Reviews of Casa do Frango London Bridge

We popped in for a business lunch on a Thursday and just loved the vibe of this place. Beautiful building with vaulted glass ceiling, loads of natural light and greenery. The food was equally fab with yummy veggie options and some great chicken. We had the house Vino Verde which was so light and refreshing. It would also be a great spot for a private party in one of their breakout bars. Loved it!

Went with two of my best friends for a Birthday lunch and it was exactly the perfect setting for us: we got a table upstairs by the window and there was a good distance between tables so we were comfortable. As we love food we practically almost ordered the entire menu :) - the food was really good, tasted delicious and portions were perfect for sharing. I particularly loved the fries, very crispy and crunchy and cooked to perfection. Chicken was super tasty and juicy. Laid back and cosy atmosphere, music not too loud and generally a great ambience. Would highly recommend.

WOW the food and atmosphere here are phenomenal. The room is bright and sunny, filled with cute plants. I loved everything I ordered - beans with kale, chorizo, cauliflower, and empanadas. If I could fit anymore in my stomach I would have gotten the fries and croquettes!
P. O.
Lovely place and deco. Nice employees. The food was delicious. We ordered the salgadinhos, they were nice but you could almost just feel the kale. For mains we were for the chicken, African rice, feijoada and green rice, all DELICIOUS. This for 2 people you get quite full. We will come back🥰
S. A.
Delightful Portuguese food, packed with flavour. Love this sharing dining format which encourages you to try several dishes. Ambiance was lively and service was faultless. A pleasant place to dine and catchup with friends.
V. M.
Tricky one! I would give this place probably a 3.9. I loved the restaurant itself, also the bar at the back, that was a 5/5 because WOOW. It genuinely felt like you just escaped from the city for a while. We knew it was booked up when we went but when our table was needed they just relocated us to the back bar and this was a nice touch because we stayed for a number of hours more. I thought the food was tasty, quite small with some dishes and I get that this place is more centered around the chicken with the other dishes as sides. Though, I do wish there was a fish or plant based option of the same size for people to share because then then this place would have been ideal. The staff were ace, I really cannot fault the service or the drinks!

