My friend and I visited yesterday and had an excellent experience. We had 3 courses all of which were amazing, especially the baklava, and everything came in huge portions so it's well worth the money. The host (who I assume is the owner) was so friendly and attentive and took the time to chat with people despite the restaurant being full. We will definitely come back and I highly recommend visiting!

Now, this is it. I felt like family, a warm hug of familiarity as I was greeted by the staff and the spices as you come through the door. Soul food is sold as the deep south, but this Persian feast brought a new meaning to the term. From the staff to the food, the atmosphere was charming. Attentive yet respectful servers talked us through their favourites. We both picked stew, it was hearty and felt like a labour of love. Something passed down from generations and refined each time - perfectly balanced in pomegranate sweetness and sour spitces. It was a brilliant experience and one we cannot wait to come back for! A real treasure just along from Sneinton Market. Thanks guys for a wonderful evening!

I’m feeling slightly mixed. The walnut and aubergine dip was tasty, but we had to send it back as we found two hairs in it. We were promptly brought a new one and it tasted great. The chicken wing starter was a hit! The mains all tasted good but we felt they were all missing a bit of salt, yet delicious nonetheless. The baclava was great, and the tea was absolutely incredible. I would definitely recommend pistachio over Persian empire for anyone looking for quality Persian food made without cutting corners.

Nottingham is so lucky to have such a good restaurant. We had a lovely selection of 4 dips to start- some well loved flavours and some new. The food was delicious and the service professional and friendly. We’ve had the mixed grill, the grilled halloumi and the roasted aubergines (vegetarian) stew. It was very good! We’ve also treated ourselves to some baklava’s made with pistachio. It was exquisite. I highly recommend the place.

Beautiful and cozy place. We had gone there for dinner. Staff is very warm and polite. As I was having persian cuisine for the first time, I was confused as which stew flavour I should go for. But staff offered me tasters for two stews to choose from. That was very kind and helpful. Kid friendly restaurant. Food was extraordinarily flavourful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

A new Persian restaurant in Nottingham. Eat there on a Friday evening with a group of friends. The food was beautifully presented and the tastes and flavours were amazing. Delicious in fact. On complementing the chef, I learned that they are a family run restaurant. Husband cooking, wife at the front and with father also in the kitchen. Very welcoming and friendly service. With amazingly tasty food too. Beautifully presented. An all around fantastic evening had by all.

We had a great time, it was my friends birthday and I let them know beforehand. They made a real effort and owners seem great. I had a spinach and artichoke dip which was 10/10 and a veggie stew which was super tasty! We will be back! Thank you for this great evening. We enjoyed it thoroughly! Easy to book via email, welcomed at the door with lovely olives. Food arrived quickly and all tasted very fresh and delicious. Nice atmosphere with the music and decor. Only suggestion would be to improve the table and chairs as they currently didn't really match the nice asthetic of the restaurant. Will definitely be coming back!

Visited for early dinner on Saturday. Friendly & helpful staff. Having never visited a Persian restaurant before, we were unsure what to expect - came away loving it. We shared a 4-dip starter plus some Persian king prawns. We over-indulged on the delicious bread and dips. We then shared three main courses, grilled options: halloumi, chicken wings and lamb. All came with salad and safron rice. Delicious although we struggled to finish them all because of the aforementioned bread 🙂 They have Beck's Blue moon-alcoholic beer and an interesting Belgium saffron blond beer. I thoroughly recommend and will be visiting again soon. Conveniently close to both the Neon Raptor and Liquid Light taprooms.

Absolutely love this place we have been so many times! The staff are always so welcoming and the food is delicious. Our favourite dishes are definitely the dips - the loaded hummus and aubergine dip. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely fabulous. Popped in 10 minutes before opening time in a Friday night with a car ful of kids. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Had a take away consisting of 4 pots of dip 4 huhe bags of flatbreads, 4 starters, 2 large main courses for £80. Fed 9 of us. Food was top notch, full of flavour and just as described. Can not rate this restaurant highly enough.

I've been to this restaurant 10 days ago to celebrate my wife's birthday. I knew about it thanks to a list of the best Nottingham restaurant and I have to say I totally agree with it. The food was delicious (even the day after... we ordered too much and brought home some) and the service is just perfect. We'll be back for sure!

