I am really surprised by the negative feedback. I have used Home Appliance Guard for a number of years. I have never had any issue with Customer Service, they have always been prompt and helpful.
Recently, the HDMI on our TV failed and the engineer was out within a week, but the cost of repair was to much. So I was offered a replacement or the cash. I looked at the replacement on line and agreed that it was fine. it was delivered in a couple of days.
We have our Hotpoint Washing Machine with them too. That has been rebuilt so many times over the last 10 years. It has been real value for money having the insurance. A couple of weeks ago the motor packed in. The engineer was out the next day. Although he could not fix it he arranged a new motor and it was running again within the week.
I can't fault them or Home Appliance Guard. Never a problem, always happy to help. Having been a manager with Tesco, I am happy to complain about anything that I am not happy with.

I’ve had my washing machine covered through Home Appliance Guard for some time now, the process used to involve a lengthy wait for an engineer to come out, they’ve sped this system up now, I called to report a problem where my washer was tripping my electric at 09.30 on the Tuesday, the engineer turned up at 08.00, had diagnosed and replaced the heating element and left by 08.30 Wednesday. 23 hours is an immense improvement.
I’d considered looking around for a new policy when I had some time soon, but I really can’t fault this service, obviously I’d like it to be cheaper, but at £6.25pm, it’s not too much when you take into account the fact they’ve basically replaced my whole machine internally over the past 2y

I must say I have received splendid service from home appliance guard. A guy from Hotpoint came to check out my dishwasher, which sadly was not repairable. Received a phone call the next day and all was sorted. I have most of my home appliances insured and also my sons xbox. I would certainly recommend to my friends and family

My wife took the policy and had when we wanted to cancel there was miscommunication with the agent. In spite we want to cancel the policy as we have not taken decision to go ahead and wanted to do bit more market search, the agent kept saying they are happy to extend until I have taken a decision. When we decided to cancel they simply want to charge us for the extended period. I then asked to speak to the manager Natalie who was very understanding and took the charges off. This service was appreciated and after few market research I have now decided to go back especially after the way my complaint was dealt by the manager Natalie.
