Nice food, varied menu, reasonable prices and friendly staff. We bought 1 of everything and it all came really quickly. Couple of the dishes were a little bit plain (the scallops and the potato skewers) but the rest were excellent. Particularly enjoyed the beef skewers with black garlic, the Japanese sausage and the deep fried artichoke hearts. The deserts were sublime. Go on, treat yourself!
L. A.
Good value lunch menu that is very filling. Nice drinks and friendly service. The pickles were delicious! I probably wouldn't have the curry sauce on the rice next time as the sauce on the prawns and with the chicken were sufficient.

Absolutely loved this place. Amazing atmosphere for the small restaurant on the second floor. We sat at the bar with the bartender to eat which was great as we chatted about Japan and got the insight on the best dishes. Loads of delicious small plates of food cooked to perfection! Great puddings and drinks too.

We're sure we don't need to tell the good people of Nottingham about how good it is here.
We had their delicious
Set lunch for £13.50.
Also had to try a couple of desserts
(be rude not to) £6 each
Matcha Cheesecake, lime meringue
just look at it, totally irrestible 😋😋😋
Tira-miso
Very good, and such a sizeable portion

We were so impressed with our food, everything was absolutely delicious! We had the lunch deal which was the perfect amount of food and well priced. Lovely little hidden gem, well worth travelling to Notts for!

Amazing food and vibe. Staff are friendly and helpful Really cosy and clean. My favourite restaurant in Nottingham. A must go if your a foodie.
V. F.
Fantastic little restaurant! I wish I had tried it sooner. It's basically Japanese tapas, although the portions are much bigger than any Spanish tapas I've had, so best to order less in the first instance and add to it if you want to would be my advice. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food but in no way pushy, and the service was excellent. The choice of drinks is also interesting and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
E. C.
Outstanding food, incredible flavours and ingredients, really worth the money we payed. Exciting drinks we never tired before and very helpful staff, we visited their bar afterwards! A fun, fantastic evening.
W. E.
Good Izakaya type food, pretty heavy on the soy sauce though so be aware of that.
Have some good Japanese and Korean drinks on the menu so it will be worth going again for drinks.
K. a.
Amazing food, everything was super tasty.
The cocktails are great too, especially yuzu-margarita

We visited for dinner on Saturday. Lovely atmosphere, great service and delicious food. We tried most items on the menu, and each item was delicious. Favourites being the pork belly skewers, salmon skewers, pork shoulder and aubergine starter. The spring roles are always a winner too! We also tried the margarita, which was really tasty too! Thank youuu! Xxxxx
C. G.
Absolutely incredible food - went for the lunch menu. Staff lovely and polite. 100% recommend!!
N. M.
Everyone in our party had their favourite dish but the braised pork and tiger prawns were particularly enjoyed. As it was our first visit we tried as many dishes as we could and they are all very good and made fresh to order. The sushi salmon is also one of my favourites of the evening. Sadly we were so full we didn't have room for a pudding, but we promised that we would return to have another go at the menu.