Having travelled all over Portugal 🇵🇹 including the birthplace and home of authentic piri piri chicken Guia, I’m absolutely delighted to have found somewhere in England 🏴 that is right up there with taste and authenticity.
This isn’t the sauce garbage you buy from Nando’s! This is oil, flavoured with chilli and grilled to perfection, it’s absolutely fantastic.
We also had the chorizo which again tasted fantastic, the mushrooms 🍄 with coriander 🌿 was meaty tasting but delightful.
The wine 🍷 choice is fantastic
Superbock beer 🍺 on tap, great for beer lovers.
Our new go to restaurant when in London
C. H.
Simple menu and all delicious. Staff were very accommodating and took excellent care of us. Would highly recommend and I'll definitely be going back!
J. L.
Very beautiful restaurant that makes you feel like you are outdoors because of the numerous plants inside. Perfectly brings the outside in. The food was deliciously superb! I highly rate the sweet potatoes, the chicken in lemon and garlic and their almond cake. Even better because they have gluten- free options. Must-try when you are in the Borough area.
j. U.
Amazing gem of a find. Great food, rustic decor and atmosphere. The prawns and the chorizos were very good. The chicken was delicious. Wasn’t too keen on the cauliflower. The ingredients clashed a bit for me.
You must try the almond cake. Extremely good.
All in all, incredible Portuguese atmosphere.
Y. M.
The food was excellent. They only do one main which is the half chicken, customisable with sides. The African rice which is their signature was delicious and the other sides were pretty good too. The sharing plates are a little small so definitely you need to order a few if you're sharing. We were a table of 5 and ordered quite a lot of food. It came to about £47 each, including alcoholic drinks, so not a cheap eat, but we did have enough food to be completely full by the end.
It was busy and this did reflect in the service slightly as it took a while to get the attention of staff to order etc. However the staff were all lovely, pleasant and professional so I have no complaints against them. The only weird thing that happened was at the end we were shown to their bar, The Green Room, and told we could have drinks there and then add the to the bill. We were a bit confused as it was vaguely explained and then spent 20mins trying to get someone's attention so we could just get the bill and leave instead of staying in their very loud bar.
e. l.
Delicious, even for a vegetarian! Went with friends and we shared everything (no meat for me) honestly felt happy and full but not too full that i couldn’t walk. Great vibe, interior. There’s also a back bar behind a wall which we didn’t get to go to time but next time!
F. W.
Having eaten plenty of Portuguese chicken I have to say this reminds me a lot of churrascarias in Portugal (which is a good sign).
Food was reasonably priced and well cooked. Service was also prompt.
A. K.
Great food (get the cauliflower starter, it's amazing) but the real star of this restaurant is actually the little bar in the back - a very cool little bar hidden away from the rest of the restaurant serving up all the standard cocktails with a Portuguese twist
D. W.
A brilliant Portuguese restaurant. The decor is great, extremely light and spacious with plenty of seating (especially on the first floor). And, the food is full of favour.
Our group of three had a mixture of dishes such as the prawns, chorizo, African rice, Piri Piri chicken, sweet potato medallions and pork croquettes sharing platters: they were all excellent. The portions were just the right size, and I didn't feel stuffed or bloated afterwards. The staff were also warm and friendly, checking on tables and offering recommendations/explanations on the different dishes.
On the whole, a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend it for dinner with friends.
BTW, the pastel de nata was the best I've had outside of Portugal. 👍 🙂
G. A.
Love everything!!! Had such a lovely dinner and fantastic cocktails!!! Will definitely order more empanadas next time, one the must try. I left room for dessert and had the chocolate mousse. I'm happy the staff didn't take the chili sauce yet because I put some in my chocolate mousse... delicious!
T. Y.
Nice spot for if you're in the area and looking to dig into tender piri piri chicken with your friends, in a classier atmosphere than nandos.
There's only one main dish here: piri piri chicken. If this is not what you and your companions are interested in, you're better off elsewhere.
If that is what you're after, expect some juicy, tender grilled chicken to be enjoyed around the table in a lively, airy high ceiling industrial space lined with indoor plants.
We ordered the "African" rice (Portuguese rice with chorizo, peas, chicken skin, with plantain chunks). Really flavourful, but quite oily - the only thing I would've improved about the meal.
The Nata, though served warm and in nice presentation, felt slightly overpriced at 4 pounds each.
Overall pleasant experience.
A. P.
Very delicious Portuguese food! Simple and beautiful decor, Very friendly staff. Really great experience!
N. M.
Average at best, would still prefer a cheeky Nandos instead.
My friends were raving about this place so thought I’d try it out and frankly I’m disappointed. We waited 45min for our table despite having booked. The chicken was full of bones, the fries were basic and the much hyped African rice was too sweet to my taste. The croquettes, cauliflower and the sauce that comes with the chicken were excellent I must admit. In my opinion the chicken wasn’t even Piri Piri and it was barely grilled.
Prices were reasonable.
Atmosphere was loud.
Table and chairs were uncomfortable at best.
Service was poor.
Wouldn’t come back. Nandos wins.
A. S. L.
Really nice place, good food and atmosphere. Only thing I'd say is that the service was a little slow but it might be because they had just reopened. Staff were super friendly! We took a birthday cake and staff were very accommodating.
A. L.
Great atmosphere and
The foods and beers were awesome especially the grilled chorizo, white bean dish starting with f (in the photo) and the African rice.
But I wanted to give five stars here because we were impressed with waitress Filipa who was professional and friendly. She was genuinely caring and her attentive service and professional attitude impressed us. I asked her name because I think it was the best service I got in London so far and I hope her boss/manager reads this review.
Will definitely bring my friends back here again!
A. C.
Came here for a midweek lunch, it was very busy but didn't feel overcrowded. The food was great, delicious and full of flavour. We particularly enjoyed the African rice and 3 bean salad. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would come here again.
R. C.
We had a delicious lunch in this light and airy restaurant near Borough Market. The chicken was fabulous, with just the right amount of spiciness and the coleslaw and tomatoe salad went perfectly with it. I had the almond cake for dessert, which was moist with a lovely texture and flavour.
S. O.
Amazing restaurant. We had several starters which were all very good, with a special highlight to the mushrooms. The chicken was perfect (as close as you can get to the Portuguese style), and the African rice was the perfect side. Finished off with the mandatory nata. All staff was very helpful. Highly recommended!
S. Z.
Great Portuguese restaurant with a really wonderful ambiance that makes you feel like you're actually in Portugal! Friendly service and we loved being able to book a table for 10pm, which was the earliest we could make after going to the theatre. Highlights were the feijoada and African rice - and of course the piri piri chicken.
A. C.
We came for a Saturday lunch, it was pretty busy but the service was great. The staff were polite and knowledgeable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very lively without being noisy and I enjoyed the ambience. We enjoyed all the food we ordered but I felt that the portion sizes were too small for the asking price and hence not good value for money.
L. O.
Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Every single dish was delicious, the cauliflower being a particular highlight...the sauce and the charcoal smokiness of it was absolutely divine. But beyond the food, what really stood out for us was the flawless service delivered by Terese. What an absolute gem. She was so warm, welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, she was engaging and completely professional. She gave us tastings of the different vinho verdes before we selected one...she paced our meal perfectly and made us feel so special by treating us to complimentary glasses of sparkling wine at the end of the meal (we were celebrating our ten year anniversary). We cannot wait to return with friends and family. What a special place this is! Oh and the pastel de Nata cannot be missed...wow it was good!
C. J.
Best Portuguese restaurant for chicken lover. Would recommend everyone to try this place. Price range are very good for the menu. Definitely try the cocktail. Overall fixed standard menu but authentic Portuguese restaurant. You can go as a group or as a couple date. Staff and service are very good. Check out the pic below: Frango peri peri, chips, African rice with chorizo, BBQ chorizo. Don't forget to get sangria. Would recommend to get the JUG instead of a glass of sangria.
S. M.
I visited with three of my friends on 19 June. The food was delicious and the service was great. The Bacalhau Fritters are incredible 😍 I'll be visiting again soon.
I've given 4 stars instead of 5 due to the limited selection of soft drinks and mocktails.
H. P.
Absolutely amazing restaurant. The menu is simple but very tasty. The signature half a chicken is tender and full of flavour and trying all the different small dishes is also really fun. The fries were also surprisingly really good and perfectly cooked. The converted warehouse feels is really cool as an ambiance. The were efficient but friendly.
C. O. N.
We’ve been meaning to eat at Casa do Frango for a long time and I’m happy to say we enjoyed the food.
The four stars are for the great service from our waitress, really tasty food and lovely setting.
I’ve taken a star off for the luke-warm cauliflower, which was replaced by a hot cauliflower, meaning I could enjoy my chargrilled corn as much as my husband was loving his chicken and fries.
A. M.
Absolutely fantastic. Simple decor, light and bright with lots of plants. The staff are friendly and welcoming.. and the food. Really great!
Only criticism is the extraction could be better. The shop had some some from the grill. I walked out smelling like I’d been to a barbecue.
K. B.
Our second time here and still amazing. We were early to our reservation so they sat us in their beautiful speakeasy bar upstairs.
Casa do Frango has a lovely selection of wine and food- we suggest their speciality- green wine. The rice and croquettes are so so good.
Lastly huge shout out to the nicest waiter I've ever had in my life- Fernando- who couldn't wait to help us and make our experience memorable. We will be back many more times!
D. W.
Pleasant surprise this, I lazily expected a posh nando's. It wiped the floor with it. Everything tasted fresh, and very very nice. Staff were all lovely, relatively quick and simple to order. Can't fault it.
R. B.
A great restaurant with a wide range of options alongside the Peri chicken. It was my second visit, once in the summer outside and this time inside. The atmosphere was great and the service was fantastic - in particular Blaire was so friendly, helpful and happy to talk through the menu. I’d highly recommend for a small or medium size group.
Sadly I didn’t take any pictures but I’d recommend the croquettes to share with the broccoli and chorizo and the African rice is a must.. although, that’s a lot of chorizo!
A. U.
What a wonderful restaurant, staff & ambiance when visited two weeks ago. Food and drinks were of top quality. Followed by the 'secret bar' where the drinks continued with good music and mood. Looking forward to going back in new year. Thanks
R. E.
The food is great. Good value for money. Staff are lovely. The upstairs venue is beautiful. Big high sealing, cast iron features with lots of glass, natural light and beautiful plants. Both times I have been we’ve been a bit table so sometimes the service wasn’t the best. Not for a lack of staff trying, just because they are a bit understaffed for peak time.
