feel well or my daughter so both left our meat i asked it to be bagged for our dog! they threw it out! made me feel aweful for asking for it in the 1st place! left us for ages with plates, the place was dead and service was rubbish apart from bar staff.
Had another bad experience few months before!
use to love it as a nice family get together but really hesitant about going again.
G. H.
Quick service, excellent value for money. And very tasty and properly cooked food. Lovely carvery, and big portions... You Will be very satisfied if you have an above average appetite. I'll be going again this weekend!
O. C.
Visited today 29/01/2017. Firstly I must say what Fantastic Managers are there now they are an absolute credit to the business as are all the staff. Very friendly welcoming team. Food is great & the cleanliness of the establishment is very very good. Great range of food & the price is extremely good value for money. All I can say is keep up the great work. I would Strongly recommend visiting here.
L. A.
Can't fault Toby! The food is always cooked perfectly. Plenty of tables and drink choices. Car park could be bigger as it gets so busy, you sometimes struggle for a parking space. Love coming for a Toby carvery and a breakfast
f. j.
Decent carvery meal with friendly helpful service and recently facelifted too. Past experiences suggest eating early provides a more relaxed and pleasant experience. Can get busy with the hustle and bustle of young families at peak times.
R. R. D.
It used to be amazing but staff were rude and dismissive, my meal was fabulous so 3 stars but my friends meal was 20 mins after mine, plus tasted bad, cooked weird, and when complained about, staff member just shrugged and said "eat it, I've had it before its nice" friend couldnt and in fact didnt eat the rest of her meal either due to her stomach turning (I have to admit it did smell funky) and on bill payment she asked to speak to a manager, was told they were busy and to pay bill, she refused to pay for the uneaten food but would pay for her coffee she drank, the staff member was rude again and made out she just didnt want to pay at all, so friend paid for coffee and left upset. She refuses to go back now. Myself, I had the veggie carvery option and it was beautiful.
L. C.
We were really excited to be going for an all you can eat breakfast but I found it a bit of a let down. There were no plum tomatoes left, the fried eggs were small and swimming in grease and the bacon was all stuck together and piled up high in a dish. Don't get me wrong, it was ok for the price. Probably won't go back though.
E. A.
Visited today for the first time in ages. The chef needs to go on a customer care course. We thought he was awful ages ago and his attitude still hasnt changed. The meat was awful today I had beef and pork. The beef was very fatty and asked if it could be removed he said there was nothing he could do about it so I exchanged it for turkey. This was not cooked despite the staff telling me it was that they had strict stringent policies and it wouldn't be served otherwise. It was NOT cooked. The manager offered to replace it with more pork and he threw in four sausages as a good will gesture. The fact I already declined them at the counter was a joke. Paid over £40.00 for an OK meal.
A. B.
Good pub grub, plenty of veg & a choice of four meats! Great puddings especially the giant slices of carrot cake! A good selection of beers, wines & spirits. I personally recommend the doom bar! Lovely friendly staff & relaxed atmosphere.
d. c.
We are regular carvery visitors, sadly today not up to the usual standard we have come to expect, the Yorkshires should not have been served should have been put in the bin, mashed potatoes tasted of nothing and delays for new joints of meat, visited at 1pm not overly busy as no wait for a table and was not offered a drink until we had almost finished our meal. Hopefully a one off
K. F.
Came on Christmas Eve, booked table for 9. Once seated the service was rather slow despite hardly anyone in. After 30 minutes we had to go and find member of staff to take our starter order! Soup was luke warm, the cheese soufle had doorstop bread instead of 'crispy toast' and the prawn and lobster cocktail was a few cheap prawns with a sprinkle of lobster. The carvery was lovely though, really tasty. Sweets were really nice and good size portions.
L. W.
Amazing carvery. Waited so long to be able to pick my own food and it was amazing quality.
K. L.
We always love it here! All you can eat vegetables. Very reasonable prices Mon-Sat but Sunday and BH Mondays is expensive for the exact same food. Food really is delicious, with lots of options for the veggies. Vegetarian option is so huge I can't even eat it all! Veggie option is same price as meat which is brilliant. Or you can just opt for meat free plate where you eat tons and pay even less money! Bargain!
d. c.
Really great value for money.....food was fab
J.
The all you can eat breakfast buffet was out of this world. The food was piping hot, the venue was clean thoughout with nice decor and the staff were extremely helpful. The Yorkshire puddings were delicious, the best yorkies I have ever had!