Cutting edge Japanese fair, I came from australia because I heard it was so good. Pork Belly skewers and Pulled Pork Shoulder Taco were the highlights. The parfait was worth the trip alone, perfectly balanced flavours and a generous serving. Please note those of hard of hearing may struggle when busy.
D. C.
A hidden gem, off the beaten path. I was in search of sushi (not on the menu) but was surprised with an amazing array of Japanese bbq that can compete with the best of them. The margarita is eclectic and tasty, the prawn toast is fantastic, and the special pork belly skewers were the perfect spice, and the hint of lemon, gives them a zesty flavor.
M. B.
Amazing. Japanese ingredients and cooking traditions turning into an amazing experience of flavour, texture, and visual presentation. These guys know their craft. Great atmosphere too, being able to see the food from being created in the kitchen and on to the table.
S. S.
Food lovely, service disappointing.
They make a big fuss about having the table back at a certain time. With 40 minutes to go, just after clearing our plates but with two nearly full drinks, they brought the bill over. 5 minutes later the card machine came over.
Then, with 25 minutes still left of our "slot" and two half-full drinks, they came over to say the next diners were here and they needed the table.
Really took the shine off an otherwise pleasant experience.
L. M.
Absolutely spectacular for lunch or evening meal. There is a lunch set menu that is excellent value. Flavours are just out of this world!!! I recommend booking for evening food, as it seems busy all the time
M. S.
If you can get a table, one of the best restaurants in Nottingham. Ever changing menu with incredible dishes - my favourites have been Miso Aubergine (no longer on menu) and the prawn toast, but every skewer has been exceptional as well.
C. H.
I took some clients here for the first time and we all loved it. The food and drinks were excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive and we thought it was well priced. This is going to be our go to when taking clients out in Nottingham in future.
S. W.
Nottingham’s best kept secret.
The food is unreal
Could of ordered one of everything off the menu, the skewers are delicious.
Very friendly staff
Will 100% return.
S. S.
Undoubtedly one of the best places to eat. The atmosphere and food is something I can’t describe unless you go. Completely worth it and will keep you thinking about it long after. Go to Yokocho after.
F. W.
Cosy dining experience with a great restaurant environment. Exceptional food and fairly priced for the standard offered.
Would revisit again and again when back in the UK.
My only grievance is perhaps let your newer waiting staff sample the food and drinks so they can lend an opinion when asked "what do YOU reccomend". We dont ask whats popular and never will.
Tried near enough the whole menu regardless!
A. K.
Hmm, we've been basically kicked out after 1 hour and 15 minutes because another table came over..not good, we spend 80£-90£ pounds, the staff where commented on us, definitely not anything nice. We had to rush to finish our drinks.. So I don't recommend that place, food was salty but nice, interesting definitely but overpriced a bit as well.
A. D.
Wonderful place in a little passageway (don’t be put off by it).
Set up by an enthusiastic honest team originating from Iberico World Tapas, and one of my favourites in Nottingham.
The theme is set around, but not limited to, Japanese skewers. The lunch and early evening menus are amongst the best value in town.
Fabulous for anything for solo dining to a large group.
M. V.
Really nice, if a bit pricy. We did have a bottle of really nice sake though, which probably increased the price a bit.
Not a good place for vegetarians 😋
n. y.
Apart from uncomfortable table and chairs everything was great, food is exceptional 👌
S. A.
Very tasty menu, well crafted and presented. Staff friendly and attentive. Ambience relaxed. Definitely one to go back to.
J. W.
Fantastic food and excellent service. Favourites were the Kimchi Pork and Okonomiyaki, chefs are very talented. Will most certainly be back!
l. w.
Fantastic experience, love what these guys are doing, imaginative and authentic dishes with great depth of flavour. It’s clear that respect for the ingredients is key here and it really shines through in the short but well conceived menu.
Thank you for looking after us so well !!
H. P.
Kushi-ya came as a recommendation from a work colleague, so I was forewarned as to its ‘secret’ location ie it’s down a little alleyway that makes it off the beaten track. Once you get inside and head up the steps, the decor is simple but elegant, you end in a smallish room with a high ceiling and windows to one side, the little kitchen is in a corner also up some steps so open whilst being tucked away.
The lady who served us was attentive, chatty and kind, she knew everything about the menu so could help advise us as there plenty of things that we didn’t know anything about. We ordered of the early dining menu just because it meant we could try loads of new foods plus it came with a pint of beer!!!
When the food came it was beautifully presented and was divine! I was convinced the tofu skewers were replaced with the chicken ones but apparently they’re a slightly different shape so we definitely had the tofu, it was so full flavoured. The prawn toast is like nothing you’ve ever tried before and was so delicious, I could of eaten soooo much more. To finish we had the tira-miso and the black sugar parfait. The latter was the best of the two by miles, like a sticky dense icecream with a lovely smooth texture, the sesame cracker taste stayed in my mouth all evening!
The cost was very reasonable for the quality of our experience and we can’t wait to go back with more of our family. A big thank you to the staff for making our evening so good.

Amazing Japanese izakaya resturant 🥰
Highly recommend aubergine and chicken with egg york skewers . I also really like the grilled burn chilli edamame . Beef and the rice are bit ‘meh’
6-7pm special early bird discount : one side + 2 skewers + rice + beer
P. C.
Absolutely lovely meal, can't fault a single dish. The desserts were a surprising highlight.
D. O.
We've just ordered one of their TV Dinners and they are AMAZING. Much bigger than they look on their photos too.
We also had the fried chicken and fried potatoes. Just having a break as there is so much!
The taste is just superb.
I hope they continue post lockdown!
Thank you!

