A real gem of an independent café in Leicester, a true delight. Beautifully fresh food (savoury and sweet), the most gorgeous cakes and bakes. And to top it all off, a proper barista coffee. Well worth the money and a visit, highly recommended!!

We went to Madison's today with our 2 young kids. The desserts were amazingly good. Freshly made and the choices were great between us we had waffles brownie cakes and hot chocolate. What made it really great was the member of staff - he was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back.

The decor and setting of this coffee/ dessert place is very nice. You can come here and spend time with family/ friends whilst having coffee, desserts, cakes or savouries. I think their waffles are overpriced. They're nice but I think you pay a lot for the small portion. Their coffee is brilliant and I would come back here just to have coffee. Their cheesecake selection and portion is good and reasonably priced. They accept card payments. They have ample seating too. It's definitely worth a visit if you haven't already been.

When they had the Jaffa Cake Ice Cream I was in heaven. Years after I have moved away from Leicester I often compare other desserts to Madison's and unfortunately, few come close in comparison.

Nice comfortable place with a lot of space, good for small or large groups, decent variety of drinks (hot/cold), and the same for desserts, pricing is standard and comparable with other parlours. Main issue is parking is not always available locally and also the service isn't as adequate as i would have liked, we asked for a jug of water and an extra spoon and they were not very busy, items requested did not arrive at all.

The seating and ambience is amazing, the seats are so comfortable and there's a range of places to sit. The ice creams are so creamy and smooth. The waffles are okay. The hot chocolate was so smooth and and sweet. The sundaes are good. I would recommend this to families and friends as the atmosphere is friendly.

Strawberry Sundae - one of the best around and I only review the best out there . This spot in Leicester ensured the best quality strawberry cheesecake was mixed with ice cream in this bad boy sundae. I loved every bit of it , I am more of a fan of chocolate but this strawberry sundae was something else . Absolutely delicious and divine !

Madisons Gelateria This place is located on London road, one of the main places to visit if you're around here. After a successful meal, there was only space in my heart/stomach for some good dessert. I opened up google, asked what dessert places were open so late at night and this was the closest link that appeared. A few minutes of stalking their Instagram later, I knew this was worth a try. The place is huge, I counted at least 3 floors. 3 floors for a dessert place! Madness. There is plenty of seating and the decor is amazing with lovely quotes/facts on the walls to keep you busy until the dessert arrives. The menu had an extensive range of desserts but here are the ones that were chosen. Molten chocolate volcano: A scrumptious chocolate volcano cake with an eruption of chocolate sauce served with a scoop of Madagascan vanilla gelato. Caramel pud: A warm moist pudding, smothered with rich sticky toffee sauce. Served with Madagascan vanilla ice cream. Caramel brownie cheesecake: no need for a description, I didn't like it. The ice cream was disappointing, frozen but overall wasn't too bad. Warm volcano and caramel pud was perfect after walking in the cold for 2 miles to find this place. Reasonably priced in a warm relaxing atmosphere. Worth a visit if close by but don't make too much of an effort to get here because there are better places elsewhere.

I came on the back of a recommendation specifically to try out the lemon sorbet gelato. I was not disappointed. It is delightful. Rather sweet if I may add, but I certainly felt refreshed. Highly recommended if you are not up for a full on dessert, but want something sweet. The kids loved the "full works" hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream and have been re-creating it at home.

A very nice place to be in, suitable for everyone and all types of hangouts. They serve different types of food, desserts and hot/cold drinks. They have a very good place in the downstairs area for studying and working, they also have a cozy reading zone. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Totally recommended

Their desserts do taste really good. Went with friends so even more enjoyable and they all loved it. Cookie dough could have been a little more thicker though because it was about £5-something with a very very thin layer and I could have gotten one that was a lot thicker for £3-something from one of my local dessert shops. Other than that an enjoyable experience and would recommend.

Madison's have a nice selection of desserts (albeit a few are relatively pricey for the size you're actually getting). The physical menu's need CHANGING because they are filthy and falling apart. They are sticky and this is just so unhygenic. You are serving food, and yet you have dirty menus. Do you want customers to fall ill? We placed an order at the counter with a rather introverted waiter who took an excessively long time to bring over two milkshakes. I couldn't even hear what he was saying. At least try to be enthusiastic towards your customers. The milkshakes however were lovely. Nice music, good ambience. Decor was rustic which compliments the establishment really well. Please update your physical menus.

Really good coffee here. The gelato (made in house) and the cakes all looked lovely, but I just wanted a coffee and muffin to go. The cappuccino was perfect, and the muffin was delicious.

The decors very nice, they offer a wide range of desserts. Was very disappointed with the staff knowledge, as one of our party had a gluten intolerance. The unfortunately didn't know what a gluten intolerance was and couldn't tell us what the ingredients were in the desserts. There was a sign up stating if you had any intolerances to tell them - it's a bit pointless if the staff are unaware of them. Otherwise the desserts were ok.

Great cafe with good options to choose from. Well presented desserts and a nice space to enjoy some time with friends and family. The service can be a bit slow to start off and you have to order at the till before you take your table. They will then bring your order to your table. There are no waiters though so you need to go back to the till I'd you want anything else.

I would have given it 5 stars but the staff are quite miserable. I've recently found this place and visit quite often on my own for a few hours of peace and work. On your average weekday, the downstairs section is normally empty which is perfect to get on with work. Everything I have ate or drank there has been really tasty! The pizza is great, desserts are great and drinks too! However, all but one of the staff I have come across are not very welcoming at all. The male who works there doesn't seem to have any people skills since he never responds when I greet him or smile at him.

Top notch gelato quality, freshly made by the owner on site. The blend of coffee beans they use it's unique therefore the taste is awesome, very rich in flavour. Highly recommend!!

I used to freqent Madison's because it's one of the few coffeehouses in Leicester open late. They also serve yummy desserts and really good bagel sandwiches too. Their coffee is good, but what sets the apart is their classy atmosphere that makes it's customers feel they're in a sophisticated part of town. Good location too. A little expensive, but you get what you pay for

The sofas need to be changed they hurt when you sit on them. Normal chairs need to be cushioned. Why did they change the music genre? They used to play the radio with some good mixed genres now it’s all smooth jazz doesn’t fit the atmosphere in the cafe.

The spiced chai was okay, but unfortunately Madison's has stopped making actual indian brewed chai! What i ordered was powdered chai latte, a milky tea FLAVOURED drink which probably has about 0.5% tea content whereas the indian tea they did before was actual home style brewed chai! Madison's you need to get back to making a good masala tea please!

Returning to the area after a few years away - finding a good place to sit, have a drink, some quality food etc. is high on my list of priorities. The owner obviously prides himself in a good coffee - the Flat White is my go to choice... and Madisons do it right. The Gelato is all made on premises and this becomes obvious when you taste it, some fantastic flavours. It will alter how you see Gelato/Ice Cream... a true labour of love.

The desserts where all amazing, from a scoop of vanilla ice cream to Ferrero Delight (waffle.) The staff where very attentive and the service was prompt. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious gelato, vegan options. Sat downstairs which was lovely and cool on a very hot day! Seat cover worn/need replacing. Sofas uncomfortable as you could feel the frame through the cushions.
