Good selection of meals. Not keen on spices myself but staff were happy to make adjustments. Friends were very impressed with meals from the menu. Drinks were well worth the price. Had a few share drinks between us which were all great. Only down point was the service charge auto added to the bill. But I never like that anywhere.

It was busy when we came in but they fit us in without a booking so that was great. Was told to pay through the app which was fine and food arrived pretty quickly. Visited with my family for my 21st birthday. Such a great variety on the menu and everyone in our party found something that they really enjoyed. A fairly decent price and a fantastic offer on the cocktails as well as student discount. Jay was a fantastic server and we all thought he was extremely friendly and kind.

Brilliant tasty food and 2 for 1 cocktails. Very busy! Can't get in without prior reservation. Delayed service though. Had to wait over half an hour for each order to come through. Waiters rushed off their feet and rushed through taking orders, getting it wrong. Wanted to give 3 stars but gave 4 because of food quality.

First time at this place. Very spacious premises and a good vibe. Music was loud but was close to a speaker, that said you could still have a conversation. Service was excellent and they even split out shared starters into separate dishes as my wife is vegitarian. Laura our waitress was excellent, even though it got busy she never changed attitude. Food was amazing and full of taste and plenty of it, everything was spot on. Defo will be going back again!

Never been before was impressed with the selection of food on offer was really nice. We were kept waiting some time between starter and main they were really busy. We were treated to a free bottle of prosecco for our trouble so win all round. Would definitely recommend.

Great experience here today, the Manager and the team were very friendly and welcoming. The food was beautiful, definitely recommend the Cuban Sandwich! 😋 2for1 on all cocktails, which were made perfectly by Charlie behind the bar. Overall a fantastic experience. Fab time at a lovely venue. Buzzing atmosphere and great food. Cocktails were gorgeous and staff were friendly. Look out for the service charge though as it's added onto the bill automatically so you have to ask for it to be taken off if youre not tipping or want to choose how much to tip which is awkward.

Hadn't been to a Las Iguanas for several years, but went for a work party recently - reminded me why I used to love it: delicious food, laid back atmosphere. They had a bit of trouble with our order, but we were a very large group (over 40) and they gave us free drinks to apologise so I will give them some slack for this and leave all five stars.

Yes it was 2 for 1 but would have expected full glasses with more flavour. I've always loved this place. The food is delicious from the xim xim to the burritos and chilli con carne. And the desserts are a real treat too. Everything so tasty. The portions are plentiful and the atmosphere is great. Awesome to see louis there now too as he has a very pleasant demeanour, is quick witted and very professional in his dealing with people.

Managers in front desk incredibly welcoming and accommodating, we hadn't booked. Food fantastic, fresh and really tasty, couldn't fault it. Sadly however the service from waiting staff was some of the worst I have ever experienced! After eventually getting a waiter's attention, (he was stood at the till, staring intently for over 10 minutes) he came and took our order- it might haven been easier for him to get it correct had he not been staring at himself in the mirrors to our right. Food arrived promptly, starters were great. We had to ask for our starters to be cleared then the mains arrived, all but one...... The mirror obsessed waiter had failed to put the order through to the kitchen. In fairness it arrived within 10 minutes of the others. We asked for some water for the table, 3 times, when it arrived 4 glasses were only provided after asking for them 3 times, unfortunately only 4 glasses were provided, there were 5 of us at the table. Had the waitress waited for us to finish our sentence before walking away on two occasions it may have been easier to see there were 5 of us. After 20 minutes of finishing our meal we had to ask for someone to clear our plates and to request desserts, one waiter responded took two plates, left, and served drinks to another table never to return. We caught the attention of the manager who apologised, cleared our plates and took our dessert order. Again food was very good, frustratingly we waited and waited and eventually went to the front desk to pay our bill so we could leave. It was a, Saturday night and it was busy, however, there were a good number of waiting staff that should have been able to manage the customer that were present, there were no table checks, offers of drink replacements, we were essentially ignored. Las Iguanas, you have great food, but Please train your waiting staff as they are letting you down. Not sure if it is because they haven't been trained, simply don't care or think they are above what their job is. We work in hospitality, very disappointing that one facet let it down so badly. Food fantastic, fresh, good portions and tasty, reasonably priced and manager running around picking up the slack and apologising. Team work is the key!

First visit to this venue and probably the last too. The food couldn't be complained about and was good however the service was incredibly slow (although the manager did apologise and was unprompted when he did so which was appreciated). There are a number of supply issues currently as he explained too. Many items on the menu were unavailable when we tried to order, drinks also had limited availability and this restriction also fed down to the choice of condiments available too! We appreciate covid has had an impact on the restaurants supply chain (as he also explained) however it would be a good point to possibly post on their website that the menu is currently restricted and drinks availability is the same too to avoid disappointing future visiting clientèle.