Fantastic skewers & other Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Nottingham. The restaurant is decorated simply with wood labelled walls, but feels a world away from Nottingham.
Mushroom (shimeji) tempura was the highlight for me.
It isn’t cheap for Nottingham (~£35 per person), but fantastic quality and worth the money.
The lunch menu is great value at only £10!
M. T.
Genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had, amazing staff, great atmosphere and decor, very affordable for the quality, the lunch deal in particular is fantastic value for money and you get to try a lot of dishes!
Its a must if you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine as it’s a side of it you don’t see often enough!
W. P.
Firmly in my top three restaurants in Nottingham, you're pushed to find a better valued lunch option than at Kushi-ya. Pick a starter, two skewers and rice (the optional katsu sauce is a must) and you're in culinary heaven! Plus, they have Asahi on tap. Result.
K. C.
What an amazing place! Staff are so helpful and food is delicious! Will definitely visit again
N. A. D.
Fresh delicious food presented beautifully in a light and intimate restaurant. I had the lunch set menu with my friend and was truly impressed.
Don't miss the homemade matcha tiramisu (it is to die for!)
I can't recommend Kushi-ya higher!
The wine was also really good and the cocktails looked fantastic!
F. P.
This place is a must for any food lover. It’s Japanese inspired food, but different from any Japanese restaurant you might have tried before. Simon has so much experience, knowledge and a true passion for fine dining, and it shines through in these dishes. All the recipes are original and crafted with maximum attention to detail. The skewers concept makes it novel and unique. All ingredients are of the finest quality. Make sure you try the beef and black garlic skewers, as well as everybody’s favourite: tira-miso!
A.
I’ll keep this review simple… you must try this place… it’s sooo good!
K. H.
A hidden secret restaurant in Nottingham, it’s based in an alley next to Chatime, although there aren’t many seats in the restaurant, it’s still a worth for you to pop in anytime. Highly recommend the lunch offer with extra curry sauce on rice, it’s definitely a taste of Japanese cuisine. The perfect cooked beef skewers bring you a tender texture.
S. P.
Very satisfied- great balance of quality, quantity and value for money. The atmosphere and staff are great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
J.
Amazing food, best Japanese in Nottingham by far. Everything reasonably priced, very impressed.
L. M.
It makes me happy that the venue I used to know as The Alley Cafe has such a superb new crew of people serving some of the most innovative Asian-inspired dishes I have seen in Nottingham for some time. It's a limited menu, but I don't think I'd ever get bored with what is on it.... incredible flavours and delicious fresh ingredients. Great service. Love it!
m. m.
The food here was incredible and the staff were excellent. We turned up on a Saturday evening without a booking and were told that the restaurant was booked up for the next three hours. We were told that if we grabbed a drink at the sister bar around the corner they'd ring over if a table became available. We were only in the bar for half an hour before we were told they had a table for us. The staff were so lovely, they went above and beyond and it was such a special experience. Each dish was gorgeous and the restaurant had a great atmosphere, I strongly recommend giving it a visit :)
S. T.
Always a pleasure to visit Kushi-ya, I also always order too much food and drink... The belly pork is the best thing ever (when its on the menu), The menu is consistantly good and seasonal so take advantage of that. A great experience to share with a group of friends, A place that lifts up Nottingham.
I.
Amazing! If you dine between 6-7pm, you can try 1 snacks, 2 skewers, rice and a pint for only £15.
I have picked the prawn toasts (the best I have ever eaten), the chicken and the beef skewers.
P-S: the watermelon cocktail is to die for 🍉
D. D.
Nice enough place, not so good for gluten intolerances or celiacs however the chef did some dishes that wasnt on the menu.. overall ok, but not too Japanese..
M. K.
Amazing food with unique menu. It's my second visit here and was blown away again. One of the best restaurants I have been. They have lots of vegan options to choose from.
Wish I lived closer so I can come more often. Definitely recommend to try this hidden gem.
C. H.
Literally everything was amazingly delicious . Also such a hidden gem- quiet and quaint down a little alley! Oh and great service!
k. r.
Small place but good place for Japanese grill cuisine with veg and non-vegetarian options and with starters and mains in option. They also have a good drinks menu ranging from cola, ales to cocktails. As the place is small, so serving is fast. The place is not easy to find from the main road view. No place for outside eating as well.
L. A.
Lovely food went for a work colleagues leaving lunch. Really enjoyed it great value
m. “.
First time trying Japanese yakitori and this was the perfect Lunch option. Light, yet filling and all the food was so flavourful. Recommend the edamame snacks!
E. C.
The food is simply phenomenal, evening service is speedy but expect a little wait during the lunch service
C. R.
A new hidden gem for Nottingham. Fantastic food that’s not badly priced, came for the lunch menu, wasn’t disappointed. 10/10 would come again
J. D.
Absolutely fantastic place, always something good on the specials and superb drink selection. The tira-miso is a must! It's popular so book well in advance. They also have a small cocktail bar the next nook along, well worth going early for a drink.
s. (.
Food quality was outstanding. The sticky rice with the spicy curry sauce, the chicken skewers and the beef skewers. 10/10 and not expensive at all for what it was. A true gem
M. D.
A real hidden gem. I dont think I would have ever found this place if it wasn't for TripAdvisor, but I'm so glad I did.
I really dont know how authentic the japanese food js, but it doesnt matter. Its all delicious, the prices are quite cheap and i ended up almost ordering the whole menu.
This place seems to be great for vegetarians with quite diverse veggie options.
The place itself is small, but cute and cosy. Full view of the kitchen, everyone seems happy and professional.
Cant wait to come back.
X. V. A. A.
Lunch or dinner, amazing food, original, nothing you have tried before, worth the prices.