I can't wait for my next visit here!
K.
Great carvery and breakfast buffet.
D. D.
We often come here for breakfast, it’s very well priced for as much as you can eat. The food is above average but not five star, however for what you pay and the amount you can eat well worth a try.
Toby Carvery has three decades of satisfied, self-service customers behind them, and they are a part of a heritage that goes back even further. Our parent company, Mitchells & Butlers can trace their history right back to 1898.
C. P.
Fantastic food and service today. Garlic mash was beautiful and the horseradish gravy made the meal perfect. For the first time ever the 2 chefs where chatty and smiley, something I've never experienced in a Toby!!!
I. C.
Popped in for a breakfast one Saturday morning before a wedding. Definitely recommend, it was a help yourself buffet style. Loads to choose from and regularly topped up. Friendly helpful staff.
L. W.
Typical Toby £9.99 for Sunday dinner which was fine nice veg but beef fatty. Kids portions of spaghetti was poor very small and raw carrots and cucumber as side not what I would have with spaghetti Bol where was the garlic bread! Would call again if passing and hungry.
J. T.
Great food, fantastic staff, give them all a pay rise, they deserve it!
S. S.
Lovely food, always enjoyable. very busy and because of this we were left in no doubt to quickly leave when finished eating. Would have liked to have sat a while but to be fair when others waiting to eat I can understand it.
J. B.
Lovley place very warm and welcoming, food the best I have had a carvery so good.
R. B.
£5 for all you can eat breakfast and it was lovely. Bargain
G. C.
Lovely food at reasonable prices
G. H.
Table service for drinks can take a while, even when it's not that busy. I'd probably avoid it at peak times if possible - it can be pretty hectic.
Food quality is generally good, although some of the veg and the yorkshire puds can suffer under the strong lights & heat.
C. W.
Very organised in current covid situation. Food was amazing. Even though they put everything on your plate for you, the portions are huge. Didnt need yo ask them to put more on. Really positive ..... highly recommended A* Toby @ Willerby:)
A. y. g. t. m.
As a frog I really enjoyed the flies on all the food it was like getting extra meal for free
J. S.
Great taste great choice great value great service!
P. E.
Before it was really rubbish. Since it's had a revamp it is so lovely.
Just the customer service wasn't great and we booked a table and still had to wait half an hour as they were just sitting walk in's down first which was really annoying. But apart from that it's great :) and the carvery is lush
K. L.
Great Sunday carvery often take my son for lunch when taking him back to uni. Friendly service & great meals. Portion sizes ++ can be busy so need to book. Car parking on site.
J. S.
First time since it's been refurbished. Must say, food has improved alot! Staff were very knowledgable, having a nut allergy it made me feel at ease. Thanks! Will be returning
J. I. (.
I had the carvery. The beef wasn't very nice and the yorkshire puds were rock hard, but gammon was great. The staff were really nice, polite and welcoming :)
S. W.
Without doubt the best carvery in Hull, I rang to see if I needed to book first the manager asked when for so I asked for 17:15 Sunday, I thought no chance. But got a table for three straight in job done got there it was packed, told them I had a table your 5mins early if you get some drinks it should be ready and it was. I went extra large because I'm kinda greedy sometimes, the Mrs was normal I had lamb she had turkey proper yorkies and the meat for me was perfect. The lad had chicken nuggets and sweet corn. The people in front of me had what I thought was the last of the lamb but another juicy leg came out and I got lots I asked if I could have the darker caramelised parts he smiled at me and I know what you mean matie I piled the veg on like they're going out of fashion this irl next took a second glance as I walked past I thought yep I'm a lardie but why not.
C. L.
Can't beat a good Toby. Always nice and staff here super friendly.
J. O.
Great pub, recently refurbished for a modernised feel but in keeping with the traditional history and decor.
Toby jug theme is prominent.
Comfortable seats by the window.
I prefer the sofa seating over the chairs, so I can stretch out.
More importantly: food!
Home of the Great British Roast.
Always a treat. Usually 4 meats on offer but on this occasional I missed the Turkey, as it had all gone - an impressive feat for a bird that size!
I generally go for a bit of everything on meats and I did again. Very healthy Yorkshire puds. Mac and cheese is a newish addition. Don't go King size anymore as you can get so much on your plate 🍽️ on the normal. I load up! Mashed potato, roast potato, carrots, cauliflower, peas, green beans in pods etc. Seasonal veggies. You can go back for more of this.
