Reviews of U Agnieszki
Such such good food! Everything was clearly made fresh. You could hear the chicken breast being battered out. You could taste the cabbage was fresh within the slaw, not from a jar, made on site and was maybe only a day old. Fresh mushrooms in the sauce. Everything was superb. You do have to wait a little time, this wasn't a quick meal BUT they say good things come to those who wait and this was well worth it. Fantastic food. Someone else mentioned it was expensive. Rediculous. It was great value for money. Soft drinks £1.50. Sides £3 to £7. All freshly made. Would absolutely recommend. But give yourself time.
Absolutely wonderful find, all old world cooking from scratch. Very generous portions made with lots of love and attention. I had the soup of the day pickle soup topped with fresh dill and stuffed cabbage. My husband had the breaded chicken breast with roasted potatoes and salad. It was amazing, I’ll be going back to try other dishes before we leave town.
The place is lovely. We came when it was really quiet after a busy day. They have a good selection of drinks and we were extremely promptly served.
The goods
- incredible and quick service
- very tasty food
- fresh ingredients
- simple, fitting ambience
- polish radio
- portion sizes
The band's
- mediocre wine selection
- warm wine
- slightly on expensive side
- no sides included
The overall experience was really positive for both me and my partner. The food was great, the service was too. Portion sizes are huge which means that the sides are not included. We asked and were offered takeaway boxes to make sure we don't waste any of the left over goodness.
Great place. Perfect food taste. Nice and big portions. Just one small minus, no music in background. Overall 5star
Every time I visit Swindon I visit this restaurant. Delicious food (like at home). I highly recommend. Lovely friendly staff
I have only ordered once so far, but feel compelled o post a review. This was a lovely change from heavily spiced or heavily industrialised food. This was cuisine similar to what I've had in people's homes, but of course to a higher standard of quality. Hearty, natural and quite delicate flavours, herby, fresh. I will certainly be back.
Wow,wow,wow!
Perfect and delicious food with huge portions! Real taste of "polish kitchen",you will not gonna be disappointed for sure.
Dog friendly as well!
Highly recommended!
I tried Polish food for the first time in England and wanted to order some before I left the country-and let me tell you, the food here is the kind that makes you put everything else down and just be in bliss for awhile. Like some sort of religious awakening.
I ordered the sour soup (which they were out of and replaced with a sour cucumber soup which I LOVED), the meatballs (Melone) with salad and mashed potatoes, and they threw in some homemade cake as they were out of the Zurek. I cannot describe to you just how good this was-you must experience it for yourself! My only regret is not having found this restaurant sooner. Thank you so much for making my last days here more memorable. If only you were in the States, too!
Agnieszkas is brilliant. The actual place is not much to look at, either inside or out and the service simple. The menu is small. But the food is superb. Great for portions, flavours of Poland. A must try are the pierogi and the surowki with your mains.