Beautiful meals. The king prawn starter had a great sweet and sour tang and the lamb chops main meal was seasoned and grilled to perfection. The main meal was well sized with 6 lamb chops. Would highly recommend and will be returning!

On a trip from Newcastle, would come to Nottingham again simply for Pistachio. Food was excellent, I highly recommend the aubergine & lamb stew and the rose ice cream. Oh and if you get the chance the watermelon cocktail is unreal. Staff were friendly and approachable, and the atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend a trip.

Well, what can I say....I'll start by saying the restaurant on Carlton Road is warm, welcoming and stylish. The food itself is outstanding, beautifully presented and flavoursome. This is some of the best dips, starters and mains I have ever had the pleasure in tasting. Pure divine. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. They even tried to help me with a problem I had, whereby I needed some tickets printing off to get in the Arena nearby. Though we wasn't successful (printer wouldn't connect)in geting the tickets to print off.....but they tried. It's so rare to tick all the boxes...and this one certainly does. We will most definitely be goin there again

As soon as I stepped into the restaurant I was engulfed by the welcoming smell of spices and good food. The ambiance of the restaurant is really welcoming and the servers and the staff in general are very amicable and efficient. There is a wide range of food available catering for people with dietary restrictions. It is also reasonably priced and served in a timely manner.

Treated ourselves to a takeaway during these uncertain times. Looks like a reduced menu so tried to vary the chosen dishes and wow we weren't disappointed. The food looked so appetising, tasted amazingly flavoursome and was plentiful. I have never sampled sauce combinations like it before, so as soon as the restaurant reopens I will be booking a table for some more incredible Persian food.

Eaten twice at the Sneinton restaurant and had excellent food with friendly and helpful service. Last night we ordered takeaway from them which was incredible! Generous portions, delicious food and easy to order. The highlight is always the Persian dips and bread (in particular the warm aubergine and walnut - so smoky!) but the mains were also great and we were particularly impressed by how tender and juicy the grilled lamb was after having been in a takeout carton for 20 minutes. If you live out of area you do need to pay for the taxi delivery but well worth it in our opinion.

Food was delicious and plenty of it. Service was very good and quick. Needed a bit more atmosphere and better wines but talking to one of the owners she told us they are opening a second Pistachio in Sherwood in 5 to 6 weeks which will tick all of the above. Will definitely try there too.

I love this place staff are always super friendly and the food is always great. Decided to partake in there Valentien menu and it was perfect meal for two. I have eaten at many Persian restaurants but this has got to be one of my favorite, highly recommended.

Wow, some great flavours here and all was super delicious, a mixed starter coped with us all and the spicy tomato meatballs i could have easily had as a main. The only comment was it was a bit smoky from the cooking so we all came out smelling of the cooked food and a few of the dishes were off the menu as a big move was planned, never less a great evening and super attentive service. Best restaurant I've been to in Nottingham. This place has soul! The food is authentic and each dish is bursting with flavor and passion. The kitchen is open and lively. Feels like a celebration is going on- one of culture, good food, family, and pride. You feel the pride in every bite and in the friendly service. This is what you want when you go out. Something you cannot recreate at home. Something you're happy to pay for. We brought out of town friends here from London and they were very impressed. I will be back for sure! Wow! Packed with flavours and staffs are amazing they make sure you are happy with your food We had the lamb chops and the mix and daily specials the spinach lamb curry was tasty and beautifully plated and the drink sparkling watermelon mocktail is now my favourite ! We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a 7 month old so it was quite tricky to keep him entertained. Fortunately the staff were incredibly helpful and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and we had the most succulent lamb in a long while. Came here because it was one of the few halal restaurants in Nottingham that wasn't Indian. So glad we chose Pistachio and will definitely be back!

Wanted to try this new place for dinner with work colleagues as I was really curious about the menu + the place has high ratings. However for me it did not live to expetatexpec nor it's rating. The food was just meh!! And the restaurant was very smoky maybe the extraction not working properly, when I left all my clothes smelled of barbequed food. What a shame as I feel this place has tons of potential, staff are really friendly and polite. Just put more effort on food portions and quality as is not cheap ( not expensive either) but for what I paid expected better food quality and portion size. Hope management listens to reviews.