M. W.
Had dinner here tonight- my second time. It's a delightful venue with a light airy feel. Food is tasty and interesting - a small menu done well. But most all the staff deserve a mention - we interacted with about 5 female staff in the bar area and the table. Each waitress was warm, friendly and efficient. Really you made it a pleasure. Thank you for your pitch perfect service.
R. A.
Lovely place, food and service. Staff super friendly, dishes curated and very tasty. Probably a bit less oil in the green rice :)... but that's me. Overall would definitely come back.
J. M.
Food was as expected and fine except for the"fresh" green salad, which wasn't. The cabbage slaw that my friend had was nice though.
Lively restaurant in an interesting building. Had heard that there were complaints about poor service but it was fine when we were there.
R. S.
Thank you so much for another lovely evening. The food and service was incredible. The salgadinhos were super tasty as was the gazpacho last summer, I cant wait for all your new menu items and, as always, the chicken was superb.
p. w.
The restaurant is probably better for a romantic date for young people. The dining area has a cool atmosphere with nice high ceilings and the conversion has retained some features of the original victorian building.
The food isn't great value. £11 for a small helping of averagely cooked chicken.
It lacked that friendly feel, but visually it ticked all the boxes.
A. D. S.
delicious food. great service. the room upstairs has beautiful natural light. i would recommend trying all the platters!
P. A.
Absolutely loved it! Simple menu. Tasty Portuguese food. Excellent service. And the decor was superb. It felt like we were dining in a different country. Would definitely recommend this place (and the piri piri chicken!).
N. J.
Fabulous ambience! Could have sat there all day. The food was good, but the peri-peri chicken wasn't spiced at all. I don't know if it's a Portuguese thing and I'm just uncultured, but I expected a lot more flavour. Same for the garlic prawns - could have used more garlic. Fab chorizo though!
V. G.
Airy and good ambiance. Lovely food and good service. We were there 3 hours and weren't hassled to move on. Coffee very disappointing however. Far too burnt and only espresso. What's wrong with offering a good quality medium roast americano?
S. P.
Peri peri chicken was slightly undercooked. Therefore it was super challenging to debone it. Side dishes were nice, especially the jumbo prawns were juicy. I don’t recommend their rice. We ordered several types of rice. One of them was slightly undercooked (had lots of solid hard rice particles).
H. C.
Great bar while you wait and food was amazing, definitely try to garlic mushrooms
P. P.
Best peri peri chicken but pricy.
Last week me and my wife decided to come here and eat the best peri peri chicken I've had outside Portugal, but it has a cost. We didn't book any table in advance, it was Friday night and fully packed. After waiting at the bar for 40 min we were given a table. It was so loud! Everyone, specially the lady sitting next to us, were talking loud and laughing like crazy people. I was hoping for a relaxed, chilled and calm dinner. They also run out of fries, can you believe? - imported from Portugal and cut by hand. The food is quite expensive - £10 for half chicken without sides. Was delicious thought, but not going back soon.
A. W.
The restaurant had a open community bench setting, high ceiling and lots of natural light. We really enjoyed our visit to the restaurant. Their signature piri piri chicken also did not disappoint. Crispy and juicy. Pretty good option for food if you're around the London Bridge area!
R. M.
Really fabulous meal here, so nice to find a tapas place with good veggie options! The charred cauliflower and sweet potato feijoada in particular were lovely. Reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere, also did a great job with social distancing having just reopened after restaurant closures for coronavirus.
L. C.
Loved it! Lovely looking place, good vibe, great food
F. R.
Great as always. Every time I come at Casa do Frango restaurant I am not disappointed. The food is good and plentyfull, atmosphere is great and the prices are good too. The staff is lovely and very attentive as well. It's a sure win if you are unsure where to eat in the city.
Highly raccomanded !
5 stars will deserved!
S. C.
After a rocky start where we were 30 minutes waiting for drinks after arriving, the manager and staff couldn't do enough to make up for it. They made sure we sampled everything on the menu and we got detailed authentic descriptions of the dishes from the manager. Could have been a disappointing evening but they completely turned it around and I would highly recommend and return to this restaurant. Great spot.
J. D.
We had never been to Casa do Frango before, but I had heard so many good things about it! And it was even more than what I expected! We had a wonderful time! The place was beautiful! I'm half Portuguese and I can say that it's really hard to find such good Portuguese food in London! Everything was delicious!
The staff were also incredibly friendly! Imma and Owen took care of our table and they were the best! So many great recommendations, they really understood the menu and were happy to help with anything! Will definitely be coming back! Congratulations to the whole Casa do Frango team!!!
A. J.
Lovely Portuguese restaurant with great food! Have both ordered delivery and ate in, the restaurant itself is very cute, great service, portions of some of the small plate tapas was actually bigger than expected (the grilled cauliflower was massive!), and amazing peri-peri chicken. Would go back again!
H. U.
Well... after a 45 minute queue (where we were well looked after in the bar) we made it into Casa do Frango.
Staff were incredibly friendly, the chicken was delicious and good value, and our favourite dish the charred cauliflower was a real surprise! Enjoy with the green wine and finish off with a Nata, which was probably the best I’ve had in London! Fresh & still warm.
Atmosphere was really lively. Felt like we were on holiday during a fairly miserable month!
Thanks guys!
T. P.
The food was really good but the portions very small. Even though that's the concept, it was a little overpriced for the amount of food. The environment is very nice though, especially the bar in the back upstairs. Beautiful space and good music, loved the vibe there!
D. M.
When i first went to Casa do Frango it was beyond amazing. The food was spectacular, was made quick but not as quick for ur food to be cold, it had all the Portuguese flavours and it definitely reminds me of Portugal as well as the decorations. The workers are so nice and caring, they would always put a smile on mine and my families faces. I would definitely go there again and i do recommend.
H. P.
Excellent lunch - four sharing plates between two (pork croquettes, garlic mushrooms, roasted sweet potato, and bean salad) was just the right amount and each dish was delicious. Accompanied by a couple of glasses of vinho verde this left us feeling pretty happy. Nice ambience too. Highly recommended.
w. t.
Thanks for making our night so beautiful. After a recommendation, booked a table n been there for dine. What a lovely atmosphere, cool staff, great service, delicious food. Everything was perfect. 5 star for my satisfaction n yes i must recommend. Defo come again.
C. Y.
Best Nata in town! The grilled cauliflower is amazing haha!
C. F. O.
Been here 4 times and each time it’s been amazing. Love the chicken and the custard tarts. Every time we have been we have always been served by a brilliant server. I can’t remember her name but, she has wkd braided black hair. She is so friendly, and always makes us smile. She definitely needs to be recognised for the level of service she gives. Thank you. Our Frenchbulldog loves the chicken too 🌈❤️🐶
R. R.
Very impressed with how they helped me out. Had had a small glitch with a refund in lockdown and they were super good about sorting it and reassuring I'd get either a refund or credit. I took credit and had a fantastic meal again today. They really took responsibility for what was a simple admin error. So impressed with how they handled things.
P. C.
First time I ate portuguese food with a tweak being successful and delicious. The prawns and the chorizo five stars and the chicken amazing along with the rice (both). Service very professional and staff friendly and helpful. Thanks for the experience Casa do Frango.
C. H.
The food was really good and were served really fast. However, we were not so impressed of placing a couple with a young baby next to us when the whole resturant was empty aprt from us and the other couples. The place was really noisy too so it was not a great place if you want to have a proper conversation.
c. m.
Lovely restaurant, beautiful atmosphere and Friendly staff , such as miss taí, miss serenela and the very tasty chicken grilled over wood charcoal !
N. H.
The food here is fantastic! Even though the only main dish is piri piri chicken (which is great) there was a good vege selection for the member of our party who doesn't eat meat and she was able to have those whilst we ate our mains. Try and get a table upstairs if you can as it is a lovely setting, downstairs is less impressive decor wise. And finally, don't exoect super speedy service - staff are very friendly but not the quickest, then again i have eaten in portugal so this is an authentic epxerienec!
G. T.
Amazing restaurant great atmosphere fantastic attentive staff and clean toilets.
They food was fantastic great flavours fresh hot and delicious will definitely be heading back. The chorizo and african rice were awesome.
D. G.
The restaurant is really cute and bright with nice decor, the staff was really friendly. The food was nice, with some tasty traditional Portuguese dishes on offer. I would definitely return, but would probably not order the chicken as although it was nice, I prefer having chicken somewhere else, but I would most likely return to try their small dishes. Would recommend
M. C. D.
This place popped up on my Instagram and I was immediately intrigued. Visited with my boyfriend the first time and could not have asked for a better experience: the chicken was exactly as we traditionally eat in Portugal, the drinks (specially the port tonic) were delicious. Our server recommended the mousse with whisky on top and it was to die for.
Have been two times since (once for a birthday dinner and once with a friend) and the service and food continue to Impress. So happy to have found this place and have been recommending to everyone I know who loves Portugal. Will be back soon for sure!
J.
Was welcomed in and seated just fine, ordered all good together and they had forgotten to add half of the dishes. Was served a portion of prawns and they were off. Given all of this I can't recommend this place.
J. S.
Seriously delicious food. The chorizo was cooked to perfection and the pickled chilli's were a fantastic addition. Also had the whitebait and prawns for starter which were fab. The chicken is the perfect mix of smokey, charred, tender and juicy. We got the garlic and also the peri peri and the peri peri was so good we ordered another one! This is an absolute winner of a restaurant, great service, beautiful setting and delicious food.
P. R.
New Piri Piri Chicken Algarvian restaurant near London Bridge / Borough market on the 1st floor. Cool venue and great tasting butterflied and grilled chicken (frango) cooked over wood charcoal. it is then brushed with one of three signature sauces – lemon & garlic, oregano or piri piri.
We started with the Super Bock battered Whitebait and the Grilled Prawns in piri piri sauce. Mains were the delicious half chicken each with a different sauce and fires and tomato salad for sides. We couldn't resist the chocolate mousse and the custard tart with coffee ice cream for dessert. Great local and look forward to coming back soon.
D. A.
I’m going to go with 5 stars. Restaurant was meeh (i mean good as expected, but not jaw dropping exceptional), but Green Room cocktail bar at the back of the restaurant was a treat!
B. R. W.
Good food and service with reasonable price
F. M.
Best place we are all week. Wow. Amazing flavors, great service, cute place