Food was good, service was disappointing. I took in a cake for my son's birthday. When I asked for it to be brought out our server then spent the next 30mins serving another table before clearing ours and then another 10minutes looking for the cake, only to come back and say that she didn't know where it was. Half of our table needed to leave, including my son, who's birthday it was. This was very disappointing as it was the first time our family had all been together since lockdown.

We had a meal here last night as a party of 4. The measures that were put in place made us feel safe. There was a really nice atmosphere, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. I've been here twice so far and the one thing I love about this place is they cater to so many different dietary requirements. They have halal meat and their gluten free menu is extensive. They have such a variety of food and I haven't been disappointed so far. The food names can be quite confusing as you're never sure quite what it is you're ordering but this hasn't had an impact on my experience.

Not sure if I was profiled but when other couples walked in they were given better chairs and seating arrangements since the table we were given was too small for every dish we had we had to give the dish back as soon as it was finished. Nothing here is terrible but it won't completely blow you away either. Food selection is interesting but you can tell it's massively pre prepared. The drinks promotion on the cocktails is a bit of a con, they charge double the typical price for a cocktail and then make them bogof, what is the point? If you're craving a Latin American style chain, then this is the place. However, it's just a chain restaurant..

Yes, it's a chain, and because of that I have always felt Las Iguanas is a bit naff ... but I can't help but love every one I have been to. I just love their sizzling fajitas! If you like food with a little spice, it's a good place to go. It's a nice, clean venue and the service is always very attentive. They do deals on cocktails, often 2-4-1s, but they're never super cheap. Kind of like the subdued lighting, makes the place more atmospheric.

Always find the food at Las Iguanas is very consistent and tastes great. Also love the ambience of the restaurant. My only drawback to the restaurant is that drinks and food can take a while, as well as trying to obtain the attention of staff, so we often ask for things very early on to avoid the wait, which is sometimes less convenient but works. Should the attentiveness of staff be improved then this would definitely be a 5 star without a doubt.

Arriving late in Leicester to visit the Theatre, we rang to cancel our meal as we had no idea how to reach the restaurant. No problem - the manager gave ha directions and came over half way to meet us. He then fast tracked our order so we weren't late for the musical"Tom Jones". What service matched by gorgeous food. I'll revisit any time I can. A real treat to feel a welcome customer.

Generally visit for 2-4-1 cocktails which are great! There are a few booths near the bar which aren't pre-bookable so we sit there and order cocktails at the bar which they bring to the table. Always a lively vibe and good service so perfect for the beginning of your night out.

This is a fantastic city centre restaurant serving a wide range of Latin American dishes. The service was superb: fast, friendly, even I left a tip! The main menu is a little pricey, but I took advantage of the fact that prior to 6:30 pm you can still order from the lower priced daytime menu.

We had our NYE dinner here, a group of 12 adults and 2 kids. We had pre-ordered our meals. We were swiftly served drinks, great 2 for 1 offers on all cocktails of which there was a good selection. Food was also served quick; starters were great ( I had the Gambas, loved the delicious lemony/tingy sauce!). For Mains I had the Moqueica de Peixe ( a Brazilian Fish curry in coconut sauce with rice) it was quite good, a little blend though. The portions were so very generous, we all hardly finished our mains! And the prices are human! Staff were really friendly! Great place for a night out with friends.

5 is for perfection, and I reserve it for the best of the best. Having said that, I was served quickly, and did not have to wait a really long time for my food to arrive. They had a 2 for 1 offer on cocktails, I love piña colada so I had that. There is only one issue with the offer: although it is 2 for 1, you are only allowed to get 2 of the same drink, for this reason the place loses 1 star out of 4. I dined with a friend, and cannot comment on the taste of his food, but it looked good. I ordered the Chilli Con Carne and the hot butter, it was very savoury and enjoyable. I had to ask for water because it was hot (as in spicy) as I requested it that way. Well done! I recommend the Xinxim dish, made with chicken and crayfish I believe. We were sat by the front window. I made a reservation requesting this but the host didn't read my request, luckily one of the tables by the window was empty so we sat there. I had a good time. This was my second time at this branch. I find that Las Iguanas is usually pretty good wherever you go. The quality is consistent. Servers were polite and friendly and made us feel welcome. Mike the host was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this place for a nice meal with cocktails. They have happy hour until 7PM but it's their 25th birthday this year so I believe that this offer has been extended to the entire day! Fabulous.

I am a massive foodie but I'm also big on customer service. The food is spot on every time. The service however is so slow... every time we are waiting for drinks... for food... once I got my food before my drink order had even been made. The staff are not attentive in the slightest... I literally had to shout or wave like a fool to get staffs attention. Food is great but staff ruined it for me.

It's okay, there are not any good Mexican restaurants in Leicester city centre, so if you fancy Mexican food then this is your place. Quite expensive like all big chains