Hi Kushi-ya
Our second dining trip here - Evening meal on a Thursday night, table of 4. Restaurant quite busy if not full.
Food absolutely bang on point as usual. Delicious, excellent presentation and cooked perfectly… However I can’t help but feel customer service was unfortunately below par and did impact our dining experience somewhat:
- Told by the guy who took our order I probably hadn’t ordered enough food so I said I’d simply order another dish if I felt the same when the mains were ready. He basically said ‘sorry mate you’ve only got two hours’ and that I should order my extra dish immediately. Which is probably true and that’s fine but it didn’t make us feel particularly comfortable and set the general tone for the rest of the dining experience
- Waitresses not very enthusiast/charismatic and frankly not particularly friendly
- No single waitress assigned to table (which is fine but added a bit of confusion)
- Service very slow
- General lack of attention from the waitresses, for example we were not asked once whether the food was ok or if we needed more drinks
- Table wasn’t ever really cleared so we had to eat among lots of empty plates, bottles and glasses
- No clean cutlery or bowls/plates were provided in between courses and the waitress actually made us all awkwardly scrape our edamame bean skins, by turn, into a dish so we could re-use our bowls!! Which we all thought was quite ‘surprising’
- After this the 10% service charge was automatically added to the bill which we didn’t particularly feel like paying but felt too awkward to challenge and just paid it
Two other points -
The tiny glasses of plum wine are very expensive at £7.50 each
I booked online and found it extremely odd that I had to enter my credit card details in order to secure a table
There we are! It’s a shame because the food is great but it has changed my opinion of Kushi-ya as the first trip was great. The bill came to over £160 so I expect a bit better really. Yep
C. P.
May be some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The specials and the pork shoulder were exquisite.
Staff were knowledgable, friendly and efficient.
well worth the money and will certainly be going again.
K. A.
Another amazing meal here, the food is bloody delicious, service excellent, and officially my favourite place to eat in Nottingham.
S. B.
Food is out of this world. Literally amazing. However management-wise they fell short. We waited 20 min despite booking in advance and were asked to step outside for that as it was rammed inside with people waiting. This aspect can definitely be improved but I’d still recommend the place
E.
amazing, genuinely best restaurant I've ever been to
R. S.
Amazing 👏, I was invited to try food and I was really kindly surprised with so tasty well served food and lovely peaple around. I have worked in the kitchen long time and really can recommend this place to enjoy different kind of special food! 😊
J.
Delicious food! Superb flavour combinations, fantastic specials, great drinks selection. Friendly, efficient service. What's not to love?
A. E.
Some of the best Japanese foods I've had in the UK, really rival's some Tokyo restaurants.
R. B.
What can I say... I struggle to find words that can really describe the level of mastery that you’re dealing with here, hands down the best restaurant I’ve had the pleasure of visiting in Notts, and I like to think I’ve experienced all the city has to offer.
Simon and his team are some of the most dedicated and skilled chefs I know of in the industry, and my god do they show it! It was getting to the point where I felt like they were just showing off how good their food is and how they’ve conquered the trade. Precision, quality and consistently good flavoursome food will leave you wanting more.
I will be returning to this place for the foreseeable and recommending to all who may desire such deliciousness.
S. P.
This was the best Japanese food I've ever eaten .I want to go straight back 😍.food different but in a good way .staff and service very good .
M. L.
Amazing. Stunning. Mind boggling. There aren't enough words for how special this place is. Everything is on point, from the ambience to the service to the tableware. The food is incredible. Simple, elegant, refined and delicious. Always something interesting on the specials board and the core menu never disappoints. The prawn toast is life changing.
E. G.
Absolutely incredible Japanese food, perfect service and super reasonable prices. Only wish the space had a bit more ambience and nicer decor so you could relax more - feels quite sparse, like a cafe / canteen.
J. R.
Amazing hidden gem, It's tucked away from the busy market Square it took me a little while to find it. Food was amazing and service was excellent.
D. U.
I must admit being a bit confused about the hype around this place. The food and service were both fine, but I felt that overall it was around 30% more expensive than what it is worth
T. S.
The decor is minimal and well-chosen, lending the place a casual, warm feel. The food is interesting, a good mixture of vegetarian & meat options with different cocktails that your average fare. The specials when we went were really great, so don't forget to check the board before ordering. A little pricey, but the food is filling if you order a few plates to share, and the tira'miso dessert is a delicious end to a meal!
Y. Y.
Really good place. I ordered the lunch set and it was amazing. Shrimp bread, beef, and chicken yaki was super great. Taste are really good and rich.
L. D.
Nice restaurant with great theme and lots of natural light. I love how the kitchen is always in view so you can see the making of the food. The food itself is brilliant I would only say that you don't get enough for the price that you pay, I left the restaurant wanting more as I wasn't full.
Despite that I would go back on special occasions to treat myself to good food because that's what you find there.
C. P.
What a place.
The service is really good and the food possibly the best in the city.