My fave Portuguese comfort food + I love the vibe there! First time there I brought a group of friends and they all had a fab time.
S. B.
I went in the opening week. What a great place. Open, airy, spacious with a lovely buzz.
I had chirozo, whitebait, chicken and it was superb.
Service was great and very friendly.
I’ll definitely go again. Yum.
L. H.
Really tasty food - especially the charred cauliflower! The piri-piri chicken and African rice were also delicious.
M. O.
Nice green wine, chicken and prawns. Fresh bread. Food is simple and straightforward. Trendy restaurant setting in an old building.
D. S.
Food was great and service kind. Advance reservation essential especially on a weekend. Don't expect mild food - pipi piri is SPICY. Garlic chicken was way too better than the other option. Rice tender, tomatoes in salad looked imported (delicious !!) and good selection of Portuguese wines.
J.
Beautiful restaurant in old building still with original features that used to be an engineers store, best piri piri chicken in London. The octopus rice was delicious too! Definitely worth a visit.
M. O.
Casa do Frango was busy during our visit. We heard this is common, so make sure you make and keep your reservations. The Piri Piri chicken, octopus rice, and grilled chorizo were some of our favorites. After dinner, we enjoyed drinks at the secret bar. The Green Room is the secret bar. The mixology at the Green Room was excellent. We were overall pleased with Casa do Frango.
p.
Love the chicken here, but be careful it’s chicken chicken and sides. The rice and cauliflower sides were the best. Lovely interior as well. So overall great experience.
F. A.
Its a great place for dates or drinks and snack. The Secret Speakeasy bar is great after dinner and yoir not quite ready to go😊
S. B.
I went in the opening week. What a great place. Open, airy, spacious with a lovely buzz. …
A. L.
Visited on a busy Saturday night. Was extremely impressed by the starters, both the prawn and the sweet potato were absolutely delicious. However the main (peri peri chicken) came after an extended wait and was disappointing as it was tough and bit dry, made only better by the chilli sauce that came with it. Side of corn was good.
What impressed us the most was the service at the end - when noting the dry chicken they were quick to apologise and offer to comp that dish, which we did not expect at all, but more than made up for it.
E. K.
We came to eat here as a large group after work. The place is really busy and that meant a lot of pressure to be on time and out by certain times, that bit us a little. However...
The staff and service were really good.
The food is delicious. It can be a bit hard to wrap your head around, but think Tapas with piri-piri chicken as a slightly larger tapas and you have the right idea. Ordering small plates to share is a must, as is washing it down with Cai Pirinhas or Sangria.
Croquettes and the cauliflower are stand-out choices. But everything was tasty with roughly the number of plates per person being a good starting point.
Decor is light and airy industrial, with exposed brickwork, iron supports and large windows with plants trailing down from the ceiling.
Would very much recommend.

We went for dinner, it’s a lovely atmosphere, staff is friendly however the food isn’t so great in my opinion. Very affordable yet it’s lacking in taste, all the portions are heavily spiced with garlic, I was still hungry after dinner.
L. T. T.
loved the interiors, music, vibes, and mostly important the food (obviously).
was already impressed before the food came - was lucky to get a window seat and felt like i was transported into a cute portuguese town with the green interiors and latina music
ordered two of the half chicken in peri peri / lemon & garlic flavours (only £10 each!!) and a plate of the african rice (£6). honestly enjoyed both the flavours so much - the peri peri flavour was slightly spicy, but also sweet and sour, and punchy because of the herbs. i felt like i was tasting something different every moment, but each taste was so rich and intense in the best way. also love how the meat tasted slightly smokey but also so tender and juicy. and the lemon & garlic was just such a refreshing contrast - with equally intense flavour that was light and refreshing at the same time, a perfect threat for the summer weather. finally, loved the african rice SO much. it was topped with fried chicken skin and chorizon, and soaked in an oily base of intense flavours. honestly was mind blown - never knew rice could taste like that????
to sum it up, would strongly recommend this place to all for the best experience and most intense flavours :-)

Posh Nando’s .. the green rice is delicious! I recommend having a few cocktails in their bar too! Very cool, moody lighting, intimate and great drinks! ❤️
C. L.
Went there a couple of weeks ago with my colleagues, a waitress spilled a pint of beer unfortunately on my jacket. I was shocked and obviously less than impressed, however, I must give praise to how well the whole thing was handled by the team there. Someone took my jacket away for a good/quick rinse, and my subsequent dry-clean bill was reimbursed pretty quickly (thanks Becca and the team), our bill that night was also discounted, no sour taste from me.
I've been there a number of times, and I'd recommend it even more after this incident (obviously hope it won't happen again!) ;) Good food, good ambiance and great service!
E. F.
Just so much fun! Started with a porto tonico, had some lovely sharers and then shared a chicken and some sides. The peri peri sauce was amazing, just the right level of spice! We got some Vinho Verde too and felt like we were back in Portugal. Service was great with time taken to give us recommendations where it could easily have been not personal at all. We will definitely be back.
A. H.
Friendly staff, found room for me at the bar when I only wanted a drink without a reservation! The downstairs area is also good if you're just looking for a drink! I'd like to try the food one day!
G. G.
Some of tastiest chicken I’ve had in a while; succulent like the venerated bird should be. As you enter this lovely setting, you can see the meat on the rotary, and food being prepped from the open kitchen. Prices are very good for the level of quality. Hopefully in the future they will offer varying levels of heat in the Peri Peri sauce, as it currently doesn’t quite pack the punch I was craving. Minor gripe however, look forward to returning soon.
M. O.
Nice green wine, chicken and prawns. Fresh bread. Food is simple and straightforward. Trendy restaurant setting in an old building.
H.
One of the best places to have a meal in terms of food and ambience. Staff are friendly and good value for money.
P. i. S.
Amazing food and excellent customer service! I'd go here go every night for food and drinks, if I could that is. I highly recommend this restaurant.
R. T.
Good food reasonably priced. Nice ambiance. And the house wine - red & white - was good.
J. P.
My fave Portuguese comfort food + I love the vibe there! First time there I brought a group of friends and they all had a fab time.
E. D.
Good service. Good lively atmosphere. Cavernous and with the crowd was a little hard to hear conversations. Got a sampling of small plates. Really liked the roasted cauliflower. Didn't care much for the Peri Peri prawns (not spicy, overcooked). The bread, chorizo, and pork croquettes were all good. Prices were quite reasonable.

