Asif you ever go Wrexham and try this portoguse cafe, you will never forget it. Ask for the daily lunch menu. Tasteful and very lovely food. Also dare to get soup and dessert.

Lovely lunch this afternoon here, I chose to sit outside to the suprise of the staff, but after 10mins of being sat on my own, all the outside tables were filled with customers, food freshly prepared, tasted fantastic, I choose two tapas plates, price of my latte was cheaper than most in and around the area of town, seemed to be a popular place as it was busy inside, all in all 10 out of 10, definitely worth a visit

Nice and cosy,seating outside available, the service was fast, the gentlemen who served us were pleasant and helpful. We came after the lunch, the restaurant were busy but after ordering ,waited only some 20mins for our meals. The portions very nice sized and food absolutely delicious ! 😋 Remember to try Pastel de Nata ,won't regret. Very very very nice experience 👌 thank you

Sadly have downgraded my original 5star to 3star... Management change has not been great. Although chef Maria is still cooking up a storm, using the much reduced -better menue, Maria makes amazing food; sadly this is let down by the exceptionally rude front of house owner/manager who rarley leaves his buddies-at the bar; and goodness forbid you order from him...the scowl you get as he has to pull himself away from chatting to his friend -heaven help you! Other customer have shared they've heard him complain that there are too many customers and that they didn't purchase enough stock. Amid the current economic downturn and post-covid it surprises me that this is and remains to be his attitude 🤔 The taller, male waitron-who although lovely and exceptionally laid back- is inefficient and forgetful (even though looks to jot everything down), his communication isn't great and he tends to bring you the wrong thing or nothing at all and wow he's so slow... we took tonordering 3drinks each at a time! Once regular lunch & dinner customers; I now find going there extremely hard work and the dining experience becomes frustrating; as you have to get up to help yourself to condiments; serviettes and even drinks if you run out; as well as clearing uour own table of empty glasses and bottles (suppose serves us right for ordering 3drinks at a time!).. and then you of course need to check your bill carefully as many items are missed off! We love Chef Maria and know she works hard in the kitchen, her food and cakes are out of this world it is so sad some of the front of house don't seem to share that same passion for all-people. 😞 ‐-‐ Absolutely amazing! So happy this place was recommended to us... a real family run, down to earth Mozambique-Portuguese restaurant that serves amazing home-style cooking with that family "round the kitchen table" feel. The owner is front of house and serves behind the bar and the customers. If you have the time to chill and if you enjoy excellent food without all the "fuss".. then I highly recommend Vasco Da Gama.

Hello everyone! I want to write a review of this place as it is the perfect place for a family meal. We usually visit with my partners grandparents who are regulars and we always find the food and the company to be utterly perfect. Food excellent. Owners and staff very friendly and welcoming. We go there often and they are very cooperative in cooking items to suit our individual members. Grabdskn , ,- began so roasted vegetables and toasts and hummus for starter and mushroom risotto for mains. The gsmbas to start served with garlic bread excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Enjoyed my time at Vasco Da Gama. Had the Vasco Da Gama Beef and enjoyed it very much and reasonably priced. It's not a fancy restaurant but it's not meant to be, and the atmosphere is still nice. Fairly quiet when i was there but it was 18:30 on a monday evening. Would love to go again if i'm back in Wrexham.

We commissioned a cake for our little boys presentation... and oh my giddy aunt the chef at Vasco Da Gama did a stella job...it was simply out of this world deeeelishious! Made with a fine flour and fresh cream icing there wasn't a crumb left ... and like a numpty I forgot to take a photo ...oh well we'll just need to commission another ;) The owner is fabulous, so welcoming and always happy to see us! Our family os so chuffes that they are now in bigger premesis and have extended to meals aswell as the fab desserts.