Gravy, mint, apple and cranbury sauce.
Tend not to bother with outings or starters.
We do lunch then set up for the day, as we waddle out.
Get the app to get special offers, including on this occasional a birthday offer for Dad's 61st.
A. M.
Been coming here for years, however it is more busy this last year, he I guess this is due to the choice of food and good value. I suggest booking ahead for Sunday lunches.
One bad move is that they have changed the cut of beef, and and it is almost inedible I have asked about this and apparently they changed it in all of the chain.
So do avoid the beef. Other than that it is ok.
C. A.
Are you giving free vouchers on line for 2meals and drinks. Lots people had messages. Think it's a scam can you confirm. Regards Carolyn
S. D.
The carvery is the best around but the breakfast is a whole other level! All you can ear breakfast buffet, the breakfast Yorkshire puddings are lovely buy you must try the cheesy bacon hash 😍 it's amazing! Plus unlimited tea and coffee! Het yourself there.
P. A.
Compared to our previous visit (which was excellent) this was disappointing. Whether the time of day makes a difference who knows. This was 4.30pm before 7.30pm although that should not effect quality. The beef was mainly fatty, veg. luke warm and looked as though they had been there awhile. Edible but not great.
M. H.
Spot on breakfast, good price, nice people. Went there after trying McDonalds which had the exterior tables closed and was full with four people in the restaurant. Much better food, service and value than maccy dees
B. R.
We like it there reasonably priced was a little bit quiet because of the weather everyone must have gone to the seaside for that reason with it been a little slower the veggies were not as hot as normal but still very tasty hence dropped a star but we will be back again
S. W.
Lovely food the carvery chef served all the food due to covid restrictions but he gave whatever you wanted and the amount you asked for will definitely eat here again
H. M.
Came here for breakfast, the staff were lovely and friendly. The place itself is really cute with a lovely atmosphere first thing in a morning. Food was great, would go again.
C. C.
Food was very nice and hot
T. E.
Car park needs to be bigger. When you are parked up food & place is lovely but less meat than you used to get. Nearly £10 on Sundays so bit pricey when not much meat.
A. U.
Pleasant and charming staff. Meal very tasty - flies buzzing around and urine all over the gents toilets floor - unflushed human excrement in the toilets. Whole place needs redecorating. Chairs sticky, sealant around the windows has gone all black and mouldy and I had to eat my meal while watching several spiders scurrying across the dusty windowsill. The windows are thin wood and are in desperate need of replacing as the paint is peeling off.
Overall: lovely food and staff, but in dire need of a clean and refurbish.
L. S.
We had the Yorkshire pudding wraps and then were amazing! Very large and you could easily eat half and take half home. Would highly recommend it!
c.
They did a really good job of making the carvery as safe an experience as they could. Great portion of tasty food, and friendly staff.
R. H.
Nice carvery, 20% off with blue light card or defence discount service
K. D.
I’ve just had a lovely tasty vegan meal here today the staff were so friendly and offered to get me vegetables from the kitchen as there wasn’t much choice on the carvary & it’s very dog friendly too with nice outdoor seating area. Very friendly staff tasty affordable food x
L. C.
The meat on the carvery was fresh but the vegetables looked a bit ...well .. just thrown in the dishes and not very invitingly presented ...it was a Saturday evening they weren't too busy the service area could have done with a wipe down....the staff where attentive . Just not a good as usual..but not put off calling in again
A. B.
Out of The Toby Carverys this place sells delicious food ! Best one yet, after carveries in Bradford ,Keighley this on was spot on ,staff great !
p. l.
Nice relaxing meal for my mum's birthday 20 of us in party unfortunately when we went to get carvery the chef was busy carving meat & No one able to refresh vegetables. Also crackling was too hard several of us unable to eat it
K. J.
went with my wife and daughter. lovely food and pub
M. C.
What a fab experience second time there the food was beautiful nice and friendly staff lovely lady called mel came over to see if we were all ok couldn't of helped us enough lovely and so friendly made us feel very welcome would highly reccomend 😊😊
K. D.
Visited many times, usually have a bit of a wait for a table on sundays if we dont prebook which is to be expected. We are a family who dont eat meat but there are a few vegetarian and vegan options (suprisingly) and the staff have always been helpful.