Casa do Frango - House of chicken
A real gem!
Delicious piri-piri chicken is one of the stars, but this is an assemble cast of no bad choices. Vegetarians can rest easy with side dishes that are generously portioned and delicious. The service is outstanding, the space is glorious and spacious. The acoustics are not great, but it adds to the friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!
B. H.
Lovely setting with the greenhouse feel. The food overall was very tasty. Their piri piri sauce is excellent. I was not as keen on their version of the bacalhau fritters, which they mix with chickpeas, which I felt, overpowered the fish and made them a bit dry. It is an interesting twist on the bolinhos de bacalhau however, I guess I am just more of a fan of the traditional version where the cod is the dominant taste. The charr-grilled cauliflower, as well as the rice dishes were delicious. They definitely do live up to their name as far as the chicken dishes go.
The restaurant gets busy early in the evening already, I guess it is the after-work crowd, so a reservation may be a good idea. When it was full, the environment got quite a bit noisy.
The service was attentive, and the overall experience was a good one. I recommend it and I plan to return again.
D. A.
I’m going to go with 5 stars. Restaurant was meeh (i mean good as expected, but not jaw dropping exceptional), but Green Room cocktail bar at the back of the restaurant was a treat!
M. K.
Only ate most of the salad, chicken was a bit tough, not anything special, but the place itself is lovely warm and cozy, staff lovely
K. N.
Chicken and cauliflower - must try! And Sangria of course😉
B. L.
Beautiful ambiance, awesome place to meet up with friends/loved ones to share a meal. Not too expensive, can get crowded so make sure you make reservations and don't be late! Make sure you get the African rice with the baked chicken.
E. R.
Good chicken and rice. A grown-up version of Nando’s.
a. p.
Great hidden cocktail bar whilst you wait to be seated. The whole restaurant just has a fantastic vibe, great food and great for groups. Will definitely visit again. FYI The main is chicken so I wouldn’t really say this is the best place for vegetarians.
N. D.
If a fancy version of Nandos had a baby with a good tapas bar, this would be their popular baby. Lots of interesting sharing plates, all of which are good. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend you book though, as it is very busy.
S. “. H.
Get a whole chicken to share - you won't be disappointed with the flavour and the meat is really tender. I also loved the rice with plantain - amazing flavour and textures.
C. H.
Cheeky Nandos, nah Cheeky Frango, delicious peri peri chicken. Not too spicy but loads of flavour and tender juciy chicken. The African rice is also a must have with chorizo crispy chicken skin and plantain.
N. B.
Staff super kind! Cocktails and food are superb taste. Cannot wait to go back.
j.
Nice food and atmosphere in this beautiful old stylish Portuguese chicken and tapa restaurant. Good service and nice atmosphere. Good for groups.
Z. S.
Loved everything, the service, the food, the cocktails and the wine!
One minor point was that we did get charged for the fritters but these were not served. Only noticed later.
P. J.
The atmosphere was lively and vibrant. Great place for gatherings. Flavourful and moist chicken. Their appetisers were fantastic.
B. G.
The chicken is solid good. But you have to have the African rice (chorizo, platans, crispy chicken skin), it's OUTSTANDING! My new favorite rice dish! Thank you for experience, Casa do Frango!!
s. z.
We had a very pleasant visit to this vibrant but relaxed restaurant. The interior decor is lovely and you can really appreciate the work that they have done to preserve the original building but also to make it modern and trendy. The food was good, perfect for sharing with some bold flavours. Sadly the piri piri chicken which should be the star was fairly average with not a lot of meat on the actual bones although the flavours were tasty. We tried some other dishes and liked the oven roasted cauliflower and the star dish the African rice. Service was friendly and the pricing was fair so we will come back again for sure.
M. M.
Authentic. Flavorful! Great prices. Beautiful location!
D. B.
Tasty piri piri chicken, best served with the African rice and cold super bock beer!
m. b.
Good food but the rest not very warm ambience are good ad lively. The service was excellent.
M. J.
Really nice atmosphere. Good food too - really succulent chicken well presented and with delicious sides.
S. N.
Excellent atmosphere and delicious food. Great veggie options. Friendly service.
M. B.
Such good food. Great service and a great atmosphere!
M. A.
Very nice food, but portion sizes are rather small - order big! I wouldn't class this as traditional Portuguese - more of a modern, western twist on Portuguese food. But I prefer that. Absolutely lovely.
D. B.
Great meal. (Almost) fully authentic Portuguese grilled chicken with tomato rice. One of the best places for a Portuguese-like meal in London. Average around 25GBP pp with drinks.
S. S.
We booked a table in advance and when we got there had to wait for more than half hour.
When we finally got to the table and we ordered drinks, starters and main. I was quite surprised when they got all of our order together!
Whilst eating, I lost count, but the waiters and waitresses probably came to our table at least 10 times and asking if everything was ok.
I genuinely felt been pressured to leave!
I must say the food is very good.
D. H.
The best chicken and chips you will find in London, don't avoid the hot stuff and go for oregano or garlic, you will regret it. This chicken is worth travelling for
F.
Excellent food, brilliant environment with friendly staff. 10/10 and would definitely recommend!
Y. P.
Mixed feeling. The food was great, particulary cauliflower and prawn. But the seating area downstairs was rather underwhelming decor with a bit loud music (only later knew that upstairs are much nicer as you can see photos in the reviews). Staffs were friendly but not attentive. It was super difficult to get their attention and looks like the restaurant is understaffed (we were a group of 5). Furthermore we had to wait our food for more than half an hour after putting the order and the one whole chocken dish was completely forgotten and we almost cancelled it. I might come back since some of the menu were great but wouldn’t say for sure -
N. R.
The food was delicious and very well seasoned and the staff was efficient and lovely, we had a problem with small mosquitoes flying into our delicious sangria and the manager was very understanding and polite and gave us another table.
I'd definitely come back again, I had a lovely evening!
K. M.
The food was absolutely delicious. The peri peri chicken was juicy and flavorful and the green rice was really yummy. Only -1 star because we were told it was a 15-30 minute wait, but we ended up waiting a whole hour in the bar.
The bar was quite nice too though. Will definitely like to come back
P. G.
Beautiful, light space in a converted warehouse. Food is Portuguese, based heavily around grilled chicken; think “posh Nando’s” and you'll have a decent idea. Great small plates: the sweet potato feijoada and cod and chickpea fritters were highlights. Small list of light Portuguese wines, beers, and cocktails. I liked it a lot.
g. r. (.
Amazing food of outstanding quality. Always very busy but it wort to wait.
C. G.
Delicious chicken and chips, or rice etc. Excellent cocktails and good atmosphere. Upstairs looks like an old factory, with high ceilings and skylights. Have been a couple of times now and would deffo go back.
A. R.
The food is great, we had the chicken with peri peri sauce, the tomato rice and the grilled cauliflower and the Portuguese egg tart with coffee ice-cream. The service was quick as well.
T. U.
Really cosy restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere. The cauliflower is a must try as are the croquettes. Some lovely options for Vinho Verde. Did not try the chicken which I now regret
R. F.
Great value and outstanding food. Very authentic Portuguese food. Highly recommend!
N. P.
The restaurant is beautiful and the food is really good. We tried the empanadas, croquettes (highly recommended), mushrooms, piri piri shrimps (nothing special) and grilled chorizo (very good) from the starters. We also had oregano and lemon & garlic chicken with african rice and salads, all of which were delicious. Almond cake is a must! 4 stars only because the staff was not very friendly and slightly rude. Although the restaurant was half empty after a while, it felt impossible to get the waitresses' attention and the overall service was very slow.
O. T.
The piri piri chicken and prawns were great! The bacalhau croquettes were rather bland though which was a real shame as salt cod is my favourite thing in Portugal.
C. K.
Lovely restaurant straight out of Portugal! Great place for food and drinks with friends or even date night!
K. D.
We went here last weekend and it was a last minute affair and random and wow what a find it's an absolute gem.The food was some of the best I've eaten in London and I eat at restaurants on a weekly basis. The ingredients were quality and full of flavoursome goodness. The atmosphere really nice. There work ethic and teamwork is like a well oiled machine which could teach other restaurants a thing or 2.I also have to mention our waitress Therese who's energy and charisma was amazing a true credit to the company thank you
A. P.
Great place, the food was sensational and the service was fast. Will be visiting again very soon.
M. R.
Amazing. Love is place. Atmosphere and decor is spot on, not uptight at all so felt very comfortable there. Food was brilliant. Think Nando’s except much, much, much better!
A. S. C.
Not my first time having dinner at Casa do Frango and no doubt the food it delicious. However I booked a table the day before and still had to wait for more than 30min for my table to be ready. Staff is friendly and the space is nice but the music is very very loud.
T. R.
Beautiful setting, super for friendly staff , affordable great tasting food, what else can you ask for?
F. M.
Best place we are all week. Wow. Amazing flavors, great service, cute place
V.
Friendly staff and quick service. The garlic mushrooms were seasoned well and the bacalhau fritters were tasty too. I recommend the pastel de Nata for dessert. I wish the menu had a little more options but other than that I think I'll be a returning customer. I booked lunch using Resy.
C. T.
Best Portuguese chicken in London. Hands down. Also a beautiful, vibrant space to have dinner and a drink in the secret bar.
E.
Such an amazing place in central London! Cozy while modern, nice bar, good vibes, friendly service and delicious tapas ! Definitely going back !
A. &. S. D.
Stunning food... and a beautiful venue with huge light-filled windows. Recommended
B. S. (.
This little gem is located right outside borough markets and a short walk to London Bridge through lively lanes. I came here with some work colleagues and a baby had an outstanding experience. Service was simply fantastic and humorous, particularly when our party had difficulties ordering in a cohesive way. The waiter handled this exceptionally well and had us laughing many times with his gentle ribbing throughout the evening. We stayed about 4 hours and enjoyed many drinks (can recommend the sangria) as well as meals (Piri Piri Chicken was delicious), small plates (the heirloom tomato salad is to die for) and dessert (the Portuguese tart is incredible - flavoursome, crunchy and indulgent). Everything was polished off apart from the green rice which was a bit oily and under seasoned, but that was the exception. The staff went out of their way to provide a comfortable atmosphere during the current times, and to accommodate a pram, and we also saved a really decent amount on our bill due to their Eat Out in September promotion. Everyone at our table agreed we will be back and are so glad to have discovered it.
H. C.
Light lunch for two. Peri peri chicken with chilli sauce, chips, Greek salad and lager. Perfect food and very tasty. Dining room on first floor attractive and decrepit with lots of greenery. Whole venture let down by poor front of house staff.
D. L.
Love this place, the food, atmosphere and wine are all great. If you're looking for a restaurant with a huge menu and loads of different dishes this isn't for you. They do 6 or so different starters and the main is chargrilled chicken either piri piri or lemon and herb with a selection of sides. The paired back menu means everything has to be on point and it is, I've eaten here a number of times and never had anything but a fantastic meal. The only thing that could be improved is the service which can be a little slow at times but by London standards it is still first rate.
G. D. V.
We had a lovely time and great food. The atmosphere is really nice and industrial. Just really noisy.
N. M.
Great Portuguese dishes, centering on toast chicken prepared three ways. Good service and a nice tranquil historic atmosphere. Delicious.
E. S.
Great food, very nice staff... Unfortunately it was incredibly noisy and could not hear each other speak. Not sure whether it is like this every night though...
P. N.
The service was excellent and the food was so good it made we want to book the next ticket back home to Madeira. Highly recommended
J. G.
Good food but slightly limited menu so not recommended for groups or anyone whose a picky eater. The restaurant has recently doubled in size by taking the ground floor of the building (since that restaurant has now moved on) where they were previously on 1sr floor only and maybe not used to the extra number of diners and staff as was chaotic and not as good an experience as previous visits. One dish we ordered never arrived at all despite reminding the server that we hadn't had it, and it wasn't on the bill so guess they just forgot to place our order for it- twice... The drinks took forever to arrive. If the G&Ts we'd ordered at the start had arrived quickly as an aperitif as intended, and not midway through the meal, we would have liked to order wine but we'd already eaten half our meal. Small plates were good but the chicken main dish was dry as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while and disappointingly bland. Still a good venue, and hopefully they will get back to being as good as before. Maybe just teething problems having recently expanded, and maybe we got a new member of staff with less experience? Will visit again at some point and hopefully be able to give them give stars which I would have based on previous visits. Also, if booking, I'd recommend asking for a table on the first floor which personally I think is much nicer with vaulted ceilings and lots of light whereas the ground floor seemed stuffy and too warm, very different vibe to upstairs.
