This Toby Carvery was a large venue comprising large seating area for pub drinking and a separate restaurant area. Nice open spaces not, too busy on the Saturday afternoon when I was here. A nice touch was the 2 open fires makings it a warm friendly atmosphere. Staff were pleasant and engaging, all wearing the company uniform looking smart and professional. On this occasion I orderd Loaded roast potatoes and Southern Fried Chicken Strips. Turkey Sandwich with Gravey, Plum crumble with custard. Most of the food was to OK standard, chicken strips were more chicken nugget size and over cooked. Had the Breakfast the following morning, wow... What a feast, £5.50 and you can keep going back, how is this place not full to the brim with people at this price? Sunday carvery gets very busy according to the taxi diver who dropped us off, he takes lots of people and they ring him back as they can't get in because it's too full, he recommends you pre book the Sunday Carvery. Car Park on site with plenty of spaces available. If this review was informative enough for you give it a thumbs up for others.

Went on Sunday 3/4/22. Carvery was excellent , bit mean with the meat but was delicious . The reason for the 3 stars is because the salt and pepper canisters on the tables were absolutely filthy , looked liked they hadn’t been emptied and washed in months , all food stuck to them ! Tried to swap them but they all minging on other tables !!! The places needs a paint and freshen up as very tired looking . Would go again , will take wipes for salt and pepper pots !

OMG what an amazing Sunday dinner myself and my daughter had! Spoilt for choice! Food is delicious, I had lovely tender turkey with roast and mashed potatoes and the biggest Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen, macaroni cheese peas, vegetarian gravy, ordinary gravy or my favourite, cranberry sauce!. There was also gammon and lamb in the meat selection, my daughter had a bit of everything! Great variety of desserts to choose from, I had the Artic roll with fresh cream and my daughter had the Honeycomb sundae. The fire was lit and it was so cosy. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We were looking for a proper home-cooked Sunday dinner in a homely type environment and that is exactly what we got. I recommend booking a table before you go just in case as it was quite busy, you can do this by either phoning or booking online. Very reasonable prices as well. I am one very happy customer and look forward to coming back again highly recommended.

This pub is nicely decorated and quite spaciously laid out. The service was excellent and the food was well presented and ample. The carvery offers a selection of gammon, pork, beef and turkey. If you pay an extra £1.99 you will receive two sausages and an extra slice of meat, if it is served on a plate with a star printed on the underside you will get your £1.99 refunded!.

A lot of people where using menus as fans to try and cool down and I know a few people in the party I went with started to feel light headed from the heat. I've been here previously and enjoyed a very good carvery with my family. So, having popped in to try their breakfast had high expectations. The look and feel is what you'd expect from Toby. Homely, warm. Our service was reasonable but there seemed to be a shortage on some items from the look of the buffet breakfast and from the Chef talking to the lady that welcomed us. The food tasted good, what there was of it. The seating is a mix of bench, booths and functional chair standard height. It was only for the price being competitive we wanted to see for ourselves. I'm glad we did.

The young lady looking after us all was called Rachel, and she was fantastic, so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us all, she is definitely a credit to the restaurant. Great place to come if you're hungry for a carvery. That said, the meat can often be of a noticeably poor quality, the yorkshire pudding is always rock hard. Veg can be quite dry too. The carver can sometimes be a bit clumsy - dropping your meat on the counter before scooping it up onto your plate, and there can be a long wait if you're just trying to pay for your meal and leave. This Toby Carvery is a typical Toby Carvery with the excellent four roast meat option. As always there is a great choice of vegetables and a number of gravies to choose from. This used to be the Kingsman public jouse. But has since becone a toby. Belter place and lovely to see they have opened a kingsman room in honour of the kingsmen of the Liverpool and Manchester regiments. Now 1st, 2nd & 3rd battalions The Duke of Lancaster Regiments.
