R. K.We had a lovely coffee and absolutely amazing hot dark chocolate with chilli kick. Icecream from machine also very tasty and original brownie just to die for. We visited this place just before closing on Saturday, 7pm but staff were nice and kind. Simply and rather basic interior with access to electric sockets.

B.Always enjoyed it here. The staff are always very helpful and polite both in the cafe and restaurant areas. The prices are higher than most places but that is expected of this company anyway and the quality of the chocolates and drinks is definitely worth the mark-up!

The staff look like they love working there, they are so friendly and happy. It is clean and easy to find whtt you are looking for. We visited the cafe there too, very nice.

S. D.Food OK but very expensive for what it is. Service very slow, it is clearly understaffed with only 2 waiting staff for the entire restaurant. Where I was sat there was a horrid bright white led light shining in my face. They eventually moved us when I asked and it quietened down a bit. Gave it a try and wouldn't go here again.
P. S.We had milky hot chocolate, salted caramel hot chocolate and a cold milkshake - all were scrumptious. We had a free chocolate whip which was decadent and had a mousse-like texture. We sat inside the lovely decorated restaurant with a relaxed but buzzing ambience. We will definitely visit again. The staff work very hard in helping customers.

Staff were fairly attentive but the service was slow and rather lacklustre, with one member not knowing the menu from which I was ordering drinks and then making more than one mistake with our order. Drinks were OK, but not worth the price really. Tables hadn't been cleared and it seemed like there were not enough staff to actually run the show. Possibly would return, but wouldn't order unless these little bits were fixed.

G.A regular haunt for a cheeky afternoon hot chocolate (although recently realised that a regular is plenty, and the chocolate whip is often a step too far...!, and recently visited the restaurant for the first time, which was truly amazing. The work that's gone into the menu is huge - it would be so easy for the chocolate theme to be a gimmick, but instead, every plate of food is absolutely perfect in its own right. Highly highly recommended on all fronts.

It could be better been table service, but been fairly fast at the counter almost makes up for it. Cozy atmosphere, i had a large and although was midafternoon felt very sleepy afterwards! Would recommend a smaller cup!

Beware that if you accept the cream topping for your hot chocolate, it will arrive with a mound of what's essentially (very good) mousse.

P.The nearest hotel chocolat cafe to Bolton was the Leeds one, so we chose to drive there, was it worth it, absolutely, the range of drinks is made to a quality, and so not cheap, but for a chocaholic, it is nirvana, hard to decide which drink to have, and then there is the range of chocolates, which are expensive but wonderful, and various seasonal specials, valentines, Easter, and mothers day, everything is to a high standard, just a shame that I live in Bolton!
J. R.Nice coffee. Had just got our drinks sat down and everyone was offered a paper cup to put drinks in, due to a leaking pipe in ceiling.
M.The coffee was good, but the service from one particular member of staff was even better. After not being able to find the order I wanted, the lady came up to me whilst I was sat down drinking another type of tea.
Her colleague and her had found the one I wasn't able to buy in the back room, and she apologised, and gave it to me for free.
Good follow up and care for customers, and I appreciate the thought!

Staff in the shop were incredibly friendly and helpful so much so we visited and made purchases two days running! E. H.Went in on my lunch break to buy some chocolate and got a nice taster and found what I wanted pretty quickly, but then had to queue for 10 mins to get served which was sloooow! Only 2 tills, plus it's in the middle of the shop, so people have to squeeze past as your waiting and they're trying to browse. A little more thought on layout and a bit more urgency from the staff to get through the queue and I'd give it 5 stars...