B. H.
Very enjoy the brunch experience, good food, attentive service.
O. D. B. R.
Delicious food!!! You have to try de broccoli, the green rice and of course the chicken. Yum!
V. D.
Good food, nice setting. Not far from London Bridge so easy to get to. Everything we ordered was of high quality. Staff were friendly and attentive. Plenty of seating for larger groups. Think there was a large party in for a birthday and the setup worked well. Would definitely go again if the area. Chicken was very tasty as were vegetarian options.
K. l.
The cauliflower was divine! The service though was pretty poor. Very very slow. Very hard to get anyone's attention. They then forgot to bring things /brought incorrect items. They were v busy so maybe it was just a bad night but seemed really disorganised. Nice place though, although avoid the table right by the front door where we were put. Freezing.
C. M.
Enjoyable meal - lovely decor. Would have given it a 5* but we ordered a table for 8:00pm so we had 2 hours to enjoy our meal before being kicked out as per the rules. Sadly we weren't seated until 8:40pm so things felt too rushed sadly. Also, hand dryer in the toilets didn't work, and there was no alternative to dry your hands. Small things, but need fixing for a 5* rating
Z. H.
Chicken was a little dry and lacked flavor. Starters was absolutely lovely the grilled chorizo and pork crochet was really nice. Staff and the restaurant was lovely also. Food wasnt the best I have had if I'm being honest and wouldt rush to go again.
J. W.
This is a really nice restaurant to visit. The decoration is simple, but bright and there's a sense of space. The chicken is some of the best that I have ever eaten and the small dishes of tomato salad and chorizo are excellent. There is a stylish 'hidden' bar, which is worth visiting although it was temporarily closed due to Covid-19 when I ate there (London Bridge). My only complaint is that their Peri-Peri sauce is a little bland and is really a pepper sauce. I know that's inevitable, it's a pepper after all, but it misses a bit of non-peoper flavour.
S. O.
Great good, lovely atmosphere, reasonable prices and the staff are friendly and attentive.
D. W.
Great service, ambiance, music, delicious food with a Portuguese touch and great cost / benefit. Enjoy!
M. C.
The overall experience on my visits has been fantastic. It is a very nice sit down place for lunch with colleagues (or friends meeting you midday). The ambiance matches the food -- both are great and come with a relaxed vibe, especially with the glass roof that makes you feel as if you are sitting outside even on a not so warm day.
S.
We found this little Indian gem just up from Borough Market. Great food
l.
The place was pretty busy on a Sunday evening. The menu is comprised of various small plates plus the headline item – peri-peri chicken. The two of us ordered a half chicken each, plus the salgadinhos, prawns, meatballs, green rice and chips, finishing off with the nata and the choc mousse. The food was excellent. All the items we tried were very enjoyable, except perhaps the prawns which were less exciting. Service was decent. The bill came to £100 of which £35 was spent on drinks, which seemed reasonable. Overall, a great meal and I liked the fact that there were plenty of other tasty things to try apart from the signature chicken.
N. Y.
So so good! Best to share and have to get the cauliflower.
a. d.
Central London is still a ghost town. Tonight a few friends and l enjoyed a lovely evening at casa do franco. The menu is reassuringly small and simple. We pretty much had one of everything. The food was great. The beer was excellent. And the wine reasonably priced. They forgot a couple of our dishes or at least they arrived late after prompting. They did not charge us for those plates. The only niggle and it is a big one was the deep pounding music that forced all to shout. The table next to us complained about it and to their credit it was moderated. Why? What is the point of imposing such a hateful noise on your guests. Turn it off. It can only be for the benefit of the staff.
M. N.
Loved this place. We were a fairly large group so pretty much ordered one of everything on the menu. Everything was delicious including the Sangria! Been a long time since I've been to a restaurant where I every single dish was so flavorsome. Will definitely be going back.
U. F.
Great venue and the food even better!! Strongly recommended!!
S. B.
Fantastic food and atmosphere! Food is clearly labeled for gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and nuts
N. H.
Very much enjoyed our visit here. Thought the chicken was delicious and beautifully cooked. The space also very lovely. Sometimes took a little while for us to get our drinks, but it was a super busy Friday night so that's understandable. Also thought the cauliflower dish was well worth ordering and enjoyed the grilled chorizo very much indeed too. We will be back.
S.
Great food, wine and service ... definitely go again
M. R.
Amazing food here. The chicken is incredibly well seasoned and grilled to perfection. The African rice is also lovely and i really liked the addition plantain. The manager at this place is also an absolute don! Helped us rectify a small issue and made the whole experience even more pleasurable. Will be back!
R. J.
Great food and lovely venue. Got there at 5:45 and it was quiet, left an hour later and it was packed. Really tasty chicken and great service. Only minor gripes were that my guests coke came in a warm glass almost straight from the dishwasher and my wine could have been better chilled. Otherwise great.
C. B.
Absolutely delicious and true to good Portuguese cuisine. So good that I've lost count of how many times I've been here.
K. S.
I have visited the London Bridge branch twice now and both times were excellent! The ambiance and decor of the dining room was fab with tall ceilings and hanging plants. The piri piri chicken is 11/10! I’m sure the marinade is a trade secret but the flavours are just bursting and juicy! A little disappointed with the sangria which is watered down! But they serve coke in a glass bottle which always tastes better :) I can recommend the cod fish in the small plate selection. The music can be quite loud which I have emailed to them before but seems like nothing has been done about it. If you prefer an intimate dinner with conversation ask for the downstairs dining room instead of upstairs. Good chicken is always a winner and Casa do Frango delivers it fantastically!
L. N.
As a Portuguese living in London this is how chicken should be cooked. Amazing food, great atmosphere and the whole menu is a step above what you find nowadays in the high street.
The sides and small plates also pack a punch, I recommend trying the Chorizo and olive mayo.
B. R. W.
Good food and service with reasonable price
G. B.
Pretty cool casual dining spot. Cocktails in the back bar where good. Service is casual and friendly. Recommended.
D.
Loved it! Chicken dishes were flavourful and cooked perfectly. Tried the original and lemon pepper- yummy! Chips/Fries were too salty so a point off. Tried the rice with octopus-out of this world! I will definitely go back here when I'm next in London . Tips: gets fairly busy, so make a reservation in advance! Sangria's were tasty. Ask about the secret bar.
A. M.
Lovely meal with fantastic service. Everything we tried was yummy!
m. p.
Lovely place. Service excellent food tasty and at a very reasonable price for London. Already been again.
K. G.
Things I loved:
The side dishes - Green Rice (probably one of the best side dishes I've ever had) Cauliflower 'starter' definitely the best cauliflower I've ever eaten.
The ambiance - wasn't the nice of days yet somehow it felt like summer in there. Really nice, chilled bright spot.
The Service - not over bearing but there when you needed it and always with a smile.
Things I think could be worked on:
The chicken - it was good but not 'great' - the side dishes carried it but I was looking for more crispy flavoured skin. The table next to us seemed to have this so could have just been unfortunate with us. It was moist and the flavouring nice but wanted more crisp!
The cocktails - OK I'll be honest. These, in my opinion, need a rethink. All the components in each are fantastic and Ingridients me and my diner friend love but somehow they just didn't work. Nothing wrong with the execution, I just don't think they are well balanced cocktails.
I would definitely go back and recommend but, if the chicken had crispier skin and the cocktails were a bit better thought out it would be 5 stars.
A. O.
Really good tapas style Portuguese food, great ambiance
R. L.
Nice food, ambience, service and reasonable priced
K. C.
Really enjoyed dinner here! The food was absolutely great (loved the Octopus rice, Cauliflower and chickpea salad) and our waitress was so sweet. The decor is nice also. Only downside is that it was very noisy and it was at times difficult to carry out a conversation. But this place is all about food anyway ;-)
J. L.
5/5. Tastes like if Nando's earned a Michelin star
R. R.
Very tasty rice and the grilled chicken in amazing. But the best is the almond cake. It is insane! The portions are big and the priced are really affordable considering that the restaurant is located in central London. Cozy venue with very elegant decoration
P. S.
Brilliant find. Great food, great service and with the sun out a great setting.
A.
-Nice atmosphere
-Service was good
-Not many options - Main dish is chicken
-No bookings needed between 6pm and 8.30pm - you just walk in - this is for Sunday as that's when we visited - not sure about the rest of the week
-Some vegetarian options
M. F.
Last Friday I went with my brother and a friend for dinner at Casa do Frango. I must say that the food was delicious, the atmosphere of the place was really nice, and the customer service provided by Maria De Jesus was excellent. Maria has a lovely approach; she recommended good option without being pushy. The overall experience was magnificent. I would definitely recommend anyone to go for a dining experience at Casa do Frango.
A. M.
Really lovely place and amazing food but service was quite slow and made the experience quite stressful as it was hard to get served 😔
G. M.
Very warm ambience and great food. Highly recommended!
J. R.
Cool space, tasty food, and a lively environment this place is a great spot for some delicious chicken and other Portuguese fare.
Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz
M. P.
Loved the food and the ambience here. I had a sangria and it was good too. Would definitely visit again!
R. P.
Loved it! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and brilliant food....the most succulent piri piri chicken and a host of delicious side dishes, followed by a melt in the mouth pastel de nata. Couldn't fault it
E. M.
I hugely enjoyed the delicious food and lively atmosphere the first time I ate here so I was preparing myself for a likely let down, so positive we’re my memories of the previous time. However, incredibly enough, it was even better. Divine food, service was delightful, the set up and decorations are superbly done, a definite must as far as dining in London goes, number one pick for an unforgettable evening! I cannot recommend Casa do Frango enough.
P.
100 times better than a Nandos. Very genuine and chicken was just perfect.
A. F.
Lovely meal - food great and our server (Ariana) was lovely. Succulent chicken and the African rice was v tasty. Cinnamon Nata with ice cream was delicious.
NOTE: the management keep card tips here.
SHOCKING AND SHAMEFUL.
Leave a cash tip so the staff actually get it!
C. M.
Superb food, amazing service, amazing space.....
The food is the star In this well designed venue that works for large groups as well as couples. Soaring ceilings and light filled space.
Cannot go wrong with the food, explodes with mediterranean flavours.
Well thought out menu, choices are obvious. Amazing list of starters. My faves were the grilled chorizo, prawns and the octopus rice but the star is the chicken - we were a large group so tried all three flavours - awesome.
No issues with the service, coped with our large group very well, particularly Manuel who seemed to move at the speed of light.
An added bonus is the intimate bar space in a separate room. Quiet cozy romantic space.
Put Casa Do Frango on your to do list in London. Big shout out to the chef, service staff and the owners.
F. B.
Beautiful interior - make sure to ask to sit upstairs. The piripiri chicken is delicious, as are all the sides and small plates. Unexpected highlight was the roasted cauliflower. A lovely meal!
H. D.
Fantastic restaurant. Nice succulent chicken. Essentially an upmarket nandos. Took my partner here for Valentine’s Day and she loved it. Booking is essential.
T. D.
Excellent Portuguese peri peri chicken. The whole dining experience was good from the food to the service. For the starters i would recommend their grilled chourico, for the main of course the peri peri chicken with the arroz de tomato rice, arroz africano rice (which had some extra crunchy chicken skin?), finished off with a pastel da nata with coffee ice cream.
s. i.
Lively and reasonable authentic Portuguese restaurant. Great building, area, service and atmosphere, if anything, it can get very tight when busy and loud, but it also brings the authentic Portuguese atmosphere of enjoying food and wine. We had 4 dishes and 1 dessert and a drink each and came to £60 inc service which is great for what it is and its prime location. Perfect for casual tapas dining and dates. The only negative is the side dish chips, it was too basic, like almost McDonald's.. Not high end, or trendy, but I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area with friends for cosy and tasty food.
Highly recommended.

