This is the place to go if you have sweet tooth (like my hubby). Portions are massive, there's an option to have hot drinks made with no dairy milk and service is good even though is a bit slower but that's only because it takes time to make all of these freak shakes and pancakes. Thumbs up from me and my family 👍

Run by 2 lovely ladies, very helpful, always busy and very artistic with the presentation of the Sunday's and waffles. A lively little cafe tucked away in the northern Quarter. Also great choice of 80's music (when we week there) to sing along to while your tucking in to your favourite flavour.

Ticked off another place I’ve been meaning to literally try for years!! Visited @blackmilk which is based in northern quarter around a 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station… 📍 88 Oldham St, Manchester M4 1LF…The menu is actually quite small compared to their Instagram (attached picture) we ordered A ‘KINDERELLA Pancake’ this was £10:95, we shared this between two people it was 10/10 very large potion sizes too. Would 100% go back again for this 🤤 the place also have charging sockets on their tables if you need to charge your phone.. defo recommend this place 🤙🏽

The pancakes were super fluffy and paired perfectly with the Bueno topping. Originally didn’t have sauce between the layers but they were happy to squirt some more on for us. TOPPINGS: Hazelnut sauce, Nutella, Bueno pieces, brownie bites, whipped cream and vanilla ice cream

Went to Black Milk on a friends recommendation and was not disappointed! We decided to go for a ‘freak shake’ each which were insane (in a good way). If you are a sweet fan you will love these, you get a massive slab of cheese cake as well as a milkshake and cream on top. I really enjoyed the milkshake as it wasn’t too thick and was easy to drink after the cake. The restaurant had a nice feel to it and staff were friendly enough. We did go quite late and felt a bit rushed to leave (don’t worry, I’ve been there wanting to go home after a long day).

This is definitely your place if you have a sweet tooth or a thing with milk+cereals Portions are HUGE and I am glad we shared a waffle and two cereals bowls between the three of us. When I went service was a bit slower than usual but I suspect they didn’t expect a super busy random Tuesday lunch. ***For the two guys on the floor: I feel you and I wanted to hug the two of you for dealing with really demanding customers and at least 20 children when it was packed and half term was supposed to be finished. You survived, you are great.

I’ve tried both the the following freak shakes ‘kinderella brownie’ and ‘salted caramel stack’ they both come with a milkshake and dessert stacked together with amazing presentation. It would be great if they had a option to reduce amount of sugar in the milkshake itself (I have a sweet tooth & still found it too sweet) The cakes however were perfection, incredibly fresh & moist. Be warned- don’t eat anything before this, as it’s deliciously rich and filling.

The ice cream is probably one of the best tasting ice creams I’ve had.. both the cheesecake and the sundae were really good! To those of you who don't know, Black Milk is a dessert cafe in Greater Manchester and more recently in Bolton and Soho, London. They are well known around Manchester for serving irresistible dessert feasts and loaded milkshakes. After having a few trips over a few months and trying a wide selection off their menu we are finally ready to deliver our review. During our trips we have sampled; the Cookie Dough Freakshake, S'mores Waffle, Strawberry and Nutella Waffle, and Biscoff Sundae and finally, most recently, the special edition Rainbow Pride Freakshake. When we heard the news that Black Milk would be doing a specially dedicated shake towards pride, that is entirely rainbow and has a massive wedge of rainbow cake placed on top, we knew immediately that this was the shake for us. The sweet rainbow fondant fills the glass making it look glorious and aesthetically pleasing, we enjoyed that the colours were edible and were not just there to look pretty. Beyond the rainbow striped fondant was the cookie dough milkshake, which when mixed with colourful fondant, creates the perfect combination for the shake of your dreams. The cake, placed delicately on top of the shake, was just as amazing, the 6 rainbow layers complemented by vanilla frosting completed the whole 'meal'. The cake was subtle which sided perfectly next to the busy shake. The only thing we would suggest when taking on this creation is to try not to face it on a full stomach, this freakshake is a meal in itself, a meal we would happily eat in the future. Overall we would recommend trying all the wonderful creations at Black Milk as they are all fantastic, however, we would recommend getting there early as we went at around 4:45 and had two of the last three Pride Shakes. We stopped by before a trip to the cinema. Big portions held off any temptation to pick up popcorn afterwards, and also meant we had plenty to share and figure out who made the best selection (quietly confident I did with the satled caramel waffle). Great botanical decor too, and was nice and bright inside even on the rainy day we stopped in on.

