Gluten free treat. Gelato is extremely yummy and superb. Cakes are divine and good prices too. 😋 kids can watch the milkshakes being made from the window too.l!

The ice-cream is the best in the area, l highly recommend to try the pistachio one💚 But the cakes l had not so long ago unfortunately were nothing special and even dry which was a disappointment. I'm sure they will make them better though. Take your children there if you haven't been yet, they will love it

The icecreams grabbed my eye while I walked past. There is a wide variety of icecreams and baked goods. Or choose between a waffle or crepes. Unfortunately they did not have waffle batter, which I found out after waiting for five minutes to put in my order, so minus one star for that. I could only choose a crepe but it was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. There are lots of sauces and toppings to put on the crepe and the employee was so apologetic about the wait and the lack of waffle batter. It's reasonably priced for what it tastes. I'm very happy I spotted the store and hope to be back soon. I might order their delicious looking milkshake next time.

Oooo what can I say...very yummy ice cream, all own made with local produce, although I've only had ice cream from here (on lot's of occasions 😃) the menu looks very good, also brilliant as they do dairy free & gluten free ice cream & cones...a big plus for my family

Kids love this place. My daughter is wheat & gluten intolerant, & they have a really good range of w&g free desserts. Prices are a bit on the high side, but worth it. Staff are really friendly & helpful.

It’s a nice place to grab some ice cream but I don’t know the atmosphere in the actual place is terrible. It’s so awkward. I’ve been twice now and it’s been the exact same. The girl who served me and my boyfriend doesn’t know how to smile so when you’re ordering it feels like you’re bothering her. The mum - obviously the manager- doesn’t acknowledge anyone when they enter the store. It’s lacking a warm welcome. Some music could help the situation, I’m not sure if the owners are getting a music license or not but having one would really benefit the place. Also a nit pick. It’s called Gelato and Cakes but they only do sundaes/ice cream, crepes and waffles. No actual cakes. First time I went it was like a few days after they’d opened so I was giving them the benefit of the doubt as to the fact they’re a new business but things don’t seem to be improving. I’ve seen on Facebook that the reviews that are similar to my own, the owner takes them very personally and doesn’t see it as constructive criticism.

Great ice cream, but let down by not very welcoming staff, went in when first opened put it down to lack of training as young staff, but still no hello, a smile or thanks, see you again. It wasn't busy. It was only when I looked at menu saw that there were extras eg flakes, these were not offered. Will I go again, probably not, need to make all customers feel valued in such a niche market
