Contrary to another review we found this place to be great today. Staff all friendly with the lad serving us especially so, really helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. No loud music and just a mellow enjoyable experience. Everything we ordered arrived quickly and looking really good and well presented. Toilets were really clean. All the tables were really clean. Were offered takeaway boxes for all the food the kids couldn't manage. Overall I'd really recommend this place. The booths are lovely and I think the way the place is done out shows they care a lot about you having a great authentic experience.

I was originally going to give a one star for the dreadful initial interaction with the shops manager (I've forgotten his name. Middle aged Asian gentleman) over our order. I wasn't ever planning on coming back to this establishment, unfortunately my son loves this place. My second experience was so much better. I was greeted by an exceedingly wonderful young man called Ali. He was very knowledgeable about the deserts, gave excellent recommendations and made us both feel welcome. He has been this places saving grace. Thank you again Ali for exceptional service.

The place smells of delicious waffle. Somehow it managed to serve the worst ice-cream I've tasted. Really bland vanilla, chocolate and caramel. I got the chocaholic sundae. This made me think that it's desserts look good but taste awful. I wouldn't recommend it really. I may give it another try sometime in case I just had an unlucky pick.

I went to Kaspas a few years back and it was amazing. Right beside Central Station so very easy to get to and the food is to die for. Probably way too overpriced for most people but prices in the centre of town are bound to be higher. This place is great to go to with a group of friends, a party or just when you're craving some sugar!

In general, I would go again and again I strongly recommend it. It's a good place to treat family and friends to a nice dessert. We ate their sundaes, waffles and we loved them. They've got toilets as well, so you won't be stranded 👌🏽

But the service.. sadly you can tell there's nothing for the staff to be passionate about. Order via Deliveroo and boy, it was great - probably the best dessert I've ordered off Deliveroo. The waffle crumble was a perfect balance of sweetness from the apple and tanginess from the cinnamon. It also came with a much larger than expected portion of soft serve ice cream (very much appreciated!). All in all, the single waffle left two people very full, but wanting more anyway!

Once again totally enjoyed my visit. A large selection, of waffles crepes and drinks to consider & so far all seem worth a try. Do not visit often as it is kept as a nice treat, due to age and health concerns. But if younger would be a regular visitor.

Wow. If you love desserts you may have just found a little bit of paradise in Newcastle. The place has an American diner feel to the decor. It's bright and contemporary. The whole menu is dedicated to desserts. Sundaes, waffles, crepes, cake, pancakes, cookie dough. If you can manage it, the birthday extravaganza sundae looks immense. Update on 1st August 2018. Returned to restaurant. It took about ten minutes to get a seat. However, after ordering it took 28 minutes to get a coffee, coke, cheesecake and waffle. Seemed a disproportionate wait. Also noted during this entire period the same cloth was used to wipe down every table. Please rotate you cleaning cloth every 30 minutes! Food was still nice but two stars lost today from my initial review.

My partner and I had the ice cream milkshake and chocolate peanut cake. Both were very good. You can choose any two ice cream scoops (mint and pistachio for us). The cake was heavenly with a side of vanilla ice cream. Calorific for sure but worth it on a cold blustery day! Service was great. We managed to get sat straight away but just 5 minutes later and we'd have to had queued. No bad thing as they have comfy seats and the rotation of customers is pretty constant so no big wait I guess.

This branch seems to falter in quality here and there depending on the day. When I had last gone there it was with my mother. Place was clean and the toilet facilities were in working order. Ordered our food and was served with decent timing. I was happy with my order when it arrived Sad to say though that the crepe my mother ordered was very undercooked, my cookie was very gooey as well but edible. The waitress who sat us down seemed to avoid us as if she knew my mom would complain. We only went to Kaspas because Creams was closed that day, and I would personally recommend Creams for a better experience. I prefer the food and menu in Kaspa when it's on top of it's game.

If you like ice cream then this could be your heaven. There are lots of mouth watering ice cream sundaes to choose from and they all look delicious. I went for the bubblegum sundae and it came beautifully presented and tasted great. Be prepared for a short wait as this place gets busy. You wait at the door and are then shown to some seats where you wait until a table is free. Gives you a bit of time to drool over the menus

Had been before and got the caramel one this time around and there didn't seem a lot of it, in fact two of us got the same one and there were big gaps in the ice cream around the middle. A few of my friends got different ones and they had plenty of ice cream and no big gaps. Was disappointed this time around especially for the prices you pay. Service was fairly quick though.

Awesome desserts with portions that will leave you stuffed. Place was crowded but was seated (group of 6) within 5 mins. Staff was helpful and let us taste and chose the ice cream flavours we weren't sure of even though it was a busy time. Deserts were very tasty and presentation on point. Definitely recommend it.

The place was really good. The food and service was amazing, and it's a place I would go to again. This place is perfect for dates, or large groups of people. The only reason I didn't choose to rate this place 5 stars is because the entrance and queuing system within this shop is very inneficient. After 2 or 3 people are inside, you need to begin queuing outside. Furthermore, there was a time where there was quite a large queue, and yet employees were stood around chatting. Completely unnaceptable when there are customers waiting to be served, and food prepared. Overall this is a good place, despite those flaws

We waited a very very long time. The hand sanitiser on entry was watered down and no details where took for track and trace. The food and drinks came quicker than usual and just as tasty as always.

The food was excellent, but after having to send mine back twice I overhead on of the waitresses having a good old natter to her friend about me (not in a nice way) which actually really upset me and I ended up crying into my delicious waffle and rushing straight out. Not a nice experience.

Very caring staff as I arrived very hot, I was taken straight to a booth and given a glass of water and the ac turned on. Definitely needs a gold star for customer service. Joined by my sister and nieces. I had the fruit and sorbet. We all agreed the Passion fruit one was delicious. Nieces loved their choc fudge brownie cookie dough and oreo ice cream and bubble slushes. Ferrero Rocher ice cream was also a hit. Our fave treat place and will deffo be back 😃

My family travel up from Yorkshire and every trip my mum insists we visit kaspas for a fresh waffle. She doesn't meet any resistance as we all agree they are unrivaled on their array of desserts. There is a waffle for every family member, some stick to our favourites and some go off piste and make their own from the toppings menu. My brother and sister have each had a sundae and the gelato is delicious. The decor has an American diner type feel with booths. The food is great value for money at around £5-6 for a waffle which are so filling they constitute a meal!

Love the food from kaspas. Great desserts but staff does not look happy at all. Went today, quite a lot of people working, got one smile from the girl who was being trained. Also got declined from a Blue Light card discount, when it says online they do it, and their excuse was because of the Eat Out To Help Out discount when they don't lose any money from that so I don't get why I got declined. I went a few months ago and a guy sat us down and actually took his time to ask if we've been to kaspas and if we know about the ordering system. Both times we got in straight away and the place wasn't full.
