Came for the first time and tried bacon waffles and an iced caramel latte. Staff were polite and friendly. The interior is a little small and “rustic” inside, which personally wasn’t really my taste. Food and drinks were great though :) However, would have preferred my drink served in a glass rather than unnecessary plastic

The place is tiny and the queue is long. BUT the food is amazingly delicious, the smoothies are creative and the ice cream creamy! The staff is super friendly too! Definitely recommended.

I had such an amazing experience! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and offered the best service. I had a crepe and coffee served by a lovely lady who I believe was the supervisor, which was extremely delicious and tickled my taste buds. I would absolutely recommend this cafe.

The space inside is what it is, not particularly comfortable to be honest. A complete reorganization of the bar and internal setup would greatly benefit the consuming-inside experience. Ice cream, crepes and service where really nice though. Recommended.

I went once in this coffee shop and I can't wait to go back there! I love the interior design and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I got a matcha latte and a croissant and the quality was very good!

The crepes were delicious, we have ordered two different flavours and both were very nice. I cannot say the same thing about the coffee. It was served in take away cups even if we ate in , the cinnamon latte has to strong cinnamon flavour. Very busy place by the way .

We took our daughter to this delight of a place and it did not disappoint! We are a vegan family so had sorbets & crepe with fruit. The sorbet is absolutely stunning, perfect treat, also conveniently closely located to the heath so can go for a stroll or enjoy on the outdoor terrace... Eden and the staff are attentive and work so swiftly to serve with a smile ***** (guest flavour of yuzu was my favourite flavour!

Poor service and very disorganized. Too many people behind the counter and not even one table was clean. My latte was barely warm but they rectify that immediately. We didn't have crepes but they looked amazing

Pretty little shop that serves lunch and ice cream. Had some ice cream today as the weather was hot and everyone had same idea so there was a queue in a cramped area, not ideal. The ice cream was partially melted too. However, they were very tasty.

I’ve been getting coffee most weekends at this little place and the coffee is always delicious! However, when I tried to order crepes on two occasions, my order took 20mins to be prepared and in the end was burnt. I came back another time to try again and had a similar experience. Staff were defensive and rude about it, so unfortunately it’s put me off going here again

Madeleine's became the crown jewel of Blackheath Village the moment it opened. Amazing food and coffee that has never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and always make us feel welcome. They also have amazing ice cream which they make on-site that come in a variety of interesting flavours (on top of the more obvious). Madeleine's has long been our weekend regular.

Lovely for breakfast or ice cream. Great choice of crepe toppings (both sweet and savoury available) with gluten free options available. The servings are a very decent size. I don't quite understand the large handful of rocket, but that's fairly easy to push to the side! The ice cream is delicious: all the standard flavours plus changing specials. The ice cream can also be purchased in tubs to take home.

We have been going since this place opened. First of all the food, ice cream, coffees are very great and we have never been disappointed. Where it does fall sometimes is the service- sometimes it’s great and other times very different. We went twice in two days. (Not busy at all on both occasions) First time - great - food good service great (even got a drink for our dog). Second time quite annoying. No offer for a water for the dog (no real big deal). The annoying part is that we sat and ate food/coffee and when asking for take away ice cream we were unable to buy. We wanted 3 scoops and not 5 scoops. So the staff were unwilling to provide a suitable container as we were not buying 5 scoops. Were is the common sense. It’s only a container but they were quite adamant that we would only receive a suitable container if we bought 5 scoops which to be honest is too much for our family so I just left it. I was walking back which takes 20-30mins and the ice cream would have melted. Again the food is great and but a lot of improvement can be made in service area.

What a place! The crepes and waffles are to die for, wonderful authentic French flavours, just like being on a backstreet of Paris. They make ice cream on site and they are just superb, not to be missed, even if it’s a cold day! I recommend the pistachio flavour. Lovely friendly staff and owners too. Would love it if they started accepting the Lewisham Local discount card too...? :)

Update on 29/7: great management response to the incidence described below. Mistakes can happen, it's all about how to deal with them and improve! We tried the ice cream and is delicious, definitely among the best we have tried in London. Great service from Yann, who is truly committed to offering the best customer experience Previous comment: We went there on a Sunday at 7:50, and they said they were closing, because of the weather (even though it was a fairly summer evening in August, quite rare to be honest). Website and Google says Sundays are open till 9 pm. Please update your schedule

Favourite caf in Blackheath by a long shot. Great coffee, great ice cream - the rotating flavours are always incredible - and lovely people who always make us feel so welcome (special shoutout to Sophie and Eden, who are super lovely). When my parents visit England, that's where they get taken for breakfast every time!

Cosy intimate cafe, popped in for tea & cake. Excellent customer service from Theo. Great fresh custard tart (although limited range of cakes). The reason I have taken 1 star off is because there was a very noisy & chaotic kids party going on in there - it's also an ice cream parlour.

Enjoyed a savour crepe last Saturday and I just cant fault anything. I love to cook and I also eat out a lot - I enjoy quality and dislike being disappointed with food when I am out. but damn.....(the damn is needed folks) this place is now spacious, too cramped before - and I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have with a menu of that size. The crepe was divine, perfect in fact. I can't fault, the service, food, quality and quantity bang on. Plus the room to move..made this my new favourite spot in Blackheath. I would tend to agree with others on coffees and sweets but savoury crepes are really below average. The paste is sweet! It shouldn't be - a savoury crepe should be done with sarasin flour and the ingredients inside are cold (clearly not cooked long enough to blend the tastes)

(Translated) A very small independent cafeteria but if you have a place outside, it gets the sun in the afternoon and it is very good. Their crepes and waffles are great, no matter the sweets or the salty ones. They do them very well. In addition the dependents are quite friendly and friendly. The only problem is that being so small is sometimes difficult to have a place! (Original) Una cafetería independiente muy pequeña pero si tienes sitio fuera, le da el sol de la tarde y se está muy bien. Sus crepes y gofres son buenísimos, da igual los dulces o los salados. Los hacen muy bien. Además los dependientes son bastante amables y simpáticos. El único problema es que al ser tan pequeña a veces es difícil tener sitio!!!