Excellent place. Very friendly staff. As a party of 7 staff were very considerate as we was holding the table for 30 minutes at a peak time. We apologise for that delay on our part. Milkshakes were delicious. Also served very quickly with very friendly staff. Nice decor and open environment with clear windows. I would highly recommend the freakshakes. Also I tried the new purple shake which was again very nice! They also serve halal alternatives which is very nice of them. Top place. I got the triple oreo cheesecake shake (oreo milkshake with a slice of oreo cheesecake balanced on the jar) which was reduced to £4.50 with the eat out scheme. I'd say it's the best place for an oreo milkshake. The staff could have a done a bit of a better job in reminding people to provide their contact details which wasn't communicated at the till. There is however an A4 sheet of paper stuck halfway down one of the walls in about size 10 font with some instructions on how to provide your details for contact tracing; there is a large QR code but if you can't read the instructions then it's not clear what the QR code is for. Luckily, I was sat near the front and could just about strain my eyes to read the instructions and logged on to the website and shared my contact information. An area of improvement, I'd say. N.B The place is card is only, no cash.

Lovely little place that serves really awesome shakes and other dessert-like fantasies. Had a Reese's peanut butter shake, and my boyfriend had an Oreo shake. I can not find a single flaw in either of them, they were simply delicious!! Not the cheapest, but it's worth every penny! Go check it out!

We came here yesterday and arrived an hour after it had opened. There was no warm welcome from the staff, the cafe itself had a very bleak atmosphere as well as a very dirty floor, table and chairs. Don't get me wrong the food was fantastic as were the drinks but an atmopshere to match the enthusiasm within the social media platforms would've been nice along with a cleaner atmosphere.

First time I went there, the lady seating tables was quite rude and thought I skipped the queue but I just wanted to check the place and purchase something to go (hence minus one star, seriously). The rest of the staff seem nice, delicious desserts! The white chocolate and oreo sauces are delicious - take them for home and make your own treats too.

Visited on Friday evening with my sons and everything was perfect , even Lola my pug loved relaxing there . We stayed as long as we liked and felt no pressure to leave .....as for the food and drinks they were faultless. We had Earl grey tea which was piping hot with two yummy brownies lovely and warm and just right . My other son had kinder pancakes and agreed they were delicious . A lovely visit in these difficult times .

Seriously the best Oreo milkshake I have ever tasted. My little en had the purple one she was over the moon, its visually beautiful and tasted great too. Heart shape waffles were good too. Reason for 4 stars and not five is because I had to wait a while for the waffles, the order was forgotten and with a 3 year old and the heat she was getting fidgety and bored waiting which obviously was a bit stressful. Other than that staff were friendly, chatty and welcoming. I will 100%be going back and tasting more of the menu.

Came twice here now and loved both visits. The desserts are great and provide a lot of options, even vegan, gluten free etc. For the best experience, I would recommend to come on a night during the week just one or two hours before they close as it will be quiet and you will get served promptly. The decoration and music is very well chosen, so that it creates a great atmosphere. We also had an amazing guy serve us, who told us every last detail about the cakes they had on sale (ingredients, who made them etc.) and was just in general such a lovely guy. Thank you!

Really chaotic service and an hour’s wait (30 mins was what we were told when we came in). Nice enough when it arrived but..really?! Daughters note: I enjoyed the milkshakes very much and the wait was only a small mistake because we ordered the same thing as some other people. Either way I loved the milkshakes!

Came here for a milkshake with my partner before going back home. It wasn't so busy inside but said we would sit outside as we thought we would only be there for about 20 mins. Ordering and payment was quick however, we waited over an hour for two vegan shakes. When asked where our order was the guy said it hadn't gone through on the till. To be honest he was apologetic and the shakes arrived five mins after I questioned it. Just made me think that staff should check on customers more as obviously you could tell we were waiting there for ages with no drinks. Shakes weren't too bad however nothing to rave about.

Placed my first order recently. Shipping to the Netherlands is about 2 weeks.. It's quite long but I promise you it's worth the wait. Tastes exactly like the inside of a Bueno. I ordered the kinderella sauce and spread. They both taste amazing on pancakes and oatmeal. Would order again, definitely!

I came in on a very soggy September 20th with my son for our first visit and we got a nice friendly welcome. Service was great and the two Orio Cheese Cake Freak Shakes were to die for. He does not have such a sweet tooth as myself, so he was a little less enthusiastic about it, but I loved it. These were the most expensive shakes I have ever ordered though so if you are on a tight budget this is not for you, that said, they were worth every penny in a sort of naughty chocolatey short or way. I cant wait to come back and try something different.

Great place to have desserts, the menu offers different great options both for vegans and non-vegans. Although keep in mind that weekends could get busy and cause you to wait for nearly half an hour. Would definitely recommend the salted caramel waffles.

We went as a family for a special treat, it was very nice but not affordable for everyone which is a shame. The food was really lovely and the milk shake was amazing. There isn't slot of seating but if people have only gone in for coffee turn around can be quick. Only down side for us was the tables went very clean and really sticky luckily I had wet wipes in my bag.