Have been a few times now and can highly recommend trying out the lunch set menu to give you a taste of what they do. £10 gives you their delicious sticky rice, a couple is different skewers and a snack. The nori sesame crisps are amazing.
In the evening you can’t go too far wrong ordering everything from the specials board.
Will be back very soon!
J. L.
One of the best dining experiences in Nottingham, highly recommended!
J. K.
Nice little restaurant up a side street in Nottingham. The lunchtime meal was great value with a choice of two skewers a snack with rice and curry. Great flavours and cooked very well.
Service was quick and polite and very nice for a limited set of lunchtime meals in Nottingham. Worth a look for something different.
H. T.
Absolutely delicious food, created by chefs with a real passion for what they are doing. Make sure you go back often as the menu changes regularly with new and exciting items frequently. Also a very good value lunch deal for £10. Highly recommended!
M. R.
Absolutely fantastic. Alchemilla the Michelin Star restaurant recommended Kushi-ya to us after we couldn't get in there, saying it was their favourite place. It's now mine!
My partner is vegan and they had a separate menu already for her. Everything was delicious and morrish, from the edamame beans,to the gyoza, to the tofu. It was just wonderful. Different dip, sauces and broths were all spot on. The prawn toast was a real surprise and was juicy and enticing. Nothing we bought cost more than £7, so very reasonable price, more so for how great it was!
Make sure you phone ahead as it's a very small site, and quite tricky to find. We ended up asking a local if he knew of it.
Just go and be amazed!
H. T.
Truly incredible food unlike anything else in Nottingham. The menu is constantly updated with innovative and exciting dishes. Love that all their meat is free range and sourced locally too! Staff are always lovely and the atmosphere is great.
c.
I nearly didn’t leave a review because I wanted to keep this place off the map before it becomes mega popular but that would be unfair on the talented people who work there! This place is awesome! Theme is Asian tapas which works fantastically well. Food is cooked and presented perfectly, absolutely delicious, full of flavours and a massively differing range of options that don’t disappoint! Stop reading this and just go and enjoy the food and the excellent customer service! Seriously just go! You will not be disappointed! 😀
J. W.
I was a little underwhelmed given all the good things i'd heard. We booked a table and arrived on time and we had to wait for others to vacate before we could be seated. The food was a little overpriced outside of the lunch/theatre offer options, I didn't feel like it was good enough to justify the final bill. I found the decor lacked atmosphere, its a small place but it didn't feel cosy and noise from bigger parties dominated the room. I'd visit again for a casual lunch on the set menu tariff but not for an evening meal experience.
J. B.
The food is perfectly balanced and truly delicious. The best of each ingredient is displayed through simple yet thoughtful preparation with a great flow through the menu and specials. House white is fresh and clean tasting and works well with the richness of the dishes.
Particular highlights are the salmon tataki and the beef skewers with black garlic.
K. D.
Very nice restaurant and the food is really great.
R. F.
Another fantastic meal at this fantastic little restaurant - alas probably the last for a few weeks due to the latest COVID lockdown.
Managed to order a more sensible amount this time, a snack, small plate, skewer and rice each was just enough. The specials of the Japanese sausage with curry sauce and the pork belly with lotus root and mustard were two of the nicest dishes I’ve had here - and that’s saying a lot.
I’ve got no idea what Michelin inspectors look for when they hand out their stars, but if it’s food quality alone then Kushi-ya is more than deserving. Hopefully they’ll be back stronger than ever when everything reopens.
N. J.
Great food..fresh and beautifully presented. Great little vegan menu.
A. W.
Quality food, I'd love to try more from the menu based on today's lunch. Tasty and indulgent mochi, the best I've had in Notts. There's an intimate feel without being cramped. The staff were friendly too. Thanks for a great meal.
R. P.
Amazing little place. Would highly recommend!
L. H.
Previously alleycafe, Kushi-ya has refurbished the interior with a clean modern decor and opened up the kitchen so that it can be seen from your table. Service was excellent and the food on point. £10 lunch menu includes one choice of snack, 2x2 skewers and a bowl of sticky rice. Just as it looks the food was excellent and we shall definitely return to try the rest of the menu.
C. S.
The decor is much improved from it's previous incarnation as the Alley Cafe. Light and airy with a modern feel. The menu is rather varied offering small plates and skewers. I went for the lunch menu and the food was excellent.
S. A.
Excellent food, great time. All the staff were amazing!!
B.
Brilliant restaurant. This was my 7th/8th visit and I would say this is easily in the top three restaurants in Nottingham, a city in which we are spoilt for independent restaurants. Try the chicken tsukune, tempura shimeji, yuzu sake and above all, the black sugar parfait dessert, and you will not go wrong. 10/10 for service and food.
S. L.
Wow! So much more than yakitori. They have maintained an amazing atmosphere despite covid. The cocktails are with a twist but are improved rather than a gimic Every dish I've had is faultless imo. Keep it up!
R. M. (.
Amazing food, great selection of beautifully made dishes in an intimate and exclusive feeling location. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning!
D. N.
Beautiful and tasty food, amazing service and very reasonably priced. It's Japanese inspired tapas. Can't fault a single thing, will definitely be back!!!