First visit to this Portuguese Restaurant, main meal is pirri pirri chicken accompanied by your choice of rices, chips, salads
There is a good selection of starters, and you must have the pastel de nata for afters.
Friendly and attentive staff, good covid procedures
G. C.
Amazing food and perfect even for gluten free customer

Really gorgeous interiors with big bright windows, exposed bricks and handing plants. Many tables are nice long sharing tables and the staff are super on it with very attentive service. The food is sharing plates of portugese food and the drinks are great too. An added bonus is the secret cocktail bar at the back which is incredibly cosy with a really good vibe.
W. S.
Really good tapas. The cauliflower was so tasty! Chicken was also very good. Staff where very nice. Spilt my beer and they cleaned up and bought me a new one within seconds with no extra charge! Will be coming back :) .

Visiting with my Portuguese GF, so standards were high! But the food was familiar with an interesting twist - tasted fantastic. Service was great, so was the decor and everything else about the place. Went to the Shoreditch branch.... Make sure you have a glass of the 1999 vintage port.. God damn 🤤🤤🤤 Had 3 in the end!
J. M.
Simple but very tasty food, a great alternative to Nandos if you fancy something less chainy. The restaurant itself is very pretty. High ceilings with draping plants and lots of light. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food arrived quickly and tasted great. Some of the soft drinks were a little expensive though. Bench seating, although looking nice, is a little awkward to get in to and out of when other people are trying to eat.
C. L.
Food is great! Been a few times and had the sangria to drink which is also lovely. Great service too
M. K.
It was a long day and I was tired but I could not resist but giving London’s food scene a quick visit. 😊 I kinda like to have a sit down when the restaurant just opens and you see the place come to life with all guests arriving. I enjoyed the buzz in this place... The service was fantastic, hence, I felt comfortable very quickly. The menu has the perfect size not to overwhelm anyone and let’s be honest: if you don’t have the piri-piri chicken then... “What is wrong with you!?” 🙈😅 That was a really nice dinner!! I actually had a portuguese friend sending the chef kudos from the looks of it so I’d say it was an authentic experience. 👌🏼😁
M. M.
The Peri-Peri Chicken is just so good, flavourful with background heat, unlike the blast you with chili heat approach that other high street chains take.
Chicken was perfectly cooked too.
Tasty sides and a good wine selection.
Staff were attentive and the decor is very vibey. Its a really fun place to eat tgreat, affordable food.
J. W.
Fantastic, food and service are great. Very light airy restaurant.
V. P.
Food is fantastic, they got a nice Bar to wait until your table is ready.
M. M.
I really liked the food here, the chicken is tasty and there's a good selection of small plates to add some variety. It's hard to avoid comparing it to Nando's but it does feel like an upscale Nando's and that's not a bad thing. The bar round the back is pretty nice and looks like it has a good selection of cocktails, though I didn't try them myself.
It does seem like it can get very busy, even on a weekday evening so it seems like it would be wise to book a table. Speaking of which, I found our table was super sticky and our bench nearly collapsed. Despite that I still enjoyed it and would go again.
S. S.
Super delicious, beautiful restaurant and just love the fact that we had a round table!
J. V.
Great staff and excellent food! Felt like home to me.
Had a great birthday dinner tonight. Despite technical issues out of the management’s control, our service was handled professionally. Will 💯 be back! Keep up the great work 🎉
L. O.
What a beautiful building! Stunning food, lovely communal tables, good atmosphere. Still felt intimate, not too crowded. Cute, gloomy cocktail bar at the back, behind a curtain, to wait for a table. I only wish my waiter had known more of the history of the building, it looks so interesting. A Grade A place. Go.
S. D.
We’ve been to Casa Do Frango many times since the borough branch has been open and have always been treated to a fantastic meal. What can I say, best chicken this side of town! Think Nando’s but fresh, bursting with flavour and a character you just don’t get from the Piri-Piri high street chain. Staff are always delightful and attentive, during our last visit we had a mix up with the CODE hospitality app. The staff we’re quick to acknowledge, address and organise a alternative to our situation. We all left with big (full) smiles on our faces. It’s a must for all Piri fans!
Z. E.
Amazing authentic Portuguese food! A must try if you are in the area. Reasonable prices too!
C. G.
Nice ambiance, tasty chicken. Try Portuguese wines as well.
G. L.
Wowza! Great atmosphere filled with chatter. Friendly staff and attentive service. Varied and exciting menu. Food standard is high with their signature chicken cooked moist and tender with a crisp to the skin. Trendy, exposed brick, industrial decor matched with bright green foliage. Also a beautiful secret bar tucked away in the back! Would recommend.
J. S.
Food was reasonably priced and really nice. There was a good wine selection and staff were really friendly. Really enjoyed my visit here, I'll definitely be back again!
S. M.
Relished and loved everything i ordered.
Piri Chicken, Chorizo, pork belly, montanheira Salad (fresh) and fries.
Good service, food preparation was quick and the place smelled great!
Would definitely recommend and return, it lived up to all my expectations.
R. L.
Beautiful place, kid friendly and air con which helped with the heat.
Staff were great, food was delicious if maybe a tiny bit too oily but maybe that's how it's supposed to be. There is a tall stairwell to climb so watch out if your movement is impaired or you have a large pram (staff kindly helped to lift the pram for us).
J. D.
Delicious crispy chicken and the African rice was great, with little pieces of crispy chicken skin in it. Never seen that before and it works! The place was very loud as there seemed to be live music downstairs. The staff were a bit disorganised- we were served by about 4 different people and had to wait ages to order or ask for the bill.
A. B.
Highly recommend - good piri piri chicken in London!
G. W.
Food was really tasty, shame about the tiny portions. Especially when the waiter keeps grabbing every plate before youre finished. Lovely ambiance, space really cool. Has potential to be great. Chorizo is a must but get one for yoself. Peri chicken bangs. Just get enough food basically.
R. M.
It was a lovely cosy place. With friendly staff and food was served at a good time. For a Saturday, it was busy but they handled it well. Apparently there's also a green room, which I wanted to go, but think it was closed as we were there late night.. All in all, as a Portuguese, I can say you get a Portuguese taste with a Portuguese vibe.
F. F.
Going back for sure. Had the piri chicken, fries, 2 salads over lunch. All worth having again. I think the chicken can be cooked possibly a min less to avoid getting too dry but the taste was just perfect!!!! No complaints.
L. S.
Food is always delicious and tasty
. Sangria wasn't the best I ever had. Service very good.
K. a.
Lovely restaurant for both couples and small groups serving really good quality food in a place with nice ambience..Felt quite cosy here.
The service was fantastic and we really felt taken care of.. Sabin, our waiter, was very diligent and prompt. He took his time to explain the various dishes and recommendations.
Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be returning again.
D. V.
This restaurant specialises in bbq chicken. I liked the interiors and the food. Some of the sides and starters were really good, the chicken I thought was good but not exceptional. There is a great selection of wines and drinks. On our visit the service was remarkably slow and that was very disappointing. Moreover, it is a very noisy place.
M. M.
Amazing place that serves up delicious Portuguese food. the menu is super and so are the cocktails. They use port wine as a base which makes for some amazing flavours. The decor is lovely as well and friendly staff.
M. “. P.
I found out about Casa do Frango on Secret London and we went along as it seemed interesting. Definitely better than Nandos which it was compared to! A good range of dishes for sharing.
Bookings are taken for the early or late slots, with a number of tables held for walk ins. I would definitely visit again.
H. C.
Amazing food, staff and interior! Highly recommend!!
f. b.
The food is a modern twist on the traditional Portuguese cuisine, everything tastes very fresh and well seasoned (especially the Octupus rice) overall i really enjoyed the food. Atmosphere is lovely waiters are 5* and location is ideal.
The only thing that isnt authentic here is the portion sizes -1*. Everyone who has been to Portugal or is familiar with the cuisine knows Portuguese food = great taste and quantity. They have encorperated Spanish style tapas which goes against everything a Portuguese restaurant should be. I will definetely return however not as frequently as i would like due to the poor value for money in terms of portion sizes. If your drinking alcohol expect to pay about £30 pp (£4 for a Pastel de Nata :O ) and leave on a half full stomach.
My tip: if your on a budget lets say £15 pp your better off going to a Portuguese restaurant in little Portugal (Stockwell/Vauxhall) 20 min away on the northern line, there you will leave on a fuller stomach with the same food at half the price.
P. B.
Very rarely leave reviews on Google, but Casa do Frango is worth the effort.
Ordered 7 different dishes and all were excellent - perfectly cooked, presented and all bursting with taste.
Staff were chilled but attentive and couldn't have been more helpful when asked.
Had such a nice time that prices didn't really matter, but when the bill came I was even impressed with that - super reasonable.
The space (a converted warehouse partly in the railway arches off Southwark Street) was gorgeous and mood-lifting.
Couldn't say enough good things about this place but it has made me remember what it feels like to have an enjoyable, tasty dining experience for a reasonable price - something that is increasingly rare in London.
J. H.
Tasty, colourful fresh tasting food with lots of vegan options, not just for the carnivors! Great atmosphere and setting, walking distance to both Borough Market and London Bridge! Always busy so you must book!
G. B.
Best meal I've had in London, delicious food lovely staff
A. M.
Delicious food and speedy service, but limited options on the menu and small portion sizes
R. D.
Great tasting food! Our order on deliveroo was missing items, however the general manager booked an Uber to deliver us the missing items immediately - within 15mins we had our missing food, with a pastel de nata as a special gift - an example of great customer service! Thanks and would order there again!
s. m.
Gorgeous spot, reasonable drinks, very instagrammable but my GOD the food is amazing. The African and green rice were delicious and the oregano chicken was insanely good. Walk ins only at peak times but we booked for 9.30 as came from an exhibition at Tate Late. Perfect for that as en route from there to London bridge station. Can't reccomend enough and check out the speak easy in the back!
M. S.
Amazing food, big portions, good prices. The croquettes and chorizo are insane. The chicken is flavourful, and my favourite was the African rice, it’s just amazing. Great service!
V. B.
Loved the ambience, the service from our waiter was A-star but some other staff weren't..The food did take awhile but it was quite busy. The African rice is too good, definitely recommend getting it.
E.
Fist of all the ambience is great. Great atmosphere, decor and choice of music. Both the restaurant and the hidden bar are cured in detail and lool great. The food was really good too. The piri piri chicken was delicious. Also the grilled chorizo was a lust for palate. Prices are adequate for the area and the food. Maybe I would have liked to save a pound on each dish if anything. The service was prompt and quick. Friendly staff. Welcome is always a strong point when at the door there is a pretty lady with a genuine smile on her face. Really happy to have been and will very likely come back soon.
R. C.
The starters were very nice, particularly the cauliflower with a green sauce and nuts and the Chorizo had a great flavour to it.
While the chicken was very moist and also crispy, it was a bit on the small side, but the real the let down here for me personally was the Peri Peri really lacked the kick of heat that I prefer. The garlic chicken smelt very nice. And the Pastel Del Nata for dessert was very nice. I'd go again to try the chicken in different ways, and the venue is quite smart and the service was very quick and very friendly. Also a nice little cocktail bar tucked behind which had a great feel to it, however the cocktails were pretty average I found for the price.
Worth checking out if you're in the area, and makes a change from nandos.
p. k.
Authentic peri peri chicken you find in Portugal, the prawns were amazing, I strongly recommend coming here.
A. S.
No social distancing. Seats were really close. And poor ventilation, all the windows were shut when we visited. So noisy. Although service was a bit slow but staff were friendly and food was overall good
M. B.
Nice enough. The crushed olive stone in the salt cod salad probably wasn’t meant to be there (?) and wasn’t great for my teeth. The octopus rice was a little undercooked for Portuguese style cooking (but maybe trendy in Italian risotto?)
But the food was generally good and offered a bit of a contemporary cosmopolitan twist to traditional Portuguese cooking.
The vinho verde was very good.
I know not every place needs to be child-friendly, but if you do have small children be aware that you’ll have to lug your pushchairs and children up a fairly steep flight of stairs. They really need a lift, or at least an arrangement with the bar downstairs to store pushchairs.
That said this place probably doesn’t really intend to cater to families, which is fair enough.
As for wheelchair access though... ouch.
M. M.
the food was really good, I don't give 5 stars cause we received vinho verde warm and changed for a super bock extra cold 🙌
D. S.
Chicken and sides are delicious and great for sharing. Coffee ice cream and chocolate mousse are really good too. Only thing I would say is the portions are a bit small so if you’re hungry order more!
C. G.
I know the name means chicken house... but it’s a Portuguese restauran, I expected more than only one main, and few starters. If you want to go a Portuguese restaurant o would go to another one.
Staff, profesional, lovely and friendly. All the COVID measures in place.
H. S.
Loud, lively and lots of fun. Perfect for large groups as the sharing plates make it impossible not to talk to people around you, even if they are your relatives. The chicken plates were excellent (though half a chicken disappears faster than you'd think.) Don't miss the black rice.
B. H.
The food was fantastic, especially the chicken which was packed with flavour! The prices are to be expected for the quality and if you're a wine lover (like me) go for the vini verde, it's gorgeous. I'll most definitely be returning soon.
S. K.
Food here is pretty great. Everything we ordered was spot on and really tasty, so I would come again just for that. However, the service is suspect. Turn up at peak time on a Saturday night and you'll be told to wait an hour, which is totally understandable. What's not fine is that you get whisked into a bar with other waiting customers - a bar that is really expensive (think beers for £7...). That practice soured what was a solid meal. Service is lacking during the meal too, with waiters overly eager to snatch whatever plates they can from your table at any moment. BUT the food is worth going for if you can stand that minor irritance.
R. D.
The chicken is nothing like I've ever tried before, its simply amazing. The menu selection is concise but every single item on the menu is worthy of praise.
The hidden gem (cocktail bar) is a true treat for the senses. Very ambient, smells heavenly and drinks selection divine.
Thats not all - the friendliness and engagement of every staff member goes to show they arent just there to earn a living, its incomprehensible passion for the place food and drink.