Came in this afternoon and service was not only friendly but very patient too as this was my first time out socialising and had to be explained what I needed to do in order to put my details in which a lot of restaurants are doing now. I was being a bit silly and annoying but staff again patient understanding and welcoming also I did want to thank the manager for letting me use their hand gel after using the toilets in the pub opposite. As the pub opposite was not hygienic but black milk accommodated for the venue opposite by allowing me to sanitise my hands. So I want to thank the manager or owner personally for that. Back to black milk though as I said I love the venue and would recommend the salted caramel latte and again with the friendly staff and management I would definitely come there again thank you for going above and beyond for my first visit. Sorry if I was annoying it was my first day out socially lol. Precinct.

The food was really good and staff were friendly but just keep in mind when visiting that it’s card only. Also a side note there is basically nothing for someone with a nut allergy my friend had to just get a bottled drink as all the food, milkshakes and a large portion of the hot drinks are a risk of cross contamination with nuts.

We found this place by chance when looking for somewhere to have pudding. Absolutely delicious.... I had the salted caramel cake and we also had the Easter surprise in a Cadbury Easter egg. We rolled out of the place full of food. My only criticism is that the tables were really sticky, but with so much sweet stuff and sauce then I'm not surprised. Price-wise.... I would say comparable to dessert in a restaurant (6.50 to 7 pounds), but the portion sizes are definitely big enough... Couldn't manage any more!!

This is a great place to go for a jazzy milkshake in the NQ. Some fantastic options on the menu, can be a problem if you’re on a diet and avoiding flavour! Can be a bit busy sometimes, though it is only a small space and tables tend to free up quite quickly. Can take a little bit for the order to appear but it’s definitely worth the wait.

Just been there with my friends. I wasn’t really impressed with the milkshake. I choose the brownie one. You can get the same milkshake everywhere else basically for less then £5. We paid £9. On top of that, the brownie on top of the milkshake was dry and my milkshake was falling apart in 2 minutes ( I get the fact that they put ice cream on top of it and it melts) so they should have really gave up a plate. We ordered 4 milkskaes all 4 has fallen apart... my friend had one which had a cake slice on top.. well as soon as she got it I felt apart and the cake slice broke so she couldn’t really finish it.

Went to BlackMilk NQ for some sweet treats and it DEFINITELY hit the spot. 😍 This was hands-down the best freak shake I’ve ever had (and have tried quite a few!) We did have to wait a little while for it, however the server briefed us on this when confirming our order, and it was also good to know everything was made fresh and to order! 😊 All staff members were super accommodating to us (we sat outside), and provided us with the free WiFi. It is really great to see local business supporting the LGTBQ community 🏳️‍🌈, and we were also thrilled to see they offered options for our vegan friends as well. 🌱 If you’re in Manchester/Northern Quarter, CHECK out BlackMilk - you will be so happy you did.🍫

If you love desserts then you must visit here. I'm a massive cereal lover and have enjoyed plenty of their cereal cocktails which come in a chocolate bowl. Also enjoyed waffles, cakes and most recently their salted caramel and Biscoff sundae with ice cream, cream, Lion Bar cereal, Biscoff pieces and I paid the extra £1 to have it served in a chocolate waffle basket (shown below). This is a definite place to visit.

I've only ever been to Black Milk, Afflecks always enjoyed the milkshakes and cake. Depends whose on shift to how milkshakes and cake are presented some staff better than others. The tall guy with light brown/blonde hair there has been the best. We went a few weeks ago the girl on shift was messy, the counters covered in dirty pots, kept using the same milkshake jug never washing inbetween, bin over flowing, chatting at doorway to friends, kept 2 tables waiting on orders prior to us and we were waiting 20 mins plus. Tables with dirty pots and straws in jars chewed. She was standing texting instead of doing orders. We came last Friday and 2 girls on shift the place was spotless, fast service so really does depend who is working.

Ordered some kinderella spread, salted caramel sauce and some biscoff sauce from Black Milk Cereals Website. Arrived 3 days after I ordered, super quick considering the current postal situation. The kinderella spread is to die for, if you can hold of just sticking a spoon in and eating the whole jar, I commend you 😂. Made some lovely kinderella brownies using the spread as a filling and drizzle. Will definitely order some more.

Online Shop Customer - great items. Customer service shocking. Missing a glass ice cream dish from an order in August. Initially offered food items instead of a refund, asked for the refund. We first went into Manchester specifically for black milk after seeing there amazing freakshakes on instagram. Unfortunately there was an incident on Oldham street so it was cordoned off RIGHT WHERE BLACK MILK WAS!!!☹️ So the following day we went back into Manchester and it was worth it, I had the rainbow freakshake with rainbow cake and it was amazing🤤 the shake wasn’t too sickly and I was able to almost finish it!😋 Staff we’re friendly and service was great, would defo recommend!!!

Vasta scelta di bevande calde e fredde e shakes e i dolci sono super buoni e restituiscono tutte le energie perse in giro a far shopping fornendo anche una riserva per continuare.