Amazing food in a relaxed Izakaya setting. Order the prawn toast!!! Will be back again very very soon
A. R.
Quirky venue, the lunch menu is excellent value for money and the specials are delicious.
S. K.
Stopped for lunch, excellent. Food delicious and authentic.
M. B.
Great food, was full of flavour, the service was brilliant!! Almost everything was vegan this evening not sure if the menu changes!! Worth going.. Maybe could do with some background music...
L. R.
I visited only once when I was in Nottingham a few months ago, and now that I am about to come back I started thinking 'we should definitely go back to that Japanese place!'.
We were a mixed party of vegan/ vegetarian/ omnivores and everyone left happy and satisfied. Yakitori were positively incredible and the menu in general was not your typical Japanese. It has a nice feeling and reminded me of some Izakaya we had been to in Japan. Also try their fusion dessert, a tiramisu made with miso, mind blowing.
J. K.
Friendly staff, AMAZING food, and great selection of beers.
Tiger prawn skewers and asparagus skewers highly recommended.
Also, ditch the Asahi and given Tiny Rebel’s Clwb Tropicana a try!
S. M.
Unique little hidden gem. Tasty food and good friendly service. Highly recommend the pawn toast, grilled avocado, tampura shimeji and black sugar parfait
L. W.
Fantastic food, great service, make sure you check out the specials board on the day. I've been to yakitori places in Japan and this is the closest thing you'll find to it in the East Midlands! Will definitely return!
Y. L.
Gastronomical surprises await at the end of a sketchy alley 🤤

The food it was really good!
We will be back soon😊
C. R.
Exceptionally tasty food with a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
S. H.
Good city Japanese food. Not many tables so you might have to wait at busy times or go to a local bar if you reserve and come back.

Skewers and meat dishes great, but rice was a little undercooked and watery