Definitely be returning without a doubt!
Top tip: Must try the african rice, grilled cauliflower and the house salad.
J. S. G.
A really nice restaurant and space, and friendly staff, and although the food is amazing, the portions are becoming smaller and therefore, a regular meal is becoming increasingly more expensive. Part of the Portuguese tradition also lays in a generous meal. I do not expect that to happen at all time in London, but it would be a shame to turn this amazing restaurant into some kind of "nouvelle-cuisine" thing and extortionate prices. (A small/regular meal with drinks and dessert gets very quickly beyond £40 pp.) But apart from this, it is a recommendable experience with a lovely cosy-secret bar at the back!
L. M.
If you get one takeout during lockdown, make it this! The food was out of this world and the communications with the restaurant (in particular manager Evandro!) exceeded all usual expectations. Thank you so much for making the best chicken in London by far and bringing sunshine to any grey lockdown day! Can't wait to visit you when you reopen.
K.
Great friendly staff and the most amazing pork and prawns I have ever had !!!. Unfortunately i fell Ill just before the main course cam out so I couldn't enjoy the chicken but was absolutely amazing when it came to the share plates. Would 100% reccomend.
R. G.
Amazing Portuguese style grilled chicken. Definitely recommend it.
J. M.
A lovely bright restaurant, hidden upstairs next to the train line. Once settled in, great smells of the fantastic chargrilled chicken waft around. Staff are attentive and selection of food and drinks is great. Relatively quite when visited, but was only Monday but good lunchtime location.
A. S.
Great chicken but their sauce could use some work.
S.
Love this restaurant, it's my new favorite in London! Quick and wonderful staff who helped me choose all their favorites. I've been bringing my friends and each has had a fantastic experience.
I will surely be visiting again so soon.
A. A.
Food was so good! The chicken and the African rice were my favourites. We had chicken, rice, cauliflower (which was huge and delicious!) fritters and sangria
G.
I'm amazed how chicken can be so tender and juicy after being out on the grill. I've never tasted piri piri chicken this good! I'm sure everyone raves about the chicken, so let's not forget the sides! The cauliflower steak, moist and light, so good it was gone in seconds. The African rice, off the roof! And don't get me started on the grilled prawns, so fresh and succulent! To make everything much better, the staff were attentive and made sure that you are comfortable throughout your meal, so kudos to them. Nandos needs to move over.
D. B.
Inventive, contemporary Portuguese cuisine, though the main draw, the piri piri chicken, is tried and true. Delicious! The interior is elegant and modern, with light yellows and greens, built into the side of a railway arch. Excellent choice of Portuguese wines. Shall return!
J. A.
This is the place I'd bring my family and friends to if they were visiting me in London! Entrance might look closed, but you just have to push (or pull?) really hard on the door and go upstairs. Price is normal for London, waiter was very nice and funny, and the place has got a beautiful warehouse/rustic/classy design.
N. P.
Better than Nandos! Highly recommended this place! Esp good if you're on a Keto diet.
A. F.
Authentic Portuguese menu and very cozy atmosphere inside.
Slightly hard to find though, as from the ousite the venue looks more like a place that has been closed down, note that the restaurant is actually on the first floor.
Although undercover, it is worth visiting and it is very appreciated by the Portuguese moving to London!
L. L.
Wonderful place! Amazing food even if they offer a small menu it is delicious and filling! Not expensive and lovely staff!
C. B.
A nice place to go for dinner with a good atmosphere. The cocktail bar at the back was great. Food was pretty average but good value for money. Overall a good place to drop in for a casual dinner if you are in the area.
J. D. M.
This was as good as it gets for an early dinner! The service was excellent, the food was delicious, the upstairs room is beautiful and the price was amazing with the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme.
L. S.
Rustic atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious food. If you want to experience authentic Portuguese food this is the place to go.
P. S.
Casa do Frango is my favourite find of the last few years. The chicken is absolutely delicious as are all the starters and sides. The atmosphere is fantastic with a high ceiling, lots of light and a great crowd. Couldn't recommend this place higher!!!
E. B.
Great food, great service, good music beautiful venue. The additional green room bar makes for a very pleasant evening out. Good one for date nights.
J. P.
Tapas is an uncivilised, lazy way to eat. It is to good dining what twitter is to a good book. Nonetheless, the 'small plates' plonked randomly on your table will actually be delicious. That's by the by though. Non-shit tapas may be a novelty in London but it's hardly a justification for visiting the place. What makes it worth going here is the excellent, and I do mean excellent cocktail bar tucked away at the back. If this establishment either served grown-up meals, or stayed open until 2am I'd give it five stars. Sadly it does neither.
A.
Been twice and the foods great, but the FOH are such a mess. Forget about you, forget things you ordered, take 15-20 mins to ask for drink orders, forget to bring the bill. Happened on both occasions. Find myself pushing them several times.
But yeah, foods great.
K. Y.
What a genuine restaurant. Food was authentic and amazing. Service was spectacular. Was out with my colleagues for Eid lunch and was approached by I believed the manager and proceed to wished me Happy eid. Warm service. Recommend it highly but be sure to book as it can get busy!
N. A.
Been here several times now, the bar and restaurant are both great for dates, catch-ups with friends and even groups. The instagrammable interiors are reason enough to go, but the real winner is the food. There are few restaurants I go back to more than once, and this is one of them.
S. R.
Fabulous building along with extraordinary food - very rustic styling and good acoustics adding to the atmosphere. The food is on another level. Some might call it an up-market Nandos, I call food utopia. They know their stuff about chicken and omg it's amazing.
o. a.
Aside from the amazing side bar and food available, I have to comment on the staff and the hospitality shown to us today. We had an unfortunate order mix up and I was genuinely touched by the empathy and compassion shown by the staff in rectifying the situation. Cannot recommend highly enough if you ever want to visit.
J. C.
Extremely overpriced and the food is truly not that good. Despite being named as Portuguese the chicken is far from how it is cooked in Portugal and almost none of the sides are Portuguese. The only thing close is the Super Bock, brilliantly served
A.
Delicious and tasty food with very reasonable pricees. I will definitely go again! Note: they don't take seat reservations between 6-9pm.
E. R. M.
Tiny portions! The service at Casa do Frango is probably one of the best I have seen in London, they are friendly, professional and helpful. The speakeasy bar at the back makes any wait an enjoyable experience but the portions are tiny for the price and the restaurant is incredibly loud.
P. D.
A really enjoyable afternoon. Great food and wine with friendly professional service. I will be going back.
L. F.
Great venue with a relaxed atmosphere. The chicken was tender with crispy and flavorful skin. If you enjoy spicy flavours I would recommdend you try the freshly prepared piri piri sauce. Loved the African rice as well.
A. T.
Briiliant food...limited menu but what they do have is really tasty, well cooked and presented.
Good service from friendly helpful staff and reasonably priced.
Gets very busy so definitely book.
2 mins from London Bridge.
M. C.
Good vibes and tasty menu. Also good location close to London Bridge and the River.
A. E.
Nice chicken and pork ribs. Don't give the 5* as when we arrived there were plenty of available tables and they told us we could only have dinner at the bar. No one came after we arrive and there were all the time we were there 5 free tables. We found that dissapointing.
E.
Food here tasted great but their sharing platers are certainly not for sharing (you only got 4 large prawns and they regard this as ‘sharing’) The chicken is a good size and tastes similar to that of Nando’s. Nice decor and lovely staff.
V. A.
The food was amazing and delicious, however the staff was super rude and they were rushing us to finish our food. We kept being rushed and we just ended up leaving because the service was horrendous
S.
A lovely little restaurant, the food was good but a little salty for my taste. I had the peri peri chicken with the african rice ( rice with garden green peas, chicken skin, chorizo and plantain) I would reccomend and would go again, I would also advise to book in advance as it is pretty busy
S. D.
I've just been to the Centrepoint branch, and it was FANTASTIC! The Piri piri chicken in particular was to die for. Alice the manager was also super friendly, which made a speedy lunch on my own a real pleasure as I sat at the bar happily chatting to her whilst stuffing my face. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
P. S.
Amazing little bar round the back if you need to wait for a table. The food is incredible, especially considering how affordable it is. Very relaxed vibe, simple understated decor
C. S.
Fantastic food & service. Starters to die for, best peri peri chicken I've ever tasted & incredible rice.
Don't leave without squeezing in a pastel de nata.
Divine!
S. A.
Cool atmosphere with nice service and Nando's concept improved by 100 times!!! Don't forget to ask for the rice as a side dish, sooooo tasty!!! (The fries have nothing especial, the only disappointing thing). Enjoy!
A. C.
Great authentic Portuguese food. The staff is very friendly and we had an overall great experience. The shrimp piri piri and African rice were standouts. Will be back for sure.
J. C.
Absolutely amazing food and service. Quick to get a table. It was quite busy but they offered to text you when a table was available or seat you at the dining bar.
M. N.
Amazing food. Dispiste reviews stating that portions were quite small for price, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. Portuguese food with a twist of African. A must visit.
S. P.
Nice food, good atmosphere.
R. S.
I went there for my Birthday with my family and had a really good time.
K. V.
Friendly staff but the food was a bit disappointing
P. S.
Very loud but trendy restaurant bar. We only had snacks (fine) so I cannot comment on the menu. Reserve ahead because it gets full.
S. C.
Lovely atmosphere, excellent staff (incredibly friendly) and good food. Must have the Pastel De Nata with cinnamon!
G. N.
Very nice chicken and wine selection. Portions could be bigger for the price.
M. P.
Reasonable, friendly staff and good food
J. S.
Went for a drink with a few friends and stumbled across this place - how lucky! Staff were incredible, so friendly and had the perfect recommendations. Definitely try the whitebait if you want a bite to eat.
J. G.
The best Portuguese chicken I have ever had. An authentic menu and authentic food- love the simplicity of it. Will be coming back again and again. I can not recommend this place enough!!!
S. R.
Best grilled chicken you can eat !
H. S.
Delicious food, great for sharing + groups (basically a posh Nandos). Despite not being able to pre book, the quirky bar at the back is ideal for pre or post drinks. Highly recommend!
J. T.
Nice food, super quick service
J. G.
This is closest I've got to tasting Algarve Piri Piri in the UK. Used to go to Portugal every year when I was younger. Drive up to the monchique in the Algarve and near the top of the mountain, stop off at a restaurant for authentic Piri Piri. If you crave that Portuguese food authenticity and being affordable - Casa do Frango is where it's at. Great place!.
M. B.
Absolutely amazing venue with some of the greatest staff in the world. Fun, entertaining and in a great mood. Made our stay very pleasant and unforgettable. 6/5
p. f.
Great service and food and the staff are suberb
M. C.
Authentic, flavourful and juicy chicken, incredible side dishes (African rice!!!) and desserts that satisfy your sweet cravings! An absolute must try located just around the corner from London Bridge and Borough Market.
A. P.
Simply amazing - so tasty food
S. C.
Nice and fancy environment, but a bit too expensive.
D. M.
If you're looking for the real Portuguese piri piri chicken, this is the place. Truly the tastier chicken I've had in London! Fresh ingredients, tender chicken, crispy skin, great ambience and super friendly staff. Will definitely come back.
Z. R.
Simple menu. Nice sharing plates, good for larger groups.
J. M.
Don't miss out on the secret cocktail bar!
C. S. (.
Great food, amazing staff. Thank you to Nicole for arranging our booking and to Claire. They were both extremely friendly and professional
E. J.
My favourite place to eat in London! Food is always amazing and service is great!
C. V.
Food was absolutely delicious and service was good. Could have been a little friendlier when seating us and got my drink order wrong but overall great experience and would definitely return.
C. R.
I love this place, 5 stars for the chicken and atmosphere inside. The 4-star review is the result of the sharing plates, sides and cocktails choice not being wide enough.
C. P.
Food was lovely, service was efficient. The only thing it was too loud and I could not hear my friend. So it is better to go there for a quick meal.
S. B.
Frango was brilliant, excellent food. Only concern was the Batatis Fritas, appeared to be frozen French fries.. Not "hand cut". But overall would highly recommend
F. A.
Very authentic food. Wasnt a fan of the lemon and garlic chicken but the piri piri made up for it. Patatas fries were very tasty. Dining space is a bit cramped.
A. M.
Nice selection of tapas style food. The menu is relatively small but the food tastes great. Nice selection of beer, wine and cocktails
H. B.
Authentic Portuguese piri piri taste and deliciously tender chicken. Surprise dish was the african rice with the crispy chicken skin, need more of that! Prawns and chorizo were disappointing to say the least however.
M. K.
Lovely industrial setting, and atmosphere. My girlfriend loved it. A bit of a posh nandos, the chicken is actually different in taste as they grill it over charcoal
X. M.
Absolutely amazing!!
Great food, great costumer service, very friendly staff and "wow food"
Congratulations to the chef and to the management.
Thank you so much!!
J. P.
Best piri-piri chicken in London 🤯🤩
M. K.
Lovely food and great, friendly service at a really good price.
J. D.
Great laid back restaurant with a secret bar at the back of the restaurant which offers delicious cocktails. The food is tasty and affordable!
L. F.
4th time there so must be a good sign. Yes, a limited menu but has been excellent every time. Great atmosphere, great food, good service.
c. c.
Wonderful food great service, good value.
K. K.
Not my favourite place, the space is very trendy open and inviting. The food lacked oomph and saltyness. I felt like the sides overpowered the chicken (frango) itself and it wasn't spicy with the peri peri.
A. F.
Fantastic meal .. the peri peri chicken was mouth watering and I particularly liked the African rice with plantain, chorizo etc an eruption of flavours. Top recipe. Thank you!!
C. M.
Lovely selection of food and super bock on draft is lovely.
H. G.
Unbelievable Piri Piri chicken, I felt like I was in the Algarve. So happy they're on WalkIn, joined the queue from my phone and grabbed a great table. Can't wait to go back.
N. P.

The delivery was prompt and the food DELICIOUS! The African rice and the bacalhau fritters were especially tasty! Loved it!

Lovely room and staff were friendly. Chicken was a bit dry. Can get very noisy with large parties.

Tasty moist Portuguese chicken better than Nandos. Large casual but cool warehouse space which makes it good for catchups with groups of friends.

Incredible venue, amazing food, it was only let down by the slow staff. Whenever they did approach you they were incredibly friendly and attentive, but the services was painfully slow.
